What do you think of L.A. versus Atlanta and food? They got disgusting food. Disgusting fruit? Food. Food? Just in general? Yeah, it's nasty. What did you eat that was That turned you off to it?

Everything. I tried. Everything? Yeah. Well, when I got flew out the first time, They took me to like this fancy restaurant with all these fancy food that was highest food.

And it was like nasty. And then we went out to eat again the next day and then it was nasty. And then it's like every time I come, I've been here like four days and I haven't to eat salt waiting when we can't stop. Really? Yeah.

What do you eat when you're at home? There's so much. Grablet, seafood, habatchi, abatto, soul food. We got a dog. Okay. So you're pretty open-minded food-wise? I'm kind of picky.

I feel like that's like, Like with rappers, they either like blow up and then they start eating all this fancy food, eating whatever, eating the nice shit. And then some rappers just stay in their ways. And they're like, nah, me McDonald's. Don't be having like taste for real. Really, yeah. It'd be like $100 and it'd be like nasty.

Like, I don't get it. Oh, I wish I could show you some of the like fine dining that I did on my honeymoon in France. That, you know, bad. Like you would not have enjoyed it at all. Like it's like the most expensive shit ever, the fanciest shit ever, but it's just terrible. Yeah, because it's all for the look. They wouldn't need to look like that. It's for, like, food experts that know so much about food that they, like, somehow

have lost the plot and just think that, like, there's a lot of foam going on. You get, like, food with, like, foam on it. For real? I'm like, what is foam? I'm, like, looking at up on my phone. I ain't never had it. No, yeah, you don't want that. Yeah, I ain't never had it.

Definitely. But, okay, like, vibe-wise, L.A.? Just cool to you? Cool vibe. I just hate the auto club. Well, now I ain't go to the house. I got strip clubs, but it's like, I don't know. It's like a different vibe from Atlanta for sure, like club-wise as well.

But they be lit. Like, I hear I could tell like they be dancing for real life. They be hunting on these. They be hunting this stuff. Out here? Yeah, I've seen like three people hunting the club. All that loud dancing. Interesting.

Dry hunting. All type of stuff. LA has a real reputation for the club scene being dead at this point. But I don't know. Maybe that changes during VD.T. weekend. Yeah, it was a little lit. I had like a little show like 45 minutes out from. the hills of Highwood, and they was, like, lit.

Like, they was really lit. Like, they was loud as, they was rapping all the music. Okay, nice. I feel like even if it's a week all year long, that by the time, B.T. weekend comes along, and you got a million out of towners, then that's probably when it's going to be good, right? Yeah, for sure.

Yeah. Does it feel, like, dangerous, like, a little two gangster out here, or you're not really seeing all that? No. I live in Atlanta. Okay. So it's like, I don't know. But L.A. wants to be, like, the most gangster city in America.

That's what they blame everything on. It's like, oh, we do street. We got too much gang shit, too much beef. That's why people don't want to come here. What'd be going on in L.A.? Uh, you know, like, while all the BAT weekend stuff was going on this weekend, we also are, like, seeing all the L.A., like, hood pages, posting, like, clips, like, people from different gangs beating the shit out of each other and all this stuff.

I ain't seen that ain't coming out in nowhere. See, we're all in different algorithms. Yeah. But if that was happening in Atlanta, for sure, it's on your algorithm. Yeah, for it. But it's going to take a week for it to hit mine. Yeah. Unless it's some good shit.

It's always some good shit going on a little. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know, uh. You know, been to Lama? No, I have. Oh, you don't like it? No, I love it.

Yeah, it's great. Okay. But it's, I will say it's like a friendlier vibe. But it has like that down south, the hospitality, energy. I'm not saying friendly like some pussy shit. You know, I know. I feel like Atlanta is so fun. And I feel like we live. I feel like you have like people, but them like people like the people that's just out. Like, you can, like, like, Say for instance, you got somebody at the airport and you want to, hey, can you do this? Can you do that? Like, you would have the whole ATA airport, we're in the greet somebody, like, tight shit. Really?

Like, they just, I love my city. LA is like, oh, there's so much traffic, I can't do anything. I'm so busy. I have to have a million different jobs and hustles in order to afford living out here. Everybody's, like, stressed out about the cost of living. I feel like it kind of dictates people's behavior a little bit. It is a whole lot of traffic. Yeah.

Well, you know what's fucked up is that the keystone meal at Rosco's was always the chicken waffles, but then Obama came here and they named it after him because he ate it, but then a

couple years ago, they unnamed it, which I really don't know why exactly. They said somebody else Own it now or running or something Yeah, that would make sense I mean, babe, if you own a food place At some point It got to get passed down, right? Unless it just stays in the family

everybody. I mean, I feel like as a president and running out of a country is like, so don't have to happen like regardless like what's going on. I feel like a person may make hard-ass decisions. Yes. How do you want to like they make no decisions? And hard-ass decisions about things that you are not an expert in realistically. Right. Because what the do you know about the military just because you became president? And then the whole world, like you got a whole like all these people right here that you got to make sure that's, scrape or make sure that don't this don't happen, this don't happen

and it's like, damn, like, and then when the call come, it's like, you still got to go out there, you got to kill out of them people. Do you think if you were president that we could trust you to make rational decisions about, we could have Do you think that your period would affect that? No.

Why do people think, see, that's the problem right there. I just honestly wanted to know your opinion. No, that's the problem. Right. Because, oh. People think, um, I think, um, I think, I think people think that women can't do a lot of things off the emotion, but it's like,

we're the most hardcore people in the world. Like, we do a lot of shit that men can't even wear on their sleeves. So honestly, I feel like we probably do need a woman person. Because I feel like even then, I feel like women think about the highway around. And I think we wear the pros and the cons and we don't make it off emotions. I think men is very emotionally and make them off emotions. Well, when you consider that, like, 98% of people that are in prison are men. that makes me think

well maybe women are more emotional than men in some way but apparently the men are the ones who are making the emotional decisions that are getting them sent to level four maximum security prisons yeah but it's like I don't know but do you believe in it I okay so I watched this like debate the other day

where it was basically this one Democrat little white boy super smart and he's debating all Trump supporting women and one of the things that they were debating was basically like, are men better leaders than women? And at first, I wasn't really like sold either way,

but after watching like five minutes of this, I was like, I don't really believe that that's true. I think a woman could be just as good leader. But I do think women are great leaders. I feel like y'all come from us, first of all. We're just going to start there. Well, you couldn't make me without me helping one of my kind. You was in me.

I care with you and I push you out. Right. Right. But you couldn't have done that without a man. Exactly. But the gag is just like, I feel like even with like with a son, I mean, not the son, like a daughter and a son, it's like you need that. Like, I feel like we are the roots in the end of the day.

Like, yeah, you help me, but it's all the root. And down to men, like men need their mama men do a lot of things based on moms, relationship, this and that, like, it all start from the female. It all start from the woman. Like, what, we run the river? Yeah. Are you one of those people that throws it in a guy's face if they were raised by their mom? Because I see a lot of that these days.

No, I feel like it depends on how they was raised and who and what the situation is. So I don't really like to say that because it can be somebody that got a good relationship. Or it could be a mama that did everything and hustling still, you know, came out a whole other way that she raised them up to be. So you can't really dictate that. I feel like I constantly interviewed dudes who are raised by their moms that just became monsters. Yeah, they didn't have their dad. But then also I interview people all the time who got like a dad that tried to keep them out the streets didn't work. They ended up in prison.

They ended up doing all the crazy shit regardless. Like I don't, I don't. I feel like to a certain extent, a lot of like kids just come out the way they're going to come out. And it don't really matter that much your parents' influence. Like obviously your parents' influence matters. But I mean, I feel like it's not 100% of the equation. I feel like it's like a percentage percentage. Like, um, it's here and there.

I feel like sometimes I do feel like things happen, like it start from home and it be those type of issues that lead them to do certain type of shit like growing up or do things. But it is like it's got people that you got parents that did everything they could and did that and you still came another way. So I feel like it's like a 50-50 thing. Yeah, it could definitely go both ways. Okay, so take me into the world of a young YK niece. Like tell me about your upbringing, what kind of family you were brought up in.

I went to church every Sunday. I had, I do, me and my family do family dinner on Sundays. My grandma liked to get out her grandkids and her kids over to have, you know, family time eat. So family matter a lot in your world. We all we got actually. So we're very big on that, like Christmas, like everything, regardless of family. Like, we're very big on it. I think that right there is the number one thing that will like make a kid not throw their life away.

It was like having that real strong family unit. Yeah. And then I was lit, though. I was outside, having fun, enjoying myself. You had mom and dad? No, I had mom. My mom was my mom and my dad. Okay.

Where was dad at? You never met him? Down the street. He just wasn't really involved? He was involved when he wanted to be or when he could be. I really don't know. But, yeah, I always had my mom, though, for sure. Did you resent him for that or did you respect?

For a little while, and then I grew up. And then I just had to realize, like, you know, people go through other shit. And I was just trying to look at it from his shoes. Like, I don't know. And I was just like, everybody made mistakes. No one perfect. You know what I'm saying? So whatever led him to that point or whatever happened to him to be absent, you know, I just pray for him, actually.

Is it one of those things where he came back around more once you became successful? You don't want to have to deal with him hitting your phone after this come out? Yeah. Yeah, I can imagine, yeah. But I feel like it's like that with a lot. Like, when they did come, it was just, there was a lot of people coming back around. A lot of people trying to be consistent.

A lot of people trying to act like, you know, they was down for before. A lot of people trying to do certain things, but it's just like, I remember I was bro, I ain't had nobody. I can call them by the butt my mom and my aunties. Like, I ain't had nobody. So I'm trying to figure out what's going on now.

Like everybody acting like, they just here for what came, they support and they fucking with. When I ain't had nobody in my back against the wall, I ain't had nobody to call. So you spend your whole life wanting to be like rich and famous, but then once you do it, you start to realize. I never wanted to be famous. You didn't? No, I'm not the type of person that I'm walking.

I never, like that was the person that wanted to be the front attention. I know what the person that went to walk in the room and be like, oh, highlight them. Like, I was never the person. I walk in the room. I mind my being. And it's just, it gratitate to me. Well, you wanted to be that kind of famous person that's kind of inducted up. I don't like, I don't like, I don't want to be famous at all.

Like, if you followed me before music, it was just like, I. I was just big on just personality. Like what I do, I always, like, recorded, you know, had fun. Like, people knew me from my friends. Like, they always, like, you're funny as fool. Like, it was never, like, a big thing. Like, I didn't really post, like, even now, I don't really, like, post a lot. Like, I be in my own bubble, like, still.

But I know, like, with my lifestyle now, all they got to change. You know, I got to, public content this many times. I got to do this. I got to do that. So that's the difference. But it's like, I'm 23. So I feel like you grew up in. the content world, you know, where it was normal to like think in TikToks and whatnot.

Like you always grew up with that as like part of your life, short form content and whatnot. But I think since I got here off, my purpose was starting with my personality, I think that's like one of the main reasons. It's like, I don't know. I'm not shy. I'm not like I'm very confident in everything I do. Like I walk like I'm heard. I believe in myself. So it's like when it came to me, it wasn't like a force.

It wasn't me trying you or anything going on. Like this is just me. Anyway, before I was a rapper. It's like, what they see me, it was already me before I started rapping. It just now I rap. Were you always pretty confident in yourself, like, even if we were to, like, see what you were like in high school and shit? Were you that person?

Oh, I never gave a fool. You were very sure of yourself? Yeah, I never gave a fuck. Were you popular? I was popular, but they won't, I want to say, like, popular as in media-wise. Okay. Like, where I was, wherever I go. Like, I was known.

People knew me, you know? People never tried me. Like, so I was good. Right. And I'm cool. So that just made even better. No, yeah, I was watching one of your other interviews, and it sounded like that. Like, you were probably, like, a person that people were drawn to even before the music.

Well, I've been, like, in the school I went to, like, in the community I stayed in, like, wherever I went. Like, I doubt then. I, like, people know where I'm from. Definitely. Do you do good in school? Yeah. I mean, I skipped a little bit, but, you know, I still did my work. You graduated?

Yeah, I went to college. Oh, okay. How long? Four year. And then I almost got kicked out. Oh, you almost got kicked out? Yes, well, it's really because I was, I just felt like at the time, it was a lot going on with COVID, and I went there for a nurse.

So then it was a lot of the vaccine stuff. It was just a lot. I was like, I don't even think I want to do this because like, where to him? Where is this going to lead me to? Like, I ain't know where it was going to go in the medical fear regardless of everything, what was going around. So it just made me not even want to do that no more.

And then at first it was a lawyer. I didn't want to do the lawyer no more because I felt like I got to take work home with me. And it's going to be like another stress on my mentality. It's like, I want to work and enjoy my life and be fun. I don't want to be worried about nothing, worry about depressed about nothing, worry about default life in my life. Like, it was a lot. So after all that, it was just like, damn.

And I was busting my ass, like, broke, hustling, doing four different things, trying to pay for tuition. Like, it was just a lot going on. So I was just like, maybe I need to go to fuck home and step my money and go get some money. because me trying to work and trying to turn up a three page and say and trying to do this and make sure I can eat and make sure this and I was just like then I'm here with people got friends that ain't my friends

getting this shit it was just a lot so I was just like I'm gonna go and yeah I'm just I'm glad I got this experience though okay so had you been thinking about rapping or fucking around rapping all through high school and shit too no I mean I dated someone that but I never I never wanted to do it like He used to try to get me to get on the songs and shit. Like, I ain't know what the fuck to say. You weren't feeling it?

Was he trying to write for you and shit? Yeah. Well, we made a song, but it was like even then there was like some fun that we did on like late night in the car smoking type shit. Okay. But this is some dude we don't know about? Yeah, you won't know about him. Okay. Oh, damn.

They laughing like his feelings are going to be hurt. I actually don't know who it is. So, uh. Okay. Now I feel like I probably know who it is. No, you don't know who it is actually. Well, I know about a lot. You think you know who he is.

I don't know. They giggling, like, I'm going to find out at some point. No, you're not. I know about a lot of, like, pretty irrelevant people, realistically. Do you? I do. I talk to people that are, like, pretty early in their career a lot of times, you know. Okay.

But, you know, probably not. There's a lot of people on earth. Okay. But so, when did you start, like, really rapping? Was it, like, a plan? Like, you know what? Instead of being a lawyer or a nurse, I'm going to be a rapper? Or did we just around?

I went home and I got me a job. And I was stacking my money. That's what I did. What was the job? It was security. Then I got fired. Then I went to Pepsi. Then I got fired.

Why did you get fired from security? Because I went to sleep. I was sleeping. They had me overnight. But the thing was I was so determined in making my money and hustling. It was like I was working a lot of shoes. I used to go to work at two in the afternoon, get off 80-11, and then go pick up another shift at two in the morning, get off the day at 7.

So it was just like, I was just like, I was. I was, I was like, I was like, I'm going to do it until I can't do it no more. Like, I know I'm tired. I'm not going to work a 20-hour shift. So if I'm here at 3 in the morning, I'm going to go to sleep. And then they had me in the car. So, is you're in the car? I mean, how the fuck are you not going to go to sleep?

That's what I'm saying. So I was like sleeping a lot. Like I usually had my alarm, you know, like the renewal of rindoo around it. But, you know, them days when you just fall asleep. Yeah. And then people walked up to the window. I mean, I can fall asleep pretty easily, like, all the time. Never mind.

three in the morning. Hell. There's almost nothing that could stop me from falling asleep at three in the morning. Yeah, so I was just like, so I went to Pepsi

it was spent like 30 hours hour. I thought I hit jet pot. But when I got there, it was like, oh, that's why it's 30 an hour because you gotta do a whole lot of fucking work.

Yeah? Hell yeah, I was building pallets. 24 counts, 30 count, 40 count. Like, literally building pallets. Like, all the top. Physical labor. Like the opposite of the security thing.

Putting on the pad. Now you're like physically working all the time. I'm putting the work. I'm putting the working. You can't fall asleep because you're ruling. Yeah. That was cool, but then I lost my friends.

So I just was like, fuck their job. It just wasn't working. Who is your friend? Like real, real close friend? Yeah. She was like one of my best friends. And how's she best? Like growing up.

Someone murdered her. Damn. Yeah, it's okay. That changed how you've been life? Oh, you're still trying to figure out who did it? Or they caught who did it and they're going to be on trial? You don't know. But we're still working on it.

Okay. But it was, it's all fucked up. But yeah. But that changed how you viewed life because that was like something you were super close with? I never lost nobody that close to me that like was family. Like before that I lost my granddad. That was probably like the first person that I was like really close with mentally that I lost. And then a year after day, I lost her.

And then it was like, damn, that was my best friend. And then a year after that, I lost my nephew. So it was like, damn. But I don't know. I feel like I got so skin. I pray a lot. I believe in God. So it's like he got me through it.

I'm here. I'm still doing it. I was going to quit music, actually, when I lost my nephew. Because I just felt like it was a lot. And then it was like me already grieving with her. And then having agreed with that. And then me just like, damn, like I want to both for them to be here.

Like I knew she would have been my number one supporter. And I knew the things that I wanted to do for my nephew when I didn't have the money. And the shit I could have did. It was like, damn. I knew it just out f*** up. But, you know, I mean, you could let shit like that just make you depressed and make you lazy, or you could take that and look at it and say, like, look, like, I don't got that much time on earth.

And it's not promised, you know? Like, I could be gone tomorrow, so I might as well go hard and take chances now. I just had to keep going. I just talk myself, like, I mean, I cry a lot, you know, when I'm in bed and shit, but I just tell myself, like, you got to keep going, you know what I'm saying? And I feel like if they were still, they would be telling me that. So I just think other positives because I know if I do go on that permission, I mean, depressive mode or I do feel like, well, let me just do this then I'm going to be stuck. It's going to be a hole and I'm having to deal myself out of it.

And it's like I don't even want to have to do that. But I know one day I'm going to have to actually sit down and reel in that day actually going on because it's like I haven't been having time to even like deal with my nephew, death because it's like he died literally the first month and me rapping. So it's like at that point, it was just like you got to keep push you keep push you. So it's like once I actually do stop and reel it in, probably could not be a time right now because how be as I am, I know it's going to put me, you know, in that place. But I just keep going. Right.

Like I had a scare last week where my mom got this like kidney infection and she was in the hospital. And for a moment it was like I was kind of having to actually think about like what would it be like if you lost your mom? It was like probably the person I'm closest to in the world besides my wife and my kid. And I was just really like thinking about it. I'm like, like, how would I be able to process that if I keep working all the time and doing content and traveling and all this shit? Like it almost feels like you just to scratch you.

You would have to like take time off to really like let yourself feel it. Because if I'm doing this shit all day, it's just pushing it out of my mind. And I feel like that's not healthy. Yeah. I mean, I know it's not, but it's like where I met in my metta and me knowing. what he meant to me and I know what told it would do, I just keep tricking. Right.

Because if I do, and if I do stop, it ain't going to be no more tricking. Right. It's going to take a while to keep tricking if I stop tricking. I mean, you got to think, like, if he was still around, what would he want to see? He'd want to see you blow up and do great things. Yeah, so that's why I'm just trying to at least get to a point

where I have a month. So you know Ashley did with it, but right now I don't, so I just keep going. Yeah. And especially that's the whole thing about coming up as a right. is that you don't really know if the opportunities that you have right now are going to be around. And it's a lot. And everybody looking at you and they wane on you, not knowing, like, you know, what you're

going on. Like, everybody, like, see me. I'm smiling. I'm bubbly. But it's like, no one really knows. And it's like, it's not for them to know. And I'm like, I think I do good, like, hide it. Even though it's not a good thing to hide it.

But it's just like, I mean. Definitely. So, okay, like, what were your, the first song that, like, I became familiar with was the whimwammy shit. But was that the first song that you really, it wasn't the first song you made, right? You made other songs before there? Or was that was the first one?

That was the first song I actually made and it was like brought out and it was like dropped. Like I had recorded before like, like I said with my ex-boyfriend, but that don't count. To me it don't count. Right. But first song as in like really, yeah, it was like, went with me. And how close were you in Pluto at that time?

Was that like your bestie at the time or just kind of made sense to do a song together? No, we was. close at the time. So that's what it is. We was together all the time. So at that time, we was home girls. You know, she was living with me. So it was like more like a sister thing at that time. So we just like girls that went to the studio and had fun and made a hit. And neither are you assigned at that time. The song just blows up on its own. No, she was braided hair and I was a security guard. Wow. And so it just takes off out of nowhere. Because now you're in the music industry, you know that a lot of the records that take off are to kind of blow up

because people are putting money behind it. But that really just started. Yeah, it wasn't like, I think that was one organic, like, blowup. Like, we literally went to sleep, woke up, basically famous. Yeah. Like, we didn't know, like, we had a million views on the mic drop. We got people texting us about labels, people saying, hey, I want you to do this. I want you to do that.

We're like, what the fuck? Right. And then we just dropped it. And then we're like, well, what the hell we're going to do now? So I'm like, shit. We're going to have to go out. We might go out. We might go out.

We might go out.
