and shit like that. For those who don't know, I was making beats for quite a long time. And that's kind of how I broke into the music industry. I was making a shitload of beats, man. And we was cracking millions back then. We was cracking millions of views shit. But I'm just you being a producer. Off of me just being a producer.

You know what I'm saying? Millions of you were just cracking them like that. And then after that, you know what I'm saying? My cousin got jet, he went to jail for life and shit. You know what I'm saying? He got Kyle. He went to jailed for life. He was the one like rapping.

Like he was like me making the beats and he was rapping. And everything else I was doing was outside for different people and shit. Yeah. And then after that, like, my brother Smoky is like, man, you got to start rapping. You got to get on the mic type shit. And it all kind of, like, gradually just happened because I wasn't really, like, serious about it. And I really, man, I was just fucking off. Like, I really didn't have no confidence and shit.

I was just kind of like, you know, I was rapping all about the head right then. Yeah. Like, if you notice now, like, motherfuckers know where I'm from because my tats, and they know where my videos are at and shit. You know what I'm saying? My videos, like, some of my first videos were shot at, but. You know, like, I don't really, I don't gang bang on the tracks and shit. Like, I don't be like, you know, this is, you're early on your career for sure.

Because early on in your career, you consider yourself chick on a rap? I guess, yeah, I mean, yeah. Obviously, the beats were different. Well, we always wrapped over, like, the beats I was making were always different. I would make, like, like, like, trap shit? Trapped shit, you know what I'm saying? So it was always different. We always had the different swag.

Like, my swag never changed and shit. Now, most definitely. I mean, I didn't really know about you until, I would say, like, 2018, 2019 is, and that's probably when you left AK, it's probably when you left AK-47. Yeah, yeah, right there. And I think that's when you started really pushing the individuality where you were, like, making like, like, you have that one song where you talk about your life and your hummies.

And then you kind of started pushing more of the trap shit, the rap shit. A little more swaggy. It was just a little more swag here. I just came out of myself. It was being, like, producing and rapping at the same time. Because when I was over there, I was producing and rapping, we came up with a whole sound. And that whole sound was that whole sound was that, you know what I'm saying? Yeah.

Was that shit with, you know, with old boy and that crew. You know what I mean? And then after that, I'm from. Pomona, I have a different, I have a different swag. I have a different kind of demeanor by myself, you know what I'm saying? When we, you know, growing up in Pomona. So when I was, when I branched off on my own, I was able to show that shit more, you know what mean?

Kind of like the beat-town type. Beat selection. Yeah, beat selection, you know what I'm saying? And that's where the name drummer boy comes from, right, from you making beats? Yeah, yeah. It was, you know what? It was Tripp, it was like we had a studio, like we built out a studio out there like in Upland, and then- like in the I.E type of shit. Yeah, we built out of studio right there and a lot of the LA scene was going over there. So a lot of the early, you know what I'm saying? Like, like, food's that

But I still know, and even we're talking about, because I don't like talking about everybody, but like the homie, like, oh, so vicious and people that were doing it over there, you know what saying? They're from LA, they're from, like, you know, Baldwin Park from different spots and shit. But they were the ones that first started buzzing and shit. That's how I made I icon in that shit too. How is it doing everything? Obviously, you've been independent for a while.

Yeah. Obviously, you were assigned to a, I guess you could say an independent label before. Yeah. And obviously you know what's that one? Empire. You were with Empire, but before that, because you're with Empire now. I'm with Empire. Well, I was with Empire on the label side.

On the label side. Yeah, I was with Empire on the label side for about two years. For about two years. That was good. And then they came back. they came back to now, you know, because I told you I took that break and shit. So they came back and, you know, they put a check on the table and I was like, yeah, that's looking nice.

But what I just did was I signed a distribution deal with them. So, you know, I didn't say no bread. I was like, let's just get straight distribution because my plan is a sign artist like I did.
