No Jumper. Coolest podcast on the world. And today, we got FBG Cash in the building.
How you feeling? How about you?
Excellent. Excellent. Excited to have you in here too, man. People have been telling me you got to get this guy on here.
That's a blessing, man. It's an honor. Your name's ringing bells in these streets.
I want to ring some more.
You can make it a little worse.
Yeah, yeah.
For sure. You want to introduce us to your crew here?
You got FBG on, EpiG Dutchie. Okay.
Legendary.
boys we're in here how'd you guys all connect way back in the day let's start with some basic
questions this my little brother okay I'm saying so she had come out my mama and we connected in the
streets so she had fucking um I went to prison long story short while I was gone they started doing
music they made fg along with fg dup okay so fbg it started to exist in what year
So when I think about that one duck song with the black and white video where he was
just an E day and shit, that's like the very, very beginning of FBG or did it exist for a while
before that?
I mean, you were locked up at the time.
Yeah, I got locked up March of 2009.
Okay.
Came home October 2011.
So they was already full-blown rappers now.
Okay, for sure.
You're a rapper in Chicago.
Can you tell us a little bit about your life when you were, uh,
Very young guy.
Like, what was Chicago's streets treating you like as a young man?
Yeah, as younger, I'm saying.
Me and my little brother, I think I speak all of us like shit, we had it good growing up.
We wasn't ever nothing too hard.
I was my father was a hustler.
My mom was in-house, mom, good schools and shit.
But still, we was in the streets and everybody hustlers and robbers and delves.
Like, then with my family peers.
So, shit, I saw shit early on.
So you used to straight.
saw everything for very, very early on.
Yeah, for sure, like, everything, like,
minus, like, murders at a young age, like.
Okay.
Other than that, shootings and fucking
thefts, drugs getting sold.
You weren't scared of it?
You were drawn to it?
Yeah, like, I guess I got drawn to it.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
I was, um, that's the word I'm looking for.
I was interested in the shit, you know what I'm that?
But still going to school.
I got good grades in school and whatnot, shit,
but yeah, I still went to,
to venture off and see what it was to help man right and was rap always a thought in your head or was it
mostly just street shit for a long time it's like i got away with putting words together i think
you know what i'm saying so rap was cool but like i didn't know about studios and shit like so it was
always like to make a rhyme and recite it but never know about going in the studio landing down right
yeah for sure what did you get locked up for that first time when you're armed robbery what happened
She had hanging with a friend of mine, a couple of friends of mine, and they alleged that they did something, and I was guilty by association.
So, like, versus going to trial and whatnot.
And being the one, like, incriminate my boys and shit, I just took six years.
Wow.
Yeah.
At what age?
18.
Holy shit.
What did that decision feel like?
It was, like, kind of, it was kind of hard.
It was heavy.
but once you um you get locked locked up and you can't go nowhere no I'm saying shit like you got to just suck the shit up so fucking like being in the county six months eight months it didn't have to make that decision like you ain't going home so like you got to take the best thing you can get it's like shit you suck this shit up
bittersweet but you as a young dude were you around so much crime and so many people going in and out of prison that you almost thought from early on that this was a very real possibility for you yeah to me honest like my peer
like all older than me.
They were all older than me.
So I was seeing them going to jail.
But like in Illinois we had something
with like the 50%
and then a good time.
So I saw my peers take years
and like be home in 61 days so many times.
And I'm saying three years
and I see you in six months.
So like when I never foresee it coming to me
but it's like being in the streets and shit
I don't feel like I was untouchable.
I never saw this shit coming
when it happened it was like damn like this specific incident you didn't realize that this was something
you could get caught up on yeah no like i was i was really chilling like so it's like it's like a
it's like a blessing in disguise because like when i went and did the time i lost so many homies and
shit you know what i'm saying like the way of the world changed like it like it went the drill
and fucking went for people looking for each other and went nine and shit so fuck it i didn't i
didn't see it coming but when it came like shit took it for it was worth yeah because i heard you
about that on the 16 interview that you did which 16 shot in visual shout
to my boy everybody check his shit out if you enjoyed this one maybe go watch so on after but
you said you're like on my space you know which is pretty much what it was during the 2000s
before the 2010s like you could talk shit about somebody on your fucking bulletin and information
just didn't really spread like that and then all of a sudden when it's Facebook and Twitter it's
like somebody could just and now it's even worse with the Instagram story where people would be
super comfortable saying whatever they want and all that shit just kind of
increased the tension of shitload yeah yeah like it's like the the players in the game
changed you know what I'm saying like if you asked me like I got older at one
that's a point in time like when I was 16 and 17 and shit like we was doing
shit that 16 70 year old 17 years do run out kick it go to parties and whatnot
shit so when I came home it's like man like social media got that bad like
dividing the hoods like that shit got crazy you know what I yeah social media
played a big partner shit when you realized you
you were a GD though when did that happen when I was born
when you were born yeah so what they start telling you as soon as you can speak
it smelled like GDs in the F smelled like GDs
was the doctor was GD too I think he would delivered you
yeah fuck but but like you know you've always grown up with that but did it seem like
it was that serious before the drill music shit took over like did it feel like it was that
deadly of a conflict or did it get increased like crazy when that shit came around
Hell no, like, man, I want you to get the right perspective of this shit, man.
Like, this shit was, like, never to be seen.
Like, nobody could have forced all this shit that it is now, like, at my age,
like, that we're talking about, like, fucking shit.
Me being GD.
Like, I was GD. by association, you know what I'm saying?
Until fucking going to jail or, like, meeting some people before and involved.
And I got to be, like, why I'm in now.
So shit, like, I would never fucking.
forcing this shit getting like what no but not a clickbanger so it's like if it's some GDs
and it really was never no Gd BD thing with me because like GD and BD should be one love
I'm saying so like but GDs against stones against vice lords and it's like you know what I'm
saying Hispanic gang some shit my fucking that shit didn't even elevate because somebody at one point
of time should be able to come together leaders in each group and my fucking make a truth
and so most likely they're gonna make a truth I'm saying even if he get out of hand
But right now with this click banging, like you got GDs and stones and Bitties and the same click.
You know what I'm saying?
And that a click bang on motherfucker.
So it's like blocks to block to block.
Right.
So now that shit out of hand.
So it's like no, no, no construction, like no leaders.
Like I can leave somebody that's just click bang.
You don't even stand for nothing.
Right.
But you grew up with it being more old school.
Yeah, for sure.
Mm.
And did your ideas about what that shit was all about get solidified when you were in prison a lot more?
Like you started to meet people who were putting you on
information that you maybe didn't know yeah like like the um the culture like what what being the
d stand for and I'm saying the laws and policies of being the GD so like she in the street
was like you like I'm I'm associated me I'm saying now when you go in and the county in prison
it's like what's up with your lick like you know your shit oh yeah I know it I'll go ahead
spit it on you don't you get fucked up where you can just like shit what is it you have like a
specific speech yeah it's a specific speech what's it like a paragraph or two
No, it's like a Bible.
Oh.
I don't know.
Yeah, no, I know you don't know that if you asked me.
Right, yeah.
But it's like a Bible.
Okay.
And you're supposed to be able to just sort of quote from it in terms of like rules of behavior and shit like that?
Like the rules and behavior, so that's a guideline that you, that's a code of conduct, how you carry yourself.
You know what I'm saying?
But like far as literature, like, it's literature.
You know what I'm trying to teach you lit?
It's literature.
So, okay.
If you want to, if you want to be a part of something, you know, you know, you.
should know what it's stand for and then like be able to go go about these laws and
policy they're accordingly do you guys do dPs see we don't call them dPs what's it called
you like shit like like y'all call them dps and kind of like if you in county you're getting
blasted you're getting violated know what I'm saying it's just like you won't blast so you get
violated okay no DP like when I saw that on your show I'm like deep like call me grip right but
So is that a totally unfamiliar idea, the idea that you could do something fucked up,
and then you will get called to the neighborhood and just have to, like,
fight a shitload of people in a row in a situation where you can't really win?
No, that's in West Coast shit.
Okay, yeah.
So, like, you ain't calling us to no block, to know what I'm saying, like, to kick my ass.
You ain't doing that in the streets, you know what I'm saying?
Not now and today, but, like, in jail, it's, like, it's understandable for, like,
If these niggas ain't no malicious people
That like
They're peers y'all all lead together
So y'all all GDs y'all all go for the same thing
And you do something
Okay like if you go do something
And you tell some business
That was nice in business
Like he was spas or like ain't even no
No guideline no we just fuck him all the way up
Like he a spy he tried to infiltrate everything
So I mean a spy gotta go right
You gotta go yeah but like if you just
Clearly fuck up
and you had three days to learn some lit
and then like you didn't hit it always right
okay man boom boom boom boom what I'm saying
like shit ain't gonna be nothing from your face
okay on neck on down
blah blah blah blah you might show him
now you can take that
and you're here to be like man I want to kill all these
niggas well you would be like I appreciate
Does that ever happen?
Like to me somebody get DP'd and then they're just all of a sudden
like on a war path?
You gotta start saying violated.
Violated okay
Why DP sounds sus to you or just
yeah
Because I'm in the porn world, too.
I know.
Okay.
In the porn world, it means something very different.
He said, do it sound suss?
It don't sound suss.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, Seth meaning.
But, yeah, I know that you would have porn industry too.
So, like, yeah, just go here.
Very different meaning in that world.
And they should never be confused.
Like, you should not show up in the alley.
I'm going to stop.
I'm going to stop.
Yeah, no.
Oh, no.
So yeah, like, fucker.
So, okay, are you locked up and, like, realizing that this music shit is stuck?
Because before it wasn't important for you to have a rapper who was, like, representing your street or your neighborhood at that time?
Was that not really a thing?
And then all of a sudden it starts to become a big thing?
Yeah, like, see, like, I can honestly say we have no rappers off my block, you know what I'm saying?
Like, far in Chicago, like, the bump jay and Kanye, I'm like, she had twisted.
I'm like, damn, they're doing that.
It really went, no, it really went too interesting because they weren't from my block.
So now, like, when I go to jail and fucking shit, I sat 31 months for a time going on,
I'm watching the news and I'm watching neighborhoods be divided and shit.
They're younger people coming in like, man, you know, duck, he from your block, man, a young,
who's your brother, and what are all?
Like, damn.
So now they're coming in every week, every month, every day.
Like, man, brother just made a new song, and they made new songs.
I'm like, what?
Y'all want to get out now, I'm saying.
I ain't, I ain't have plans on rapping, but I just,
wanted to get out and experience what it was like duck was always the most motivated to rap
yeah yeah i could say that like i can't say i can't say i can say that can you move the mic to his
no he was like always the dinner like the frontrunner he always had the most star power
he's the most fan you got that sauce with that shit like that shit and his blood you're hard as
fuck damn any a performer so he started going up while you were locked up and you're just hearing
about it yeah like all them did so like when I come like and meanwhile you're losing a
shitload of people yeah like it was out of hand already but like it wasn't a shit load yet
so like fucking when I when I came home and see all them like yeah I never saw them but only
through pictures the whole 31 months like I just did time like females and I'm saying not even
saw my mama so when I came home to see like duck growth my all way up hill I'm saying
Dutch and young like the first guys I saw when I came home like damn and then like
fucking I got two years from house arrest so I got time to go be fucking
YouTube analysis and shit so I was just watching all the video just catching up on
the fucking um the urban my fucking media and shit and like god damn like really doing it
and really going up and that was only to start still for me that boys got lit up yeah so
what you started rapping around that time too I started rapping like um
2012 I came home in 11 I believe I made my first song in 2012 they just dropped
something out there a person or a large bookshelf oh sorry um okay 2012 and then
like how'd you go about getting into the music shit like I felt like I felt like
so like it was already ahead of me in the race that wasn't even a race for us but
they was already off.
So I'm like, I ain't want to just be the one
to just drop a song, and then they do poor,
you know what I'm saying?
So I would try to do something to grab their attention.
I started, and I didn't even make a Twitter yet.
I was on Instagram, and it wasn't even popping like that.
Wasn't on live and shit then, but like,
it was some shit that had happened with me and Chief Keefe's mama,
and that just put me over the top, like,
people want to know who I am.
Back then in 2012?
Like, yeah, like, that's when it came to me.
What happened with his mom?
Like, I used to fuck with her.
I ain't gonna count
I'm gonna say it's been said before like
ain't even have to bring it up
that's my people
don't say I'm saying she cool people's butt
like
me and her relationship
my fucking like
not a relationship but relationship
like what started me rapping
really yeah I kind of feel weird
like I feel like you might be trolling me
and I don't want to have a serious conversation
about it if you're just trolling me but I you know
they're all like shaking their head and shit
like I was like 16 years old
Really?
Yeah.
Were you in love?
No, like I had a girlfriend.
I had a real girlfriend, but like,
like, and it was common for young dudes,
and I just mess with other girls.
Okay.
So when you see you keep blowing up,
what are your thoughts?
See, I told you, I came home,
and I was analyzing YouTube,
and I was like,
I'm like, damn, who is this?
And I'm calling around,
they was like, man, look at them again,
you know what this is, man.
I'm like, nah, that's a little son.
I'm like damn and I called her
know what I'm saying so when I called it
it was like it was like just take for what I had did like I had my cameraman recording
our conversation and she oh my god and fucking and then like one day he dropped it
without my permission then fucking I looked up and I was on world start the next day
so when you when he's blowing up are you you're already looking at him like the ops
or is it kind of like whatever at first no yeah no I wasn't looking at her I know his mom
and his dad like his dad my homie like this know what I'm saying and he was tight with his mama
So like I ain't never looked at him like the ops like I think like I think like
I think like ops getting at no cap because like look he was a kid when I left
I'm saying like he was real life a kid when I love I mean he's pretty much a kid when he blew
up he's like 16 yeah so like motherfuckers saying ops I think ops and opposed my fucking like
different right like so she I just see that he was on a pose and sad now I'm
like shit right but that motivated you to start okay so they put out the video
of you talking to his mom on the phone.
What were you saying in the video?
I wish I watched this.
I should have looked you up on a fucking World Star.
They got all the good old shit.
I would just say some shit, like, man, like, congratulations and shit.
And, like, motherfucker.
And she was saying what she's saying.
Like, basically, like, you're not an op to my son.
And, ooh, whoa.
Like, so it's nothing, you know what I'm saying?
We want to talk about having sex and nothing,
and nothing, I'm saying.
Talk about the old relations.
Like, they know, yeah.
But people still went crazy for it?
Yeah, because they can understand that.
Like, man, like, man.
And then like, that's like when it was like, man, how is this ops was fucking with his mama?
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Right.
Like, shit.
So, like, these, your ops, but to come home and like, dude, this is my little brother, shit.
Whatever they own.
So shit, anything can help y'all put y'all up on the scoreboard.
Motherfucking shit, we got to do.
Right.
So it's a sport, you know what I'm saying?
So you very much got into the rap shit because of tension you have with people and because you wanted to sort of do battle publicly like that?
No, don't take it like that.
I feel like it was, it was like so much,
every day it was controversy, you know what I'm saying?
So like I didn't come out dissing people.
Like, I'm saying.
I ain't, my first song wasn't dissing.
Like, it had something to do with Shirek drill,
drilling and like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, riding around doing shit, but like,
it ain't had nothing, it wasn't aimed at nobody.
Like, and then when I, when I make music for the most part,
if I got something to say about somebody,
I do it's subliminal.
Mm-hmm.
Because it's like really ain't even no tension,
I'm saying, but do you feel like a Chicago rapper
rapper can blow up without talking about
specific shit going on in the streets these days it kind of feels like that's almost like
required at a certain point it's been done like the fans want to see it yeah but when you
have something like polo g or whatever it's like he's mega talented i get why he don't have to
lean on that good talented but chance the opposite of what we're talking about right oh you're
trying out drill yeah you know street type rappers you know that's a good question man like
my fucking that make that make me think like goddamn like shit that's a good question fucking it can
still happen like even though
how we feel about it it can be
done right ain't nothing not happen
right it can be done
were you are you in Kanye the same
kind of GD? Did you always know he was a GD
because I didn't know that until like a year ago on Twitter
he smelled like a GD man
he was in the doctor's office
so I wasn't surprised with
it was rumored that Kanye was a GD
but wouldn't that be big news like
especially amongst the GDs don't you going to have to
assess and talk about that it's already big news that for the jddd and kine name in the same sense right
yeah it says so it wouldn't be like like i'm sorry like not successful how much money cany cany got
like man that's a that's a w right for the gds for growth and development yeah for sure um okay so
in terms of like just how the music went and everything after that how did you how did your career
sort of developed from there and what was it like seeing duck shit take off yeah it was all uh that
shit was like putting a piece of a puzzle together and shit just know i'm saying just everybody doing
their part know what i'm saying like being being like basically like celebrities in your in your
community and shit i'm saying so you got to move strategically militantly for and the shit was fun it was
the process that i like watching see and it's a process that i'm still happy to be involved in
do you look at the media as having like sort of really added to the conflict
Like around that time is when you really had people start doing all these interviews and you got academics doing the war on shirex shit like
You know all the stuff that we think is normal now for hip-hop media coverage
Yeah, a lot of it really started with the Chicago early days
Yeah
See like internet is entertainment, you know what I'm saying? So like the internet got so
It got so water down right now that and I don't really watch it like that no more like I be on Twitter and shit
But as much as I used to watch
I'd be on my phone nowadays
But a lot of shit I don't care for no mama
Because the social media
Don't fuck it up
Like even polluted the kids
You know what I'm saying?
So shit I don't need me really watching it like that
Do you think that the shit is kind of fucked up
Because it's so easy to get deleted
On social media now and shit
I feel like everybody in the game
Has had their Instagram deleted a bunch of times
In terms of like any rapper who's in the streets
Their Instagrams just are not lasting anymore
Because if you have ops
they're fucking after your page.
If they can't get you, they're going to get your Instagram taken down.
I'm glad you said that, man.
That's something that's neat to be said.
Because fucking, I just got my page deleted, like 60-70K.
That's some shit.
And motherfuckerucking.
Damn, that shit was like, I'm like, damn.
I didn't even want to get back on Instagram.
To be honest, I was just going to work off their pages and shit.
But I'm like, fuck it.
I'm going to get back on.
But yeah, yeah, I don't know.
That shit crazy.
But you know a different side of this industry in this game we're playing there.
than me
so shit like fucking
that do make sense
man I'm fin to shut his ass up
he ain't gonna have no voice
I'm fin to call
who out the mail email
email who out the bill
and get his page took down
yeah yeah
I mean we were just talking about
Crip Mac he got
he's on like his 12th Instagram
or some shit
it's like they just make it so easy
that if you want to target somebody
these days
it's like super inexpensive
you can get people's shit
taken down and it's like
Crick Mack out of jail
he might be
about to go back in actually
he fucking he did a little
jail bit
like for a couple weeks or some shit and then he's about to be uh i think he might have to do some more
serious time but i'm not sure he interesting man you find him inspiring no i was looking
forward to him you said why don't i find it inspiring he's not here on a day-to-day basis
i knew that but like i just know like me and cali like you want me to tap you on yeah oh my god
so like hey but look though like i feel like fuck yeah i don't know if that's money i can hang
around all day you know like inspiring like my fucking that was just like to see the real him like see if his
a facade of the internet like I'm interested honestly I don't feel like it's a facade the good and the
bad it's all real yeah like but I would like to see I think I think he a thousand like he's an
interesting person to me yeah now he's a good guy but he deals with a lot of mental issues and
shit like that like you really the more you talk to him you can really like to see everything
that he's been through you know for show I got buddies like that yeah where you could never
mistake them for a regular guy that ain't been through shit yeah like like like like I ain't
say like we just got to handle handle like handle folks number careful according right
right like she can't put folks in no in no positions and you know in our
radio situation that's going on mentally you know what I'm saying he mentally
unstable so we got this part of this you know what I'm saying for sure would you have
always thought of yourself as a disrespectful person no that's a new development
now like it's really like what you think that's new yeah yeah
So like, shit, I feel like, I feel like this brand FBG, man, this shit is strong, man.
Like, it's just speak volumes and fucking, we making music, I'm saying?
We're artists.
So, like, if somebody come on a platform and speak, what I'm saying, negative about us, like, shit, I'm like, damn, ooh, that shit was weak.
I'm like, man, shit, I'm feeling put three words better together better than he did.
Get on your beat.
I'm going to step on it.
and we're going to let them fucking choose,
you know what I'm saying?
So, like, the situation that I'm in right now
it's like my fucking gave me a little platform
to go on here, put the shit out there, what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Do you feel like you always get treated like an asshole
for the stuff that you might do
versus, like, other people are able to diss you and shit
or diss your side,
and, like, they don't really get the judgment
that you guys get?
Yeah, but I feel like it, yeah,
I feel like that for sure.
But I also feel like right now,
especially with no jumper.
I think a person character could win
a motherfucker over
I'm saying
like this is a great platform
to do it on and shit be like damn
I ain't even though he was like that man
he was so played with no jumper man
I'm gonna stop listening to food
I'm gonna go listen to cash
Right
Yeah you came in here intentionally
Like very level-headed
because I've seen you in the 16 interview
You were talking about man
I think Adam be giving these rappers
All the good weed and getting them high as fuck
And then they start telling all of them something
I'm like I'm not giving anybody weed
They got their own
Yeah, no, I honestly thought, like, no, I'm saying.
See, I don't smoke weed.
Oh, so I thought Cali was a motherfucker ain't no jumper.
As soon as you come through the door, it's a big ass bag of weed right there.
Go ahead, fill up.
They wish.
Fill up.
I thought it was like that.
We would never keep the employees away from that.
I was like, what God.
When the Fires, I was talking on 16 and shit, I felt like, man, why Adam and came and got up with us?
And like, nobody at FBG yet.
You never heard of us?
Ruga.
Oh, that's my one for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah, a bunch of good.
interviews over the years, right?
Yeah.
I almost feel like we're more,
we interview more GDs than...
See, that's why I'm glad, like, man,
that I was able to come on here
because, like, I want, I want, man,
I want your fan base,
I want the West Coast to see Young and Dutchie also.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, and they're on a duck,
you know what I'm saying?
Like, shit, once we made it on here,
he made it on here.
I fucking duck,
I had a day in Chicago
where I had a duck interview
and a little recent interview
scheduled like many hours apart,
but I had a security guard and everything
holding them the spot,
and then they both bailed on me.
Hey, like, that's some shit I can see Duck do her.
Yeah.
I told them to do it, too.
You told them to do it?
Thank you.
And I remember telling the security guy,
I'm trying to explain the whole situation to him,
and he's like an off-duty cop or some shit.
He's like, I wouldn't worry about it.
They ain't going to do shit.
I'm like, I don't know, man.
You seem pretty confident, I don't know.
It's a great up.
Damn.
What makes you feel like you're so talked about at this point?
It kind of feels like you're having a moment where like all of a sudden,
see academics make a video where like you're basically in the title and shit.
I'm like, oh, fuck, like people really, really fucking with cash right now.
Yeah, because it's like, I feel like right now, from the inside, looking in, and outside looking in,
I feel like, shit, I feel like people feeling like I'm saying something that people not scared to say, like, they just,
don't know how to say or they don't got the platform to say it's not it's not
catching the right people but like damn cash said that damn what you were
winding man cash wasn't line like you know what I'm saying like when you talk
about doing all this shit it's gonna come a time where my fucking like you
gotta show some receipts mm-hmm it's like damn cast just
motherfucking like went like from front to back and just laid out your whole
whole strategy that motherfucking like how y'all go come back at them and
shit like nobody responded to me and whatnot
But motherfucking like, shit.
One of them did a million view.
One of them a half a million.
I'm saying my numbers been going up.
I feel like I feel like I'm glad I was able to say some shit that motherfuckking scared to say.
Yeah, because, I mean, it does feel kind of crazy that somebody like Dirk has such a huge fan base.
And he just kind of consistently uses the fan base to take shots at people who are obviously have a way,
smaller platform than what he has.
So, I mean...
I think you run that material, man.
But then people look at you like,
you're a dick for responding.
And it's kind of like, well, fuck,
you're responding to somebody
who's speaking to a fuckload more people,
a large percentage of which
who don't even know what the fuck he's talking about.
Yeah.
See, like, I've never made a song,
Amy and him, you know what I'm saying?
So, like, he folks
is definitely little aggressive,
you know what I'm saying?
Like, he initiated the shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I can go back
and say some shit,
quote word like he's been mentioned me
and even if you mention who's
who's used to or duck or any one of them
I got the right to defend they on them
and just simple
right and I think
I think my boys agree like
fake they ass
you know what we're at now
and Cali
do you ever listen to those songs though and get angry
or is it more just like oh man fuck them
I'm gonna go make a song
hell no for like if that shit trash is trash
if that shit good it's good
you know what I'm saying
If some shit came through speakers
And it was sound in decent
Even from the guy after the polls
I'm like, damn, man
Yo, you know, your shit harder than that
Dutty, your shit harder than that.
We're gonna make a good song
But that shit hard.
Right.
Shit hard, man, you can catch me
You can play in that shit out of day,
you know what I'm saying?
It ain't in my playlist.
Right.
If it come on, I ain't gonna have no females
come on me.
Hey, cut that shit off, you know what I'm saying?
Nah, we don't win.
Not if you were in the club?
Like, fucking young boys' baby mama,
remember that video?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's like, turn it off.
See, like, if names getting said in the song,
yeah, if names getting said in the song type of shit,
you know, that's in the gate.
Gotta get cut off, but we don't even do clubs
and you play like that.
Every sing, clay, every song, golf.
How are you looking like a lot?
Yeah.
Right.
There's a special song, you know, not to play.
What's the stuff that you think is, like,
the most over the line in terms of this and these days
in terms of all this shit?
What'd you think, Chow?
It'd be getting real disrespectful.
What do you think?
line now but as long as you name dropped that's overland I was
this shit is man like it really ain't no bad like man you got females man you
got kids man like picking sides right now 12 and 13 like like that shit is common
now like you don't even know you don't even know you're smoking this man dead
homies like you're rapping about it and you just whoa whoa whoa whoa just rapper you know
like shit over the line I'm that parents still have got to hear that shit right
crazy and it's like nobody gives a fuck anymore huh yeah and that shit just tasteful and a lot of that
shit weak right like know what I'm saying like how I put that shit together like I'm saying
me speaking for myself even folks I'm like if I have put wordplay you make it have to like all
those reactions I got they have to rewind like damn like versus somebody just like smoking
a up pull up on this block food got shot you know what I'm saying like I don't I don't care for
that shit that shit whack for like you can come with you
bars and be like the head ass gas.
Right. Pressure. Like,
do you think that it's kind of
fucked up to put out, like, when
Vaughn died, and then they put out his
verses where he's taking crazy shots
and all these other people who got shot or already
died, and they're putting out this
is after he died. Like, does that feel
like something that, like, shouldn't happen? Or
I don't know. I can't
even say it shouldn't happen. Like, motherfucker
like, shit. Like,
this is the wave that you
help make, you know what I'm saying? So, your legacy
see, motherfucker gonna follow the same way you went out,
know what I'm saying?
So shit, like, man, I couldn't wait.
They all that's like barrelhead, spin your casket,
you know what I'm saying?
You're gonna wait for you die.
Right.
Straight up.
That's how you feel?
No, that ain't how I feel.
Mm-hmm.
I'm saying.
Like, damn, I can really caled less, you know what I'm saying?
Like, damn, I ain't really wait no,
motherfucking black on black violence,
to be honest, you know what I'm.
You feel like you just been dragged into it in a way?
Yeah, I'm guilty by association, no what I'm saying?
But shit, I'm standing on,
like, I ain't, I ain't, I ain't,
backing down for shit and I ain't I ain't fucking
apologizing nobody if folks them
said something shit they said what they said
so motherfucker I'm man I don't
I don't feel no type of ways like
food
food passes a lot of people pass
when duck passed
man they're going crazy
man very over disrespectful
and then we ain't even take it
like I'm saying oh man let's go ahead
get up getting the students start making dishes
like man we're grieving
know what I'm saying but we letting it slide though
We see the females who acting like you were just overhead, but now you over there.
We see you over there.
You're acting like you a spot-hound fool.
You're over there playing that shit.
They got you in the corner over there.
I saw you on the store.
You know what I mean?
That's the crazy situation that I've seen happening in L.A.
over the past year or so, too, where it's like somebody gets killed.
And then their friends who are rappers want to put out songs, mourning them and shit.
And then all the comments in response are like,
you shouldn't be making a song, you should be spinning on them, yada yada.
And I'm just like, Jesus Christ.
Like, they can't even put a song out about their dead homing now.
It's like you just want them to get right to work.
It's coming time for that shit got to stop.
Like, damn, I don't want to be in jail.
Damn, I can't do nothing if I'm dead.
Right.
On the real, like, shit, I ain't looking for nobody.
I don't want anybody looking for me.
If it is what it is, okay, I ain't like that.
But I ain't actually actually going to fucking spin.
Spinning where?
But what?
What?
Fuck that shit.
That's their sport.
That's their job.
I let the universe eat people.
How has everything changed for you since Doug Pass, though?
Does I feel like it kind of fucked the movement up?
Or you feel like you have to step into more like a leadership role?
All of us have to step more of into a leadership role.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, like, you're losing the brother.
Like shit, like that left that left an absent.
that's probably everybody my kids my mom my dad my brothers and I'm saying my
sisters so like shit I kind of like numb to the fact but like still like can't
forget it I'm saying can't forget duck I'm saying we was just motherfucking
cali and cullin there and driving the coloring through this motherfucker be
duck you know what I'm saying coming out the speaker's crazy that was duck
you know what I'm saying yeah it's bittersweet 100% um
How'd you feel when you heard about all those kids getting arrested for it?
Oh shit, I don't know how to feel.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
I don't really can't own it.
Like, police activity and shit, but like, man, if motherfucker,
dumb enough to do some shit can get caught, man, your ass, like,
like, what, you know what the, what I'm saying?
Like, I'm not saying, niggas guilty or nothing like that.
I don't know that situation, but like, to even be involved in the situation,
like, you know what I'm saying?
Right.
You're done for even being a suspect.
Yeah.
feel like even with anybody like how to fuck you're supposed to be clever and you want the news when you
read the well like when I read the report from that shit I'm like oh this is what it looks like when
somebody actually wants to get somebody so bad that they're willing to just go do it and not try
to be smart about it in any way not that there's like a smart way to go shoot somebody but you know
just basically like made it so unbelievably easy for the cops to put the pieces together you know
the day we live in today for like it's not like when when you was like
18 and 19 like man you know if some shit like that was to happen or it was another
another situation you know like it's it's more stronger drugs and shit out here
right you know what I'm saying so like shit my fuck is out under a different type of
influence you think that's a big factor yeah yeah ain't anybody thinking like
you're acting right off impulse I'm gone really I'm
yeah yeah I believe so damn that's crazy what do they take to go shoot people
these days?
They don't take nothing, shit.
But these drugs, giving up some courage.
Is it like a meth thing or is it like a Zan thing?
Do you want to be up or do you want to be down?
Yeah, saying, fuck your homie.
Straight up.
Yeah, no nothing.
It don't take shit, man.
These holes get a nigga fucked up.
My fuck saying, fuck your dear homies.
About shit and get you fucked up.
Who you're working with?
You don't take shit.
You got me worried about the girls, bro.
You're making the girls.
Sounds terrible out there.
Man, you don't want to come there and get no girls.
We got some, we got some wrong shit, but like, man,
we was looking for you having all the girls, man.
I don't want, I'm not running that risk.
I don't know where they were there
and what they've been doing.
Scrayed out, man.
You got some girls you want me to manage?
Yeah, yeah.
Can I meet the girls? You manage?
Sure.
I'll give you a really good recommendation.
I'll be like, he's crazy.
Man, man, look, man.
You just recently did something with somebody, man.
A girl?
I don't know a name, man.
Like, my fucking, you just had it on here.
He took a picture with her, but...
I forget.
I'm gonna come across again.
You're gonna let me know?
Man, she was nice, man.
No problem.
I got you, bro.
I'll say a bunch of crazy shit.
I'll be like, it's crazy.
He's my brother.
Yeah.
The Chicago girls, though, probably aren't, like,
aren't, like, shocked when you pull out a gun
and put it on the bedstand or whatever.
I notice in L.A., most of the girls still are like,
oh, what do you have that for?
Yeah, they're saying, Chicago girls,
they're more shocked.
you pull out a rubber.
What fuck is that?
Chicago, we're going to look at you crazy.
You don't put out a good man.
Yeah.
She just starts texting somebody else to rob you right away.
Yeah, like, not probably not to rob you.
Yeah, but yeah, some situations, but, like, definitely making it be known that you're goofy.
Like, off the real.
What percentage of drill rappers do you think are using condoms when they have sex in Chicago?
Yeah, that's a crazy question.
He just said that they'd be shocked if you pull the condom out.
I'm just wondering how's it going down.
They're crazy.
No, I'm smiling.
That was just for you a little, I don't think the shit.
But like, the way these niggas carry themselves, like, I believe these nays would be like,
you know what I'm saying?
They're not incriminate myself with girls.
No what I'm saying?
I'm like, I'm like, I don't think these niggies have my hoax, man.
These niggas ain't fucking like that, man.
They, they, what's you think?
They ain't overfucking like that, though?
Because y'all ain't overfucking, fuck.
I ain't doing no fucking.
Yeah, I'm loud.
Yeah, but I mean, that's kind of a Chicago thing.
I always think of the slide video
and it's just straight
guns and blunts and fucking
eat pills and is not a bitch in sight.
Like, if there was a girl,
they made her go wait in the hall.
Like, right, at that time, like,
it wasn't the time, but, like, it was more at risk.
Get right on the mic?
I'm gonna tell you true, my video,
be like, because my fucker be scared
and real, like, y'all laugh, man.
The bitch would be like,
I ain't getting out video.
Things like, but they catch me in.
That was dope.
It was real.
They just fuck with both sides and shit.
Oh, God.
So, there's only only want to put nothing to the motherfuckers.
There's like a second in the slide video
where you can see like a girl's leg
and I'm just like, aha.
There was a girl.
Yeah, it was a few of them now.
You know what I'm saying?
But like, you saw what that, like,
you could foresee what it would do.
So like, hell no, I ain't getting in there with child.
Like, mm-mm, mm-mm.
But then it came more comfortable, like,
She, females getting the first ones.
Let me hold the guns.
Like other videos I would see leading up,
like when people try to follow up after what Doug did,
you know what I mean? People remix slide, no I'm that.
They tried to change, set the mold, like shit.
That made it bad too, you know what I'm saying?
You were in that video?
Yeah.
Okay. What was that day like?
I think I was, to be honest, I probably was at, yeah.
Was that you holding up the fucking E-Pill
right into the camera in the beginning?
That was you?
That was it.
It was a normal day.
We had doing that shit every day.
Yeah.
But do you know that song was going to go crazy?
No, I thought gang anthem.
Yeah.
I thought that was going to be the song.
But when I said the video, yeah, I knew it was going to do it.
That was a classic.
Yeah, I was trying to keep it low like a credit scope because I was on parole.
I wasn't even supposed to be there.
I think I was on house arrest.
You popped on over?
Yeah, fuck that boy.
Doug got to shoot.
All of them shoots.
Right.
Here I come.
For sure.
For sure.
Definitely.
Okay.
I got some fucking questions here.
Let me dip in the phone real quick.
Oh yeah.
So why did you take that picture with the King Law and Mural?
Dirk told me too.
How did he tell you to?
He threw text.
Now, he blocked me now, but yeah, through text.
You want to show me your conversation with him?
No, he blocked me.
He blocked me, my fucking.
The conversation's still there, right?
Uh-uh.
You delete text?
Yeah, like when I only, see, I ain't, I ain't big on conference.
confrontation sometimes, you know what I'm saying?
Like most times I ain't being on confrontation, so when I go through, I don't know.
Man, that was just tasteful, man.
What was the, what kind of conversation were you having before he told you to go take this photo?
Fuck me, fuck him, go over there and do that and see what happened to you.
I'm like, I'm not saying right now.
You hit him up?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he was just like, hey, what's up?
Why, Chicago's so weird because the ops always be talking to each other and like going on live and tweeting at each other and shit.
I had an air body
I'm like, fuck I was talking about
I don't see a ton of that in L.A.
I tell her Dirk stop sneakditching me before he left me on scene.
Really?
So you kept barking on him?
No, I just left it.
He left me on scene.
I just left it alone in the DM.
Right.
Sometimes I don't know if I believe.
Sometimes I feel like you're trolling me,
but I could see it, I guess.
Sometimes shit happens.
It's good for the field some way sometimes, but I ain't trolling.
How long are you actually at the mural?
about like not even a minute okay you just popped out and did it yeah and like it wasn't my
intention like I was in the car with my uh with somebody and I'm like what the fuck you're
taking me down this way anyway like why matter of fact pull over I'm saying I needed that because
like it was it was on like you had already started I was like man it was risky but like hey that's the
play I made know what I'm saying and I posted you ever think about clicking up with six nine when he was
coming through Chicago and shit.
Hell no.
Like, like, you know what I'm saying?
For different reasons, though.
Like, I would have liked my fucking get next to him, like, and like, knowing he had all
that money and jewelry and shit, know what I'm saying?
But, like, five, man, fucking, that don't, that don't coincide with my image.
But an enemy of my enemy is a friend of mine, right?
No.
No.
But a lot of times.
No.
You don't respect that?
Like, I break it down real quick.
Like, a, a enemy of an enemy of a.
enemy like shit I already don't trust none of y'all
anyway that's a good point I don't want to go click up with you to go against your
opposite and I don't want you clicking up with me to go and get mad like I don't even
know what type of time you all know what I'm saying like I can honestly say if I go
do something with these guys man and shit I got to stand up and be held accountable I
could do that because like I knew them my whole life I don't want to fucking link up
with you off there like it's some shit I would do for niggas I link up with off the
flag because like you can tell the genuineness and it's
But like fuck that ain't funny come you click up soon as soon as we beef with the same nigger out now you be hit and shut up
Yeah, and if you click up with a snitch too. It's probably gonna look bad
Man, to say the least anything with a snitch is gonna look bad right like if you in the streets yeah
You know what I'm saying like if it was if it was motherfucking
Somebody who ain't in the street and motherfucking like then you hang with a snitch
Shit like but when you think about him
even me not being in the streets or whatever
if I was blessed buds with them and shit
a lot of people would look at me different
they go against your brand
like no jumping like I thought it was authentic
like god damn you're gonna help man
man you had a fucking
lace wig on like what you doing
I don't know the lace wig
you know they're gonna perceive
I remember when I did I seen like a screenshot
of a video of him back in the day
and you could tell it was a wig
and I just felt like Santa is not real
like what the fuck
bro.
I thought you were at least putting in the work with the hair die, bro.
Because I always, I kind of thought, like, that's mad impressive.
Like, how the fuck often is he dye in his hair?
Yeah.
That shit takes a long time, especially doing 10 colors.
Yeah, goddamn, fuck.
You're a real bitch, fuck.
You sit all about it.
You can tell you to sit back.
God damn.
Could you ever dye your hair?
That ain't cool?
You pull the mic over there?
I ain't saying it something wrong with it, but I don't think I look good.
with that you gotta be like a certain level of like fashionable man get your freak
ass out of head man like look look look no cap right like like will smith son he different
a saph hurd they different it was all they came off it's different you mean isa rocky yeah
yeah uh rocky uh no um furr got that shit yeah that shit oh yeah yeah right okay some shit um fucking
um famous decks they already they always came off it's different
So that's acceptable for folks going to do that shit.
But when you talk about, I'm on Demontown and you're doing all this shit,
and then you pop up with a motherfucker, a cotton candy on the outside.
Damn.
Man, you cool.
You cool, man.
That's not, that's not understanding.
That's not, that's not.
Oh, man.
Cotton candies.
What's up with Famous Dex?
Do you ever see him?
No, we'd be in touch when folks out, though, with him.
where he ain't got no situations going on, we'd be in touch.
But like, he more on this end, you know what I'm saying,
for him to be in Chicago.
I know he got a lot of shit going on when he do come to Chicago.
But does that feel like a kind of like a waste of talent in a way?
Like, he could have been really big and he kind of just weather.
He still is really big, know what I'm saying?
That's true.
He still is really big.
Like, folks probably just really going through something
and nobody could be going to fucking got a time on how to fucking, like,
had his process of what he's dealing with supposed to go.
Right.
Probably so much shit going on in his brain right now.
And so much shit he got to get.
up and do like that he's forced to do that being an artist and a person and dad you know what I'm saying like
dealing with mama everything we don't know what's going on with folks I don't know how I'll be without
my mom right I'm yeah definitely what uh I just interviewed PGF Nuck what do you think of what do you think of
him and his whole movement that he got going on I don't know him you don't know you don't
hear the music and shit it's pretty hard sure I'm gonna check him out mm I got a feeling that you do
know what I'm talking about like look I
I look, I know his management.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
So like, when I say I don't know him, like, I never,
it looked like something I saw before, so I didn't even even go into, like,
trying to go through his catalog.
This shit was wild because they got, like, the most guns I ever seen in a music video.
Although you guys are close, close.
You got to be up there, too.
For sure.
But they got a hell of accessories and modifications to the guns.
Yeah, this shit fucked up with guns.
There's no stock blickies in the whole video.
Yeah, man.
This shit, pressure with guns.
and in Chicago.
Right.
Then it's a video show, you lit, if anybody lit,
all I gotta do is pull up with my gun
and get some cameo.
We're bringing that thing out, man.
But we don't do shit like that no more though.
We did that, we like kind of played it out.
I'd be on the hard-ass video with all type of straps and that shit,
but like, at the end of the day, I know I'm gonna regret it, like,
these guns, youth or something, you know what I'm gonna.
Right. Anybody's actually been in trouble that starts just really looking like a bad idea pretty quickly.
See, like, I've been fucking, I've been staying out of trouble for some
time now, you know what I'm like?
Like it's like been a long time.
I feel like that I've been out of trouble.
Like I ain't on papers and shit no more.
But I can see me doing some stupid shit like that
and my fucking getting picked up by the face.
Like, damn, I thought, I thought it was just,
these are for props, you know what I'm saying?
Right.
Fuck all that shit.
All the switches in the video and shit?
I don't like switches.
You don't fuck with that?
Mm-mm.
You feel like those have like changed the landscape
of the city a lot?
Yeah, yeah, because like one mistake with a switch.
It's over with, like, damn, switch.
Like, I don't see my fuck is good.
get shot on accident, but damn, you got a switch.
You just over-accident shot my
asshole like, damn.
You just overdid me.
You were like, damn.
Me and Cho were just watching some shit yesterday,
man, I just saw my fucking on Twitter,
get this motherfucker whole arm
blew off with a pump.
Like, damn.
Yeah.
But no.
It looked like it was on the West Coast type of shit.
Knicking them, the way they talk,
they make it sound like if you're out here with a gun
without a switch, that you're a fucking
you're a lick waiting to happen.
Like, it's changed.
That's real shit?
God damn.
I'm never going back, man.
That's terrifying.
Like, switches, but like in the video, that's dumb as hell.
Yeah.
But then the over with without that motherfucker.
That's crazy.
And then I like how the niggas came out with the glocks with sticks,
and then when niggas here revolves,
revolves now.
Those bitches done that shit that ain't got the switch on that,
then the outsolete now.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
I don't fuck with the motherfuck
Why don't you like it just because you don't want to go prison?
Like because hell no, like shit, if the opportunity, like right now with the shit going on,
it would be safe to my fucking get something with a 50 round club on the motherfucker and a switch, you know what I'm saying, just put it to the side, but like guns are not toys to me.
I'm saying, I don't like playing with the motherfuckers like in the end they got a switch on it like shit, man, that sounds like an accident waiting to happen to meet.
What I'm saying?
Glock's ain't got no safety on them, bro.
Like, what the fuck man?
Jump right off the porch and you got a big ass gun.
with a switch on it right that's I always think when I see that big ass drum on the bottom I'm
like where are you tucking that yeah they're gonna make it happen man somehow
just gotta get some baggy jeans man they got them bitch on skinny they got that bitch in their ass
they got their ass they got the whole motherfucker barrel of the ass I'm doing some man dear gosh
here in my world again
Hey, I knew that when we came here, like, you could tell, like, the kind of the interview
was going to be, like, on next level like that.
Like, like, you're a people person.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
You can freestyle.
That shit and just go off the rip, like, versus, like.
I got questions.
Like, a lot of people would be, like, reading off a list.
And I'm just like, no, I'm, like, actually just naturally.
Yeah, like, that's what I can tell.
That's what I want to say about you.
Like, that's how I was, like, no disrespect.
Nobody who do interviews like this.
And I got a natural.
Like, it just come out.
natural. That's why you know jump.
And that's why people are like, oh my God, you ask the most
federal-ass questions. It's because
I'm actually just sitting here, like, thinking of
what I want to ask. You're like, you're going to ask
the most federal question. They ask
crazy. But it's like, I know you're not going to say
the shit that's going to, like, really
go over the line. And plus, people hit me up sometimes
ask me to delete shit, and if it's really bad, I'll delete it.
Plus, you still are going to smoke one and look at the
shit like, damn. They were stupid. You never
answered that, right?
I don't know. There's been a couple.
There's people show up off too many drugs.
Man, I saw some shit like that with you, faux, bro.
Oh, Bunk?
Damn, pro.
I'm like, gee, I was like, I felt for you.
I'm like, damn.
Like, I think you really wanted to get that shit done.
And it's like, damn, it just can't work.
That was terrible because we were alive.
Because if I wasn't live, I would have just stood up and been like, fuck this shit, bro.
Get the hell out of here.
But we're alive, so I'm trying to be nice about it.
Yeah.
But it's like he's so fucked up that he's just, like, sloboring in front of me.
I'm so with Gabana nowadays.
He's boxing and he's a man of the Lord.
That's good.
And he's in love with Wo Vicky.
Get out of here.
Swear to God.
For a show.
Shit doesn't change.
And he loves God now.
You're all about that.
Man, that's what I said.
Like, that's a person I like to meet too.
I like to see if that was a facade or, like, if it was really real.
I think you'd fuck on him.
I know I would.
If he was still on the drugs, you'd probably fuck with him more, but you'd probably
fuck with him now, too.
See, I don't do drugs.
You know what I'm saying?
But, like, his ass would have been irritating.
I thought of all that shit.
for around me from him like damn for we trying to kick for you for you
fall in sleep in the club and shit yeah
no you know one of the people who got the most fried on here was fucking ruga
because he fucking grabbed the weed candy and he slams like eight of them down
his throat i'm sitting here like because we all fuck with those
shits but we all know you take one or two and you're good he's fucking
because they do taste really good he's like eating them eating them i'm like what the
fuck he's like a monster yeah he told me he like right back to the hotel room
passed out.
I saw him.
He said, he said, he's like, hold on, wait, like, what you ask me again?
I mean, I'm going to get a post, friend, dad, lady too sad.
You had a couple of those.
Yeah, that's my boy.
We went to with him the other day.
Right, for sure.
So, are there, like, what's your plan in terms of your career?
Like, what are you actually trying to do in terms of steps you want to take this year
and all that?
Man, I think, motherfucking, the, the window that just opened up from me, gave me a chance
to broadcast my shit.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
even my old shit they going back and be like damn it's like really rap like I'm gaining like a new
set of followers know what I'm saying like broadening my my my my catalog and shit like I got shit
with FBG so I'm just I'm worried about myself and the brand at the same time like but like more so
the brand the FBG who owns the copyright for the brand or like who owned like is there a company
like LSC and shit it's us it's us know what I'm saying everybody it's not pops I'm saying these are the
founders along with up
Okay.
You know what I'm saying?
So like I came in and I got in.
So fucking like right now every state and it's been looking good, every step that I want to take, I want to include these two.
You know what I'm saying?
I want to include my engineer, my videographers.
And shit, I want to make the brand outshine like the people that oppose us, you know what I'm saying?
Even a lot of motherfuckers that's in the game for like y'all can't fuck with us.
Like no cap.
You feel like you got the, like, how do you feel about the support from the fans?
You feel like you have almost more people watching you who are haters or more who are actual fans?
Man, the shit crazy is like they watch, like people, people don't know how to show love, you know what I'm saying?
People just know how to kick up bullshit and controversy.
But like now it's like motherfucking, like, I can see in my comments that it's getting better.
And they be like, damn, man, I like, how you talking, motherfucking eyes wordplay and shit.
Like, man, they came looking for cash and they picked the right one.
I want to see him win.
The underdogs, the underdogs, the underdogs.
anything comes with me comes to them like shit so i got a chance of him we come to cali my fucking
it's my second time being down here we driving exotic cars we're chilling them i want to
shut his whole experience with them know what i'm saying got my boy boating down here be mixing for me
me engineer got billy car no he's raw he's a fucking white boy i was just looking at his
instagram because i seen that all because all your videos still go on his channel huh yeah not all of
not let some of them go okay let me let me get some bill
Right.
But, man, he wrong fucking, what he do in, like, the process was,
motherfucker.
I'm proud of the process, like, waking up, call to him and FaceTime, man.
And Billy, what you think is he going to do, man?
Like, we got fucking took down by fucking a label, and we both motherfucker running around,
like chickens were out here.
Because of the beat?
Yeah, yeah.
You got on somebody else's a beat?
Yeah, I got on the beat.
Motherfucking, man, it was on YouTube.
It was a tight beat.
Oh, one of those.
Okay.
Yeah, so, but fucking they took me right down, but I know I just hurt the body with
that shit.
So, man, we figured.
it out got that shit put back up said immediately steal but do you ever get on your
ops beat and then they get the song taken down no that was the first time so
like when I did it the second time I was already prepared for it so I had already
remade the beat that's my beat okay because that's what happened with that push
he was beefing with had a back-in-blood remix but they kept getting it
taken down yeah like I fucking with Jizzle I saw him when he first came out I know
probably a couple of us reached out and say like that's different from like
like oh man click up man I'm not fin to come to fucking Memphis and help y'all gang bang
and we don't need y'all to come do that but like I just like like them as an artist
that's too much that's dumb as fuck know what I'm saying like shit what you don't know no blocks
or nothing but it's just like you come out here for I'm not fend you encourage you we can come out
and kick it you know what I'm not I'm not going to encourage you to fuck it don't ride
and look for no option me you know what I'm saying fucking we get in the fender been where
you're going to go yeah no I'm so like my fucking I'm my fuck I had reached out to him though
when that um shit happened is
we started rapping and kicking it and shit
I was supposed to go down there and do some music
but like I had some shit going on
and I think of something.
Word. How do you feel about
Doug's mom becoming such a public figure?
Oh, that's supposed to happen, you know what I'm saying?
Because we haven't really seen a mom do that
in this kind of scenario but obviously her viewpoint
is very important.
When you say like never seen a mom do it
you mean like...
In this whole drill thing or whatever.
You know there's a million.
fucking moms who are hurting and hip hop in general i mean there have been examples of moms who've
been kind of public and so like want to be the voice like want to be the next to speak up about
yeah i mean i think she has a really important perspective i like seeing her come out doing interviews
and shit i feel like i feel like i feel like you know what i'm saying like um that's my girl
know what i'm saying like we family so shit whatever whatever she do it's like even if you get
mad like you can't be mad so like if you got the platform and then like you try to protect
the brand and folks legacy
I mean the Duck legacy
just make sure
every move is calculated
you know what I'm saying
just make strategic moves
so you can be the voice for Duck
you know what I'm saying
like and that's just it that's all
but she said that she felt like his friends
hadn't held him down the right way or whatever
maybe she was feeling like that at the time
know what I'm saying like maybe
maybe she woke up on the wrong
was out of the bed but like we talked to her
like I don't know about friends
like we like family
you know what I'm saying so like maybe it was something
that she felt like at that time
but when you sat down and rationalized
on the shit you was like
damn I owe y'all in apology.
And that's that's that I go.
That's my girl.
Interesting.
It's complicated.
Yeah.
You got to sympathize whether she's going through some of the worst shit somebody could go through.
Yeah, you can't jump on her.
Because we can just, yeah, sometimes people agree to disagree, but like, we don't forget.
Like, we family, you know what I'm saying?
Do you have that thing in your head that makes you never want to leave Chicago, or are you somebody would be open to relocating?
I'm really, I don't want to be in Chicago.
I'm hoping you show me a way to give me a million dollars right now when we leave here and say come pack your bags
That's what this interview is all about yeah pack your bags cash come on let's go we go on
Fucking yeah like Chicago of course I want to go back home and get hair of chicken and get a tag beef and want to visit and shit
And want to visit and shit but like hopefully I get to the point where fuck it I'm down and in the restaurants
They make me not even want to go back and eat the same shit that I was eating last 30 years
I'm saying like I don't want to see those same streets I really don't want to be in Chicago when it's cold and
I want my kids to go to school that, nothing.
I don't owe Chicago nothing.
I'm saying?
I don't want to be that no more.
Right.
Yeah.
But do you worry about how people might perceive it
if you were to take off?
Hell no.
Like shit.
Doses.
Like, of course, I still keep me a crib that, though,
that's off the rip.
Like, I ain't fending me doing no capping from another state
and we were, like, at one point in time,
I ain't going to be a rapper no more, you know what I'm saying?
I ain't going to make music, no.
I ain't like, I ain't know rap ass.
You want to find artists?
Yeah, yeah.
Find an artist?
Yeah.
I got an artist.
Hell yeah, I want to sign me like a Taylor Swift, though.
Ooh.
Lady Gaga type shit, you know what I'm saying?
I want to come in.
I don't want to sit here and have to coach nobody that still want to do drill music and make
R&B and shit like that.
I want to come right in with a Justin Bieber.
If there's a Taylor Swift or a Justin Bieber lurking around on 63rd and you discover
them, then you deserve a fucking award because that's...
Thank you.
They are, though.
They might be out there, though.
You might have to go.
The rose that grew from the...
concrete you might have to go just like that what folks makes to record at uh chance at the
library at studio here at watch uh go there like they got a studio there like for a look at page
and you just make vibes say look man who i got this going on i can really sing why i go but i can't
get studio time i come with me so it's my goal to protect you even though you're gonna have
they're gonna be in some compromising situations like for a studio ass like see some shit you ain't
supposed to see but like look you focus on the mic and let's get the shit out there and I'm gonna push it
push it push it push it and then hopefully my phone wouldn't even know that cash was working on the
project until they blow up so they got no room to hate on it no room to try to fucking make calls error
smart do you relate more to Will Smith or Chris Rock man man I had them in my career the other day man
both of them yeah both of their ass man they both mad's hoes man
I don't know what's wrong
Relate boy
Like, I relate to Pookie
Man
What?
I got to take Pookie man
Why Pookie
Because New Jack City
Yeah but I mean
He was going through shit
Will Smith foe like man
Some freak shit
Folks like you know what I'm saying
Like I'm like I don't know
Like but like I ain't never heard about my boy
My fucking uh
If they had Pookie host on the Oscars
That should be fucked up
You can't put him in that position
I thought he was gonna turn into Pookie
Fuck he almost did
You see his brain working
and I bro
some disrespectful shit
was definitely churning through Chris Rock's brain
because you see him laugh
like he laughs at his own thought process
and then stops himself from saying it
he's a comedian he's a professional community
he could have said something right then
that would have been the most legendary
diss of all time
if he had just let himself go but he's a real professional
I was impressed that's a good way to look at it
because I like man he just off the
off the rip genuinely funny
you know what I'm saying everything you say funny
like even if he said something serious like his voice like would have made it funny like
fucking like so shit that's that that that just made sense what you said like he held his
character know what I'm saying so like he should have got an Oscar too for that yeah
smack the taste out your pokey it took me a second to remember I'm like oh yeah
Chris Rock did play that character that was a long time ago man yeah that was back when he
used to get shitty roles in the movies before they realized like oh no we need
this guy to have some camera time.
They said that's his best role.
Yeah, but he didn't get that much screen time.
You know, now you get Chris Rock in your movie.
You're getting him as much as possible, right?
Man, he was the movie.
I was like, poop.
He died, but like, he was in that.
He came on from the beginning.
He got the first scene, right?
Getting chased through the park.
You got the first scene.
You got some pookies in your life?
For sure.
Don't go to the snow pook.
Take that question.
Take it however you want to take that.
Take it where you want to.
Gayster.
For the show.
Yeah, I appreciate you guys
coming through.
This is a great interview.
Great conversation.
I'm glad that you don't think
I'm trying to just get people
stoned and get them to incriminate
themselves on camera anymore.
I'm glad you ain't offered me to weed
because I probably would have been like
and them been looking stupid.
Like, motherfucker fucking.
I don't do you want.
You want some big chief?
No.
Yeah, I'll take it.
You smoke it later when you're alone
so you don't got to worry about the white man
getting you to say some crazy shit, right?
Let's see your ass coming.
That's some good shit right there.
Who cares?
Big Chief.
Big Chief.
They're everywhere.
Those are the homies.
Ain't nothing wrong with that.
We definitely gonna look.
See, I don't even know how to open this shit up.
You got to tear the top piece off and then you slide it.
It's a whole thing.
I don't know how to smoke.
For sure.
You never got weed that didn't come in like a zip block before.
Man, see, so this got to be some real motherfucking weed because this shit,
motherfucker habit of a late.
Open it right up, man.
Yeah, it's from Cali.
It's from my motherfucking sixty-seven, man.
Straight up.
Let's go.
