The hose come around and then dudes start being like, yo.
Oh, I know.
You think I should have signed the future?
I don't know what you're talking about.
They'd be all extra dollars.
You think I got too many bodies?
I got a million dollars in the car.
Where we're going to go?
For show, yo.
No Jumper coolest podcast on where we got Sharky on here.
My boy Polk just pulled up, took the seat.
Yes, sir.
How are y'all feeling?
Back on no jumper, man.
Back with my boy, Adam.
What's the deal, my boy?
A little four-year break.
A little timeout, a little stand in the corner real quick.
You got a little brolick.
in the meantime.
You know, noodles and noodles and little whams and bams and whatnot.
Every day.
Wait, so you were locked up for a while?
Because you did an interview four years ago on here.
Right before I went in.
Okay.
You did like four years.
We had a little timeout, little federallies one time.
How long you have to go in for?
I did four all around.
I had got indicted when I was in there for a state case,
and then they ran my shit concurrent.
So then they sent me back to the feds,
finished my time, and then they sent me to the halfway house.
What was that for?
Um, for aggravated identity fraud and money laundering.
Oh, shit.
And then the state case was for distribution and shit.
I had a weed shop on weed maps without the proper licenses and shit.
Whoa, really?
Yeah.
Damn.
All right, so lesson learned, don't be selling weed without doing your proper due diligence.
They have taxes because they're gonna snatch you up.
They ain't playing about they, they want their money for sure.
Damn, that's crazy.
How was it though?
Was that your first, like, longish bid?
Yeah, it was my first bid.
I only did camp time.
I did county a little couple days, but first time.
How was it?
Boring.
Yeah?
Boring, boring, depressing.
Time to think.
That's it.
Read books and work out and get on the phone when the Seals ain't looking.
So is prison complicated for you?
Like, how do you identify in there?
Just boring.
No, but are you black or are you other?
From Hoban, niggas.
Okay.
But look, we got some spicy orange sauce, collab with,
Into wings.
Also, too, I brought, uh...
I thought there was just like some juice at first,
and I'm like, how is it so thick?
And then I realized it was...
You drink that.
Okay.
Adding one of them, you know, exclusive.
Oh, let's go.
Fs all.
Yeah, I'm trying to be on the big side.
That's right.
You know, we have to...
Damn, what is this?
A warthog?
No, we're from the 50s, man, you know.
Nice.
I'm into it.
You've got to take a flick later with you in it.
I got you.
I'm going to rock that for show.
Damn, all right.
So, uh, wait, but,
Just to stay on that, though, is, uh, do you respect dudes who go in there who are in, like,
a black street gang?
And then when they get locked up, it's a...
I don't care about none of that jail shit.
We're on the streets.
I'm on two parole, state and federal.
I got to walk a thin line.
So, you know, I'm just out the way.
Law-abiding citizen.
I'm here with Adam.
Yeah.
We want some positive shit, podcasting shit.
Good call.
Started my career management shit.
I got a couple artists right now I'm managing.
Really?
Anybody in the room?
Right here.
Okay.
He's managing you?
Yeah.
You needed a management at this point in your career?
I never had a manager.
Really?
But you think he's got the business sense that could take you to the next level?
For sure.
I like that.
Networking, connect the dots.
I feel like usually the manager's like older.
I feel like you guys are like the same graduating class.
Well, shit.
Don't want to deal with me, you feel me?
So I'd rather let him deal with some house.
Yeah, you're a little bit of a headache, huh?
Nah, nah, nah, I'd be chilling.
I was supposed to go do a live stream with you.
I noticed you stopped responding.
I ended up going to jail with the...
Oh, really?
Some weird shit, though.
Just driving down Fing and they're talking about we pimping and shit,
and I'm like, that.
Oh, shit, I thought that you just...
That's why I told you, though.
Oh, yeah.
I thought you just, like, decided it wasn't a great idea.
They tripping over there.
I mean, it was already a crazy idea to be live on fig.
Where you got shot at?
Yeah.
Sure, though.
Everybody was thinking that was a possibility.
Sure.
It would have been iconic, though.
You want to run that back?
You down?
I'm on double probation, stay in federal.
I can't be in gang areas or, you know, I'm a law.
What about this?
This is kind of like a gang area, right?
That's the sad.
This is a nice area.
Yeah.
Like no jumber specifically.
We're on the gang map.
Type shit.
Yeah.
The type of shit you'd be running as well.
I don't know.
Somebody told me that.
No, we aren't on a gang map, no gang territory.
We're out the way.
P.O approved area, everything, you know, A1, legal, law-abiding shit, you know, normal citizens
type shit, you know, nothing janky, frankie, little stanky, wanky, type shit.
Damn, so you, like, really didn't think that you were going to go to prison, huh?
That was very much.
Oh, shit.
So, since we got indicted, I'm like, I'm hit.
Okay, once you got indicted, but like before that, like, the weed shop thing, you're
not thinking that that's going to get you locked up.
Well, I think about that when they didn't get any money.
My house in Arizona, I got raided when I was in London.
They hit all my shit.
but this was in 2017, and then the fed shit was 2015,
so I didn't get hit till 2021 and 20, 23.
Yeah.
So I got the Fed case in 21.
I went in 22, and then the end of 23, they hit me for the state shit from 17.
What was the aggravated money laundering or credit card fraud or whatever the first thing?
Aggravated identity fraud, and money laundering, just moving money, different states.
So if I bust the play out here and then go over there and go here.
You know, anything past state lines is federal.
They could just get you on anything, huh?
Ain't no joke.
You should have United States of America versus your name.
It's a different feeling.
Wow, that's crazy.
So let's get him a little bit of the backstory, though,
what your upbringing was like and everything?
Oh, shit.
Single mom, grew up with my grandparents,
grew up in, like, Norwalk, Long Beach area.
Long Beach, middle school, high school, start going to L.A.
Okay.
Then those shit start getting tricky and freaky.
Were you always a bad kid?
Not bad kid, but getting in trouble and shit.
Yeah.
From early on?
Yeah.
Still in clothes, still in phones, busting plays.
You know, got to get that paint.
Pops wasn't around?
No, I didn't mean my dad so it was 30.
30.
Do you know what happened to him?
Oh, just young had me when he was,
like 16, 17, so...
Yeah.
You know.
Definitely.
Type shit.
How'd you,
at what point do you become a gang member?
High school.
Who'd you know or like,
how'd you end up?
Because is there hoovers in Norwalk?
Nah.
Not, right?
Just being around.
I grew up in Norwalk in, like,
elementary school.
Yeah.
Middle school, my grandparents moved to Crenshaw and Pico.
And then I'd be, like,
in, like, Culver City alive.
I'd be all South Central alive.
But my, uh, my
big homie, HIP, Stax, he brought me around and introduced me to everybody and all that kind of shit.
And you just hit it off?
Was it just a sense of like this is the community that I kind of been looking for?
Shit, it was just fun.
Being a bunch of people that like getting money, doing fun shit, they just accepted me.
That's just what ended up happening.
What do you think makes the Hoover is different from other hoods in L.A.?
Um, shit, we're the best.
We're the flies.
get money.
But it feels like everybody's like kind of thinks of the Hoosers as like extra crazy, extra dangerous.
LA is a janky.
Yeah.
What do you think about the Hovers?
Great men, from what I could sell.
You're a great man.
Gumbi's a great man.
Girl of Hebrew, great man.
I know many, many great grooves, you know.
No complaints.
Well, so like there was never a chance that you were going to be from like an Asian hood or some shit?
shit all the Asian kids never wanted to hang out with me
really yeah I guess I was too bad
go to church from my grandparents on Sunday be bad
go to the church can't be bad beat them up
or hang around everybody else
they did we just all bad together
damn we finish up that's crazy you feel like you were born in the wrong
body like you were meant to be black
the fuck
that's a regular ass question
that's crazy
What do you think about the sauce?
I mean, it looks great.
I get to take this home.
I want to try it up.
Yeah, I brought like four of y'all in there.
You know, we got to pick one display case.
Oh, hell yeah.
Let's do it.
Oh, that's a great idea.
Oh, we got it in there.
All right.
Perfect.
Okay.
Nah, yeah, but, um, okay.
So had you already been, like, locked up or had any,
any kind of serious trouble before you became from the hood?
Camp.
I went to camp for a gun charge.
Okay.
And then after that, I was fucking with a couple of the homies in there.
But really when I was with stacks,
that's when I was in the 50s.
day at the HUD
every day.
Hi job.
Just trooping every day.
Right.
It's just normal.
Like, I don't know.
It don't just type shit
is what I was just doing.
But do you always feel accepted
or was it always like a big deal of like,
oh, he's Asian and he's from the hood?
Like it's kind of like so shocking that people
probably bring it up all the time, right?
Nah, because it's not normal.
I understand it, but that's why I was at.
That's why I was with.
If anybody says some shit, you know,
you go handle your business and that's what it is.
But you feel like,
you had to show out more to prove yourself.
White said that because he's from a black gang.
Yeah, I mean.
If I was from a black gang, I felt like I'd probably have to do all the skits for a while, at least.
What did you think about the wings?
The wings were fire.
That was my boy, Aaron from Into Wings.
We got the sauce collab.
We got the restaurant in San Anna.
Make sure y'all check that out.
Shout out Santa Ana.
Great city of Santa Ana.
You tried any of the juices yet?
I haven't.
Which one you think I should dive in on?
Which one?
Pink Mirage.
Pink Marrage.
Which one is this?
Oasis.
Yeah, strawberry mango.
Oh yeah, this is part.
This one right here.
Try that one.
That's it was good.
All right.
Strawberry mango.
Sounds like I can't go wrong.
But, um, all right.
So what, you dropped out high school or?
No, I got my GED when I was in camp.
So when I got out, I was going to be on papers and they make you go to school.
So how many years were in camp?
Just four months.
Okay.
Juvenile camp is right there by six flags.
in the mountains and shit they got uh mons bendin hall challenger which way i went to uh muns
i was that manor that's next door from yeah they got the fence and then we had the pool you've
seen that uh the movie gridiron game no uh with the rock when they play football oh i heard of it yeah
that's camp in la county that's out of real camp in malibu oh really so i was on the other
side of town in there and then like i was in there during softball season so like we go to like
different camps and like go go play the other teams and shit oh word so i was on the other side of
I went to that, I played softball out this shit where a gridiron game was filmed at.
Hmm.
Okay.
So what were you like doing all through your 20s and stuff?
I'm trying to like fill in the details between like...
To that bag and bread going out of, out the country.
Oh, really?
Having shit my way.
Out of country?
Oh, that's where they hit my house when I was in London for Fashion Week.
Oh, really?
Well, I landed in London, then we took the train to Paris and then I was in Belgium and the shit.
But you were making money out there or you were just...
That weed shit.
I was up.
I had chicken.
I had paid.
So you were the meat.
The weed man.
I was playing.
And now I'm not.
And now I'm wearing sheen clothes.
And now all the feds are 180 bands, but it's okay because, you know, we're going to do shit the legal way.
That's what we sell on this shit.
So we could pay the feds back.
We got sauces and juices and chicken and clothes and, you know.
Damn.
So when you got in the weed game, it was like the glory days of when a lot of people were making money of it.
A pack of outdoor for 150 and taking it to Arizona and getting 100 to zip.
Wow.
And now I bust down like.
20 packs in like two weeks.
Wow.
I was good.
I had a good run.
I just,
I started,
got lazy and I started hiring drivers.
And one of the drivers had got cracked.
And then he just folded and became it for me.
And then I saw everything went down to me.
That'll do it.
Cameras.
All that shit is,
all that shit's just public information,
though.
All that shit is,
you know,
out there.
But yeah,
he was wearing wires,
cameras,
linking up with him to give him more weed,
grab the bread.
And he just,
you know,
Arizona they'll be playing they gonna snatch your ass up so you were at some point were you
like really really up off of the weed shit like I was a I mean I guess had hundreds of
thousands but I know millionaire type shit but I mean that's still pretty dope because I feel like a lot
a lot of weed people are kind of just treading water they're smoking and they're selling weed
when I went to New York for the first time they had every every strain you could think of
and weed out there excuse me weed out there like what 2017 18 was was six
see a eighth yeah see for everybody
be having bullshit weed because I'd be in Houston
a lot they said trashed they got gas
in Houston you just fucking nah
you just trash everywhere I go people
you ain't top hono he'd be
he'd be he's spent too high
for that thing
I gotta pay to play
I just seen Calipug saying there's something about
the really hot climates in places like Arizona
and Texas that make the weed like when you go into
dispensaries that the weed is like
fucking dusty shit like yeah
I was fun with backpack boys a lot before and then I was
I was buying a lot of that shit.
I just think they don't be growing that shit right or something.
I'm not buying no weed that's not grown in California.
Right.
Like that.
But if you got California shit and wherever you're at, then I'll f*** with it.
Well, you could tell, like, you could look at it.
You could, if the weed ain't.
They should be dry and you don't bring down.
When it turned into powder, it tastes like dirt.
That's what he was saying, yeah.
But, I mean, like, could you imagine that scenario?
Like, back when we all started to realize that we was going to be fully legal in L.A.
At some point, like.
It's been legal since like 2007, six.
Right, but like really available and like licensed dispensaries and everything like that.
Like if you had told us back men, yo, like it's going to be fully legal,
but the quality because of the restrictions and the regulations is going to be so shit
that like you basically aren't going to have any respect for anybody who buys weed from dispensaries.
Like I couldn't have predicted that.
And they used to have the shits in the jars and they used to give you the weed out the jars.
That's when it was still good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Package.
Set or miss.
Yeah.
And they don't let you, you only can smell that shit.
You got to really see that.
You got to touch that.
But they shut down all of the dispensaries that everybody used to want to go to.
So now you have a world where, like, anybody who, like, really knows about weed is buying weed on the street.
But then meanwhile, if you run, like, a street weed business, you can't really get, like, that big because you're not going to be able to open dispensaries.
It really just depends how you monopolize it and really how, what angle you come at it.
If you're trying to do a grow house, it's not really going to be workout out about because all your profit is based on.
you know this specific time day you got to maximize your profit during these months and the
months you're not making having no profit in rent bills workers all that stuff yeah it's good to have
a dispensary and like partner up with a brand but to try to have like a grow which a lot of
these people try to do that's not in my eyes it's not really beneficial and not really gonna
maximize your profit yeah i mean even like burner uh which actually i read his book a couple months ago and
And he really, like, emphasized that, like, they didn't want to own the dispensaries.
They just got, like, a percentage of the profits from all these dispensaries, and they would partner with them.
And that worked out way better.
Because, like, he, I used to go to his first shopping sack, like, what, like, 2012, 2013.
That was the first ever cookie store.
But, yeah, it's the best way, like, how he did it with Oakland.
He got a deal with the guy that got that when they started doing the letting the felons get the licenses.
partnered up with him, let him pay all the front-end costs,
and then you just throw your product in and get the bread out of the back end.
Definitely.
That's really the smartest way to do it.
Were you a big weed smoker during that time period?
What? I'm smoking packs.
I get all the bullshit to sell, and then I get like two, three packs of some flavors
and like a pack of OG for me to smoke.
Hmm.
You done with that now, though?
You don't smoke anymore?
I can't.
Because of the federal probation?
Yeah.
Yeah, because state is legal, but federally is still illegal, so I can't smoke.
So everybody that we know is on federal probation basically is not supposed to be smoking weed?
I mean, sometimes your PO might let you.
You might have a legit medical reason.
A PO might not trip on weed.
But other than that, I mean, you know, every PO got different circumstances and every federal officer in different cities and states,
they all have different rules for their clients.
Right.
That's crazy, though.
Does that hurt?
Like, you wish you could smoke again,
or are you just kind of glad that you're done with it?
I want to smoke, but the way I used to smoke is going to be too expensive.
I'm going to get too lazy.
I got too much shit to do.
I'd be trying to hit the gym every day, get work done.
Yeah.
When I used to smoke, I'd be sleep like half the day.
I barely want to go bust my plays.
I used to be lazy as hell.
Eat a lot of money.
Yeah, a lot of people who smoke weed all there are kind of in denial
about the effect that it might have on them.
And I didn't like Sativa.
I was heavy on I think it's just affect everybody different.
And it could dominate high.
That's true too, I think.
Because I'm going to tell you right,
if I just faced a blunt before I was doing this interview,
I'm going to be like, I'm going to be like slow.
Like just, it's just not good for me, like, being like energetic up.
If I start smoking a blunt, I'm like, it's not going to share.
I'm chilling.
Like, somebody tells me like, oh, can we film this skid or whatever?
I'm all like, oh, I don't want to be on camera.
I don't want to do anything.
Like, I don't know to smoke until the end of the day,
typically because don't really agree with me, like hustling my ass off.
And when I think about it, I spent so much of my life just doing everything high as
and I don't think that was a good idea for my overall productivity.
I mean, school is fun, high school and shit like that, but when you've got kids,
when you got businesses, when you're productive and you have, you know, your routines
and stuff you got to do, I think like if I were able to smoke, I would just smoke at night
just before I go to bed, stuff like that.
But I don't think I could ever just be wood after wood every day.
I have been wood after wood.
I ain't allowed to you.
Fully functional.
I can't do it.
I can't do that no more.
Yeah.
You got a certain soul to you that I think disagrees with smoking blunts all day.
I'll be smoking.
I've been smoking.
It don't bother to be.
Definitely.
So all right, like hit me with some memories of that sort of time period.
Like, what are we talking about?
the 2010-2015-ish era as far as L.A.
Because, I mean, in retrospect,
I think a lot of people look at those
as some of like the real glory days of L.A. before COVID.
But, like, the Internet's popping.
So you could get lit on the Internet
without having to go through a label or whatever.
So there's a lot of, like, interest and shit
happening hip-hop-wise and everything.
Whereas, like, now it feels like, I don't know,
it's just like a different energy.
Shit.
And you were really outside.
My teenage years or their toys, my shit was lit.
My homies had paint.
We was in COVID City.
We was in Marina del Rey.
Homies was in ranges.
The homies really felt my life because they made me feel like this shit was normal.
And then I was always the youngest out of the group.
So everybody had bread.
So growing up, it was just always normal.
Like I have my little, I would have like a little rack, a little 500,
but they would have like 15 racks, 20 racks.
they got four or $5,000
condos and this is
you gotta think like
15 years ago when rent was
still kind of for going L.A.
Going to the bridge
going to
mail roads, Fairfaxie
and all future and all them. That she used to be
normal.
Shit, I don't know.
Like my upbringing was kind of different
because I had shit my way for
for so long. It just got normal.
So like, even when I turned 18,
I had a, my first apartment was at the Orsini.
Mm.
So.
I mean, and you're doing all these things that realistically are the kind of things that could
lane you in the feds for mad years.
But do you feel like the dudes that you were around just made everything seem so chill and casual
that you weren't really thinking about the risk?
It's normal.
Yeah.
When you grow up and everybody got paint and it's just normal.
I should start getting comfortable.
Yeah, you're just normal.
You're going to roof Chris every other night, all that.
Yeah, my ain't thinking about the worst.
This is the lowest I've been since I've been like 15, 16.
Like having a budget shit out.
Having to not be able to grab everything I want to get.
Like, but I know this is all part of the game.
All part of, you know, starting over coming up.
I don't regret nothing.
Everything was fun.
But there's got to be like part of you that's like, okay,
I'm just happy living a nice, chill life because it's a lot better than being in the feds.
Definitely 100%.
I'm glad I'm married.
Yeah.
Glad I be at the spot.
Glad everything just sleep with my girl,
cooking at the house, doing shit like this, being with my friends.
That's all the stuff that makes you appreciate all the little things is
when you're in that bunk and you're just laying down and you're just like, fuck.
Having to get shit on commissary and missing things and taking a walk and going to the beach.
all the stuff that you don't realize you take for granted
you got all the time in the world to just lay there and think
definitely so yeah
I did now I appreciate everything
but back then growing up I didn't get a fuck
but is it tough because
you know that like you could make some calls and just be
fully back in the game if you wanted to take the chance
I just don't never I just don't want to f*** this up
because if I know if I f*** it up it's going to be double the trouble
I didn't know how that jail would
I gotta go fast
and state so it's not like I can just you know something happens and I just might do 30 days type shit I'm my I'm gonna be gone for again so damn you've been in a jail before I don't never never overnight 24 hours oh so like you ain't ever hit no my
just sit in there like for like a week or two and that time no I never hit the dorms and have it running the dorms right now
he in there yeah how long ago he's probably the police station we're all just like in the group chat baby and like dude
I wonder what Ann is doing right now in jail.
It's hard to like wrap our head around the fact that he's in there right now.
Troop up.
Got to get your mom right.
I mean, so I'd say everybody, jail, not scary.
It's just boring.
Mentally, it's a mental, mental challenge.
Well, it sounds scary too, right?
There's people stabbing each other and shooting.
They could get stressors like that.
That depends on the situation.
In my opinion, as long as you're a man and you respect everybody and you demand your respect back,
you're going to be good.
But really, it's just boring.
Like, you got to find stuff to occupy.
pario time you gotta get that routine read books watching movies on the tablet work out i used to like to cook a lot
so i'm always buying shit from the kitchen all the veggies all the cheese i would just take take my time
probably like spend like two three hours cooking that's how it was a lot of my time would fly by too
but you like were you in like a area the feds that was like well because yeah you got caught up for
non-violent shit so is it a low so it was straight
U.S.Ps is cracking.
Yeah.
USPs is janky.
You got to walk around.
So when the feds is, USP is like a max.
That's United States penitentiary.
Then they got medium security, low security.
And then camp is like bad man cavo.
Like all the people were like you could, you could, there's no fence at camps.
So you could really run to a hotel.
You could have your girl wait, meet you on the little back street.
Go do that.
In a fed?
Yeah.
So camps is sweet, but I couldn't, I couldn't make it to a camp.
because I had warrants and holes and shit.
But yeah, my shit was non-windling.
I never, I didn't have no prior criminal history,
so I didn't have a hell of points or shit like that.
Yeah, like my dad was in the feds for a year when I was 12.
And it, like, when I first showed up,
and it was like, there was no fence.
You can just east coast.
Yeah, you can just walk up out of there.
And I was just astounded by the fact that, like,
when I showed up, my dad's, like, working out, like, right there.
Like, you can see him.
He could have jogged the f*** out of there and gone to McDonald's or some shit,
which I have heard people talk about, like, doing crazy missions where they get up at the time.
It's like level one yards in a pan and shit.
Yeah, like the camps is sweet time.
Like, people are getting, people having shit they way at the camp.
Like, the camp is easy time.
But the low, we had a fence.
We have phones and shit, too, though, so it was cool.
I was on the phone all the time, but.
Like, phones you smuggled in there or, like, the iPads they give you?
I don't know how they got them in there, but we have phones.
Oh, yeah?
So I'll be FaceTime with my homies.
You want Instagram, watch videos.
and shit, it was cool.
Yeah.
I got caught with a phone in there
and I had to go to the shoe for like,
like 30-something days, that shit sucked.
You don't add time for that too?
Yeah, I lost all my good time in there.
Damn.
So you can't tell us how you were getting them in there?
I wasn't getting them in there.
I don't know how they got it in there,
but they was in there.
You got bread and shit like that, you straight.
Damn.
So it was cool.
For sure.
But so you were in there for, what, three, four years you said?
Yeah, for 2022 to the end of,
25 and then I just got out the halfway house last month.
Oh, really?
It's only been a month.
Holy shit.
Congrats.
Appreciate it.
Damn.
Trying to hit it around.
Was the halfway house difficult though?
Is that a weird thing too?
It sucks because like you out, but you're not.
You get a little passes to do shit and whatnot.
But it's literally, it looks like a, it's like an Amazon warehouse with bunks everywhere.
And it's just you in jail, but you're not.
Like you don't got to hide your phone.
You can order.
Uber eats.
You can have normal clothes, but
you can't leave when you want.
Right. So it's cool. It's like
you're halfway out, halfway out.
Is it weird because you're in there with all these
other random ass dudes who just got out
prisons, so it's probably people that you don't get along with
or is that a factor? I was in Vegas, so it was cool.
Oh, okay. But, I mean,
I don't be worried about that shit.
But I've known some people over the years who were in the halfway house
who are like real, you know,
gangster-ass rapper-type dudes
who are, like, famous,
and they got beef,
and they're in the halfway house,
and I'm talking to them
and realizing, like,
they don't want anyone to know that they're there
because they got, like,
no way to protect themselves,
and this is not security,
high security, like a prison.
Somebody ran up on you in the half-house you hit,
but that's why, you know,
you just got to handle your shit.
You got to be a man.
If you want to talk big dog shit,
you got to back up big dog shit.
But you didn't, like,
run into any situations in there
and other lines?
I got squabbles,
I got phase
with that shit
ain't best normal.
Oh, that shit
be normal.
It's probably anywhere.
Oh,
that shit's not,
you feel me.
You're gonna have some people
that'd be extra
out and make a scene
but you know,
you just go to the bathroom
handle your shit
and that's it.
Counties the same,
wayside,
all that.
Long as you're not a bitch
and you just,
you know,
win,
lose or draw,
you handle your shit,
you're gonna be good.
Your homie's going back you up.
And that's gonna be,
that's what it is
what it is type shit.
This is what you signed up for, so you can't just handle your shit like a man.
Definitely.
So you were making like fake registrations on Turro?
That's what you got up for?
I'm talking about what got you in there.
Yeah, that shit was on the news and everything.
Yeah, I was getting whips off of Toro and skirt.
And then I was making the titles in registration and then posting them on like Craigslist and
offer up and then selling them like that.
So you like rent the car and then you sell the car?
Yeah.
And then the person.
who originally owned the car.
It's all bad.
You just don't talk to them anymore?
It's all bad.
That shit was janky, but I mean, shit, you know, you're young.
You just want your bread.
That's what it, though?
No, the weed shit made me the most money ever in my life.
The car shit was, I was just like, if I make like a little dub,
I'll go to seasons and blow all that shit.
Like I was doing.
So, okay, you were getting like the real high-end cars or something?
I might sell Camry, I might sell the Rafe.
But you got things like the high-end.
Your car is be harder to sell because who will bring you $120 bands cash.
Exactly.
Comparative, you got a car that's $40 and you'd be like, man, I need to dove right now.
Right.
A lot of people got a dub than $120.
But doesn't the Lambo's have like tracking devices and shit too?
Yeah, but with Toro and Skirt, you get those because like if you get a car from Enterprise,
it's going to say it's a rental.
But if I get, if I rent your Lambo and I make the registration as you're in.
name.
But on tour all of my
track.
Yeah, but you're not
doing nothing.
They don't know
that you're going to
dump their car.
They just know
you're just driving around.
And they don't have
like protections
in place to help you
out in the source?
They got renters insurance
but the person
that buys the whip
they hit.
Right.
Because it gets
reported stolen.
Oh, then I mean
and they get it taken.
You go to jail
for driving the car.
The bread's gone
and then the person
that rented the car
back.
Get their car back.
But so you didn't
do you ever
have a situation
where they wanted
to like kill you
or like,
hunt you down or some shit for what for basically like stealing their car i ain't still the car they got
their bread i rented it i ain't rent it somebody else rented it i ain't sell the car i ain't get the car i ain't did
nothing okay this all allegedly someone alleged someone someone someone rented their car someone sold it
i don't know what happened i didn't i ain't sell nothing i ain't rent none and when the when the feds came
to get you about that specifically where you just kind of like amazed by how much information that they
God, they got me for that.
I was so, that's how my hairlines started falling out.
Well, I was in the house scared.
They told me I was indicted.
I said, oh, my God.
Oh, so you had other things that they didn't find out about?
Nah, I didn't do nothing.
But I'm saying when it was for that, I'm like, oh, shit, like, that's crazy.
But, yeah, the feds ain't no joke.
Like, in the discovery, it said the last two cars I got sold were sold to undercovers,
and my phone peened in the area.
So I never sold a car.
I never rented a car.
But I was in the area.
Could have been driving by anything.
But I was in the area
and on the lot, like fire the last sales.
So, yeah.
You should have got rid of that motherfucker.
I mean, if you didn't get caught too,
you probably would have, like,
kept getting more confident.
See, all this was in my early 20s.
Once my late 20s, I was chilling.
I was out the way.
I had my weed shit.
I had legal businesses.
I was out the way.
I was buying land, flipping flipping property.
I was doing the jit shit.
But that's why they say you got to be careful
because all that shit that, you know,
before back in the day,
might come back and that's what happened.
Yeah, I mean.
I hit seven years later.
If any, yeah, I mean, that's insane.
Because you, of course,
think that you got away with it
after that much time, right?
Probably didn't get away with it.
They was watching.
That's what it is.
They built shit on you.
Yeah.
They didn't watch for a long time.
The fed's not going to.
They don't get you unless they know that they're getting at you.
That's where they got a 90.
What is it?
98% success rate, but that includes plea deals, but, you know.
They stay and sit there and watch you every day.
They'll be on your block and you like, damn, I see that car every day.
That's the neighbor.
Yeah, that's how the state was.
The state had a, um, had a tanky-ass car with all black tint.
And then one day I told my homie, I'm like, what the f*** is this car always here?
Then you start seeing it more and more and more for a whole year straight.
And then like, damn, like two weeks later, that's when the house got hit.
But, yeah.
If there was undercover, like, sitting outside my crib,
I feel like I would know way earlier
because I'm in a WhatsApp group with my whole neighborhood
and they all just talk about weird cars
that they see on the street all day, every day.
So I feel like I might get tipped up.
You're at. Come sit down, man.
Lush one sticking his Mario-looking-ass head in here.
That's my guy right there.
Yeah.
I was going to be in the interview.
Lus, what's going on?
You want to join.
Join? Come on, man, get lush.
He's doing a 24-hour stream with an almighty suspect tonight.
The chair for lush, please. Thank you.
Grab that chair, lush, get on mic.
He's doing a 24-hour stream for his brother that's about to go do a few years right now.
Yeah, my boy, Suss, about to sit down for a second.
But he's going to, he's going to stay.
If it's non-violent, you do like 30% of your time.
Right.
Feds, you do 85% of your time.
I think it shit was violent.
Hey, thank you for those wings, first of all.
Amazing.
Gas?
Fire.
I got you a sauce bottle, too.
Yeah, where do you want to drink, Lush?
You want to drink the fresh sclercremosa?
I think that, I think that.
Oh, wait, hold on.
What's this?
And then we have a pink mirage.
Try all them shit.
Yeah, I'm going to try them all.
Let's go.
Damn, this is dope.
We got the Woods versus the Hoover's.
That sauce is hot as it.
Before GTS 6.
You should try it?
Wait, was that the sauce that was on there?
Yeah.
The orange chicken one?
Because there was a, it was a pavonero.
What was it?
What was it?
It's a spicy orange.
Yeah, yeah.
What was the other, what was the other side?
Oh, it was Parmesan.
Yeah, yeah, I thought it was garlic parmesan.
It was lemon pepper garlic.
Yeah, okay.
All right, remix.
Yeah.
That shit was far, I went out.
Gas pack.
He go hit him with the remix.
Think about that sucks.
You feel me?
Yeah, I mean, I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
It took it.
That's smack, bro.
I was like, first of all, there's wings of no jumper.
This is, this is a marked improvement.
And then I heard it was from like a resident booty.
You feel, me?
filmy Sharky who is literally like one of his main enterprises is the whole food thing
so like I know that it wasn't going to be no BS but then when I tried it fire you know we
play it we had a kind of no jumper you know food sauce juice clothes you know keep it play
no there's a lot of people that feel like they can't pull up without like empty-handed
I wasn't raised like that at all for me I go over your house I'm not bringing anything I
never even think of it but I know a lot of people that it's like you pull up you need
to have a marble rye so
Okay, so when you're the host, you take extra graces because it's not a part of your culture to...
I don't, but my girl does to such a crazy extent where it's like, if people come over,
she immediately starts apologizing for like, oh, my God, I would have had food and right.
Because this Armenian thing is like, we need to feed everybody.
But we don't have enough resources.
So it's preemptive apologies.
Yeah, yeah, well, because she's not thinking about it.
And I just have like five people come over randomly.
She doesn't come in and, you know, it's like...
We just had to show, you know, the internet, you know, how, you know, how we,
pull up, you know, we got, quote-unquote, bad rep, but, you know, we play it, we fly, we,
you know, we avoid altercations unless other, a promote, and otherwise.
But, you know, we fly, we play it, we like everybody else, we, house, we house,
kick back, everybody.
I think the hoover's are the aggressors.
Show everybody a good time.
It just seems like you guys are out here stirring shit up.
You're not just reactive.
So we just, we just going around just, when people.
Uh, not like people, but like, yeah.
That's darn shit up.
You guys are out here just sparking things.
off. Do y'all feel like y'all are misunderstood? Yeah, man. That's kind of what I was getting
from Sharky a second ago. It seemed like, you know, like, hey, we come in here, we on some fly shit.
Yeah, for real. But it's like, we always get the end of a stick like he just said. He felt like
we start, we start shit up. Well, look, I'm born and raised in L.A., right? And I wasn't even,
I'd only met a few people from Hoover prior to me coming to no jumper and meeting T.
T. Relevant. You feel like me? Like, it's, you guys are like your own world.
in the city, you know what I'm saying?
For sure. Every community is their own world, though, unless you brought into that community
and you really know, just like, you know, it's like nationality, races. You don't know how
this family is compared to this family unless you're in your world. You might see some bad
misleading information about them on the news, the internet, but until you actually know,
like, your own experiences, you don't really know if it's true or not.
What do you feel like was the biggest, like, positive look that the Hoover's had as a community
overall. What was like the big like okay like we was it school boys popularity or like
everybody everybody's doing everybody's doing good back on fig school boys so you think it's right now then
because I'm saying like in history like in history yeah from like just the limelight of the
positive no is probably right now we got a lot of positive stuff young threat was on GNX
we got podcast we got clothing lines we got record labels you just got to adapt like the streets
how the streets used to be he's been doing shit right now for sure so how threat
doing you good or what he's straight that's right free threat yeah that's a
crazy situation how well you know him uh I never met that he got all his shit
got popping when um while you're locked up huh yeah I got out he went in I know I'm
knowing that's my boy he's straight yeah he's gonna beat that shit hopefully
hmm yeah for his ass I can't believe that shit yeah no it's like it's
crazy going from like and it seems to be like a lot of because GNX went so raw with the
underground as far as like we're going to find just people that are still really relevant in the
city aka that could mean people that are if they're not directly like their people are still
super active in the trenches and the land type shit like it is different than a mainstream album
you're used to seeing things like that so to see someone go from being on a you know Grammy
winning album and all this
huge accolades to being in a situation like this is unusual you know yeah when I
when I was in the feds J and XNX was popping when they called me and told me
there was on the album like damn that's hard on the Kendra gabbling that's a
big that's a big placement I see was what Kendrick did for the city was he opened a
lot of doors he that was a you know it's shining light on there that's what he's
supposed to do yeah that was a good look man it's also like I feel like with
the internet now there's like a lot more hoover's that people like on the internet so
people like, you can't watch that job five lad interview and not be like, you know what,
that's a, that's a nice guy. He's got a good head on his shoulders. He seems like, you know,
like, he knows how to handle himself. He told me that he got everybody he ever met his whole life
including people he don't know hitting him up, just like wanting to fuck with him because they
seen that interview and they just thought he seemed like a good dude. So it's like, if the Hovers did
have like a reputation of just being like bad or psycho or some shit like that, I feel like
that kind of goes away as you like see more people that seem pleasant to be around and shit you know
and that's why i use the word misunderstood because you actually meet people from over there you know i'm
saying there's look when when a gangs get that big the reality is there's all different types of people
you can't even really just like quantify it in one phrase right because like it's so deep you can't even
you know what i'm saying but like but all right if you're going to make it as a hoover in the industry
do you need to like at a certain point
kind of put the beefs to the side
because realistically the Hoover's beef
with some of the biggest gangs in LA
and like it's just going to be tough to be
in these environments
with lots of other rappers and shit
without like being around people
that you're like traditionally
not supposed to get it wrong with right?
Just got to move accordingly.
Go respectful and as long as you get your respect back
as that's all what it is.
And then yeah shout out to whack
for having Jap on that tour too.
That's what I was thinking too.
That's a lot of just.
I appreciate Wack for pin the home me on, man.
That's a great look.
And I head up Wack this morning and said, hey, can we get BG2 Zanky on a couple of those dates?
And he just, boom, made it happen right away.
That's right.
Yeah, I talked, you know, just because, like, there's been random headlines attached to aspects of his tour, I talked to Wack for a long time.
He really actually working really hard and, like, in organizing that meticulously.
So that's dope that there's some aspects that are positive.
Yeah, when y'all do Wax, you and Wax, you all.
definitely want to come and ask
whack some questions and see how I can
improve as a manager.
And also I want to ask you, too, like,
how is it being a podcaster?
Like, what tips would you have for me since I'm
starting out podcasting on
my journey right now? How do you handle
branding deals? How do you pick your guests?
So are you starting your own podcast or you're strictly
a back on fig host now?
Yeah, back on fit.
Okay, I can't give you any advice.
I can't help you with that. I'm sorry.
Hey, realistically, though,
I could because I'm not.
Let's say what you're going to.
Because, because.
Since I brought Adam all these chicken wings and everything and came to
to say.
Okay, so specifically what, what are you looking for tutelage?
Like, so brand deals and stuff, that's complicated.
That's like, that is a tough part of it.
What makes you pick these brands over other brands, these guests over other
guests?
Like, what's your mindset about how you run your business and how you run everything?
It needs to start a kid.
I mean, for me, it's like, you got to look at
at the guest as like who's going to move the needle but realistically at this point in time like we do a lot of interviews with people who are like smaller where we're like kind of just doing it to just like i mean that's the flavor of the channel is that we just talk to a lot of underground rappers street dudes etc but then there's also the charleston whites and the you know like the people where you got to break bread and build those relationships and if you look at somebody like vlad vlad has like the best business in the podcast or youtube world basically because he just identifies people that
that he thinks he can have good conversations with over and over and over and over,
and then just builds relationships with them,
keeps it straight up from my perspective.
You know,
he tells them exactly what he can pay them.
If they want to raise,
he keeps it real with them.
He'll break open the books and say,
look,
like,
I can pay you this,
but I can't pay you this.
And he just builds up relationships like that.
And I mean,
that's the whole thing with the podcast world,
especially now,
is that it's all about relationships because you're competing with Tony Ayo and Joe
Budin and like,
all these people who either have big platforms or just like internationally famous.
Right.
So, I mean, I'm lucky because I got my foot in the door early.
Like, kind of Vlad could say the same thing.
Like, both of us, if we were to start now, we'd probably have a very hard time.
But we got into the game a little bit early.
But I feel like just building up those relationships is pretty much like the number one thing.
And what, like, makes you, like, determine, like, to pull the trigger when somebody
asked for bread?
Because this is a big platform.
and like just inviting somebody they should want to go for you know on their end their promotion but what makes you like how do you feel when people say that they want bread and what makes you yeah try to charge you good question i mean okay because a lot of people when it comes to charging like if you're going to ask to get paid for interviews you basically should like already have interviews out that make it obvious that you provide a lot of value you know because if you're doing like millions of views like in total between all your clips or
whatever, then yeah, you could probably ask for something.
But even in the case of like Ari Spears and Busy, when they recently left Vlad, like,
Ariz saw that Busy was getting paid $25,000 and all of a sudden got pissed off about the
fact that he was getting $4,000.
Now, $4,000 already, like, a lot for a podcast.
$1,000 a week?
That's good.
And you're not streaming.
But he's only pulling up like once a month, too.
Yeah.
Just for a 90-minute conversation.
So you wouldn't pay nobody to try to collab to do something with you to get your shit going?
If it makes sense, yeah.
But that's why I want to, I'm trying to understand more.
Yeah, you're going to make more money off of it, like off of YouTube.
I understand the, you know, everything about it.
But I just want to hear his perspective and what Adam thinks about it and what makes him the determining factors.
I definitely understand if it's better, you know, make your brand further out.
It's going to get you views.
Even if you just get a return on investment, you don't get a profit, is it worth it for your company to invest that money?
And I feel like I know why you're asking because,
T-Rill, I don't think it has ever really paid guess.
Which is a choice, you know, because on one hand, you can just move on respect.
Somebody like Shannon Sharp, Breakfast Club, they're not paying for guests, right?
But it kind of changes the economics of the whole situation, like, when you start, too.
Because I think that Vlad paying people is basically, like, the reason for his success up to this point.
Because, like, he gave $6.9.50K.
But he also said that he made more off that interview than he's ever made off any other interview.
It was a four-hour interview.
So it's like...
lips that come with it and everything else.
He probably made a lot of money off it,
but he got that look and was able to do that
because of the fact that he was actually willing to pay.
Now, he paid way too much.
And they immediately, like, for the second interview,
they immediately dropped the rate down like crazy.
But I mean, even for me with, like, Charleston White,
I just interviewed him as probably, like, our biggest interview of the year so far.
And it's like, I'm about to interview him again.
And it's like the amount that I paid him,
like the first time was like a no-brainer.
But then the second.
second time is like, I don't know, are the views going to stay as solid long term?
I kind of think they will because he's done say cheese a million times and always does super,
super good.
I mean, we talked about it basically on camera, but like he says that he gets 10,000 from
say cheese.
So that's what he charged me.
I'm like, okay, let's do it.
But I am kind of keeping an eye on the numbers to be like maybe at some point I have
to tell him, I can't pay him that.
So boom, you pay 10,000.
What is your mindset to recoup the money?
How do you do these clips, it's YouTube, what?
Yeah, I mean, to be able to put brand deals on it or whatever would be nice,
but then if you don't get that, you know, it's like if you do the clips and...
You do clips, clip, clips, then a whole full video.
Yeah, maybe you get 10 clips and maybe each clip makes $10,000, or it makes $1,000,
but then the full interview, maybe that's what you actually see the profit from.
You know, it's like, but I mean, because like, okay, T.H.F. Bezu is a dude from Chicago
that we interviewed, and he, like,
that was the most I ever had to pay for an interview ever,
which it seemed crazy to me,
but Remo kept telling me to do it.
He's like,
trust me,
he's such a legend in Chicago that,
like,
is worth it.
And so I did pay him 15 bands before he got killed,
and he did his first ever interview with us,
but for sure that shit was worth it
because every clip was doing like 300,000 views and shit.
And then he died out of it.
And he died a couple years later, yeah.
So that's like,
it's basically like anything else,
like investing in the business,
stocks,
you don't,
it's just how you gut feeling type shit.
It's just all about picking the right spot.
though to it's leverage like if they if they have enough leverage to ask for money
and it's more valuable for for your platform to have them over there that it would be
for any recognition they get from being over there then yeah you might
could have to cash out sometimes it don't work like Sean Conn from say she's paid
Ryan Garcia 15 K for an interview tell me it me it flop so hard like but but is
there like other benefits you can't see it like off rip like okay this is getting us
maybe his raising the overall value of the platform
we can now have this on our resume.
But part of the problem, though, is that...
Like basically saying you had this person.
Right.
And then when somebody else look at it, like, oh, yeah, them on there.
Exactly.
So they don't make them want to get on there.
Yeah.
And that's part of the whole thing with interviews, too, is that what interviews you do change
what guests you'll be able to get.
Like, Vlad, at a certain point, like, 10 years ago, he stopped interviewing porn stars,
even though Vlad is a horny f*** who wants to have sex with porn stars.
And he fucking...
He used to interview a lot of porn stars.
If you go look at Vlad's most popular clips, a lot of them are porn stars.
But I think at a certain...
point he realized
if I want to get
all these big ass celebrities and stuff
and they look at my channel and I got
porn stars all over it maybe that's not going to
necessarily be good in the long run which
but from my perspective it's like
what I'm a stop interviewing
gang members and drill rappers and shit I can't
do that that's the that's who I am
that's what I'm into that's you know but
EBK J-BO will never do a McDonald's commercial
yeah I mean like because like
they wouldn't want something like that
affiliated with their brand
possibly true
how do you guys feel about
so I feel like
the Texas Hoos have kind of like
become conscious
of their own existence they're on the
internet they're arguing they all this shit
going on and I feel like the biggest
thing has been like the fact
that they have some different traditions
and certain
people from LA like particular Gumby
feel away about that they feel
like there's standardized ways
that people are supposed to be Hoover's
and if you go against that, then that's all bad.
And they don't think that dudes from Texas should be able to call themselves Hoover as well
doing things differently than they would do it.
How do you view that?
You know, shout out to Houston, shout out Seattle, Oklahoma, Brooklyn, Portland,
Portland.
Everywhere I go, the homies embrace me.
What they got going on in their area, you know, that's what they got going on.
I'm not going to go nowhere and tell somebody to do, you know, X, Y, Z,
and they should be, you know, they're doing ABC.
type of shit, but it's certain little, little stuff, little things you could critique.
But other than that, I mean, you know, what they got going on for years and years and years,
you can't just go to somebody's house.
You can't go to somebody's house and tell them, oh, you're not cooking the chicken
right.
Yeah, you can't go to somebody's house and tell them live like this and do like that.
It's going to be little stuff you could critique, but you ain't going to switch their whole
program at just like they're not going to switch your whole program.
But I think part of what took it to a different.
level was that I think RealTune TV did an interview with Gumby and Gumby not even
Gumby but his homies were talking about what was it like if you have HCGG on you or is it
if you have like if you have it in the wrong order and you in LA they're not with it he's he was
damn near like yo we're going to if you really be spending time out here we're going to remove
that tattoo I'm from HGC he's from HCG so okay I don't I don't know what what Gumby had going on
That's my homie.
But I was in jail, so I never watched another interviews.
I don't know.
But I'd be in Texas a lot.
And all my homies out there, they show hella love.
They're hell of welcoming.
So I don't know what experience, you know, he got going on.
I don't know what transpired with, you know, with that stuff.
I can't speak on that.
That's a grown man business at the end of the day.
So I don't know.
But from my personal experiences, every time I go to Houston, it's orange.
It's wonderful.
You know, I'm out there every.
Every.
What are you doing?
out there so much buying hats no seven CDs seven cities man I got you yeah I mean
that was definitely like uh that's like kind of what made Gumby like a star on the internet I
think was that interview because no you just realize like oh this guy's got a lot of extremely
strong opinions and he don't give a little about saying it well I think that kind of like
is across the board for a lot of like legendary LA sections is like okay like we this is the land this
is where everything started. So everybody kind of got to look to LA for how to do things and what the
protocol is. And then when you so it's really on y'all because y'all are the ones, y'all are the
originators and y'all dictated it. Do you feel like a level of responsibility though? It's like we
got to kind of show the rest of the world how to do this Hoover thing. I'm not no no g homie. So I'm not,
you know, I don't I never brought this there or this that, you know, and I got kids, bills.
I got my own stuff, my own shit, I got to worry about.
However they've been doing it, wherever they had,
that's the way they go keep doing it regardless.
Can't go nowhere else and change nobody.
Jals see you soon.
There's got to be some exceptions to that,
but I'm not going to weigh it into doing hypotheticals.
Like, what if somebody out of town was doing this?
We go down that rabbit hole forever.
Maybe they feel entitled because of the hat.
They're like, yo, they've been wearing the Astros hat out there.
Like, you know, we should have some say, too.
Yeah.
You just got to go into the history.
You gotta, you know, go out there, speak to their G homies, talk to the homies that brought
it out there.
So much stuff that you gotta look into and stuff like that.
They grew up, they open arms with us type of shit.
But my personal experience is when I go to Houston, I'm going to Houston like 10 years
of everything.
I got friends out there.
I got, you know, everything.
Everything that's cool.
My experience has been wonderful.
I just came back out there from Tuesday.
What, day for yesterday?
I just came back.
I'm not going to go back Sunday.
No, yeah, it's a great vibe out there.
Very friendly people.
It's different than LA.
I like the chill shit.
Bring back turkey leg, cut.
Yeah, that shit is gone.
That nigga blew the people up next door.
Was he a drug trafficker or something?
He blew that business.
Nah, that's just down.
They was fighting over like some business shit.
That nigga went over there and bombed that.
Right.
Hey, but there is hell of like things going down over there.
Right there.
It's right here like this though, like right next door from each other.
Yeah, it was essentially like the no jumper.
no jumper of that shit was crazy.
Any of the fans, but I said too.
Oh, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, I never got a chance to go there.
I just always hear people talk about it. Like it was the fire.
Fire. Fire. Fire. Man. Damn. So how do you guys feel about like the current state of affairs that we have where it's like everybody on a street level is just reporting on everything that's going on in the streets?
Honestly, we've seen that with the Anne Hefe situation so much.
Because you got dudes from like from the hood of the dude who allegedly got killed and they're making YouTube videos telling the world everything that they know about it.
You got people like Flaco and Traplora Ross making videos giving out their version of events and then having that should be like completely disproven.
It just feels like everything is kind of wild out here now where like everything streetwise is just up for grabs.
People are making content about it.
just technology, the day and age that we are in.
Everything's going to evolve.
Different from when we had dial-up internet to where, you know, you got, what is the
Elon's internet?
Starling.
Starling.
Anywhere in the world and connect to the internet now.
So it's abducting to the day and age type shit.
Yeah.
But would you disapprove one of your homies if they decided they wanted to be a YouTuber who was
just airing out all the shit?
To each his own, whatever everybody's doing.
You know, that's, all I can worry about is.
myself, how I hold myself and hold myself accountable to what I do.
Can't worry about what somebody else does.
But this situation seems kind of crazy because it's like a dude making a, like a guy who's
like homie or somebody who know got killed, he's from that dude's hood.
And then he's making YouTube videos or Instagram clips basically saying, hey,
allegedly this is what happened.
And then lays out every single detail about it, which him saying that's not going to like
change the likelihood that they could get.
a conviction, but it's definitely like kind of a change of pace where it used to be, I didn't
see nothing, I didn't hear nothing, I don't know what the fuck is going on, now it feels like
shit has changed a little bit where now people are more open to just airing out whatever's
going on in the streets.
People been gossip in since the beginning of time, it's just more easier to get your gossip
out on a big platform.
Whatever, you know, whatever, that's their cup of tea, that's their cup of tea.
They want to have Dunkin' Donuts in the morning.
I can't tell them to go get Starbucks.
You made like a conscious decision to kind of stay away from that type of content
because like when I watch your content, you don't seem to be like in that direct lane.
I'm not saying you couldn't be.
I'll just be on some positive shit, play a shit, productive shit.
I don't like negativity.
I'm big and positive and negative.
I don't want to talk about someone's downfall, somebody's situation in a negative light.
I'd rather talk about something productive, talk about some food.
how your family doing.
Let's talk about sports.
We can talk about current events and stuff like that,
but just not everything has to be into a negative manner.
And then I'm not a lawyer.
I'm not know somebody that's going to,
I don't know what's going on,
and I'm not going to say my theory or my version of what I'm assumed
or such and such told me this and told me that.
That's not really what type of stuff that I'm into.
So food content like going to Marathon Burger.
Yeah, that was good.
It was good.
Marathon Burger when we went.
It was cool.
We ordered our food, sat there,
filmed our video. So what ratio troll versus like sincere content was this? Because it kind of felt like
it was both. Wait, say it again? Like it felt like it was a troll and it was like. Why was it a troll?
Because you guys are from Hoover, which traditionally would be for the neighborhoods and it's basically
a neighborhood burger joint. But you got to think about though how many how many gangs own businesses
that people go to that aren't branded or limelight, Marathon Burger is just trending in California
right now. Right. So it's known. It's viral. Let's go try.
I go to that burger spot, what's that burger spot, fresh and meaty.
I go there.
That's in the hood.
Who owns that?
I don't know.
It's right in their hood, though.
There's a lot.
There's a lot of businesses that are owned by people from certain gangs that people gravitate
toward.
It doesn't mean it's going for.
Definitely wasn't going to throw.
But that's a super prominent one that everybody knows what time is.
Everybody, that's like when he do fruit.
It's like somebody coming to California and wanting to go to Roscos.
They don't know who owns Rosco's, but it's a staple.
If this is on the news, if this is everywhere, damn, everybody's going.
Everybody's going here, man.
Let me try the food.
Everybody like to eat.
I think we were actually on stream when I saw that you guys went there.
And so that was kind of the conversation right away.
It was like, oh, is this sincere respect being paid to dudes from a hoodback?
He were doing the food.
I don't think it was.
You're in the comments responding to people and you're putting the K after the end in the response.
I mean, that's my regular text, though.
So you have auto correct to add a K after every end?
If I tell you right now, it's going to pop up NK for sure.
I actually believe you, but also that seems.
seems like makes it feel like more of a troll.
I say I have food in my mouth.
Yeah.
Right.
I NK.
Whenever you see me on Instagram regardless, if I put in, you go always see the K.
Right.
Not trolling, but for real.
I feel like that kind of changes the vibe.
But that's normal.
That's how a regular text.
Like, if I didn't be texting anybody, like my mama, I'm like, all right, NK, like, really?
I think you're going to see.
Y'all took it.
Y'all took it that way, but that's not what it was.
We invented what that stands for?
No, you send the trolling part, like I did it on purpose.
It's regularly. That's our text.
Right.
Well, can you see how it would be perceived that way to somebody that don't know, no better?
Right.
Like, that's not familiar with, like, Sharkey.
At the end of the day, I didn't even remember I even put that, right?
Remember?
Because I'm like, damn, look what they're talking about.
I said, shit, that was regular texting.
Like, I didn't do it on purpose.
Like, oh, woo to woo-woo-woo.
Now, we had a, we did the mic drop at Exotic Pop,
and it was right next to it.
So I said we might as well try Marathon Burger while we're here.
So we didn't go in there, tripping.
Let's try the pool.
Let's try the wings.
Let's try the Kool-A.
Were you like super on point, like moving around, like militant because you're thinking like anything could happen.
The fry cook could be looking at crazy.
We got to be on point when we come here.
We got to be on point when we go to Malibu.
We got to be on point when we go to Korea.
Life was a groove.
You might go to, you might be in Russia.
You got to be on point.
Yeah, but Russia, you're probably good.
I mean, it wasn't even not like that.
They was working there too.
So right.
Did Black Sam tap in or anything?
I think I saw a marathon comment, right?
I know Black Sam from jail.
You do.
Yeah.
Yeah, Marathon.
It was all good.
Yeah, he cool.
Marathon burger commented,
they said,
appreciate the review.
They said respect or something.
I appreciate the review.
No, that was good because, like,
I mean,
obviously, like a bunch of crazy shit
happened at the Long Beach opening.
If the food was whacked,
we would have said the food was whack.
Yeah, that's what I was.
It would have been a troll for sure.
They said, this is trash.
The bun.
The bun was crazy.
I like that bun.
The brand, the sauce,
the toppings,
the shrimp,
the wings, the juice.
It was good.
If it was white,
we would have said it was whack.
We would have been trolling.
If you said it was whacked, for sure you would have looked like you were just hating on purpose.
But if it was whack, it was whack.
Yeah, but it wouldn't have mattered.
You still would have looked like you're hating.
Thankfully he was fired.
No, it is really good.
But also it's like...
And that little blue juice?
Smashburger is not like the hardest food to make.
I feel like most of the smash burgers I had in my life were pretty good.
The attention to detail that Sam puts in it and the quality of the food, like I tell everybody,
it's a high quality fast food joint.
It's better than five guys.
Is it like a Wagyu filet mignon hamburger from a five-star restaurant?
No.
But if you're out of fast food joint, this is top tier fast food quality food.
It was good.
It was straight.
So do you see yourself as being kind of past the gang banging part of your life where
now you're just a gang member?
I'm always going to be where I'm from.
I'm always going to be active.
But I'm just, I'm an adult.
I'm 35.
I got kids.
I'm not tripping, but if you're tripping, we tripping.
You used to be super, super extra tripping?
I don't know.
Yeah.
Sometimes I'll meet people and they'll be acting real cool.
And then I'll mention them around somebody and they'll be like, well, bro, like,
Oh, he's one of them ones.
Actually, yeah, and I have seen music videos of you guys that are pretty aggressive.
But granted, I was probably like before you got locked up.
They still be talking shooting their music.
I'm just like, you know, there's levels to it, you know.
Like, he's so burnt out, and I love it for you.
But he's so burnt out that he could put the NK in his words in the comments.
And he don't even think.
that's aggressive.
I don't think he knows that he's putting it in there.
No,
that's what I said.
I don't.
It's like,
it's so indentured and that he's just saying it.
I've been doing this shit for a lot of years.
That's literally how you spell the word to him.
Yeah,
I mean,
when Critt Mac responds,
okay,
and it's not okay,
like it's something else.
I'm assuming he's not really thinking about it.
He's just probably,
the stream to light.
How does that work like?
So you sell tickets,
like,
no,
it's just a stream.
And for some reason,
they're going to try to do 24 hours.
I'm talking about the
Oh, you're talking about the lot show?
Yeah, yeah.
How does that work?
Yeah, that's just we got a theater.
I think it's like 500 tickets or some shit to sell it out.
And we did it before like three years ago.
We did a couple actually.
And yeah, I mean, you don't make that much money if you like price it reasonably.
Like if the tickets are like 40 bucks or whatever.
You don't make that much, but it's just to cover the cost of production.
Yeah, I mean, it's good for the fan base and everything like that.
Obviously, you could do whatever.
Like you could kind of turn it into more like a party and have people just.
Dean greets, they pay extra.
Some merch.
Yeah.
Search.
You know.
Yeah.
I got a meeting greet Saturday, too.
We're at.
What?
It's not even going to be out until after Saturday.
I was excited to hear that and then they got foreboding.
The silence is like in the juggle.
I mean, that's what it is with a mean greet.
You got to like, people are going to be there.
People are going to have to go there.
You're going to have to publicize it.
Yeah, they, DM be a lot of people DM.
DM you, they're coming.
That was that the one with 50 Blue?
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
That's lit.
For sure.
Let's see.
Do you even post it on your grammar?
Yeah, I posted it.
Oh, okay.
I'm looking for it right now.
Yeah.
He freaky up.
Freaky to look for their flyer?
Yeah.
That ain't in my story.
It should be in my story.
Oh, yeah, here it is.
Oh, hit up artists for the address.
So they're already, they're moving appropriately.
Need to know.
Damn.
So Swiftie blew like an honorary Hoover or what?
No, you ain't no Hoover.
That's my homie, though.
Yeah.
No, he's a fucking asshole for sure.
But I was always cool.
I'm a man, he just runs his mouth too much.
He was cool.
He called him to the news like a couple weeks ago after we had reported on him.
Yeah?
Yeah.
So, no, he was still.
He's the kind of guy where, like, he'd act like he's your best friend,
and then he'll be around somebody that don't like you,
and he just completely changes his tone up and just, he's like fake his f***.
So I can see why they're going to be fake to me.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if the green light is active still.
No, it's not.
It's not.
There's not.
There's not.
There's not.
There's not.
There's not.
No green light on Swifty.
Shout out my head
too greenlight.
Yeah,
except for Adams.
Yeah,
I might have to green light
them out.
Adam's got him greenlit.
You down to handle
something for me?
I don't do illegal
activities.
Damn.
I'm going to
find somebody else.
Yeah,
no.
Sharky is a guy
to pull up
with wings and possibly
the hose.
You feel like me?
You got a hose?
He married.
I was more thinking
of like a grand gesture
and not like you
won't be like
maybe back in the day
but not now.
I didn't pull up a food.
That's merch, sauce, juice.
Your girl, you were with her before prison?
I've known her since high school.
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
Did it get more serious, like, around the time you went to prison?
Yeah, once we got older type of shit.
It's probably important to how someone to hold you down in that environment.
That's just that.
You know, you get older, you want to settle down, tired of running the streets.
Yeah.
Find someone you want to be with.
Yeah.
No, that's real shit.
This is such a different sharky than, like, I've seen, like,
being interviewed over the years. This is like a very mature incarnate. Am I tripping though?
No, you're growing up. The dolls, 35, bought a hit 40 soon. You can't.
Got to grow up sometime. What they say, the definition of, uh, of insanity is doing the same thing
again. Expecting different results. Were you like just gone off drugs up until you went to prison?
I smoked a lot of weed and I used to sip a lot of drink, but I never did know.
You didn't do other stuff besides drugs, drugs. Was it hard to kick lean? You have to kick the cup?
I was up for like four days on my couch.
I was d-up.
And you did this on the outside, not like when you went in?
No, I stopped, I stopped sipping drink a couple years before I went in.
Oh, yeah.
What was it?
It was too expensive.
Like a motherfucker.
Make you too lazy, just drink and weed and you just...
All that shit do is put you to sleep.
You just down and it's not good for you.
I'll be more on my health shit nowadays.
Were you on suboxing for a while?
They got a lot of that in there now.
Oh, good.
That's my first time here.
about that shit.
Oh, okay.
You was all subboxing?
No.
No, because you really don't need subboxing to kick.
That's it.
That's to get you to hide.
And the feds, they got the suboxing program.
I never heard about that shit.
I didn't hear about spies.
What you might as well do.
Suboxing and none of that shit until I got into the feds.
This is, that's on it still?
Well, the problem is, it's very easy to get.
Then you addicted to that, and that's a whole other monkey on your back,
which I guarantee me don't want.
You feel of me?
Because that shit ain't cool.
Just drugs and drugs and subs in, but, so boxing?
Subboxin?
That's like a specific thing because they give us in the county jail.
If you come in and strung out, they give it to you the kick it.
But they don't kick it though.
They just keep using that motherfucker.
I'm going to take whatever they give me.
I'm strung out.
That's what I was.
I need you.
What I did like in there was the sleeping meds.
The Syracquil?
The brown pills.
They call it brown bombers.
I don't know the form of pyrical name.
Maybe someone in the comments can correct us.
Them motherfuckers is strong.
The brown.
The brown pills, they should have you sleep for like 12 hours.
Or did it tracadone you're talking about?
It could be.
I didn't know.
He's an hominac over here.
I've never done.
Them shes.
Them shit's put you down.
But isn't the Syracool like you do enough of it for a long enough time that it like
fries you permanently?
Yeah, that's a strong-ass drug.
That's what they say about big meat in the right?
I mean, yeah, that's like honestly, bro, back in the day that was like a 50-150.
That's like what they would give you in like the mental hospital type shit.
And that's what it is.
Yeah, that's literally what it is.
That's a psych drug.
Like, people that's crazy to calm them down.
A strong psych, a sedative.
But they put their ass to sleep, like, for hours, like.
And then you'd be hungry as I'm starving.
Would you ever do the, you've seen that dead homies paranormal activity?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Hey, I seen your, you went to the Figueroa.
Yeah, would you ever do that shit?
Hell yeah.
I'm trying to do it.
I keep telling us.
Most hunting.
You're right here.
That's folks in them, huh?
Oh, shit.
That's right.
That's right.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
It's like him, because I seen him laughing a few of my jokes earlier.
You're gonna get-
That's really all I need.
You funny, bro.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
Didn't you promote your shit with no jumper too?
Yep, so did.
Y'all hit me with the post.
Josh, shout out to y'all.
Appreciate y'all.
But yeah, Sharky crazy, man.
He went to the Hotel Figueroa, bro.
You know, the joke's right they self out of, you feel me?
Hotel Figueroa.
You come on.
Yeah, you know what I was it?
Perfect.
You're perfect, bro.
Right.
So did you see anything that felt haunted?
It was like weird shit.
Like the sink would go on and off out of nowhere.
The pool was shaped like a casket.
That's a reach.
There was a, no, if you look at it,
if you look at it, it's literally shaped as a casket.
Yeah, you gotta see this.
The doors, they had a fire drill when we went to the 13th floor,
but just on the 13th floor, so I don't know what that was about.
What you mean, like the alarm bell went on?
Yeah, and all the doors closed.
Like, it was weird.
I've been a lot of places, y'all.
I'm not going to lie, I've been to the Queen Mary, Hollywood, Roosevelt, all sorts of places.
But that hotel...
Been to the Cecil?
The Cecil Lush is crazy because it's a homeless shelter now, so they really anti-guess, but I'm pulling my strings.
I'm going to get us up in there.
It's pretend to be homeless. Let's pull it up.
I need you for that lush.
Yeah, I need you.
They changed it up because the CISO was a normal, like, it wasn't a normal hotel when I lived downtown,
but it was like, it wasn't a homeless shelter.
Now it's a shelter at them.
Basically, with all them demons, they put home.
homeless people that already got their own demons.
I mean, the image got so from that documentary.
Yeah, the documentary, Alyssa Lamb.
The girl in the water tank.
They found her in the water tank. They drinking her remains and shit.
On top of that, 50 committed suicide in there.
So you know what's some type of energy in there.
Paranormal.
But long story short, you know, we never really seen people like us do that shit,
let alone gang members.
So, you know, you put a gang member that ain't scared of this shit.
bro, it's original Lush,
putty, man.
We're gonna get poking there.
Where would you do your episode with Lush at?
The Cecil.
That's right.
Off the dribble.
I'm gonna pretend to be homeless.
I don't think it'll be that difficult.
You got that.
We all believe in here.
Yeah, bro.
It's the next thing coming out the city, man.
Y'all look out for it, man.
You got to spend overnight to get the band.
You think you could do it, Lush?
Oh, I definitely.
And you know what?
I don't care how many demons they consolidate
in that you feel
me? I scared
to know ghosts
do they say you feel me
do you even believe
in that shit?
I mean to an extent
like I know that there's
I know that there's things
that I don't understand
I'm intelligent enough to realize
what about you Adam
do you even believe in
not much of a ghost guy
he don't believe in Nathan
but I got a ghost gun
I got you
and the ghost energy drink
yeah you feel we was
we was in their lush
the homie porno
he was levitating
for real
his name's porno
yeah
Come away.
Light is a feather, stiff as a board pause.
My nigga, poor.
Poor, no.
I want to change my name to that.
That is an amazing man.
That is fire.
You can't take my name, bro.
It's too late.
You already had a, bro.
Yeah, you're right.
I'm going to hold that, yeah.
You can't take my name, bro.
You got him in 21, apparently.
No, I'm definitely not.
He's bigger than me, for sure.
I'm for sure bigger to you,
but I also heard you be talking to them things,
man from me, so I'll be chilling.
I'm out of the way.
Oh, them extracurriculars?
I've been talking to them hose, yeah.
You got the hush puppy?
Slush puppy.
I thought he meant
Tram.
This slush puppy
cup, yes, sir.
That's hard.
What you got in there?
Don't matter.
It's in my cup.
Worried about your cup.
My cup.
Shit, so what's your deal?
What you mean?
What's my deal?
I rap, I cook.
I do a whole lot of everything.
With your hands?
That was aggressive.
You feel me?
I'm Perry A. P.
And the P is for porno.
I do it all, Jack.
I like that.
You watch a lot of porno?
No.
Now, how did you get that name?
Selling porn throughout the valley.
I'm from right here.
I'm from North Ridge.
You feel me?
So how do you sell porn?
Like bags?
Yeah,
bro,
when I was growing up
I was selling magazines,
DVDs, all that,
you know what I had it out
the trunk.
Wow.
And long story short,
I got it from the hummies,
Popsie on this porn company,
you feel me?
Yeah,
no,
it wasn't vivid.
Shut up.
Shut up.
Shut up.
Shut up.
It was livid on the first thing.
It didn't even going to talk about the company.
That it don't matter.
You feel me?
Yeah.
I found them niggas at school
that wasn't getting no ass
and I exploited the fuck out of the n'em
right up.
You feel me?
Oh, you want this?
I got it. Give me 20 bucks. You feel me. It's going to cost you 40 at the snow. You feel me? Maybe 50 because you're underage.
You went to Taft? No, I went to Cleveland. Okay. I mean, I bounced around, but primarily I was at Cleveland.
Okay. How would you feel Adam if you was in high school and you had to go link with this big black gentleman who did pornos in high school?
I mean, when I was in high school, it was like the early days of being able to get porn on the area.
Well, you graduate? 2002. Okay. So yeah, you graduated, what, five years?
years before me six years before me I graduated 08 yeah you feel me so you remember the time day
and age when it was real early you couldn't get porn on your phone when I was in elementary school
and shit like we wanted to get porn so bad but we like couldn't go into a porn store or anything so
we would just find it like Napster because I know I'm like real life like a dude would have like
one page from a porn on magazine and we'd be like passing it around in school just to look at it
you know you was doing more to look at it you freaky that was beating off too yeah I bet
I was like him and six of his homies circling around the end.
Look here, man, I ain't got nothing to do with that.
I wasn't known that.
I was just selling it.
I'm not mad.
You're doing God's work.
Yes, sir.
Thank you.
Thank you, porn.
A homie hopped in a whip one day and he was like, bro.
You always got porn and miscellaneous shit in the car.
I'm going to start calling you porno.
I was like, I'm like, bro, don't call me that shit, bro.
Hey, but did it get a little weird at a certain point when you, like, learn people's
proclivity?
He's like, hey, the homie, like, he like, he like, he's like, light skin blowjob videos.
Hey, hey, there's a new one.
I mean, look, look, bro, I'm the type of a nigga to each his own.
Tiana Trump just dropped.
Look here, bro, what you like is what you like.
As long as you got some chili for it, we don't do it.
But you're memorizing.
Oh, God.
Okay, bro, I sold a nigga of 400-page book of anime porn.
For how much?
7-50.
Bro, that nigga, he wanted him.
Sharky, it wasn't you, right?
Just to clarify.
No, it wasn't him.
The homie was Cambodian.
I hope it wasn't.
The homie was Cambodian.
Nah, you feel it.
7-50.
Damn.
Bro, I was taxing niggas on that shit, bro.
$40 a video, bro, you want a 400-page book?
Damn, I wish I thought of that.
I mean, you know.
Well, I worked at the grocery store, and one time I stole a carton of cigarettes,
and I thought, like, almost sell these in school.
And you smoked in bitches.
I never smoked cigarettes back then, but two problems.
Number one, I stole filterless cigarettes because I didn't know what I was getting,
which the only person I ever known in my whole life was from a filterless cigarettes was
Sharp?
Brigg, baby.
Oh, yeah.
Rick would rip the filters off the seats.
But also I brought it to school and I'm thinking I could sell these for like, you know,
if they're like 10 bucks or I don't know how the cheap that were them, but like I'll sell it for like half.
It's crazy you say that.
Nobody was going for it.
It's crazy you say brick we used to rip the rip off, uh, rip his cigies.
My nigga Doey used to rip the front off of every cigarette.
Every single Newport.
He buy lungs and he ripped the front off that bitch.
Man, it just tastes different.
Yeah.
Recipes to my nigga Doey.
I mean, imagine if somebody tried to give you a blunt with a filter, you'd be like, what the hell you're talking about.
When I didn't know how to twist up, one time I all had a black and mild and I just,
yeah.
You just like, and then stuff stuff to all the things.
That worked.
It hit all right.
Yeah, it smoked straight.
It works, right?
Yeah.
It smoked straight.
I remember being in Russia and girls trying to do that with cigarettes.
Like trying to like empty out the tobacco and then like crush weed and put it like that.
And it illegal for having weed in Russia.
Yeah.
But everybody has some weed.
Oh, yeah, because the basketball player went down out there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Ain't that shit illegal?
What's the road?
But this was like way before that.
And I was just hanging out with girls that were like partying shit.
And they would be hell of low-key about weed, but everybody has some weed.
Yeah, no, it'd be out there, but there is definitely considerable penalties.
Like, it's not like getting caught out here.
That's why when I went to Korea, I didn't bring no weed.
Yeah, they tripped.
Yeah, I'm not bringing weed to Asia or.
No, but see, I brought two zips to Thailand.
Yeah, and this was before they had the weed shops out there.
Oh.
I brought two zips to London.
And then like Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica.
I brought a lot of weed all over the world.
And in a lot of the situations, when I look back on it, I'm like, that was insane.
Like, what the fuck was I think?
Yeah, it was crazy.
The jankiest spot you got.
Japan.
What?
Oh, yeah.
I brought a lot of wax to Japan.
Brought or bought?
Brought.
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're a different type of dude.
Yeah, I just didn't think it was that bad at the time.
Was it 20 years for a joint?
This was like 2011 type of shit.
Dubai, Korea, Japan.
You brought it to the,
No, those are the places that I would not bring weed.
But my crazy shit was in both Japan and China.
You could just smoke weed out in public.
And the cops, like, there's so little weed that they don't know what the smell is.
And people smoke in China and shit, they smoke a lot of weird shit.
They smoke like all kinds of, in America, most of the cigarettes kind of smell the same.
Out there, tons of weird shit they're smoking.
So, like, we would be smoking blunts in public and nobody would even look at us twice.
Because the whole country doesn't really know what a bottle.
backwood smells like when I was smoking weed in um and uh in Paris I brought some
jungle boys everybody was coming up to me where's that where'd you get that how did you get
that out here let me buy some of that I had some gas when I was out there but like to
smoke in like China or Japan like that's that will give me anxiety while I was smoking
but going through customs with that is insane I ain't never had them problems I can't
lead a country yeah I feel that you know we got to get you on a we got to we got to
Get something expunged because we need to us
to make a national tourist player
change your perspective.
Man, look here, y'all figure out a way to do it.
Let's do it. I'm down.
So, okay, you said at one point to me
that you wanted to squash things with me
and T. Rowell? No, I never said that.
I think you did. You said, let me
help me fix things with you.
I asked him the DMs what happened
when I was in jail, but
we ain't fin to talk about that shit.
Remember So Tadaboy's Lish?
Yeah. We got one of the
The members right there too.
I remember him.
That's right.
Okay.
I see him.
I saw him.
So, Tad Boys.
The other one, I think he would trip you right now.
I think they're on tour or some shit.
Okay, it wasn't as bad.
You said y'all need to make up already, L.
That's pretty, like, ambiguous.
That's not like, I'm going to fix it.
Yeah, that's not really, like, assuming too much responsibility.
It's more just like.
No, that's just saying this shit went on for too long.
Get that shit over with.
I agree with that.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean.
question is, is you gonna do it.
I already tried to squash it with him.
You don't want to squash it.
So I just told them what my stipulations were.
I'm like, you need to apologize to me.
And then we'll do a podcast together and then we'll be past me.
Yeah, niggas is grown-ass man.
We ain't apologized or we can just let bygones be bygones and keep it pushing.
Apology is a lot.
I need certain stipulations in order to make myself feel right about it.
And I can't fight him.
Go let Sipano if I'm.
Shit, why you can't fight him?
You grown.
I can fight it.
Because he got a limp-ass noodle for her arm.
I got a noodle arm.
You got a noodle arm.
That's an excuse.
Well, that's his excuse.
He can always squabble.
What about y'all just like...
You want me to squabble him or right?
What about y'all talking off cam when nobody's there and there's no influences and it's just like the two of y'all chopping it up even if it's over the phone?
Yeah, maybe I'll pull up on him.
I might just pull up to the podcast.
That's probably like realistically one of the best ways that if that's really what fool's objective is.
Just like talk.
Do you think that you could arrange that?
You got enough pull over it?
brother?
You know, what it?
Do you feel like Smacks replacement?
No, that's my brother.
I'm just adding on to what they got going on.
I appreciate the opportunity.
Appreciate the opportunity they gave me and I'm just trying to get in where I fit in.
Okay.
But so Smack, you think he's got, he's going to be there for a while?
Because sometimes it feels like they're getting sick of them.
That's broke.
You know, Heyman T.R.
Got that brought that up.
And, you know, they got stuff going on.
stuff going on they doing they doing good so if he told you like I want you to
replace smack would you be like okay you can't do no hypotheticals you know I'm
just I'm just adding on to what they got going on I appreciate the opportunity
and yeah every Friday you know catch me on back on feed I'll say this probably
like one of the biggest like power moves they made in a fat minute like as far as
the new roster editions why would you say that they lost macwap
macwap was part of it Heather was part of it that's why I said in a fat minute
And as far, like, Heather was there from the beginning.
That's his girl.
But like, as far, like, Macwop and them, I always, I know they were under the umbrella
technically, but they really been their own entity.
And they were like just affiliates and all that.
Like, that's how I viewed them.
And then they kind of just became their own thing or whatever.
But I feel like as far as somebody who has, I felt like me and Sharkey are similar because, like,
my presence is a no jumper.
I added a lot, like, and what I brought to the table and like a new perspective and just
dedicating myself primarily to that.
Like, I've sensed that energy from here.
Like, you know, I'm focused on.
I'm going to be over here.
What's the best thing I can do to build my repertoire and content over?
That's the way I feel about over here.
You feel like me?
So that's why I feel like there's similarities.
So I feel like that is a power move when you got someone that already has their own thing and their own reputation.
But they can, yeah, I'm not trying to glaze.
But I feel like it's a big move for Beck on Fig and Sharkey.
It makes sense for both parties.
Appreciate that.
Appreciate that.
Yeah, podcasting is fun.
It's cool.
Seems like it's popping now.
Gotta stay productive, stay positive.
I like it.
It's fun.
Are you associated with the Mexican restaurant chain?
Sharky, that shit, that shit gas.
You tried that shit before?
I used to drink at Sharky's.
In Manhattan?
Yes.
That shit, oh my God.
So one night I was over there, they got this shark drink with the little toy shark in it.
Oh, my.
I didn't think that shit was strong, so I drank like three of them blacked out.
Oh, yeah.
I used to be blacking out down there a lot, the Manhattan Beach.
That little strip right there.
That shit's cool.
that's just play it now i live in the valley and they got sharkies like kind of a lot of places but it's
just food that's different though right or is that the same i don't know i think it's the same that's not
the same change it's just where the some of them are like a nightclub like they would be selling
sections and shit like it was no no the one in manhattan beach is like special that's like a flagship
get wasted location yeah and you could like they have like a jukebox and they have like two pox
songs the cuss words on there i don't think other sharkies have that and this is like they're a little
more corporate but interesting
Um
Have you
Do you have any kind of like
Preoccupation with Sharks or not?
Uh, no
I got the name was in high school
I was from a little click called
Beach Boys
The beach, that's hard
Some people from like
Long Beach, Compton, L.A.
And then like we like through parties
and shit like well fun shit
Do you used to listen to the Beach Boys?
Not a little everybody's surfing
Bro, the beach boys is so hard
Wouldn't it be nice
What is Jackie Chan saying
rush hour?
The Beach Boys
Great American music.
I watched the Beach Boys documentary
recently.
It was amazing.
Brian Wilson's the man.
Amazing artist, yes.
What was that on Netflix?
Maybe Hulu, something like that.
Yeah.
It was really, really good.
Okay, so now that you're
out here, free man,
I'm happy that you're out here
living life.
What are your big goals
that you want to check off
over the next year or two?
Just try to get established
in this new little world
podcast more.
food content, food reviews, management.
I want to get into that.
I'm starting that.
I got a couple artists right now.
Just slowly exit out the music and gravitate towards the business side.
Play more like behind the scenes and that stuff.
And I think it's more easier and more fun to navigate with behind the scenes and all that kind of stuff.
So you're, uh, you're kind of over the actual rapping.
Are you still rapping a little bit?
Um, no, I like it, but it's just not, it's just not fun.
When you know, when you're younger, it's fun.
Oh, let's get everybody getting music together.
But like, if my friends ask me for a verse, I'll do it.
But like, I'm not going to like wake up and be like, oh, I got to go to the studio.
More it's like, oh, I got to go to this food festival.
I got to get these, these artists, these influencers on,
on the podcast on Friday.
I got to do this.
I got to do that.
I got to.
But there's a time, though,
you had serious momentum with the music.
You know what I mean?
And then obviously,
I know that there's legal situations
that transpired that, like,
literally physically took you away from the booth,
but that's really the only thing.
And I know there's also label interests
from different things and that, like, you know.
But I found it hard to believe
that you really don't have any hunger left as a rapper, bro,
because you was dope.
I mean, like, when we,
When we're in the group, we had an offer from Atlantic, but they took it away because my
homie was about to go to the prison.
And when I was doing it, it was fun because I had all the bread.
Like, I could do whatever I want.
I had a budget.
But now it's like, you know, it's expensive.
Studio time, beats, music videos.
If I had a label that we could, you know, figure out some kind of business deal, do something,
I would definitely do it.
But just like, just to do it to do it, like, I don't.
It's not like, like I said, I don't wake him down and hit the booth or.
I don't know if people realize the extent to which people just like the bubble has popped on being a rapper so much over the last 10 years in the sense that like every, the other day I was watching like an interview with a rapper.
And he was like listing off to the person who's interviewing all these other things that he's doing business wise.
And he was like, yeah, because you know you ain't really going to make no money from me.
music. And as I'm, as I'm, well, this is going to say that, I'm like, it's insane that people
know that now. Because everybody thought that rappers were all richest for so long,
and everybody thought that becoming a rapper was how you're going to be able to, because, like,
thinking about us doing music streams in 2017, 2018, every day, hundreds, hundreds, hundreds of
people who wanted us to listen to our music, that shit does not exist the way that it used to.
Like, people have a much more realistic perspective on how much.
But now they all think that every streamer is super rich.
That's like the new thing that people have like a fake idea of how profitable it is.
I think that's like the new wave.
And then like with the music too, all the streaming platforms.
And people don't understand like labels aren't giving you a million dollar advance no more.
You'll be lucky to get 100 bands.
Super lucky.
People are signing for 10s, 15s, 20s.
And the amount of work you have to put in and the money you have to spend to even recruit their money then for you to get in the profit margin is just.
Like, if you don't get that breakout hit, it's like, it's really, you have to do other stuff.
You have to dip into other ventures.
You have to do the merge.
You have to do the content.
People to understand how much work and how many other things you have to do as an artist nowadays to make yourself profitable and to get you to get you to the next level.
And everybody thinks that you're going to be able to become a rapper and you're going to start making money.
And then you're going to take that money and you're going to fund the rest of your career.
and you're just going to keep making money in funding your career like that.
And that is so not how it works for the most part.
Like the same way that if you were to start a restaurant,
you would probably need like a couple hundred grand
to be able to get the spot,
outfit the restaurant,
make it look cool, buy all the supplies,
take care of payroll, rah, rah, ra, ra.
Renovations.
Pay a graphic designer to come up with everything, you know?
And I saw a tweet today where somebody was like,
if you are a rapper and you want to make it in the rap game,
you need a quarter million dollars.
just to figure out if you have a chance.
Yeah, I was going to say that's if you suck.
Just to get yourself into enough people's eyes that they could kind of even like,
you could even start to have an idea of like,
oh, are people going to latch on to my shit?
Think about that.
Like that is not the rap dream that we were sold on.
The rap dream we were sold was you have like five grand maybe from the streets and
then you could just be a rapper and you're just going to make a ton of money and you'll be fine.
But what you do again from rapping is social equity and influence.
Like if you have a big.
record that's popular that
yields power. But that's why you're all saying you have
to capitalize off your momentum and off your
popularity. If you're not branching off into other
ventures and slowly rely
on the music, it's not going to get you nowhere.
Thanks. At least starting off, yeah, for sure.
I feel like the model
that a lot of platforms like mine
or Joe Budden or whatever have, which is basically
like, hey, if
I could get 10,000 of my fans
to pay me five bucks a month,
that is so much more valuable than
just making money from streaming or YouTube ads.
or whatever.
And like,
uh,
I think that is the model that I would love to see more rappers take serious.
Like a rapper who comes out and has motion and people are really with them.
And he says,
yo,
to my fans,
I don't want to sign to a label,
but you could like be a part of this or like if you,
if you subscribe to my Patreon or my YouTube members or whatever,
just the five bucks a month or whatever,
like I'll give you early access to my music and I'll give you incentivize it.
like all this shit or whatever but i would way rather have that kind of fan base
than have to constantly worry about like if i'm going to be able to make whatever from from
streaming or whatever i think the next dope rapper should try to basically like crowd source his way
into the game you know that's like what the restles model's been for the past several years but
but ultimately also is if you're going to do that you have to give them more than just music
regardless it'll be additional it's not going to just be based on his very rare that someone could be like
Playboy Cardi and it's just like, oh, the mystique of my music and I dress like a vampire.
I don't think that even, I don't think I was even possible anymore.
Damn near not.
I was like a totally different time.
I think that was kind of like the end of that too.
Pretty much.
I don't really see that happening too much anymore.
But a lot of rappers like, you know, I was just watching the interview with that kid fake mink.
It's like he's got aura image, you know?
It's like he's not doing interviews.
It's just he seems cool as.
No, and there's a few, there's a few like artists like that.
But that's kind of rare.
And then you have some.
So a lot of people have some type of cosign.
But if you seem like you're someone who's just hanging out on the internet,
just like everybody else all day looking at TikToks and YouTube and shit,
I just feel like that is so profoundly uncool to the fan base
that you're just not going to be able to cultivate the aura that you need as an artist
if you're just constantly putting yourself out there in a way that makes you too accessible.
Either way.
This is phenomenal.
We do got an album too, though I forgot.
Big side records.
This is my new click.
That's the, I'm about to get this tag.
Yeah, what I'm having to jail.
Okay.
We got this shit too.
Hell yeah.
He's managing.
That's crazy too.
Speaking of music, we were supposed to bend drop this, but we couldn't get it finished before I went in.
But we dropped the deluxe version of rush hour.
We got all the joints we did with Trayway.
And we got new stuff on there.
Fire.
All the new shit.
Yeah, so.
Damn.
What?
Oh, somebody crossed you out on the basketball.
basketball whacked out in this whole building did it you can't tell oh shit poke is triggered
because the rolling 90s crossed him on the basketball bro that's what we got to get the basketballs
we specifically tell people to not we gotta stop having shit that people can tag because there's hell
of shit whacked out on this now yeah they're whacking this whole thing now they don't like you bro
i didn't that nobody you know sorry about that that's not cool that's not cool got the best
We ain't going to whack nobody out, but we're going to put some stickers on them.
Oh, that's a great idea.
It's definitely, it's already a war zone up there anyway at this point.
We're going to take these down, except.
Yeah.
Oh, shit.
He might, he might.
Shit, all right.
Bro, then he's taking the ball with us, bro.
That's going.
No, that's out of here.
All right.
I mean, the basketballs, I feel like they're, like, already, like, the basketballs.
They're so filled up.
Nobody else but to hung me, bro.
That's part of being a Hoover is people want to like you out of this, right?
A lot of times I don't see what they're doing
Not nobody
They're just
Like somebody brings a marker
If anything you would have like film that
And put it on Instagram right
Like you're like something like that
Like
It is
Grimy
You know what else is gang violence
Yeah
And poke has done a lot of that
So
Damn
How you know Adam?
Um
I've seen some clips
You know, some clips?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've seen active clips of him performing
GameVarimal?
He got footage, yeah.
When you have Rolex,
Shane's like the one poke you had before,
that's the biggest Rolex chain
in L.A. history.
Legendary, I bet you ain't never forget about that one.
No.
No, me gang.
Lush, I got a bone to pick with you,
right?
Talk about it.
Oh, let's go.
Hey, yo.
Robbie DMing you, where you don't be hit,
be bad.
Oh, fuck, I ain't see him.
That's a fake love, man.
That's that fake love, right?
Nah, nah, I'm, I'm like the lead.
janky in this building, to be honest.
I'm probably like you're...
The least jenky.
No, but you're the most likely to promise you something and then leave you outside
with a cake.
Because I'm making...
You're not doing that.
I'm literally making...
I'm making very strong efforts to get people that I believe in on.
I'm going to say that.
Yeah, fuck with you, man.
