Happy Hour Edition.
TC is here.
Hello, TC.
Hey, Sali.
I got my lemon flavor today.
It's by far my favorite.
We're making lemonade at Valhalla, right?
Lemon's your favorite?
Oh, I love lemon.
It's so, it's the most underrated flavor there is.
Bold take there. Big Randy is here calling in from the Mountain Time Zone. Hello, I love lemon. It's so it's the most underrated flavor there is. Bold take their big Randy is here calling in from the
Mountain Time Zone. Hello, Mr. Big.
Hey guys, little, little early for me to be cracking the high
noons but cheers in spirit.
Big is just wait was that your first time you talked today? Is
it something the first time you just wake it up?
Yeah, sorry, little frog there.
The moment everyone has been waiting for is finally here.
The High Noon Pool Pack is back.
Grab a case, text the group,
and get your friends to the nearest pool.
It's only here for summer.
Now is the time to enjoy lime, peach,
and two limited edition flavors, guava and kiwi.
They happen to be my two favorite flavors.
I'm back on the guava this evening.
As always, the High Noon Pool Pack is made with real vodka
and real juice, has 100 calories, gluten-free,
no added sugar, you can go to highnoonspirits.com
to find it near you.
High Noon, sun's up, of course,
wanna give a shout out as well to our friends at Robac.
Spring is here, there's nothing better for the season
than Robac, they've been pumping out new designs
left and right, they're incredible,
beyond just the golf, They got bathing suits.
Of course, the performance poles,
you know all about them.
Moisture wicking, great stretch.
The collar is crisp.
Performance hoodies.
I wanna wear one on every single live show,
but I went with Q-zip today.
I don't give the Q-zips enough run
on the actual live show.
I wear them more out of the house
than I do around the house,
but they're fantastic.
They're soft, they're versatile, they're comfortable.
Great for playing golf.
They're also great for lounging around the house.
I don't know why I don't do this more often,
but if you haven't already, time to load up
on some Roeback, both for yourself and for others.
Code NLU at roeback.com for a generous 20%
off your first order through the end of this week.

hoodies and more with code NLU.
Support the partners, they're gonna be bringing you
a lot, a lot, a lot of content so far this week.
Happy hour edition, we're gonna get around
to a bunch of different stuff.
Try not to dive too deep into too many topics.
Hopefully you guys got a chance to read
Kevin Van Valkenberg's piece on Victor Hovland
that came out today.
He's gonna join us at some point in the show here
to talk a little bit about that and what it was like
digging into what Victor Hovland's got going on. We're gonna give you some holes to watch of course make our fan duel picks of the week
You know, we got a lot of important stuff to get to but the first most important thing we can possibly cover
TC how do you pronounce the name of the city that they're having the PGA championship in?
Sally I put this on the agenda because I don't know I wanted to hear you guys say is it is it
Lowell is it?
Louisville Lowell Randy, I'll go to you first cuz you you grew up the closest. It's not number one or number three
I'll tell you that cuz I don't know what the hell that was. We know it's not Louisville. There's actually I think it's a good joke
The joke goes, you know, how do you pronounce the capital of Kentucky?
Is it Louisville or Louisville and people are like, I don't know. They'll pick one you say actually it's a good joke. The joke goes, you know, how do you pronounce the capital of Kentucky? Is it Louisville or Louisville? And people are like, I don't know. They'll pick one. And you say, actually, it's Frankfurt. But Louisville, I think the key to Louisville is you just got to like, kind of like that frog in my throat at the beginning of the show, you just you pronounce the L and then you just try to swallow as many letters as possible.. So, uh we're're gonna start things with a little game, guys.
I just found four
somewhat interesting characters, players of some kind this week.
You know, could be somebody I think could have a chance to win, somebody maybe flying under the radar, somebody that's not flying under the radar.
But I just want to see if you guys can filter the way through and figure out who these players are. First one up.
Okay, I'm gonna give you five facts about this player. Can you tell me who this player is?
This is the easiest one, so I hope you get this one. I finished top five in majors six different times.
I'm in the 99th percentile in approach play from the fairway over 200 yards.
Andrew Schauffele.
Damn it. come on.
I mean, that was the easiest one.
I'm in the 96th percentile in approach
from the rough from over 150 yards.
My best finish in a PGA championship is tied for 10th
and I finished top 10 in the US Open
in six of the last seven years.
You know what that tells me, TC?
You have been listening when I've been using
my data golf stats to point that out about Xander. So thank you for. Sorry. I was I was gonna say zander even after you said the first
I didn't even need the second one. I just waited out of courtesy. Well, that's one point for TC zero for Randy
What what what percentile does Zander's dog rank?
12 percentile. It's 12th so far this year. Actually, it's down a little bit from 44th in a prior year
I got you guys. I want to I want to see data golf get into the baseball savant little sliders if
Baseball fans out there would know what I'm referring to
All right next up
I'm this is six different facts about this guy
I'm 99th percentile in approach play from over 150 yards out of the rough
Which I think will come into play this week.
I'm 98th percentile in approach play from under 150 out of the rough.
94th from the fairway over 200 yards, 92nd from 150 to 200. So a lot of major championship approach play bona fides.
I have 10 top 10s in majors and I'm 90 to 1 to win this week. Who am I?
So they're gonna get a little harder team Rose
No is not team Rose somebody we've talked a lot about a lot of me to one
Ten top 10s and majors, I don't know why I'm thinking
Ricky but
Tommy
no, he's not 91.
Large Tone, Milton Fienaul. Big Tone, big tone. 92 one to win
and some some strong supporting facts. Not been his best year.
Putter's not been very good. But just pointing that one out.
I'm glad I stumped you guys with that one
because that was jumping off a little bit to me.
All right, this one you only get four guesses,
four facts on this one, and this one is on the easier side
compared to that one.
I finished top five at Oak Hill last year.
I finished top five at Harding Park.
I'm plus 2,00 to win this week.
Cam Young?
Nope. And I'm data golf's number one course fit for Valhalla. I
get the biggest boost to my play.
Victor Holland.
To my playing profile at Valhalla. It is not how I'll
give you each one more guess if you want.
Colin Morikawa.
Not a bad guess. But
let's see if anybody
in the nobody in the chat. Uh
one person two people in the
chat. Uh three people in the
chat. A lot smarter than you
guys. Don't look at the chat.
You're not allowed to be
looking. Right? It's Bryson
DeChambeau is the answer to
that one. Oh, okay. Crushers.
Interesting. Interesting. Uh
last one again. Don't be
looking at the chat. Um I'm
eighty-two one to win this week. I've played in two PGA's and I finished runner
up in T eight. My average strokes gained in majors is a
half shot better per round than Brooks Koepke and only Scotty
and Tiger are better than me in majors on a per round basis.
Eighty to one. Eighty to one. Mito Pereira. What was the score? 80 to 180
to one. Me to Pereira. Weird
weird guest. It's all very
wrong. What what what was this
week? Is he talking about? What
I was going off over the
finishing one. He's played in
like two and he's finished
runner up in something else.
Runner up. Two has gotta be. Yeah, that's why I was thinking me Maybe love because this is his first loving second major total ever cam young. How many has he played in?
The answer to be cam youngers ala torres, it's ala torres is the answer
Willie Z obviously the injuries, you know causing a bit of problems, you know with him
But again just those just four guys that I that I that were there were jumping off on some
facts there. To me, so always a fun game. It's fun to watch you
guys work through that. A couple of news stories of the week.
First one off the top, of course, the biggest news of the
week that Rory McElroy has filed for divorce from his wife,
Erica. This news came out on Monday, Monday or Tuesday,
or it was yesterday, actually. So it was on Tuesday. What guys
I find this one tough to react to and talk about. It's
obviously a big story to the press conference today was, you
know, he requested that he was not going to speak on it. And
his statement yesterday said he was not gonna not going to
speak on it. And his press conference was short today was
about half the length of other press conferences from what I read.
But does this mean anything for this championship?
What's your guys' kind of reaction to this?
It's obviously weird when you, we're not gonna dive deep on this.
We're not gonna speculate on all this.
And it's a weird one to glance past, but
I'm just kind of curious if you guys have anything to add on this.
I think, I mean, it's easy to say, Oh my God, like, what does this change for this
week? I mean, clearly he's been, this is something that's been percolating for a while and like in
his personal sphere. So it's, you know, maybe it's, maybe it's a good thing for this week. Maybe it's
a relief for him. Maybe it feels like a sense of finality. I don't know. I don't want to psychoanalyze
him, but all I'm saying is it's like, this isn't something new that he's considering this week. It's it's been, you know,
obviously, I would assume going on in the background for, for a
while now, unless, you know, I doubt he just woke up on Monday
was like, you know what, I don't like you. I want a divorce. So
yeah, I mean, you know, we've talked about how it affects the
block party. All those guys, I think if anything, it's like the course is
going to feel like a refuge for him this week to feel like a safe haven. He's coming off
of a win. Obviously all this stuff was going on. He was at Quail Hollow too, you know,
and he played well. So and all that goes without saying like the obvious personal considerations
of all this. It's you know, we're not going to cycle analyze that or, or, or break that down and, and, and talk about that here.
We're a golf show, but, uh, you know, it is, it is radio.
Anything to add on top of what TC pointed out?
No, I was biting my tongue.
I was going to insert a Caroline Wozniacki joke about Rory.
Maybe he did just wake up and decide that, um,
well that happened the last time.
I know that's what I mean.
That's what I mean.
Yeah.
You feel for the kid. Obviously there's what I mean. Yeah, you feel
for the kid. Obviously, there's a kid involved. So that is just another consideration. But
obviously, I don't know anything. And so I nothing really bad here. Sorry.
I would say only other thing that just shout out all like the ghoulish ghoulish posts from like
golf week. It was like, Hey, like, yeah, like, bad news. But here's here's 10 pictures of
them, you know, during their marriage having fun. It was
like the thing that they posted from like the the, you know,
FedEx, St. Jude classic, where it was like, oh, like, here's,
here's a bunch of kids, you know, having fun, but they're
also they have cancer, you know, it's like, what are you guys
doing?
I feel like we were are weirdly back in a 2014 time warp. Over
this past like we're going back to Valhalla. It just feels like
that was a very 2014 golf digest move of doing a slideshow of
them over the years. But we'll cover this a little bit later.
You know, Jimmy Dunn announced he was leaving the board of the
PGA Tour. Big item on the agenda. We got to you know,
address one of the biggest news items of the PGA tour. Big item on the agenda, we gotta address
one of the biggest news items of the week.
Tiger just got a goatee.
Is he pulling it off?
Like is this working for Cat or does it date him
a little bit, Randy?
Listen, I don't think it's terrible.
I don't think it's his best look.
So I'm somewhere in between, which is, I feel like,
almost the worst place to be for anybody. Um, it's it's fine. It's, uh,
you know, I don't know, Tigers not the most fashionable guy. So I
feel like everything he does is just kind of like, Yeah, yeah,
maybe, you know, maybe. But, yeah, I don't know, either get it
really full and thick and give us something to really work with
or let's just shave it and go back
to kind of how we know Tiger.
He could be prepping for Mac Daddy Santa.
Which that's true.
And you know, maybe it's Mac Daddy Santa in July.
Who knows?
But yeah, I think he's gotta decide.
Really, are we keeping it or is it going? Cause right now it's in that. He cut himself shaving, I think he's got to decide really, are we are we keeping it or is it going? Because
right now it's not himself shaving, I think, you know, which was, you know, that's not
good. But yeah, he looks like he's, you know, he's just deep in a midlife crisis, right?
He's got his new Sunday red thing. He's got all that. It's just, you know, he's got all
his board responsibilities now. I feel like my guy's midlife crisis is going on a decade now
It's sick
He doesn't want to be Ryder Cup captain because you don't have time
It's a lot of time to go to Home Depot. It's just a really busy Saturday
A little bit on the golf course guys. We talked a lot of a haul in our preview here You know, we didn't get into too much detail hole by hole
I just want to I want to know what hole for each of you has you the most excited to watch for whatever reason
This week it's a no not the most architecturally sound golf course not gonna be the most inspirational golf course
We all think at least I'm of the belief that it's gonna provide a good stage for a championship
For a variety of reasons here, even if it's not my favorite style of architecture, but TC
What's a hole that's got you excited to watch some golf this week?
13.
It's just, it's so outrageous.
Like it's, it doesn't even, it looks like something out of golden tea.
Uh, like the, like the green is so unnaturally raised.
You got that rock wall.
The water don't really make sense.
Uh, you know, like having bunkers 40 yards into the rough on top of other bunkers. Uh, I did the whole by whole of the fall.
And I'm like, like, yeah, man, like there's some cool stuff out there.
And I'm excited to see some of these guys hit their shots, but also I'm like, man, there's
some bad golf really, really bad shaping.
I do remember though, from like 2000, was that the, or
I guess 96, like whenever we first saw Valhalla this hole,
because it was so much like golden tee, I think I kind of
like melted my mind. You know, there was a time when I was
like, oh my, like, this is the coolest golf hole. Yeah.
That that and then there's like the the alternate fairway. What's that on seven or seven the par five? Yeah. And
even like that little alternate landing area on 18. Like I think
18 is objectively like a great finishing. I do too. I do too.
But going back to what we talked about earlier this week on the
preview show, like, I feel like I'm watching a member like a
member guest with a bunch of fans at Valhalla where it
just looks like somewhere that you would see in your town. It's Nicholas design. You would see it
in your town and it looks outrageous. Yeah. 13 does crack me up, man. It's a tough week for the
discourse, right? I mean, there are a ton of fans, probably a ton of listeners to this show and
a ton of people tuning in to watch on television that don't share the same
architectural interests that a lot of us do in watching competitive golf.
That we'll have no idea why there might be critiques of this golf course.
And we just gotta kind of ride with it this week.
Again, I'm still very excited for this championship.
It just, this-
It's not about the canvas.
It's about the paint this week.
You know?
Ooh, I like that.
Feel me?
Feel me on that, Randy?
I feel you, Butch.
I'm gonna go to the very next hole, TC.
Another sound.
I think this is a really sound golf hole.
The tee has gone back on the 14th hole, the par three.
It plays a little bit uphill. I believe it's like
255 yards with a, you know, kind of a cant, kind of an opening near the front left of the green, kind of canting, you
know, towards the back right part of the green. Here, you know, the more you try to bite off, the tougher the carry down
that right side. And you can't just bomb it long left because there's bunkers that back there. It's just really really difficult hole
And it's it's I don't know. I'm I really enjoyed I got to play here five years ago with DJ We went and and played here in the fall and this was like one of the most thrilling shots to hit on the course
And I like a reverse radan kind of a little bit. I mean a little bit
It's you got to hit the right number. You got it hit the ball high
I mean, I'm guessing we see some seven woods on this hole this
week. I'm assuming it's gonna be somewhat of a popular play because I think that's what the club they're trying to put in
there because it's playing longer now than it has in the past. And gosh, it's just a nowhere to hide, you know, long par three
back nine par three. So it's been a it's been a key hole in the past. If you rewatch any of the prior the 2000 and 2014
It's been a keep hole in the past. If you rewatch any of the prior, the 2000 and 2014 Ryder Cup,
or I'm sorry, 2008 Ryder Cup, 2014 PGA,
it's been a pretty decisive hole.
Kind of like the way 17 at Whistler and Straits plays,
both in PGA's and Ryder Cup as well.
You gotta hit one last big long iron on the back nine.
Not a lot of variety out there.
No, there's not.
This would be, listen, this would be maybe the fifth worst hole on a more architecturally styled golf course. That's fine, there's not. This would be listen. This would be the maybe the fifth worst hole on a you know more
architecturally sound golf course, but that's fine. That's
fine. We're fine. We're moving past it. Randy, what else got
you excited? Well, I thought this was kind of a one hole
draft and TC got thirteen at you know number one so uh pretty
quick. Yeah, I went I went though with with hole number number four and
I wanted to shout out a couple things one. It's a shorter par four, which is gonna be rare out here this week
The scoring average in 2014 was like three point seven three one. So definitely a birdie hole
Mine that bird. I wanted to give a shout out to these whole names. Mine that bird TC.
I don't know if you remember the 2009 Kentucky Derby
when mine that bird was a 50 to one long shot.
Calvin Burrell was the jockey.
Had trouble getting out of the gates,
was like eight paces behind the rest of the field
and ends up winning by nearly seven lengths.
That was an awesome,
awesome Kentucky Derby. I remember mine that bird, I think two dollars would have won you like
a hundred and three dollars on a win. So I love the name of the hole. I think it's an aptly named
hole in the sense that, hey, the fourth hole, good birdie chance. You can potentially get your round
the fourth hole, good birdie chance. You can potentially get your round out and running.
You can get downhill a little bit as you go into the meat
and the teeth of the rest of the golf course.
So wanted to shout that one out.
Four was on my list too, Randy.
And that's when they moved up on Saturday in 2014
and made a drivable.
Yeah.
And it's kind of one final day on Valhalla,
if you'll just let me.
One of my favorites is when they just take like a
relatively bland hole and move the tee up and call it a great
drivable par four just because it's drivable. I hope they do
it again. But it was like a three wood to the green and
Rory actually surprising because that's kind of normally like
Nicholas's calling card. He's made some really good short
floors. That's that's one of the things he does quite well at a variety of his courses.
Yeah.
While we bring in, make a quick call to the bullpen for some
middle relief, maybe get a couple innings here out of him.
Neil wanted to be here. Sorry. It's not Neil calling in here.
It's KVV. Neil wanted to be here, but he is setting up for
the block party. It's a different, like he said, a
different vibe to the party. So it takes an extra day of setting up but he will be hot in
his stripper pole this hi hi haters who expecting Neil it's just me
real quick he qualified for the was it the Met public no the public publics
yeah the Met publics in New York this morning, which is discriminatory because they
don't allow and allow TC to play certain people's floods.
It's just Chris. Well, it's funny because I think Neil, you
know, he plays all his golf around New York at the Tony
private country club.
Well, great, great shout out. Great shout out to the old
guys. KVV. Welcome. Yeah, I think he is here to talk to us a bit about, again, I mentioned off
the top, he wrote an incredible long form feature on Victor
title Victor Hovland is searching for his old self. Look,
how did this piece kind of evolve from the time you decide
you want to write about Hovland to the time we published it,
Kevin?
You know, way back when Victor was like a top three player in
the world, we were kicking around ideas in the fall, uh, kind of certainly after the FedEx cup and
going to the Ryder Cup.
And, uh, I think all of us were sort of in some of those discussions like, boy,
you know, I feel like I don't know quite enough about Victor Hovland.
It'd be great to sort of profile him.
And so I was like, basically I'm going to shadow him at the Ryder Cup a bunch
and just try to build some scenes and we'll, you know, get this piece out at
some point, uh,
before one of the majors in the spring and man did it change dramatically over
the course of the time that, uh, we were following him around.
It quickly became clear even at Pebble, uh, when we were first sort of, you know,
connected when I went up to him and asked him, you know,
I'd love for you to talk about this. Uh, and it was clear he had a lot going on.
He was struggling pretty hard initially already with, you
know, coming off being so good to all of a sudden like
spending five and six hours on the range just didn't make a
lot of sense. And kind of a light bulb started to go off in
my head and be like, Whoa, this is a different story than what I
thought it was going to be. This is someone who is very much
still searching for something. So that's kind of what the
beginning of the evolution of it.
Anything, anything in there, you know, once you started reporting that the kind of surprised you,
I mean, you uncovered a lot of nuggets. And I don't want to spoil the whole thing that people
haven't read. But first interview that Joe Mayo has done since he and Victor Hovland split up,
Randall Chambliss drops some heat in there on instruction in general, and kind of just the
art of instruction. Yeah. Anything, anything that, that's what surprised you most?
Honestly, it was that Hava, excuse me, that Mayo was willing to talk,
was willing to sort of explain his side of things.
And really instead of a sort of a hit them up situation,
pointed the finger back at himself and said,
I have to do a lot of reflection. And I think I'm a big reason why, you know,
Victor wanted to part ways because I'm a lot, I'm intense.
He compared himself to Bobby Knight said,
is kind of like players playing in Indiana
and just sort of said,
it's a lot to take over the course of a year.
I'm too intense.
And I've realized that about myself.
And in a lot of ways that felt like way more interesting
than if he had been sort of, you know, shitty to Victor,
if he had been fighting over money,
he's, you know, he swore up and down.
There was absolutely none of that.
And so I think the best stories, I think,
are always kind of nuanced.
They're really not black and white.
And that's where I think they could both look at this situation
and see that they were both a little bit to blame
for the current situation and the state of Victor.
Do you think, like, is Victor too far gone? Like is it is a is this a slump or is and and he'll be fine or is he is he gone? Like what do you think?
I think my number one pick. I actually don't think he's gone. I think you know he was in a bad space as of even a week ago. Even after the piece came out I had a sort of a one of our Norwegian followers send me a LinkedIn interview where he's basically like, I'm my swing is just
garbage. It's totally lost. I feel completely lost. I was like, man, I would have loved
to have seen that like before we ran this piece, but it's almost like confirms, you
know, everything that I've heard. But I do think I actually think I have a little bit
of tough, sort of updated news here. I got a text from someone, uh, and I got it confirmed just about a few
minutes ago that he and Mayo are actually working together again.
They were spotted at Summerlin just yesterday, uh, working for hours and
hours, uh, that they have sort of reconnected and they're sort of, you
know, trying to figure this out.
So, uh, it's, that's kind of a wild sort of thing considering you know, the the state of things that have gone
on in the last few months and how quickly Victor bounces from
place to place. But I think you know, they were so good together
that it wouldn't be surprised if they had a good you know, if he
had a good tournament this week, just because it's like getting
tapping into some of those old good vibes. Wait, well, that's
breaking breaking news together. That's truly breaking news.
Literally just got it confirmed like probably a minute before we jumped on the air here.
Who knew we could start breaking news like this on a live show? Oh, hold on. Was he not at Valhalla
practicing? He was not at Valhalla at the first part of the week. He was out in Vegas working,
you know, not allegedly like working with Mayo. So according to several people who saw him practicing
with Mayo, KVV, I had a question. Uh, you know, these, these long form pieces,
they obviously take a lot of time, a lot of reporting and for somebody like
Victor, so much can change any day as we just learned, you know, late breaking.
Yeah. Uh, did you feel like there was anything left?
Let's call it like a director's cut.
Did, did anything get left on the, on the, on the cutting room floor?
And if so, anything to share that would be pertinent, uh, for the happy hour, at
least.
Yeah.
I mean, I think a lot of times with these stories, what's the most important is to
sort of understand that they, they can't be about 10 things.
They need to be about like one or two things at most.
That's important.
You're telling a story here.
But I did hear throughout the sort of course of this reporting a lot of discussion about
just how angry Victor was when the framework agreement was announced.
And there was this sort of call amongst the players that he was like visibly upset in
a way that I think three different people confirmed it that he was just like almost shouting at the various people about how angry he was and frustrated was.
And it wasn't because he sort of I think felt like he wanted to go to live and he had missed out on a bunch of money, but because he felt this real sense of betrayal from the leadership and was just so pissed about having, you know, any of their sort
of power taken away from them or their sort of, you know, ability to make their own decisions in
this stuff. I've heard from a couple of people that he's just not interested in the live stuff
that, you know, this could easily come back to bite me saying this, but this is what I have heard
is that he very much dislikes it every time somebody floats a rumor that he's tired of tired of denying it. And that he just really wants to frickin
play golf. Like all he cares about is like playing good golf
in history. He truly doesn't care about money. He's all out
of history books to read. So, you know, it's I think it's an
interesting insight into who he is. Now, does that mean he'll,
you know, wouldn't entertain live probably not. I think we've
seen that from people who've said this, but privately he's telling
people he just he absolutely loathes it and just wants to
figure out how to like win golf tournaments again. And to him,
that's like 72 old stroke play events.
He should get the Norwegian sovereign wealth funds to create
a rival lively.
Do you think that has got some some wind power that they can
throw behind this in their investments?
No, they got a lot of wind power.
Massive sovereign wealth.
I've been deep on my guy's podcast.
The head of the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund has a podcast and he has all sorts of
business leaders and luminaries on.
TC, you are so connected to the world stage.
I'm so appreciative of this. TC, these guys keep out themselves as not trap draw listeners, you know?
I hate it.
Incredible.
I try to keep up. I'm too busy like, you know, trying to script my own episodes of the trap
draw here and there. I feel like, you know, we need maybe weekly chop sessions for me to stay in
form. Yeah, yeah. Nobody.
We're gonna be on for another 30.
I got one thing before he gets out of here. Kev, this is the first time that I've ever seen
any sort of long form or feature written piece take place and being able to like see you put
all of these ingredients together and come up with it. At first, I thought you were like just
borderline stalking Vic because you're, you say that he was on the driving range for hours and
hours and hours. You would just stand behind him like a
Dog just stalking him waiting. You never know. Is this caddy gonna turn around and make eye contact?
Is he gonna turn around or any of these, you know the rest of the entourage or anything else?
I it's like a lot pray that like their vision was based on movement
So we like if they wasn't looking he would get a step closer and then just like a step closer
But never when they were looking at you
and just kept getting closer and closer.
It takes a, that's a really great point, Cody.
It was truly impressive watching you put this whole thing
together and something that I've learned a ton from.
And you know, that's why you got your big J, you know,
card and the rest of us don't because I'm just shocked
at like, wow, this is what really good written work
looks like and this is the time it
takes to put into it. Well, thanks God. You gotta be able
to live in uncomfortable spaces and sometimes that's just
like waiting out people who you know kind of don't wanna talk
to you and you're basically like yeah, I'm not leaving until
you turn around and make eye contact with me and so you know
what Pebble I was I was there for basically probably two
three hours like standing around like I take a little, like standing around, like I'd take a little
walk here and there, but I'd always come back to him. I mean,
you have to get any more coffee. No, yeah, just keep standing
there. If you're going to write 6000 words about somebody, you
have to give them the chance to, to speak on it to participate in
it. And he basically was like, Yeah, you know, I don't, I don't
really want to, I'm not really interested in the moment. You
know, kind of maybe kind of go through
my agency if you're interested and they made it clear that he was not taking any interview requests. So he was super polite and I told him, look, I'm going to write the story whether you participate
or not. So just wanted to give you a heads up. And he's like, well, I respect that. Thank you for
coming up to me and stuff. And I don't think there's anything that he would find upsetting
in the story. I think it's all true. It's all based on conversations I've had with lots of people
and he's an intense person.
I think the really insightful quote in there, Rory said,
everybody thinks he's like this happy-go-lucky jolly guy.
And like, that's true,
but he also has this super intense side in him.
And the difference between most people
is that they're either one or the other.
It's rare for someone to have both.
Like they're a good person and they're also a killer. KVV tells this story on the trap draw owners episode that drops
overnight tonight about waiting out Sammy Sosa at spring training one year. So what I mean,
Sosa blew you off like six days in a row or something. That is correct. Yes. Did he pretend
he didn't speak English when you when you finally got him?
He Yeah, listen to the chapter. It's a good one. But at the end of it does involve him almost giving me the Heisman right to
the face.
Well, congratulations, good Kevin. Thanks for all the hard
work that went into that. And if you haven't already got a
chance to read that, please go ahead and find that on no
laying up.com. And we'll see you later this week. As we cover
the PGA. Take care.
Thanks, guys.
There is a lot to not like about wearing sunscreen
on the golf course.
It gets on your hands, it compromises your grip,
your hands get all slippery,
your skin feels greasy and sticky,
you smell like a banana.
It's a pain to carry around.
It might spill all over your golf bag.
It stings when it drips in your eye.
Keep going.
But I won't.
Because Orz and Alps has made
it their mission to create sunscreen that eliminates those
problems. Golfers are 250% more likely to get skincare. So this
kind of stuff matters. Arm yourself this season with
sunscreen that's designed for the course with hands-free
spray options, lightweight and fast absorbing formulas,
refreshing scents and travel sizes. You'll actually look
forward to using them for a limited time to get 15% off
Ores and Alps entire line of powerful clean sunscreen and
skincare with code nlu 15. Again, that's nlu 15 for to get
15% off Ores and Alps entire line of clean sunscreen. We
thank them for sponsoring
guys. I mean, I got to use sunscreen. You know, I got to use a whole bottle of sunscreen
every time I sunscreen, not shampoo. That's how you travel TC. And I want to say 250% more likely
to get skin cancer, not to actually purchase the skincare line. So just, yeah, just want to make
sure that this is how important it is. We play, we love this game, we're outside all the time. Protect yourself people.
Why not do it with something that smells good and overall is as clean as it possibly can be for you.
If you're sticking your neck out like KVV, make sure that you got sunscreen on that neck.
Protect your neck.
Protect your neck. We got some fun, interesting kind of pre-tournament quotes going around. I don't really really want to
relitigate much of the live conversation as it relates to this, but I gotta say having a live
from a live desk on site to kind of react to live press conferences and stuff led to some really good
content from John Robb's presser. He said, I see you guys keep saying the other side, but I'm still
a PGA Tour member whether suspended or not
I still want to support the PGA Tour and I think that's an important distinction to make I don't feel like I'm on the other side
I'm just not playing there
Which led a man Lynch to say it's not often you hear the arsonists give advice to the
Firefighters on how to extinguish the blaze and start asking when they can move back in the house
Really enjoyed that quote from Aiman. And then Aaron Oberholzer. Aaron Oberholzer is mad as
hell, Randy. He's mad. Yeah, he is. I think we got the clip here if we could play Aaron's reaction.
Reaction. He doesn't get it. He's to this day, he doesn't get it. And this is a guy who wanted a
position or wanted to be heard, from I understand either a board position policy board
he wanted to be heard on this whole thing before he went to live and
I feel like he wasn't as heard as much as he probably should have been and now I'm glad he wasn't in that position
Because he doesn't get it as a PGA Tour player and as a PGA Tour member
Still a card-carrying PGA Tour member and someone. As a PGA Tour player, and as a PGA Tour member,
still a card-carrying PGA Tour member,
and someone who supports the PGA Tour,
not happy with what's going on right now, obviously,
but supports the PGA Tour,
I'm incensed by that, quite honestly,
by the level to your point of naivete,
that you don't get it.
You still don't get it. You still don't get it.
You took 500 large, and then you're gonna sit there
and tell me, oh, you still feel like a PGA Tour member,
I wanna support the PGA Tour, and I want the P...
I mean, I wanna ring his neck through the television.
I'm that mad right now, I'm that mad.
I mean, and every player in that locker room right now,
if they watch that, should be on the
PGA tour, should be absolutely incensed with him.
Oh, God.
This quote, this quoted the chat from Pbop33 is Oberholzer gonna have to choke a bitch?
Randy, you had a pretty good, pretty good point though.
It is more often than you think that the arsonist does get does get asked.
Yeah, yeah, I tried. I was like, well, that's the way our
financial systems worked here in the United States for, for as
long as I can remember. But yeah, I mean, what a reaction
there. So you're exactly right. We don't get that type of
candor.
That's content right there, baby. That's good content. Yeah. Yeah.
I don't even care if you don't agree with Aaron on that. Like
that's content. Have a take. Don't suck. Get in there in out
get grab bonk hit people with it hard. Maybe don't threaten to
put your hands around a guy's neck. I maybe I wouldn't have
gotten that far. That's sick. Maybe it wouldn't have gotten
that far. But that was a great, great bit. and just having everybody around the desk to react to it.
Like, again, we don't need to litigate.
I think we probably know where most of us dead out all that, but that was,
that was good content.
That stuff too. That stuff stems from having people on site, right?
It stems from, you know, like you said, solid had like, you know,
that energy and that sense of, of excitement, you know, being there.
Uh, I also hope, I hope Oberholzer wants to put his
hands around Monahan's neck too. Like I hope that's, you know, he's not, he's mad as hell about
what's going on with the PGA tour as well. So hopefully that's, that's translating through the
global home too, because, you know, you can be mad at Rom, but you know, Rom also, you know,
left for a particular set of reasons as well. Anti-Faldo's tweet, Rom on the PGA tour. Frankly, you can be mad at Rom but you
have a pre tournament quote that was that was that was well quickly went into it's on the the the news that Jimmy Dunn said there's been no meaningful progress made on the dividing Gulf right now. What's your level of confidence that the agreement will get done at all,
much less on any kind of schedule. Tiger. I think,
I think we're working on negotiations with PIF it's ongoing. It's fluid.
It changes day to day. I love that TC. That's, you know,
that's our go-to on the chop session. We're monitoring.
Things are moving quickly. Uh. Has there been progress?
Yes, Tiger says, but it's an ongoing negotiation.
So a lot of work ahead.
We're making steps and it may not be giant steps,
but we're making progress.
And then it kind of gets into, okay, Tiger,
just following up on that, he's asked,
specific things that you would like to see for a deal
to go ahead and are you personally open to a deal
with the Saudis to which Tiger said,
well, I'm not going to comment on whether or not our negotiations and in that nature,
except that we're making steps. That's all I can say. And then he was asked, are you personally
open to it? Tiger Woods says, I'm personally involved in the process. So it's just again,
like, yes, Tiger, thank you. Thank you for telling us nothing and telling us everything that we already knew
He just he's a treat not in the sense that he's giving us anything really but just his whole you know
It's whole deal up there. I forget who in our slack city treats a press conference
Like I think it was Kevin said he treats like it's a deposition. It's like
That's pretty perfect. Exactly. Just trying to be Ranger Rick out there in the
boardroom. That's what it is. He loves giving us quotes to about
like the most obvious things about golf of like, yeah, just
can't like walk four rounds. It's like, well, that's kind of
a prerequisite to playing tournament golf. It's like, yeah,
just I mean, it's so competitively rusty. It's like,
yeah, but you don't play any tournaments. Of course, you're
competitively rusty, man. What'd you think was gonna don't play any tournaments. Of course, you're competitively
rusty, man. What'd you what'd
you think was gonna happen
here? I which did you feel like
that was a big deal because he
did say he uh I feel like for
him to even acknowledge that
there's he's he's not as sharp
as he wants to be. I I forget
his exact wording in that part
but um I feel like we're
starting to see a little shift
in Tiger. We're like old Tiger
never would have even given us
that much vulnerability. I don't think going back. That's where I say like go
play Harbor town. Go play colonial courses. You can actually walk.
TCs he's he's he doesn't have any time. He's got no time. It's busy.
He's in all these board meetings. TC. What was the most interesting pre
tournament quotes for you?
I thought speed speed and Max both had interesting stuff.
Speeth was saying like, oh, like things are actually going great, guys.
Like, everybody keeps painting it like they're not going great, but they're going great.
Like, and you know, if everybody would just shut up.
So then that led into Max saying some things.
I felt like he was, there was some some sub-tweeting there of us or, you know, other people in
the media of, you know of how golf's doing great.
I read it, he did make a point to say professional golf's not doing great.
We need to get some of these people kind of in the boat with golf and then we'll get
them on to professional golf once everything gets solved.
So I appreciated that.
But I did think Max had, hey, he said something about he doesn't think the public should know who the
player directors on the board are, which I thought was really
interesting.
And then he just met like, you guys shouldn't be like talking
this shouldn't be like front of mind in your guys world, like
this should be taken care of behind the scenes. Like this
shouldn't be like your concern as to who's coming on the board
who's who's coming off. Honestly, like it wouldn't be a big concern behind the scenes. Like, this shouldn't be like your concern as to who's coming on the board who's who's
coming off.
And honestly, like it wouldn't be a big concern if the tour had
any sort of communication strategy or just any sort of
competence at all. And like people were like, Oh, you know
what, like they got it handled. We don't need to talk about
this. We'll talk about the golf. It's the opposite, right. So,
but I thought Max had something really prescient to say about the atmosphere and the identity
of the PGA Championship as far as how it relates to the other majors and the setup and the
identity that it's taken on.
He said, yeah, I like it.
It's actually the old model of the US Open, but a bit easier.
Typically it hasn't been super firm.
From tee to green, it's incredibly similar to what the old US Opens were. Maybe a little bit more forgiving fairways, but really thick rough. A lot
of drivers that need to be in the fairways, it feels like to score. The biggest difference is it
feels like at PGA's, you're in the fairway, you can score. You can go pretty low. The US Opens
gone to a slightly different model, which I like. They have kind of leaned into firm
and fast.
A lot more strategy.
So a lot more fairway grass, a lot more strategy. I feel like the PGA's don't, in a way, don't
have as much strategy, but it tests skill a lot. You really need to strike the ball
well, kind of get away with it, even at the US Open, because it's so hard that that skill
almost shifts to short game and
patience and a grinder mentality.
So I thought that was interesting where he said basically it's an execution test.
It's not a strategy or like a fully rounded golf test, which I think speaks to like, you
know, some of Brooks, right?
Of like Brooks is really good at hitting the shots at hand, right?
Seems like seems like Vic might be another candidate for that as well. Like just hitting the shots at hand, right? It seems like Vic might be another candidate
for that as well, like just hitting the shots in front of you.
Maybe Ludwig, you know?
So, you know, and I think Rory's gotten better
at strategy over the years, but you know,
this kind of speaks to some of his success
at PGA championships prior was, you know,
just pin your ears back, hit it really far, you know, probably gonna
be in the fairway and then if your approach game's tidy, you're gonna play well.
So yeah, it's it's I mean, what would you say is like 75% at least of golf watchers
probably don't care if it's a strategic test or a, you know, execution test?
Probably.
I mean, again, that's the stuff like we geek out about a lot,
but I'm guessing a lot of people are gonna tune in
or probably won't, you know, won't hear that
and hear something that like makes it,
it's not nails on a chalkboard to me,
but it's kind of like, that's exactly
literally what we're talking about.
Totally, it's a bummer.
And I think it's also probably a reaction
to some of the venues as well,
that these aren't inherently strategic venues.
Right. But you know, at the end of the day, I think the
identity of the PGA back in the 90s, early 2000s was like, this
is kind of a shootout, it's, it's gonna be a great finish.
It's gonna be exciting as hell, there's gonna be a bunch of
birdies. And many of those years, this was the most
exciting major. So entertainment perspective, I can't really I
can't really argue with him.
I hear that. I don't know when to get to this. We can do it every night if we wanted to. We're going to be on ESPN2 tomorrow. We can do it then if you want as well, Randy. But
talked about it. It's been alluded to a fair amount over the years. It's Valhalla week.
I just want to be clear, I want to make
sure we have this documented. You state your case and just to know if we're in a bit or if we're in a serious world when
you say, Tiger's tee shot in 2000 at Valhalla, was it kicked back down the hill, back towards the tee by a person? Was
there malfeasance in play? I just, I want to hear your case here.
Well, I think, Solly, I'll answer your question with not quite a full answer.
But I'll say I'm extremely confident that we don't know.
And because we don't know, we can't rule it out.
Okay.
Will you meet me there?
Or are you saying 100% definitively that there was nothing
nefarious going on with that golf ball? I'd say there's over
99% chance that there was nothing nefarious going on with
that. Are you serious? I would say that there's like a 97%
chance that there absolutely was something nefarious going on
with that golf ball. Did you read the BLP's? I did.
Inclusive. Where they said the ball bounced out of the heather
so again that to me that would say that somebody would have been standing in the heather and
Not be seen by anyone throw the ball back into play and roll it down the hill. This is 24 years later, Sully
Yeah, the Beale piece he had a great great piece. Golf Digest earlier this week.
He talks to a couple of people that were there at the tournament.
I'll say to you, see, it's a bit strange that I guess they've manipulated
that area of land where the ball, you know, where all this took place.
If you are going to try to cover something up, I would think, yeah,
messing with the landscape and the features
there would be a good thing to do. I just go by Jim Nance, Ken Venturi, in the moment,
they certainly thought there was something nefarious that happened. I don't know if I
can say-
Do you think it's the guy that runs down the hill. Is it that guy or is it
someone else? I don't know. I
definitely don't think it's that
guy like that. That wouldn't
make any sense to me. What
Chris B in the comments says
was was it Denny McCarthy in
the bush? That's a good
question. We simply don't know
the answers to these things. So,
no, but yes, while I'm not, I'm
not willing to say with a 100%
certainty that I know the ball was messed with, I'm not willing to say with a 100% certainty that I know the ball was messed with.
I'm also, I can't say we know definitively.
And so I like to believe that it was messed with personally
and I think there's strong evidence
to support that position.
Wow, okay.
We can litigate it further this week.
I think we can litigate it on ESPN
because we have access to the footage
when we're on ESPN.
Right? That's right. We can, I wish it wouldn't be as fun if
there was another angle. I was about to say I wish there was
another angle so we would know but we wouldn't be able to do
this if that was the case. Let's get to our our picks of the week
and then we got a couple questions we can we can round
out with TC's got a little segment we want to get to but
want to make sure we get to this and I know Cody's got us on a
strict one hour time schedule here, but I, I, I can
go first if that helps, but my pick of the week, it answers one of the questions.
And I actually didn't know this news about Hovlin getting back together with Mayo,
but it doesn't change my opinion on this.
My fan dual pick of the week, of course, odd subject to change, but he's in a
straight matchup against Tyrell Hatton.
I'm just, I'm just selling Hovlin.
Right. I'm taking Tyrell Hatton. Wow. Minus 105 over Hovland. Did you guys read that piece? Like this is, this is
not, this is not happening. I know Tyrell doesn't really do a whole lot in majors, but he kind of, it'll at least
make the cut and hang around somewhere. So I'd be, I'm hitting, I'm hitting Tyrell Hatton in a straight up bet
minus 105 over Victor Hovland over 72 holes.
It could have been anyone in this spot
and I think I would have taken him.
I'm buying Victor this week.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, not to win, but like, I think he finished his top 15,
top 20.
Hovland is what it seems.
He played really well the last round at Quail Hollow.
I feel like he's rounding a corner. That makes me really happy if he's back with Mayo
Good things good things on the horizon guys
Okay. Well, thanks for shitting all over my pick. What's your pick TC?
My pick is I it's our it's our feature bed of the week the NLU. I put this together this week
Obviously, this was a consensus pick from all of us. This is very reflective of everybody's plays. We got Max, top 10 Ludwig,
top 20. Tommy with three Es, top 30. And Harris English, HE, top 40. I feel like I've got
some unfinished business with H-E. Fleetwood. Maybe Fleetwood will have better success at majors than Tommy Fleetwood.
But I mean, I don't know. That feels pretty realistic to me. And I'm not sure what's going
on with the knee with Ludwig. He's been walking gingerly this week on it. He might have a strain.
it. He might have might have a strain might have I don't I don't know what he's got going on. But plus 2600 for like, I
can't see Tommy finishing outside the top 20 here. You
guys long enough he hits a ton of fairways and his long iron
plays stand out. So I love it. I think you know, get down with
this. Let's ride.
Randy, we got the willing. I have a group play. I like Cam Young. I of course think there's going
to be a natural bump from the video earlier this week with Cody and him out at La Costa.
Cam Young's group. He's plus 300 to win group D. Group D consists of Tommy Fleetwood.
the team that's considered to He's awful at Augusta. Tommy's a threat, but hey, I like Cam Young too.
The guy has played really, really well
in major championships, was a top 10 at Augusta.
I feel like this course should,
if he's playing well, should suit his game.
So that's my play of the week.
Cody, what do you feel about that?
Can you?
What's up, guys?
What's the question?
You just played with Cam recently.
Bless this? Yeah, what are we thinking coming out of that?
Your time spent with him.
If he gets his driver a little under control, a little squirrely with it, some left, some right.
But I think of all under the bus, your teammate.
He threw himself under the bus if you watch the video.
But he I think Vahal is actually a perfect place for him because he can hit it
an absolute mile and a lot of people are hitting their second shots from the rough there uh with
his speed power I think it sets up great for him and I think it's it's kind of it almost feels like
it's Cam Young's time I think it's one of those one of those things and I will say TC you shouted
out our NLU play that we have there.
For anybody that's interested, you can go to FanDuel Sportsbook and check it out there under,
on the left hand side, you're going to see column PGA. Then if you go over right next to PGA
championship, there's going to be some no laying up specials. That's where you can find all of the
goodness that TC cooked up for all of us here. But of course, odd subject to
change. Thank you to FanDuel. I'm out of here.
I can't wait till one day Cody's going to get got by bringing up his browsers. Like
it's, he's going to get some, some kind of windows going to get pop up there that he's
going to not want to have displayed to the world.
I'll say this. You guys don't know how close I was to just doing blocky to miss the cut, but the odds are like minus 1450.
Like you gotta lay so much, so many nuggies to make anything.
Randy, I had them set up a blocky versus Zach Blair.
I like that one too, yeah.
TC, what's the weather looking like?
You know what, Solly, it's not great.
It's Cody, I sent over some
models earlier to Cody. Weather models, not, not, you know,
models that can cancel or anything like that. So this is
this is the European model.
Nobody thought that until you said that.
No one thought that. Nobody talked about
although the block party. Yeah, we don't know. He's
we told you guys there's none of that silliness having the block
party. Yeah. So so Thursday looks looks pretty good. Mostly
sunny may have some stuff rolling in late night and then
Friday is going to be Thunderstorm City drench drench
City USA Saturday looking better 50% chance now Sunday looks
delightful. So we'll see what's happening. Not a
whole lot of wind to speak of maybe a maybe a little bit
kicking up kind of between, you know, three or four and 7pm
each night. But you know, it's it's improving a little bit.
I'll say that.
Okay. Do you do you have a list for us of some of your famous
people from Louisville that you want to run through?
Yeah, I was just did a deep dive on Wikipedia earlier this week
and just going through you know, obviously the ones he's not from
Louisville, but you know, Rick Patino, Papa John, Bob
Petrino, of course, Colonel Sanders, all those guys kind of
the big four come to mind. Right. Randy the commission, obviously. Sue Grafton, the author. She went to the University of
Louisville. Senator Chris Dodd. I know you're a big Dodd Frank guy, Randy. Senator cocaine,
Mitch McConnell, a big, big Louisville guy. Lam Lam, obviously Lamar Jackson little hands Johnny
United's I had no idea Johnny United's went to to UofL and Adam Hadwin no idea
that he went to the University of Louisville yeah yeah Don Rosa who created Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck.
I like that.
Neil's guy Jack Harlow.
Neil's a big Jack Harlow fan.
Obviously we've got Muhammad Ali, Purvis Never Nervous Ellison,
Ray John Rondo, Dan Uggla, Fuzzy Zeller.
He was raised on the other side of the river over in Indiana there.
Bill Plashke. No, Randy's a big Bill Plashke guy. Hunter S. Thompson and John Boyce, the old
everyday should be Saturday Vox media guy that we used to love and still love reading.
He's still with us. Yeah. Yeah.
We didn't have a lot of time to
get to listener questions that I asked for but I'll get to Sir James Niner here.
He said was Brooks a bit naughty posting his wife's beachwear photos after Rory's
divorce announcement? Yeah I thought that timing was a bit strange. So it was a
swimsuit edition right? She's in the SI Swimsuit Edition? Oh I didn't know that.
That's what I like I didn't know that.
That's what I, like Brooks and Rory are cool and tight.
Cody would know.
Cody, what, do we know anything about Jenna?
I'm pretty sure that there's like a big
SI swimsuit party going on tonight.
So it is the week of celebrating the new issue.
And what she, I believe she is in it.
TC's the one that told me that, but continue to, yeah,
just say, say that it's me
I love it
It's just the one that Brittany Mahomes is into
She and this is you know awful lot about this one anyways Brooks and Rory get along fine
That's why I do not think Brooks would have any reason to throw shade. I hope not. I would be very childish
I would be below the belt it totally he's Totally. Hopefully he's focused on other things this week. Some feature-ish groups,
some pairings that kind of caught our eye. It's a lot in the early phase on Thursday,
which means we'll get a lot of these guys in the afternoon window on Friday. But
Ludwig Xander JT at 753, Tiger Adam Scott Keegan at 804. Big spot for Keegan there. He's not had a very good year. How do you get the Tiger parry?
Is this a make good from the PGA of America? For?
He got un-dirty for Rome.
He might have gotten saved from me from Rome if we're being serious, but had to play for ZJ.
Rory, DJ and Rose at 815. Cam, Hideki and Hovland at 8.26.
And Kepka, Max Spieth at 8.37.
Five in a row of bangers there in the morning.
Off of 10T, I believe.
And then the afternoon, not nearly as many feature groups,
or I don't even know what you'd consider feature
and what you wouldn't, but Ricky Rahm and Cam Young at 2.02.
And then Wyndham, Brian Harmon and Scotty,
the three, or three of the major
winners from last year at 213 tomorrow. So they'll be they'll be late on Thursday and early on Friday.
Can't lays out Taurus feels like a good one. Yeah and and Vejegas with them. They kind of had some
some really random random pairings. I don't really not quite sure if I'm falling. I got a bad feeling
that Can't least
gonna play well this week. You've been saying that for
like every major lately. I don't know if you're just kind of just
hedging your happiness on this or are you really getting these
feelings? So I think can't lay should start like you were that
that, you know, Apollo was a theme, I think was like their,
you know, consumer investment portfolio or whatever.
I think you should wear other companies hats out of their portfolio or that have been in
their portfolio over the last 101520 years, AMC, Chuck E Cheese, you know, things of that
nature, you know, companies that they've hollowed out, financialized, fired everyone,
and then spun up, sold for a profit.
The easiest part of my job is knowing exactly
when the show's about to end.
It just is always extremely clear
when the show's about to end.
These are the arsonists we're talking about,
T.C., that are now trying to set the rules, exactly.
This guy, Josh Harris.
All right, it's time to wrap.
You can find us here every day, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
Sunday.
After Play has wrapped up right here on YouTube,
live on X slash Twitter as well.
Chime in during the chats.
Come join us.
It's really fun during the live shows,
especially during majors.
They're our favorite shows to do every year,
all courtesy of our friends at High Noon.
And also, as we've mentioned, we'll
be doing an ESPN
slash Omaha MegaCast on ESPN2 Thursday and Friday, 1pm Eastern to 3pm Eastern, two hour window there. We'll have
kind of the wrap up of the morning groups and then seeing off the afternoon groups. And then of course, it'll
flip on Friday as well. So ESPN2 tomorrow for two hours, and then we're on 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday
on ESPN Plus as well.
Just doing the same dumb stuff,
but with live golf over the top underneath.
It's gonna be great.
It's gonna be really, really fun.
So.
I will not cuss.
I will not cuss.
I will not cuss.
Are we gonna do an official pick to win?
Yes, we can.
We can absolutely do that.
I said this on Monday, nothing's changed.
Scottie's my pick to win.
It's very bold, I know. I did say on the other day he's gonna win by four or more. That's the bold part of it. But Scott
He's my pick to win Sarge. What's your pick to win?
Roy McElroy
Randy I
I'll go with Scheffler. I don't love it though
TC what was your went with max earlier this week, I think
I thought about going to Tommy but with this put this news. I'm going Rory. I want to show up at the block party
I want to get I want to get in on this block party
You're gonna have to have a conversation with your brother if you're allowed back in buddy
Well, my brother's not happy with us after we aired him out for the exactly bubbling stuff
I want to shout him out. He shot 34 on his back nine today one under
You know proud of him. Okay, Neil. I'm proud of you
Yeah, he showed up when when he needed to most an excellent final nine coming in
