Starting point is 00:00:00 We need an emergency pod! And an emergency pod! Adam Curry, John C. Dvorak. And Sunday, July 14, 2024, this is your award-winning Kibo Nation Media Assassination episode 1677. This is No Agenda. Cutting through the fog of facts
Starting point is 00:00:16 and broadcasting live from the heart of the Czechoslovakia here in FEMA region number six. In the morning, everybody, I'm Adam Curry. Yeah, from Northern Silicon Valley, where we're all wondering what we're going to talk about today. I'm John C. Dvorak. It's Crackpotting Booking in the morning. Breaking, breaking!
Starting point is 00:00:35 Nobody knows anything. Alert, alert! Well, that was certainly a rhetoric reset. Man, oh man, oh man. Well, that was certainly a rhetoric reset. Man, oh man, oh man. I had a very interesting weekend. Saturday, the fiber goes out for most of the day and that does slow things down. And, or that Friday actually actually Friday and then Saturday remember
Starting point is 00:01:06 we had that whole conversation about ghosting my drives yes well both of them blew up the ghosted drive blew up too yep both of them oh see now I was laughing earlier but now I don't feel good no you shouldn't that's terrible when the ghost ah That's a nightmare. You sound a little different. Why do you sound different? Is this a different microphone? Oh, so it's your new gear. You're all geared up. Is it a different microphone perhaps?
Starting point is 00:01:34 No, I've got no changes. Oh, hold on a second. Let me... The EQ. It must be the EQ. I don't know what it is. This is very weird. You sound all bassy. All count bassy. Oh, count. Do I sound like count? Bacy? Yeah. Let me, let me turn this off. Maybe that'll help you sit. I take it out. You're being
Starting point is 00:01:56 bassy. Yeah. You sound very bassy. I'm taking out your big bottom anyway. No. Yeah. You don't need it. You don't need the big bottom. Well, uh, of course with the with shows like like today, there's all you know, it's like, I think we're probably both over clipped. I don't think so. I don't think I have that many clips. I think you probably do because you get there. You have your minions, your slaves providing you with extra clips. your minions, your slaves, providing you with extra clips. I think I actually did pretty well on my own.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Why don't you, I saw you had a, well, tell me where you want to start. Because obviously people are like, oh yeah, I can't wait for the show. So I have a lot of thoughts about what happened, but maybe you have a background just to get us started for prosperity sake, in the future when someone's listening to the show and says, what are they talking about? Okay, well let's start with the media shooting round. Now this is a guy called Stormin Norman,
Starting point is 00:02:53 who's a well-known TikToker, and I thought he wrapped up the media coverage pretty well. Today, several of the liberal outlets made the choice to display absolute degeneracy when covering Trump's attempted assassination in Pennsylvania. Now, not all of the left-leaning outlets did this. ABC News, CBS, NBC News, and others reported correctly, along with center independent and right-leaning sources, that Trump was shot and Secret Service removed him immediately.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Yet CNN and others decided to go in a different direction. CNN wrote, Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally. The indie star and other USA Today outlets said, Trump removed from stage by secret service after loud noises startles former president. The Washington Post wrote, Trump taken away after loud noises at rally. Very specific that. Politico decided to kick it up a notch by writing, photo of bloodied Trump fist bumping immediately spotlighted by his allies. Newsweek wrote an incredible headline that has since been deleted. MAGA responds with outrage after Donald Trump injured at Pennsylvania rally.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Yes, that's the story. Conservatives pounce on the former president's attempted assassination Now not to be outdone Colorado Democrat and state representative Steve would decided now was the right time to tweet The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil, but here we are It turns out that spending eight years calling a man Hitler and the devil has disgusting consequences And as usual the legacy media are complicit In eight years, calling a man Hitler and the devil has disgusting consequences. And as usual, the legacy media are complicit. Yeah, it's really interesting is everyone's kind of trying to search who to blame, what
Starting point is 00:04:34 to blame. And as always, there's this incessant who, what, why, where, why, we got to find out manifesto, where, where, blah, blah, blah, blah, setup, false flag. It's like everybody's just buzzing around. On Mastodon, that's what the whole thing is. It's a setup, it's a phony, it's a false flag. Yeah, there was definitely a lot of that. You know, I can tell you pretty confidently it was real.
Starting point is 00:05:05 How about this? You saw the picture of the bullet flying by? You know, I saw that picture, but I blew it up and I didn't see anything going anywhere. Well, my question is, is that really even possible to, I mean, I don't know. I know back in the day, if you wanted to catch a flying bullet, you had to have a super fast shutter speed.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I don't know how that works with digital cameras today. No, not as you mentioned it. No, there's no way. I think that's just bull crap. Yeah, I have my questions about it for sure. So where do you want to start? Who do we want to blame first? We can blame a lot of different people.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Well, I think we should start with, let's start at the top. Dan Bongino will have some very interesting show tomorrow on his radio show. Oh, I have a Dan Bongino clip actually. Yeah, why don't you start with that? Then I want to play an old clip from CBS that extols the virtue of the head of the Secret Service.
Starting point is 00:06:10 And I got to tell you, the Secret Service should be very careful. I can tell you an absolutely confirmed from the horse's mouth, from multiple people, not just one. And I saw Congressman Walz text this out before on X. There have been repeated requests to increase the security footprint around not just the residences of Donald Trump, but the body itself. And they have been rebuffed. Like I said, I can tell you actual quotes. The Secret Service
Starting point is 00:06:36 Director has completely failed and candidly should resign today. Kim Cheadle has failed Donald Trump and honestly failed Joe Biden too. He's the president right now. Where's the DHS secretary? I mean, this is, you're blaming it on manpower? Yes. You could blame it on woman power because here's the CBS report. This is... Oh yeah, and this just aired, didn't it?
Starting point is 00:07:01 Didn't this just air like a week ago or so? I think it's older than that. This is the head of Secret Service CBS. OK. To expand hiring, they're aiming to have 30% women recruits by 2030 and even allowed YouTube influencer Michelle Carey to train with Aegis. But I'm very conscious as as I sit in this chair now of making sure that we need to attract diverse candidates and ensure that we are developing and giving opportunities to everybody in our workforce
Starting point is 00:07:34 and particularly women. That workforce will be pivotal for the 2024 campaign season, which for the first time includes a former president who already has lifetime protection. Agents were there when Donald Trump was arraigned in New York. We were able to work out the details ahead of time of how that particular day was going to go but we will always ensure the safety of all of our protectees that we have. The service has a zero fail mission. Emission officers are training to uphold, pretending this field is the most famous address in America. This, um, this Cheeto lady, uh, she was assigned to Vice President Biden
Starting point is 00:08:16 during the Obama administration, which I didn't know. Well, I think in between then and now she was the head of, she was basically a glorified security guard at the PepsiCo. Yes. Yes, she was. She, let me see. I read that somewhere too.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Well, she, if you, I don't know if you saw this, well you probably did, but people should at least take a look when they shove Trump into the car at the end of the shooting. And they whisk him off. There's three women there. And they are fumbling and bumbling to be quite honest. They're fumbling and bumbling. They're small too. They're small women.
Starting point is 00:09:01 They talk about hiring more women. How about hiring some 320 pound, six foot six black dudes who like to do that kind of work because they were on a football team at one point. They like knocking heads. I didn't see one black face in the whole contingent of security at that. But I saw these three diminutive women that
Starting point is 00:09:25 were scrambling around and getting bumped into and they didn't couldn't hold their own ground I saw that but I didn't see any bruisers so the I'd rather have a be honest about I have a big bruiser black white I don't care what he is but there are black bodyguards that are the kind of guys you'd you'd trust and want the female the female anything about trust and want. The female. The female. She doesn't say anything about hiring more black dudes. You got to hang up about the black dudes.
Starting point is 00:09:51 The female agent who was part of the Human Shield with a ponytail, Tina saw her at Mar-a-Lago, when I remember she was there for some event, and then Trump walked in and she said that she was, to quote her, badass. She thought she was really impressive. So, and it's hard to, I mean I saw another Secret Service agent bumbling to get his weapon into his holster. I mean, you know, there's a lot going on, but ultimately they all jumped in the line of fire. So there's that.
Starting point is 00:10:26 We'll get to that in a minute. Here's the ABC, Stephanopoulos also interviewed Cheadle and asked her the, and this I think was pretty recent, asked her the most important question. And is the greater threat now homegrown terrorists or foreign terrorism? I think it's probably a little bit of both. I think we have to make sure that we are assessing the risk for both of those as well as any other type of threat that may come at us, whether it's a lone gunman, you know, or an organized attack or an organized group.
Starting point is 00:10:52 So we try to cover off on that. And how does the current divisions in the country, the extreme political polarization, how does that feed in to the threat environment? I think it plays into it. I think that the environment that we're dealing with today is certainly different than it was four years ago. I'm sure we'll see an evolution in the next four years as well,
Starting point is 00:11:11 but it is definitely something that we take into consideration. Are there any specific incredible threats out there right now? So there's nothing specific and nothing credible out there right now, but we are tracking all threat streams and we certainly work with our partners at the FBI
Starting point is 00:11:24 and other intelligence agencies that supply that information to us. All right, no credible threats. Nothing to worry about. Everything's good. Yeah, that was a useless interview to say the least. Well, it's just to get the threat part out there, but thanks. Well, let's do the threat part here. Let's play this super cut.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I got a couple of them here. This is the kind of the negative stuff that was going on. Let's start with the old super cut of threats. Most of these are from 2015, 2016, but they're, and later, and during the Trump administration, but they still, they're still valid. I just don't even know why there aren't uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be. People need to start taking to the streets. Look, they're still valid. and peaceful. Do something about your dad's immigration practices, you feckless f***er. They go low, we kick them.
Starting point is 00:12:26 How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized right, not to the right. I thought you should have punched him in the face. I said even if you lost, he insulted your wife. Yes. He came down the escalator and called Mexicans rapists and murders. He said, well what do you think I should have done?
Starting point is 00:12:43 I said I think you should have punched him in the face and then gotten out of the race. You would have been a hero. I'd like to punch him in the face. I said, if we were in high school I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him. Punch some people in the face! When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? They're still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump. And that's a fact.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Look as his character is stabbed to death. Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him? Check. That's it right there. I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House. A Missouri state senator is under investigation by the Secret Service after saying she hopes President Trump is assassinated. I will go and take Trump out tonight. And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant,
Starting point is 00:13:31 in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. Wow, that's good. Where did you get that from? It was floating around.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I think the I know it was the RNC who put that together, but it was one of them. And then we have from November 23rd, this November 23rd clip. This is from late last year on the Psockaki show, Dan Goldman saying the following. But his rhetoric is really getting dangerous, more and more dangerous. And we saw what happened on January 6th when he uses inflammatory rhetoric now and his recent True Social post is incredibly, incredibly scary for anyone that might be trying to work in government. And it is just unquestionable at this point that that man cannot see public office again. He is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be he has to be eliminated
Starting point is 00:14:46 man You know, I think throughout the past Couple of years at least we've always said that you know, this is not good And I think we even got a little desensitized to it. It just so used to it. You just so used to laughing it off Yeah, most of it by the, stems from MSNBC, Rachel Maddow, John Heilman's the guy in that previous clip who said he should put a bullet in Trump's head that he did that on MSNBC.
Starting point is 00:15:17 That's an MSNBC guy. I think the guy that's directly responsible for the shooting, if I was going to point the finger at anybody, I'd say it's Brian L. Roberts, the CEO of Comcast, who put that damn SMBC operation together. This guy is a bad actor. Yeah. There were a couple of prominent people who also, I mean, we'll go through a couple of these now just so we can get the lay of the land.
Starting point is 00:15:44 But one most recently is Leah Delaria. Are you familiar with Leah Delaria? No. She's an actress slash comedian. Let me see, somewhere I have her, I have her bio, but she's been in a number of shows and she did this. I think I decided not to clip it a couple, like two weeks ago. It was like, yeah, whatever, more of that.
Starting point is 00:16:10 But now it's more relevant than ever. And she's just looking into the camera with a very, very angry, angry face. Oh, this is that dyke. That's an accurate description. I'm done. I'm fucking seriously done. The Supreme Court has pissed me off so much right now. Like so much.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Joe, you're a reasonable man. You don't want to do this, but here's the reality. This is a fucking war. This is a war now and we are fighting for our fucking country and these assholes are gonna take it away. They're gonna take it away. Fuck you Clarence Uncle Thomas. Fuck you. Joe, you now have the right to take that bitch Trump out. Take him out Joe. If he was Hitler and this was 1940 you'd take him out. Well he is Hitler and this is 1940. Take him the fuck out. Blow him up. Blow him up or they'll blow us up. Oh, just beautiful. That's so nice. There was, there's a lot of those, but you know, what's
Starting point is 00:17:35 kind of interesting about this is that now comparing Trump to Hitler and Mussolini, that can no longer be done. I mean, that's going to get called out by everybody. Wouldn't you say? I have to agree. So I think- Here's another one of these in the same series and we might as well get these out of the way. This is Biden on Friday, seven seconds. Most importantly, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart,
Starting point is 00:18:03 Trump is a threat to this nation. Yeah. But from the bottom of my heart. Bottom of my heart, most importantly. There was another one. There was, was it Claire McCaskill? She used to be a senator. This is another MSNBC.
Starting point is 00:18:22 This is very typical, like a minute rant from someone on MSNBC. A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler and the use of the terminology like vermin and the drive that those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship. The difference, though, I think, makes Donald Trump even more dangerous. And that is, he has no philosophy he believes in.
Starting point is 00:18:50 He is not trying to expand the boundaries of the United States of America. He's not trying to overcome a neighboring country like Putin is in Ukraine. He is not going for some grandiose scheme of international dominance. All he wants is to look in the mirror and see a guy who's president. All he cares about is selfish self-promotion. That's the only
Starting point is 00:19:13 philosophy he has, which makes him even more dangerous because he has actually said out loud that it would be okay to terminate the Constitution to keep him in power. He said this. He actually said those words. And the irony is all of these supposed conservative folks that have populated the Republican Party all stood around and with their thumb in their mouth going, well, yeah, OK, I guess so. It's bizarre.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Again, I feel like it's it's bizarre You know Again, it's like I feel like in a way everybody's kind of failed because you know, it's like climate change, you know It's like oh ha ha ha climate change whatever stupid idiot don't believe in it. But all the week I have the desensitized Desensitization towards this type of rhetoric is of course a problem. And I have another example. Now this kind of sums up all the different lies that are just taken for truth by people because it's on MSNBC or we have some, I guess something that people find is factual and trustworthy, even though we know none of it is. And this, what this is,
Starting point is 00:20:38 she seems like she has grayish silver hair. I don't think she's probably in her forties. silver hair. I don't think she's probably in her 40s. She's on TikTok and I've seen her before. She actually has reasonable audio and has pretty good diction. So it was worth it. It's long, but we can stop at anywhere. But it's interesting how she just brings back all these things that are just factually not true and wraps them all up. Well, folks, I tried. I really did. I managed to squeeze out some genuine empathy for Orangina, and I thought I did a pretty good job. And then I made the mistake of looking at Elon's ex, and I remembered why the right is not compatible with empathy. And then I remembered Paul Pelosi getting hit over the head with a hammer and mocked by Schlumper and company. I remembered the image of bound, gagged and hog-tied Joe Biden that Schlumper tweeted to the world. I remembered the assassination threats against Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Starting point is 00:21:33 I find this interesting because she is making a summation of things that have been memed and have been, you know, that also everyone's desensitized to. No one's a real winner in this back and forth of who's worse, Trump or Biden or who do we need to get rid of. And how one in six election officials have experienced threats because of their job, ranging from death threats that named officials' young children to racist and gendered harassment by the right. I remembered MTG calling for the execution of Barack Obama.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Do you remember that? All the stuff that she's saying are just blatant lies. I don't remember that either. Paul Gossar posting an animated video depicting him unaliving AOC. I remembered the far-rights violence against minority communities in Charleston, Pittsburgh, El Paso, Buffalo, Jacksonville, etc., etc. Oh yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Oh yeah, it's the racists. Etc. I remembered Trump calling for people at his rallies to be harmed and how he wanted to shoot protesters in the legs. And of course, I remembered January 6 and how all our lawmakers' lives were in grave danger and our Capitol Police were pummeled and traumatized for Trump's adrenaline rush of vengeance for a country that kicked him to the curb. You can see where someone gets really wound up and spun up if they're consuming all this
Starting point is 00:22:58 and taking it in as fact and as scary. So she's kind of okay with what happened. I remembered E. Jean. Oh yeah. And dozens of women who faced violence at Trump's own hands. Thousands of women who faced violence at Trump's own hands. And then I caught wind of JD Vance. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:16 And all the wannabe up Trump's ass peanut gallery. By the way, can you stop for one second? You said this sound sucks. I know, I know. It's in and out of phase. I can barely understand what she's saying. One second. You said this sounds sucks. It's in and out of phase. I can barely understand what she's saying. I don't hear the enunciation you were bragging about. I was not bragging about it,
Starting point is 00:23:32 but this is actually better than most TikTok clips. But you're right. Anything else you want to complain about or you want to continue? No, I just wanted to let you know that your analysis was lacking authority. About two and a half seconds. Hey, don't worry.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I'll do the same to you later. ... seconds before Kremlin... I know. That time I was getting it in while I can. ... directly to President Trump's attempted assassination. And Representative Mike Collins going one step further, claiming Biden sent the orders. I remembered lock her up and knock the crap out of them, and good people on both sides. And when the looting starts, the shooting starts. And stand back and stand by. And I remember that between 2013 and 2022, 75% of murders committed
Starting point is 00:24:12 by extremists were caused by right-wing extremists. Oh, okay. Now we're getting a little off track. With only 4% caused by left-wing extremists. Of course, I don't advocate, celebrate, or condone violence. That's what the other side does. But I draw the line at feeling compassion for a man who we all know would be making a joke about the shooter having poor aim if this had happened to Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Which, by the way, was quite a thing. I mean, right away, and it was kind of on both sides, like, hey, you missed, and on the other, oh, I can't believe he missed I mean the this is a very very sick and troublesome culture We're in not gonna go down the road with all the conspiracy theorists Oh, no, not at all. I find it baffling that his security team is so incompetent and for the life of me I don't understand how a man who was just shot at was able to stick his head above this secret service human shield that was
Starting point is 00:25:03 huddled around him right after the shooting so he could fist pump the air and encourage his voters to fight. So that's kind of the, it was a set up by Trump meme. Oh yeah, set up. You know, these Democrats should look in the mirror. They shot Reagan, they shot and almost hit Gerald Ford. These are all Republicans are getting shot Reagan. They shot at and almost hit Gerald Ford. These are all Republicans are getting shot at. Steve Scalise and 12 other Republicans, there was an assassination attempt on them
Starting point is 00:25:32 and Scalise was almost killed. And now we have this. I don't, you know, this is just, you know, these gun-hating Democrats shooting at Republicans left and right needs to, do they need to look in the mirror? The folks who are supposed to be experts at protecting the president's noggin
Starting point is 00:25:48 would have been a little uncomfortable with giving the shooter a second chance at blowing it to smithereens. Folks, I think we all know what's in store for us. We're gonna see the biggest misuse of martyrdom there ever was. We're gonna see mediocre men marinating in victimhood, tossing out thinly veiled calls for retribution
Starting point is 00:26:05 and dog whistle after dog whistle for mega minions to avenge the radical left. Joe Biden will be painted as a cunning force of evil, at least when he can remember where he is and when to take his Alzheimer's meds. It's gonna be torture, absolute fricking torture. And instead of talking about the corroborated testimony of young girls who were allegedly violated at the hands of the depraved sociopath who happens to be the Republican nominee,
Starting point is 00:26:29 we're going to hear about a cult leader victim who bravely gave the tip of his ear to save racism everywhere. Yeah. Well, all I can say is I'm going to be sure to remember all the folks who feared for their safety because of Orangina, Purvelish, Stelonia, umper, McFeest, thin-skinned rhetoric over the years. And I'm going to remind the bad actors that malevolent men don't get to turn victimhood into victory. So that's what we're dealing with.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Um, this is cultural, this is spiritual. Uh, I really hope that people will tone it down on all sides of this. I really hope that people will tone it down on all sides of this. And actually, if I were consulting Trump, here's what I'd say. I'd say, you know, because of course the expectation is, you know, I'm a martyr. I don't even know if he's going to go that far. I would say first go to the family of those wounded and killed, and then I think he should go and he should visit the parents of the shooter. That's what he should do.
Starting point is 00:27:33 He may actually do that without your advice. He definitely will take care of the family that the guy got killed yeah I mean this so let's get into the I have a series of clips from friends 24 that I picked up this morning so they're kind of objective and kind of and I say kind of objective and kind of new including at one clip which I guarantee you never heard about. Okay. This is the Shot Analysis series, and there is, you can start with Shot Analysis, but first play this French 24 shoot rap crooks BS Shoot got it rap got it ABC is reporting that this rifle that the shooter had was legally purchased by the shooter's father
Starting point is 00:28:36 No knowledge yet of how he got into possession of the weapon all or from his father It must be said and the motive for the shooting also not uncovered by the FBI yet. They have discovered through state records that the 20 year old was a registered Republican. However, when he was 17, he made a $15 donation to a progressive political action committee on the day that Joe Biden was inaugurated into office.
Starting point is 00:29:00 So his political leaning is not really understood there. And the FBI is now investigating as to how this attempted assassination could have taken place and what the motives were. Wow they have more information than media here in the States I hadn't heard that. Yeah I know it's funny. It's unbelievable. Notice by the way very very little about the shooter. And of course, he has three names, always good. Yeah, the three name phenomenon is back. Thomas Matthew Crooks. Being called Thomas and Matthew is kind of interesting to me.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Why? Well, it's two of the apostles, Thomas and Matthew. I just probably. Got to wonder about his family. Well, you apostles, Thomas and Matthew. I just probably had- Got to wonder about his family. Well, you know, there you go. So let's go to shot analysis F24. And as you ask, how could this have happened? I mean, given the usually iron clad security
Starting point is 00:29:58 around these sorts of events. Well, someone who goes to these kinds of events somewhat regularly, it is kind of fascinating to me that something like this could have happened. Now, it is kind of fascinating to me that something like this could have happened. Now, it must be said the shooting took place from outside of the security cordon around the venue, so he hadn't managed to get this weapon inside the venue. But I think that also raises even more questions because that means that there was an unsecured
Starting point is 00:30:20 roof with a direct line of sight to the stage where the former president was talking within 150 meters of that stage. Now that is important because for reference, 150 meters is the distance that an army soldier needs to be able to shoot a human sized target at with an M16 rifle in order to pass their training. The AR-15 is the civilian version of that M16 rifle. So the fact that this roof was within that distance and not secured by the Secret Service
Starting point is 00:30:52 really is quite mesmerizing and has led a lot of people to believe that there was a lapse in security here. So there will be investigations. We know that the House Oversight Committee has asked the head of the Secret Service, invited them to come and talk to the panel to see how this could have happened. Yeah, that'll be some nice talking.
Starting point is 00:31:12 I will just be chatting with you. No? But that is the question on everybody's lips at the moment. How could something that seems so obvious have been overlooked. The counter snipers that were at the rally spotted this shooter and did neutralize the threat within three seconds of those shots being fired. So a quick response by the counter snipers, but questions as to how he got on that roof
Starting point is 00:31:38 with the gun in the first place still abound. So just from what we know now, it seems like that roof was an obvious problem. It seems like there was understaffing. There's all kinds of reporting that they had asked that the Secret Service had asked for more team members. They were denied. We'll find out I guess in the chat they're going to have in the house this morning and now this is from 4chan so take it for what it is there was a statement posted for one of the One of the one of Hawkeye that's the
Starting point is 00:32:21 the counter-attack team Now read it For what it's worth. My name is Jonathan Willis. I am the officer in the famous photo of the two snipers on the roof at Trump's rally. I came here to inform the public that I had the assassin in my sights for at least three minutes, but the head of the Secret Service refused to give the order to take out the perp. 100% the top brass prevented me from killing the assassin before he took the shots at President Trump. I didn't follow the orders though. As soon as the shooter opened on Trump, I returned fire despite strict orders to not engage. I had eyes on the shooter
Starting point is 00:32:54 for three minutes watching him fiddle with his rifle, adjust the scope. It was obvious he was a shooter, yet I was not allowed to engage. After I killed the shooter, I was arrested, questioned by the FBI and just released an hour ago. I already lost my job for not following orders, but I'm glad I took the shots anyway. I don't know if it's true, but interesting if, if something like that turns out. Well, this whole FBI operation in Pittsburgh, which is taking the lead on this is the same group that's that had Hunter Biden's laptop the whole time.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Oh, really? That's my understanding, because that's the group that would handle Delaware in that case. So this group in Pittsburgh, at least if you read enough of it about it, this could be bullshit too, but if you read enough about it, it seems as though this is a bunch of bad actors.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Well, here's what we know about the FBI and the six-week cycle, which we followed for well over a decade. The typical process, and I think a lot of the Department of Justice is like this, but the FBI specifically, what they love to do is find some weak brother online who's either talking, I'll walk bar, I'm going to go shoot everything, fatwa, or I'm going to shoot the president. And they like to hype him up and get them all jacked and then get them the phony detonator or something else and then take him out or arrest him.
Starting point is 00:34:21 And it's always a him. And then claim victory and look, we're so great, our budgets are justified. So it's very possible. And how many times, we've read this over and over, getting in the reports, special agent, undercover, special agent who acted undercover and had months long discussion.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Seems like pretty easy to do with a 20-year-old. Yeah, especially yes. Especially if you look at the guy. Although I do have the, well I want to skip to that, but let's go to the second part of this shot analysis. Right on, Washington correspondent Fraser Jison, thank you so much for that update. Well I'm also joined on set by our International Affairs Editor, Ketavan Gorgestani. You are also our former Washington correspondent. So you've seen the security measures that are taken firsthand. Can you bounce off what Fraser said and tell us a bit about your firsthand experience?
Starting point is 00:35:18 Yes. Well, as Fraser said, these are some very secure events. When you go to one of these rallies, whether it's for a sitting president or a presidential candidate, there are big layers of security. To make things simple, there are basically three rings of security around someone like Donald Trump. The initial very close range security perimeter, which is secured by the Secret Service agents that you see in that pictures, the men in the suits, the women
Starting point is 00:35:50 in the suits, they're around him. Then there's the second layer of security, that's the perimeter with the barriers that you need to be checked before you enter. And so when you're talking about a rally like this, it's the people who are going to that rally, the supporters, but also people like us, the media. We get screened, we go through metal detectors, our bags are open, they're sniffed by dogs. I mean, there is heavy, heavy security.
Starting point is 00:36:16 What we're talking about here, where the shooter was, is that third sort of perimeter of security. And if you talk to secret service agents, law enforcement agents, everyone will tell you that there is an advanced team with the campaign and the law enforcement that go to this area and decide where that stage is going to be. And then law enforcement, secret service,
Starting point is 00:36:39 need to secure everything around. And Fraser was talking about the fact that this roof had a direct line of sight to that podium and that is the question Yep Drones where the drones everyone's got a drone everyone's got a drone no drone No drone no drone. Let's must is move right to clip 3 and then we get to the No drone. No drone. Let's move right to clip three and then we get to the The weird clip. There's one question about how did someone get to that roof? How was that roof not secured even though there was a direct line of sight?
Starting point is 00:37:15 That could be a potentially a question for a Secret Service and for that advanced preparation the other question which several experts have been pointing to, is the potential lack of communication or wrong communication between local law enforcement and the Secret Service. When they first spotted, when people started spotting someone and something that was wrong on that roof, why was that not communicated faster and why did they not take immediate action or more immediate action than was taken. So still a lot of question as Fraser said about how we got there and then how that communication
Starting point is 00:37:54 between the different law enforcement agencies maybe broke down. So that brings us of course to the witnesses that saw the guy up there and kept trying to draw attention to him. There's two of those. I have the BBC sequence which appeared pretty quickly and first it appeared, you know, someone had videoed it off the BBC in direct sound. I'm going to actually redeem myself for the sound earlier. Oh, it's good.
Starting point is 00:38:25 You know, I have two copies. I got that early one that you must have fixed. Yeah, well, listen. But there was a later one that came out that was clean. Yeah, and this is the full, it's in, I have it cut up in a couple of different clips. This is worth listening to. This is the BBC's On the Ground.
Starting point is 00:38:46 And they had a guy. It was kind of funny. The BBC, clearly some guy was like, hey, you go follow Trump. It's like the punishment bench over at BBC. Oh, no, I got to go. All right, I'll go follow the campaign. I'll go to the rallies. And this guy fell, as we say, I'll go follow the campaign. I'll go, I'll go to the rallies. And this guy fell as we say, with his nose in the butter. Donald Trump was at a US election rally in Pennsylvania when gunfire was heard from the crowd and the former president was bundled off the stage by security officials. He raised a fist to his supporters before being taken away in a car. What appeared to be blood was seen on Mr.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Trump's ear. He was criticizing President Biden when the incident happened. Wow. Talking about immigration had a big chart up on the screen. But by the way, I found the BBC, France 24, their reporting was superior to our own reporting.
Starting point is 00:39:41 It was amazing. Oh yeah. It was amazing. Worst president in the history of our country took over and look what happened to our own reporting. It was amazing. It was amazing. Worst president in the history of our country took over. And look what happened to our country. Probably 20 million people. And you know, that's a little bit old, that chart. That chart's a couple of months old.
Starting point is 00:39:57 And if you want to really see something this sad, take a look at what happened. Our correspondent, Gary O'Don down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down from higher up possibly? Behind the fences. Yeah, okay. And what was the atmosphere like in the crowd at that moment when it started? Panic. Did people start running? Yeah. Right. They were running and tripping over each other and yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:34 And do you know, did the police move in pretty quickly? From what I saw, yeah. There were police officers in the field, like right beyond the fence and they took off immediately. Now let's jack up the rhetoric a little bit here BBC. It was about 10 minutes into Donald Trump's speech and he was talking about immigration and and then we heard we were actually live on air at the time and we we were talking to our colleagues at the BBC World Service and we heard the shots. I heard maybe six or eight it sounds like from that film you've just played there may have been more
Starting point is 00:41:06 But certainly six or eight in rapid succession We we hit the dirt we hit the deck because we had no idea where the was coming from we We is a big word. It was him this His picture of him in the literally buried in the dirt and now since then people have been streaming out of the event that the former president was taken away quickly surrounded by the Secret Service and taken away immediately. Reports of some blood on his ear, possibly him holding his ear. We don't know the detail. One eyewitness I've just spoken to who says he was 50 feet from the former president. He said when the shooting started, a speaker fell.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I know it's not clear whether that was on stage or fell into the crowd. He said he saw one person being put into an ambulance. He said there was panic. People hit the dirt. People started screaming. Another eyewitness I spoke to said there'd been a lot of panic in the crowd,
Starting point is 00:42:03 as you can imagine. I have to say the emotions are extraordinary here. Um, I'm going to, I'm going to say something now, which will be shocking. Here we go. But I think it's worth knowing. So please prepare yourself for this. Just a moment ago, a guy walked past and said they fired first. This is war.
Starting point is 00:42:21 That's too bad. He wasn't recording that at the time. Oh yeah. And so here comes the, the, the redhead who everybody probably saw. We had a party here all day at the Brinkels Farming Greenhouse here and we all decided, hey, you know, when we hear Trump up there, we're going to walk up through the field, stand by the trees up there under the shade and listen to the rally. We couldn't see him, but we could hear them.
Starting point is 00:42:50 So we walked up and probably five to seven minutes of Trump speaking. I'm estimating here. I have no idea. You know, but, um, we noticed the guy crawling army, you know, bear crawling up the roof of the building beside us 50, 50 feet away from us. So we're standing there and you know, we're pointing, we're pointing at the guy crawling up the roof of the building beside us, 50 feet away from us. So we're standing there, you know, we're pointing, we're pointing at the guy crawling up the roof. And he had a gun, right? He had a rifle.
Starting point is 00:43:12 We could clearly see him with a rifle, absolutely. We're pointing at him. The police are down there running around on the ground. We're like, hey man, there's a guy on the roof with a rifle. And the police were like, huh, what? You know, like, they didn't know what was going on. You know, we're like, hey right here on the roof We can see him from right here. We see him. You know, he's he's crawling and
Starting point is 00:43:34 Next thing, you know, I'm like I'm thinking to myself. I'm like why is Trump still speaking? Why have they not pulled him off the stage? I'm standing there pointing at him for you know, two three minutes Secret service is looking at us from the top of the barn. I'm pointing at that roof, just standing there like this. And next thing you know, five shots going out. So you're certain that the shots came from that guy on the roof? 100%. 100%.
Starting point is 00:44:00 So that, I think, is what most people saw, but the interview definitely went longer. We had a party here all day. Oops, sorry, this one. It was about 10 minutes into Donald Trump's speech and he was talking about immigration. And then we heard, we were actually live on air at the time and we were talking to our colleagues at the BBC World Service and we heard the shots. You played this already. How did that work?
Starting point is 00:44:21 Let me try this. And he was up there for a couple of minutes. There we go. Thank you. He was up there. And he was up there for a couple of minutes. He was up there for a couple of minutes. Absolutely. At least three or four minutes. And you were telling the police in the secret service. We were telling the police we were pointing at him for the secret service who were looking at us from the top of the barn.
Starting point is 00:44:35 They were looking at us the whole time. We were standing by that tree. Could they see? Binoculars. Could they see him? Probably not because the roof the way the slope went he was behind where they could see But but why is there not secret service on all of these roofs here? I mean, this is not a big place Did you see I mean obviously everyone when the shooting started everyone was very panicked
Starting point is 00:44:56 You're pretty sure they they shot the guy absolutely 100% okay. Yep. You saw that happen. Yep. Yep. Yep Okay, yep, and did you see them go up to him afterwards or? They, yeah, they crawled up on the roof. They had their guns pointed at him, make sure he was dead. He was dead. And that was it. And then the-
Starting point is 00:45:13 Oh, that's been edited. Well, yes. Here's the piece that was cut out. Did you see, I mean, obviously everyone, when the shooting started, everyone was very panicked. Did you see what happened to him at all? Oh yeah, they blew his head off. Okay, sorry. Secret Service blew his head off. Okay, just be careful because we don't know quite who's watching, but you're pretty sure
Starting point is 00:45:31 they shot the guy. I was watching as people were interested in what really happened. I'm sorry. Absolutely. 100%. Okay. You saw that. Well, heaven forbid you leave the guy's comments in there. There was a second witness. Wait, I want to finish this. Oh, there's more? Yeah. It happened? Yep. Yep. Okay was a second witness. Wait, I want to finish this. Oh, there's more? Yeah. It happened? Yep. Yep. Okay. Yep. And did you see them go to him afterwards or? Yeah, they crawled
Starting point is 00:45:52 up on the roof. They had their guns pointed at him, make sure he was dead. He was dead. And that was it. It was over. That's incredibly shocking. The guy was on the roof right there. You can see the white roof right there. Did you get a look at him? Could you? No, other than he was in muted colors, tan, tight clothing. We saw the rifle flinging around as he was trying to crawl. I mean, we saw the rifle, 100%. I mean, do you know about guns? Do you know what kind of weapon it was?
Starting point is 00:46:19 Oh, I absolutely know about guns, for sure. No, I mean, it was a rifle of some sort. I wouldn't know, you know, I wasn't close enough to read the label on it. I'm not sure, but a high velocity weapon mean it was a rifle of some sort. I wouldn't know, you know, I wasn't close enough to read the label on it. I'm not sure, but a high velocity weapon. It was a rifle of some sort. Yeah, absolutely. So what do you, how do you process what you've just seen?
Starting point is 00:46:36 I don't know what to say, man. I'll tell you is, you know, if I walked up close to there with anything that Secret Service considered a problem, I wouldn't be standing here talking to you right now. But I don't know why a guy who we're standing there pointing out to police and Secret Service is crawling up the roof. All right.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Yeah, that could have been tighter by the correspondent. Then they go back and they cut out one thing and the whole thing is loose as a goose It's very poorly done by the BBC. Well Surprise surprise BBC So this is another witness Which showed up on this one showed up on CBS and This is the this is shooting second witness to see shooter, poorly worded clip name. I don't know if you heard this, probably not. It showed up on the live feed and then disappeared.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I am told that our CBS colleague from KDKA, Jennifer Barrasso, is on the line right now. She is outside the scene of the rally Jennifer hi there. So I have a witness right now He had just showed up at the Trump rally just a short time before it started and he actually Tells me that he saw the shooter on the building and his name is Benjamin Mase or thank you so much for staying around Just take me back What were you doing before the shooting happened? And then what did you see in here? I was just hanging and standing there like everybody else waiting for Trump and We as Trump started we I noticed two officers that were looking for something or somebody I was so I was looking around myself and seeing a guy on top of one of the buildings go in between one building to the next.
Starting point is 00:48:31 And I went and told the officer that he was up there. And when I went back to my spot I heard that people could still see the person from where they were standing. So I checked that out and I went back to tell the officer that if he came over there he could see them. When I turned my back, when the shots started, and then it took me a second or two to figure out exactly what it was, and then it was just getting out of there and helping some other person out with her child. And we got out and that was the end of that. I went and left and that was all. So this wasn't like a big secret. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:49:21 Well, I mean, people saw this guy. Oh, yeah. We have two witnesses so far. Oh yeah. You have to assume there's others and nobody did anything. And then of course, there's that sketchy report from 4chan, which I didn't know about, which is, sounds credible, unfortunately. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:37 I mean, we're so early. I mean, it didn't, usually these things happen on a show day so we can do nothing and then we have a couple days. Yes, I know. I was talking to Mimi about that. And now it's like we really need an extra day because we don't know anything about the shooter. There's a couple of graduation videos, some weird video in his car. He's in a black rock commercial. Which immediately was like, oh, was he an actor?
Starting point is 00:50:04 There's so much unknown. commercial, which immediately was like, oh, was he an actor? You know, there's so much unknown. But I think as long as we can all, first of all, sadly, this didn't end well for some people in the crowd. You know, that's the thing we've got to remember here. But right now, this is a very, very crap time for America. I don't like it. Well, this woman who's running the Secret Service should have resigned immediately after
Starting point is 00:50:33 that death of the bystander and then the wounding of the president. I don't understand why she just immediately, which is what Bongino and others have been asking for. He's not the only one. This is one of those things where you have to, you're responsible. You're the head of the operation. I put in place, of course, as a DEI hire by Majorca, but did you get in there? You have, you just have to quit. I mean, it's just what you do. I agree. I agree.
Starting point is 00:51:01 She should have resigned immediately and she's not going to resign, I can assure you, and she's going to get into an argument with Congress, and she's going to stick around, and it's going to be one of those situations where you have incompetent people running things even though she sounds like, you know, not unusual for a bureaucrat. But she should resign, and then somebody has to investigate what was wrong. Why didn't, because I, you know, they show, supposedly she brought this guy down within three seconds of him taking shots, which adds some credibility to that 4chan note. Yeah. Well, I mean, we saw the video. We see the guy, you see him looking up.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Yeah. But when he says the head of the Secret Service wouldn't let me take the shot, who is that? Is that someone who's in charge on the scene or is he calling back to HQ? No, there's gotta be somebody on the scene. There's gotta be one supervisor that would say yes or no. You wouldn't call to Washington DC for that situation. That's for sure.
Starting point is 00:52:03 It would take forever. Who's going to answer to get an answering machine? Jill. You wouldn't call it Washington, D.C. for that situation. That's for sure. It would take two ever. Who's gonna answer to get an answering machine? Jill. Jill, Jill answer. Jill. So it would be, so there is something fishy about the whole thing. And I would fall back on, look,
Starting point is 00:52:20 we're dealing with the Biden crime family, which is what it's always been called in an assassination attempt on Trump after trying to throw him in jail through four different jurisdictions and 90 indictments. It wouldn't surprise me if the, if I know it sounds like a completely insane that anyone would be this way, but I'm throwing the whole thing at the White House. Oh, I put it all on Biden. Absolutely, absolutely. And the coincidence of this happening
Starting point is 00:52:59 right after two mega gaffes in the big boy press conference by Biden is not lost on me. Let's just revisit quickly. And now I want to hand it over to the president of Ukraine who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin. President Putin. He's going to beat President Putin.
Starting point is 00:53:23 President Zelensky. I'm so focused on beating Putin, we got to worry about it. Anyway, gonna beat President Putin. President Zelensky. I'm so focused on beating Putin, we gotta worry about it. Anyway, Mr. President. I'm better. You are a hell of a lot better. So that was one and then of course the other big one. In his first press conference of the year, President Joe Biden fielded nearly an hour of questions, highlighting his policies and political future.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Best way to assure them is the way I assure myself. And that is, am I getting the job done? The president first pressed on whether Vice President Kamala Harris could beat former President Trump in November. Look, I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president till I think she's not qualified to be president. So let's start there. Number one.
Starting point is 00:54:05 Trump weighed in live with a post on social media reading, quote, great job, Joe. Biden ignored the actual question about how the VP would fare against Trump, only stressing that she's qualified to be president and offering praise. She was a first rate person and in the Senate she was really good.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I wouldn't have picked her unless I thought she was qualified to be president. Well, there was, and that, I mean, that was definitely news. I mean, everybody, all the news channels like, oh no, oh, he couldn't do it, he could, you know, I mean, I have a ton of clips, we don't have to go there right now. No, the whole thing was a disaster.
Starting point is 00:54:40 But to have this happen right after those mega-gaps and what was supposed to be, we heard the big boy the big boy conference Is not lost on me So that there's just no coincidences. I just don't believe in him We have a second clip of that second shooting witness you want to play that 22 seconds Yeah, then I want to get back to the the French 24 which has the new information which that you're never gonna hear in the mainstream media yeah play the second
Starting point is 00:55:12 half it's not much to it. So this man was able to basically climb to the next building and you told law enforcement hey there's a guy over there. Correct I don't know how he got up there I don't know any of that but I definitely saw And you told law enforcement, hey, there's a guy over there. Correct. I don't know how he got up there. I don't know any of that, but I definitely saw him up there and the officer. And that was all I know. All right. So the final clip on the French 24 series, and this you will not, for good reason probably, this will never be explored
Starting point is 00:55:48 on the mainstream because it was, I was taken aback by it, but it doesn't surprise me. This is the shot analysis with an E at the end of shot. This is the last clip. There were others like Tim Scott who also said that the inflammatory rhetoric by Democrats and their allies in the media recklessly stoked fear and resulted in what happened. And I mentioned this part about the media because at that rally, after Donald Trump was taken off of that stage, the crowd, part of the crowd immediately turned to the press risers to the media and started accusing the media saying,
Starting point is 00:56:26 it's your fault, and some even tried to break through the press risers and push back by security. So the likelihood that this could get out of hand in the coming months is possible. The question is, where is this going? Are people going to sort of try to tamp things down, or are we going to see more possible acts of violence down the road towards November?
Starting point is 00:56:48 Well, interesting you bring that up because Sky News in Australia had a similar take. Speaking of Trump's reaction in the moments after he was shot, and as you said, you know, he got to his feet, he raised his fist, he said, fight, fight, fight. I don't know if you saw, but CNN actually criticized his reaction, saying that was entirely the wrong thing to do and all it did was to incite his supporters. He should instead have tried to calm things down. I mean, how do you respond to CNN with those sorts of comments, even in the moments after Trump was shot. I got to say, President company excluded James and Danica.
Starting point is 00:57:29 We don't hate the media enough, certainly in America, however much we hate the media. We do not hate them enough. There has been so much of that already. Both sides of this, you know, the reaction from mainstream media, from CNN, from MSNBC, the headlines, which are trying to both sides, an attempted assassination of Donald Trump, because they cannot bear to allow their audiences to know that he has become a martyr thanks to them. It's really, really horrifying. And I would expect for more and more of this to come out.
Starting point is 00:58:05 There were so many headlines that refuse to even call it an assassination attempt. As you guys were pointing out 10 minutes ago, mostly peaceful assassination attempt. There's going to be a lot more of this. The media always in moments like this ends up with egg on its face because it is so deeply partisan in America at this point in favor of the Democrats. A fine example of that is CBS anchor, Margaret Brennan's initial response to the shooting. And he closes with God bless America.
Starting point is 00:58:36 And we saw him raise his hand in the air defiantly, blood on his face as he left the stage. He is recovering from these injuries now. This was a traumatic event, no doubt, for him. But I did notice there was no call for lowering the temperature, condemning all political violence and really trying to signal to his supporters as well not to retaliate or to have any kind of escalation here. I just am looking at these statements.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Well, there's a belief in his inner circle that he's under siege after being attacked at his rally. And so there's a lot of every text message I'm getting. And some people will exactly digest it like you're saying. I mean, every single text message, literally every single one from Trump sources is outraged and shocked. And so that is certainly the mood inside the highest ranks of the Republican party speaking to CBS News tonight. I'm just thinking, I mean, pray for President Biden, because what a great opportunity for this to be cleared up, to get him out.
Starting point is 00:59:38 Oh, deranged Trump supporter retaliation. Sorry, Joe. I wouldn't put it past, I wouldn't put it past. I wouldn't put it past the elites of the world. Yeah. Well, it's possible, but I just don't see it happening because it's always the Republicans who are the targets. And, um, and they're the ones that are, you know, having bullets aimed at them.
Starting point is 01:00:01 I, the Democrats, it doesn't happen. Well, let's hope it doesn't happen to anybody. I want to play a couple of clips from Jake Tapper because he's, for some reason he's moved to the forefront, ever since he started doing the deconstruction of Biden. Oh, he's moved to the forefront because he's on the council of foreign relations and this is his new job. There you go.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Let's listen to him on his state of the union. What more do you want to know about the shooter? There's very little we know about him right now. He's 20. He's from Western Pennsylvania. He's a registered Republican. He gave money for the small amount. No, no, no, hold on a second.
Starting point is 01:00:38 Listen to the this. This is the narrative now, which I find, I find absolutely fascinating. I'm having all kinds of issues here with my system. Hold on a second, why can I not do this? Anyway. Democratic, get out the vote group, a Democratic-aligned group of some sort. What more, as an intelligence professional, do you want to know about him?
Starting point is 01:01:03 So, moving into the age of political violence. Last night, as you all know, horrifically, a shooter opened fire and tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally. This was the closest call in terms of a major assassination attempt on a US leader on that level in more than 40 years since Ronald Reagan in 1981, we do not yet know the specific motivations behind this would be assassin sick and twisted, though they assuredly are.
Starting point is 01:01:33 But sadly, this is not the first time. We've seen this kind of repugnant and un-American violence. In 2011, then Democratic Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was shot in the head and nearly killed by a gunman at a constituent event. Other innocent people were killed. A 2017 shooting at a Republican's congressional baseball practice left Congressman Steve Scalise
Starting point is 01:01:54 in critical condition. Then of course there was the Unite the Right white supremacist rally in Charlottesville that year. In 2020, violence exploded in protests after George Floyd's horrific murder. Then on January 6, 2021, an attack on the U.S. Capitol and that aftermath which left multiple Trump supporters and Capitol police officers dead. An individual who left pipe bombs outside the Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee buildings, that individual still not been identified.
Starting point is 01:02:23 In 2022, former Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul was attacked with a hammer in his own home by an intruder searching for the former speaker. Another man with a gun, a knife, and a zip ties was arrested outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to say nothing of lesser attempts. Cesar Sayoc, who sent pipe bombs to Democrats and members of the news media, including CNN in 2018. And then Jake turns on the waterworks. Last year, the US Department of Homeland Security
Starting point is 01:02:53 warned of a high threat of violence from radicalized individuals, lone offenders or small group attacks that occur with little warning and said that the 2024 election cycle will be, quote, a key event for possible violence unquote. The assessment warned of violence against quote, government officials, voters and elections related personnel and infrastructure, including polling places,
Starting point is 01:03:16 ballot dropbox locations, voter registration sites, campaign events, political party offices and vote counting sites." There is something troubling the American soul right now. It's you, Tapper. Too many Americans see those with whom they disagree as the enemy to be shunned, to be banned, to be ostracized, to be threatened with violence, or even to have that violence carried out. As with so many prior acts of violence, we right now see too many awful responses out there to this hideous attack on former President Trump, responses that are part of this trend.
Starting point is 01:03:57 That includes those who without evidence are blaming this act of violence on those with whom they have disagreements. We are praying for former President Trump's recovery today and praying for his family and for those victims of the attack. And we urge in the strongest possible terms that this election and all our political differences must be determined by ballots and votes, not by bullets, and that this rhetoric of dehumanization stop. Political violence has no place in America. I wish that were true. It's our history.
Starting point is 01:04:35 It's almost our culture. Are you kidding me? Wait, the way he put that, it sounds like he wants... Play that last little line again and deconstruct it. Okay, hold on. We are praying for former president Trump's recovery today and praying for his family and for those victims of the attack. And we urge in the strongest possible terms
Starting point is 01:04:59 that this election and all our political differences must be determined by ballots and votes, not by bullets, and that this rhetoric of dehumanization stop. Political violence has no place in America. I wish that were true. Yeah, he's blaming Trump. He's blaming Trump. Oh, this demonization you're doing of other people, that's driving people to shoot at you.
Starting point is 01:05:27 That's what I hear. Did you hear something different? Political violence has no place in America. I wish that it was true. Yeah. America I wish that it was true Yeah Because what he wishes it was true that political violence had a place in America, I don't know that's the way I heard I Think it would be great if we could all come together and hate the media
Starting point is 01:06:04 I think it would be great if we could all come together and hate the media. Where's the pulling the plug on the transmitters? They don't have transmitters anymore. Cutting the fiber. Transmitters? Transmitters? Yeah. We need to have that. Pull the plug on those people.
Starting point is 01:06:18 It's the Joy Reid. Yeah. Oh, another fine specimen. Matt Au. The head of Comcast, CEO Comcast Roberts. These are bad people. There was a very interesting, you know, what they are is they're, they're provocateurs. Yes.
Starting point is 01:06:43 Well, yes, it's not news. It's yeah, provocateurs is a good one But we're all we're all in on it. We're all sharing the videos. We're all memeing about it We're all this, you know, we're seeing the result of our own actions And you know throw some SSRIs in there I'd love to have an analysis about that that guy looks like he might have been on something. You know what I mean? That's the last thing they're ever going to discuss as long as they have allow advertising the Pharmaceutical companies to do advertising So this is like this is one of the main things that has to go
Starting point is 01:07:17 So it was a video that was sent to me several times by multiple people. It's posted all over Twitter April 8th, I guess about three months ago, the prophet Brandon Briggs made a bold statement while he was being interviewed. He has his own YouTube channel and he's clearly a follower of Jesus. But what he said here was quite interesting. And I'm pretty sure this was indeed three months ago, because this could have been just said it was three months ago. But from all the checking I did, he said this in April. Because the Lord told me, he said, I am not done with America. He said, there's going to be a new wave of patriotism coming out. And that's when I saw Trump and I saw a red wave
Starting point is 01:08:06 coming out of Michigan. And then I saw Oklahoma and there was embers of people and they were all on these, they had torches all throughout Oklahoma and they were raising up these torches that looked like fire and they were bringing forth a new patriotism upon the nation. And it was coming, it was being birthed and it just kept spreading like fire all throughout
Starting point is 01:08:27 America, all throughout. And I saw Trump rising up and then I saw an attempt on his life. This bullet flew by his ear and it came so close to his head that it busted his eardrum. And I saw he was, he fell to his knees during this timeframe and he started worshiping the Lord. He got radically born again during this timeframe. I'm talking, people say he's saved now, but he becomes really on fire for Jesus
Starting point is 01:08:57 for what I saw coming. And then I saw people interceding when he, and I see him, I saw him winning the presidency through great, the Lord showed me it would go clear into the summer, great persecution would come on him through the judges and through the law and all these people trying to sue him and all this stuff, but there would be a stop to it. And there things would start to break free,
Starting point is 01:09:21 come toward the fall. And then I saw him winning the election through the patriots coming out and voting. And then there will be a great economy crash. I saw they had a great economy plan, a crash. There you go. The prophet speaks. Well, you know, guys having religious visions, you know, which is something of a violation of certain precepts.
Starting point is 01:09:46 And then going on and on like this is just another whack job is the way I see it. Yeah, I know the way you see it. I just thought it was interesting. And there's plenty of those guys out there. The detail of his ear was quite interesting. Well, I didn't blow his eardrum out so he got that wrong. Yeah. But did you see that it looked like Trump had a hole in his jacket? Somebody pointed that out, yeah. I saw the pictures, but...
Starting point is 01:10:20 I was reading about... It's possible. you know, he might be wearing a bulletproof vest Yeah, but if he got hit you you that that would set you back I don't think he got hit by it generally But not if it's small caliber. I don't know but it I was reading about George Washington, it was fighting the Indians and The story goes, General George Washington, that he was hit four times by the Indians firing rifles at him,
Starting point is 01:10:51 and they just went through his coat, didn't hit him, two horses got taken out underneath him, and even two Indian, you know, like chiefs said, oh, we can't hit this guy. He's got the great spirit watching over him. It just reminded me of it.
Starting point is 01:11:09 Like, wow, what an incredible, incredible moment that he just turns his head, bullet grazes his ear. If something went through his coat, like, unbelievable. And quite. Yeah, I don't think the whole of this, I don't think that's, no, it would have been reported. Oh, please. Nothing's unbelievable. And quite- Yeah, I don't think the, I think the whole, I don't think that's, no. It would have been reported. Oh, please. Nothing's reported.
Starting point is 01:11:30 Breaking! We know nothing! We saw the ear, it was reporting. We still know nothing. We know absolutely nothing. It's a sad state. And we don't know anything about this, about the shooter. All we have is, um,
Starting point is 01:11:46 Well, we have this, we have this. I have it. The nine second clip of him in the car. The guy. Yeah. Yeah. My name is Thomas Matthew Crooks. I hate Republicans.
Starting point is 01:11:56 I hate Trump. And guess what? You got the wrong guy. Now that is puzzling. You got the wrong guy. What does is puzzling. You got the wrong guy. What does it mean? What does it mean? Well he looks a lot more like the guy
Starting point is 01:12:09 than the dead guy does. I mean Thomas Matthew Crook, if you see pictures of him when he was in high school, they have pictures floating around of him. He's a goofy looking guy. He looks like an incel. That's definitely the case. And even when he's in that TV commercial,
Starting point is 01:12:25 you can see what a goofy looking guy he is. And then they have the dead guy, and the picture of the dead guy doesn't look at the same at all. He's not a dirty blonde, he's kind of a brown haired guy. It doesn't look anything like him. And then I'm questioning whether this is the right guy and what the hell's going on.
Starting point is 01:12:44 I mean, I don't believe this guy. This guy is just a troll that looks a little like him, but I think. Again, we don't know anything. You brought it up that we don't know. I don't know who this guy really is. A lot of 33s on this particular date. Yes, you might as well read the list. There we go. Pennsylvania, 33rd state. It happened three months, three weeks, and three days before the list. There we go. Pennsylvania, 33rd state. It happened three months, three weeks and three days before the election. The date was 13-7 and 137 is the 33rd prime number. Whatever. 333 days after Bo Biden died. 33 weeks and three days after the JFK anniversary.
Starting point is 01:13:22 I guess you can find threes anywhere. Three years and 333 days after Robert Trump's death, brother, and there's a number of these. I kind of like the 33rd state. I like the 3333 days after Bo Biden died. I mean, it's like almost kind of Masonic numbers. Did you research any of this to make sure it's accurate? Of course not. I mean, it's like, almost kind of Masonic numbers. Did you research any of this to make sure it's accurate? Of course not.
Starting point is 01:13:47 I got other things. Why bother? I'm rebuilding my studio. I got no time for that. Let's see what was happening before this went down because again, the coincidence of this happening
Starting point is 01:13:58 when President Biden was very much on the ropes is just astounding. Today, behind closed doors, Senate Democrats listened for more than two hours as top Biden campaign officials made their case for why the president could still win in November and should stay in the race. What's on everybody's mind,
Starting point is 01:14:15 is there a clear path to victory here? And can we honestly say that we're on a path to defeating Donald Trump and holding onto the Senate and holding onto the House of Representatives? One senator describing the meeting as tense at times. We're told a number of lawmakers complained to the Biden team that they were being put in difficult, impossible and untenable positions, having to defend the president's disastrous debate performance to their constituents back home. One senator telling ABC News, I needed to see hard data that showed a path to success in November, and we did not get that. Two hours later, the meeting breaking up, the president's aides leaving, senators filtering out.
Starting point is 01:14:57 Some of my concerns are laid. Some others have been deepened. Peter Welch of Vermont is the only senator to openly call for the president to drop out, writing in The Washington Post, we have asked President Biden to do so much for so many for so long. It has required unmatched selflessness and courage. We need him to put us first as he has done before. I asked him if today's meeting changed his mind. I have not changed my mind, but I really appreciate the White House coming over. West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin hinting the situation will come to a head this weekend.
Starting point is 01:15:29 I think everyone will be talking over Friday, Saturday, and by Sunday you should have some idea of what's going on. Oh, that's kind of handy that they're all going to have the meetings this weekend and then all of a sudden something changes. As President Biden tries to regain his footing with Democrats on Capitol Hill. We just want to make sure that Donald Trump is not president. The ground is getting more slippery. You think a single press conference can change things? Heavies no. The mere fact that we're sitting here having a conversation about whether or not our candidate for president can get through a press conference on NATO by the way and we're having to talk about, hmm, hope he gets through it. That's not what you want.
Starting point is 01:16:08 Several more House Democrats today publicly urged the president to withdraw as the top Democrat in the House acknowledged he's getting an earful. Do they confer with you? Try to get your blessing, notify you in advance. You can imagine there have been a lot of conversations and those conversations are private. This afternoon, three Biden campaign officials met privately with Senate Democrats, trying to prevent bleeding support.
Starting point is 01:16:30 Can we honestly say that we're on the path to defeating Donald Trump? But they've already lost one. Vermont's Peter Welch was the first to say the president should bail on reelection. Why was this the time, sir? Who knows when the right time is? The president's most vocal supporters in Congress include members of the Congressional Black Caucus, but the Nevada Democrat who chairs the group says the Biden campaign still
Starting point is 01:16:52 needs to prove itself. The need to make change, structural change in the campaign, change around strategy change around how we make investments and spending to do what? To win in November. So that was all going on, all kinds of horrible, horrible news for President Biden. And now it turns out that, you know, George Clooney wrote his op-ed. Is Clooney a CFR member? If not, he should be.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Yes, he is. Of course he is. And before you continue, Pennsylvania was the second state, obviously, because Philadelphia is a foundational city, admitted to the union. Second, not the 33rd. Well, that's just fake news then. The whole thing is, the whole list, I'm sure, is bull crap.
Starting point is 01:17:43 I'm sure it is. That's why I didn't even go to look at it. But here, back to Clooney. It seems like Clooney set this all up and submarineed good old Joe. So it was personally an affront to him and a hurt to him to have Clooney speak out against him. I think one of the things that's in the reporting also
Starting point is 01:18:01 is that part of what seems to have gone wrong here is that fundraiser in Los Angeles, and then maybe the jet lag that grew off of it. The only reason why they flew Biden from Italy across all the way to Los Angeles overnight to that was because George Clooney, who they wanted to do the event, said that was the only day available
Starting point is 01:18:19 in his shooting schedule. So there is a frustration then that comes out that then Clooney is the one who took the shot at Biden. And like there are a lot of layers to what's going on here. George Clooney is a spy and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Yeah, which is weird if you ask me. But it's fact. So he, you know, the counterargument is, well, Clooney was only there for a few minutes and he had the, then he left and Biden stuck around, which is not necessarily accurate or it's kind of a leading, leaving out the information, which is that Clooney had to get back to his set.
Starting point is 01:19:00 So he was there for a while and then he went back to filming. It was for a shooting schedule, of course Yeah, what's more important? Who becomes president or my movie? We all know what's important. Here's NBC Again before the Trump shooting tonight the list of Democrats calling on President Biden to end his campaign for reelection is growing Ultimately, the president's gonna have to make his campaign for reelection is growing. Ultimately the president's going to have to make his own decision. The first senator Peter Welsh of Vermont joining a list of more than a dozen House Democrats publicly asking Biden to do the same including Earl Blumenauer from Oregon.
Starting point is 01:19:37 I mean his legacy is at stake now and despite President Biden's repeated insistence that he'll remain in the race. I'm not going anywhere. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries today indicating his caucus is far from decided. Those conversations have been candid, comprehensive, and clear-eyed, and they continue. And Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer batting down a report claiming he has signaled to donors he's open to a change at the top of the ticket by saying quote I support president Biden and remain committed to ensuring Donald Trump is defeated in
Starting point is 01:20:12 November. The White House and the campaign hoping to calm Capitol Hill fears sent 3 top officials to brief senators but many of the senators left with more questions than answers. I still have concerns because I need more of the data and analytics that show the path to victory. Biden does have his backers in Congress who are encouraging their colleagues to end the speculation and get on board. We have the team, we have the operation, we have the president who I trust. But many others have offered less than enthusiastic support And then the final one from CNN. Look this is a continuing
Starting point is 01:20:51 Trauma and turmoil for the Democrats and when you go and talk to a lot of them What they say is it just wanted to be over already I want it to end and I have heard people who say to me I don't want Joe Biden to be the nominee I want this to change, but I don heard people who say to me, I don't want Joe Biden to be the nominee. I want this to change, but I don't even care anymore. We just need to stop. And that's where it was before all this changed. Everything changed.
Starting point is 01:21:16 Really? What do you think? Let's stop and do some analysis here. Okay. First of all, do you think Biden will be the nominee or not? So far, he is. He still is the nominee. He's got it wrapped up, actually. If he wants to be the nominee, he is the nominee. Yeah, and he clearly wants to be.
Starting point is 01:21:40 So will he be? You're willing to take a chance and make a guess? Yeah, I'll say that he will be the nominee at the convention. He will not bow out before the convention and at the convention he will be the nominee. I'm pretty secure in saying that. Yeah, well that's fine, but will he be on the ballot at the end of the day in November? Oh, who knows? He could be dead.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Oh, come on. He could be dead. I'm old aged. Yeah, I mean, anything. Now, the other one is the other question that we should answer, why we still have the big audience. Who's going to be the VP for Trump? I think, oh, for Trump, I find that somehow it feels like it's not going to be anybody
Starting point is 01:22:30 we're talking about. I'm going to stick with my earlier prediction that it's going to be Rubio. That would be someone no one's talking about anymore. Rubio kind of went down the list once JD Vance came onto the scene. I'm going to stick with Rubio. If he picks JD Vance, I'll be stunned. JD Vance was a never-Trump-er. He has all these issues. I don't know. He almost didn't get elected if it wasn't for Trump. He wouldn't even be in office. And Trump said something about facial hair.
Starting point is 01:23:09 Yeah, he doesn't like guys with facial hair. That's true. I saw someone on TikTok, I think. It's obvious, she said. Barron is going to be his VP. Forget about the age qualification, but he's going. By the way, Barron is looking like a pretty cool dude. Well, he should be on a basketball team
Starting point is 01:23:35 in some college for sure. For sure, yeah, for sure. Yeah, Barron will be interesting to see how he turns out. Well, I think the next move is Trump's and I already told you what I think he should do. How we move forward depends entirely on his next move. I mean, it's really critical what he does. And just as an aside, I mean, he's not Superman. He's 78. Anybody getting shot basically
Starting point is 01:24:09 in the face, that's going to set you back a second. I would think. I mean, you're just like, oh, hold on, hold on. What's happening here? So I, I will hear, just one thing is going to happen. He's going to be at the convention. Yeah. Oh, for sure. And he's going to come out with a big thing on his ear, a big bandage. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. You think?
Starting point is 01:24:32 It's going to be an oversized bandage. No. It's going to be some big thing. Yeah, so he's going to look like Van Gogh. And he's going to come out with his big bandage. It's going to be reminiscent of Jack Nicholson in Chinatown, who acted through the whole movie with a big bandage on his nose, if you recall.
Starting point is 01:24:50 Trump bango. So it's going to be like, you watch, he's going to come out with this big bandage on his ear. I don't know about that. Yeah you watch. No, I don't think so. That's what I'd do. No, no.
Starting point is 01:25:05 Again, the staging, isn't it coming up? When is the convention? Is it this week? Is this coming week? Next week? It's Monday. It's Monday already, so that's tomorrow. Yeah, it's tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:25:16 No, I think- And I think the VP is gonna be picked on Wednesday. I think Wednesday's VP day, I'm pretty sure. Until then, we're gonna have all these, everybody and their sister is to be giving a speech. And I think Melania's even going to be up there for one. She wrote a letter, Melania wrote a letter. It looked a little bit chat GPT-ish to me, to be honest.
Starting point is 01:25:36 It probably was. She could barely speak English, the way I see it. But it was a sweet letter, you know, a sweet letter. It was like, let's all calm down. Let's, you know, there's,, like let's all calm down, let's, you know, politicians are also humans, they have families. It was nice. Of course, you know, gets no traction because oh, it's mine.
Starting point is 01:25:55 It wouldn't get any traction, I'm sure it went through a bunch of PR people too. So do you think our country can live through this calmly, that we can not go all in and start yelling at each other? Can we handle that? Oh, we're yelling at each other already. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:11 I think it'll calm down for a while, but it's gonna heat back up, you watch. I mean, this is just, doesn't, it's kind of part of what you wanna do. I have a funny clip, which would be kind of cool to play before the break, of Katie Hopkins, who is kind of a fan favorite. She used to be on LBC.
Starting point is 01:26:33 She's a British commentator who got kicked off the air because she was a little too conservative for the BBC and other operations, other news outlets. She's also a bit of a blowhard and annoying. Or she's a, she's a, she's a, yeah, she should be an actress or something because she's ridiculous. But I have to say she's very funny sometimes. And this particular rant has got some good material in it. Batch at Bonkers, Bidenland, where Biden is out on the campaign trail like a maniac trying to run away from his terminal diagnosis that's already been decided by Pelosi and Obama.
Starting point is 01:27:14 They're just working out which day the guillotine will finally fall and he's acting more demented. Started like calling out weirdly when he's doing a speech. Oh, Trump's a rapist. Just like a drunk uncle at Walmart, who's got his cock out and is trying to hump a ring donut from Krispy Kreme. In other news, the big news is that Lincoln might have been queer. Why do we need to go back into history to put queerness in to make it more acceptable now? I mean, we're surrounded
Starting point is 01:27:45 by queer leaders, Macron, Trudeau, I mean, I'd argue, Kirstama, and of course, you've got Obama with big Mike. You don't need to make Lincoln gay, darlings. You've got them surrounded all the time. And finally, Trump is absolutely owning this chaos amongst the Democrats and loving it. He fed the media a headline yesterday, which is that his VP pick is a bit like being on The Apprentice, knowing that they would gobble it up, make the story all about him in an elevated way. It looks like darling Melania will turn up at the RNC
Starting point is 01:28:19 and she will be perfection. And even if you criticize Melania, even if you had things to say about her, at least she's not guilty of elder abuse. Like Jill, that's it. That's it. That's it. August Biden land.
Starting point is 01:28:32 I have one more question for you. Do you, cause one thing that, that I heard a lot was, well, he's guaranteed to win. Now, do you buy that? I mean, I'm not quite sure why people think that. Because I, somebody said it and I sent the same note back They said to everybody the Democrats have something the Republicans don't have and that's a machine They create votes. They literally
Starting point is 01:28:55 Literally create votes dead people dead people vote Democrat they don't vote Republican and and a lot of people vote more than once, and it's usually Democrats. They have a machine. Chicago is probably the epitome of this machine, where they just run everything. And it runs through the machine, and out comes a winner. California has largely adopted it. And so we have nothing but Democrats. And the school systems push it.
Starting point is 01:29:21 And they push the Democrat narrative. And so, no, I don't think anything's a shoo-in. Yeah. If they turn the machine off, it'll be a landslide. I think, what's his name? The ex- who's that guy? The ex- political consultant, the guy with the round head head he looks a little like a cartoon character His Obama's guy. Oh axelrod ax axelrod axelrod ax man ax
Starting point is 01:29:54 He thinks it's gonna be if if Biden stays and he keeps predicting landslide which says to me and he's part of the machine He's out of these the Chicago machine. And so that means that it's a possibility that the Democrats will turn the machine off. Well, that seems to be the threat. I don't see any reason Axelrod's saying that unless that's a threat to turn off the machine. Well, I'm still gonna hold, even though this happened, I'm still going to say that they really want him in.
Starting point is 01:30:26 They want him to handle the financial problems that are inevitable. And he's probably the guy to do it. He's probably the guy to do it. Or the guy to blame. The, just, oh man, so Project 2025, there was some Yale lady who explained it, was hilarious. She's like, they want to get rid of people, farmers who farm corn. You go into the document, you say, well, yeah, it's actually, it's a GMO corn. They want to get rid of that.
Starting point is 01:30:58 Okay. All right. No, that Project 2025, which I believe Trump doesn't know anything about, nor does anybody. I mean, this is like out of the blue document that's used as a cudgel by the Democrats to beat up the Republicans. And it's like, you've looked at it. I haven't even seen a copy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:20 No, I've put it in the show notes twice, actually. What I like is all the memes that are going around. I have a list of them. Because of course no one really reads it. Only dopes like me will look at it. It's 900 pages. I don't expect you to read it. In it, Arby's five for $5 returns.
Starting point is 01:31:40 Five dollars. I'm going to list these up myself. I love this. Five dollar footlongs come back to subway ashtrays Burger King is McRib all year round Dine-in Pizza Hut's with red cups. These my malboro points catalog returns I like that one and yeah, but this pull tab beer cans who doesn't want them smoking and real food on planes
Starting point is 01:32:04 Put CD players back in cars. Put a CD player in my car. Well, hello. Your car. No fat chicks in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Middle car seat with no seatbelt. Middle car seat with no seatbelt. And a federal bailout for Red Lobster.
Starting point is 01:32:28 That to me is like, there's America, man. It's like we just go and do- There's a lot of these floating around. ... make fun of that. And with that, I'd like to thank you for your courage. Say in the morning to you, the man who put the sea in crooks. Say hello to my friend on the other end, the one and only Mr. John C. DeVorent. Good morning to you, Mr. Adam Curry. Good morning to all the ships and sea boots on the ground,
Starting point is 01:32:49 feeling the air subs in the water of the dames and nights out there. All right, let's do a troll count, see what we got going on here. Joke out. 4,031. No. Yeah. 4,031 trolls hanging out, listening in. Good.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Well, that's the new record. I think it is a record. No, I know it's a record. I write these down. More assassination attempts. This is good. Well, I hope that everyone's okay. I hope we're all in our places.
Starting point is 01:33:21 The old record was 3046. Oh, you wrote that down? We had 2347 on the last Sunday. So this is good. Oh, the trolls, of course, are in the troll room. What was it, fourth? Give me the number. 4031.
Starting point is 01:33:33 That's dynamite. Almost 1,000 more than the old record. Yeah. Well, I'm happy that people come to listen to the voice of reason as we cut through the fog of facts. Because breaking, nobody knows anything. But we'll know more on Thursday. Let's not obsess about too much,
Starting point is 01:33:55 because that's the point. Pay attention to all this. Meanwhile, who knows what's happening? That's what we needed. What is going on? What is happening? There's stuff going on, Something that we aren't. I got some clips from stuff going on. It really annoyed me. That's why the clips came in so late
Starting point is 01:34:09 because I was doing my normal clip routine and all of a sudden all the news is wiped off the map. I know. I know. So all I have is just a million of these clips about this, you know, speculation about one thing or another. This is no good. It's only to keep people busy and busy, distracted, and divided. That's always the point of anything. Distracted and divided, the big three. Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:38 The trolls are at trollroom.io. You can go there at any time. It's 24-7. There's always something happening. And we got a lot of shows on the No Agenda stream. So you can just leave it on. I mean, I know people who have it on 24 hours a day and actually in the troll room too. You can always listen to it on a modern podcast app.
Starting point is 01:34:59 Now, if you do that, now it's always, whenever these things happen, you know, you get the inevitable tweets, we need an emergency pod, an emergency pod, please an emergency pod. Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, it does happen. It's useless, pointless. And and a very violating use of the word pod, which is very, very, very, very disturbing to me.
Starting point is 01:35:23 Who needs that aggravation? Very disturbing to me. Who needs that aggravation? Very disturbing. But if we were to do that, now you would know about it because Modern Podcasts app alerts you when we go live. That's what's kind of cool about it. And of course you can listen to all of your podcasts in there, bless you. You can listen to all your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:35:40 You can import your old podcast lists, support independent podcast app producers. Overcast is going to do a complete rewrite. That's probably the number three app, Overcast. He's going to do a whole new version of it. Bless you again. Sorry. That's okay.
Starting point is 01:35:58 Go to podcastapps.com. You can pick one. Pick any of them. Look at all the different features. But for sure, get one that has the alerts. When we update our show and we publish 90 seconds from that time, you'll know that it's happening. Now, unlike the mainstream media and all these jemokes
Starting point is 01:36:16 who we've been listening to and watching diligently, who cannot say everything because they have all kinds of agendas and issues, certainly when it comes to, well, like it was this shooter on any kind of antidepressant SSRI, we'll never hear about it, at least not in the mainstream. Maybe we'll get some insight to it and we'll let you know because the big pharma owns the media with their advertising budgets so they can never say anything negative about them. And we don't, we don't take any corporate money of any kind.
Starting point is 01:36:43 No ads. We just like to be supported by our producers. That's another thing we don't have. We don't have fans. We don't have an audience. We don't have listeners. We don't have watchers. We don't have viewers.
Starting point is 01:36:54 We have producers. And boy, did they send a lot of boots on the ground and clips and information and insight and a lot of help, which I think helped both of us to sift through everything that was coming in. It's much appreciated. It's part of our value for value model. Time, talent, or treasure will take anything that you want to give us, as long as it equals the value you got out of the show.
Starting point is 01:37:16 So art is definitely something that we like getting from our producers. We always have 20, at least 20 different pieces to pick from. We think it's, well, we know 20 different pieces to pick from. We think it's, well, we know it's good for the show. People see it. It's good for sharing. It gives you a laugh. It makes people interested in what's in this show. And I would say the artwork for episode 1676 titled Douche Mobile, by the way, we looked after the show that the douche mobile was named after Sam Altman's supercar, which is like a $30 million car. And it's a plug-in hybrid, which is the funniest thing.
Starting point is 01:37:58 That art was brought to us by Darren O'Neill, who did a great prompt jockey job. And it got attention. It got attention. It was and even Tina said, is that Jake Tapper? Yes it is. Yes it is. Jake Tapper. It had him all jitty with all of his badges and his CNN mic and his press hat and it was really, I think it was the best piece. Did we look at anything else? No, but it was the best piece. Did we look at anything else? No, we looked at it, but it was the best piece. I mean, it wasn't like, there was nothing
Starting point is 01:38:30 that was competitive. And I had made the comment since I had complimented him earlier in the show that he went out of his way to produce a winner. And he's also moved up the ladder. I think he's one away from- The guy with no artistic talent. At all. That we can tell. Isn't it cruel? The art world is cruel.
Starting point is 01:38:51 He's got one more to go and he'll be tied with Martin J.J. for second place all time. Another Dutch master. That is crazy. And Darren uses, it's funny how that works. These Dutch masters, people's toiling away, and then he slaps something together and boom. Making art is hard. And maybe this is truly the only thing that AI is good for is art for the No Agenda Show. To be honest about it. That's funny. That's worth $50 billion in investment. Did we see anything else?
Starting point is 01:39:32 They're probably losing their ass. I mean, he did a couple of good pieces. Probably. And this piece, for the AI to make this art, I don't know how many times he had it. Redo the prompt. Redo the prompt. But every time it's gotta be like 10 bucks or at least a dollar. But let's say 10 bucks were the cycle time and, and on the part, on the other
Starting point is 01:39:55 end of it, it's probably cost, you know, a lot of money eventually, cause you know, this wasn't a one shot. No, no, no. You know, Darren, let us know. I'd like to know how you did it. Will he give away? I would like to know the exact prompt. Yeah, and how many times he redid the prompt.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Yeah, let's see. You know, what I'm a little tired of is all the... A lot of the AI art is all circle. That's all comics or blogger. He started his prompt is, draw a circle, put in it. Every single piece of it is a circle. Yeah, it's always a circle.
Starting point is 01:40:32 He's becoming a circle jerk. And there it is. Thank you very much. Darren O'Neill also does the pre-stream, the rock and roll show, rock and roll pre-show. Just before we start live on Sundays and Thursdays at TrollRoom.io. Jump in there and troll along and let them know that we love him and that you love him too. Let's thank our executive and associate executive producers for episode 1677.
Starting point is 01:40:58 These are the producers who come in $200 and above. You get an associate executive producer credit. That's how it works in Hollywood. And we read your note, $300 or above, you get an executive producer credit, and we read your note, and we like them to be short, and many of these are short, some are a little bit longer.
Starting point is 01:41:20 And we really appreciate it, when people send back this type of value, it tells me they appreciate what we're doing. And that feels good. Earl Christopher kicks us off from Marshfield, Wisconsin with 571.83, which is 54321 plus fees. And he says, no jingles, no karma. That's a mensch for you. Thank you very much, Earl. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:41:46 Yeah, that is a winner. Lauren in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania comes in for 500 bucks. Good for her. And she wrote a sweet note in her handwriting, which is a very pretty modern, uh, long hand or cursive as the kids like to say. Yes, cursive, cursive. I like your show so much. I was hit in the mouth in 2023 and haven't missed an episode.
Starting point is 01:42:10 Thank you for your hard work. This is interesting. She is post-COVID. Yeah, oh yeah, she's new. Yeah, she's a newbie. Newbie, welcome. Thank you for your hard work, excellent media deconstruction,
Starting point is 01:42:22 and spot onon recommendations. I really enjoyed Family of Secrets by Russ Baker and the... The German vinegar in my sparkling water. Oh, the German vinegar that was in the sparkling water. Yes, that vinegar in sparkling water is a stunner. You came for the media deconstruction, but you stayed for the drinking tips. I love it. That vinegar is so tasty. Will you please de-douche me?
Starting point is 01:42:53 You've been de-douched. And add me to the birthday list for Sunday, July 14th. No jingles, no karma. Love is lit. Lauren in Pittsburgh. She's on the list as far as I know. Yes, she is. We move to Sir Leron Dothan, Leron Dothan, Parts Unknown, and sends us 350.93. Hello again. Still enjoying this go-to podcast, Sir Leron Dothan. Again, a beautiful support and short notes. Thank you, Sir Leron. And yeah, no jingles, no crime.
Starting point is 01:43:24 We're just doing a row for you. Yeah, Sir Leiron. And yeah, no jingles, no crime. Just two in a row for you. Yeah, that's good. Brian Dowd in Bear Country, New Jersey. 343-375, which I guess is 333.33 with the money. Brian here from Bear County, or Bear Country, in North, Bear Country in Northwest New Jersey. I know Northwest New Jersey was Bear Country, is that right? It's Bear Country, baby. Yeah. I know northwest New Jersey was bear Yeah, yes bears Nothing, but bears bears. There's another bear you guys rock been listening for almost a year now another newbie
Starting point is 01:43:55 Happy to contribute love the D spinning of the media. I'll take anything else Sharpton mispronouncing stuff Well, keep up the great work and thank you. We happen to have some of that. Haven't played it in a while. Resist. We must. We must. They're all jitty about a shutdown. The Torteese in the race.
Starting point is 01:44:14 Then co-author of Who Breeze. U2 lead singer Bono. Fran Drescher. Siganoi Weaver. Suspect Jahar Saniyev. Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh, Rush Limbaugh, the show Rush Lumbar, host Supreme Court Justice Sonia Satchmaier. You've got karma. Oh Al, oh Al, oh Al, we love you Al. And David Byrne, I wonder if it's the David Byrne.
Starting point is 01:44:46 David Byrne. You never know, does he live in Staten Island? I really doubt it. No, he lives in Manhattan. He lives, I think, in the village. I know because my stepdaughter sees him all the time at the bar. He hangs out.
Starting point is 01:44:59 Oh, he's hanging around. Yeah, I think it's Byrne's with an S. Tell him to get back to work. He's in his 70s, he's chill, he has a bike with those big fat wheels that he rides around. You know what I mean? Like the really big fat tires. I know exactly what you mean. Goofball.
Starting point is 01:45:16 So David Burn is in Staten Island, New York, sends us 34375 and he says, crazy times, stay sane with John and Adam. Well there's an endorsement, thank you. Chase Martin in Ephrata, Ephrata, or Ephrata, I don't know, Pennsylvania. ITM gentlemen, thank you for the countless hours of entertainment that keep me locked on my job site. Keep me locked in on my job site.
Starting point is 01:45:40 Please accept my 340 donation as well as my shameless plug. Ad read, no, just a tax write off, you bet. Here we go. Transform your space with Martin's Premium Painting Services. Too long already. LLC based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. You can come out here and paint my house. We specialize in residential, minor commercial, and custom house builder projects

Starting point is 01:46:20 Chase Martin, Martins Premium Painting Services. Okay, that's your plug. Yeah, you went off the rails with the fineness on Facebook, but I'll let you slide. Viscount. Yeah, really, you should just have a website. Yeah, I mean, seriously, fineness on Facebook. Viscount, Dame Meouderson.
Starting point is 01:46:36 Dame Meouderson, I know Dame Meouderson better in Nashville. Winter Park, Florida, 333.36. And she has a birthday in July 18. She'll be turning 36 and she sent in a note. In the morning boys, you wanted a boots on the ground about Taylor Swift. So did we? Uh not that I know of but I'm glad to hear one. Well here we go. Taylor Swift boots on the ground. I have a terrible memory in general but do recall the heiress tour. She only has one song that people are dubbing witchcraft. I assure you it's not. People are unhinged.
Starting point is 01:47:09 She's defending the Swifties now. Yeah, of course. Of course some. Oh, I mean, how many witchcraft songs do you need? You only need one. You only need one. Of course, some Swifties are also unhinged, but not all. I guess she's a straight-laced Swifty.
Starting point is 01:47:27 It's just cool to hate her now. Well, I think it's always been cool. The No Agenda Show, I think, has always kind of hated her. Yeah, we've always kind of hated her, so it's great. We were always cool. Besides, the Tay Tay hate the shows are wonderful, as always. The jokes have been top-notch. I'm usually a few episodes behind,
Starting point is 01:47:46 but always listen when I can. I'm about to venture off on a three-week European vacation. Would like some travel karma and a hit of relationship karma and that couldn't hurt. P.S. Taylor Swift has a song called Karma. If you have any other Swifty questions, just let me know. We have no answers with this one. I adore you both. I've met Adam a few times now, so John, you're up next. Good luck. Keep up the great work. Karma is a cat. Love. I count as Dame Meoudison. You've got karma. David... The Duke. you've got karma David far by the Duke the Duke David fugizoto in Gladstone Missouri three three three three three gentlemen our contracted work was
Starting point is 01:48:36 renewed for three years and there's a piece of my bonus for sticking around thanks for the deconstruction and entertainment. Keep it up. There you go, Stuart and Sweet. Thank you. Dave is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 333.33, we love that. He sent in a note printed on paper. John Adam, it's opposite day here in Ohio County, Kentucky. You both suck.
Starting point is 01:48:57 Your show is terrible and you never have good insights. Your uninteresting show bores me and I never listen to it. Totally unhelpful. This isn't my first time donating, so you don't have to dedouche me. I've never told anyone to listen to No Agenda and I've never hit anyone in the mouth. With this donation, please play every jingle you have, which means no jingles, no karma. Going forward, I am not going to donate $5 per episode because I think your value for value motto is an extremely foolish and ineffective attempt to undermine the ad-based internet
Starting point is 01:49:24 censorship information dissemination model. I'm not encouraging NOAA general listeners to do that either. Joe Biden was mentally healthy, NPR is a national treasure, and the COVID vax was and is safe and effective. Oh geez, I can't stand the negativity. I can't do opposite day. I can't keep this up. I love you guys and I love the No Agenda Show. Thanks so much. Haha. Cheers, Dave. And he does say, Phil still a douchebag. He knows who he is. Alright. Yeah. Opposite day. Well, that was tough. Yeah, he got through it. Aditya Trimurti. Aditya Tri-Murti. I know I'm butchering the first name for sure. Tri-Murti is probably right.
Starting point is 01:50:10 And he's in Hyderabad in India. Hyderabad, I think it's Hyderabad. Hyderabad, maybe. Hyderabad. So he's in India, which is, and he came through with a Stripe donation, because we couldn't get any money out of them normally, but the Stripe seems to work in India, which is, and he came through with a Stripe donation because the India, we couldn't get any money out of them. Normally, but the Stripe seems to work in India.
Starting point is 01:50:29 And we find we have two donations from him, one for 333.33. Do take it easy on India or off Indians. We love you both despite us pretending not to catch up. And I might as well read the other one since it's the same guy. He comes in a second time with 300 bucks. So he's actually a $600 donation. Give us a break. We are costly cheap. My love to family and round table, I'll soon join.
Starting point is 01:50:59 Okay, you're in. Aditya sent me a note and said, why does John hate Indians so much? That's not true. That's what I said. I said, he doesn't hate Indians. You must've said something that ticked him off. Oh, Indians are so sensitive.
Starting point is 01:51:13 I keep talking about the Brahmins. There it is. But they're all like, oh, they're so sensitive. Oh, and now you're making fun of their accent. Okay, there you go. The guy just supported us. I like this guy. Oh, okay. Oh, and now you're making fun of their accent. Okay, there you go. The guy just supported us. I like this guy.
Starting point is 01:51:28 Oh, okay. Well, he likes you, although he thinks you hate Indians. You're just a hater, man. You hate Taylor Swift, you hate Indians. Get it together, you're driving people away. Thank you very much, Aditya. Patrick Funshion, would you pronounce it that way? Funcion?
Starting point is 01:51:48 Funcion? Funcion? Funcion? Funcion? Highland, Indiana, 333. No notes, so we give you a double up karma. Thank you very much. You've got karma.
Starting point is 01:51:56 Dame Emily in Beaverton, Oregon comes in with 32032 and it's remarkable because it's his 32nd birthday donation for myself today, July 14th, which is Bastille Day. We forgot to mention that. Ah, ah, ah. May I please? That's dumb. I know, it could have been in the newsletter too. Oh, don't but he cares.
Starting point is 01:52:19 Bastille Day. May I, especially the French, those are the guys that don't donate. They really don't care about anything. May I please have a biscuit for my birthday? They always give me a biscuit on my birthday. And a general birthday karma. I love the show Dame Emily in Portland. They always give me a biscuit on my birthday.
Starting point is 01:52:36 You've got karma. And wow, then we see Cal from Lavender Blossoms. Lavender Blossoms dotorg in Northville, Michigan. Haven't seen Cal around for a while. He is the first associate executive producer with 272.72. Cal, let us know how you're doing because you didn't send the note, so we will give you a double up karma, thank you.
Starting point is 01:52:58 You've got karma. Double up. Karma. Jonathan Farris in liberal Kansas, 24545. And he has one simple comment, should be an interesting show. Kevin Olsen is in Dilworth, Minnesota, 21060. First time donor, please deduce.
Starting point is 01:53:19 You've been deduced. Thank you, Kevin says. I'm a pharmacist, so a healthcare professional, but not nearly in the weeds as your neurologist friend a couple episodes ago. I'm speaking on experience. My father passed away 11 years ago with Parkinson's coupled with Lewy body dementia. Yes, we've gotten a lot of these emails, a lot of good detailed information. I've been saying since 2019, Joe is a mirror image of my
Starting point is 01:53:46 father freezing arms, gait difficulty, memory issues, willing to bet the farm hallucinations if not now soon. There's no way you can convince me otherwise he does not have that joke. It's sad his family is pushing him through an extremely difficult mental condition. I'm not necessarily hoping for his demise but wish we all in in Peren's media could freaking understand what is going on. And there's no way I want my dad running the country seeing what he went through. Thanks for all you guys do. And I wanted to add another note since one of our producers sent this in. It was, I mean,
Starting point is 01:54:22 I said, can I read this? Because as sad as it is, my father-in-law was diagnosed with Parkinson's over 20 years ago. Through as many medications, he was able to function with little issue until last year. That's when the hallucinations started and they escalated quickly to the point that we have placed him in special care. From what we have researched on the subject, most Parkinson's patients will eventually succumb to Lewy body dementia if they live long enough. He says, I agree 100% with your producers that talked about her mother's cat in the plant and the anger and refusal of help. If you didn't laugh,
Starting point is 01:54:56 you'd cry. My father-in-law is convinced he's the president of Campbell Soup and that all his gold is hiding in the floor tiles. For the record, he has no gold and was the deputy fire chief of the city for most of his life. And it's a horrible disease. That's terrible. Well, I want to play a bonus clip
Starting point is 01:55:15 for the people who like to listen to this part of the show. Because we got into a debate. Bonus clip! I'm sorry. We got a debate about this because this is Biden reading from the prompter and then just out of the blue says, what are you doing? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:31 And you thought it was a, and you might be right with either, but you play this, this Biden clip. I'm going to go to South Korea and we're going to get the chip. What are you doing? I'm going to get Japan and Korea. Yeah. So I saw you post about it and I had to post because you were like, what is going on? Insinuating that.
Starting point is 01:55:51 I think someone posted in that thread like, oh, is he's they couldn't, he couldn't hear and they were talking to him in his ear. No, this is a typical prompter fail where they scrolled too fast. I think they just scrolled up too fast. Could you see him looking right at the prompter. He looks up when he says, what are you doing? As though he sees a cat. No, it's because the prompter scrolled up and he's looking above the prompter, see if the words are there. Where'd they go? That to me was a classic prompter fail.
Starting point is 01:56:18 Well, it does happen. I've read from prompter and I've never said, what are you doing? When the prompter guy falls asleep by the way, which does happen. Yes, it's a boring job Yeah, we used to have Prompter Girl Christine and Prompter Boy John at MTV. This is when the prompter was on a literal conveyor belt with a camera pointed at the conveyor belt and they'd put big sheets of paper and roll them underneath the camera. This is before we had digital capability.
Starting point is 01:56:55 And it'd have a little control and it would just roll this conveyor belt back and forth and it had large type on the, in fact you had prompter formatted paper. That's how old I am, kids. Yep, yep, here you go. Why don't you read this one, I'll read the last one. This is from Eli the coffee guy.
Starting point is 01:57:13 Oh, your buddy. That's right. Like many of the post COVID workforce, it's like the media stopped trying and is just mailing it in. To paraphrase Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsase Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsyn.
Starting point is 01:57:27 Solzhenitsyn. That was close. He's like some kind of philosopher dude. No, he's a novelist. A novelist dude. To quote Solzhenitsyn. Never mind, just to quote good old Alex. Alex said, we know they are lying.
Starting point is 01:57:46 They know they are lying. And they know that we know they are lying, but they are still lying. In our country, the lies become not just a moral category, but a pillar of industry. Adam, John, thank you for pointing out the M5M media hypocrisy and putting passion in your craft. At gigawattcofferoasters.com, we also put passion in our craft by making great coffee. Use discount code ITM20 for 20% off your coffee order. Stay caffeinated, says Eli the Coffee Guy.
Starting point is 01:58:15 Always a nice little blurb there, Eli, thank you. Linda Lupatkin comes in from Next, right at the end. She's always following Eli. In Lakewood, Colorado, and she wants jobs karma as usual. And for a faster, she says, more effective job search, visit ImageMakersInc.com. That's ImageMakersInc. With a K. Your go-to for executive resume job search needs and work with Linda Lu, Duchess of Jobs and writer of resumes. Jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs. Let's vote for jobs.
Starting point is 01:58:48 Yay! Mixed up karma. Yeah, I actually got a note from someone who said, jobs karma really works. Here it is, who was this? The Baron of Old Bay. I was the lead off executive producer requested jobs karma on the last show.
Starting point is 01:59:05 My team of 25 was told of our layoff on April 15th. I needed to find a job inside the software company where I'd been for 24 years or I would be gone by August 30th. The day after the show, I got the job offer I wanted. I should have, he says I should have requested jobs karma sooner or sent my resume to Linda Lu Patkin with code bond Gino
Starting point is 01:59:30 And finally last associate executive producer, yeah, there's still one after that too. Oh, I'm sorry. I have to read both these Please it's Dame Sandcat from perump, Nevada $200 a rump. Yeah rump says any Al Sharpton will do please. ["R-E-S-P-I-C-T"] R-E-S-P-I-C-T. And indeed, Caroline Kay is from Austin, Texas. She is our final associate executive producer. Big yellow box here, that means there's a birthday involved.
Starting point is 02:00:01 Giant box. Long time listeners, first time donors. My partner Matt and I have been listening to the show for a few years now, and with this donation, here that means there's a birthday involved. Giant box. Long time listeners, first time donors. My partner Matt and I have been listening to the show for a few years now and with this donation we are douchebags no longer. You've been deduced. We were hit in the mouth by Sir Jason of the escarpment and good book here in Austin. This is a birthday donation for Matt.
Starting point is 02:00:19 It turns 39 on Wednesday. Happy birthday, Matt. I love you. Matt owns a trucking company here in Texas. Never misses an episode on his long drives. Yes, we have a lot of truckers in the- We have a lot of truckers that listen to this show. And rightly so, rightly so.
Starting point is 02:00:33 Yeah, cops too. A lot of, yes, a lot of people have a lot of time on their hands. Let's see, count him as a producer that can give you boots on the ground information on the trucking industry. Well, you just let us know when it's relevant. We both look forward to discussing Noagenda each week and we are very thankful for what
Starting point is 02:00:51 you do. I worked as a staffer in Congress and a lobbyist in DC. I can tell you with... This is our producers, man. We get the craziest producers. It's always amazing. It's amazing. It is truly amazing. It's amazing. It is truly amazing.
Starting point is 02:01:05 She continues, I can tell you with 100% certainty, there's always another side to every story. And I'm thankful you guys give voice to that and explore alternative theories. We both feel frustrated and angry about what the MSM, M5M, and the radical left have done to Trump. And now the inevitable attempt on his life yesterday.
Starting point is 02:01:24 Sadly, we aren't surprised. Is this all part of the plot to make sure Trump is elected? Well, it seems like it'll help. We look forward to your analysis. Also, question for you. Do you think Trump will do anything to thwart the Uniparty and how will he scale back the administrative state?
Starting point is 02:01:41 He's tried before, but did not succeed. And he won't succeed the next time either. We'd love to hear your thoughts on how he plans to do this, especially if he is handling a failing economy and threat of multiple international wars. I've seen firsthand with the overreach of the executive branch. Oh my God, where are we? In executive branch of government is the primary long-term issue facing our country. Thoughts? Well, lots.
Starting point is 02:02:08 Actually, I do have a... Well, I'll play a clip in a minute. Listening to No Agendas help us keep the news in perspective and stay strong against enormous pressure to take the COVID vaccine for ourselves and our three human resources. Good for you. To remove our kids from public school in favor of a charter school and to know that we really should be focused on the potholes. Thank you both.
Starting point is 02:02:28 And thank you to all the No Agenda producers who have donated to keep John and Adam going. I request I love my truck and abisicum on my birthday jingle. And actually, I wanted to play, since she asked that, there was a very interesting interview. David Stockman had this analysis about possibly a path for Bobby the Op. So it is very possible that by the time we get to November, that the Democrats will throw in the towel because their candidate will come in very badly behind Trump, they will have no way of stopping Trump except to line up behind Robert Kennedy and throw a lot of those blue state votes in the
Starting point is 02:03:15 US House to Kennedy. So it sounds far-fetched and I agree this is a low probability scenario. But it's possible that in a hung jury in the electoral college and a down to the wire vote in the US House come January, 2025, so you could elect a third party candidate who basically would turn the system upside down. Kennedy is the one guy that can get us out of the forever wars. He's the one guy that understands that government is not your friend most of the time, and it
Starting point is 02:03:54 needs to be curtailed and contained per the constitutional process. He's a real constitutionalist, which is unbelievable. This Trump has never read the Constitution. And Biden does everything he can to override it and set it aside. Bobby never gets any play here, so I figured I'd add that. I don't think-
Starting point is 02:04:17 I love my truck and I love what I do. But resist, we must. Wait, that's not what you want. She wanted a biscuit. They always give me a biscuit on my birthday. There you go. That's it for our executive and associate executive producers for episode 1677.
Starting point is 02:04:33 Thank you all very much. We are delighted and pleased that you value us enough to send some value back in time, talents, and treasure. We value any support, any means, hitting people in the mouth, maintaining websites for us, registering domain names that are fun, doing meetups, there's so much you could, jingles, end of show mixes,
Starting point is 02:04:54 it is all very much appreciated. Also those who come in under our executive and associate executive producer level, we'll be reading and thanking you, reading your names and thanking you later on. And under 50, which you don't read for reasons of anonymity and for brevity's sake. And of course, we would like everybody to consider a sustaining donation. You can make up the frequency and the amount yourself.
Starting point is 02:05:17 Go to noagendadonations.com and thank you again for being supporters and producers of 1677. Our formula is this. We go out, we hit people in the mouth. for being supporters and producers of 1677. Our formula is this. We go out, we hit people in the mouth. Order! Order! Shut up, say!
Starting point is 02:05:41 Knowage in the donations dot com. Go there today. Do it, kids. Off the wall clip to play. Okay. You know, the United States spends all its money on armaments that we just give away to other nations in the form of supposed loans and whatever. Military gear.
Starting point is 02:06:03 Military gear. Here's what China does with their resources. This is China in Africa. A new report says Beijing's mouthpiece now has a presence in over 70 percent of African countries, while U.S.-funded broadcaster Voice of America only has one bureau on the continent. There's an impact in the sense that China is able to establish and instill certain media and ideological narratives on the African continent. Narratives such as solidarity with China, you know, sort of trying to export authoritarian models onto the African continent.
Starting point is 02:06:41 Herman Wasserman, head of the University of Cape Town's media studies department, detailed one case. He told the Epoch Times that he's seen Chinese media reports outline how U.S. companies are profiting from Russia's war on Ukraine. He said the media reports suggested that Washington is keeping the war going because it's making money. But what makes Africa a target for influence? The continent has abundant rare earth minerals, resources critical for making green energy
Starting point is 02:07:10 products. African countries also hold over a quarter of the voting power in the United Nations. And economic pressure on those countries could sway their choice of votes. Zooming out, Chinese state-controlled broadcasters have a big reach in Africa. In Kenya alone, China's state broadcaster Xinhua reaches more than 10 million people every month. China's propaganda department also provides free content for African state and private broadcasters. In addition, it trains many young African journalists and sends them on paid trips to China. China trains a lot of journalists, actually probably trains more journalists, more African
Starting point is 02:07:49 journalists than any other Western country. Oh, not surprising. And did you hear about Uganda? Since we're on African news for a moment. New gold discovery in Uganda valued at close to $13 trillion. How does that lay there languishing for all these years? And will that affect the gold price? You'd think it would.
Starting point is 02:08:16 Like all of a sudden there's this new glut of gold, the glut of gold, there you go. Well, it depends on how hard it is to get out. Well, they got a picture on the just they're like just pans of it look at all this gold and they're not and this is the mistake they're now saying hey maybe we should do a gold back currency Listen, guys, Gaddafi, this is not a good idea. And also, you're going to find gold, a big pile of it, like trillions of dollars worth. You'd want to cordon off the whole area and say, oh, there's hardly any here.
Starting point is 02:08:56 Because what you've done is pull an Osborne and pre-announce all this gold. Probably not a good strategy. It will lower the price. Some climate change news. This one was interesting. Maybe you know more about this phenomenon. New research has revealed that the solid inner core of our planet may have reversed its rotation.
Starting point is 02:09:24 A comparison of earthquake seismic waves from the past decade with those from similar quakes in the 1960s showed that the inner core's rotation relative to Earth's outer layers stopped from 2009 to 2020. And now it may have reversed direction, something that appears to happen every 60 to 70 years or so. While more research is needed, if the core's rotation has reversed, a number of things could be impacted, such as the length of our day, Earth's geomagnetic field, and even our climate. Now I've heard about the poles reversing and this is something that's happened historically but I didn't know about Earth's inner core
Starting point is 02:10:09 reversing this rotation. I think it's the Earth's inner core that accounts for the poles. The magnetic field, it creates a magnetic field by spinning around I guess. Well I don't know what you think about this. Well I'll tell you one thing, this has been a beautiful summer.
Starting point is 02:10:24 It's 70 degrees in the evening. It's phenomenal here in Texas right now. And it's well into July. This is not on par with the past couple of summers, even though it's the hottest year on record. The summer we have here, or the July we have here, is very much the same as usual. It's overcast and cold. And filled with weirdos. In the 1800s, this is what Mark Twain was bitching about, saying the coldest winter I've ever spent
Starting point is 02:11:00 was the July in San Francisco. It's still true. I was reading- And there's not, I don't, you know, this is just normal and it's annoying. I was reading another Mark Twain quote the other day. It was something that went like this. Politicians are like diapers,
Starting point is 02:11:17 both should be changed frequently. Does that sound like a twain quote to you? It sounds like one of the, maybe, maybe. And in Biden's case, we got both. So back to climate change for a second. One of the big promises is flying cars on batteries. It's going to be great. Everybody will have a flying car. There'll be no
Starting point is 02:11:47 emissions. You could do traffic. It's all going to end. It's great. There's a hundred companies, at least all soliciting investor money. What they never mentioned is your actual radius is about 60 miles. You can fly for about 27 minutes and then the battery has to either be changed or recharged. And they were supposed to have a big demo of actually, I mean, it's not a flying car. It's a helicopter. It's basically a drone. You've probably seen it with the big circular disc on top with all of the propellers and the body looks like a helicopter body.
Starting point is 02:12:22 It's a very ugly, very ugly thing. And it was supposed to be debuting an air taxiing people for the Paris Olympics, which is about to start. This area, they're supposed to, we're gonna have one of these air taxi, electric air taxis around the Bay Area, supposedly. Yeah, dream on. Next is one of the many logistical questions still hanging over the Paris Olympics,
Starting point is 02:12:43 two weeks from the opening ceremony. Will there be flying taxis? Well, here to disappoint us is tech editor Peter O'Brien. By the way, I'd like that introduction. Here to disappoint us. That's just perfect. Peter, the idea has seen its wings clipped in the end. It has.
Starting point is 02:13:01 To be honest, I'm quite sick of flying taxis now. We see them every year at all the trade shows. They're there every year at VivaTech. I've not been in one. Have you been in one? I don't think anyone's actually flown in. No one's really flown in them apart from very select few people, although they've been bandied around for years. Case in point, last year's Paris Air Show, the Paris Airports company, announced with its German startup partner, Volocopter, that by the Olympics this year, they would have electric, vertical and takeoff and landing
Starting point is 02:13:31 aircraft services in time for the Games. In other words, human-sized drones carrying passengers flitting around the city. Now, they then started to sort of backtrack and we heard that a few months ago, Volocopter saying that there would not necessarily be commercial flights available because even though they did say they had backing from the French Civil Aviation Authority, they would need a host of other approvals for this. And then they then start talking about demonstration flights featuring celebrities, VIPs, athletes. But with two weeks to go, they don't even have this French Aviation Authority approval to even run demonstration flights on the routes they're hoping to do so, let alone commercial flights, which, as
Starting point is 02:14:16 I say, would require a whole load more approvals. It's never going to happen. The weight, the power to weight ratio is ridiculously stupid. So then we have this, I don't know where, I mean, this story came, I got it from a number of different people about, it's too hot for rescue helicopters to fly. In this incredible heat wave we're having. And on Yahoo, they, so they're talking about extreme heat baking the West,
Starting point is 02:14:50 emergency helicopters struggle to fly. They literally show a picture of a helicopter in the UK, just to make it stupider, you know, with a G registration. And they show an MD-902, I'm very familiar with the F flown at the MD-902 Which has a an operating temperature of minus. It's like minus 40 and plus 127 and by the way for every 1000 feet you you go up in altitude The temperature drops by three degrees to two and a half to four degrees, I think, depending on where you are.
Starting point is 02:15:28 And so a lot of these rescue helicopters are saying, but we can't fly. And I will say to that, there are helicopters that are specifically made for high and hot temperature. And if your helicopter can't fly to save one, you don't have the right gear. So I don't know what these stories are about all of a sudden,
Starting point is 02:15:47 the tying it to climate change, but you need a different helicopter. There are helicopters that are, and of course the air density is the problem. That's really, it's not that the engine's melting or the controls can't handle it, it's the air density, which definitely becomes a lot less dense with heat.
Starting point is 02:16:06 But there are different blade configuration, the whole bunch of ways that this is solved. So I don't know if people are, maybe they want new gear. Hey, we need new helicopters. Now you're talking. New helicopters, that must be it. But I just got a lot of people asking that question. So figured I'd answer it.
Starting point is 02:16:26 And you did a great job. Thank you. And then this news, which came to us, part of the cyber pandemic as predicted. Yet another data breach this time at AT&T and nearly all of its customers are affected. AT&T revealed just today, a hackers stole the records of calls and texts of
Starting point is 02:16:45 tens of millions of cell phone users and many non-customers were exposed as well. The YOS company says the data was illegally downloaded in a third-party cloud platform. AT&T says the breach includes data captured between May 1st of 2022 and October 31st of that same year. Plus it also includes records from January 2nd of 2023 for a very small number of customers. AT&T has more than 100 million wireless customers in all. Here's what the stolen logs contain. A record of every number a customer called or texted, the number of times they interacted, and the duration of those calls. AT&T says the data does not contain the content of calls or texts, or other personal information like social security numbers and dates of birth. However, the company acknowledges that publicly available tools
Starting point is 02:17:35 can often link names with specific phone numbers. The company admits it learned about it back in April. You might recall that was while the company was dealing with an unrelated major data leak. AT&T released a statement saying in part, we launched an investigation and engaged leading cyber security experts to understand the nature and scope of the criminal activity. We have taken steps to close off the illegal access point. That statement goes on to say the company is cooperating with law enforcement and reports at least one person has been apprehended so far.
Starting point is 02:18:08 The Department of Justice says it is investigating the incident. AT&T promised to notify current and former customers whose information was involved in this hack and provide them with resources to help protect their information moving forward. This is, it's all the reporting is so poor. This is, they're just reading press releases at this point. This is part of the Snowflake issue. Snowflake is this company that does external data for companies and they're the ones
Starting point is 02:18:34 that have all these problems. And from what I understand, it's coming from probably from the exploiting confluence. You remember this bike maybe a year ago? I don't know if it was a zero day, but somehow, you know, Atlassian, they have all, they bought all these different programs, they have JIRA and Confluence and another one, I'm sure.
Starting point is 02:18:57 And Confluence, I mean, we use that at Mevio, but that's been compromised at some crazy low level. And that's just been a leaking sieve. And a lot of government contractors use it, government uses it in general. But there's like no reporting on it. And even funnier, the award-winning technology podcast, Pivot,
Starting point is 02:19:24 with your buddy, Kara, Kara Go Ahead Swisher, they do ad reads and Atlassian advertises on their podcast. Do you think they would handle this issue? Do you think they would report on it? Well, not if they want to keep their advertiser. Exactly. But, um, at this point, I mean, I was an AT&T customer and one of those previous leaks leaked all of my information and, you know, how many different offers do I need to get from companies that say, Oh, we'll give
Starting point is 02:20:04 you a year off of a Dirkbox or whatever, you know, all these different companies that protect you, protect your identity. It's compromised. You're compromised. Everything is compromised. It's no good. And the reporting is poor.
Starting point is 02:20:21 We should start a tech show. Oh yeah, because everyone's so interested. The, did you, what, so what's the status of this fiber going down? My fiber? Yeah. No, they didn't tell me. Is it up again? Is it back up? Oh yeah, no, it was down for about eight hours, and you know, I diligently go on the website
Starting point is 02:20:44 and I type in my address, which I'm sure is being leaked somewhere. And then they say, well, there's no outage. And then I go to the chat bot and I go through all the questions until it finally says, would you like to speak to a human? Yes, please. And then you get little dot, dot, dot bubbling.
Starting point is 02:21:02 Oh, hi, I'm looking up your data. Okay, all right, I see. Yeah, I'm looking up your data okay alright I see yeah I'm already you know did you check on the outage yeah I checked on the outers there's nothing there let me check your line five minutes later well it looks like you are in the area of an outage and then all of a sudden the outage shows up on their outage map. We'll text you when it's back up. No, it's also poor. What's the provider? Frontier, which they bought up the Fios system from, was that Verizon, Fios?
Starting point is 02:21:35 I don't know. In general, it's good. I mean, I haven't had a problem for at least a year. It goes down maybe once a year or something, but they did not tell me what's happening. I have a couple of clips from Scott Ritter analyzing the Ukraine air defenses that keep wanting more money from us and more gear. More gear, yes.
Starting point is 02:21:59 Send the Dutch F-16s. Yeah, Scott's kind of a boring guy but he I think he's accurate with his analysis so I thought I'd clip this and play it. Ukraine seems to have a particular desire for the Patriot air defense system but it'll take whatever it can get whether it be NASAms whether it be the Irish T whether it be the French Mamba they're just looking for modern air defense systems. The problem is how do you reconstruct integrated air defense umbrella when you don't have an existing umbrella under which you will be allowed to maneuver these newly acquired air
Starting point is 02:22:41 defense batteries into place, set them up, get them prepared to fight. You see, when Ukraine was initially provided with these NATO air defense systems, the Patriots, NASEMs, Iris T, Mamba, they had a Soviet era air defense umbrella that consisted primarily of the S-300 air defense system, but there were others, the Buk and other systems in place. And so Russia had to contend with an existing capable air defense system in order to get
Starting point is 02:23:10 to the air defense systems that were being provided by NATO. This allowed Ukraine the time to put these systems where they wanted to put them and to operate them roughly the way they were intended to be operated, including with great assistance from Western technical specialists, Western intelligence, et cetera. But now we have a situation where this air defense umbrella no longer exists. And when Ukraine brings in their air defense systems, they have to do so in a very makeshift, haphazard manner. They aren't able to use them the way they were designed.
Starting point is 02:23:45 This requires trickery, turning on and off radars, firing missiles before radar lock is taking place. It's a very inefficient way to use air defense systems. And because Russia is able to put an intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance umbrella over Ukraine, anytime Ukraine uses air defense, it's detected detected and then the Russians in very short order locate and destroy the systems. Well, isn't that the whole point so we can get more money to send more? We gotta get Trump just to stop this stupid war.
Starting point is 02:24:20 Anyway, it goes on as you might as well wrap it. Pretty much Ukraine's in one of these vicious cycles where there simply isn't enough weapon systems available to allow Ukraine to build the air defense umbrella it needs. And Russia will continue to destroy those weapons systems that are provided by the West, depleting the West's own supply of air defense system. This is one of the detrimental consequences of the attritional warfare that's being waged today in Ukraine.
Starting point is 02:24:52 Russia is able to destroy Ukrainian military equipment provided by the West, especially air defense, at a rate far greater than the West can resupply Ukraine or even replenish its own stocks. This is a losing equation. Without air defense, Ukraine is literally an open target for Russia to take apart as it best sees fit. This is one of the consequences of the war in Ukraine, and it's one of the issues that
Starting point is 02:25:22 this NATO summit has not been able to resolve in favor of Ukraine. Indeed, no issue has been resolved in favor of Ukraine. That's the reality of NATO today. Oh, it's even worse than that. A stern warning from Moscow about the latest development in Germany. Russia says, stationing US long range missiles here in Germany could mean that European capital cities become military targets. The Biden administration announced the deployment from 2026 at a NATO summit in Washington earlier this week. Now the agreement includes Tomahawk and hypersonic
Starting point is 02:26:00 missiles. These weapons are nuclear capable and have a range of more than 2000 kilometers. The US and German governments say the development cements their commitment to NATO and European defense. The German citizens who believe it or not are just people have banded together in protest and when you do that, what do you do? Will you get all of your country's singers together and do a we are the world type deal. And they so this is isn't no use playing it because obviously it's all in German. It's kind of black and white video and it's all the you
Starting point is 02:26:33 know, it's like the heavy metal guys singing the folk singer girl singing and and like some opera guys singing and they all take turns. And the the the chorus is we're not going to give you our sons we're not going to give you our sons We're not going to give you our sons to fight your battles Little late Germany I say a little late a little late. Yeah, I Mean the people don't matter anymore. They don't matter to any of these. These leaders are no good. They are not.
Starting point is 02:27:06 They are not. But as Katie Hopkins says, at least they're queer. Let's do a little bit of a big pharma news here. A development. Now the breaking news this morning from. I'm sorry, not a development. It's breaking news. Now the breaking news this morning from Pfizer,
Starting point is 02:27:25 the drug makers moving forward with a daily weight loss pill. Ariel Rezv is back with what we know. Good morning again, Ariel. Hey, good morning again to you, Michael. If approved, this would be one more tool in the fight against obesity. Pfizer this morning announcing it has selected a formula for its once a day GLP-1 receptor weight loss pill.
Starting point is 02:27:43 The pill's intent is to act similarly as those weekly shots like Wigovia and Zepbond that suppress appetite and lower food intake. Well, last winter, Pfizer decided to end a trial of a pill that you take twice a day after 50% of the participants reported experiencing side effects like nausea and vomiting, and they stopped taking those pills, by the way.
Starting point is 02:28:04 The company deciding to end instead, rather, to channel its efforts into creating a pill patients would only take once a day. Pfizer will be developing the pill through the end of the year and will start trials after that to determine the safety and efficacy and tolerability before submitting it to the FDA for approval. Rebecca. So much popularity among these drugs. You can see why they're trying to get one out there as well.
Starting point is 02:28:27 Ariel, thank you. No, they're all trying to get it onto Medicare. That's really what they want. That's the goal. Boots on the ground. John and Adam, I work at a third party administrator for group health benefit plans. I know, I'm a real hoot. This is our producers. Enjoying your coverage of the GLP-1 craze? I've been keeping my ear to the ground at work. For
Starting point is 02:28:50 any info you might find useful, decided to send this off. Our chief legal officer told me how it's easier for patients to get coverage now for bariatric surgery because it's cheaper for the insurers than GLP-1s. Bariatric surgery tends to be a covered service for our clients, which is large employers, but patients are usually required to jump through a lot of insurance hoops because it's so expensive. The thought of that surgery actually being preferred
Starting point is 02:29:18 by insurers really points out to how out of control the GLP-1s have become. Example, my coworker has a family member who is roughly 40 pounds overweight. They were denied Medicaid in Nevada coverage, Nevada, for GLP-1s and were guided towards bariatric surgery instead, which was approved. And her two cents, driving people towards a surgery is very extreme, expensive, and unnecessary option when you could just incentivize healthy behavior. A little fat shaming paired with health benefits for nutritional counseling and personnel training could go a long way
Starting point is 02:29:54 to saving insurers money and saving patients from the extra health risks that come with surgery or medications. Well, I can tell you that I've heard from other people in the medical device industry, other producers, that they've got a lot of lobbyists on K Street pushing for more bariatric surgery because they're basically going out of business because of GLP-1. So these are the fights that are going on. Yeah, have a surgery. It's better. Take a surgery. It's better. Take a pill.
Starting point is 02:30:26 It's better. Yes. Yeah. Eat less. Easy for you to say. Easy for you to say. Update on our astronauts. NASA has acknowledged potential alternatives to Boeing's Starliner if needed to bring back astronauts to Earth from the International Space Station.
Starting point is 02:30:48 So the Starliner brought the two astronauts to the space station on his first mission carrying people, but the pair have been docked far longer than planned, NASA said. NASA says the pair may return at the end of the month, pending results of testing on a faulty propulsion system. And the space agency said Boeing bow wings starliner still remains the primary option for what your clip is coming in and out. Yeah, I know. But everyone else can hear it.
Starting point is 02:31:13 Just not you. Bow wings starliner still remains the primary option for returning crew. But officials did acknowledge that a SpaceX capsule could be part of a contingency plan for returning them if necessary at the moment officials Don't see any reason just yet to turn to another Transportation option, but we like options All right, so let me explain what what happened So after both my drives blew up
Starting point is 02:31:41 You can explain what happened with the starliner I thought you could explain what happened with the Starliner or whatever it was. No, no. They're going to have to come back on Elon's deal. Yeah, there you go. Elon's going to lord it over him after that. And I guess rightly so. Yeah, I think so too. So both of these, all my machines have now blown up.
Starting point is 02:32:07 Yeah, you have a blowing up problem. I do. I bet you, how about getting some UPS's in there? Maybe that's got something to do with it. No. You don't think so? My mistake was to listen to you and ghost my drive. Well, what else were you going to do?
Starting point is 02:32:30 Well, I don't know, but I ghost, I ghost, I'll tell you what happened and I think it's my fault. Okay. Will that, will that make you feel better? So I don't really care one way or the other. I'm just telling you that most people ghost the drive and you're fine and dandy afterwards. And unless they have some power issues. So I ghosted the drive, which worked fine. I had a perfect copy and the machine was working. Now it's a Surface, a Surface Pro 8, so you can't actually get to the battery or the drive, of course, Microsoft. That was cheap.
Starting point is 02:33:00 That was weird. That was cheap. So then I decided, well, let me see how it works. And so I decided to try and boot up from the ghosted drive. And that's when it all fell apart. And then both boot records or master boot records or whatever it is exactly, I don't know, got corrupted. I couldn't save it with the rescue disc. I couldn't restore it.
Starting point is 02:33:29 The only, have you ever been in the automatic repair loop? Have you ever seen that nonsense? I would never run that in a million years. It doesn't do anything. It just keeps going into a loop. It was horrible. Yeah, it doesn't do anything. It was was horrible. Yeah, it doesn't do anything. It was absolutely horrible.
Starting point is 02:33:45 Now I was lucky, lucky that Jeremy Allen had sent me a Dell 3080 Slimline computer and he loaded Windows 10 on it and he took out all the bloatware and it really was very kind of him. He sent it with a keyboard and mouse and some green tipped armor piercing the shells. Some rounds, the usual stuff that you send in
Starting point is 02:34:17 along with an ankle holster, all the stuff you need. So I spent Saturday rebuilding everything from scratch. I mean, I have all the data. I have all of our clips and then my show prep and all that stuff. But I had to rebuild the whole play out system, this thing called M-AirList. And over the years I'd done a lot of custom configuration.
Starting point is 02:34:39 And what I, as I was doing clips, and this is from yesterday, I was, and that's what I think happened here to make a long story even longer, I was running it through the Rodecaster, and the Rodecaster just hooks into the Windows sound system. And now I understand why you sound so good all of a sudden, is because stock somehow recognizes two of these sound cards in the Rodecaster as like headphone
Starting point is 02:35:08 interfaces for Skype or something like that. And it automatically selects those and puts all kinds of sound enhancements on it. And it wasn't until this morning when I'm like, I'm clipping, I'm like, this sounds like crap, what is going on here? And then, and I finally dig into it, you know, the actual sound, sound control panel, which is from windows three, the pops up. And you click on these drivers and in there it's like, Oh, Oh, well you look at that.
Starting point is 02:35:37 It has all kinds of sound enhancements preselected for your convenience. And I've that probably was always always, you sound so good today compared to years, years, literally years, because I figured this one small thing. I had to dial down your low end everything. It's amazing what this has done. Now that I've figured it out. Now I gotta go listen to this show?
Starting point is 02:35:59 Is that what you're telling me so I can hear myself? Please, whatever you do, don't listen to our show. I mean, that would be horrible. That would just, that would just. I'm Please, whatever you do, don't listen to our show. I mean, that would be horrible. That would just, that would just... I'm doing the show. I usually don't listen to it. Sad news came across my desk yesterday. Breaking news to tell you about.
Starting point is 02:36:13 Fitness guru, Richard Simmons has died. Simmons just turned 76 years old yesterday. In a post on X Friday, he said he received numerous birthday wishes and was responding to many emails Simmons was best known for his aerobic exercises and uplifting spirit He rose to fame in the 70s and 80s and established several gyms across the country while starring in and producing energy fitness videos That's a loss
Starting point is 02:36:43 Yeah, well, it makes you wonder about fitness. Have you ever met him? No, I haven't. You have you? Yeah, yeah. He did some shifts. There was a time at MTV when they would always bring in guest VJs, which the regular VJs kind of detested.
Starting point is 02:37:00 It's like, you know, Paul Prevenza was there every week. Paul Prevenza on MTV. Not funny. Ever. You know, they tried to, they tried to shtick. He resented it. We resented it. Paul Prevenza, Judy Tunuda and emo. Like, ah, them again. Yeah. So Richard Simmons. I did meet emo. He's actually pretty smart.
Starting point is 02:37:28 He is exactly the way he portrays himself. That's not an act. Gilbert Gottfried, there's another one. Gilbert Gottfried was, oh man, oh he did so many guest VJ shifts. It was annoying because it devalued, like, oh well any douchebag can do this apparently. I guess it's true. This is a little inside baseball here. We're getting a little of the long-term simmering complaint. Yeah, and then we get preempted by Monty Python and Beavis and Butthead. I mean, it was horrible, John.
Starting point is 02:37:57 It was a grind. It was rough. It was tough to be a VJ. They shed good-looking hair. Yeah. And another person who passed away yesterday, Shannon Doherty from Beverly Hills 90210. How old was she? She was very old.
Starting point is 02:38:14 No, she was young. I think she was in her early 50s and she had horrible, horrible cancer. Turbo cancer? No, no, she had cancer for quite a while. Tina met her, she came, when Tina was working at the store here, she would come in and... She lived down there? I think she had a house around, somewhere in Hill Country or in Texas, maybe Houston. That's a long haul.
Starting point is 02:38:41 Well, it was a good store. Let me see. More Death Watch stories, no? I'm sorry? I got a Death Watch story kind of in advance. A Death Watch story. Okay. Let's play this.
Starting point is 02:38:58 This is the Mexico port. So we talked about China earlier. Let's talk about them some more. Navy leaders in charge of Mexico's largest shipping ports say they are seeing an increase in unregulated dual use chemicals. The same chemicals that are used in food and medicine production can also be used
Starting point is 02:39:15 in producing meth and fentanyl. The naval officers say the majority of these chemicals are coming from communist China. Mexican naval officers say close to 60% of the shipping containers that enter the country each day come to the Manzanillo port. When the containers arrive, officers say only about 2% of the contents are inspected. In total, only about 10% of the ships that dock at the port are physically searched. They note a full search is conducted if they get tipped off about illegal cargo.
Starting point is 02:39:48 The head of the port says due to its location, the Manzanillo port is ideal for transporting cargo to North America, South America and Asia. According to US drug enforcement officials, Mexico has long been the source of most of the fentanyl that comes into the US. Within the last few years, Mexican drug cartels have stepped up exports of meth to Australia, the Netherlands, and China. For the first time, Mexico is listed as one of the world's top producers of meth. Meth! That's according to the UN's Office of Drugs and Crime Report for June.
Starting point is 02:40:25 The port commander is raising concerns about the increase of the dual-use chemicals. He says international cooperation is needed to help regulate the transport of these chemicals. It's amazing. You buy a strip of 12-ivermectin from Mexico and the US Postal Service stops it right away and sends you a nasty note, but this, no problem. Just send it through. I take it you tried this shipping some ivermectin from Mexico.
Starting point is 02:40:54 Many people have had this stop from Mexico, yes. In port kind of and shipping news, the pier in Gaza is shutting down. Tonight, this $230 million problem plagued pier built to provide desperately needed aid to Gaza will soon cease operations. Built by the US military on President Biden's order, the pier has been operational only about 20 days since its completion in May due to technical issues and rough seas that the pier could not handle. We were on the pier just weeks ago. Seeing the destruction of Gaza behind me makes you realize how important humanitarian missions
Starting point is 02:41:40 are to get food into Gaza, but it is also obvious how difficult it is on this floating pier. You feel it go up and down, you can hear the clanging as well. Despite the massive price tag and the forced shutdowns, the Pentagon called it a success today with the head of USAID saying enough food has been delivered to Gaza to feed 450,000 people for a month.
Starting point is 02:42:08 But it is unclear how much aid actually reached the people after it crossed the pier. Those Palestinians whose situation grows more dire every day, the UN saying famine has spread throughout Gaza. So let me get this straight. $320 million peer that doesn't work and already floated off, have it floated off already. And this is considered a success by the Pentagon? It would have been more successful if it had cost half a billion. It wasn't believable.
Starting point is 02:42:44 It wasn't enough. I'm still watching out for the downturn in AI. if it had cost half a billion. It wasn't. Unbelievable. It wasn't enough. I'm still watching out for the downturn in AI, although I think Darren O'Neill's success with his art is a good indicator. ChatGPT, secretly developing a new type of AI, reports Reuters. Oh, brother. Project Strawberry.
Starting point is 02:43:05 Yes. The way Strawberry works is a tightly kept secret. Even within OpenAI itself. The source, a reporter to Reuters, said the project involves a special way of processing an AI model after it has been pre-trained on extensive data sets. Its aim is to enable artificial intelligence to not just generate answers to queries, but to plan ahead sufficiently to conduct so-called deep research by navigating the internet autonomously and reliably.
Starting point is 02:43:39 That'll be the day. What could possibly go wrong? Reuters said it had reviewed an internal open AI document detailing a plan for how the US firm could deploy strawberry to perform research. Googling, basically. However, the agency said it was not able to establish when the technology will become available to the public. It's a work in progress.
Starting point is 02:44:02 And that brings me to Boots on the ground. You are curious about the Nvidia GB 200 scientific computing chip. And yes, and we have a producer just to give him his give you some background on him. He's been doing performance optimization for scientific computer codes for 15 years, worked for an optimized scientific computing models for Department of Defense, Department of Energy, academia and industry, led a team that was part of the design and delivery of the Frontier supercomputer at Oak Ridge National Lab, optimized scientific computer models for many fields such as weather forecasting, climate
Starting point is 02:44:41 modeling, that's where you stumbled on that one, nuclear physics, acoustics and more. And he says, listening to episode 1673 about the NVIDIA GB200 super chip, the clip has somebody claiming that the new Blackwell chip will be great for scientific computing, especially for CFD. What was that again? The flow computations? CFD, I forget what it was. Computerized flow diagram? I think that's it.
Starting point is 02:45:13 Scientific computing still almost exclusively uses FP64, double precision floating point for calculations. The Blackwell chip has FP64 performance of 90 teraflops, which is only a 25% increase over the H100 GPU. The memory bandwidth of the Blackwell chip is double that of the H100, which can have a large impact on performance. However, the amount of increase is not unexpected
Starting point is 02:45:38 for a new generation of hardware and isn't better than what Nvidia competitors are offering. Maybe the person in the video was excited about the NVL72 system, but even that isn't particularly novel. As someone who's been deeply ingrained in optimized performance of scientific computing codes for some of the largest and fastest high performance computing systems in the world, I can confidently say that those of us in high performance computing who actually understand how hardware impacts application performance are pretty underwhelmed
Starting point is 02:46:05 by the utility of the latest Nvidia products. What? Yeah. Not to mention. Now I'm intrigued. Not to mention the fact that the cost of Nvidia hardware is so high that the performance per dollar of Nvidia for scientific computing is not good. Many people still purchase new Nvidia hardware for scientific computing, but that's because they have already ported their models to CUDA, CUDA, and don't want to invest the resources porting the other software to other alternatives. So according to our boots on the ground here,
Starting point is 02:46:40 not that impressive. Well, just based on the tone of that note, I have to probably assume, I will assume, that he knows what he's talking about. Short Nvidia. Well, good luck with that. Not advice. Not advice and don't do it.
Starting point is 02:46:59 And then finally, for you, we all know the Vorak's law of, what is your law about the economy and the economic downturns? Yes. Can you explain it again? Yes. When the economy starts to fail, the hookers get better looking and are cheaper. So this article from, let me see, a hairdresser in New York, she says, we've all heard that she says strippers are the first people to know when the economy is getting bad. She doesn't really complete the model, but she says, as a hairstylist, I have my own
Starting point is 02:47:42 theory. This is a new economic theory from hair. Okay. When girls start going natural or getting more lowlights, getting smudge roots, that's how we know. It's not just because they don't have enough money for maintenance, but they also don't have enough time to come to the salon and get their highlights touched up every four weeks because they're working or they're stressed or busy.
Starting point is 02:48:05 And she says, game on, economy is down because of the hair theory. No, she says the economy's down? It's going down, yes, she says going down. But wait, it sounds to me as though she's saying the women are busy and don't have time to do all this work on their hair, so thus the economy should be going up
Starting point is 02:48:24 because they're busy, they're keeping busy. They're working should be going up. No, they're working three jobs. That's what they're working on. On the street corner. That's probably what's happening. She needs to bring this. She needs to flesh this out, as it were. OK, I'll see if I can give you an update soon. I'm gonna show my support by donating to No Agenda. Imagine all the people who could do that. Oh yeah, that'd be fab.
Starting point is 02:48:46 Yeah, on No Agenda in the morning. Value for value, thanks going out to our supporters who came in $50 and above. We will read your note. Starting point is 03:03:18 It's like a party We always like to choose our ISO material The last little clip that we play at the end of every single show, and I have, I only have two today. Did you come in with any at all? I defer to your two. Oh man. I'm worried about.
Starting point is 03:03:35 One of them should be good. Well, I'm afraid. Let's see what we got. I really want to tuck into that beef cheek. No, see, there's no good. Wow, it's poor showing today. Holy crap, what was he thinking? That's all I got. Okay, I'm the winner. Thank goodness. The world's gone mad, but don't you worry, it's time for a tip of the day with Kevin Curry. Oops, I got no tip. It's John's tip of the day. John, I hope that you had time to bring
Starting point is 03:04:05 us a tip of the day. Everybody loves them. I do have a tip of the day. Good. If people want to collect some art for the wall, don't buy a poster or anything, go to BenGarrison.com. The cartoonist, Ben Garrison, he's like a conservative cartoonist. Oh, he's good. And he sells very, they're actually pretty big prints of any cartoon you want that he does
Starting point is 03:04:28 and they're well produced. These are good looking prints, believe me. I bought two of them and he'll sign them and you can have him put something on there like I had him sign one of them for the best podcast in the universe signed Ben Garrison. Really? That's gonna be worth money someday.
Starting point is 03:04:48 What does that cost? What are his prices? Well, the prices vary, but you can get most of them for 44 bucks. Wow, what's the size? It's 11 by 17, something like that. It's not small. They're fairly decent size.
Starting point is 03:05:04 They're decent size. I don't have the exact measurements. That's a deal. You can also buy original art, but the original it's not small. They're fairly decent size, they're decent size. I don't have the exact measurements. You can also buy original art, but the original art's too expensive. Just buy one of these prints, he'll sign it, put something on there, hello Bill, or whatever you want. And then make sure to mention the No Agenda show. If your name is Frank, get one with hello Bill.
Starting point is 03:05:20 That's beautiful. You can do that. But make sure you mention that you heard it on No Agenda show show because I think he should be listening to this show even though I bought prints from him. I'm absolutely sure he doesn't listen. But he should. And 10% off if you use code BONGINO. There's no 10% off deal.
Starting point is 03:05:39 This has been your Tip of the Day. Thanks for listening. Y'all come back now, you hear? There you go, come back now, you hear. We would like to have you come back on Thursday. I'll have my gear sorted out for sure. I got some work to do. And you are in luck if you're listening live right now
Starting point is 03:06:00 because we have bowl after bowl coming up. Sir Spencer and Dame DeLorean, always a pleasure. And end of show mixes, David Keck, checks in, Ty Robinson, Professor Jay Jones, and Tom Starkweather, yes the melodious owl himself brings it to you. Keep calm everybody, no agenda on, it's all going to be okay. We will have a lot more to deconstruct for you on Thursday as more information becomes available. Remember, boots on the ground, clips, anything you find, never hesitate to send it to us. That's why you're producers of the No Agenda show.
Starting point is 03:06:39 Coming to you from the heart of the Texas Hill Country, right here in Fredericksburg, Texas, FEMA Region Number 6. In the morning everybody, I'm Adam Curry. And from Northern Silicon Valley where I remain, I'm John C. Dvorak. We will be back on Thursday right here. Same bat time, same bat space. Remember us at NoAgendaDonations.com. Until then, adios, mo foes, a hooey hooey, and such. I missed you.
Starting point is 03:07:10 Bomb assets to make sure that those were cleared by four investigators to move safely in the area. We're still working on, it's still an active crime scene, so I'm not gonna say that the scene is 100% clear at this time. There's no secret service needed here. The secret service wasn't available for the press conference. So I'm not going to say that the scene is 100% clear. It's just a......secret service. We should hear it. The secret service wasn't available for the press conference. But the idea...
Starting point is 03:07:31 ...the idea... ...is sick. It's sick. The people... ...and now we have more detail to come. That's it! That's it! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH miss me. Now it's 10 o'clock tonight breaking news, former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump rushed off the stage after being shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania
Starting point is 03:07:56 this afternoon in what is now being called an assassination attempt. The 45th president is posting on his Truth Social platform this evening that a bullet grazed his right ear. Missed me. But the IBD, the ID, the sick head, I'm sick. The Secret Service wasn't available. It was rather chaotic at that point. Half the people were looking because they thought it was fireworks.
Starting point is 03:08:12 I knew it was gunshots. Missed me. With the understanding that the diverse and diverse people in the United States are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going
Starting point is 03:08:20 to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones that are going to be the ones thought it was fireworks. I knew Wisconsin was going to start crying. Miss me. With the understanding that the diversity of this community, as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.
Starting point is 03:08:39 Who is your favorite fearless hero when you're unique techniques stir right from a taco? You'd have to be loco to adopt the doctor and think she was rude to... ...Wenny's soul Who in their right mind would reduce you to your mutable characteristics And see you as their statistics? Our noble ruling class would never be crass and they would never treat you like an ass Whipping you to a frenzy of a ghost in the dark?
Starting point is 03:09:02 Your brain's put into a tizzy as you start to see something start Through the cognitive dissonance At least we know we can rely on our favorite fearless hero We can rely on old Joe to never say something racist And Corn Pop was a bad dude And he ran a bunch of bad boys But I tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump Then you ain't black Miss a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black.
Starting point is 03:09:26 Miss a shot, you get shot. It sounded like there were six, seven shots to start with. Coming from behind the bleachers. Saw the man tit in the head. Then I thought I heard another couple rounds. Felt like it was behind me, but I... A lot of blood. Nobody's ever walked off that quarter line.
Starting point is 03:09:40 Very confusing initially. It's like with Kennedy. I couldn't quite tell where it was coming from. Miss a shot, you get shot. What was going through your mind as you heard, gunfire, get down, get down. All you gotta do is make 10 points. And then we heard a different caliber gun.
Starting point is 03:09:54 Very confusing initially. I thought it was a firecracker. No three point boost. Go through magnetometers, your bags are searched. I'm not shocked that this happened. And then we heard a different caliber gun. Miss a shot, you get shot. Took a gunshot wound to the head.
Starting point is 03:10:06 Everyone seems very angry. Go through magnetometers, your bags are searched. What was going through your mind as you heard, gunfire, get down, get down? I'm not shocked that this happened. Nobody's ever walked off that quarter line. Look, what I said was, I hadn't a head in this thing, I beg your pardon?
Starting point is 03:10:27 What the hell are we doing? Be nice, David. What are we doing? Look, I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president. None of you thought that would happen. My numbers are better than Israel. Both China, North Korea, Russia, Iran, in my state of Delaware, from Wisconsin to North Carolina, anyway, in Russia, I mean, in China.
Starting point is 03:10:53 By the way, how accurate does anybody think the polls are these days? And by the way, is Putin ready to talk? I'm not ready to talk to Putin. I'm prepared to talk to any leader who wants to talk, including if Putin call me and wanted to talk. Hadn't I had anything? I'm determined on running, but I think it's important that I lay fears. I see, let them see me out there. Let me see them out, you know.
Starting point is 03:11:21 Hadn't I had anything? I beg your pardon. What do you hear now from mainstream economists? Are you safer? Is your family safer? So if I slow down, I can't get the job done. That's a sign that I shouldn't be doing it.
Starting point is 03:11:38 But there's no indications of that yet. None. I haven't done anything. I beg your pardon. I'm not doing that yet. No. I haven't had anything. My bigger part. The best podcast in the universe. To vorac.org slash NA. Holy crap, what was he thinking?
