We're good, too. I ain't got my vaccine test today, but we're good. Definitely, them shows. We got one. The tickets that just won up today for November 14th at the 5th. Oh, yeah, the Rootry versus Chike show. 1,200 people. It's going to be live, and that motherfucker. Yeah, special guess. So is it like a versus, or it's just you guys rap being like the old thing? We flew back to Atlanta to get that done. We already went out there to shoot it and something happened with Boosie. So we would just have to like make a do other videos and stuff like that. Then we went back out there and then they said something else happened. Then he finally came. That's why we was kind of like, I wasn't as happy as I, you know what I wanted to be?

But like I said, his energy like made us like. Did that situation at Tuskegee like make you kind of like a little nervous? Like I don't know if I'm going. I think like nowadays I'd be super confident now. So back then, no, I was sure. Well, tell what happened just for the people who wasn't around him. I was in Tuskegee opening up for Busy. and I was supposed to go on stage right before Busy

and Bussey came out like, now I want to go on stage early, you feel me? And so he walked out, we in the backstage and I'll tell him like, hey, bro, they're not going to let us go on stage, you feel me, because you want to go early. He just looked at me and walked on stage. So I didn't get the performance, so it's like I really took a trip to Alabama and all that for nothing,

like type of shit. And then, yeah, man, he performed two songs. He performed that song he had, They say that, I'm crazy, that one. That's when he first got out and then performed, set it off, and the fight broke out. He said, I got my money, dropped the mic left. The whole thing was over.

I never got to perform. And Bootsie, my favorite rapper. Man, Boosie broke his heart right before he could perform me. He's like, no, you're not going on. Yeah, that's what I'm saying? Then when we did this, I thought he broke my heart again, you know what I'm saying? No, he came through, you know what I'm saying? That's fire.

That's crazy as fuck. And then this tape is, it's, it's. Independent or you guys are doing it through the label? Empire. Empire? Yeah. My label came to some shit. Now, do y'all fear cancel culture? Because that album cover is a little...

I was one of the most creative artwork I've seen in a while for a cover. I was like. People don't do creative artwork. That's all this idea, though. That's awesome to say who came in with the concert.

Did the album come from, like, the success of Light It Up? Is that why y'all doing a joint album? Because it's lighted up was a very sixth. I look at it as a West Coast anthem. No, I wouldn't say that. I'd say function in the hood is what like, you know what I'm saying? Okay, then Functioning the Hood happened.

And then Rucci is on mm-hmm, too. And then after that, it was just like, all right. Yeah, because I feel like lighted up was just like me and him, like no one, like figuring it out that we was good together. And then when we did Functioning the Hood, we was always. That, like, certified it right there. That was like, okay. Then he came, you know, he got, he in the hood with all the homies and shit.

So it was like, we, you know, we like this now, you feel me. And then after that, it was just all them tours we did together. We never did no shows, no sessions, no nothing without each other. You feel me, we learned to literally live around each other, all type of shit. So last summer during the pandemic, we was just doing so much, like, partying and shit. I'm like, man, we're going to do an album, bro. Like, it was too much content. They ain't even been seen.

It was just too much content, you know? I feel like Light It Up is one of them songs that's gonna be forever like just played at functions family shit like just forever like in in decades from now that the song so damn fire years ago I still perform it last yeah that I'm gonna fucking go crazy it make the crowd do so like I don't I can't even explain the feeling but it's just like it's crazy when you hear that and then chike come in you know I'm feeling like it's just it's all damn fire that's what I'm hosting is one of the songs that I be doing yeah when I be hosting this year because it's like a, it's kind of like a,

like, first day out of you. It's like, it's like a crowd-eyed girl. And then people know it and you're actually rapping. It's not like, it's like, I got hold. It's not like that. It's not like just somebody repeating once, the one word. It's like actual rapping.

That shit should be at stadiums. It should be when the boxers is walking now, like all of that. Like that lighted up. It's like, that shit is fire. What about when you're out at the forum? That shit, you think that was like a big staple in your relationship as well?
