No jumper, coolest podcasts on the world, and we're burning the midnight oil.
We're in here late tapping in with Lil Reese.
For sure.
As well as returning guests, the one and only Tate Savage.
Know that.
No, you be where Recy and New.
What's you guys up to?
What are you doing rolling around L.A.?
Which is cool.
I had to do a little photo shoot for a clothing brand RTA, so I came out to do that.
And I have to take care of some money.
So how come you guys are always moving around together?
What's the relationship here?
That's my boy.
That's my boy, though, for sure.
I hear he's kind of crazy.
Ain't crazy.
He doesn't made me too many times.
You know I ain't crazy.
I don't know.
There's two different versions of Tay Savage.
There's the peaceful Taste Savage,
and then there's the music Tay Savage.
That's a little different.
Yeah, yeah.
The Push and Peace Taste Savage does not necessarily align with the music
Tay Savage, right?
Yeah, that's two different people.
Yeah, that is.
Which one do you know?
I know both of them.
Uh-huh.
I know both of them, man.
Gotcha.
All right, so let's just get into it.
Let's start from the beginning in terms of the Lil Reese story.
Come on, let's do it.
All right, so tell us a little bit about where you were born and your upbringing.
I'm from Chicago.
I'm really from, like, the Kiamet building.
It's a project that was up across the screen from,
whole block. I'm sure they already know that though. I said this like a hundred times.
I went to Walter Reed. You got kicked out of Walter Reed, the kindergarten. Then I went to
Parkman on 51st in Princeton. After I went to the parkman, I went to a school in Sircon.
Then I don't remember no more after that. I went to high school, CVS, Lincoln Park, shit like that.
What was your high school experience like? You were a good kid?
It was good for a minute
And this shit started getting bad
I ain't gonna lie
What was getting bad
Like everything
Like
You couldn't even get on the bus no more
And go to school
So I had to buy a car
I bought a car
My freshman year
What kind of car?
It was a little
bastard-ass car
I paid like $2,000 for it
Yeah
This was before you took DJU's bike
No I took his bike
Before that door
So that's a real story
Yeah that's a real story
It's dead
used to work in the Kite Man building.
But the one that you brought on the show was fake?
No, that was a real bike.
That was the bike.
I found that.
Just kept it?
I went in the garage.
I went in the garage and pulled that in the house.
Okay.
So what really started happening once they kind of, once you, like, started getting a little bit older and stuff that made it so crazy?
I don't know.
I mean, the real got to getting crazy.
I mean, people got the dying that you was close with.
So it was like a lot of things got the chain.
For sure.
Who was the first person you lost that kind of shook you?
My homie Limo.
My homie name Limo.
Hell yeah.
Right.
That's the first thing I lost.
And what was that like for you as a kid?
That was crazy.
I was like 15.
I think he was like 16.
So I don't know what that was crazy as hell.
So Moe from like the Calumet Building?
Or where are you from?
No, Lippo was from, he was from Sircon.
And then he had came over time.
Then he was with us.
for sure so who was the crew at that time when you were in high school or is it like anybody that we're familiar with now
um i mean yeah hell yeah basically yeah like i used to be around back then like that i used to be around
sosa but then you know g money yeah from um no limit he used to be with me and then it used to be fredo
i used to be around no limit manski all them same people though what were you guys listened to at that time
us, our music, the music we was making.
Okay.
Hell yeah.
So who was the first one to actually start making music?
Damn, that's a good question.
I feel like everybody would start doing it around the same time.
Like when it started getting popping in,
and we started seeing like that what was going on,
we started doing it all at the same time.
Right.
So who you guys listening to that, like, motivated you, though,
that got you excited about music in the first place?
Each other.
I really was listening to each.
I wasn't listening to them.
We weren't really like listening to rappers
growing up like
because the rappers that was growing up
they weren't like our age
so it was like we weren't really listen to them.
Right.
But you guys weren't you guys
Dipset fans?
I mean,
because that's what Fredo Santana comes from
is Joel Santana, right?
Fredo was in the older though.
Oh, yeah.
That's why he was like into dipset
and all them and type of.
But we knew what they was
like we always hear their music as shit
like Jewel Santana
and J.R. Ritter
and all them and Cameron and all of them.
We had hit a shit, but it's like, I don't know, but Fredo was, like, really a fan of him.
Like, that's why he named his name after, like, Fredo Santana.
Right.
He named after Jewel Santana.
So Fredo used to really be on that time.
He used to be wearing bandana.
He was different, though.
He was always different.
Right, definitely.
Okay, so were you guys hanging out at O'block at that time?
Was that, like, where you were at, like, every day, like, on average?
Sometimes we would be out there because that's where we grew up in the shit.
So it was, like, we always came back.
with our people.
Right, definitely.
So, okay, when did you start realizing that, like, you guys were gaining hype, like,
just on a local level, like, before I popped off on YouTube and everything like that?
Like, when we got the, when we made a song called, like, Rob Kill,
and then Sosa made a song, and I don't know it was just, like,
we was looking at the views, and we was doing, like, 100,000 views in the day,
shit like that like that.
And we never did that time.
So that made us, like, think, like, just, like, just,
keep going, keep going. That's what we
was doing, putting out more music and more of music.
Until that shit,
came from our hood
and introduced us to somebody
like over the labels, like
the president of the labels like that.
We took it from there, came out to Cali.
They didn't have a lead.
So some of them still living on.
Because you signed your deal before, Jeeke. Yeah, I came out
and saying my shit before him. Hell yeah.
So how was that like? So the labels just
reached out to you because they seen what the impact
y'all was having already?
One of the president of the labels was from Chicago,
so it's like he was watching Chicago,
the shit that was going on in Chicago,
and the person who introduced us to him was from Chicago,
so it was like, it really was a Chicago name.
Wait on there.
It was just hype from, like, a lot of people
kind of going on at the same time.
Yeah, it was like some Chicago.
Like, you know, it's like,
you and meet somebody from Chicago that's in the position,
and then somebody from around your way,
know the person who went a position.
He just introduced us to him.
That's how I took off from now.
And it was Dev Jam, right?
Yeah, Dev Jam.
Yeah, yeah. Did Dirk sign a Dev Jam too? Or was just you?
No, me and Dirk. We signed a new ID.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, no ID at the time.
Definitely.
Is it true, like,
because there's this, like, picture of you that claims that you're throwing up BD
and you're three years old? Is that real,
or is that just you making a random hand signal as a kid?
No, that's real.
That's real.
You just had, like, family members that thought it was funny to get a three-year-old to do that?
I don't know why they made me do that. I don't know why they made me do that.
It was some people I was around.
I was just around some older guys.
They made me throw a Biddy.
I was young as I was young as hell, like three years old throwing a bit of
Biddy.
Do you approve of that?
Or do you think that that's a little out of line
to be having a three-year-old doing that?
I don't know, because I ain't going to let my son do no like that, though,
you know, so I really don't.
Like the Dinnah probably is kind of normal,
especially not going up in the Bitty Project.
Yeah, and I was all right.
Yeah, I don't.
They looked at me like I was their son, so.
They used to make me shoot dice or all type of shit.
For real.
When's the first time that they let you hit the blunt?
like 10. I was smoking now, so it's like, I don't need you matter. I was like 10 years old
when I first started smoking. Do you think that's, is that acceptable or is that low?
My mom and them didn't know, though. Like, I was sneaking and doing that shit. Like, running through
the projects and shit, getting help with my little crew, crew of gas while I was around.
So how did you even originally meet, uh, Cheekeef anyway? Like, where I build your relationship
about? Outside, like, like, running around as bad ass kids and shit. Like, my family, you know his
family type shit.
I always used to see him and shit.
Like, what age is this you think?
11.
And Dirk around two at this time, Fredo?
Let me see.
Fredo was, yeah, Fredo was from Seas and Indiana.
Dirk had came from, like, like, by dog pound, which was, like, down the screen from
us.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, and so once you guys really get popping with the music, like, how does that kind
to begin to change the dynamic, like, in terms of just you guys being friends or whatever.
Did it kind of have everybody just going in different directions and shit because everybody's
experiencing success?
What did you say?
Say it again?
I'm not say it again, bro.
I'm looking at this phone.
Somebody was texting me and shit.
No, it's all good.
Once you guys started to really experience success like that, did that, like, immediately
start to change things because you guys had just been kicking it on some regular shit for years,
and then all of a sudden everybody's getting different opportunities.
What was that experience like for you as a young guy?
It ain't changed nothing because everybody, like, once, like, Safe is like, once they see me get my opportunity, it motivated social to go get his opportunity quick.
Man, like, Fredo was like, I ain't going to do nothing.
I'm going to be independent.
I want to see what independent being like, I want to just see what independent feel like, and that's what he did shit.
But it motivated everybody, though, really like, like, Save is, I'm with you every day.
And I see you go get $250,000, $250,000.
You think I ain't gonna try to do the same thing
When I know I can do it
That shit motivated them
You signed your deal before y'all dropped
I don't like court
No, I signed my deal
Right after we dropped
I don't like
I had one song
When I signed my deal
Only one song got
So all right
Where the fuck y'all shoot that video at?
In this crib in the hundreds
The crib we used to be at
I only had one song got
When I signed my deal
So you know that shit
That shit be crazy
You don't really gotta
Put too much music out
Yeah yeah
So break down the day
When y'all shot the I don't like
video
Because that's like a legendary music
video like what was the vibes like you knew it would be that we know we know we didn't think it was but
I mean when we did the shit I knew it was going to be hard so I'm like I don't think we'll do it
shoot the video so the next day we shot the video and shit it went viral shit I knew it was going
to be hard to see though I told them like let me get on the song I got on in this I got to get on
how fast like the success came behind that song right then enough so it was an instant instant
yeah instant that shit was instant and that was your first taste of like all right this shit
gonna work. No, it actually was
Sosa shit popped off
like bang. We did the band.
And then he had to, it was like the momentum on that.
The momental that and that.
But we already make him real. It was like, let's do a drill.
I made it like, let's do a drill, all type of shit.
So the momentum was really building, bro.
That shit was a builder, building, building, building.
Then when we did, I don't like, it pushed us through the dough.
When Kanye did the, I don't like, remix,
were you on board with hating on it?
No, no, I just was real.
I just wanted to know like, damn.
Waheen, like, put my part on that type of shit.
And I'm from Chicago, and you're from Chicago.
You know what I'm saying?
Have you ever talked to him asked him that?
No, hell, no.
I ain't ever talked to him asking that.
But I'm sure he heard about me saying that I didn't even know he noticed it.
He probably can't even remember that part of his life.
How many years younger are you in terms of?
Like three years.
Okay.
So you were just looking at Reese and all them as like the older guys in the neighborhood
or what?
Whatever?
Yeah, they're the older guys.
Stop it, boy.
You're all right.
Yeah, that's a big bro.
Stop it, boy.
What?
Wait, you're older than him?
He older than me.
Damn, I didn't even realize that.
Yeah, that's a little bro.
Damn.
That's a little big bro.
Are you really three years older than?
What you was, Reese?
You're like, I'm 34.
Oh, no.
So I'm like two years.
Oh, okay.
So what was your perspective when you saw them popping off?
He wasn't even rapping anything.
He wasn't even rapping anything.
I was trying to think about him.
I was locked up.
Oh, I was locked up.
But before that, before that, though,
before that, you weren't rapping?
But everybody was telling me like, bro, you should rap, you should rap.
The fuck.
That shit was kind of hard, though.
I'm like, bro, I can't.
Like, I got a million stories.
It's easy and that, though.
What, just making music in general?
Yeah, because it's like, we got a million stories to tell,
but it's like, it's hard to put it and make it make sense to a motherfucker.
It'd be like, okay.
Right.
But wasn't it originally DJ Ken,
who you guys were getting beats from and shit?
I don't even know what it is.
DJ Ken, yeah, that's what we used to fuck with.
He gets left out the story a little bit.
Yeah, DJ Ken, that's crazy.
DeJ.
He actually was, like, though, when they started.
Dezay Ken, we used to sleep in his house.
Really?
They make music all day.
Then go nowhere, kick it in this house.
Bring a thousand people in this house.
So he's somebody that played a big part.
And where did he live at?
He lives on, like, on Blackgate or something somewhere in that?
He on 50th, like on 54th in, back Garfield right there.
That's what we used to be at.
Who discovered on Chalk?
was working with Chopp first.
Damn, who the fuck
discovered young Chopp?
That's crazy.
Actually, Young Chopp just
started coming to the studio
where we was,
and then we all was just like,
okay, it's a new producer,
let's try to pull some hits out of him.
And she, that's what we was doing.
Like, I was pulling hits out of him.
Fredo was pulling hits out of him.
Keith was pulling hits out of him.
Shit, everybody who was around
this was just trying to pull hits out of him
and we was doing that.
Yeah, also, like, at the time,
because I remember, like,
the famous task,
I always used to think band camp was the website.
So who was, you know, they used to know, band camp, yeah.
That was actually chop shit.
That was his crew, right?
That was, like, some shit he had made up, like,
as far as, like, producers.
Like, some shit he made up, really.
I also had, like, Bueller.
It was, like, Paris Bueller or something.
Yeah, that was, yeah.
All that shit was, like, in the same tree,
like, with the same producers.
There was, like, a producer chopbrod around,
shit like that.
Why y'all start fuck with D.G.
around the time
when D. Gaines
the Gaines actually shot
me and Dirk video
called Going in for the Kill
and then shit
I think Dirk discovered that man
Bro because I really ain't even
I ain't know no D. Gaines and no shit like that.
I did a D. Gaines interview a year or two ago.
Yeah.
Oh yeah?
Historic.
But okay
Okay so
once you guys really start blowing up though
like how does your life change in terms of
how you're moving around and shit
like you all of a sudden just feel like a celebrity
but you're still living in that area?
It ain't a lot.
It got the feeling different
because from being, like, who I was
to people that
running up trying to get pictures
and shit like that.
I don't know.
It was crazy.
Like, from being a regular person
to now use somebody,
people running up trying to get pictures
and want autographs.
Everybody asking for money
when anyone asks you for nothing.
Like, that shit be different.
Yeah, I ain't know.
So at the time, like,
I was heavy on, like, GBE.
Who would you consider, like, the original GV?
Because I know y'all got 300 GV and then OTF,
but at the time it seemed like,
it felt like y'all all were underneath the GBE umbrella.
It was really like, we all was really was under everything.
It was like, but it was just like,
certain people were like rapping doing this,
certain people rapping doing this,
and then you got some other people over there
that don't rap, and they did.
That's what we was doing.
So shit, we had the rappers in GBE,
and we had the rappers in OTF.
That's how we was doing it.
And who would you consider like the original GBE rapists?
It was just really, I really say like, shit, Keith, Frater and me, we really was like, the main people, like, you know, like, that was doing it.
It seemed like Dirk was G.B., but then he also always claimed LTF, but it was, you know.
It was like, we all was like, we all was like on some one shit, on the one type shit.
Everybody was, G.B. was claiming OTF and shit like that.
And then my first, OTA was, like, claiming GB, so you know how that shit was.
And then that's how y'all formed 300, like, winning that.
No, 300 been apart, like, 300.
was before GBN OTF.
That's what?
GBM OTF come from, 300.
See what I'm saying?
Yeah, so, like, who started 300?
Like, all right, fucker, we 300.
Shit, I don't know.
Some people, we was in the hood back then
a long time ago that motherfuckers
was high reading signs and shit.
300?
They came from the Spartans.
No, there ain't no Spartan.
No?
That's what I was supposed to.
This shit, we were saying
that shit before the Spartans, bro.
Really?
But that's a pretty hard-ass movie, though.
You can't never say.
You can't never say we want saying
that shit.
the Spartan. Look it up. When did Spartans come out? When did Spartans come out?
I've always thought the same thing to the... No, just look it up when Spirons come out.
I remember seeing that with a girl in maybe 2006.
We were doing this since 2003-02. In your face.
So nothing just in particular, it was just like, it was like the older guys were already going with it.
I don't know. I think it was like, because the shit that was going on, like it was, he had 600,
and then you had people come out 200. Yeah.
Then we came on some 300 shit then.
That's when a movie came out.
I'm like, damn, that's crazy.
Yeah.
I'm old.
Do you ever see it?
No, I never, I never watched that shit.
That's my favorite movie.
Yeah.
You never seen 300?
No, I ain't never seen that shit.
Wow.
Have you seen, like, the viral TikTok trend they got with your song?
Which one?
It's like the drink song where everybody gets a top.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I've seen that shit.
It was one nigga.
Yeah, like 40 cups with drink at the top of it.
I'm like, what the fuck?
They're tripping.
I'm definitely saying that shit.
Yeah, I know you had to see it, right?
I'm not saying that shit.
I don't got no TikTok, though, so it's like,
I don't be really seeing a lot of shit that's going on on TikTok.
You know one person that I interviewed that I wanted to get your side of the story is S-D,
who you guys were around early on.
Do you remember why you guys fell out?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
SD always, shit, was on his own shit, so you know how that shit go.
I don't know.
So, S-D wasn't like your homie.
He was just like a...
So-so, him, really.
But he's from like Blackgate.
Yeah, he was from Blackgate Way.
And that's where Ken's studio was.
Yeah, yeah.
So I think Sosa said that's how he kind of even know
or SD from the studio and shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's exactly what it is.
So when did like Tato and Ballout start coming around?
Tato and Ballout?
Actually, Tato was like folks' cousins, so he just started coming around.
And then Ballout was from the area, so he just started coming around.
Shit like that.
Okay.
It's ball out from oblock
Ballout really? Yeah, you from like O'block and 300 type shit
Got it
What'd you think when you saw me go to O'block?
Huh?
You're impressed?
Well, who were you?
Yeah.
I ain't see that.
You went to O'block?
Yeah, you know what I see that?
Stop lying.
He went to O'clock for her?
What was it?
Like two years ago?
Yeah, it gave all the time of shit.
Yeah, it was a great time.
I ain't ever see that shit.
I was out there was with Fredo Bang.
I got to do some research.
I ain't even going on my mom.
I ain't never see that shit.
You got research to do on that?
Oh, you're going to do it's like a nine minute YouTube video
Should be all right
Well, I gotta go see, bro
It's crazy because you got
I'm gonna do my research
And then your cousin
You gotta get your homework
His business partner
So what's up?
You and J-Man are really cousins
He'd be claiming y'all cousins for real
What's the real truth?
Man
You know that nigga ain't my cousin
You're just from the same building
Everybody from Project's family
You know that
That's a B though for real though
You know how they act like that, though, for real.
No, you know they act like that, though.
That's how they be, though.
Everybody from the president, that should be like family for real.
But you were actually, like, mad at him at first, right?
And are you kind of over it now?
I want to have a man.
I'm not just want to say to stop friend and shit.
You don't like being involved in it?
No, man, I don't like being involved in that type of.
No, because you had some angry tweets at me and him that, I believe, got deleted pretty quickly
in terms of, like, us just talking about you and shit.
I mean, he was trolling for a long-ass time even before talking about you.
You know, obviously, he had this whole OTF arc that's kind of like,
that's like vintage J-Main at this point because that was a couple years ago.
Man, I don't know, man.
I don't be really watching all that shit.
I don't be watching all that shit.
I'll watch some of the shit like when the fans are sent it to him like,
look at your cousin.
Oh, shit.
All right, so Trenching news was here the other day recently.
Y'all had Trenching News, huh?
Yeah.
And he said, I seen him where you was on DJU, you said a lot of shit that he said about you.
Yeah, be true sometimes.
Be true sometimes.
He knows some people that I know.
So he used to be around sometimes?
So you knew him when he was around?
Because we just had a T.HF Zoo on here.
And he was basically saying that he probably was around, but he didn't know who it was back in the day.
Yeah, that's how I go, though.
So a lot of people, he was around, but a lot of people probably didn't know where he was.
But I knew his face, though.
So, like, when I be seeing him, so on the internet doing that, I knew where he was.
Rimo saw him without the mask.
I didn't see him without it.
Yeah, that's crazy.
It did.
I'm still in the dark.
He said,
Bertrandes also said
that the famous Fredo in the cut line
came from you.
Yeah.
And came from you
and Fredo running in the F.R.B.
And he used to go.
He used to...
I ain't allowed to...
Man, that's why I used to be
running with all the time.
Ain't out of Fredo.
So you can't confirm or deny that story?
No, I don't know nothing about that.
J. Main allegedly used
an Oblockian woman
to as a human shield.
Does this sound familiar?
I don't know.
He told me to personally tell you that
that asked you that and he said
he was with you the day before
so he said you're going to know it's true
because y'all was hanging out
the day before type shit.
I'm trying to think.
He said J. Mann was in what?
Fredo was in me.
Jay Man said he was with y'all
the day before type shit
and then the next day
the famous Fredo on the cut line
happened.
I don't know, bro.
I ain't gonna laugh.
I really don't know.
I don't know.
I don't remember dope a shit.
That probably happened if he's saying that.
Yeah,
I definitely hung out and used to actually,
like, be friends.
He used to be around.
Yeah,
he used to be around.
Yeah, he used to be around.
For sure, he used to be around.
He used to be hanging with me all type of shit.
You already knew it?
Damn.
So you've seen so many shootings that you were allegedly involved in.
Bro, man.
I don't be trying to talk about all that crazy-ass shit,
man.
That shit be crazy as is it.
You think that it's fucked up for J-Man
to be basically making money off
telling these kind of stories?
It's all type of people doing all type of shit.
So it's like, I can't judge a nigga
what he's doing.
That's what's going on in the real nowadays.
That's how people get their money.
Right.
I mean, you're still rapping and shit,
but a lot of people from that era
are now like YouTubers or doing interviews
or doing, you know, all kinds of different shit.
Like, you respect the content creator hustle?
Yeah, yeah.
I respect whatever they're doing to get their money
because shit.
Can't nobody tell me what to do
how to get my money.
So it's like, why would I say something
about how a person doing
doing what they're doing to get their money.
I can't do that.
Would you spend $100 on a box of a whoops cereal?
Hell no.
Really?
I'm getting no business for free.
The fuck.
You're actually going to try to get some, though?
No, eat fruit loops.
You don't?
What kind of cereal are you eat?
He's about eating fruit loops.
What kind of cereal are you?
I eat Captain Crunch and shit like that.
Do you want to try some dirkyos?
Yeah, those business might be hard.
They might be.
The business might be odd.
We don't really know right now.
How to fuck V's? I'll get some...
Yeah, not V's from Detroit.
We got him up here too.
How to fuck he gets some cereal?
To be honest, they're both just like promo cereals.
I'm gonna get the smacks.
No, we got Dirkios and we got V's flakes,
which sounds kind of gross, honestly.
Like, flaking of like a skin or something.
Like, hopefully that's not the whole idea with the cereal.
Would you ever do a cereal brand?
Yeah, it depends on what can it is.
Probably like some cinnamon toast crunch type of cereal.
Everybody want to still eat
While fucking cereos
I'm still with seven toast crunch
What would you call it?
Ricios?
No, I ain't
It's too obvious
You're gonna do some other shit
Rees Flakes
Rees Flakes
Reefs
Reap Azotics
And some shit like there
When you were a kid
Was there ever a time period
Where you thought that
The Reese's Pieces cups
Were like named after you
Or?
Yeah, yeah
I used to think that
I used to be eating that shit a lot too
I mean they are hard
It's a big part of every kid's
childhood, I think.
A long time ago, I did, me, I'm like, damn, I'm like,
we might as well collab on something.
I'm doing Risi.
I'm like, man, we might as well collab on something.
We got the same name.
I got way more followers than y'all.
Right.
They ain't that of issue?
No, they ain't never hit me back.
They're not tuned in with the streets.
No.
I sold to them like, I got the same name, y'all.
It's a problem for a lot of candy companies.
You might as well collab on some shit.
Yeah.
Candy companies got to get in tune with the drill music.
So early on, you also had, like, so, like, I don't like, came out,
and then I remember you drop other.
You originally had it with just you,
and then I remember Rick Ross and Drake
hopped on the remix.
That's the best song ever.
Yeah, everybody was tweaking off that shit.
I definitely did that
with Ross and Drake back then.
I put Drake on it then.
He put Ross on it.
Well, that was his favorite rapper of all times.
That's kind of crazy.
So how did you and Drake get into it at that time?
Drake was actually
just like, we chopped him up.
He was telling me like he fuck with me.
He fucked with me.
Fredo.
Sosa.
Dirk, he was just telling me like he fucked with all us.
Basically, he was just telling me like he fuck with us and shit.
And then he was telling me, like, send him something.
I sent him that.
And he did it.
Yeah, I was just about to ask.
So it wasn't like an in-studio session.
No.
No, hell, no.
He went on in the studio shit.
Where were you at when you originally recorded, like, the first song?
I was actually in the hood in my bare room.
Damn.
So a lot of those songs you were recording just from the crib?
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, yeah.
I recorded that us from the crib.
But, like, traffic and shit, I record that at the studio.
But us, I recorded that in the crib in my beer room.
Like, I had chop to come over and just locked in.
Where is yon shop at right now?
I don't know.
I've been looking for his ass.
I ain't going to laugh, bro.
I've been looking all around trying to see where you've been there.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I'm going to find out, though.
Didn't he get shot on an Uber looking for 21 Savage?
Yeah, he went to Atlanta and then he went to, like, Timberton.
He got shot at?
Shot at.
They shot at the Uber.
The poor driver got involved in this.
A shootout?
I don't know if he shot back.
But he was on live, right?
He was on live, man.
He definitely...
What the fuck he was doing?
Tweaking out.
21 Savage.
I know you remember the whole...
Remember when young child was going on live, like, every day?
Then he actually...
He was doing so much shit at that time.
He just got that part.
Early on, you and Vaughn actually went live on him to tell him he was tweaking.
Yeah, I know.
That's why I'm saying.
I called him doing some goofy shit one time.
Yeah.
But he was...
At that time, I don't know.
I think he was having some problems mentally, but he was definitely...
So, y'all haven't...
No one heard from him?
Like, because I see his mom and brother,
Yeah, his mom, his mom, dad, and his brother,
but I ain't here from him in a long time.
I just really got out of jail, too,
so it's like, I ain't here from nothing that shit.
When's the last time you actually talked to Drake?
Was the last time I talked to Drake?
I don't know it's been a minute.
I ain't reached out to him or nothing, though, so, you know.
I ain't reach out to him and try to holl at him and shit.
I'm sure if I, like, reach out to him and shit,
he probably will fuck with him.
Yeah, you need a feature.
You do a song?
Well, of course you'll do a song.
Like, even the fans right now, they want to know,
like, when you're in dirt,
When y'all gonna do some new music?
See, whenever I feel like we're gonna link up,
whenever we link up and shit, we'll do something.
I ain't too pressed, though, to, like,
try to chase niggas down to do music with them, though.
That's what I ain't too pressed about.
Have you kind of, like, gone through periods of time
where you lost interest in doing the music?
Because I feel like Tay kind of brought you back
making a lot more music.
No, I always been, I do music all the time.
I'd be like, I just do it how I want to do it.
It's to the point where I could do it how I want to do it.
I ain't got to do too much.
I've been in this shit for so long.
Like, I just could do it how I want to do it now.
I ain't got to really force this shit.
Like, back then I was forcing it.
I ain't got really forcing no more.
I got people around me with household names and shit like that.
So it's like, I don't think I do.
It's just being me shit.
I'm not be forcing this shit no more.
So you still like completely independent?
Yeah, I'm independent.
I've been independent for like six years.
I seen, you said, like, when you was with Devcham,
something happened at the studio,
you had to pay all much of money.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what burned the relationship.
Really, though.
That's what I definitely did.
I let motherfuckers like fuck that little situation up.
Wait, what happened?
At the studio, it got trashed or something?
No, at the studio, it was like,
they ran the cameras back and shit.
They seen motherfuckers, like, fighting.
They seen motherfuckers walking around
with a whole bunch of guns through the studio and shit.
And then it was like a big glass.
You know, CRC?
You know, the studio we just said?
That big-ass glass, when you first come in,
that whole glass got busted.
I had to pay like $60,000 to get that shit fixed.
60? What the fuck?
I had to pay all that money to get that,
that first one, that first glass we go on CSC,
I had to pay all type of money,
then the bitch, ran her cup up the thing,
just a lot of shit going on.
Holes in that fighting, just a lot of shit going on.
It's crazy because even at the time,
because, you know, Chee Keefey had the big hit
with Wiz Khalifa and 50 cents.
Yeah.
He didn't even show us to the music video.
Like, were you pressing him?
Like, yo, we got to, you know what I'm saying?
No, I'm not one pressing him,
because he was going to do what he wanted to do.
It was like, he probably ain't want to do it shit.
But you couldn't tell him shit?
Yeah, if y'all would have told him, if I would have been around him at the time,
I told him like, bro, go stand on your business, go take out of that business.
He would have did it, but it's like, I went around him.
So he probably was somewhere half.
What type of head space she keeping?
Because even I know he's still a star in his own, but still like 50 cent.
And like, Wiz Khalifa was like at the time, the hottest in the game.
He's just going, man.
I don't feel like link with the niggas type shit.
I don't know.
Sosa just sosa, bro.
I'm going to be real, which is like he be in his own zone.
bro, it's like, he got a household name already, so it's like, he just be on his own type of time.
Shit.
You don't be really pressed about these niggas really, like, you know, be pressed about rappers and shit.
He ain't, he ain't never been like that, so that's why he don't be like that now.
When did you stop claiming GBE?
I'm always GBE.
I'm GBE for the niggas we lost.
I'm always GB.
But I'm 300, though.
That's how it always been.
Like, I'm GBE for Freedo, for all of them nigs.
For motherfucking.
service for all of them. I'm GBE for bro, no, for show. That shit gonna always be me, but I'm 300, though.
What was your relationship like with Fredo around the time that he passed? We was close
because he had just told me to come out there like three days before he died, and he's telling me, like,
he called me like, Reese. He didn't want to believe he just had him. I just had a siege,
all type of shit. He was just telling me, like, what was going on with him? And I was like,
I was like, I'm going to come out there. I'm going to come out there. And she had like three days ago,
it was like a Monday, and I was going to come out of him.
out there like Friday and like by that Wednesday he was dead and he had another season and shit
same shit he was telling me that was going on he had another one he had that
right yeah what was that like for the whole crew because that was like you know one of the
main guys with you and stuff to lose him it must have been fucking traumatic yeah that shit was
tough that shit fucked a lot of motherfuckers up yeah I remember being like pretty shocked and I know
I'm maybe kind of naive but I think I saw like an image from the funeral that you guys were
actually like pouring lean into the casket or whatever I don't know I
I seen that goofy-ass shit.
I don't know who was doing that.
Really?
So you didn't do that?
No, yeah, no, I don't do no goofy-ass shit like that.
Well, I thought that Sosa didn't know more.
No, Sosa ain't do that.
So, Sosa, ain't do that.
So-s-s-I don't do nothing like that.
So you think that's out of line in terms of mourning?
Yeah, I don't respect that shit.
I don't respect that shit.
I don't respect that shit, though.
Did you ever get into the lien?
No, I stopped doing Lien back then.
Like, I used to be doing that shit with Frito.
And that shit started making me feel a little funny.
So I, like, no, I don't want to do that.
Yeah, it's definitely a good lesson to learn early.
Yeah, yeah.
It was a long time ago.
I ain't never drinking no lean after the home drink,
I ain't drunk no lean in like 12 years.
You stopped smoking weed around then, too?
No, hell no.
I stopped smoking weed like two years ago.
Oh, okay.
What about pills and shit?
You're not into that anymore?
Like two years ago, three years ago.
I don't stop doing all that shit.
You know, drink none?
No, I drink liquor now.
I'd be getting fucked up now with the liquor sometimes.
I love liquor sometimes.
I ain't like, like liquor a eye nowadays.
But I'm on probation, so it's like
I really can't do too much.
So I get drunk in there and then.
So you can get drunk, but you can't smoke weed?
Yeah.
I really can't get drunk, but shit, sometimes I get drunk.
Wait, they test you for alcohol?
I don't know how that shit goes.
You're not supposed to be around alcohol.
Like, oh, I'm supposed to be at bars and shit like that
because I'm on probation.
You go to bars?
No, hell no.
If I go to a bar and I see Little Reese, I'm going to fucking pass out.
I'd be so surprised.
You were on probation from Texas or something?
Yeah.
You were in jail in Texas, right?
I'm in pro-basis for Houston.
Yeah.
I'm locked up in Houston.
Yeah, so explain, like, what was your life?
Like, how you get locked up caught up in Houston?
Fucking around, just tripping.
Back then, probably popped a perk of something after tripping.
So you got into a situation?
Like, what was the situation?
I'm kind of naive here?
Like, I put myself in the situation, really, like, in Houston.
To the poor, I almost couldn't get out.
I would have been stealing in the jail right now.
But shit, I paid my lawyer a whole bunch of money.
She got probation, got four years.
Deferred.
So you still have to be on probation, like, through Texas?
Like, you have to call in and shit?
Yeah, that's why I stay at.
Oh, you stay in Texas now?
I didn't realize that.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, yeah.
People are always talking about while Little Reese is like the dude who never left Chicago.
But you actually been staying in Texas?
Yeah.
I've been left Chicago.
Where in Texas?
Like Houston.
What do you like?
Do you like it out there?
Yeah, it's cool.
It's got to be a very different pace.
life. What do you do? You're just in the crib?
I'd be really chilling. Like, I'd be with
my daughter and shit.
Be put up, I'd be out the way. I'll go
to the studio in there and then.
What you do for fun type of shit? Like, if you're not,
if you just have the crib, you're playing the game.
I know you got a gambling addiction.
I always see you shoot dice stuff shit.
Who do you shoot dice against?
I ain't been shooting dice lately, but, because people don't be
really having no money, you know? I don't be wanting.
The other day you posted a story, like, you lost for some shit.
I've seen you recently. It's like you lost
the dice game or something. No, I'll say, I should.
stain their ass because they were shooting dice and I wanted to get in.
But I'm like, damn, they only got like $4,000, $3,000.
I lose $10,000.
Our dice game's always like sketchy?
Because I think after Takeoff got killed the dice game, that conversation was going heavy for a while.
I'm shooting dice with my people.
Like, my brothers I'm in the career with, like, I ain't going out shooting around the people
and doing no shit like that.
What's your relationship with why to be fact?
I seen that as you know.
No, I fuck with his music.
I told him he was the hottest
GD in the real.
So you can listen to GD music at this point in your life?
I listed that YTP Fass, yeah.
He ain't ever shoot dice with him?
No, hell no, I ain't never shoot dice with him.
So you listen to any other GD rappers,
or is that still kind of tough for you?
No, it ain't tough.
It depends on who it is.
I don't hold no grills against no GDs and shit like that.
Does a lot of that shit, in terms of the gang shit,
does it seem kind of old to you at this point?
It really is.
It really is.
Hell, yeah.
I'm gonna be really going off that shit.
I don't go off that shit.
Like, yeah, no.
What did you think when you saw,
what's his name,
King Yellow trying to make peace
for Sixth century?
You think that's gonna happen?
No, shit.
He said he ain't doing shit
with his goofy hair.
Yeah, what'd you think of that?
Shit, that's on them.
Shit, that's how he,
you heard what he said to the man.
He put it on the internet.
Shit, I guess he don't want to fuck with him.
What if King Yellow wanted to make
peace with Little Reese. I ain't never had beef with him or he ain't never been my
op so he can't make no peace with me. Well that's kind of how Breezy responded to
he said like my people aren't really into it with your people so this is irrelevant to me.
Yeah it'll be clout chasing though you know. It'll be clout chasing if a motherfucker trying to do some
shit. Like you never seen yellow, running the yellow type of shit. No hell now. So what was it like
I gotta ask this so it's the famous viral clip of the Jojo shit and Jojo in those past
by where were you at? You was outside your crib? Like what's going on in that video? I was
talking to this um this nigga from the low end named polarooski named poe i was talking to him man
was chopping it up outside the con shit it's like a red mustang or no he had like a red um
camera yeah he had a red camero at the time me and poe chopping it up i'm chopping up i'm chopping
up and they come pull up shit and this i was yeah y'all never see you ever seen them before
or like no like no it was like my first time seeing them type shit i never even bumped it to them
So that was just all like
ending that shit
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You know that niggas be chasing clout
Bro
And these things in Chicago
That's what they do
If you got fame
That's what they gonna do
Like I bump to a lot of niggas
And they were chasing clout
Always that's what they be doing shit
So Jojo was like
Never really an op to you
Just more so the music or whatever
I ain't even know him
I ain't even know the man
I'm my op
I seen recently
You said that you want to box
Swag de Niro
That's his brother
Yeah because he's so
The man's soft.
He's soft as here.
So you really do a boxing match?
You really do a boxing match?
I'd do it with him, but he got to put some money up.
Well, normally you would both get paid.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
It depends on how much money it is, though.
You said swag was like that?
What you mean?
No, you said he was right here.
I said he was right there, though,
when his brother was up doing all that internet shit with their phones and shit.
He was in the car, too.
So that's why I always be tweaking with him and shit.
Does that feel kind of crazy?
Crazy that are like so many different cities all over America, like copy Chicago in terms of the street stuff.
And you guys have just popularized so many things that just became completely normal.
Wait, what did you say?
All right.
Just like Chicago in general, it feels like you guys are probably like the most influential generation in terms of street shit.
No, it don't feel, it don't feel crazy.
It's a good thing.
It's a good thing.
I really think it's a good thing, though.
It's an influence.
I feel like it's a good influence.
That's how I look at it, though.
I look at that shit like it's a good influence.
I don't want to hang on knock them and say nothing down.
We'll try to, say, nika, y'all copy it.
I say, oh, no, keep it going.
Shit, let's keep this shit going.
So you fought with, like, other drill scenes,
like what they're doing in New York and UK and shit?
I fuck what, it depends on who it is.
I gotta, like, like, like, it gotta be catchy and shit.
Anybody in particular that you can name off the top of your head
that you can be like, y'all stamp this?
I fuck with the nigga from London.
What the fuck, I think he's from the UK or something, Frato?
Nicar name Frato.
Right.
I fuck with his shit.
Yeah, I fuck with his shit
I don't really be paying too much
Tension a lot of people
will listen to him
But I fuck with that nigga Fredo shit
From UK
I think he's from way from UK
One London on me
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
He from out there
Somewhere I fuck with his shit
But has any of the stuff
From New York
stood out to you over the years
Because I feel like
Yeah, like
Pop smoking on them
Routley
Right
Routy, yeah
And Routy, yeah
And Routy
Pops
Yeah, pop smoking all them nages
Yeah, pop smoking all them
Nages, yeah
I fuck what they shit
I fuck with what they was coming
Yeah, Tah, I got to ask you this
since you're here.
It's the reason they said you had beef in New York
and you pulled up to New York and shit.
What was all that about, Tisha?
I didn't even know nothing about beef.
I ain't even know what was going on.
We went out there on some, you know what I'm saying,
network and just chilling.
You were just already out there?
Yeah, I ain't know nothing about that.
But I'm not, we just not going to let nobody just play with Vaughn,
though.
Like, we ain't just going to let that happen, though.
But I ain't know nothing about that.
Well, what did you guys actually do to contact people
to have a conversation about
that disrespect?
I didn't know
nothing about,
I ain't know
nothing about
the conversation
and nothing.
All that was going on
they showed me
in the phone
like you see this
I'm what the fuck
I didn't contact
I don't know
so all the meme pages
are like
rap news pages
that were basically
post insane
Tay Savage pulls up
to New York
after King Vaughn
gets disrespected
that was just kept
yeah
it was already up
it was just a coincidence
we went to New York
and then
that was I didn't even know
like
like I didn't even know
that was going on
I didn't know
that the
I ain't know
nothing about
Right, definitely. Hey, I got to ask you this because we just had THF Bay Zoo on here.
Y'all was-H-in earlier today.
Today. Yeah, he all up. Yeah, he said he fucks with you. We weren't, we weren't sure.
I'm like, should they cross paths? Is that all good?
I fuck with you. I've been fuck with Zoo since I was a shorty. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I met, I met Zoot through Berbera. And shit, that's how it is. Right.
Speaking of Brubra, we talked about Brubo today. So they, you know, Dirt recently had a song where he kind of said, like, he won't fuck with Burbrough no more because Berber was snitch or something shit? Like, so what was your relationship like? So what was your relationship like?
What brother?
Man, I don't even want to talk about that, man.
We know what's going on, though, you know?
I don't be speaking on a lot of shit
because it's like, they ain't what I do.
I don't speak on.
I don't speak on.
But did you hear of dirt and say that in the song?
Yeah, I heard that.
Yeah, I heard that for sure.
Yeah, I heard that for sure.
I heard that shit.
But what I was going to ask about was,
so there was like a clip that was going around at one point
that was Bezoo, you, even though your face is like carefully cut off,
and then Crump is also in the car
and you guys have like 10 guns.
what's your
I was in the car
No you weren't there
Oh hell
Me crump zoo
On the guys
Little Mike
What's your memory of that
That clip
Was that just regular shit
Yeah that's how he was riding
I mean
I mean
Like I say
I know that
Crump
They like
Brum started getting
To a crump or whatever
Right
But before then
That's how I met Crump
I met Crump through them
You feel me
So
Once by the time
It was like a
Mubu OTF type of thing
Everybody was cool
Right
But
Yeah that's how
He was coming
shit. We was coming like that. That's what I was
saying. Like, a lot of, like,
we was coming like that when people weren't coming
like that. You know what I'm saying? Nah, it's cool.
Nah. But we've been doing that. We've been
that's why, like, one of the main reasons
I'd be, like, pushing peace, because I know how it comes.
A lot of people ain't never even
really dealt with the uglies of this shit.
They just run around popping motherfuckers. You go to jail,
then they're telling this shit, you feel?
The main thing that stood out to me about that is that if you got
pulled over by the cops, there's just absolutely
no way that you would be able to put all, like,
for anything. You would not be able to, like,
hide all those because it's like huge guns.
We got in there. What on the dash? And then two something on the dash. We're out of
that. You can't stop. Stop him. Oh, yeah. You can't stop. How can we go? Where we go?
A Uzi? I'm hiding a Uzi under my lap. What up? Officer?
We stumping it. But yeah. But that's why I be pushing that. You know what I'm saying? That's why I be pushing that piece type of thing.
Because like I say, I know what I come with it. I did it. It's just becoming new to guys.
A lot of people that they be saying they're not with it is like people that. People
that ain't never really did nothing for real.
You know what I'm saying?
They just be, just, you know what I'm saying?
Like, Zoo was out here with me.
Zoo definitely said to that earlier that Jew was one of the people
early on with them outside.
Zoo was with me.
Like, Zoo was with me.
Leverning was, you know what I'm saying,
out there with us.
Like, a lot of these people, I don't even know
where they even get, they, how they even get a voice or anything
because they wouldn't even, we were doing it when it wasn't cool.
Like, people were like, we come around people.
Oh, man.
Tug and jury, you feel.
Feel me?
Not everybody do it.
Now everybody got a voice, so I mean, I get it.
Right.
Do you think that, like, the push and peace stuff that you guys have been doing has actually
been causing any kind of impact in Chicago at all?
Hell yeah.
Really?
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
Now, don't get me wrong.
I mean, it's still Iraq, so you still going to have guys out there with their guns.
It'd be a fool to put, you know what I'm saying?
I'm not saying, put your guns down.
I'm just saying, get some money.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm just trying to bring the violence down in the city and bring money to the city.
That's all I'm trying to do, you feel?
I ain't saying, oh, yeah, we just finna come together, kumbaya, walk in March.
I ain't saying that.
I'm just saying, just slow down on the killing and get some money.
That's what I'm on.
Right, definitely.
You wasn't sketched out linking over J-Man?
I know you see the clip where he was talking about he felt backdoor vibes when y'all was actually-old.
Man, J-Man, J-Man, he's crazy, man.
He just made all that shit up, man.
He's crazy.
But I did piss, though.
I did go over there and pissing shit, then I walked off and shit.
Right.
But do you think that, are you worried?
it all about him making all these jokes about you
potentially backdooring him or you being sketchy
and shit like that. He's always
just kind of like accusing you with some shit
for comedic value. Yeah, but
you know it's crazy. I was texting. I was texting.
Man, bro, don't be
don't be trying to back dummy, bro. What?
What the fuck?
He's still worried. You weren't there when they had been up with Cardi B?
No, no, no. I ain't see Card.
You should have pulled up, man.
I wasn't invited to that.
Really? The whole crew got kind of
everybody else got eliminated around that time yeah i guess so i ain't even know he did that right that makes
sense all right so what did you think when you saw uh yellow and uh 600 breezy going back and forth
talking about the peace thing you think that that did any damage to the movement or not no because to be
honest with you i i mean i i i mean i i get what yellow trying to do and i get what breezy was saying
right what i'm saying like they're not ops so i get i don't even know what they i heard
they saw each other at the mall or something.
Yeah, back in the day.
You never seen that clip?
No, I didn't know that until somebody said, like, y'all saw each other at the mall or whatever.
Then there's another thing.
A lot of people would be saying, me and J. Main ain't obs, and, you know, they was doing this piece stuff first and all that.
So look, this is what I'm saying.
Everybody know me and J. Maine, we had an altercation.
100%.
That was true.
You know what I'm saying?
We had an altercation.
That's true.
I didn't even know that was him.
I didn't even know.
I didn't know it was him either, to be honest with me.
Yeah, because you guys are shot so many people.
It just doesn't even stand up.
No, no, we ain't never shot nobody.
We ain't never shot nobody.
But look.
So this is how it go.
I, Risi, my man.
You know what I'm saying?
It's my homie.
So at first it wasn't like this,
but I think with social media,
it started making the city kind of divide.
So now they're saying who you're taking pitches with.
So now we're taking pictures with Risi.
Now we're taking pictures with Risi.
They're just going to keep saying Risi.
I check.
So now, like, I inherit,
whatever type of beef he got,
I'm really going to inherit.
because I'm taking pictures with him.
You know what I'm saying?
So I'm with them.
So like, okay, yeah, yeah,
Jay May not really our main op,
because I'm from the low end,
but if we seen Jay May it would have been up with him.
Back then, for sure, it would have been up with him.
Oh, yeah, that's folks mob.
Why are the band?
We're going to get on this top.
That's how we was coming.
So, you know, people, I don't know.
I just feel like people be having a lot to say
for like no reason.
Everybody said they was doing it first and all that.
But cool, let's just get this piece down doing.
I mean, let's just get this violence.
done to bring money to the city.
I don't really care who did it first.
You might have did it first,
but we made more of an impact.
You feel it?
Risi, how you and Tate gets so locked in anyway?
Because, like, he ain't from Laron or anything.
Y'all both, he's from World's for a real.
I meant fucking with bro for a minute, though.
It was like, I don't know.
Me and bro start, I started fucking with bro.
Like, when I spent the night at his crib,
this was a long time.
Man, he spent the night one day,
and we've been locked since.
He spent a night.
I had to really see because I trust him, though.
Y'all don't even know.
I'm like, eh, you see what's to him.
You know what's crazy?
We spent a night, right?
He spent a night, up.
What age is this?
We was, oh, no, it was back then.
We had to be like 20, 21 type shit.
19.
Yeah, I don't know.
Young as him.
But he spent a night, Ip.
Come bring the pipe.
Give him the pipe.
He'd fall asleep.
On the dove, I go in the room.
Why'd you give him in your pipe?
Just so he could feel comfortable
because at the end of the day,
that was my first time been around him.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Who put y'all in tune for them even?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, where the relationship come from?
We had people that was always,
around each other so it was like about people connected like we used we used to all be around each
other like and then we started I think little dude I think you was fucking with little dude
first no I was fucking with you before let do oh yeah yeah I was fucking with you before bro
I started fucking with little dude off you on more damn I started fucking with bro off you man
I ain't a long lie you went to jail that's when I started fucking with a little dude so we went to jail
so where your relationship with king vaughn came from like you was we king va always
he always been around
but he was like
he was like a little
shorty-tas type shit
he always been around though
bad as hell
do you uh
do you watch like
the stuff like the king's lawn documentary
like traplow lost it
no I ain't never watched that shit
really why it just doesn't really
peek your intros because you knew them in real life
yeah I ain't I don't be because I'll be knowing
some of that shit be lies so
I don't be like
if I see something on that like my motherfuckers be saying
like oh
he did this, he did that, and I know he didn't do it.
I'm, I don't want to watch that shit.
Really? I'm two hours into the new, well, not that one,
the new NBA Young Boy documentary that just came out, the Trappolo Rouse did.
This is the sequel to the King Vaughan one.
So I'm two hours in.
A lot of dead bodies. It's pretty wild.
Yeah.
I ain't seen it yet, boy, yeah, it's like six hours.
I'm tapped in.
I started like almost as soon as it came out.
It's almost kind of a blur because it's just so much fucking information
that he's cramming into my head of all these different.
and rappers.
Risha, I was cool with young boy and shit before all that shit happened or whatever, right?
Then y'all, cause I used to see videos of King Vaughn and Quanto and everybody hanging
out in the studio, all type of shit.
Yeah, they, um, it was, it wasn't no beefing no shit like that.
You know what, like, them niggas, like, some of his homies come to Chicago and shit, pull
up to my career and shit.
I don't want to really like no beef and shit, but you know how that shit go over the time?
But pulling up to the career, like, how ya even build a relationship in the first place?
Like, y'all met at the studio some or how y'all even build in the, like, where
you meet him at?
I actually, like, man, has, what the fuck?
What's the nigga name, 3-3?
Like, that's the nigga who, like,
really pulled up to my career and shit before.
And they were like, yeah, young boy, fuck with you,
this and that type of shit.
Right.
What would it be like if you saw him now at this point?
Just awkward?
Yeah.
For sure.
Right.
Have you seen him?
All right, so recently they said, like, in the news
that the fatal bullets came from the police officers and shit.
I don't know.
Have you seen any of that?
Yeah, I seen that.
That was crazy.
Like, you're talking about from the Vaughn situation, right?
Yeah, from the Vaughan situation.
That was crazy.
Like, yeah, that shit was crazy because that's what I, that's some information I didn't know.
So it's like, damn.
So that was true?
They're saying that from the, like, police report that the fatal bullets is actually, like,
the police could have been the people that killed Vaughn and not Little Tim or whatever.
So, like, does that change the dynamic of shit knowing, like, you know what I'm saying?
No.
No, not really, though, because, I mean, it is what it is, though, you know?
Right.
Okay, so I probably should have asked this question at the beginning,
but what was going on the other day when you were out and about on Instagram Live
and you ended up dumping a drink on a homeless guy's head?
No, that wasn't even drink.
That was water, and I didn't do that.
It wasn't you?
Hell no.
You were filming somebody else doing it.
I just was recording it.
I was wrong for that, though.
You know, that's why I'm doing what I'm doing nowadays.
I'm passing out food, money, water, clothes, all types of shit to the homeless, like twice a month.
Right.
Like, now I'm going forward.
Were you drunk when you were doing the last?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was.
Yeah, I was.
Right. And it just kind of happened. Were you surprised when you got that reaction from people?
No, I woke up in the morning and it was still on my page. I was like, what the fuck?
I had to hurry up to take it down by that time, but it was already too late.
Oh, you're putting it on the feed?
On the story.
Oh, on the story, right.
I was so drunk. I didn't even know I put it on my story.
I woke up in the morning and that shit was on my story. I said, what the fuck?
I had to hurry up, take it down by that time, but it was too late. Everybody was calling me, cussing me out, saying this and that.
Even your friends, they were like, damn, that's a bad move.
Yeah.
Hell, yeah.
So what was it like doing this drive the other day with DJU?
It was cool.
I felt good about it, you know?
I felt good like making other people happy and shit.
Like, I felt good giving back to the community and shit like that.
That was in downtown Chicago.
It was actually like three, four places.
Hell, y'all did.
I felt good to see you're doing that.
I felt so good to the pro-wide.
I always do it.
You don't never think about because like there's another viral video.
It's like when I'm not sure if y'all, like, I think they said y'all stole a car,
someone stole a car.
And it looked crazy from the video.
It was like you was bleeding out type of shit.
Everyone was scared when we seen it.
It's like, damn.
Yeah, that's because I had got skinned in my eye and I got skinted in my mouth.
And then when I was running out the garage from getting skint, it was like some nigga,
I don't know.
And his girlfriend was right there.
Like, yeah, he stole a guy.
He stole a guy.
He stole a guy.
And the police came and tackled him.
And that's when they came.
over the phone with my faces check
like they was doing something.
So you was shot though?
I was skinned.
Yeah.
You skinned your eye, right?
I got skinned in the eye and skit in the mouth.
Like you see my mustache out of here.
Like you can tell like my shit got skinned somewhere right there.
I don't know which one of it.
And there was another dude in like a hoodie.
He was with you type shit?
Yeah, yeah, he got his in the head.
Yeah, he got shot in the head.
He was running out that bitch.
And so that was really just some like wrong place, wrong time type shit?
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, yeah, that was.
That's crazy.
Yeah, because they were trying to say they tracked the car down.
No, he did track his car down.
That's what he did.
The niggas tracked his car down.
But I didn't know the people who was selling weed was in the store in the car.
Oh, all right, tight shit.
Yeah.
Do you actually have any, like, health issues that you still deal with in terms of when you got shot in the throat and shit?
No, everything normal?
Yeah, everything normal.
Yeah, yeah, everything's normal.
It's not wrong with me at all.
I kind of feel like your voices back to normal.
I feel like it, too, but it go in and out.
Sometimes, like, it'll go in and out sometimes, shit like that.
Right.
I guess it's probably a little different, but it's getting pretty close.
You feel like it's getting better, though.
It's just been steadily getting better all the time.
I feel like it's just been getting better over the years,
because it's been like three years.
And it's been actually better.
One time, I couldn't even say nothing.
Right.
Yeah, because we didn't hear for you for a long-ass time.
I would say nothing.
That was another moment.
Like, everyone was like, damn, Reese.
Like, we seen the video.
Like, I think where were you?
It was in the Burbs, though.
It wasn't in Chicago.
Yeah, yeah, it was in the burbs.
It was in the suburbs.
So, like, walk us through that day.
Like, what you got going on and just a random day?
Yeah, I was trying to get my mom some money,
putting some money on her account.
So I was actually in the turning lane
and going to the bank.
And somebody was like, in like, fat lanes over.
They were shooting from fat lanes over.
Like, just goofy shit.
Like, it would be always a little goofy, fluky shit happening.
Like, let's be bullshit happening in the shit.
Nigger was like fat lanes over.
Shooting at my car thinking I was somebody else.
Somebody else had the same car as me.
He just did a video on the car.
So the nigga thought my car was his car
and shot my car up.
That's really why that happened?
Yeah, for sure.
So you know who the fuck it was, like shit, saying that.
But, you know what I'm saying?
No.
But you said how to fuck you know he thought you was somebody else?
Because that's what was the word, you know?
Oh, yeah.
That was the word.
Got it.
Well, I cleared that up.
So how many times have you been shot?
Just those two times?
The eyes?
I only got shot once.
I got skinned in my mouth and skinned in my eye.
Oh, okay.
You don't really count that getting shot?
I've been shot for real.
I got shot in the neck and came out of my back.
Who was shooting when you got?
Well, I guess that's on your honor.
Was it the people that was claiming it was their car?
Like, you know what I'm saying?
It was a shootout.
It was a shootout, really.
It was a shootout.
I ain't going to allow to you.
It was a big, it was a bad shootout in the garage.
Like, so.
Who called the police that?
Was it the person who was saying?
Yeah.
Yeah, the person who the car was, he called the police.
He had the police right there, and they were shooting.
That's why I'm really tripped out.
Like, what the fuck?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
That shit was crazy.
That shit was weird to say all the nigg did some police shit.
And called the police.
Yep.
Once you get off
probation in Texas
Where would you plan on moving?
I don't know
That's a good question though
Because I'm getting the fuck out of Texas
You ever want to live out here?
I would have been moved out here
But I ain't even gonna lie to you
I would have been I could have been moved out here
I would have been afraid it was telling me to come move out of here
Well they always would say that
Reese is just too in the streets
You don't want to leave Chicago
It ain't even that
It's just there
I already go somewhere where I ain't nobody yet
Like well none of my friends
And shit like that
You just want to be alone
I'd rather be alone
In the city alone
I feel like you'd get really bored
You've always been in like a hectic
ass place
You say what
You've always been in hectic places
I feel like you've always been moving around
You got somebody like all your opportunities
To make money and do shit
Are usually like gonna be
In a major city
You think that
What the fuck you gotta do in Montana
In a log cabin
Shit you could do what you do
Make music and shit
And get your money
Sell it to these labels and shit like that
Just do what you gotta do
Well, you could move to, like, China, and you'd probably be, like, the most lit rapper in China.
So, like, boom, the clubs would all be wanting to have you.
People would be paying you for features nonstop.
Could you be like the dude out there?
China crazy.
China is crazy.
And I don't really know if you'd like it.
But if you learn the language, you'll probably find yourself a couple of Chinese wives out there.
You fuck with Asian women?
Do I fuck with Asian women?
I think I had one before.
I think I had a little Asian women.
What's Reese's relationship status?
I know.
It's kind of crazy right now.
Yeah?
What's the laugh about?
You know?
You're annoyed?
You're annoyed by his significant other or something?
Is that what you're telling me?
I'm going to point fingers to Joe.
They're being crazy.
I see what your relationships that are like, you, you big pee.
Yeah, I'm wilding.
You big pee.
Do you ever think about doing porn?
Do I think about doing porn?
it's got to be in the back of your head right
I don't know
because you're crazy
I think you could do it
I believe in you
you crazy
after that video
after that video that I seen of you
yeah yeah
I can do it yeah yeah
I'm thinking about it one time
man I might just get into it man
one time
if it makes you feel comfortable
one time for a million
if it makes you feel comfortable
I'll delete all the sex tapes of little Reese
that different girls have sent me
that I have on my phone
yeah
Damn.
Or I'll just post them on Reddit.
I don't get no money.
Don't go make no money off of my shit, bro.
You could be like the Kim K of hip-hop if you just have some sex tapes league.
Just be real strategic with that shit, you know?
Kim K is crazy, brody.
All right, so, what was your relationship like with, like, C-Hunting this shit?
Like, who would you cool with him over there?
Little niggas, like, D-Roles.
I fuck with Rondo.
C-D.
Them.
Them with my cat.
It's like grandma school or y'all just?
I grew up around them.
Like, they grew up watching me type shit.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
You still, like, y'all still keep in touch with D.R.
Yeah.
With D. Rose be calling, he be calling some of the guys.
I'll be around now, I'll chop it over and just check on him and see if you're good.
You haven't really heard for Rondo type of shit?
No, I haven't really, I ain't heard from Rondo, though.
But when I see his brother and shit, he'd be telling me what's up with him.
Sure.
I need to hit from Cide, man.
I ain't on that.
Did you have a relationship with Ede?
Because Cid is E'd a brother, right?
Yeah, we all grew up together, yeah, but.
Like, man, see that man, Edd really fell out a little bit because it's like, when I got jumped by them niggas and shit, he was really like cool with them niggas.
So it's like, I was really, I was really like getting on his ass about that shit.
All right, so yeah, all right, let's talk about that.
So the dudes that jumped, you were they, everyone tried to make it seem like you shit on yourself.
But it was really the ethical, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, for sure.
No.
And I was like, we was outside in mud and shit.
Like, you know, like, I really, like, fell on the floor.
Like, the niggas dragging me on the floor.
But I got back up, like, shit like that.
The question is, though, so these were people you were actually cool?
How are you even getting that situation?
I didn't even...
I actually was like going to quit, bro, and I put my gun down on the seat,
and I ran in the gas station.
You go get some backwoods.
And I ran into some niggas.
Like four niggas in the gas station.
I ran into him.
They made a call.
There was three niggas creeping up to the door when I was trying to get out.
And they were like, let's take a picture trying to stall me.
I'm like, no, I'm going to go do something because I got quit.
Now I'm trying to run back to the car.
One of the niggas.
I hit him back.
And now there's like three more niggas running up.
Grabbing my pants.
I got on jogger pins.
I grabbed my pants.
My pants coming down there.
Grabbing my jogging pants and shit.
Now we're tussling.
We just tussling the shit in the grass.
And all type of shit, we was just tussling.
It was really a lot of tussing.
They won't even know.
Like, niggick, back your hat, bust your nose.
It wasn't none of that.
Like, it was really like a tussle.
And were these even dudes you knew?
No, I ain't know them.
They tried to act like they was in tool with me
because they were into it with some people.
people who I be around, see what I'm saying?
I ain't know them at all.
So that's how I go, though.
See how that shit goes, see you?
Like, they, they were in tour with people I've been around, like, some older people who knew me.
So when they seen me, they tried to press the button.
But I actually just seen one of them at a party, and I could have pressed the button on them.
But it was like, the person I am, I'm like, I'll see you, I'll be cool.
I'm going to throw it off.
Then he sees me with his homies.
He tried to press the button and tried to jump me.
So that's the thing though, like, sometimes the niggies,
do get passes and shit, you feel like somebody ever gave you a pass?
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, for me.
You could tell us a time when somebody gave you a pass where you was like, damn, I was slipping.
Yeah, yeah, I could say that, you know.
Yeah, that's shit that happened before.
It go around.
It go around like that.
Off relationships or just like.
Sometimes, sometimes, though.
Because it had been niggas who I know that's, that's seeing me like, I ain't even
going to say a nigger name, but it was, I knew, I've been knowing since I was shorty.
He's seen me, damn, I just seen you leaving him.
up out of woo, keep your head up, boy.
All right, bad boy, you already know.
Shit like that.
And you just both keep it low-key?
Shit.
I guess, if you could say it.
But that's sad.
Shit, it happened before, though, so I can say that.
Right.
You feel like you was one of the first people
to start the going on live with your ops shit?
Hell now, that shit been going on.
Every since the internet started, though.
You know, niggas started doing that shit with the internet started.
I feel like you were the first people to crack it off.
Maybe because it wasn't all.
Because I remember Zhu and Melly shit went.
crazy, right? They're one of the first ones, but like, it's like a music video where I think
you're on... You're talking about, oh, what the...
But it was a FaceTime, but it really technically alive, but it was, you were on FaceTime.
You know what I'm talking about, 0-5-1 mark or something like that.
Some of me. The niggas just used to be calling me. Niggas be, niggas be just fanned my number
and call me. I ain't, I'm not really trying to kick it with niggas and chop it out
when the niggas, them call me out the blue end. I guess that's going to make them for like
that important, though, you know? Right.
That is a crazy thing for y'all just to be on the phone and y'all don't really like
each other type shit, but y'all grew up.
No, I ain't never grew up with them niggas, no.
I ain't, oh, you ain't.
Yeah, I ain't grew up with them.
Those niggas ain't even from my way.
Do you listen to 05-1 kiddo at all?
Negative.
Why?
You're not a fan?
Who is that?
I don't even know him.
You never heard of him back in the day?
Hell no.
Hmm.
Interesting.
I just got out of jail.
I'd be saying a lot of new shit going on.
It seemed like a lot of people that was in jail, like, even say it's like getting out
and like just having, like, fast success and shit.
Is there anybody else that y'all know that book right now
that's probably going to come home and turn out?
I mean, everybody out, damn out now.
So it's like, who you think would come out and go crazy?
It's somebody fin to come on trying to think.
I don't know.
I don't know nobody that's going to come on.
It's somebody that I was just thinking that's going to come home, though.
Did you see this for Tate?
Like, did you see him getting out?
I ain't even think he was going to be a rapper.
You know what I'm saying?
But when he started doing what he was doing,
He got to find this flowing shit
I was like, all right, he can go somewhere
He can be something
You know, he's got to keep doing this
Keep doing the shit
Stay on this shit
He's gonna be straight
So what's up with the dirt shit, man
Like we want to see
Y'all do some music with dirt
Dirk
Dirk in the whole other
lane right now
You see what I'm saying
It's like all right
So he getting another lane
After he reached his peak
It's like, nigga
Right now the time
where y'all can really cash in
On these features
So like as a nigga I would have to him
Like right now
I feel like
You know what I'm saying?
So, like, what's going on?
If I want to do something with the man, I can do it, bro.
I don't be too pressed to be like, do it.
What's up?
I'm in my own lane.
You see what I'm saying?
It's like, I'm doing my own thing, bro.
I'm not trying to reach out to nobody.
I don't need nobody.
Yeah.
For real.
So what's the difference between dog pound and lamberon and shit?
I thought it was, I thought, because I thought...
No, dog probably down the street.
You see what I'm saying?
Is it on Lamber?
Is it on normal?
No, it's down the street.
That's shit down the street.
But it's on normal?
Like, isn't normal like a long-ass block?
Yeah, normal a long block, but dog pound like by hosting and shit.
Yeah.
Because I, y'all, all right?
So, Dirk, you said L's up, foot on here?
That's L'Aron, right?

you're gonna go from the
mirage to the interviews from the
interviews to the blogs
