brother, because I know it's always a little different, you know, when you get to sit with one of your kinds. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Give me a little bit of background on you. Man, I was, man, moms, I'm definitely a child of the game, you know what I mean? So, moms, the whole parental unit was in the game. Everything you think of, I'm a child of that. So they was getting it. Product of that.

Yeah, they was getting it. For sure. For sure. So moms had me on the West. Mons from California moms took me to Washington, born in Washington, took me back to California, took me to New Orleans. back to California, back to Washington. Mom went to the pen. I was in New Orleans.

She moved around so much for them. Because mom's in the game. It's a trip because I look at, I know we got similar. I'm a little older than you, but we got similar backgrounds when to get to a point in life of dealing with the game with different things. So my mom now that I look back on it, my mom was like one of these girls I'm looking at now, like, oh, you know what I'm saying? When I some years ago, I might have been interested to doing some type of business with.

And if she was the type that, I'd be like, well, Hey, hey, hey, hey, look here, I'm going to need you to drop your son off. You know what I'm saying? If not, then I'm a babysitter. Right, right, right, right. I really wasn't interested in being a babysitter. So I see how my mother, you know, as much as we glorify our mothers, like, I love my mom, my mom lace me with a lot of game.

But I look at it now, and that's our mom, my mom, I'm looking like, hey, mom, you was out here, you know what I'm saying, twisting it. The only thing is I can say from you, I didn't see you piz-nay and all kind of disnudes. You feel me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, my so-called pops, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. and other than that, she had people, but I would notice the differentiation

of when people came over, how they were set up. So they wasn't up in there, yeah, woo, woo, but running, so I give her that. Even in retrospect, now that I know what was going on. Back to what you were saying, back to what you were saying, like with the, you know, with a woman, like just with your mom teaching you a lot. Believe it or not, man, you know, in life,

women gonna teach you a lot of things, positive or negative. I mean, that's just what I think it come with, man. You know, I can't say I've ever really learn too much from man. Yeah. And 20s wasn't even out yet because I was on 18-inch interiors and his BMW touring wagon at the G-Homies had me in while we was working on my album. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. But we in the Bay, and me and Drew hit the track, and my homeboy him from Richmond,

from South Richmond, from the Manor. We had to track, and I hadn't experienced that type of he's naive, he's naive knowing at that pissing. It was 30, 40 different females and women on each corner on Oferro and Geary in San Francisco. I seen the police smoking cigars on the corner tolerating it. I seen shuttles of women pulling up, you know what I'm saying? And I seen Mackin and full on pimping on the blade. You know what I mean?

You got to think about it. Back then, excuse me, people think that even, back then like oh man you know motherfuckers just making a couple dollars for their rooms motherfuckers just trying to survive i think when they start getting pissed off is when they start seeing that motherfuckers was living better than them that's when it became a problem man when you know you're going to bust a motherfucker and he got seven houses yeah eight nine different cars you're ready to turn it all over in different cities you know what i'm saying and things like that's going to make any other that's going to make any person jealous i don't give a fuck if they

the law whoever they is man it's going to make a motherfucker turn the nose that you especially something that they can't understand, really they just can't do. Facts, big facts, and advice be one of them. They really be the ones, hey, when they come crashing in people's doors. You're not supposed to have nothing bigger than them? No. Nothing flier than them. Hold on.

I'm going to tell you it was a trip then because I literally had blue chucks and Blackies and Blue World Bands on the track and got chin nose. You know what I'm saying? First time, I had already been doing stuff. That's another story in high school because somebody was out of female that was doing what she was doing on her own and put me up. You know what I'm saying? I didn't know where it was coming from. She was, you know, I was like, okay.

You see how it started for you? That's why I went back to saying like the woman, man, she's going to teach you a lot even when you don't really see it. You know, she's going to always try to give you her game. Because somebody going to see something in you that you might be too, not mature enough to see in yourself yet. But the funny thing is I was born in the game. So it was one of the situations where it was like, okay, I know I got this, but I didn't even want it. You know what I mean? That was what it, my family tree,

because this is the drug dealer, thugs and killers. You know what I'm saying? And Max and Pips and screaming, fuck, they feel us. For real, though. So that, I wanted to aspire to do something greater. But once the shit hit the fan and somebody was bringing me, you know what I'm saying? That Gwitnop.

Yeah, it's different, man. It's different, man. It's supposed to do. It hits different. It hits different than anything. When I was playing it, loved one, it gives you a different type of feeling than drugs, selling drugs, robin. Yeah.

Stealing whatever the case may be that people go out and they get them adrenaline rush. Because you see people that are kleptos, it's an adrenaline rush. To steal something in front of you, you know what I'm saying? Like it's an adrenaline rush. So to touch that kind of money and you know it coming fast cash, man, I don't care what it is. It's something that you just, hey, use your mouthpiece for? Man. Come on, man.

Like, it definitely does. It gives you a different perspective, man, on what the fuck going on in life. And like you said, dealing with different vets in the game and being young. and growing up and having a certain tone that I was like, okay, this is what I'm doing. You know what I'm saying? I'm on this, I'm a rip with Maggie Dex. I'm a young Mac. Okay, this is who I am

because of this aspect. I've been through the streets that are banging, the streets that are slanging and seeing the G. Homies do shit. I left the country, made it. I had to aspire to do something else, so I got it to the tree, still doing my music, doing everything. But when somebody came at me, it was a position. You're taking a 20-year-old

young man 19 years old, 18 years old, and somebody bringing you a level of money that you can't even turn. down. In your teens at that. And I've said this before, man. I say this shit all the fucking time because it's funny that you hear this shit in people's stories.

Everybody that I've gotten to meet with, don't come from money. No. Don't come from bread. So when you come from getting a pair of shoes once a year, you had to wait until Christmas or something to get another pair, you know, to, now you can go buy and you can obtain almost anything that you want to go grab, you know, you're going to buy a five, six pair. You never had it before. So now you're trying to catch up on the shit you never had, man.

When you be seeing the niggas walking out the ball with four, five, you, hey, man, he's just trying to catch up. Bro. He ain't happy, man. I'll tell you, hey. He's trying to catch up from the time he didn't have it. Tommy, they had a long way from putting the paint on the shoes. When we had the black and the white paint, when we had the one pair of shoes.

Hell yeah. I remember the first time. That was that fucking, uh, that whiteout out. The white out shit. Yeah, the whiteout and the whiteout in the blackout. It was like Palmer's or somebody made that shit. It came in a white bottle. We squeezed it and had the little sponge.

The little sponge. And everybody knew because everybody used it. So it wasn't like we was in a different situation where everybody wasn't using it. Right. You know, I trip, bro, the first time I went to Louis Vuitton and bought something. I remember the first time I walked in to Louis Vuitton years ago, I was with Nipsey. Me and Nip walked in on Jayceon on game at the Beverly Center. This is years ago.

And I remember I was having a difference of opinion with him at the time. And I walked in with a different energy. And Nip was like, bro, don't trip. I was like, okay. So I walked in. them niggas was up in there falling with the champagne. I had never did that yet. I'm in there saying, oh, now this is years ago.

You was ready to folk a little bit. Man, what? I was like, ooh. When I seen the player shit, I felt stupid, huh? Yes, when I seen the player shit going on, it superseded what was going on, and then Nip had a different relationship going on,

so I want to go step on little bro shit ever. So we walked in there, and they was drinking, and one of the other homies, I think he was from Hoover. And he was like, what's up, Dray, who was love. So then Nip came over and started talking to me and Jason Young spoke and Nip started talking to him and then QD3's one of his directors from his show came over. Trey Adam I believe handed me to glass gave me to I'm toasting now

I said okay this with this shit feel like so fast forward years later the first time right yeah yeah I'm like okay oh this is player so it's funny when a lot of us don't experience it and we be ready to speak on other people not knowing what that different level is but the first time I'm in Louis buying two pair of shoes and when they broke it when they told me it was 1800 or almost two bands. And now one pair of shoes would be two bands. Don't let that surprise you. You got some on his feet right now.

Yeah, some little steps. Yeah, for sure. And the first time, this is years ago, I was red in the face. You know, we bright-skinned something. I was red in the face. I was like, who. And I had the bread.

Had stupid bread. But I never spent two bands on two pairs of shoes at the time. Might have been 2100, 200, it was like 900 a piece or something. and they were just mad, I wanted both. With the same style. Yeah, but it was the first time that later, making a different level of money was just the norm. And it got kind of corny when you know

if you were in a position with somebody you were hustling with. And now your birthday presents are a brightling, a Rolex, some Gucci, some Louies. And get to a point where it's like, well, you might want something that's just a ping pong paddle with a ping pong table. That's flyer because you can go get that because the level of the bread daily you make

and you can get that yourself. So it gets kind of numb to the materialistic part. And then I would be going to the studio over there, people like, where are you going? I'm like, to work, where you fly? What else you want me to wear? Right. You know what I'm saying? Like, this is what it is now, you know what I'm saying?

But I think a lot of people that didn't understand. And I like to address too, like when people, you had the gang members who would get in the business, you know, with the women. A lot of them was past guerrilla. It was just get to Vegas. They was fucking Vegas up for a while. Get to Vegas. Knock him in their head. Still, the computer still $50.

Yeah. See, that's not the gang. It's up, man. That shit got it all watered down, and that's why can't nobody do shit today. And these motherfuckers is running around with their heads cut off. Man, you know, these bitches. But you know, you get with them. They think that's the way it is.

It was just funny, you know, in my time, is even coming across chicks that was like that. I'm like, that's your mentality. Well, you know, my last, it always stems back to their last situation. Oh, my last situation taught me out of, you know, go for this, go for that. No conversation. No game. No mouthpiece for it. Not making the man wanting to know nothing.

No. She's already set to sit there. She don't give a fuck if it's for half a day. Half a day. She'll sit with that motherfucker just to get whatever she just saw. And what a cold thing, too, is that I've had women that, even now, for me being not even even a part, I'm on some Super Square shit. I'm on some corporate TV film shit.

But it's how we mac and pimped the game. Everything is what you're going to do. You're either going to be in this corporate shit and still pimped, you know, do what you do, pimp the game, or you're going to choose one and utilize what you've learned from that game. I've learned the difference of people, like the difference of growing up when you had a flat back here and you had a thief.

You know what I mean? And the difference of me getting around a woman who was like, this is what it is. I'm like, now that's not what it is. Let me educate you right quick. So I did make a lot of people's lives better while I came across. Right.

Because they got with me and either stay with me or they left. Well, that's what is about making progress, man. Making progress, whether that's with knowledge or just even financial situations. You know what I'm saying? You got to, it's all about game, man. Yeah.

I never played the game to sit still. Yeah, facts. Or to run in place, hell of ard. I never would understand that. You know, I see a lot of people, man, constantly just running in place, hell or hard. But screaming and swearing they're going somewhere. Yeah. And ain't going to the damn place.

Ain't left even half the street of level one. Well, look, I was talking to somebody sharp. I had to tell somebody and they was like, well, Dre, she's a, we were discussing something on a show we was watching. He said, she's a prostitute. I said, no, that one's a prostitute. That one's a slut. That one's a huck. And he was like, well, what do you mean?

I said, well, from my upbringing and understanding and being in tune with what's going on, prostitute is there to be rented. You can do what you want to do. The slut is fucking for free. And the ho is coming up in there to do whatever she can do, to not take a dick, to not do nothing, to get the money and go.

So she's going to sell you the fantasy as much as she can. And there's nothing wrong with that. If you're entertaining for somebody and do whatever you do, so it's a trip to be able to be, if we were educating some loss, you know, I had a little homegrown my neighborhood. Her whole family is rips. You know what I mean from South Central?

And she came to me and she said, hey, what's up? And her father was my G-hommie, you got killed. You know what I'm saying years ago? And she was like, hey, I'm out here kind of flirting the idea. Like, look at me now. I'm 21. What's up? And I was like, man, come on, man.

You don't go sit down somewhere. I'm like that too, though, bro. Yeah, first of all. And what are you doing? So you're out here letting this happen to you and you come from this line of this or what's going on. Let me educate you. If you are doing something, let me give you a little bit of game.

And that little bit of game I gave her help change her life. You know what I mean? For her to tell me, hey, you really, I understood. And it's not that I'm trying to create a renegade, but this is my family.

That's your family, man. And I see somebody doing something wrong. You know what I mean? It's like, hey, you don't have to be, and this low-budget dude right here who ain't shit. Well, you can, I'm going to say this, though, loved ones.

Sometimes you can't intervene with somebody's, whatever's going to happen for this. Sometimes you can give them some game. It's okay to let them know, hey, they're staring wrong. But don't force it on them. Never. Just let them.

never do because there's obviously something they're going to have to probably learn yeah yeah and she attracted to someone so who are we yeah so who are we to stand in the way right and you know what I'm saying when she asked me for advice it opened up the door like hey and when she was popping it at me that's when it opened up and she came back to me and said hey that changed me you know what I'm saying like that gave me a whole lot of information that's just like if you're working on the railroad and somebody says hey man you're holding the hammer wrong yeah you know what I'm saying yeah you're going get callous this much hold the hammer wrong this is the properly how you hold a bat how you hold the there's a process in a way to do things.

You know what I mean? Without just being out here fucked up and ain't nobody having a heart to tell you. They're like, oh, that's just what she's doing. Let's have this hard conversation. You know what I mean? Let me ask you this. I like notice about you.

And your transition, has it been difficult to transition, especially with more spotlight on you where somebody may be watching to say, hey, I got 10 mealy. I'll tell you this. It's easy when you get to touch some, some nice change. Yeah. You know, and

But shit, once I jumped up in and seen what it was, I've seen how this shit has all of its mechanisms and all of the gears go this way and this shit turns that way. if somebody know fraud, if somebody know 9 to 5, somebody know whatever they know if they're not happy or something from it, a lot of people don't understand all the days and things that come. I've been recording and been on the robe and then somebody will call me

and it'd be a money play. But it'd take me away from something that I love doing to have to go be the be the discipline right in the situation so that that would always have me like man my energy popping right now I'm over here we doing I'm making money then I get this go hey you know what I'm saying hey woo woo but it's this woo woo woo up over here all right we go let me pull up and get crack it hey man hate it or love it

yeah I don't give a fuck if anybody hate me you love me for I've always done what I loved that part I don't give a fuck what nobody say man I've always done what I loved you'll never catch me doing something, I truly don't want to do. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't think that's life. Let me ask you this. Now, what about in the past if you had somebody that the bag was so right, but you couldn't stay in this person? But you got to think about this, man. When you go home and you put her away behind the door, you got to deal with that, man. You got to be able to evolve. So for you, because you explain that like, you know, you're picking up new games. Yeah.

so fucking easy today to get caught in a box yeah big and you and you don't even know like you you get stuck in this man and you just you could have had so much more that's all i'm saying But motherfuckers really be scared, the hardest motherfuckers that we know, be scared to step out, man, because they don't know. People hate what they, they don't want to be around what they can't control. Instead of going and getting around a situation and learning to control it, man, getting bigger. Big facts. Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid of it, baby.

Grow with it. Come on, man. You know, the trip is, as I look at different people, whether it be homies in the hood, that's still doing one particular thing that we was doing for the last 20 years. And then people, even within the game, they haven't grown. It's like, this is what I know and this, what we're going to do. It's kind of like curb serving to me, like when crack was big in the 80s and the 90s, if you did go to prison or you did evolve or survive and casual freedom,

you've evolved your game now to where we're not doing that exact same hustle no more. I know it's going to get me caught up. And if I am going to do that, then let's do it like this. So I think a lot of people haven't grown at all, too, and there some people actually absolutely have. I think the only thing that shouldn't be changed is the morals. That part right there. way people like stand on your morals.

Okay, cool. Change your clothes. Have style. You know, you know, kind of feel free to be a create. Yeah. You know what I'm saying?

Do that. But still keep a moral about yourself. You know what I'm saying? Like you can look fucking crazy and still hold the door for an old lady. Yeah.

Yeah. You know what I'm saying? You don't have to just look. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's not about what you look like. I can still respect you off your morals. That's why I say, I don't give a fuck what the bitch

look like. She could be the bad or she could be the ugly. If she got a mindset on her, she's winning. She's winning. She's winning. She's fucking winning. What it gets me sharp is when I see different people and I come across me. Like, I'm a vet. How are you?

You've been on the field for how long? Come on, man. A year and a half. Come on, man. People miss it. Like people using OG. I'm an OG. No, you're not OG.

I have people. See, I get around people and I always do this, right? And this is, I always, man, let me compare the last five years of life till now. Yeah. And let's see if you've grown. Yeah. It ain't about because how the fuck it. I even, how can I be your friend, your man, your anything?

If you haven't grew in the last five years yourself, how can I go with you for the next 20? Yeah. As a friend, I don't want to get business partner, anything. Yeah. What have you done to grow? Yeah. And people should be able to bust that down, man. You know what I'm saying?
