of the 2026 Oheim Cup Hello TC What a day, Sali. What a day. Truly, that was a fitting end to a really good, really good day of golf, really good afternoon of golf. He's putting on a brave face. He's in shambles over here. We got producer cam going over there. Cody running the ones and twos. Hello, Cody. Hello. How are we doing? Excited to be here and excited to have my friend, Mr. Big. He's here big. What are we doing, buddy? What's up, boys. God, what an afternoon evening, as it were, as it is for you guys. just some electric golf with my coffee this morning. Jennifer Cup Joe, I can't hear you. The rundown, early reaction here is going to be brought to you,

Guys, just had another really long day walking around about, saw about as much golf as I physically possibly could. You know, I watched a lot of the Lauren Coglin match this afternoon. and then darted around to see the ending matches. Watching the final, there's only one match out on the course.

I'm watching it on 17. I see the approach shots come in. Europe is one up. And I see them come in. TC sends a message. There's pizza in the media center. And we had a bad dinner situation last night. It ended up being a great dinner situation.

It was, but we were hungry. Here. And I looked at the situation on the green, and I was like, there is no path to even a tie for the U.S. in this match. I'm going to dart and get my pizza.

And the U.S. won that match. Jennifer Cup Show hold a 91 foot putt from the back of the green. Europe had two good looks at Bertie. They missed both of those, so they go to 18 tied. Celine Boudia hits it in the water on 18. Carlos Saganda hits it on the green, but pretty far

away. And the U.S. has two looks at Bertie to now win the match. Lindy Duncan does not get hers to the hole. And Jennifer Cupchow from 30 feet, I mean, like not a short putt. Put it right in the center to tie the Solheim Cup, 8 to 8 U.S. team goes nuts.

She goes hands to the ear. Not the most outgoing player, but absolutely feeling herself at the moment. Incredible photo here. I don't know who the photographer was, but golf.com tweeted this one with Lindy Duncan with her hands on her head in the background. It was awesome. It was such a great day of golf.

I was just going to be a little bummed if we were like, you know, 9-7 and a ton of European momentum. And I'm hoping we get a close day tomorrow. And the U.S. just completely, completely flipped it on its head at the end. and I just smiling ear to ear because that is match play man and this event has been so fun and we had just an absolutely epic Saturday. Real quick. Real quick. Sorry. On that put on the telecast, because I know you guys aren't watching Golf Channel here in the States like I am, you can audibly hear, and I think they said it was Nellie's caddy. But that put's 50 feet out. Like it hasn't even gone down the big slope yet to the hole. in Jason, right, is his name, Nellie's caddy, is yelling one time, one time. And I mean, this putt tracks for a good like five more seconds on my television screen,

hits the side of the lip, goes in like a truly, truly unbelievable putt. But I was just so astonish. I mean, he was calling one time so early in that put. Yeah, we got Debbie, Debbie Elder, 5140 in the comments. Saying grumpy, grumpy cup show shoving it to T.C. She did. She did. She's one of my favorite commenter.

It's one of my favorite commenter. Yeah. Richard here. We haven't seen Richard in a while. Yeah, Richard hasn't been in a while. Yeah, he's always coming through. We encourage you shoving it in T.C.'s face. Yes, of course.

It's most of the fun we have to. I'll say on that final match, I was so bummed when some of the worst situational golf I've ever seen from Celine Boutier down the stretch. I'll forgive Carlota. because she was kind of playing with one hand behind her back, having to carry Cary Celine all afternoon, who's 0 and 3 now. But yeah, and so, you know,

Sally had the timer out. We're standing there on 15T. Sally's at the timer out. It's been an issue. It's been an issue with some players on Team Europe. And I just want, as a journalist, as somebody documented, I want to have the evidence to support the takes

that they are taking way too long on some of these shots. It's a, it is a side quest. It might be the main quest for Carlo da Saganza at this point. It's comical. You can always tell when it's about to happen. It's usually when the U.S. still has a shot to play. They're taking an inordinate amount of time to play a lot of the shots. We're not going to focus on that.

T.C. is trying to muddy the waters here on the massive momentum flip that the U.S. No, I just want to talk about the Swedes. We will get to the Swedes. The Swedes were excellent and amazing. But yeah, kind of a little disappointed. I missed out after hustling as much as I did today on that incredibly exciting finish. but wow, just a complete flip on its head. We were 4-4 going into the day and we're 8-8 at the end of the day after a big blue wave this morning.

Not only that. We called it. We called this yesterday. You guys did. I said 9-7. Oh, sorry. I was giving you partial credit. That's the T.C. way.

Honestly, your prediction was better. It took an absolute miracle to back to 80. What are you pulling for big? Like, what do you want? What do you want? Like, who do you want to win this? well my my official prediction i believe was a 1414 retain in europe for the u s a u s a you know i'm a team europe guy with with tc i ride with tc i would love listen i would love for this to come down to

uh the last match tomorrow for the solheim cup whoever that may be we'll find out here soon as as the show's going on but i think that's what you want in all these conversations competitions, right? Like, I wanted to come down to a great match, maybe the final match on course, maybe the last couple matches, Csaw. Like, I want to see some of these best players in the world in the biggest situations. And if the U.S. comes out on top, like, great, tip your cap, you know, huge fan of L.C., huge fan of some others on that team.

Like, I'm not going to be despondent. But, yeah, I ride for T.C. and the Euros. Randy, we were talking about a little bit last night. It is a more likable American team. I'm happy to report that. Do you do my Brian Winhorse? Why would that? Now, why is that?

Why is that? It's still not totally there yet. There's still some things we're concerned with around just the formation of the team and captain's picks and such. But I'm really pleased to see on this European team. the new blood is great man like the I'm like I do not need to see Celine Boutier play for this team anymore like let's get the new

generation and we're we're ready to rock with Mimi and Nastassia and I was bummed to not see Julia today she didn't play at all today and more to come to I mean there's the I can't I can't remember her first name but there's the the Irish girl I want to say Don again there's Darcy Harry from from

Wales. Like there's, there's so many that are coming. All the Swedes, D.C. You know, you have a train of Swedes that always show up. We got to get Allen. I got it in there for him. Hey, I just, sorry, I'm going to flash this. This is going to be a very comment-heavy show. Okay. All

time comment right here. I need to read out for our audio listeners. Casey Bushnell 3518. I read into the boys today, happy to report they bitch about TIO even when the cameras are off. Randy, I learned a lesson today. So, yeah, I did not know this. Now, listen, I don't play a lot of golf tournaments

that have grandstand set up. But Esther Hinslet got relief from the grandstand that we're looking at right here just right of the 16th green. I think Leonel was playing for it, if I were being honest. She, you know, marks the nearest point of relief. And she takes two club links of relief from that. And I'm like, it's one for a free drop. Like, what are we doing here?

There's like an imaginary, essentially like an imaginary, extra club you get like to rent that represents like the corridor away from that nearest point of relief just to make sure you get full relief away from the t io so she's essentially got two club you get more than one but not less than two is basically the rule and uh and then you get your like half moon area that you can drop it and it improved her angle and she had a heck of a shot and they got it up and down uh in a big moment but i honestly i was extremely confused as why she's getting two club links and several of my rules people informed me that was a lesson to be learned there.

Neil, namely. And I got to say, the TIO has been, they've done a great job with the buildout and set up that it's been a very small issue. I know there was the issue with the bridge on 16. That's not great, but the grandstands have been really far out of the way.

I mean, not had a lot of incidents. But thank you for the comment, Casey. The whole locations have been awesome. Yeah, we had one, like that,

I just love the course, man. It's a really fun. Like, it makes me want to go play golf. Yeah. The corridors are pretty wide, but there's definitely a line of charm. 12 was a great example today.

There's this far left pin that looked like it was, it's behind this 10-foot mound, basically. And 15 was an awesome pin. 16 was a great pin back left here. Just really separating a good shot from a great shot, a bad shot from a good shot. It's been consequential golf shots, especially on the par fives and the par threes. A ton of shot value. I know people can roll their eyes when they hear that term, but it is like, it's really hard to take a shot off in these matches, some bad matchplate courses, some bad

rider cup courses. You'd be like, I don't need to see the T shots. Like, we'll just, you know, if they're in the rough or they're in the fairway, they're going to wedge it on there and, you know, the crowd's going to go nuts. Here, it's like you've got to get the ball landing in the proper direction in the fairway or else it's rolling into something that you don't want it to roll into. The fairway buggers are penal. Like as soon as a ball goes into the bunker, it like, you just feel the impact of that.

The heather is especially penal, but you can get some good lies in some of these places. So it matters what you're coming out of. I thought, I thought, was that seven was a great example today of like integrity on a shot of, you know, it's it was downwind. Like the wind was a little bit more kind of, you know, down across the course a little bit today. and it was enough of it to make you think, especially down the stretch. And seven was, you know, if you're not in the fairway there, you're probably late. And there's there's a big, like that canal runs short of that green. So you have to clear the canal, landed in a pretty tight area to get it to stop where the pin is.

Otherwise, you're just rolling off the back of the green. It's, it's simple but not easy. Yeah, I would say SJL 94 in the comments here. You're not having good, you know, you're take a couple plays off. These are not good takes. The pin locations suck. They're all in bowls, challenge these players as not the golf.

We witnessed out here. There's my voice. You're in their ass, man. Come on. We play that tonight. The setup is woke golf at its finest. I don't know if that's a compliment or a, I don't know any way.

I'll actually think that. Yeah, it is a pretty woke golf out here. SjL. 94. Normally J.D. Stan has the bad takes. Yeah.

Yeah. Let me just say on TV because I, I'm sorry, I was not on the show yesterday, but Bernardis was not this familiar with your game. It looks awesome on TV, to your guys' point. Like, it's a mix of some lynxy feel, the fairway bunkers, you know, the big lips, the penal nature of those. You have the scrub brush, you know, it kind of looks Heathland in spots.

And then the canals as hazards, they look awesome. And I just love the way that they play and that they frame these holes and, ultimately this golf course. I have really, really, really enjoyed Bernardis. Randy, the only thing we need in the canals, though, is we need some of either some barges or some of those little electric boats that people can take around. Just get us out of the canal. At least give them like rafts or something. Let them float with pool noodles. Yeah. Yeah, let's get some folks in the canals.

I'll say this, Randy, though. What makes all of that come alive that you just described is the fact that this is a women's event and the women's scale of the game fits it so well and like I feel like the men's game they'd be blowing it past all these hazards and it would feel totally different right and that's why certain venues we just get hyped about seeing you know this style of play

you know fit just a better scale of the game fit a particular golf course and that's what's dude it's just been really fucking fun like I am I've seen we've seen some really high level golf we've seen some pretty mediocre golf at times it feels like a pretty strong variance in some of the golf we've seen, but

I've been fortunate with some of the matches I've followed. I know we're going to eat to the Swedes this afternoon as well, and the match I followed yesterday, Charlie and Lottie and Yulimi and Angel, that was incredible, incredible golf from three of those as well. But it's just been

an absolute treat and a blast. It's going to rain tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be a real drencher tomorrow. Also, I'll push back on all the pins being in bowls thing. That's not true at all. Like the pins on the part threes have been tucked way over on the right side or way over the left side and the wind's been quartering it like they've they've been like the iron play has been what this thing

has turned on like you and you're not going to make other you know cup show notwithstanding you're not going to make a lot of puts from different uh portions of these greens you have to be in the proper section yeah yeah so i think one of the best things the solheim cup has going for it is it's much more of a quote unquote neutral course setup than the rider cup is you know tc i remember our first solheim at inverness like damn near played like a u.s open at times like it was it was challenging so i i do like that you know it's not just set up by the by the home team to maximize what they think their advantage is it's it's it's more of that neutral set up and i yeah i think that ultimately makes for a pretty compelling event, which we're getting.

I'm a little bit concerned. Our guy Randy Robles has been pretty quiet tonight. I would love some updated stats on whether the front nine, because there was a big front nine back nine split yesterday, Randy. The front nine euros were dominating the back nine. The Americans, and that was as predicted, as you heard. But I'd be curious to know if that flipped it all the day. But that, that stretch from 789 has been pivotal in all these matches. I feel like the euros have gotten off to better starts, but I feel like the Americans kind of solved that this afternoon. TC's got like a pre-scheduled Slack message of like,

here's the big blue wave, guys, here it comes. He just sends that out three holes. There was a big blue wave. I woke up to that message this morning. I was so excited. I wanted you to wake up to that message. Yeah, that was the thing. Well, to be fair, yeah, it was 7.5.

Heading into the afternoon. Seven of the eight pairs this morning. It was TC 40 the first hole. Seven of the eight pairs. So it was, you know, like you got to really get off the bus here. Speaking of Randy Robles, one little thing is we continue to get to breaking down the day's play and everything, but setting things up for tomorrow, Sunday, singles. Historically, the U.S. had dominated single play in the Solheim Cup, leading 122.5 to 97 and a half under that singles format.

Consider that over the previous 19 Solheim Cup. Cups, the U.S. has scored the European team by three or more points, eight different times. Three of those eight instances were on the road, including 2015 in Germany. That year, the U.S. trail 10-6 going into singles or rallied to win the cup with the strength of an eight and a half to three-and-a-half advantage in singles. All the line. That was, of course, the year with the Suzanne Pedersen, Allison Lee situation that unfolded did hear this week. After all that unfolded, Allison sent an email. a note to Suzanne Pedersen after all of that.

Never got a reply. Maybe they're probably went to the junk. I don't. I don't think that's the case. Never got to reply. Suzanne strikes me as somebody that email. Nah. I don't have email. Yeah. Come shake my hand. Also congratulated every U.S. player after the 2024 U.S. Solheim Cup except Allison Lee.

Again, just a reminder like Suzanne did this. Allison didn't do anything in this process. and never officially got an apology from her, which I just learned that this week. That was that was tough, a tough thing to learn. Hold on. Can we double back?

Is Cody there? What is that, sorry, what is the historical single stat again? The U.S. has dominated all time. I'm sorry, Big. You know, honestly,

So. Okay. Okay. Just my quick as we're talking, what's interesting, if I may add an addendum to that, the Europeans have not lost a single session since 2015. Wow. Randy Robles. Now they've tied. They've been a lot of six-sixes, but Europe, yeah, Europe has not lost a single session since 2015. I think there should be a captain's agreement tomorrow morning that

Angel and Nana are playing together. Send them on and get that out of the way. It is going to, yeah, it was most certainly not a ball striking fiesta watching those ladies play on day one.

They did not play on day two. Congrats on the angelian call from last night. Yes. Yes. That was not a difficult one. I do not think. We did see her on our way to the first tea or in the afternoon session. In the afternoon, she was dressed like Elvis or like like Evil Caneval. Yeah, it was she said she was on the first tee dancing and her evil kiddieel outfit.

But she's truly one of a kind. Sitting on the European side, it was Carlota Seganda, Julia Lopez Ramirez. with Yulia Lopez Ramirez, as I've been told, Celine Boudier and Nana Kurtz Madsen. Match one was the unbeaten duo of Alison Corpus and Nellie Corder. They were up against the Swedes, Maya Stark, and Lynn Grant. Europe wins this one, three and two. They were pretty much in control the whole way.

I followed this match for a little while. Nellie was not herself. Saw her kind of like squatting, like crouch down. after she teed off or I forget if she was the one that the tee shot on 12 she was not playing on 12 Allison was playing on 12 but just kind of like trying to gather some energy saw her yawning, saw her going for electrolytes after the match after they lost three and two on the 16th hole. Everybody was hugging on 16 and she was kind of giving fist bumps. Did get word later.

She has a bug. She, which seems to happen somehow to every U.S. team that comes over to Europe. U.S. Walker Cup team that happened. The U.S. Rider Cup team happened in 23. that now that's happened so apparently she's not the only one dealing with that but um something of her for tomorrow could be potentially um she did not play in the afternoon so got some rest uh this afternoon um but yeah i kind of a tough spot if i was evaluating that situation i would say all right nellie's not at her best i would want her to sleep in as much as possible maybe play the afternoon

but that has been an unbeaten fours team her and alison and that probably would have messed with the overall plan i'm sure that i i think they probably had some variables for play their four play pairing for four ball player pairings damn it four ball pairings but probably that's the other channel probably were really set on foursome's pairings and didn't want to tweak those and that one hurt today because they were they were very far from their best and they got beat the euros played the three little

stretch seven eight nine they put it in four under uh just you know that was a back breaker. They got some stuff in the bank before they got to 10 and 11, which they've struggled on. And yeah, listen, the Stark and Grant, we were saying, send them out early, they're the alphas now. They're the alphas on this European team, and

they certainly played like it this morning. T.C. This pairing, you can tell. This morning, this was set by Captain Stanford months ago. She wasn't going to change Nellie, no matter how Nellie felt. Like, this was I think we only we went through and looked only one pairing change from from yesterday's morning sessions till today.

And then Nelly, you're right. When she was finished, had a little bug. She went out and saw everybody off on one. And then people were upset in the comments and online that she wasn't out there watching these matches finish. People were upset. Yeah. Where's Nellie? Why isn't she out there? She was supposed to be this team captain? Listen, I saw Nellie leaving this golf course as soon as they were off on one.

All right. She's gone. Going to get whatever worked on and then sleep. as she should because tomorrow is way more important trying to get a point than being out there, you know, if you're under the weather. So that's where Nelly was at. Her caddy Jason was out there all afternoon, cheering everybody on. Yeah, there was still really strong energy, you know,

especially the caddies that weren't like, their players weren't playing, were having a blast. They were, they had beverages. They were, you know, a massive energy and like kind of communicating with each other where to go and making sure they're in the right spots. Like, I think that would be a, that's a non-story. Don't even print it. But yeah, I mean, very clearly was under the weather and not herself and just had a kind of that look on her face of just not feeling her best.

So it definitely something to monitor for tomorrow. Well, boys, I want to go back to Friday morning of 2023 in Finca Cortizan, Spain. T.C. our excitement when they put out Lynn and Maya together as the first group, to start the Solheim Cup. They did not win that match in Spain, but we loved, we loved, yeah, we loved putting out the two Swedes, the future of Team Europe Solheim Cup.

And I just want to say, like this week is the culmination of that pairing. We are seeing them play fantastic golf, and it's so much fun. Randy, I couldn't have said it better. I feel like we drilled helical piling that week, and now we've finally built a foundation. Somebody in the comments talking about the jack food. From, I think of Cortizant as well.

I couldn't agree more. I was stoked for that match, and it lived up to, you know, they were, they were just vibed all day. They've been even yesterday, too. Like, I think resting them yesterday afternoon was curious, I think, but it paid off today in a big way. I love foursums.

I think it is like one of the best, most pure forms of golf there possibly is. There's a team aspect of it, but one ball in play. You're just using your individual components of your game. When you hit a great shot, you don't get to hit the put when you hit a bad one, you don't get to hit the recovery. There's no connectivity between your shots. Matches are so easy to follow with just two balls in play. And watch when you see a pair blend really well.

together and just look like look unbeatable and just uh you know i used i've used a jiff before of like this awesome 70 foot handball pass uh in in seeing somebody go in for a dunk that's what it looks like it looks like a clear but like a really clean baton pass somebody running a relay race and you can tell when a team's vibe is off between the two and then they're you know they're just making mistakes and you can tell it when the team is is truly jelling and maya and lynn were just a treat to watch in that format especially. And then same pairing in four. I mean, skipping ahead of the afternoon,

we're going to get back to the foursums, but then watching them in four ball, just like, we'll get there. We'll get there. But then it's, they played, they were a great four ball team in terms of like Maya carrying the load.

And every time there was a slip up, Lynn was right there to fill in as well. They just had great, great, great chemistry there and so much fun. Maya's energy was awesome. Every time she pulled a putt, she just gave like a really earnest yell, like not a performative yell,

just like there was just genuine, an excitement every time she did something great. And I salute those two for some excellent, excellent golf. Walked with Maya's family for a lot of it. They were great. Yeah, there's so many Swedes here, Randy. It's crazy how many Swedes are here.

Like Swedish flags. Every sports fans. It's massive. Match two, Jennifer Cupcho and Rose Zhang against Leona McGuire, Esther Henslett. Europe won this one, one up. It was a pretty up and down

match. We kind of caught this one at the very end, Randy. I know you probably is probably in the middle of the night for you, so I don't think we have a lot of coverage on this one other than the pace of play on 17 was again very tough. Esther Hensler was way off to the right. It took like over, when I said like

what is going on right now, I then took out the timer and then it took over a minute from there. Player, same situation kind of as Carlotta the day before players just like with, you know, that were not in the match. It's like hands on their faces of like this cannot be taking this long.

Caddy's getting upset. Games womenship. Yeah, TC's a fan of slow play now. Well, no, I mean, well, Sali, certain circumstances. Solly told me if the group is not out of position, then you can't put him on the clock. And so I'm just going by what the, what he's told me about the rules.

That is what applies when you're, you know, you have T times on both sides of a golf course in stroke play when you have massive traffic jams. I don't think like this, I don't think this should apply. And listen, all counts, like technically, this is not a penalty. I would just encourage the rules officials.

One, like, one, the, the policy should be different for match play, for sure. Like, you should not be taking three minutes to hit a golf shot in general. And, like, after, after, we talked about this a lot last night. After Carlo da Saganza, the incident on 18 yesterday, taking about three minutes to hit a reproach shot. The Rola Siganda incident. Yeah. The Siganda situation.

Nellie got off the course and marched straight to the rules official. office and like demanded an answer of when they were going to finally penalize her. Like that, that happened. And their answer was exactly that of like when you're not out of position, you're not being timed. We can't penalize somebody. I just think that I, this is consistent with what I've said. I want reform on this rule.

You always say like they're not enforcing the rules. We can reach across the aisle. And I would say, I just think that one, it should be very different for match play because they keep pulling this lever. Europe does. And it doesn't make me upset in terms of like the actual how the match is up. playing out. It's just hard to watch. Like, it kills the momentum of some excellent golf. And I don't want it to be a storyline tomorrow. You know, when people tune in comes to the end. When there's 12 balls,

when there's 24 balls on the course. Yeah. I would like to see the rules officials just be a little bit more stern overall, too. You were talking about a ruling that Rose got? What was that one? She was calling it. She was like, hey, this is an animal. Oh, that was you. Yeah. She got, burrowing animal relief. I know they don't call it that anymore. I think we realized that from Anil ruling potentially. In Michigan, I think it was.

That's also courtesy of Big Randy Robles and the Elias Sports Bureau. I do think watching Leona, man, like she's so limited off the team. I mean, she was flying at 195. It's sick.

And she's just, she's, ultimate grinder rat. It's incredible. There's like there's two polters on Europe. I want to compare her to polter, but Saganda tends to be a polter as well. Cody, did you see like a driver off the deck or something? A high draw driver off the deck. That same hole.

Leonid just trying to keep up with everyone. Just robed this high draw driver off the deck up there and, you know, miss the birdie pod. But like, definitely neat. She was hitting some ridiculous shots. I followed them. The entire match. Leona has the, like, she's such a dog.

Like, it doesn't matter what position she's put in. She just fights and fights and fights. I said this. It's like playing you in match play. It's crazy. He looks like she might be as stiff as me too.

She walks around like she's a 60-year-old that she's just got like arthritis or something. I'd say all-time great golf name. Leona McGuire, like you were just destined for greatness in the game of golf. I think really interesting too. She did not play. any foursums in

2024 and that was on the heels of 2023 where she lost with Captain Anna Nordquist she lost both her foursum's matches so I you know Anna saw was was

experienced with Leona lost twice in foursums in 2023 obviously Captain Pedersen sat her last year in foursums but for the big Swede to send her back out twice this year and Leona has two wins to show for it. That's just interesting captaining, I think.

I wanted to note that. That's a really good note. Yeah, Leona's two and one so far and has played a lot. We're kind of curious how much she was going to play and has played a lot. Match three was Andrea Lee. I just lost my tip. Andrea Lee and Austin Kim against Mimi Rhodes and Nastassia Ndow. this was domination from Mimi and Nastassia.

They won four and three. Again, I think it's a watch much of much of this one, but just seemed like kind of meh golf on the U.S. side and very strong back. Europeans were only one up at the turn, but then turn it on the back nine. They birdied 10, part 11, and then made an birdie on 12. They won eventually four up with a birdie finally on 15. Yeah, they buried the first two and then just never let up.

I think the, it's six birdies and 15 holes. An old shot. Yeah, an old shot, which is insane. And then I misspoke earlier. Andrea and Austin were the only paired this morning not to birdie number two, not number one. So just so the Euros were all over number two. Gotcha. This was just a new grouping for the euros too is the only thing I would add.

Maybe they've, you know, obviously we're not, we're not playing any more foursums this Solheim Cup. But perhaps they've stumbled on something. in years ahead. Yeah, I'd be curious where this was in the plan versus, you know, obviously benching Celine and Dana Kurtz Madsen this morning,

which was the pairing that did not work out very well in foursums yesterday. If this was part of the plan or if this was an audible call, but it definitely paid off for Europe. They won that match. And also, so that's the first three matches go to Europe this morning, but in the final match. That was the wave.

Yeah. The final match. Alison Lee and Lauren Coglin won six and five over Charlie Hall and Lottie Wode. Just straight domination on the U.S. side. Seven under through 12. In all shot. Lauren Coglin is playing like the best player in the world right now. It's I can't, I've seen her hit, you know,

played the most probably of anyone here, any one player here. And I've never seen her play like this. it's incredible. Allison was a great partner for her. Her four ball partners have struggled. And she just keeps holding her own, keeps holding her own. I know she lost in the afternoon and we'll get there.

But it's just been some amazing, amazing golf. She's having so much fun. She's always smiling. She looks so confident and it looks like she just was born for these moments. And I just said it last night. We can say it every night. I just was not imagining this when our relationship with her started like seven years ago.

I don't think she was, it was she was imagining this either she's the best man walking around out there with john like she's she's soaking it all in and she's got a lightness about her that you would think she's playing in a member guest somewhere like she's she's just going at pins and she's playing offense and she's not worried about the downside risk and and it's so fun to see i think it's also remarkable john told me this today she's had this was for seven this afternoon was her seventh uh seventh team match in the in the in the in the in the Solheim cup in her career.

She played with six different partners. And this was the first one she lost. Yes. So that just goes to show you how comfortable captains are with putting her out with virtually anyone. And if you look at who she's played with throughout the years, it is, it runs the gamut. It's the entire spectrum of players, personalities, skill types, all of that. So she's like a captain's dream. She's kind of like a like a Max Homa when Max is playing well.

Four, sorry, Coglin, Lauren Elsie, four foursomes matches. She went two and O in 2024. She's two and O this year. She has yet to get to the 17th hole in any of those four foursomes match wins. She's just, it's such a good format for her. And, I mean, she's two one and one. She played with Allison Lee. Allison Lee is three and no.

She has played excellent, excellent golf. We comment on this lot. Nobody corrected me on this. So I assumed the stat was right that she was the first mom to play in the Solheim Cup since 2010. 2010, and I believe that was Julie Inster. Wow. Who was here. Yeah.

And it's just crazy to think about Julie Inxter. Like, it seems like it's so long ago that those teams were. But, man, shout out to Allison. And it's cool that, like, the kids running around out there, like, turn on mom, too. It's crazy to think about. The last time, you know, she made that team in D.C. and nobody knew that she's like what was it seven, eight weeks pregnant

already at the time. They had talked, she told, she told, like, yeah, I don't know how I'm going to be in the mornings because I have like really bad morning sickness and like just cutted it out. And now made the team two years later as a mom. It's just a cool, full circle moment.

I just think we don't know who Lottie. vibes with yet and I think you need to kind of move her around a little bit like I would have loved to have seen um I don't know I mean I feel like Lottie's game is pretty malleable as well like I think I think you mix it up a little bit and try to try to find something I I did not get to see this match so that is my disclaimer here the vibe the reports have been that they you know they played poorly uh the vibes were not great between the two of them that's that's going to happen when you play poorly here's how I look at this. When I watched those two play

their match on Friday afternoon and it was the best team Europe possibly could have put out. They were awesome. Lottie was awesome. They made so many birdies every time I think it makes total sense in four ball. I agree. That was just such a great four ball pairing. And they're like two of your

best players. Were you going to sit them this morning? I get the point here is like could they have found better partners than what they had? Potentially. I just don't I don't. It's a hard thing to guess on or try to predict because I know you probably want to play them and maybe it just didn't work with balls and there's a whole like downstream effect of every pairing. So I guess I was I'm not apologizing for that pairing in the morning. I saw a lot of sentiment that they should not

have sent them back out together in the afternoon. And I didn't I didn't agree with that again just with how good they had played together and they played good this afternoon. They shot eight under best ball, which is not like amazing, but it's not like, that's, that's good golf. They're a good yin and yang in four ball. They, you know, just went up against Yulimi again. I got, that's what, like, if Yulimi no, and we haven't even gotten to her yet, if Yulimi no doesn't just give two titanic performances in afternoon four ball, this leaderboard looks different. The Lottie Wode, Charlie Hall pairing looks different. Yeah. Yulimino carried Angel Yin to a half against Europe's team yesterday. And today, Andrea had some good moments on the back nine, contributed some,

but Yilemi was like six under through nine. The score counted on 14 of the holes. She had five birdies and an eagle on the front nine. She played unbelievable. It was incredible. Unbelievable, including like just, you know, Andrea got in trouble on 18 with nursing the one-up lead. Yalimi just splits the fairway. It's a perfect high fade to the middle of the green, easy two putt to lock it down and just looked like she was playing a Monday practice round. Like never looked. it just it was an incredible incredible hero golf from yulemi no and i just don't know if she had to go up against lottie wode and charlie basically on her own and got a point and a half out of it i think i salute you where i struggle a little bit with charlie she was getting back

treatment yesterday the vibes have been not great like she's she's kind of a finicky personality right and which we've seen before at solheim you know it's like she's just yeah there's just there can be some weirdness there sorry to cut you off tc I mean, she admitted to that. If you guys listen, I can't remember whose podcast it was. I want to say it was Keras, maybe. I think she did a podcast with Kara K. Dixon around the Masters. And she talked about like, yeah, like,

Solheim Cups really hard for me because team golf is just like not my thing. Like, it's hard to partner with people. I don't like not being on my schedule. I like doing things my own way. And she has like her little team and like she struggled with it. That doesn't mean that she doesn't, isn't trying to embrace it. I'm confused that they sent her out all five.

Yeah. Right. I mean, because she's the highest ranked player on your team. Like, she's supposed to be your dude. But that's Lynn. It's interesting not to,

you know, I guess I am second guessing, but Charlie played with Esther, Esther in foursomes two years ago, uh, went one and one. Esther then went with Leona. I think there's a world where you put Esther with Charlie again,

and I think Lottie and Leona are just as strong of a fours team. Now, granted, that's all hindsight, and it sounds better now. But that is just a little, I'd be curious what went into that decision, I guess. And then, yeah, all right, let's get to, do I want to do afternoon first or we want to do singles first. I think we do afternoon first. Let's get through the afternoon and then we'll, yeah.

Sitting for the U.S., Nelly Cordo, Allison Lee, Angel Yin, Allison Corpus. Not a lot of surprises there on the European side. Nana Kurtz Madsen sits both sessions today. Mimi Rhodes sits as well. Yulia Lopez Ramirez sits both sessions and Esther Hinslet sits as well. First match out was Megan Kang, Lauren Coglin against Maya Stark and Lynn Grant. I walked this entire match. It was, my and Lynn were just incredible.

Maya made so many putts. Lynn stepped up at the right moments. Again, we just discussed Lauren, held her own as long as she could. Megan did not have a great, great match. I think Megan justified a big, big spot for Megan tomorrow. I think if she wins that match, going two and one as a kind of a questionable captain's pick, proves she is the matchplay dog that she has been in the past. she had a great second nine yesterday but benefited quite greatly from a strong partnership

yesterday afternoon so big spot for her because it was off today it was bad and she she left she left Lauren on her own for most of the day Laura that was immense stuff from Lauren to get that match to even being close down the stretch she birded four the first five and like and they were only one up um which you know like I mean shit she Maya hold out Lauren hit six inches on one and Maya holds it out from the fairway

for an eagle it was I mean just an epic match and then you know like Lauren you know like Lynn Lynn birdies

8 10 11 12 Maya birdies 13 awesome birdie there and then Lynn stopped one on 15 but Maya made a bomb right on top of her Lauren hit

one of the best shots of the day on 15 right after Lynn hit this sick like high or sling drawing to the exact right spot. That was such a good environment on that hole.

And like everything was kind of hinging on that match. Like, because I think if Europe doesn't get that match, the vibes get really different. Yeah. You know, for for the final three. And we're probably looking at a, you know, probably a two point US lead here. So Lauren, I mean, she just, she played unbelievable golf. She got gusted a little bit on 14 on her second. shot but driver looks awesome

putter looks good she's you know iron she's just like it's flawless stuff so they just got beat Lynn and Maya are who we thought Lynn and Maya were going to be like you said Randy and it's been a joy to watch I don't understand Lynn's swing at all like I don't understand how it works

makes me uncomfortable she hit I mean the drive that she hit on 16 on stand it was like there's water up the right there's wind off the right and she hits just this towering. Her partner hits a bad drive left. Yeah. And then she hits this just towering, towering draw at the water and, you know, draws it back into the fairway.

Like truly some pretty fearless stuff. And then Maya on 17 was just like it was a true force of nature. She just, she buried that putt and, and like she'd done all day. They're just such a good ham and egg crew. And like that was, that was some of the best golf I've watched. all year was the four of those players or three of those players playing, you know, 17 holes.

I totally agree. I came through that way on television, too. It just felt like it was a heavyweight battle. And I think the thing with Lynn that seeing Lynn play free, freed up, really good golf, like, oh, man. It's frustrating almost, right? It's a little frustrating if you let yourself think about, you know, her wider last however many seasons in tournament golf. But it's still like T.C. there's something there. Like she is capable of really, really good golf.

And it was just, yeah, it was a joy to watch. You could tell her and Maya were just feeding off of one another. And that's, as you said, to take nothing away from Megan and Lauren. Like they were, they were game. They were, they were, it just was, this was really good team golf at a high level. Megan had a, we were over to the right on eight, the short par four. And Megan's kind of short-sided, like big mound in front of her and then a bunker and then a mound on the backside of the bunker, green running away from her.

And she hit one of the nastiest blops I've seen in a long time. That's the sickest sound to it. I could hear it from 30 yards away, just the thump on it. It was sick. I think with both Maya and Lynn, it's now, it moves into that, like, I now view you differently as a golfer, having watched you up close and personal in this format of like the same way I do some of these like European, like the guys on the European men's side that like don't have like the greatest track record. But when you get him in a matchplay situation, you're just like, well, how are you going to beat that guy? How are you going to beat that girl? like how like how are you going to get around her that's what they felt like today they just felt like

stalwarts like felt like you like this is a problem for you i don't know if you have anything you can put up that is going to beat this duo right now and that's a lot of how i felt watching lynn in spain in 23 so that's that's always colored my judgment of of her as a player of like i know that's in there and it just there's something about match play and team golf that it gets it out versus a Buf 72 whole stroke play event. Real quick, I feel like we have this conversation

an awful lot. And I understand that the lead person of this duo tends to be Lynn. Maya starts off. Major champion. She's gotten 10 times. We talk about like a player.

Yeah. Like we talk about Lynn like and I understand she is capable of so much more. But like, I think this partnership is there because Maya always is there. Always is backing Lynn up. And like when there needs to be a shot that is hit or a put,

Maya is there and it seems like Maya is the one to do it. It was awesome so far this tournament because it's like, come on, Lynn. Like she did it. She followed through except for this hole. This was stinky. Maya is a very, at 16. I think you had a great second shot in here.

Big high draw. Released a little bit too far. Yeah. And then the pitiful, pitiful putt up here. Maya is a smart goal. for like she knows I think she's really cerebral with like the shots that she hits and I think some of it's just like having enough confidence in herself right it's like if you talk to people out here and they're they're kind of like man like Maya just doesn't like she's not confident enough and optimistic enough like you're one of the best players in the world but it's also this the beauty of this format is like dude like here is here is the task today it is not a 72 hole shrink in the sample side you know marathon run here it is like you got to go win like some holes early you're like you're going to go win like some holes early you're in this match. And hit specific shot. Yeah. Yeah. And that's what makes it just that

much more entertaining, I think. But moving through the rest of the matches, we talked about Ulemy and Andrea already against Lottie and Charlie. That US won. That one won up. Rose Zang and Austin Kim against Nastasia Nadeau and

Leona McGuire. US won this one. Three and two, Rose had a really nice afternoon. Leona made an eagle on the eighth hole. That was kind of one of her few highlights there. and the dough was kind of out on her own in that match again didn't get to see a lot of that one in person I don't think this wasn't much on TV either Randy

I'm not sure if you saw much of this one but no not as much either you know when the dough I think was the one that hit a great shot into 15 made birdie you know to cut it still to three this this one felt like a foregone conclusion

for a while Rose played like really good golf and I'm we need to keep pros away from Cupcho like we said. That's just it just doesn't work in my opinion. And then as mentioned at the start of the show Cup Show Jennifer Cup Show

and Lindy Duncan against Carlotta Saganda and Salini Boudier. US miraculously wins that one up. Cupcho makes a bomb on 17 to win that hole and then drain a put on 18 as well. Just an incredible way to end the team portion. And that's immediately after Carlota Birdie's 13 and 14, which are two like good par fours, just kind of side by side there. And then they're in total control.

And she might as well have crotch shopped on 14 after she made the pot. It's like through the putter down as if it was to crunch the match. I was like, wait, I think that takes him to two of. And then they get to 15T. and both of them hit these like slinging draws to a left pin wind off the like in off the right and and both of them rinsed their shots and it's like it was just a bizarre sequence of events from there uh carlota hit a like she she had really good drive on 16 really good second shot makes the birdie and then

yeah and then 17 happens so just the like one of the crazier reversals I've ever seen in that seriously. Truly, I don't, I can't recall one on top of my head that reverse that quickly and that dramatically at the very end from a, from a loss to a win, not even a loss to a half. But again, yeah, we talked about this at the beginning, but how does it really make you feel? That had to hurt. Yeah, I mean, like, I, like, yeah, just her facial expressions piss me off. It's like watching.

It's like Patrick Cantley, yes, combined with, like, if you hated, it's like Patrick Cantley with like a little bit of Patrick Reid sprinkled it. That's exactly the conversation I was going to bring up big. I met him on the back of 15 green and I'm like, yo, like I can't believe she's doing this TC and he's like, I know, man, it's crazy. Like it reminds me a little bit of Pee, a little bit of a cantley. And I'm like, dude, I was, I was thinking like Pete Reed. Like, she's kind of like doing it. Like, it's really good. Yeah, well, she shushed the crowd on, uh, 10, I think, Cupcho did. And it was like, huh? The crowds are amazing. That aged well.

At the time I was like, I know. I should not be more positive. Like, clapping for good shots on both sides. And like, like, shout out to the crowds on 12,

where like that pin was tucked over on the left. And they were reacting to the trajectory of the shots before they would even land of knowing like, all right, this is going to be a good one. There's a buzz. There's a buzz. And then they would know.

But like across the course, you can tell that, Because after you've been to the hole, you know, you see a shot from behind. Like they're hitting from the fairway. And you hear the crowd make that noise. And the ball does get very close. And then when we leave that spot, we could hear that whole process all over again. Because they were just absolute knowers, man.

And like you said, I was really impressed when the U.S. did some pretty heroic stuff in spots of just like the fans clapping and cheering for it was like pretty genuine of just like appreciation of some really good. shots and like you know near the end like the point clenching ones it wasn't there wasn't a lot of cheering for it but like earlier on in the matches it was just a i yeah i can't i'm a broken record at this point but the environment and the atmosphere has just been it's been awesome it's just wildly positive like all around like everybody's in a good mood everybody's oh no man like it's it's it's randy like it's it's like the best elements of of the one i was had at inverness and the best elements of the one in Spain mixed with mixed with like what I love about a Walker cup yeah it's all of those things put together it's on a good golf course like venues do matter a lot

both for the golf itself but also for the vibes and in the TV and I know the drone shots look good and all of it so and the buildout I mean yeah and shout to Kyle Phillips like I know I know Kyle Phillips catches like sometimes we give him flackford don donald but like yoss links is cool It's always cool on TV. Big Cow Club fans. You know, like Kyle Phillips can cook when you give him some ingredients or just some sand to work with. I'll say this too. You know, I fancy myself to be like a grass guy.

You know, I love growing my Bermuda. This isn't a transition into an adtery for it. But in the Netherlands, it is illegal to use chemicals on your grass. There's zero fertilizer out here. So the fact that he can get this is this pure. every golf course that we've played this trip but specifically this a championship venue like it's so impressive

you can use natural fertilizer you can't use pesticide correct but like any other golf course in the world they're all so juiced up man yeah the fact that you can get it in this playing condition takes so much hard work dedication trial and air very good superintendent here expert

superintendent and staff and that some of the commentary has been about the airation holes on the green and that is again not a gronomists here but like the greens no one has said anything about the greens not rolling perfectly true that's this feske it's fescue and it's just the the plugs from where they had errated are the greenest spots but they are not spotty in the greens i did talk to some guys that said talked about the the lines of which on on these uh erration holes duke can throw you off on

on reading puts because like you're i you're literally seeing lines and it can but they're not totally straight either no yeah and so it that's that's really yeah but it is the is one of is extremely impressively conditioned golf course. And they're good speed for like, they're fast, but they're like, they're fast enough to where you're not having to jam it, but you're not having to worry about, you know, puts.

Yeah. We have been some people de-green themselves though. Yeah. So you do have that. Big ass slopes. Like there's a lot of side runoffs on these holes too. All right. Guys, we are 8-8. 8. What, before we get to quickly, before we look at singles, what would do? Like what, what's, what's, if you're on the European side, what do you, what are you doing?

What are you doing if you are in a Nordquist? Do we, do we have the captain's agreement that we're sending out? You're sending out all 12. Yeah. No, or just, hey, this is a side match.
