A mutual friend of ours connected us and told me that you got a pretty crazy story that realistically is an important part of hip-hop history, but that a lot of people don't know about. Nearly nobody knows about it would appear. Really nearly don't know about me. Yeah.

That was your first time I heard hearing that he even had somebody that's even that close. Yeah. true. Yeah. So we got you on throwback on the show today. Before we, they already know where we're going to end this based on the title. But let's just give us an overview of, so you're from Atlanta or you're from? No, I was born in Savannah. Okay. You know what I mean? I went to, I was born in Savannah. Then I started dirt bike. I would really be doing BMX fighter. Really? Yeah. Racing or freestyle? Freestyle dirt bike. Oh. We moved to Atlanta, you know what I mean? We live in life, and then all of a son, you know what I mean, she meets this guy name for Troy. and then all of a sudden you hear for a train hanging around and then this lady shows up you know what I mean

so this lady shows up like woo-to-woo I can't deal with him I can't deal with him I can't do nothing with him and pulls off at the time she's talking about Gooch you get what I'm saying

so it's a long story like so you met him because your mom was dealing with him nah I met him on some like take care of him okay Like, not know take care of him, but you know how, you know how you could be, you know how your mom can have a best friend. Uh-huh. And she has a son, but he's mental.

Like, like, I'm talking about mental health. Like, it was like a feeling, not going to feel sorry, but like, you know what I mean? My mom was just like brought him here. And it was like, I know he's going to be a star. I know he's going to be a star. This is at 14, 15. I'm still in ninth grade. Uh-huh.

I know he's going to be a star. But he's grown or he's your age? Yeah, he's grown now. Yeah. But he, not in the mind, like, out of it. He was wild enough. Yeah, like, not even wild. I couldn't even wild yet.

This is before the medicine got involved. Before we knew he needed medicine. Then before we was in denial where we're looking at, like, we don't know what's wrong. We didn't even start going to the hospitals yet. My mom, the one who, like, for real, for real. My mom, like, for real, for real, for real. My mom, for about five years straight, every day to the hospital, we might wake up. He's gone.

Bellfeited, walking, you know what I mean? And no embarrassing. but this is just the facts. So before we knew Gucci, he was a difficult individual? Yeah, before you knew Gucci, he was an individual, had to relearn again. You had to, like, teach him, like, a grown man, like, like, I don't know, somebody puts something, like,

it's like a chemical balance, you know, he went to Alabama, then somebody put something in something because he was, like, he was really the boogeyman in Alabama. It was the real terrorist. taught me everything, like, for real, for real. So you went back to Alabama with him? No, he went back. Okay.

I had to stay in school. But every day I skip school and catch the greyhound. Like every weekend I catch the greyhound down here. This is quote, quote, this is before black t-shirt. Okay. This before robbing my black tea. Right. Okay, so you know what I mean?

And your mom believed in him as a rapper? My mom believed him as a fucking rapper. Because at the end of the day, he still sit in front of the radio with a tab and got down to say that's what he wanted to do. Uh-huh. He wasn't that mental. Then he knew he wanted to do. Okay.

Okay. So, So then he goes to Big Cat and that, like, he signs with him for, like, how long even? And you're just like, what, is right-hand man at this point? Oh, yeah, I'm there all day. I shot, man, one day, look, man, it's a lot. little crazy, don't keep it real with you, Adam. One day we in Florida, Adam. We beefing with these, we beefing with GZzi at the time. We in Florida, man. And we just got finished the show. And fucking around and got down.

We get kind of like in a little altercation. And bullies go to boom, boom, boom. I'm shot. I'm shot, nah, in the leg. I'm shot in the leg. Not knowing. I'm shot in the leg. So we gets in the car.

So Gucci in the back, right? We all in the car. We hit Gucci in the back, so we ride and got down, Goose were like, I mean, I smell blood. Hey, man, y'all, um, I smell blood, man, turn the light on, man. Somebody, somebody bleeding. So, everybody's looking.

I don't even know. I'm shot. You didn't know? Man, I swear to God, that bitch went in and went out. I did not. It happened went in and went out. I'm like, shit. So Goose lift the leg up.

So then, at the times, it was Young Sneed. He was signed with Big Cat. He was in the van with us. Yon Snee was like, looking down. looking down, so we go to look down. I got some shorts on, but I see the shit draining. I'm afraid to say that I'm shot, because I don't want to got then niggas to be like,

oh, nigger, you ain't the number one. Nicky, you're fumbling, you don't got shot, you ain't the number one, because I want to be the number one. I want to be the one who's straightened shit. I was the one who always, but I want to straighten this shit. Like, for real, anybody from fuck with him, period. Right.

So I'm, so I'll try to wipe it, right? Sneed, oh, he's shot. So then when Go to the hospital right now. He's shot. I'm like hell no, I gotta want, gee, we ain't going to hospital. We're going to the fucking hotel room. I'm afraid to go to sleep. And we're trying to get back to Georgia.

But it wasn't bleeding that bad. It just was a slow dream because it went in and when it came out. It was just like a slow drain. It was like a slow drain just going down. If I get shot like that, anyway, in and now I would be talking about it forever. Man, so listen, though. So he was like, hell no, you're going to get gang green. So, nah, this was the next day.

That is a good point. This is the next day. So it was next day, boom. Everybody, we wake up, the whole bad. fucked up for me getting shot. So when we get in the car, so he was like, you go to the hospital? I'm like, hell no, I'm like, hell no, I ain't going to

hospital, I got a warrant. Fuck that shit. He's like, bro, for real. You're like, you're going to get gang green. Man, I'm telling you, man, you're going to get gang green. Your leg going to get cut off. Then we can't do nothing. That's the only thing made me go to hospital, bro.

Wow. I went to the, I went to know exactly what they fucked they did. I tried to get them to clean me up. I tried to get up and lead the motherfuckling, put the handcuffs on me right then. There it go. How long do you get locked up for?

They were just a probation violation, but I wasn't ready to fucking deal with that shit. Let me ask you this, though. Were you always that guy? Because it's got to take a certain kind of guy to be the shooter that's protected Gucci Man, right? Like, not basically just to enforce a period. That's what they call the shooters, but it's a lot of not right. So, yeah, I was that nigga. I was that nigga.

Like, you ever seen the best day video went on? We was out freestyle. They put me on camera, and he was like, nah, you don't need it. I was like, really. Like, I was doing that. out of love, not for clout what they call it today. I was doing it because I love that niggins. And still due to this day, you can't even say shit about it.

Two niggas stayed, one shot to run. And that's when shit, you just heard. And the dude run out the dude.

And then run out the house, go across the street, go in the woods. So then, got down, we get in the car, we drive. I'm like, what the fuck? So then. So you just dipped out after this happened? No, we ain't had no. choice, man, that shit. More niggas are probably coming in everything.

Just, just left. We left and then we got down. We think we just, we, we just think we, we, that everybody, we don't know what really happened. Like, we don't know who shot or whatever, but it was like, it was like he, like, I want to explain, like, it happened so fast.

You didn't know someone died. No, that's what I'm saying. Happened so fast. When we got out, niggas was just going. It's a nigga outside cutting the grass already. Uh-huh. So then we were like, all right, We just got away from this shit.

The bitch got down crying and shit, we leave her. We go to New York, the Mad Links. Shit, we sit in Mad Lings. All of a sudden, we here got down. Niggas wanted for murder and shit. Him. So you guys left right out of there and went to New York. We had an appointment.
