Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back, welcome back. Welcome back. Y'all are my favorite Christmas song? Let's have a very merry Christmas and a happy new, a happy new. I don't know that one. It's TLC. Oh. Slaywright.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Yes. Okay. And RIP left eye. Definitely. Everyone always goes to Mariah Carey first. That's facts. I thought she was probably going to go there for a second. But she kind of stamp it.
Starting point is 00:00:30 every, like November, right? I'm sick of that shit. That is kind of like a goat Christmas song. Didn't that shit go like, nigga, Diamond? Put numbers on it. That's one of the most old Christmas songs of all time, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:00:42 And then she re-recorded it, and again, like, set a bunch of records. Stop doing that shit. We got to put some respect on this. You get in your bag. I understand it, but I don't want to hear that shit. And she's still fine as hell. Come on, Mimi.
Starting point is 00:00:54 She is. Especially for her age. Yeah, she is. We got to put some respect on Destiny's shout. Doesn't it feel like Christmas? Not in the same category. No? Not quite.
Starting point is 00:01:05 I ain't going on. I don't know that one either. Maybe if I hear it, but it's not. When it was going through the mall over there. I can't hear it in my head when you singing it right. Because I'm fucking it up, huh? I don't know. Have you heard of know it?
Starting point is 00:01:14 Have you all heard an easy East Christmas song? I don't know. Yes. It's called like Merry Christmas motherfucker or something. Isn't there like an entire like rap Christmas mixtape or something? Yeah, there's multiple. There's multiple. I'm going to lie.
Starting point is 00:01:27 The only rap Christmas song that come to my head. head is Santa Claus. Oh, Neda. Goes back to the ghetto. That's the only thing that pop up to my head when I hear a rap Santa Claus. The first one was Run DMC Christmas Time and Hollis for show. Then there was like the Easy E one, which is amazing. I encourage everybody to listen to it.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Then there was like, remember like the dipset Christmas mixtape? Yes. That was so hard. I think DJ Cali. No, not DJ. CMG put all the, uh, no, it was DJ Cali. They put out of the album probably like, he put an album like maybe two years ago.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Okay. I know, I think Fab and Jada kiss is on it. I ain't gonna lie. DJ Callet albums go right over my head. Yeah. He pisses me off. Then there's the-out-Od-J-Colidth thing. Then there's the Gucci-Mane East Atlanta Santa.
Starting point is 00:02:13 I just fucked up, and I'm so sorry. It's a rock nation album. Okay. Yeah, it's a rock nation album because Yo Gotti's on it, too. And that's what I'm saying, CMG, DJ Callet. It's not there as it's rock nation. Makes sense. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Lush. Do you remember anyone? other than the Easy E ones that's like Bangers Christmas song? I mean, to me, that's like the quintessential hip-hop Christmas song of all time. Like, those other projects that I mentioned are dope. I would love for you and Vashti to collab on a hip-hop agenda with something. I don't know what, but like... Me and Vashti got some potential plans in the pipeline.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Anytime I talk to you, I feel like I'm getting, like, a history lesson. On stuff that, like, you should teach lectures. at colleges. Oh, thank you. I appreciate that. Like, that'll be fucking hard. I've actually, it's actually almost happened a couple of times.
Starting point is 00:03:05 I have, like, taught little classes. Really? Yeah, it's actually happened almost with the colleges. Not yet, but, uh. Professor Lush. Fire. I know, um, yeah, the homie Mickey Fax has a,
Starting point is 00:03:16 a whole university and accredited lyricism university, and he was going to actually talk to have me do some history type shit over there. Sure. Wait, what school is it? Um, it's, called Pendleum Inc. is the name of his school. Shouts to Mickey.
Starting point is 00:03:33 2009 double XL freshman alumni. You know how they have like world history. Yeah. Stuff like that. I think that like rap history should definitely. Yeah. At least that like a HBCU. It's music history.
Starting point is 00:03:49 That's essential. 1,000% and shouts to Vastai for being so tapped in. That's why her and I got a long incident. Yeah. Because a lot of people who rap now. I don't know shit about no music history whatsoever, like at all. And that's the biggest thing. I feel like that should be a requirement.
Starting point is 00:04:06 For sure. I feel like to be a rapper, that should be a, oh, God, that should be a fucking requirement that you got to go take some other. Because don't you got to do any other skill, nigga, you got to damn near do some form of classes for that shit, nigga. I feel like you should have to do some form of history class. Except for podcasts. I know.
Starting point is 00:04:24 To be able to participate in this shit. Facts. But you feel me? If you should rap, you should know. the forefathers of the motherfucker that you came from, no cap. They was telling me some shit that I didn't know about because it happened in like 96 or whatever
Starting point is 00:04:36 but a lot of my history if I didn't, if like my dad wasn't talking about it or if it wasn't on a like freaking documentary on YouTube or something like that, I don't even know what happened. Yeah, because if you're outside of that time because this is before mass media was even covering a lot of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:53 She didn't know about the Graves Street shit with the Sorcerer. Yeah, and we were literally talking about similar stuff as far as rappers getting taxed when they first came out here and all that. Yeah. But like that, that's a, I don't know when the disconnect began because back in the day, like in the 90s, when like Pock, big, all these dudes are popping, Mob Deep, they're never disrespecting Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and, you know, the rappers that came before. And Rakim and Big Daddy Kane were never talking down on Run DMC. Like, everyone was very aware of their predecessors. the history.
Starting point is 00:05:29 I don't know when it changed. I feel like it might have been once, because I can attest to this, I feel like when you rap and you're coming up and then you get to a certain point where you feel like you didn't made it or like you, you're getting some form of traction right
Starting point is 00:05:46 and like your shit kind of booming. And none of the motherfuckers before you from your area reached out, it make you just want to be like, man, fuck them niggas. They didn't do shit for us. We got here by ourselves type shit. So it's like,
Starting point is 00:05:57 I feel like if every generation after don't try to help the young niggas coming up that leaves a bad taste in the in the next generation mouth. You know what I'm saying? So you think that the older generation is partially responsible. Hell yeah. I agree.
Starting point is 00:06:11 I think because the people that you mentioned not disrespecting each other, they might be more similar than they are similar to the newer generations coming up. And it seemed like it's probably when the music change. Well, it's weird. And I feel like it varies region to region too because to me, I think a lot of it started with Soldier Boy and him coming,
Starting point is 00:06:31 and like not just because of him and not just because Soldier Boy does everything first, but when as a 16-year-old kid, not using any industry channels, literally uploading songs to Napster and Limewire and blowing up off of that and then MySpace, that there is no real need, there is no precedent for who came before him and all that. But it's also kind of weird because, like, if you look at it, the rappers in Atlanta, they might not be super tuned in to the New York history, but they all respect Outcast.
Starting point is 00:07:03 You know what I'm saying? Like shit like that. I think out here, ROGs didn't fuck with us. At all. Coming up. There's a big disconnect in the generations in LA. This is facts. And you can just see it.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Like, I think maybe Snoop is probably one of the only ones who like really tried to do his thing because like all our goats, where are they labels and where are they artists. Not here. Yeah. We don't have none. Like, that's the disconnect. Niggas didn't put nobody in position, but they friends. But if you go up north to the Bay, they all fuck with the OGs.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Facts. Facts. Facts. Facts. In one way, shape, or form. That nigga didn't even come and got motherfuckers from around here. Hell of. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:45 You feel me? So it's like, nah, the Bay, they definitely do it a little different. Wasn't problems first hit with 40? That function? Function? Yeah. See? Shit like that.
Starting point is 00:07:54 You feel me? Now, that's the shit that I'm talking. about and yeah shout out to you 40 because that's a nigga who definitely do it but like far as LA or like you know what I'm saying are or down here you feel me not the Bay Area who yeah Snoop yeah you feel me when he was fucking with Joppa and then there's a huge cultural disconnect where people are just at this point nobody's a lot of these kids coming up rapping they don't care about quote unquote hip hop they're just like we raping we doing our shit that's like it's a completely separate movement it's both our fault
Starting point is 00:08:26 because we be like, because I'm not even going to lie, that was my problem too. I'd be like, I don't go to fuck about none of that old niggas shit like when I was younger coming up. But still, it was because once we got to a certain point,
Starting point is 00:08:39 like, no, we don't hear from none of these niggas. Like, ain't, nope. And it ain't even like, me. It don't got to be me or even the motherfuckers I know. Nobody? Y'all didn't reach out and fuck with nobody. You feel me? And now we're starting to see it a little more,
Starting point is 00:08:54 like I just seen a sugar-free fucking. with Yellow Hill. You know what I mean? Like, things like that would make sense. Like, I've always, I never understood. Like, why didn't DJ Quick fuck with G. Perico? That'd be, like, a perfect combination. Fricet.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Bitch, if I wanted you to talk, I'll put your hand up your ass and make it so. Come on that, that nigga would be saying. He'd be talking spicy. That shit was hard. He'd be talking so spicy. Facts. Come on. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:09:20 I think accessibility probably definitely changed it because even how you brought up Social Boy, it made it easier for people to be artists. And now if you think about. People was building studios in their houses. Anybody could be a rapper. All you really just need is equipment and a lot of followers. In order to be... Social media, your reach is way higher.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I was just interviewing the homie open Mike Eagle from Project Blow the other day. And we actually, he talked about you in there. It was actually dope. Fire. And he was like, we were talking about back in the day, in order to become a rapper, you had to be outside.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Because there's no other way you're going to find a studio. There's no other way you're going to get on shows. There's no other way you're going to find producers. other people to collaborate with. Now, you don't even need any studio gear. You record on your phone. I could get a beat from someone from Germany right now
Starting point is 00:10:05 and do a whole song on my phone and then self-release it through Distro Kid. This is literally facts. I don't need to walk into stores. Facts. Niggas do that. Not literally. So it'll make you get an extra little chip on your shoulder because you're like, I don't need nobody else
Starting point is 00:10:19 because I already did this on myself. Fuck, I need to reach out to them old niggas four type shit. You feel me? And then then they're like, I don't even want to fuck with them. and all the beef that they got anyways so it would just be like both you know what I'm saying but I feel like it would have been a little different
Starting point is 00:10:32 if they were if niggas would have tried to reach out to help the next generation because then that at least make us want to respect them because it's like I can respect you because you you reach the same goal that I want to reach it and we got the same type of shit and you come from the same area
Starting point is 00:10:48 you got I'm saying so like you're going to get that respect but as far as that's going to go because niggas didn't do nothing else type shit and really like teenage you and I understand it. When I was a kid making, you know, even considering making music or even listening to music, if my parents thought the music that I was listening to was cool, he would instantly make it less cool to me. You know what I mean? Like, we want as, as youth, the youth wants their own identity. They want to be able to do their own thing and not have somebody old
Starting point is 00:11:17 and far away put restrictions or labels and limitations on it, which I totally understand. But then when the people that actually laid the foundation are getting disrespected. And like, I'm talking about people like Pock. I remember when Yaddy was going bad on Tupac and Lil Zah. A lot of rappers was coming. Like, within his past decade. Of all the people like Pock. Like what?
Starting point is 00:11:40 And like, bro. I want to say Grito said some shit about him. He did too. But, okay, but I understand the Grito thing a little bit more. And that's literally just on some street politics shit because a lot of, a lot of Crips from the east side, particularly like Watson even like really Compton, they don't fuck. with Pock. So there's like a whole that's different. That's kind of how I took it
Starting point is 00:11:58 from Grito. You know what I mean? But as far as a lot of these other dudes, because Brito older too, you know what I mean? Like, but as far as a lot of these other dudes, it's just, it's crazy because Pock is a dude that died in his mid-20s. This isn't like some old dude
Starting point is 00:12:14 trying to gate keep. It's not like KRS1 being like, yo, you kids aren't hip hop. You know what I mean? This is one of y'all who just happened to do it before and died way before his time. So, you know. Like, what are we talking about? And that's the nigga who did, who had accomplishments outside of music. That's like a revolutionary.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Like, even though I get it, he wasn't from over here. He claimed it real hard. I get it. But still, nigga, that's a revolutionary human being. That's a once in a life. That's a once in a generation type of man, bro. You got to put some respect on that. That's like a fucking nipsy hustle type of figure.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I was going to say. He did crazy shit, nigga, acting. You know what I'm saying? Poetry. All type of shit. I can't even name. Nip's the closest thing we've had to Pox. And that's why that was the only thing
Starting point is 00:12:59 that I could kind of compare. And he lived a lot longer than Pock did, like a good eight years longer than Puck. And on top of that, he didn't, like, he still didn't do the full extent and reach the same levels of fame. But, you know, obviously Nip is one of the goats, love him, you know, but Pock is Pock.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Yeah, literally. That's like, it's hard to compare it to anything. Nip would even say that, I guarantee you. Facts, it's like Michael Jordan. Like, yeah. You feel me? Yeah. Literally.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Well, while we traveling back in time, let's go ahead and recap 2020. The year in review, view, view, view. So we literally going to start from the top of the year, the first day, January 1st, where Kodak Black was arrested. Bro, I guess he got caught up in his hometown, Pompano Beach, Florida, for trespassing, which is crazy because it was less than, like, damn near a year after he was pardoned by Trump. But even since then, that fools got caught up a grip of times. That's just Kodak, bro. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Street niggott, I don't know. Kodak just, he don't learn his lesson. No, I know he was arrested multiple times, but is that the video when he was going back and forth with the cop? I saw another one recently where he got up, like driving in a vehicle. Like, I think he had a expired license or revoked license and got his going back and forth with the cop.
Starting point is 00:14:22 He's always, you know. It kind of feel like they'd be picking on him. I'm sure they'd, I don't know. I'm sure they'd. You know his car. I'm sure they do. It's Kodak and his floor. I'm sure they're fucking wins.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Exactly. Definitely. I love Kodak, regardless. On January 11th, Dolf's killers were arrested in Indiana. Damn, it's been that long already. That's crazy. Time flies.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Rest in peace, Duff. I wasn't really a big fan of his music, but he was definitely like a big fixture where he was from. I was a huge, huge Dolfs fan. I remember Dolf's music, hearing like, I remember first hearing Dolf on like MySpace in like 2008. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:00 He's like really was grinding independently for a long time. And I've always really liked Memphis rappers. And I'm like, this dude is fire. But then it was what really made me like an avid listener and slapping him all the time was when he featured on the Gucci main song, Texas Margaritas. And after that shit, like he just went on a crazy-ass run. Um, what's, what's, what's, Wasn't there a fan that he had invited on stage at Rolling Loud one year?
Starting point is 00:15:30 And he, like, paid a college tuition and something like that? He'd be doing shit like that. He gives back a lot. That's a real pillar in his community. I mean, if you think about it, his life was taken while he was giving back, while he'd going to a cookie shop in his, you know, in his neighborhood. Because his grandma wanted some cookies. A part of his routine.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Just a really dope rapper. I also think it's important to note that was, dope about Dolph is at the time in the South when he first really rose to prominence in I want to say 2013 is kind of when he first started making his big push is at a time where almost every rapper down there was using heavy auto tune yeah and he wasn't wasn't and just had this like really like everyone's mumbling that's like the quote unquote mumble rap wave which I hate that term regardless but during that time he was like really enunciating clearly and concise and just cutting through the beat.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Like, he went against the grain. On January 26th, NBA Young Boy's house was rated. I mean. Young boy, I don't know. They'd be fucking with him, too. But young boy is definitely like a wild card. Bro, they'd be fucking with him. This fool literally...
Starting point is 00:16:46 He's a wild card. This fool literally, admittedly, shot up an entire block with the chopper and got away with it. like didn't get convicted. Oh, shit. And that's way before that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Got tried for it and got, it's out, is free. And it was like known and verified that he did that. We wasn't even trying to like deny that. Then a nigga was on probation riding around with straps shooting in video. Young boys are fucking menace, bro. That niggas in absolute menace. Yeah. No cap.
Starting point is 00:17:18 While we're talking about young boy, because I don't think this is on here, but it didn't happen in January, but him and Bobby Smurter have to have. the most. I feel like unexpected beef of the year. Yeah, that was very... But I mean, y'em-e-y-boy beef went damn to everybody. He's like, literally, he's like Beetlejuice. You say his name, you fin to appear. Facts. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:17:38 No cap. Moving on to February, man. Nellia apologized for his meat. He posted it himself? I think he got... I think he posted it to his page on accident, but it was supposed to be in his close friend. Man.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Was that that, or am I? And that do be happening, though. That do be happening. But, I mean, recording a dick is crazy. That's absolutely crazy. He did a dick for Instagram. Close friends or not. That's a while.
Starting point is 00:18:06 I don't put my dick on camera. He did that shit on purpose. Man, that's crazy. One thousand out. He knew what he was. I never saw it. Like, I was straight on seeing anything like that. Yeah, I don't give a fuck about Nelly's dick.
Starting point is 00:18:17 But I will say this. Thank you, Nellie for the tip drill video. So if that was like his initial, you know, traversing the waters of pornography with a BET uncut classic then inspired him 20 years later to take his dick out, I guess.
Starting point is 00:18:33 I don't know. I feel like we had like pause for y'all but it's been hella like dick leaks this year because I want to say wasn't it this year when they exposed Hitman Holla's close friends with his girl or was that last year? He started doing that shit on purpose though.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Like he like was and started charging people to be on his close friends and was making hell of money with sexually charged content and his, yeah, smart. This is my first time hearing about that. Space Age pimping. Lil Fis, Dick was leaked multiple times
Starting point is 00:19:06 where his butt hole was leaked a few weeks ago. Oh, bro. But not his butt hole was leaked. How was your butthole leaked? Get me so confused. How is your butthole leaked, my nigga? What are you doing? Why is there photos of your butthole?
Starting point is 00:19:22 how is your butthole leaked? Bro. That's amazingly gay. Who takes butthole selfies? Like, it's okay with being gay, but why are you taking butthole selfies? What the fuck? In fact, it's impossible to take a butthole selfie,
Starting point is 00:19:37 which leaves me immediately leave. Nah, I don't think it's impossible. I don't think it's impossible. I think anything is possible with mirrors and phones these days. Anything. I think he had his homeboy taking the butthole selfie. He probably did, but you know, like big closet mirrors because I'd be seeing bitches be getting every angle possible by their self.
Starting point is 00:19:55 True that. So I'm sure he was taking notes for his butthole pictures. Pause. I didn't even know about that until right now. What the fuck? But isn't Lil Phiz to say he was in B2K or? Yeah. It wasn't Raz B a part of that too?
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yes. Okay. It wasn't Razby. We know. Yeah. I don't think. But that was a little different though. I don't think Phis and Jay Bug experienced that though.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Yeah, but I mean there's just. I think they all did. No, I don't think they was a part of B2K at that point. I think they came like later. Regardless, all I'm saying is that group is prone to like facts, sexual. Yeah, shit with males. But hey, ain't that wrong with being gay. More power to you, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:20:35 But like, your butt hole on camera is crazy as fuck. They also had a, I think it was one of the best drinks champs episodes this year. Which? When there's Kanye episodes and all kinds of fires. Well, one of the best. Okay. So Kanye was a good one. Game was the good one.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Issa Rae was a good one. Patty LaBelle happened. Yeah. You know? But they finally told us exactly why they broke up. We never knew why B2K had broke up. And the same reason why they don't get along now is the same reason why they broke up then over a bitch. Because they was taking, because they weren't waxing before their butthole selfies.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Like, what the fuck, man? And then that's crazy how y'all just let the whole little shit go down because of, because bitches, that's amazing. That's crazy to me. Snoop Dogg became the new owner of Death Row Records as of February 9th. Didn't he turn into an NFT label? For a second, I think.
Starting point is 00:21:33 It wasn't the Mount Westmore album supposed to be in NFT originally? I'm not sure. I'm not even like I know shit about this NFT nonsense. Well, it wound up the market crashed. But regardless, just the symbolism behind Snoop getting getting death row back.
Starting point is 00:21:51 It's fire. Or actually even obtaining it, period. It's crazy. It is dope as fuck. And I think a lot of people get caught up in like, okay, well, what's up with the artist he's putting out? Is there any plans for the label? Now, yeah, he did have one artist that he put out, but then it didn't really.
Starting point is 00:22:06 That didn't go on. Yeah, it didn't. But, but what about just like the rights of the image and likeness and the logo and all that? All that is fire. For his history, that's definitely a major accomplishment. and that was necessary. They sell death row jackets at foot action. Like, he's kicking off of that.
Starting point is 00:22:25 That's almost like buying your grandmother house. Right, that's licensing. The house that you like, you know, your childhood home. Like, that's freaking amazing. That's like buying your grandmother's block. Like, all the cribs on it, yeah. Y'all hiring for A&Rs. You know who to call?
Starting point is 00:22:42 Call me. Mazzie was signed to CMG as a February 10th. That was fire. I feel him. Huge move. I think he might have felt like he hit his ceiling as far as West Coast legendary status, and he might have needed that extra little. So you feel like me, let him go, you know, past the places that he already went.
Starting point is 00:23:01 So now that was a good move and that was a big move. I mean, there is definitely like a ceiling, especially when, unfortunately, and I hate to say this, with Northern Cali artists. It seems like, like, think about it. There's people that are... Depending on the kind of music that you make. Sorry to cut you up. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:23:18 there's people that are huge artists in California from Northern Cali but when's the last time a Northern Cali artist broke on a national level? Facts. I want to say G. Easy? Yeah, that's what I'm saying and it all depends on the kind of music. Maybe Guap Dad, you could say,
Starting point is 00:23:34 but he never really had those. Or 24-carat gold? Or Kamaya from? She from out there, too. Yeah, yeah. Or sweetie from out there. Like, those are the examples, but there's so, like,
Starting point is 00:23:45 and those aren't the best artists from there. as far as... Kamaya's fire. She's, yeah, she's great. You know what I mean? I should say there's a lot of other artists that deserve that shine as well.
Starting point is 00:23:56 But I think it's really smart that Mazi made that move. Definitely. Because, yeah, what else could he do? It's very selfless and it's very humble to be under another artist. Unfortunately, we haven't
Starting point is 00:24:07 really seen what could come of it yet. Because he and Gio. Right. Yeah, free Mazi. CMG definitely one of the biggest, like... And it seems like they do well for them. for their artist too. I want to say yo Gotti's become
Starting point is 00:24:20 if not the best for sure top three A&R slash rappers in the game right now. He's put on a lot of people. He's got yo Gotti. I mean money bag yo. Money bag yo. Blah. Black youngster, Glorilla. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Mazzie. Yeah. Fuck. Who else? There's somebody else to it. It is. Sorry if I'm leaving them off. Niggas looked at me crazy when I said they're the next young money. I mean they're not far. I mean that's a lot to compare.
Starting point is 00:24:47 but they're the closest thing. Yeah, that'll be the closest thing because it ain't never going to be another Drake and Nikki. But they're definitely, definitely, you know what I'm saying, definitely in that caliber-ish. I definitely get where you going with it
Starting point is 00:25:00 for sure, for sure. I thought he was going to sign a... I thought he was going to sign 42 Doug at one point, too. 42 Doug not with him? Is he? I think he is. Or a little baby. No, little baby's not.
Starting point is 00:25:13 No, little baby's not. Yeah. No, I know little baby is with P. I know he'd be fucking. Oh. Yeah, he could be with OPF. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is he?
Starting point is 00:25:23 I don't know. Can we look that up? It's probably your godddy. Now I'm like, I think it is your godddy. Well, I know that he's your goddick. I know he fuck with a little baby a lot, but I don't know if he signed. That's right. Okay, so he is part of CMG.
Starting point is 00:25:36 So his little baby and him? Okay, so he both right. Yeah. All right. I thought so. Where is 42 Doug and Jill? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Hmm. Forty two Doug. And who did he do the album with? I love this album. It's the last thing they dropped before he went in. 42 Doug is hella short. Who do? Who he got?
Starting point is 00:26:03 ESCG. Yes, last one's left. That came out this year. E.C.G. Fire. 42 Doug, like, there's just so much talent out of Detroit, but he's definitely a part of that way, for sure. That's one of my favorite albums of this year. Favorite rap album?
Starting point is 00:26:18 albums. Then we should have made a list of rap albums. I was going to say... Damn. What I will say is a late contender for one of the best albums of the year that a lot of people haven't heard yet is that new ab soul. He went crazy. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:34 A couple people was hitting me up asking me why we didn't talk about on the news, too. Yeah, it's a fire album. And then on the same day that Blueface was arrested for possession of a gun, Kodak Black was shot after a fight. Oh, yeah. At Justin Beaver's party? I remember that. Somebody getting it cracking at Justin Beaver's party.
Starting point is 00:26:56 It was crazy. I mean, if anyone's going to do it, it's yeah. You feel I mean? It's called out. If anyone's going to do it, it's yet. Hey, but what kind of party was Justin Beaver having? Was this his birthday party? It's probably hell of turrent, whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Because he'd like converted into like, Christian now? I mean, maybe those is going away from his last day out. Yeah. Okay, and then Kanye, okay, I feel like
Starting point is 00:27:33 we can go into a whole spiel about Kanye West. Let's talk about him. We could have just done the Kanye year and review. I know, that would have been like, yeah. Kanye bought Julia Fox.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Oh, they brought, broke up when did they get together they got together last year i guess so when did he buy her and her home girls burghers is that the um the kim cardashian look like no that's the one before her this is the skinny the skinny bra he was the white chick i don't remember her coldak black shot in a leg at beaver's after party oh super bowl weekend okay oh you in la Oh, I do remember this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:16 And it was like a surveillance camera that had caught everything. It was like footage of him. Yes, I do remember that. They were standing on the corner. Okay. I don't remember that. On February 18th, it was announced that pushy tea has squash his beef with Drake. Which is funny because Drake was taking shots on him on the new 21 album.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Yeah. And he was just talking about that shit. But maybe at that time, he thought that it was over. He's probably, he's probably still confused. Like, why doesn't he keep taking shot to me? I mean, but you did drop the biggest bomb, the biggest Drake secret bomb ever. And let's be real. It's never over.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Drake is great at doing disc tracks. I mean, he made a hit record out of a disc track. But when it came down to that beef with Puscha, he looked, he fucked him up. Pusha was on his- Y'all think Puscha fuck Drake? I think he did. I think with the information alone, he did. I mean, beyond that, like, he was, that's how,
Starting point is 00:29:13 He was a cutthroat disc track. Did he fuck up Drake as like as in what when y'all say he fucked them up? He just fucked up his baby rollout. No, I don't, I don't mean like he fucked up anything Drake had going on. I mean, in that battle, he fucked him up. Yeah, literally. He won. Yeah, like, I don't think he derailed Drake career or no shit like that.
Starting point is 00:29:32 But the whole, like, the whole, like, way he had the blackface album cover. Yeah. The whole, you know, like. He fucked him. The whole presentation. Getting at 40 for being sick. which is a very low blow. It's kind of scanless.
Starting point is 00:29:47 That's some real battle rap shit. He fucked him up. So it's because like how serious the content was. Right. Well, not just the whole. And how it was all presented. Yeah. The execution.
Starting point is 00:29:58 That's why I'm, yeah. Like when you go to a fancy-ass restaurant and I give you to play and just everything is just positioned on, and it's just how it was presented. He fucked him up. He had to push out of great presentation. And then if you look at Drake, what was the song,
Starting point is 00:30:12 the Duffy song, like, do anyone even remember that? I don't. Not a memorable disc track for Drake. He did much better in the Meek Mill of shit than he. Yeah, he went crazy on Meek, and the way he strategized it, even laying out a decoy disc track first, and also the charged up song. And then even people forget that his verse on Stay Schemean
Starting point is 00:30:33 was going at Common, super tough. Like, he's good at districts. That's Stayskeming verse was five. That's one of French Montana's best. that's low on whatever that was that was like a hook that that like french is one of the best french's hook that that was his first mainstream cosign like before that yeah you know done all the stuff with max b and all that but that was like when his wave was really about to get crazy that coby barred in age water he wasn't with me shooting in the gym yeah why not why not
Starting point is 00:31:04 Rupiter grade but why not I love Kobe it just didn't age well I think it did You're saying because of like the... Now, if this was like a helicopter bar, I would completely feel that. Yeah, yeah. But it's just you wasn't with you shooting in the gym. I don't... Elaborate.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Because I want to lose 150Ms. Yeah, yeah. Kobe, my nigga, I hate it, had to be him. Yeah. But you wasn't with me shooting in the gym? Yeah. Kobe stayed with her. Yeah, but I mean, he was about to at the time.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I feel like I get it when when somebody passed away anything that was kind of to him is kind of left in a bad taste. But maybe if it was like a deaf bar, you know what I'm saying? Then I would completely feel like, like, that ain't age well. I know what you're saying, though. You know, but not. I feel where you going. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:00 But it ain't land for me, though. It ain't land for me, though. But you felt it? You feel me? I get it. I get it. You feel me? But you're right.
Starting point is 00:32:10 But when somebody dies, any bar about them could be a little bad taste. them dying is that they stayed together. But it was still a tribute. And like that, the reason why I feel like it aged well is because people still say, bitch, you wasn't with me shooting in the gym. But you cannot, you can't comfortably wrap that verse right now.
Starting point is 00:32:28 I ain't even going to lie. I didn't even know that that was like a Kobe bar into it right now. Maybe because like I didn't, that wasn't like a song that was on my playlist or something. But like I just know that bitch you wasn't with me shooting. And so many people remixed that shit. Like, I think Joe Moses said that shit Like a lot of other motherfuckers said that shit
Starting point is 00:32:48 So the only thing that I can really remember From stay scheming is nigga the hook And bitch, you wasn't with me shooting in the gym? That's it. I think out of respect for him dying in the relationship alone, nobody's comfortably rapping that verse Or even making that reference. It's just crazy.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Like when a phrase like that becomes injected into the lexicon of society, it has staying power that can't be denied. Like the phrase, bling, bling is now in the dictionary as a result of, you know, a song from 23 years ago. But Drake definitely beef different because we got to remember when this whole beef shit was going on. Isn't that? Oh, that was last? When did he drop Drake address?
Starting point is 00:33:30 That was last year, huh? That was a couple of years ago. Oh, the Kanye shit. When Kanye posted his address, that was last year. It was at least a year ago. Yeah. I don't know exactly when. Well, the Jersey shit was this year, no?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Chris Paul, he was wearing Chris Paul jersey? They said that was an old picture. Yeah, that came out. He came out this year. Or resurfaced this year. I think it might have surfaced back then. And has that been substantiated that Chris Paul was piping Kim? Like, it's like, I don't know, but I mean, it looked like they was really,
Starting point is 00:34:02 it looked like there was on that type of time, though. As far as with the Drake picture, you know how Drake play. Drake, Drake is a fly-ass, like, petty nigger. I just wish that, like, I had enough. money to be that petty. Bro, like when he had beef with Meek Mill, and Meek Mill that was like, he literally, I think it was when Meek Mill went to Toronto during that time. Drake found out what hotel he was at, rented out all the rooms above where Meek was staying.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Oh, and recorded, charged it. No, he played back to back on loop. He played it on loop very loud, so he had to hear it. Okay. Hey, who mentioned that in the song? Somebody mentioned that in a song that Meek had to hear it on the floor above him. I remember that being, that's why I thought it was charged up.
Starting point is 00:34:50 I don't know, but yeah. That's insane. How does the hotel not get complaints about back-to-back upstairs just blaring? That's why you rented out there the entire floor. But you could hear it under. If Meek had somebody else under that floor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How did you pull that off and nobody complained?
Starting point is 00:35:07 That's crazy. Obviously, he had a mole at the hotel that showed him. love. Because how did that even nigga? Well, he probably just bought all rooms and sent somebody
Starting point is 00:35:17 to set up speakers in every single room to just play that. Tell me who y'all think is the worst person to beef backlit, 50 or Drake? 50.
Starting point is 00:35:26 At this point? Right now? Or both in the heyday of their career? Right now. Right now, Drake. But hey day niggas career, 50.
Starting point is 00:35:35 I agree. That dig a derog, your whole shit. I don't think 50 cares enough at this point for it to be working. He might just. He'll just troll you a couple of Instagram posts.
Starting point is 00:35:45 But he's not going to take your baby mama shopping and play Stevie Wonder. Isn't she lovely in the video? Like he did to Rick Ross buying his baby mom, mint coats. And then narrating the sex tape of her getting fucked and have it go on World Star. Bro, he was really doing then how he just trod his son, nigga, with the big ass hotel suite in the bath, watching it on TV and shit. Like, bro, this nigga's the ultimate. That was a good moment this year. That was a highlight of 2022.
Starting point is 00:36:16 That's definitely. Damn, how did we forget that one? I know. That's definitely fire. Super Bowl happened. Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Snooplaug, and Snoop Dogg performed for the halftime show at the Sulfide Stadium in Englewood. It was big for the West. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And Storm to Barge was a part of that. Shout out to the Storm. Shout out to My Girl Storm. That was like, I felt like that was a win for all of us, you know. for us to watch her career and then boom she on stage with the ladies yeah you gotta
Starting point is 00:36:46 like that was just even though obviously Eminem and 50 being a part of it they're not like West Coast artists but they're still attached to that Dr. Dre legacy so there's fuck it's just dope it made it made me feel
Starting point is 00:37:01 a lot of pride I was out of town I think I was in Philly watching that and I was like yeah like this is this is huge and then the Rams you know while that's going on You can't even write that in a damn book. Some stuff that followed up with this after the performances was a lot of people felt like game should have been on that stage.
Starting point is 00:37:22 I could understand that sentiment, you know what I mean? But to not have 50 be a part of it, even though for a game. Yeah. But a game is from here. Yeah. That get a little tricky. I don't know. But 50 not close with, I'm saying, Dre not close, would.
Starting point is 00:37:40 game like that anymore. He closed with 50. And I don't know if y'all know, but Jay Z was the reason all that shit got set up. So, shout's to Jay for quarterbacking that, no pun intended. I feel like at some point, though, in these meetings and these conversations, game and YG's name had to
Starting point is 00:37:56 have come up. Like, I just feel like they had to have, like. Yeah. We don't know how many more. For sure, to have YG and them is definitely low-key. But I mean, what was it like a tribute or like, what was it? Like, what was they doing? Just some just some West Coast shit? No, it was they got put on for it was really just Dr. Dre getting put on and then he made it like a
Starting point is 00:38:17 Dre legacy thing so what's Mary Jay ever have any parts of YG career no was Mary Jay Blige blise what he wasn't what's Mary J. Blige and Dr. Dre's he produced um that uh let's get it on the flow now in his that story yeah okay and that is one of her biggest songs so it wasn't about it being a west coast stage it was about The Dray's. Yeah. But a lot of people are going to take it like that, especially when you got like Snoop,
Starting point is 00:38:46 Crip walking up there and all that, smoking a blunt. Like that's, which is fired. But I think, you know how we would be talking about if people would just come out and say what it is? If they would have just came out and said this is a Dr. Dre stage rather than this is a West Coast.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Because I think people taking it as this is just a tribute to the West. Because you see Dre and Snoop up there and Kendrick Lamar. It becomes a slippery slope, though, once you start including YG, And it's like, okay, well, how come Ty Dala sign is not there? Right, right, right, right. If you cut it off, like, these are, how come Ice Cube wasn't there? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:17 You know what I mean? Like, there's so many different, you got to cut it off somewhere at some point. I agree. But, you know, it was still really dope. We all could be critical about different things, but, you know, it's kind of funny how that's the fattest I've ever seen 50 cent looking and him hanging upside down like an obese vampire. No, the memes that came after that was crazy Because
Starting point is 00:39:44 Well, I don't know I remember seeing that Bruh, he was like the chubby You didn't see him being a rotissory chicken? No Yeah They did They did him in Oh, now I'm just realizing that
Starting point is 00:39:57 I skip way down to the bottom You sure did And then you start going there And I went backwards, yeah A little dyslexic No, you didn't She did Because I didn't even talk about
Starting point is 00:40:05 Pete Davidson, kid cuddy I went straight to push a T but fuck them let's go to the next month is March missing there wasn't anything for March I guess damn the whole month
Starting point is 00:40:23 it wasn't nothing for women's history month no she did go figure no she did misogynist no jumper strikes again earlier today did you see yes I was at home watching
Starting point is 00:40:39 you know I'm always watching but the irony here is that Me and Vashti just sat here and did this. Facts. The well-pating. The women made the list. Self-deprecation. Baby Kim and Kendrick Lamar won
Starting point is 00:40:54 best rap performance for their song, Family Ties at the 64th Annual Grammy Award show. I feel like the Grammys are just like a lifetime achievement award. Because when Kendrick should have won his award, he didn't. Right. You know? And then now, like, retroactively, he gets awards that he should have gotten before.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Now it doesn't really fully make sense. Although Shastakeem, he's, you know, I'm happy for him getting a Grammy. But is that really a record that deserved a Grammy? I don't know. Is that the, um, what's the song everybody would be using? Top of the morning, top of the morning, top of the morning, top of the morning.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Is that that song? No, I think that is that song. That's that song? Okay. All right. I can see that. I think it deserved a Grammy for its impact. I could see that.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Did it really? I could see that. I think it was impactful. Once it was the top of the morning song, I think I could see that. Because there was memes. They played that song at every stadium, bro. It was impactful, introduced a new artist, and this was also when he was, didn't they announce him leaving TDE around his time?
Starting point is 00:41:52 It was right around that time. So it's like, you know, we hadn't heard from Kedrick in a long time. Like Moamba, like, you feel me? Is that his name? Yeah, well, Shaq West. Shack West, there we go, there we go. Yeah, that song. Like, you see me?
Starting point is 00:42:04 They play that shit at stadiums when sports is playing and all that type of shit. You feel me? So, and that shit was all over the internet. too, but that doesn't necessarily viable for a Grammy, but I think it did have a big impact. Okay. Because it's like, who was he up against? That's a good question. That too. Who was opposing
Starting point is 00:42:23 that? That was a really good, you feel me, yeah, pivot. Who was opposing it? Nobody. Not that I can remember, I don't know. I can't think of any records off the top of my head. Because we'll be having to remember what happened last year. We're really off topic. It wasn't the
Starting point is 00:42:38 song. It was the performance. Right, yeah. So that's more... Best rap performance, okay. Is that the... That mean a video? I think the stage performance. No, is it?
Starting point is 00:42:51 Because I thought... Best rap performance. I think it means the best performance of a rap song, aka... Let's find out. The music video. I don't know what that means. Best rap performance?
Starting point is 00:42:59 I think it might be on stage. I don't believe so. I don't know. Because where would they perform it at? If it's before the Grammys, they probably would have only did the... Okay, I just... So it says right here,
Starting point is 00:43:10 the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance. No, it's literally like the rap song of the year. Oh, okay. They should reword that because best rap performance? Yeah. It has nothing to do with a live performance. Which is really stupid, my fault. No, but you're not wrong for making that assumption.
Starting point is 00:43:27 You feel me? Because this has Best Rap performance. So I'm thinking maybe that's some other shit where you actually get your award and it's like a BET award or stuff like that. Like, you feel me? That's what I'm thinking. Like best rap performance.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Like you feel like? Beyonce when she'd be on stage. You feel me shit like that? Okay, so... Isn't there an award for that? So, wait, no, so this is for... Okay, I just looked up 2022. And those nominees are actually solid,
Starting point is 00:43:53 but I guess this is from 2021. Because the songs would have come from the year before. It was, uh, yeah, it's... I mean, the other nominees... Yeah, I can see why it won. I mean, thought shit by a Megan the Stallion. Jesus. Up by Cardi B.
Starting point is 00:44:10 and my life by 21 Savage and Jay Cole. Yeah, that was definitely winning. I can see, yeah, I can see now. There we, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. For quality rap performance. Yeah. They really still, they're using the word in the definition. Yeah, because I'm so confused.
Starting point is 00:44:29 That's dumb. It has nothing to do with a live performance. That's trash. I get it. I definitely thought it was some form of performing and had nothing to do with the song, but I guess it means the performance of the song.
Starting point is 00:44:41 In the vocal booth. Quality rap performances. Yeah. That still sounds like stages to me. So Kanye won something. Kanye won for best rap song and best melodic rap performance. Here we go again. For jail and Hurricane, which jail featured Jay-Z.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Hurricane features The Weekend and Little Baby. Tyler Creator won't. Okay. Sorry, no disrespect. I just didn't want to read everything, all the winnings. That was a good album, the Tyler album that he won, The Call Me If You Get Lost. Tori Lanes was...
Starting point is 00:45:18 He was actually rapping on it. Tori Lanes was re-arrested for violating a court order regarding a 2020 shooting insult. I read it like it was something that wasn't related to today's trial. Wasn't that the shit for where you supposedly beat? What's the name, Mass, backstage? August I was seen that It's a couple more months
Starting point is 00:45:44 Yeah that was more recently So he, okay Tori's just out here Allegedly Tori was gooning Allegedly Allegedly It was alleged he mentioned her
Starting point is 00:45:53 on social media Which was considered a violation Agreece and peace Oh Not rolling loud What was it? Was it rolling out? What other festival?
Starting point is 00:46:10 I think it was rolling out That's when he came out the suit. Was that? I think it was rolling out. If it wasn't rolling out, then what was it? It wasn't Coachella. Yeah, yeah. And the baby did too.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Rolling loud, this shit was crazy. Niggas was going to jail left and right. Wasn't the baby shit last year that that happened? When he was canceled? Yeah. That wasn't this year. Yeah. Should just be a blur.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Rest and peace, DJ K Slate. He passed away at age 55. due to COVID-19 complications on April 17th. Incredible DJ, and people don't realize how far his contributions to hip-hop go back. He was in, if you look up the movie Style Wars, it's like the original New York City graffiti documentary. He was a kid. He was like a teenager. His name was Des.
Starting point is 00:47:04 He's a legendary graffiti writer, one of the originals from New York back in the day. So Kay Slay really spans since the entire origins of hip-hop culture. He's a true legend. multiple generations. He's the man. Facts. Aesab Rocky was arrested in Los Angeles on April 20th
Starting point is 00:47:24 in connection to a shooting. We could keep going. Street sweeper. Dog, this was in May. May 9th, Youngthug, and 26 others associated with YSEL were arrested for RICO and conspiracy charges. They've been sitting down for a minute, huh?
Starting point is 00:47:48 Almost a year. Damn. A few more months, less than a year. year? Rest in peace, Lil Keed on May 13th. He died at age 24 due to kidney failure.
Starting point is 00:47:59 It's crazy because we're not even mentioning half- That just made me want to drink some water. Come on, bro. Not even mentioning a fraction of the people that have died this year. It's terrible. But yeah, bro, like,
Starting point is 00:48:10 it's really important. Like, you know, read, it's obviously not good to sip syrup at all. But if you're going to... You need to drink some... You need to overcompensate your water in some...
Starting point is 00:48:21 1,000 percent. There's a, like, literally if you, like, the instructions that come with the permethystine with codeine bottle tell you you have to consume a certain amount of water with that. And that don't mean soda either. Litter. Water. Water. Very factual.
Starting point is 00:48:38 On June 2nd, the trial against Eric Holder for the murder of Nipsey Hustle began. He ended up, oh, he was arrested on April 2nd of 2019. That trial's not over, is it? I don't think so. I think they were supposed to recently Like a few days ago, right? Convict him, but it didn't wound up getting pushed back. You know what, though?
Starting point is 00:48:59 Man, this guy. Fuck him. Fuck Eric Holder. You know, feeling me? Got packed the fuck out multiple times. He's lucky he's still. I hope they pack his ass up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:09 I don't understand what's taking so long when, clearly it's on camera. We know he did it. We know who did it. We saw who did it. It's like, what is there to talk about? I don't know the details to the shit, so I'm not sure, but you're right.
Starting point is 00:49:23 I mean, we pretty much know what the fuck. He's not saying I didn't do it. But he didn't, did he plead guilty? I'm not sure. If he had pled guilty, this wouldn't be a thing. He probably played no contest. Yeah, he probably played no love. That should literally be like no way that you can do that when it's on fucking camera.
Starting point is 00:49:38 You can always plead no contest. You're definitely guilty. What I think the question is, was it first degree or not? Now it could be the semantics of what exactly the charge him with? Is it premeditated? But does the city of law? Los Angeles really want the city of Los Angeles to be in a rage if this man is not convicted the way he should be. This is facts.
Starting point is 00:49:57 That's why. That's probably what's taking it so long too. 1,000% they want to make sure that he go down. Man, come on. Where are we? Rest in peace of trouble. He was shot on June 5th. Trouble was fire.
Starting point is 00:50:13 That's a real street dude, too. I'm not familiar with his music. Trouble was crazy. He was one of like one of my favorite rappers from Atlanta actually. Like there's been some between between takeoff trouble bankroll fresh a lot of slim ducking a lot of the hardest rappers from Atlanta unfortunately met an untimely demise. But he had trouble trouble was he was like one of the first dudes in Atlanta that I ever saw that had a music video which that looked like a Chicago drill video way before that way was even popping just with hell of fools with insane choppers that they couldn't even. hold because they're so fucking big. But he could legitimately
Starting point is 00:50:54 wrap his ass off and he got a lot better too. He was at first kind of like a street dude that rapped and then he kind of just channeled his skill and got way better which is good to see always. Rest and peace him. Little T.J. was shot on June 22nd. I remember being super
Starting point is 00:51:10 freaking like devastated. I remember that. When this happened because it was just like fuck. Come on. Please make it. Please. I was praying like I knew him. Like please, please. Please, please. And then we got that video of him on FaceTime with somebody, and they say he was straight.
Starting point is 00:51:26 What about that double X-L freshman list from this year? I had wanted to get through the bad stuff first, and then I was going to go through it. Okay. But the 2022-22 double-exel freshman lists included Nardo Wick, Dochi. I don't know how to say his name. Who, Sofago? Sofago, baby-faced, Ray, Kaylee, Casey.
Starting point is 00:51:48 How do you say that person, man? Coaches. Big 30 Can the men Big Scar Saucy Santana and Baby Tron How do you guys think this age? I think Baby Tron is valid
Starting point is 00:52:00 Baby Face Ray is valid Baby Face Ray is valid I think Nardo Wick is valid Sofago valid Yeah, sofago's valid I guess you can How the fuck did Sassy Santanyways I'm not even gonna do you?
Starting point is 00:52:13 Yeah Because everybody was Let me see you walk You're right You're actually right That was all over TikTok, wasn't it? You're right. It's a diverse audience.
Starting point is 00:52:24 There's definitely an audience for it. Yeah, somebody's listening to it's not as. Yeah, a lot of people. But as far as, I feel like it's... I don't know half the names. Coachies, Dochi, K-Sai, Kali. That's why I didn't want to say nobody name wrong because I'm not familiar with them.
Starting point is 00:52:38 That's the weird thing about double X-L. I feel like certain years, they're really on point, like 2016. Certain times, they're just all the way off. Certain times, they either are way too early on a wave or way too late. And I remember seeing an interview with the woman that's like the head of the selection committee. And one of the barometers she uses, like, the primary barometer is radio. Which is an antiquated metric at this point. People don't even care about radio or make music catering.
Starting point is 00:53:06 They play baby face ray on the radio? Maybe regionally. I don't know. And I'm not saying that. I think baby face ray is on the radio. Yeah, yeah. That's fire. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:14 I'm not saying that's the only. That's a terrible radar. I don't know about Baby Tron being on the radio. Yeah. I've never heard. And, nigga, I was hip to Tron before almost anybody. You records were trying, don't know. I have multiple records with Tron and videos.
Starting point is 00:53:26 And, nigga, I was hip to Tron in, like, bro, like 20 fucking 18, 19. Like what they first songs before. I was hip to Tron before TRD was even a part of shitty boys, nigga. See, I started slapping him in like 2020, I would say. I was hit when it was just Stan Will and Baby Trine. It wasn't even TRD yet. Like, Nick, I was one of the first niggas hip. No cap.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Shout out to Lando, Tron, TRD. Stan Will and Baby Tron, you feel me? And I feel like with Nardo, they kind of were a little bit late with that. With So Fago, they were a little bit late because he was already supposed to have the whole wave with Travis Scott and all that, and that wound up not happening. So it's kind of...
Starting point is 00:54:07 I'm not too familiar with his music. It seemed like his name might be a little bigger than his music. He was like, as far as that whole underground scene, he was the dude that kind of was the first to blow up from it. as far as summers and all those dudes he was like from that same a little bit before I like summers and I like autumn
Starting point is 00:54:24 but I'm not too familiar with so fake it yeah they um this is why I do appreciate double X L though because the majority of the time when he lists drop everybody's not going to agree with them but at least what they're doing is putting us up
Starting point is 00:54:36 on artists who we're not familiar with facts this was pretty bad I think I've seen worse yeah that was kind of shit though is one of the worst ones Tron Ray Nardo fire when you compare that to to 2016, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:54:49 And you have Oozever, Kodak, 21 Savage, you know what I mean? Like, every single person on that list, like, to the least successful ones being like Denzel Curry and designer, and they're still successful. So you're talking about the way it aged. Well, but yes, but even at the time, it seemed like they were more on point with it. Right. At that time, they were all kind of cracking like a motherfucker. I don't know a lot of those people.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Yeah, there's no, like, there's no one. on this list that was more relevant than Yadi was that year or Uzi was that year or Kodak was that year or 21 was that year correct me if I'm wrong Well I just I feel like when I'm gonna lie fool Nardo Whig views are fucking crazy
Starting point is 00:55:32 Um baby Tron is definitely a nigger right now But I get you though I don't know if I fuck with I feel you I think you're retrosan heavy I love Trond You might be right When I retrospect when you talk about the old list, then it'd be like, oh, yeah, those were good lists. But there are people who back then when those lists came out was like, oh, who the fuck is this? These people are trashed.
Starting point is 00:55:53 These people was asked. But we can talk about it differently now because it's so many years later. We don't know where these people are going to be at in the next three years. And then we'll look back and be like, damn, they did a good job in 2002. No, you could be right. 1,000 percent, although I feel like a couple of them have already fallen off and a couple of them are never going to take off. But you're probably, you know, you could be right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I would agree with that statement. Both. Both things. That's she probably right and a lot of them probably. I mean, let's be honest, Ken the man's in the upper echelon of that thing. You feel, me, like top top five or six on that list.
Starting point is 00:56:24 I'm not familiar with Ken the man. Then there's... Ken the man just bodied her BET hip-hop award. Cipher. Oh, it's a female. Yeah, yeah, I am familiar. Yeah, she's not whack. We interviewed her earlier this year.
Starting point is 00:56:39 Shout out to Ken the man. I mean, I don't think that. It's one person on here who I'm not going to call out because I don't like Trashing people, but I just don't think that they, it's kind of seem more like a PR play more than anything. Facts. But, um, for sure. I don't like to speak too soon on shit like that because I feel like in the next three
Starting point is 00:56:58 years we might be like, damn, this was a good one. Or, you know, they, they was early on these people or, you feel like me, they did what they have to do. I'm going to say baby face Ray and Baby Tron or like Detroit wins. It is a freshman list, not a middle school. Yep. At the same time, you feel like this freshman, not high school or whatever you want to say. Like, this is the one you're supposed to already have some shit.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Like cracking, nigga, you're a freshman and you got something going. That's like Ricky the year. You feel like me like you got some shit going. It's not like we think you're going to have some shit going. That's not freshman list to me, you know, is you got something right now. I get exactly what you're saying, though. But I feel like freshman list should be you got to be worthy right at this moment that your name goes on that list, not a projection of, yo, possible potential.
Starting point is 00:57:45 See, I look at freshman list as who to be on the lookout for it for the years to come. For sure. Yeah, definitely that too. But I feel like it's, it need to be certain goals right now and we're looking for you for more of it in the future, but there still needs to be certain goals
Starting point is 00:58:01 and certain criteria to be men now, you feel I mean? If being mentioned on the freshman list is the height of your success at this point, then you were put on it too early. Facts. Facts. If that's the only thing that you can put on your resume as I was on the freshman list. Like if that's the best shit you got, you definitely shouldn't have been on it. I think a lot of these people that's on here, though, was doing award show performances. Yeah, but even like, look, I'll refer to it again. Even that 2016 list,
Starting point is 00:58:31 XX, X, X and Toshione was like the fan vote on there. And he was huge at that point. Absolutely huge. And then even like alternative people like Anderson Pack, Lil Dickie, you know, like they might not be big in the scenes that we fuck with but i mean anderson pack is huge he just had an album with you feel me um bruno mars you know and and little dicky had a huge television you don't think these people have a future i don't know some i like baby face ray definitely about what they did after the list i'm looking at i'm looking at baby face ray and baby tron for sure let's move on to july yeah we did stay on at a little time yeah we did stay on at a little
Starting point is 00:59:11 too long. Arkelly was sent this is still June June 29th Arkelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He should have been sentenced 30 years ago. I believe he should have.
Starting point is 00:59:21 That made this through him under. Yeah. You think he's ever going to get out for like early behavior or something? Hell. They said he just had a baby. I don't think he's going, I don't think R. Kelly going to die in prison,
Starting point is 00:59:33 bro. I think R. Kelly getting out. I think he's going to get out. I ain't going to lie. I think he's going to find some loophole or some refills. form or something, I think he'd go. If I'm not mistaken, a few weeks ago, there was just a report about him possibly getting
Starting point is 00:59:48 released. I don't know. I know that the girl who just had his baby, I know that she was, like, posting, like, false reports and shit at a point. But I do remember, like, a few weeks ago that they were saying that it was a possibility he might get out. Man, fuck our Kelly, bitch ass. Barry him under the jail.
Starting point is 01:00:06 I don't give a fuck. Hey, I feel all that. But I don't know. Something in me feels like. he's going to get out. He's going to slither his way out of the cell. Yeah, I think he's going to slither his way out of that shit. I'm not even going to lie.
Starting point is 01:00:18 He could. You're like a nigga who didn't eluded this shit for 30 years, I think his freaky ass is going to slither his right right out of prison eventually. It's crazy because it just goes to show you that moral fiber and talent are not mutually exclusive. At all. Because he's one of the best artists, like ever, but one of the freaky's a motherfucker. Worst humans. I think if he would have continued to cooperate with whoever he,
Starting point is 01:00:41 he was cooperating with and whoever he was making happy. Man. And he'll be still out of three. Because all of a sudden. At some point. Motherfuckers just jumped out the wheelwork. He should have did whatever the job he was doing these last 30 years. Clearly something changed.
Starting point is 01:00:53 I don't know how he beat the case with the whole, you know, pissing on her own camera. Right. Naga, I remember the Boondy's episode. You know, that was before my time. The Chappelle show. So all I knew was the Chappelle show when he did the whole little song, I'm going to piss on you. Yeah. That shit.
Starting point is 01:01:10 And the Boondy's episode. So I was like, even barbershop mentioning it. I got R. Kelly, sex tapes. Oh, yeah, Boolet,
Starting point is 01:01:19 Buleg. Yeah. In July, Janay and Big Sean, oh, that was expecting their first shot together. Did she just have
Starting point is 01:01:28 the baby recently, right? Just had it. Eric Coder was convicted on first degree murder charges for the murder of Nipsy. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:36 Fuck him. Fuck Eric Coder. Mm-hmm. Jay the Youngman RIP. RIP, Jeter Younger, bro. I was definitely a fan of Jada Younger. Rest of peace, Jada Youngen.
Starting point is 01:01:47 He passed away on July 27th. He was killed at the age of 24. Jada Younger was fire, bro. I was definitely... I ain't gonna lie. At one point in time, I couldn't stand NBA Youngboy and I really, really was fucking with Jada Youngie.
Starting point is 01:02:01 But like, eventually, young boy grew on me, but I was a Jett Younger fan first. I love Youngboy. My only thing about Youngboy is he has... I fuck with a young boy now. He has so much music. It's hard to know what to listen to. Fact, because you've got to just go through the whole discography.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Yeah, you've got to start. You got to start. You got to sit for a couple hours. That's what I did, because, like, all my homies is playing that shit. And for a minute, I was like, I'm not listening to this shit, bro. But I just one day I sat and went through the whole discography, and I found like five songs. And I found like five songs that I like. If you just, like, go to Spotify, you're not going to, like, you have to dig deep in there.
Starting point is 01:02:31 I went on YouTube, beginning to the end. You feel me? And then found some shit. I found like five songs. His high points are very high. Yeah, it's facts. R.P.Jetty Younger. RIPJ.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Yeah, I was, I'm kind of sitting here like... Yeah, yeah, yeah, we kind of blew that. R.P.Jadena, like, I was a big, big, Jett Younger fan. I ain't going on life. Since, like, 2016, I was fucking with Jett Yonke. Definitely. Them, 23 and all that shit. Like, he was doing the thing forever, 23, all that shit.
Starting point is 01:02:56 He definitely had some fire shit. It's super depressing, having to wake up every other week to a new death and rap. Man. I think it's... so many of us now, so many rappers now, social media, so you feel me, it's way easy to get caught slipping. And I don't, yeah, I think that's the, the two combos. There's a lot of rappers and social media. Between that and the fact that hip-hop's been around so long that a lot of rappers are dying of natural causes too. So when you like combine all that shit, it's just like,
Starting point is 01:03:31 we're lucky if it's a week. Normally a few a week, right? Yeah. So on August 15th, 15th, which is Nipsey's birthday. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which would have been his 37th birthday. Well deserved. I was super duper to say those exact words. Well deserved. He got his, he's getting his flowers.
Starting point is 01:03:51 He's getting his recognition. Yep. I think that's for show a win for us. Definitely. For L.A., for the district, for his section, his family, everything. Shots to him, Lauren, and you feel, me, the kids. And shout out today, the family. and, you know, everybody just his whole camp
Starting point is 01:04:10 for keeping his name alive and making sure that, because they also opened his store this year. He has a new dispensary that they opened up. I went to the grand opening for it. Shout to the Amish Dund family, you feel me. They dropped his documentary this year. They just been, like, killing it to me. As far as just keeping his name alive
Starting point is 01:04:29 and making sure that everything that they talked about and discussed with him is coming into fruition. As they should, that's the only rapper I cry when he died. Oh, yeah, I was devastated. And that's like literally the... Then when Kobe died, you know, less than a year after that, it's L.A. losing our biggest sports icon
Starting point is 01:04:48 and rap icon slash street legend. Fuck, bro. I ain't going to lie, nigga. The Kobe went definitely. The Kobe and a nifty one, man. But Kobe for sure. That's fucked the neck up. That's my favorite basketball player.
Starting point is 01:05:00 And I feel like there's a lot of crossover between Mamba mentality and the marathon continues. Hell yeah. Definitely. Kobe's death, was one of those deaths that I saw it being reported on the news, and I was wishing this was one of the things that they got wrong.
Starting point is 01:05:14 Yeah. Like, because we remember for a minute, they didn't even know who was in the helicopter. But when the, what was it, the paramedics and stuff, was leaking photos. That's how we kind of got the confirmation. But it's like, I was just hoping this is one of the ones. Remember, like, earlier when we was reporting on,
Starting point is 01:05:30 and we was like, oh, this shit fake, you know? Right. Well, I remember when Nipsey first got shot, because I remember the initial reports were Nipsey Hustle got shot. It wasn't, he didn't die until several hours later. And my first, I remember my homie being like, yo,
Starting point is 01:05:45 Nipsey got shot and I literally remember this clear as day. I was all, he's been to be straight. It's Nip. Right. Of course, he's going to be straight. He just got shot. He didn't get chipped though, you feel me? Like, he's going to be right. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:59 On behold. For them. Legends. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Yveen opened up a new high school in Limerk Park. I didn't know this. And I was on August 18th.
Starting point is 01:06:10 It's shit, though. I ain't going to lie. It's shit. It sounds like, I've seen a whole documentary on it. It's really shit. Where is what? I'm not sure. But I know that like, nigga, the people who worked there was asking for money.
Starting point is 01:06:25 Like I said, that they don't have like the whole lot of essential shit. Yeah, that they don't have it. But I do know that it's hard to get the money directly to the, students or the funds, like when you got to go through districts and all of that shit. But I feel like if Dr. Jay and Jimmy, I v. Ingo open a school, bro, that shit should be the most plush and well-built school niggas ever seen in their fucking life. And it's not. Is it a charter school?
Starting point is 01:06:51 I think so. Yeah, because I doubt it's a public school. I don't think so. I'm not sure, though. It might be. But I do know that I did see some little YouTube little video on it where they were saying, like, the teachers were complaining. And somebody there was complaining, and they were pulling out of it.
Starting point is 01:07:05 her students out. There again, the parents were pulling all their students out because they didn't like the curriculum where they was lacking shit, all type of shit. It's all bad. Damn. If you're going to open a school, my nigga, do it right? Unfortunately, it's another shooting that happened on August 19th. Quando Rondo was targeted. Somebody died on that day, right? No. I think his brother, Lil Pab, I think it was. Yep, that is, because that's when I just started working here. Yeah, Lil Pab or Little Pab. Excuse me if I'm messing up the pronunciation of his name, no disrespect, R.P to him. But yeah, I think that was the time when he was driving.
Starting point is 01:07:44 Is that where he denounced that he was? He had already dropped 60s before that. Yeah. He had already been dropped 60s. I think so. Yeah. I thought the reason he denounced it was because he felt like people wasn't having his back. I think he had dropped it a while before that.
Starting point is 01:08:00 No? Really? This was the reason. No, I think that. I'm not familiar maybe you can look it up I swear he had dropped that shit like a couple years ago Nah not that long
Starting point is 01:08:12 I've seen him in pictures With six holes nigga Because maybe when he did that He had did a whole interview with Big U After that so maybe he denounced it once That's what it was Yeah yeah he but he did already He had already dropped it
Starting point is 01:08:25 I'm telling you all I know that that long paragraph happened after his friend died Yeah for sure Because they was talking about it on Clubhouse Yeah maybe he had some disagreement with the 60s or something like that, but I know I've seen him
Starting point is 01:08:38 in L.A. Cuando Rondo dropping his flag after Los Angeles situation is more dangerous than the shooting incident. Yeah. September 7th. Yeah, because I know he has some discrepancy. No, I remember this. I remember that I... But I'm saying he did it before. He has some discrepancy.
Starting point is 01:08:57 It wasn't him dropping his flag, but he had some discrepancy and then it ended up getting squashed because he did an interview with Big U. Yeah. He had something going on, but it wasn't dropping his flag, though. It could have, it was some form of discrepancy. Him not wanting to pay. Because he ended up doing that.
Starting point is 01:09:11 There you go. Him not wanting to pay taxes and shit. Or I think, no, I think something happened. And then he tried to call him and big you and then was like, don't call us now. Right. Like he wasn't trying to fuck with us at first when Nick is trying to just get you to fuck with us on some 606-0-6-0 shit. But now you won't backup. I remember back in 2020 this going on because my homie, shout to my boy Rezic who owns
Starting point is 01:09:33 Litco dispensary had him over there and there was like a lot of fools from 60s were like trying to creep on him as a result of that so um this was so freaking devastating and us being able to see this shit on the and this is i okay so september 12 uh p and b rock was killed at the age of 30 at rascos in los angeles i think we was all moved by this and it's like the The way that people just dehumanize celebrities and just sit there and freaking record them on their phones and post it and share it to the entire freaking world is just so disgusting.
Starting point is 01:10:15 And then last breath shouldn't be on Instagram. No, I don't understand how your mind can go to, let me pull out my phone, let me unlock my phone, let me go to my camera, let me post it. Like, all right, maybe, and even this is still too far, maybe recording it when you go home, showing your family, like this is what just happened. and not still going too far.
Starting point is 01:10:35 But to post that shit, you're losing your mind. If you're not helping out the situation. You need to don't even be there. Facts. You shouldn't even freaking be there. And the way that people were trying to drag his lady for that too
Starting point is 01:10:48 and say that it was because she dropped the location and then they got rolled up on when it turns out that's not what happens. Right. But that's what we was talking about a few weeks ago. They're like social media investigators. We like jump to the gun too quick and just want to blame,
Starting point is 01:11:03 because I'm sure we was all guilty of thinking that she has something to do with it. I mean, like, yes and no, like for show it could have been that, but then also just knowing, we know where that should have. Because of it could have been a possibility. Yeah, it was the way that it was reported to.
Starting point is 01:11:18 Right. Because, granted, yeah, she did make the post, but that's not even a situation. That's not what happened. We could paint the picture, though, him pulling up in a damn phantom or whatever the fuck he rolling her, a G-wagon pulling up to Manchester and Maine.
Starting point is 01:11:30 Come on. Which is crazy. Yeah. Yeah. And then that's something else. We all question Manchester, me. Yeah. Everybody here.
Starting point is 01:11:37 As L.A. natives, we do not. We don't even go there. I've never stepped foot in at Rosco's. I don't even know what that motherfuckers still open. Man, everybody knows that's Roscoe's or Roaches. Yeah. Right. But rest and peace, the P&B, rock, definitely gone too soon,
Starting point is 01:11:51 taken too early from us. And 500 racks was just up here with me and suspect and she let us know she got an unreleased music with him. That's coming outside. I heard it. It's fire. I play it every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:01 You all would be hearing it. soon if it comes out and gets, you know. She's also a music video. Yeah, and she got the video too. So we might be seeing a, you know, a post B&B rock. Posthumous. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Video drop. Hell yeah. On September 28th, Kulio, dang, that was this year. Kulio passed away from a heart attack at the age of 59. It's so sad how many of these news items are either
Starting point is 01:12:35 someone got shot, someone got killed, someone died, someone got arrested. It's like 95% of these headlines. This is facts. Every single one, bro, that shit crazy. It's crazy, right? The first time I said, like, back in, like, 2017, 18, I said, like, rap the most dangerous job. And niggas looked at me crazy.
Starting point is 01:12:55 And I was, like, tell me a more dangerous one. And now everybody's saying that shit now. Like, nigga, we, it's hard. Nigger rappers, as rappers, you don't know everybody who want to lay a hand on you? but everybody knows you. So how do you separate it? And we're so desensitized to it.
Starting point is 01:13:11 It's like it just becomes this blur. It just becomes words in the headline. I remember when a rapper died, we all felt it and there was the gravity of it and it was so intense and people would talk about it for weeks on end, if not months, if not years. And now it's just, we forget in so many of them.
Starting point is 01:13:29 A lot of these deaths, I forgot they even have it. Literally. I'm so sad about like, EMX. Man, that was one of my favorite rappers. MF Doom, there's a lot of, you know, there's... Draco. Well, this year, Stacey Dash found out the DMX fast away.
Starting point is 01:13:45 Yeah, I remember. That was right. I think she's kept as fuck. I don't know what month is up. You have to have no phone. I think it won't. Stacey Dash is like pretty far removed from... But you have to have a phone.
Starting point is 01:13:57 You've been famous forever. I know these other famous people have your phone and they'll probably text me and be like, yo, did you hear about DMX? Like, shut up. She gets, like, she gets her news from, like, far right-leaning. She saw her, she got her news from newspaper, like, on her front door. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:13 Yeah. It sounds crazy. The fuck. I guess it's time for us to get into Kanye. I know his rents and everything started prior to October, but I think the majority of the stuff happened last quarter. Kanye West's Instagram account was locked following his, I don't want to say the word, but... Anti-Semitic. Antisemitic?
Starting point is 01:14:33 I don't know if he gets... Can we say it? Antisemitic remarks. Oh. Uh-huh. Can we say that? I think we could say anti-Semitic remarks. My uncle?
Starting point is 01:14:43 No, my anti-Semitic. Yeah, my anti-Semitic remarks. My auntie. I thought she couldn't read it. I didn't know that. Uh-uh, no. Say it. My bad.
Starting point is 01:14:52 Anti-Semitic. If that's not a word I learned this year, no, I don't read it pronounced. Like, I don't even know, because I don't even think you can say it on TikTok. Well, TikTok, they, they, they straight, you can't even smoke weed on TikTok. They took my, video down talking about smoking.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Like I did a clip where the where a nigga was like, you smoke weed or nah, I don't smoke no weed and they were just tripping. They took my whole shit down. Yeah, Kanye West's Instagram account was like following his blank some marks, remarks, some marks. Look at me still trying to say
Starting point is 01:15:25 Semetic. It's too late at this. Kanye West talking about the Jews on Instagram, all right? There it is. Oh, shit. Okay, but I'm confused with the saying it's directed at Diddy Because wasn't Diddy like having Kanye back? No. With the shoe thing?
Starting point is 01:15:42 No, no, no. Like, he had posted like, I'm standing with my brother. Am I tripping? I think that might be a whole other incident. Yeah. It's hard to follow what Kanye was because one day that could be your friend and one that could be in the United States. Because remember they were going back?
Starting point is 01:15:55 He was like posting the Instagram. He was posting the screenshots of the text messages they had back. Yeah. He was telling Dilley put up or some shows. like that. Oh my. Okay. See,
Starting point is 01:16:05 I'm sleep on that whole Kanye yeah. He told Ditty pull up niggott. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Rant thin. I'm not going to say this one. So let's skip that one on October 8th. It's just more of the same. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 01:16:20 because Diddy was tripping on the, that's what happened. Oh, okay. So he initially, it was the White Lives Matter T's and then Diddy was like
Starting point is 01:16:30 trying, was trying to stand with him and be like, understanding. Pups said, niggas, send me an address. Let's start playing these internet games. Don't feel dread. You'll be fine.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Just love. Not ending. Not niggins send me an address, but ending with just love. All right, let's go back to the list. So, yeah, Kanye's canceled all of October. Yeah. And it's only gotten worse, unfortunately. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:03 What's the one on top? That's a Kanye thing? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, we can skip that one. What is this fat Joe? Fat Joe squashed his beef with Herrugati. You know, that's like...
Starting point is 01:17:15 Is Irv Gotti in jail? I don't believe so. No. Really? Yeah. Oh, dang, we didn't talk about that. Irvv Gotty going to jail? No, Earf. Irv Gotti's not in jail. They tried to indict Irv Gotti literally 20 years ago.
Starting point is 01:17:34 My bad. I thought Earl of him. He like the fans just now took down murder. You ain't like Stacy Das. Yeah, Irv Gott ain't just going to jail. That was one of the original hip hop rikos they were trying to get. The murder, no, so remember he had just did that, and that's a good drink champs interview while we was talking about good
Starting point is 01:17:51 drink champs episodes, Irv Gotti, you know, talking about his relationship with Ashanti. And when he found out that she was fucking Nelly. Nelly, yeah, which I think was kept. No, I believe it. That he found out on TV? I believe it. Why would you make that up?
Starting point is 01:18:05 That guy ain't you. Thanks. Thanks for confirming. Just that you all know. He's at home. Also in October rapper Sue surf was arrested on federal O'Rico church. Man, free my boy surf till it's backwards. Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:18:20 Free to wave. Free the mother. They hope you get through under the jail. And me and Gina was like, what the fuck? Yeah, that shit was lame. I talked to him about that. I wasn't feeling that at all. The battle rap community wasn't feeling that.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Nobody was feeling that, nigga. Certain groups of individuals weren't feeling that. Yeah, no. Yeah. No, me and Gina was up here flabbergasted, nigg. I couldn't. You know how you just. can't believe somebody
Starting point is 01:18:42 just saying, oh, you know, you caught off sometimes I'd be ready for what the dick about the table, he said that I'm like, especially when the nature of these allegations are all from a while ago and he's sent in. And when you haven't even been convicted. Yeah, yeah. Mr. Innocent until proven guilty in America.
Starting point is 01:18:57 Yeah. Uphold the justice system. Shit is crazy. Yeah. And to me, while we even talking about that, this is one of the best battle rappers of all time. Oh, yeah. And who makes fire music.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Yes. And I kind of wanted... And just drop the fire-ass album from behind bars. And I remember a suspect the other day we were talking about, you said like,
Starting point is 01:19:21 battle rappers, a lot of them don't make good music, but we have to keep something in mind. A lot of the best writers in the industry who ghost write, a lot of the biggest records in the game are battle rappers.
Starting point is 01:19:32 So it's important for people to keep that in mind. Now, are their own records as powerful, or do they have the images to match that success? Not necessarily, but there are the pens behind.
Starting point is 01:19:43 You'd be surprised at what songs Battlewrapp. I'm sure. I just don't know what it is about when they do it themselves. It just don't hit. Yeah. It just depends. It depends on who they are. Like I said, like Sue Serve, Cali Smooth,
Starting point is 01:19:56 like those are some niggas who could do it. Yeah, Callie Crazy. But a lot of them are trash. That's true. I think something else that happened while we talking about Suserve that was funny as hell to me this year was his face off of Cortef. Oh, and he came with some brats. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:20:12 I wasn't really super psyched about that, to be honest with you. The whole conversation and all that was just funny. They've been going back and forth for years. And it was just so much that I feel like led up to that. He had his back and forth with goods. He was supposed to battle Vixen. He battled J.C. Like, it was just like, I feel like he had a great year in terms of.
Starting point is 01:20:32 Ever since the... Superfunds about a rapper. Yeah, for sure. Ever since I want to say, like, slightly before his Gichi battle, He just went on a crazy-ass run. And Serf's always been one of those guys that if he actually focuses, he's damn near unbeatable. He's going to have at least one flawless round per battle. The way he mixes, like his flow, direct content, and just really being able to talk that pain,
Starting point is 01:20:59 just bring real street shit that's relatable content into battles and not have a sound out of place. Like, he's second to none. He controls that crowd like no other. I know he called himself the devil's grandson, but sometimes when he's talking, I feel like that's God. It's like, that's like his pen is on like God's level. Surf is incredible.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Yeah. He's got some great records. The shit that, uh, the joint he has with uh, Mazi and G. Herbo. Oh. Man. I've heard it.
Starting point is 01:21:29 Oh, man. He got a song for the ladies. He's got a lot of songs for the girls. He's got a lot of songs. He's a, he's an up-and-coming singer from L. and fucking fabulous. You know, I love me so fat.
Starting point is 01:21:42 Sue surfing fable and the same track is just like... Nah, surf is crazy. Fucking amazing. And beyond that, he, you know, he had launched his own platform with Midnight Madden. Yes, okay, yes. Midnight Madden's happened, and I remember that being, like,
Starting point is 01:21:55 one of the most talked about thing during, like, Twitter spaces. Yeah. Where motherfuckers was really mad over that belt. Yeah, well, I mean, there was a... He had a bunch of belts. There's all these different belts. One of them was the men's hardcore belt
Starting point is 01:22:07 that snake eyes won and then he wound up getting in an altercation with stumbles. Stumbles, you know, I guess there is a lot of fists being thrown and people getting stomped out and stumbles walked away with the belt. And then that led to him and surf getting into it.
Starting point is 01:22:27 Right. Because surf's like, hey, that's, you know, our belt. What's up? I remember when he had first started the Midnight Madison and he said he wants to take it back to the way that things used to be when like people was putting in and all the money is on the flow
Starting point is 01:22:38 when you take all type of stuff. So I'm mad I never got to go to one of the battles. I was in a lot of those spaces with him. I was, there was 10 managers. I was one of the Midnight Maness team managers. Oh, sure. So you got a lot of insight then.
Starting point is 01:22:52 Oh yeah, Death Coast 5150 was my squad and I'm in like all the group chats. It was the team managers where it was 40 bars, me, DNA, Easy the Black Captain, Hitman Holla, Calico, surf, bill collector, jackboy. And I might, forgive me, if there's somebody I'm forgetting.
Starting point is 01:23:15 You teaching me something. I didn't know that all those battles were involved. Yeah, yeah, we all had our own teams. That's hard. And we like selected rosters. And never, like the idea never fully, like reached maturity like it was supposed to. Although he's in jail, is there any thought to bring it back? He had already kind of moved on from it.
Starting point is 01:23:36 And there was already internal conflicts before he got locked up. Got you. Midnight Madness hasn't had an event since May, June. Mm-hmm. Well, freed away. Shout out to Sue Serf. We praying for you. And on October 24th, are we still in October or November?
Starting point is 01:23:55 We still in October. Kanye's label Good Music was dropped from Def Jam. Same shit. Kanye and his fucking, you know, redacted remarks. You know how that shit gets On October 26 Okay this is We just got through this list
Starting point is 01:24:12 It took us a long time to get here But we didn't got through it so quick That I feel like we just talked about this shit On the Monday show Tori Lanes was placed on house arrest After it's altercation with August out of senior Yeah we did just talk about all this shit now We did
Starting point is 01:24:25 Rest in Peace takeoff He was killed on November 1st at the age of 28 Because I think it was on Halloween He got shot right and then he wound up dying or it was like literally the hours after Halloween because it was early in the morning
Starting point is 01:24:43 you know how I found out I remember it was in the No Jumper group chat and Duno texted us at like 2.30 in the morning or three in the morning I found out in the group chat too in a friends group chat and that's another situation where it's like people just literally just dehumanize celebrities
Starting point is 01:25:02 man while you're recording somebody bleeding out on the ground while those pictures circulated and like... So lame. It's so fucked up. But rest and peace, takeoff. On November 5th, M&N was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Starting point is 01:25:18 I know Laura loved this. Yeah, I think she was there. Yes, she did. You know what the... My favorite part about that was when he, like, read out the list shouting out all the rappers that influenced him that... Because, you know, there's not that many rappers
Starting point is 01:25:31 in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Why is he that acknowledged? I mean, they're expanding. expanding to hip hop at this point. Yeah, because, like, what did he do? Yeah, they're, like, expanding to hip hop. What rock and roll did he do? None.
Starting point is 01:25:45 Absolutely none. So why? Because he's white. The fuck. When it's funny because black and, because. Y'all wasn't even trying to claim that, nigga, when he first came out. It's so funny. Now y'all claiming them.
Starting point is 01:25:55 We do it. Not they traded him. And not. Rock and roll is black music, too. People didn't even realize that. Definitely. We started that shit. Chuck Barry, come on.
Starting point is 01:26:02 We know the truth. We know the founders of that shit stole it from us. Period. The founders. Okay, so I don't know if it's clear to everybody in the chat that we are recording this on, what's today, the 22nd? December 22nd. So some more things might happen with the stuff that we about about the time this episode comes out. This is, like I said, a pre-recorded episode.
Starting point is 01:26:25 So we all know what's been going on this month. And that's the Tory Lane's against Meg the Stallion case. Trial began on December 12th. I believe we're supposed to get an update as of like 4.30 today. Right now is 4.50. I don't know if we know exactly what's going on yet. Y'all got nothing in New Yorkers back. Flacco jumped the gun earlier.
Starting point is 01:26:45 Yeah, no, I don't see anything. And then also, again, more might happen with this situation. But December 14th, Gunna was released from prison after being arrested in May 22. He was led home by a big piece of cheese that he followed, nibbled through a hole in the wall. Here you go. Hey, we can't call him a snitch till thugs head, man. I mean, we're moving the goalposts at this point. He did cooperate.
Starting point is 01:27:15 Yeah, you're right. You're right. You're right. If he's not snitching, he's telling. If he's not telling, if you're not telling. You know what he is? He helping them people. Period.
Starting point is 01:27:27 Point blank. I just want to believe that what he did is something that they planned. Go your pouch racks in a quarter ounce drip a drown I miss that gunner What the fuck Hey that gunner
Starting point is 01:27:41 Probably was gonna tell too Shit So you shouldn't miss that one either But now look I don't know bro Because everybody takes plea deals And that don't necessarily Me and you're snitching
Starting point is 01:27:51 But I mean There is stipulations in that shit Where you gotta testify We do this every day We talk about this shit every day at this point So it's like I'm tired of that shit I'm so tired of talking about them And what's so crazy
Starting point is 01:28:03 like with like Meg and Tori, I was heavenly like invested into finding out what happened. Like I'm checking Mo's Instagram every 10 minutes trying to see if it's a new update. Like, because I just love the way he breaks it down. And like at this point it's like, whether he's found guilty or not. Can we just find out already?
Starting point is 01:28:23 I just want to know the story. I want to know the real story. I don't even care. Yeah. Like who goes to what facts. It's just like we were saying earlier, it's fucked up. I hope he doesn't go to jail and it's fucked up that she got shot, but I just want to know what the fuck happened.
Starting point is 01:28:38 It's fucked up that she got shot. It's fucked up that a potentially innocent man was dragged to the extent that he was. And that's why it's like I really want people to ask themselves this question. Are they more interested in a verdict or the truth? Right. I feel like at this point, Kelsey Fineass is behind all this bullshit. Yeah, I'm more. Keep on.
Starting point is 01:28:56 No, that's it. Yeah, I'm more so like I just want to know the story. Like, I hope you don't get convicted. I don't like seeing niggas in jail. but like you feel me I just want to know what happened if I had to hazard a guess he's probably not going to get convicted to the larger charges but he might catch the possession charge or the discharge of a firearm.
Starting point is 01:29:13 Is he really fucked if he gets deported? I mean, he's going to miss a huge bag. He'll be right. A couple of blocks sites have jumped a gun on the Torrey Lang's verdict. We're part of that couple. Definitely.
Starting point is 01:29:29 It wasn't us though. Wait, did we post it or we just talked about it live? Oh, he posted it? Nah. No. Oh my. Flaco. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:29:37 Did he tag himself? Flaco posted it. I think Adam deleted it. Yeah, he did. Flaco for sure posted it, though. Please. He's posted it too. A lot of people posted it.
Starting point is 01:29:50 Yeah, we won't know until New Year's. Said he deleted that shit, though. Everybody did. All right, let's talk about the messiest moments that happened this year at No Jumper. Yeah, it was Big G. That's the other team manager. Okay, I just remember. All right.
Starting point is 01:30:05 No, I was just, I was bugging me. Big T was the other team manager for Midnight Madas. Oh, oh, you're talking. You're talking about Tuna? Yeah. Shout to my dog Tuna.
Starting point is 01:30:14 That type of shit fuck with me too. Yeah, yeah. Like, let's say you talk about something on the pod and then you leave and you'd be like, fuck, that's what it was. It happens literally every time. That shit happens to me all the fucking time. I'm glad I'm not alone. If I go home and watch the episode back and then I'll be like,
Starting point is 01:30:28 or I'll say some shit that I don't even believe sometimes. And I'll be like, Why did I even say that? It's because we have to talk so much. Now, why did I even say that? I don't even think that for real. You never be like, be like, wait, what? Like, do you watch yourself back?
Starting point is 01:30:45 Like, that's not even you type. I'd be saying shit as a joke that I know is a joke, but I don't think anybody else interpreted it's that way. I do that shit all the fucking time. Like, I'll say something and in my mind is funny. And then I watch it back like. Why the fuck did I even let that slip? that's not even
Starting point is 01:31:01 or do y'all get too comfortable right here and forget you on camera? Facts. You'd be like, wait, you should have said that. But that's the thing is the balance between wanting to be engrossed in a genuine conversation and minding your peas and cues because there's potentially
Starting point is 01:31:15 half a million people are going to see it. But that's like what we talked about earlier was just letting go. Like, just do you, just do what the fuck? Is this still up or are they calling us out right now? Oh my God. Jesus. What they say about this?
Starting point is 01:31:33 No jumpers own and managed by a rapist, by the way. Stop doing that. Stop playing with him. Get off, get off, get off his top, bro. Who the fuck is they talking about? Yeah, who the fuck are y'all talking about? Because I don't know no rapists over here. Some weird ass fool.
Starting point is 01:31:49 Don't do that. And this shit fucking irritates me. Adam didn't even post this. At all. Somebody who was their post. Like, what are y'all? Do y'all think that nick has, like, 32 arms? But of course they can't do everything.
Starting point is 01:32:01 He's the, you know, he's the man. It pissed me off how like, okay, whatever. Say what the fuck y'all want to say about Adam. But like, can we just stop disregarding the fact that he didn't employed all of these freaking people and he fucking treats us and pays us well? Yeah, what are we doing? They wonder why we're willing to jump out the window for him and shit. Yeah, it ain't for clout, nigga.
Starting point is 01:32:23 I have never heard. He ain't never said no rapy shit around me. He ain't never said no rapy shit to me. He ain't never said nothing racist. to me. He has never disrespecting me. I got my own homies. I got my own family. I
Starting point is 01:32:35 do this shit and I ride for y'all because of the opportunity that that pool provided. That's weird as fuck. What are we talking about. That's fucking weird. And it's even times where like rappers come in here and they'll be like, oh, I thought you was going to say da-da-da-da. Or I thought da-da-da-da. It's like
Starting point is 01:32:50 that nigga out of him to be his fucking angle. Yeah, what you thought it was and it was, home boy. You know, like and it's other people here. that too it's like niggas just be popping in I always say
Starting point is 01:33:04 when people will be talking crazy if they had a magical genie and could snap their fingers and switch lives with that man right now they'll do it and let's talk about getting it out the mud
Starting point is 01:33:13 and starting from the ground up like he still ain't even went corporate facts my black ass in here punching on niggas on camera and I'm still employed nigg can't tell me
Starting point is 01:33:22 nothing about Adam from that point on no cap I just beat it niggas on camera I'm still in poor. You thought it was a rap too. I thought it was done.
Starting point is 01:33:31 No, he was literally telling me like, yeah, Gene, it ain't looking too good. I thought it was out. I told you you'd be straight. I thought I was done and cooked, nigger, and they can't tell me nothing about Adam. It was out of the bio and everything. Yeah, I ain't going to lie.
Starting point is 01:33:44 You took it out of your bio? Hey, we ain't going to speak on it. I thought it was done. She was out the bio. Nigger, I thought I was cooked and booked, nigger, no cap. They can't tell me nothing about Adam. Fuck you.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Hell, that nigga got it out of the start a company. And he hired a niggas. By multiple buildings, giving all of us this freaking visibility. Like, let's keep it a buck. Am I the only white podcaster he's hired? No, Yuri's here. Yuri kind of is like grandfathered in, though,
Starting point is 01:34:16 because he was like doing behind the scenes. He's still paid, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to be the first one? No, I don't care. I'm just saying, we're not doing that. I think so. I don't think he white, though.
Starting point is 01:34:31 He's not white. Oh. You know, who? Who's sharp? He's mixed. I'm just a nigga. Both my parents black. Both my parents' niggas.
Starting point is 01:34:42 If you're coming on Christmas, you're going to see my whole family niggas. Yeah. No care. They're going to clip the fuck out of that. I don't give a fuck, bro. This is gang. This is gang, nigga. Yes, I'll be at Sussex House on Christmas.
Starting point is 01:34:55 Yeah. You come too, love. I've known. suspects. It's my life. Oh, they go love that one. Fucking on. This is like my
Starting point is 01:35:05 big sister. I'll make sure to I'll make sure to bring some mistletoe for you guys. Pause. That's pause like a motherfucker How's that pause? This is like the home.
Starting point is 01:35:13 It's not pause. Yes. There's no pause. Every time Gina get up and twerk, I want to say pause, bro. I think y'all all get irritated. No one's trying to see Gina twerk twerk over here.
Starting point is 01:35:24 I enjoy how equally irritated y'all are. No, look, look, I'm going to go on go on record and say there's no there's nothing going on with anyone in this office. Now look, I like my job too much because you never know how that could go
Starting point is 01:35:38 nigga and I like my job way too much. You know we all be getting it on our own. We don't need to like shit where we eat. Yeah, that's tacky. That's all I'm saying. That's tacky, bro. Because you never know how that I go. Niggas could be you feel me lovebirds
Starting point is 01:35:52 30 days, 90 days. We have a whole fight and then somebody got to go. We're not doing that. Somebody got to go. We're not doing that. I love my job. God up here. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:59 So it's not even worth it. We ain't on that time. Go back to big enough Adam. Facts. Stop playing with the boss. Niggas be playing with Adam. I don't fuck with it. No cab.
Starting point is 01:36:08 Adam looking out for all of them. People get on my helmet for saying I want to ride for him and shit. And fuck them, because I'm going to keep it a bug, bro. Nobody else is going to hire a nigga like me. Nobody else. Well, now they want. Let us do what we do.
Starting point is 01:36:21 Ain't nobody firing me to do something cool like this. Like, come on, bro. Nick can't tell me nothing about it. He's giving us so much visibility. And like, if I'm being honest. a lot of the opportunities that came out of my 2022 are just off the strength of me sitting on this show. Literally. And we get to do shit for the coast, nigga.
Starting point is 01:36:38 Me and Gina interview who the fuck we want to. Like, nigga, we damn their God, like not. It's not like we don't got rules around this motherfucker, but we got free reign to do as we do. We can set up whatever interview we want. Whatever the fuck you want to do. You can't tell me nothing about it. Nothing.
Starting point is 01:36:52 Shout out to Adam. No cap. Now let's talk about the messiest moments at no jumper of 2020. I don't think we have these in any particular order. We don't. But I want to say the top of the year was definitely... What was the YB&Mir thing? I think that was supposed to be deleted off the list.
Starting point is 01:37:14 It probably was. I don't think it was as public as we think it is. Yeah, I'll tell you later. I don't know if we're supposed to speak on that. I don't know. I don't think I was here for that yet. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:28 But. Was that when he made that terrible song? That song was very terrible. Soul train. Is that what it's called? Yeah, Soul Train. That shit's terrible. Was it like a district?
Starting point is 01:37:38 No. It was like he tried to pop, he tried to hop in his like pop back. He thought he was Drake or something. He tried to hop in his, in his Torrey Lane's back. And it was very terrible. I don't know. I just like, and it was like not just terrible to like everybody like there's YouTube videos on how terrible.
Starting point is 01:37:54 Yeah, it's like considered the worst song of last year. Like to the point where, like, how did his homies allow this to happen? How did the engineer allow it to happen? How did the... They probably thought that shit was going to blow. They probably was like, this going to put you in a hard... This going to put you in that post-limon bag, nigger. That's what niggins were telling him.
Starting point is 01:38:15 They were just going to put him in that post-malone bag. He had dope songs. I fuck with Op. Stopper and all that shit. He did have some good songs back in the day. He wrapped on a few of my beats. He did a couple of my freestyle challenges. too. Damn, I'll just channel some flaco for a second.
Starting point is 01:38:29 Well, speaking of flaco, because flaco was definitely, I feel like, one of the biggest highlights of 2002 in the No Jumper universe. Damn or anything he'd do. Yeah. That's why. He did was the number is fucking high. I was going to say, so as much as we could hate on him, it's
Starting point is 01:38:44 good that he's here for that specific reason. Yeah. There's going to, he's going to crash out. I think his addition to No Jumper kind of made people a little bit like uneasy? A little nervous. you know, because we did see 116 shot them
Starting point is 01:38:59 and Flacco had their That was the whole thing Their wet altercation False That was a whole thing Through spit back and forth Yeah, that was crazy I was sitting in the room
Starting point is 01:39:12 When it happened And he was there Yeah And I remember just being like Please Don't fucking touch you But in my mind I'm like
Starting point is 01:39:24 So like Yeah Flacco had was the person who was getting attacked, but in my mind, AD is the person who's at the highest risk right now because he is such a protector and he is such like the way that he fucking protects all of us, you know, like he want to jump to everybody to defense all the time. And in my mind, I'm like, if it's going to go down, it's going to be about him not, you know, flok off.
Starting point is 01:39:48 Gina was the, I don't know if it was this year or last year, but I remember when, I think it was AD and T. were interviewing that one dude who has like the L.A. hip hop blog or whatever. That was this year. Yeah. And I saw, you were about to put tips on old boy for show. You look like you was about to. Was that this year? That was this year, right?
Starting point is 01:40:10 I think it was. That was. I wasn't going to touch him. But we had. You sat down like this. You was on his head like that? We had a, we had a verbal. She was posted like a frog.
Starting point is 01:40:24 We had a verbal exchange on Twitter. earlier that week and he had disrespecting me. So then it kind of felt like before the cameras came on, I approached him in the same, you know, way that I approached him on camera. That one brought you from the side and said, yeah, come here, Regina. They set her up with a mic. I sit down right here.
Starting point is 01:40:45 I remember that. I remember that. And he wasn't feeling. He was like, this is unprofessional. I wasn't even working here yet. I had just walked up on them before the cameras came on. Yeah. So he was cool, you know?
Starting point is 01:40:57 So then when the cameras came on, he did all that. So I didn't know if he was, like, putting on the show or if he just really didn't fuck with me. And one of the things I was like so freaking weird with the whole situation was that he was somebody who I appreciated that he was putting on for the West Coast. And being, because we don't have a lot of publications, blogs, media personnel or anything on the West Coast talking about us. So I felt like more than anything, we need to come together. So when he had disrespect to me in spaces and then he had to. did we did on the show. I'm like, hold the fuck up. You know, like, wait a minute. We supposed to be like, like this.
Starting point is 01:41:31 I don't want to be a part of the media beefing, you know? Like, I want to be able to work with every fucking body. But he did have his reasons. He felt like I had disrespect to him first, which I can understand why. So, you know, but, you know, that was a highlight of a, of no jumper, the messy universe. But yeah, shout out to him. There's like, that was one of the two, like, Gina turn-up. this year. The other one was backstage at the show.
Starting point is 01:42:03 So you referring to at the live show with Eliza. Yeah. So Eliza and Selena, I want to say when, who was that, 2020, I think it was, when we had Matt lately, I was getting attacked by them for like weeks and weeks and weeks. And it was just like it wouldn't stop and it was very disrespectful. At some point I was... About what? What were they attacking you about? They were, so the fans told them that I said something I didn't say.
Starting point is 01:42:28 Okay. And it was actually the guys had said it right there, but being that I'm the girl on the show, you know, that they wanted to attack me. But they had told me like, bitch, we're going to have people waiting out there for you. Oh, you're not famous. We're going to handle you the streetway.
Starting point is 01:42:45 Like, this is how they talking to me via. That's interesting. You bitch is not even street bitches. You know, like, so I hadn't, I hadn't, I haven't seen them in person or whatever. So Eliza was arguing with Sharp And when they're going back and forth He had said something like You better calm down before I have
Starting point is 01:43:01 Because she was disrespecting Sharp So she was like He was like you better calm down Before I have somebody Some real bitches get on you So she was like I don't fight I'm from the suburb
Starting point is 01:43:11 So I was like Oh but you said you was gonna beat my ass I didn't say that You're a clout chaser You're lying So then when I realized That I was being recorded I had to like
Starting point is 01:43:21 Calm the fuck down But in that moment I'm looking for the DM I cannot fucking find it. I wanted to say them bitches was going through multiple because I kept getting, their pages was getting deactivated and I was getting hit by them from different pages.
Starting point is 01:43:32 I found the DM show, Adam, show, T.R. They showed her, and then she was like, okay, yeah, that is me, but it wasn't me in the DM. Right. Like, somebody took my phone and did. Right, shut up, bitch. All right.
Starting point is 01:43:45 Good excuse. Santa. Hey, Sharp. Just talk about you. Huh? How are you doing? Good, how you doing? Merry Christmas.
Starting point is 01:43:54 Christmas. We was literally just talking about the lives of situation at the live show. What about it? We talk about the messiest moments of no jumper. When the bitches was playing. We were just talking about Gina marking out.
Starting point is 01:44:15 I get some real bitches on you and then. Gina was like, hey, speaking of that, bitch. All right. All right. But yeah, that was pretty much what happened. And then, you know, I wasn't going to touch that girl. I didn't want to do that thing. But she called me a weirdo, like, 17 times.
Starting point is 01:44:35 I don't think she know that that's like L.A. language, that's a fade. She didn't know. So I had to tell her I'd say weirdo one more time. Sounds like she didn't know a lot. Yeah, she found out, though. You know, you got to fuck around enough and then you find out. She did it. I hate that that's noted as my gangster moments.
Starting point is 01:44:53 I mean, no, those are your turnt moments of the year, for show. Because I'm just, I don't, I don't do nothing. That's why I just be quiet to be. shut the fuck up because I don't want you motherfuckers to be remembering me for that. If I died tomorrow, I want y'all be like... They already want us to be the ghetto ass.
Starting point is 01:45:07 You feel me? They already want us to be that. They already want us to fire on random white kids when they call you out your name in the middle of a interview. It will not catch me in a physical altercation on camera. Yeah. I don't think anyone on this...
Starting point is 01:45:22 I can't speak on that. I don't think anyone in this show would ever be involved in a physical altercation on camera. We should have I wouldn't. How unprofessional. Right. Well, speaking of that, subscribe with viral.
Starting point is 01:45:36 He's still going viral. Every time I leave the house, bro. Somebody asked me about that shit. You are a meme. You are avatars. Yeah, that's shit crazy. I'm hell of people with profile pictures. I'm surprised.
Starting point is 01:45:48 No, I was just going to say, I'm surprised you're not, but you are because I've seen somebody make you an album cover. Yeah. Is it an album cover? Or a single cover. Yeah, I sure saw that. It's crazy. I mean, we kind of dissected that moment.
Starting point is 01:46:00 but you don't have some viral shit going on up here too. Yeah, I didn't have some moments. That was definitely one of them. I didn't want that shit. I didn't want to go viral for that. Yeah. But it's like fucking, like I said the first time, like I couldn't win for losing.
Starting point is 01:46:13 Like, if I wouldn't have said nothing, then as you let that little white boy call you a bitch. And then if I do something, oh, you're a bully because you punched on a little white boy who called you a bitch. Yeah, yeah. So it's like the only way I could have won is not doing the interview. It was too late for that.
Starting point is 01:46:26 How you did what you had to do? I did what I had to do. Okay. You also had a back. and forth with T-Rail that I think we all thought was going to be the end of the Monday show. Man. Before the Monday show was the end of the Monday show. Cooler heads prevails.
Starting point is 01:46:42 I didn't almost got fired a couple of times and I only been here like four months. But, hey, I think I'm such a smooth addition that it's like you got to really fuck up to get fire. Because, like, I think, yeah, like, yeah, you feel like. Well, you guys also, y'all, y'all do this. I deserve some credit for the way you guys handled the situation because as both of y'all being like from the hood, it definitely could have went in another direction. Because I ain't going to lie like
Starting point is 01:47:08 I wasn't like giving up. Like I really really needed that. Like I really needed that. But like you know, cooler heads prevailed like less said. So yeah, it was all good. The thing is suspect got brought on in this era of no jumper his first interview back
Starting point is 01:47:24 was about him putting tips on Lil Nate Doug. Facts. I didn't even realize that. That's how I got a job here. So we know what we were signing up for. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. You should know what they signed up for because I got a job here because I slapped a legend son.
Starting point is 01:47:39 The irony of that too is that T.Rill was the one who kept telling me like, you need to bring suspect on the show. You need to have suspect on the show, whatever. Like he was the one like, that nigga ought to talk. He's funny and shit. And then the way, just to see the way all of this is just took a super big fucking 360. Because we needed you as a third seat on a Monday show. The thing is, like, suspect is like for the intent. entirety of his career has started zero beefs.
Starting point is 01:48:05 Facts. He's been involved in a lot. He has not started a single beef. This is facts. This is facts. I'm just, I don't know, y'all know,
Starting point is 01:48:13 I'm real opinionated. And like, if it's smoke, I've never been one to cover my mouth, nigger. I'm hell in that shit. So it's like, I've,
Starting point is 01:48:20 like he just said, I've never started, not one beef I've been involved in. But it's like, once that motherfucker flamed up, I'm throwing gasoline on it. I'm learning in this age to pick your battles.
Starting point is 01:48:30 I'm like, bro, you got to chill, you're getting older. But like, nigga, he'll test to it. I was a fucking menace when I first started, you know what I'm saying, getting a little exposure. So I was like, I'm learning now as I get a little older, like, bro, you got to fucking relax and get your professional shit together. But you feel me? Back in the day, definitely.
Starting point is 01:48:46 I still never started no beef, but I was definitely throwing gasoline on the motherfuckers once a nigger throw that flame on it, for sure. But I'm learning. You didn't start it, but you were down to finish it. For sure, every time. But are we learning. I'm getting there. I'm trying to do professional.
Starting point is 01:48:59 This is like the beginning. of some whole new shit for me. So you feel like to see you just keep leaning into the direction you are. This is exactly what I'm feeling leaning. It's like rapping is taking the backseat for me. Like I'm fully podcast, YouTube focused. Like the rap is a full backseat.
Starting point is 01:49:14 Like, nigga, I'm doing interviews with Gina. We're doing a whole lot for the city. The rest of 2020, motherfucking three, y'all gonna see. 22, no, damn, I'm slow as fuck. 2023. I know what you made. Fuck. 2023, me and Gina going crazy for the city.
Starting point is 01:49:29 We bring in all the up and come. motherfuckers that's from here that deserve it you feel me so it's like i thought like nigger i'm gonna do a lot of motherfuckers do who deserve that shit so it's like yeah a whole lot of podcast us gherb coming coming around this motherfucker you feel me we're trying to you know we're trying to turn in a new leaf man i got a pretty bad rap for being a shit starter you guys when i don't even start the shit it's crazy they call me the shit start and i don't start the shit i just speak on the fucking obvious. You gotta stop beefing with niggas so we can't stop adding names to this
Starting point is 01:50:01 do not, cannot visit list. Man, shit's crazy. I'm learning, dog. I've already had to drop a couple of interviews. I'm learning, dog. But you my man, so I'm not gonna like I'm learning, man. I only been a podcast for five months. Give me some time. You feel me? We're going to get it right. You're being my
Starting point is 01:50:17 man's, I'm actually giving you that. Look, I'm going to try to dead a lot of the beasts that like, if we ain't shot at you, we could dead it. Mm-hmm. You feel me? If I ain't popped at you in your man's or one of my man's ain't popped at your men's ain't nobody die or nothing we could dead it no cap especially with
Starting point is 01:50:33 this new opportunity I don't got time for that shit bro I'm 25 I like my job nigga we too old for that shit you're here first while we're talking about beef on a Monday show while we're on the Monday show let's talk about how the Monday show was almost canceled speak on it nigga tried to play with my bag
Starting point is 01:50:50 we kind of already told the story of what happened but I think we both can agree that we thought like oh yeah it's the rap for the show. We do. We lucky did. We thought it was like a motherfuckin' rap.
Starting point is 01:51:02 We was hot. Like, nigga, don't do that. If you want to get off the show, then nigga remove yourself. But don't try to sabotage what we got going on. Nick called my phone and said, don't let them push Gina on you. And then Nick called Gina phone and say,
Starting point is 01:51:14 man, you got new shows. And he didn't tell me Gina had a new show. He just said, don't let them push her on you. So, like, he was trying to get her left high and dry and get me left high and dry. He was trying to, like, have them to sabotage each other. And then I'm going to just shine. in the back by myself type of shit. It didn't work.
Starting point is 01:51:30 I know we was going to stick together. And then motherfucking lush one. Come on. Came and saved the Monday show. Come on. Look, I'm just used to be a part of it. We all friends outside of this. We work well together.
Starting point is 01:51:42 We got the vibe. Yeah. You feel I mean? Yeah. Fuck niggas. Easy motherfucking call. Shout out to Diya Mondays though. Yeah, shout out to.
Starting point is 01:51:51 I don't even know that. Bob Lamb. I mean, he wasn't there last time. And Rob City. Yeah, shout to Rob City. Shout out to Rob. Rob, um, laced me with a motherfucking fit. Yeah, I had a, he gave me a dope fit too.
Starting point is 01:52:07 Oh, their merch is like literally like on some, um, like independent type merch. They beat a niggas. Yeah, it's a, and they have the whole, uh, Naruto aesthetic and shit. Like, it's just hard. Shout out to RTTV. They gave me a, um, a silk shirt. Oh. sexy as fuck.
Starting point is 01:52:28 Damn, where's my silk shirt? Come on, Rob. You can't wear that. Y'all can't wear that shirt. That sounds fly. I ain't going to hold you. Shout on to my dick of Rob. I ain't going to hold you.
Starting point is 01:52:40 But Lesh, I think you're also a highlight of the Jumper universe, Lesgir. Because you just came in, because you already had the Godtier show with disaster. And then at some point it's like, you started just being sprinkled into,
Starting point is 01:52:54 you know, different shows. And it's like, now you're just a fucking And rock star. I appreciate it. No, it's dope to be a part of it. It's like every day, it's kind of surreal. Because I've been a fan of No Jumper for hell long. So just to be able to be a part of it and, you know, work with my friends and just continue
Starting point is 01:53:11 to push the line. It's fun as hell. I'm glad you. I feel like, I'm glad you. I feel like, I told Adam, you feel like, nigga, I used to beef with you, but it was very one-sided because you didn't give a fuck. It was just me like, fuck you bitch ass, nigga post my songs. You're just on Zans on Melrose, like, you feel, you feel,
Starting point is 01:53:26 Literally, niggas just, nigga, off bars, off juice on mailroads, harassing people, talking, turn to everybody, fuck them, just doing wild shit. But yeah, I used to tell him, like, nigga, I should tag your Instagram and said, fuck you, and now you, like, pay me and shit. There is a couple times, too, like, because people were always saying back in the day, like, Lush need to be on, no jumper. And I was like, yeah, give me on here. Nigger, tell everybody tag Adam in my comments, nigga, get me on here.
Starting point is 01:53:51 And then when he pays you, no mind, you get upset. Yeah, type shit. Type shit. Or I was like, I was like, oh, I know you're not going to try to fuck. but me he don't want another white dude over there that knows about hip-hop shining which I don't think he did he didn't give a fuck about what I had going on either
Starting point is 01:54:06 it's very one-sided yeah I also went out of him on Twitter before for real yeah you want to know what's so funny now that I think about it I had tweeted about the episode when they had what's her name it was one of Chief Keith Baby Mama's on there
Starting point is 01:54:22 oh yeah yeah yeah and it was a picture of them and I had tweeted Adam gave these bitches the bitches to show like I don't exist I tweeted something like that
Starting point is 01:54:30 I remember I remember that too and the tweet like he fuck so when I had tweeted it like in my mind like oh this probably gonna be bad he probably still ain't
Starting point is 01:54:38 gonna fuck with me but I'm still about to get my shit off yeah and the nigger retweeted it he fucking retweeted it and then it like got a grip of retweets or whatever
Starting point is 01:54:47 and the AD I told me like I don't see that tweet he fuck with you he fucked with you he fucking that whatever and then fast forward that's fire we are.
Starting point is 01:54:56 Sometimes you got to go at niggas, right? I won't say this. All of our 2023 going to be a lot more lit than that. Hell, yeah. I think we had to, we were finding our way, you know what I'm saying, going through our trials and tribulations. Literally.
Starting point is 01:55:09 Now that we kind of, I don't want to say that we can put it in cruise control, but we could like dig our cleats into the damn turf a little bit deeper and just go the fucking. We feel to go crazy. All 223, Nick, Monday show, show, going crazy, getting bigger. Me and Gina with crazy-ass interviews,
Starting point is 01:55:24 all at 223. I'm on the no jumper show too. Facts. Also doing hell of interviews, shit. And now we got this new news streams, so we're able to work with different hosts. We don't got to just be stuck on the host that we work with. We damn it on camera every day. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 01:55:38 I just like, I like to be misogynistic to Gina. So you feel like that. Hey, I fuck with it. We on camera almost every motherfucking day. Them checks is looking real lovely around this motherfucker. 203 is going to be fired. 2022 is the pregame. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:51 For sure. Niggger, the real game starts now. I think another. big moment, messy no jumper moment, was that fucking at the end of the day versus disconnected
Starting point is 01:56:02 roast battle. They did way too much, man. Yeah, that was a wild, that was a wild, wow episode. And one of the biggest things is when motherfucking T.Rill
Starting point is 01:56:11 went Ablazzi. Well, Josh, Josh allowed him to have like, yeah, it was like Jay Z at the fucking summer gym,
Starting point is 01:56:21 like. T.R. Preparation for that roast? dog like he had it boom boom boom like he was ready he's hilarious but the thing is with t-rell and i've learned this you can't take him seriously and if you do you fin to lose every yeah he can't win there's no way to win if you take him seriously he um he doesn't mean nothing but love no no like if you take it seriously like that's when you're not but the thing is this also i feel like when you're roasting
Starting point is 01:56:51 the way I'm like I've always and I've been roasting my whole entire fucking life. There's no rules but except for don't catch feelings that's the only rule. Yeah. The only rule is don't catch feelings but it shouldn't be personal. Like I shouldn't be like oh that's why you
Starting point is 01:57:06 that's why your granny got cancer. You know what I mean? That's why the car got repo. Yeah, yeah. It's not supposed to be. It's my car really repo. You know like damn. It's supposed to be like oh you look like whoompty womp blah blah blah blah. That's why you do that. You even say like
Starting point is 01:57:20 He didn't even say like, oh, that, that's why your mama got her number five on the barber shop. You feel of me? Like, there's- Once niggas get personal, I ain't going to lie. That's why I don't want to take part of no rose food because the nigg get too personal, bro. Like, I don't know if I don't know if I'm ready for all that. No, if your mama has whatever, whatever number on the barbershop chart, that's fine. That's what you got to send a nigga a list of untouchables. Like, nigga, don't say this.
Starting point is 01:57:46 Don't say that. Because it's like, this is not just us joking with each other. Like, nigga, this 4 million, like, subscribers and some shit like that. On that day, they freaking, so it was, people had made memes of me looking like the, one of the Fat Albert, one of the Fout Albert characters because he had the long, orange hat. Oh, Mush-mouth. So they told me to come in, yeah, they told me to come and sit down.
Starting point is 01:58:09 And like you said, like, I don't participate in roses because I can't get, well, for number one, I'm not no back and forth, you know, shodder. I might have one joke, you know. But them motherfuckers that told me to come sit down. I'm sitting there like, bro, who the fuck about to start with me? Like, who the fuck about to get on me? And in that moment that I'm sitting there nervous as fuck, punning Josh start going back and forth. And it was just like, oh, is that that same day?
Starting point is 01:58:34 It's time from me to get the fuck up. Yeah, that's, yeah. Shout to Josh for fucking nutting up on fucking pun, bro. No cap. Let's be honest. He was not afraid. That was crazy. He was crazy.
Starting point is 01:58:44 He was talking about let's go outside and handle it like a man to Josh. It's crazy, bro. That's crazy. crazy as fucking. Josh is lit. Facts. Josh's lit. I think that like, though, that was the end of like,
Starting point is 01:58:55 what should have been the end of office meetings on the pod. Man. It's like, why? Because, nah, we didn't have a few of them, bitches up here. What about Adam, like, literally telling us, okay, we're going to keep in-house drama off the fucking potter than the same day.
Starting point is 01:59:11 That's all we've been doing since then. Literally, it's never going to end. Yeah. People like it. We're the only podcast that do it. It's like reality TV. Yeah, exactly. We are our own reality show.
Starting point is 01:59:21 Facts. But you know, like while we was thinking to giving all that things to Adam, Josh plays a major role in all of our success here. 1,000%. Josh, Laura. None of this shit, yep. None of this shit will not run without them.
Starting point is 01:59:34 Facts. And then it's people outside of the No Jumper Universe who make a big impact. Like we was talking about pun. Shout out to pun. Even freaking smack, who now he's on at the end of the day. Smack going crazy. Facts. Like literally, though, like all the people on the eyes,
Starting point is 01:59:49 office that don't get like the vast eyes the Riley's yeah you feel me uh Mikey Bossa you know what I'm saying belt Kelvin yep Trevor Trev like Jason Phil that's like the people that Sydney yeah like the motherfuckers who get shit done um also what happened this year which I thought was a standout moment for no jumper um when we talk about messy shit was soldier boy calling out flok on Adam tell me on I'm gonna blow that bitch up if niggas mention my name one more time. And then I ask for an interview. We still here.
Starting point is 02:00:23 Bro, you got to, I feel like Soulja Boy is we having cocaine moments. Right. You just got to really ignore him and just wait for him to get sober the next morning and see if he say sorry.
Starting point is 02:00:32 But can't y'all admit, though, like Soldier Boy is one of the most entertaining people on the internet. Oh, he's a Lemos, probably. Absolutely. So I've seen him. Shot his ass. Five, five.
Starting point is 02:00:43 So he's hilarious. Somebody trying to save Big Soljane from the hood. Bro, he's hilarious. Bro. Like, his self-awareness is literally like negative 10 that everything he does is absolutely hilarious because why would you think it's cool one to bang a fucking Piru Hood
Starting point is 02:00:58 and you've been famous since you were 13. Pull up to the alley, say, soo, so-woo, so-woo. I've never seen the niggas say that in my life. Pull your phone down and be like, yeah, niggas ain't never seen, Nick's said they ain't seen big soldier in the hood. Get pushed and still bang that shit after.
Starting point is 02:01:15 Like that nigga, hey, you legendary. That niggins are fucking, I come, bro. If you never, ever cranked nothing. You are a legend just for being that absolutely unself-aware. Like, you're comedy, my nigga. Absolutely comedy. But what I like about Soldier Boy is how he's like, he has his ability like, yes, he's a fucking troll, right?
Starting point is 02:01:33 But when he sit down and start talking his shit, you'd be like, damn, he did do that. He's serious. Yeah, he did do that. He's valid with a lot of the bullshit. He was first for a lot of shit because he's been around. That was the first album that I told my mama to go by was Soldier Boy. Tell him. That's the first album that I owned personally, like, I got to pick. Like, yeah, I had 50 Cent the Massacre.
Starting point is 02:01:54 Right, right, right. Right. Project Blow shit. But, like, Soldier Boy was the first one where my mama said, what you want to buy in Walmart. And I walked up to the Soldier Boy. I was like, that one. That's the one I want.
Starting point is 02:02:04 Like, no, that nigger is legendary. I'm riding to school talking about watch me hit my birdwalk, nigga, super soaked that whole, like all that shit. That shit was a part of my whole life. That song is, bro. To this day, clacking me. He has some shit. Me and my cousins used to practice the steps in the living room and just reverse that shit.
Starting point is 02:02:22 Reverse that shit. Let's do it right now. We're not doing that, Gina. We're not doing that. That's a viral clip. Relax. Come on. No, relax.
Starting point is 02:02:29 For me? We're not doing that. Please. I'm jocking on your bitch. We are not. We are not super soaking that hole up here. No. We are not doing that day.
Starting point is 02:02:37 We got to have a little fun sometime. Relax. I remember the first interview. I know the, I know every step of the dance, but we're not doing it. Let's just do it. I remember when that full first was saying he was like from Fruittown and he was doing all these interviews. And I read like someone asked him a question. He's like, yeah, I'm a gang member.
Starting point is 02:02:59 I'm in a gang. I'm in a gang. He literally said that. Bro, like, aren't you from like, isn't he from like Mississippi or some shit like that? Then he moved to Atlanta. Like, bro, you've been famous as you're like 14. There's no way in hell. You're from Compton.
Starting point is 02:03:16 It's amazing. Bompton. That not Alana track was a standout record this year. You know what we didn't have? And maybe I just might be sleep. Correct me, if I wrong, please. But did we get any disc direct this year? The game in M&M.
Starting point is 02:03:30 Absolutely. Oh, okay. Which was... That was really good. I'm not going to lie. It was fire. I think it was very good for the presentation. Of how he got the stand shit.
Starting point is 02:03:42 The way he did. How he copied it. I think the presentation was fired. Rapping-wise, he definitely... did the damn thing. I feel like that should needed more attention and like it doesn't feel like people. It sounded more like a love letter
Starting point is 02:03:52 than a distract to me. It was like a, it was oddly enough, very Stanish, ironically. I think that was the point. That was the point of it far. I think he was just trying to tell him to come outside. And is that the same track?
Starting point is 02:04:06 Oh no, I'm thinking of that. That wasn't enough to get M to respond though and M is quick to respond. He went at Dre too, right? Yeah. But it wasn't that song. It was another song. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:14 He has this like, like, it's always back and forth with him and Dre. It's like trying to get attention from your father is how I interpret it. Facts. But there's a lot, I mean, speaking of disc tracks, the whole entire genre of Bronx drill music and Brooklyn drill music is all disc tracks. Like all the disc tracks are just drill gang beef for the most part. I'd like to see there be more like hip-hop actual MCB.
Starting point is 02:04:41 I'm one of the only new generation age rappers like me and Dreco that got some diss. That's from here. I disliked Snow like twice. You hear me get your man's iconic disses. Niggie Draco got the Ingle Weird. Like I felt like that's a lost art because niggas just want to shoot each other. That is a lost art that niggas that niggas a dissing.
Starting point is 02:04:58 And I did it real creative. I acted like snow. I had like a little chain. I'm sleeping in my car. I'm doing shit he doing. You feel like me? Like I really had that shit. You feel me?
Starting point is 02:05:07 Like I took some no Vaseline type shit and I'm like, yeah, I'm going to really do it up. That's how you diss it, nigga. You know? I think that's why I think that's why. I enjoy just looking at battle rap so much, because even though these people do be, like, cool with each other behind the scenes,
Starting point is 02:05:21 it's like, dang, they going at each other, and we don't got that shit in hip-hop like that, I don't know. And that needs to be the regular. Yeah, we need to bring it back. There's entire, like, there's several compilations on an annual basis of all the disc tracks going on. It used to be so much, and you're not seeing it. A lot of it, like I said, is because back in the day,
Starting point is 02:05:39 a lot of, most of the rappers from New York were aspiring to be, like, on some MC shit. Now it's just trill shit. Yeah, yeah. talking about their ops. It has a lot more gravity. There's one that I'm not going to touch on. I think that was damn there, all of them. Yeah, this is like the most important.
Starting point is 02:05:56 Riley looking at it. I think we're good. With that being said, I appreciate y'all for making me a part of the show and, you know, the staff as well. I appreciate all of y'all for rocking with us. We appreciate the comments, good, bad, and ugly. Yeah, I appreciate Gene.
Starting point is 02:06:16 making me her third co-seat, no cap, because it wasn't nobody else going to do it. Not at all. Nobody was going to have me sit across America. And it's funny because me and you were talking about doing the show. We were. Yeah. Oh, God.
Starting point is 02:06:29 Facts. It just, it all worked out. Full circle, nigga. Full circle. You feel me we had to fire a year. The way that this shit just came together, because it's like, it was all like literally like no strategic thought process behind it.
Starting point is 02:06:40 It was like. Accidental. Yeah. Even from the start, which is me and Flacco, we thought we was getting an Instagram show. And then it's like, no, y'all got a show at 6 o'clock every Monday. Oh, shit, what's the concept? What's this?
Starting point is 02:06:51 Technically, the show's still not titled. Facts. Yeah. We technically don't have a title for it. And we need a logo. We do need a logo. We need to come up with a name. At some point, we need to come up with a name.
Starting point is 02:07:03 And then we was like, we tried out at least like seven different people. And then it was like, you was the one who we were like, no, he's closer to us in age. He's familiar with the stuff going on. He's going to talk his shit. And he's going to check the nigger for saying stupid shit. I can't check him. And then the nigga fake canceled the show, and then we get lush. It's called Gurb Lush Vues.
Starting point is 02:07:22 Gurb Lush Vues. It got to be something with views. Yeah, that would be fired out. I like views. View something? Yeah. Now if the views drop. Now I.
Starting point is 02:07:35 Should we call it happy lately? Content lately. You're fucking gorgeous. Not happy lately. Like, you be on this bar shit. He got the craziest fucking like intros, altos on stuff. Facts. Like, you got to come up with something for a title of the show.
Starting point is 02:07:58 We'll figure it out. We need you. We'll figure it out. With that being said, I have immense gratitude for all of y'all in the No Jumper World. Yeah, fire episode, y'all. Just getting started. Well, we'll see y'all next year.
Starting point is 02:08:09 Yep, by the time y'all see it, about the time you'll see us again. Yeah. We're already on to the next. We'll be the first show coming back on top of the number. We hear about this, bia-ch. Biaz, who? Fung.
