First thing that comes to mind for you guys, Mike Lorenzo Vera. A lot of guys packed up. I thought you guys are moving. You wrote off Mike Lorenzo Vera before it even started out.

I was getting despair. He's still got two days though. I suspect he won't be inside the top 20. I think that's... What would, if you had to bet, will one of Halton Lee or Michael Rinsovera be in the top 20 by the end of tomorrow? By the end of Sunday.

Well, in the end of Sunday, I would bet no. I mean, Kym or kind of shook us today, huh? Yeah. That was jarring. When he said he would leader at the range ever stayed there for sale. That was, we're gonna get, can we get, in one second, we'll get to that.

But we talked about this with speed. Speed was there like two hours after his T time yesterday and we were like, whoa, only one left on the range. How Tung Lee might literally still be there. Maybe he is, maybe he's trying to. I've never seen anything like that. It was so concerning. I, I think you may have gotten an ultimate from his sponsors.

I don't know what the story you're talking about, but it was several years ago, at least like four or five years ago, and Halhtong is asking the question, talking to so and so,

like let's just say it's Brad. Oh, like Brad, you have Swing Coach,. Oh, like, Brad, like, you have swing coach and like was surprised that Brad had a swing coach. He goes, oh, I need swing coach. And we say that every time he comes up the screen, it makes just us laugh and now you can laugh with it. If DJ were here, he would know, because I feel like DJ, like he either witnessed it

or I think it was from his days when DJ was still at the tour. So you guys are not writing off Hal Tongley? I'm not writing him off. I was hoping for Hal Tong, Dustin Johnson, pairing, because they're twins. My mind is my mind. My mind people have been saying the same thing. My head is writing him off, but my heart certainly isn't.

I think it's who I'll be pulling for the most this weekend. Didn't drive a great yet at four fairways today. He was ninth in strokes game, approach the green, seventh in strokes game, putting pretty, you know, complete round of golf, but it's going to be a little different waiting around. Well, I guess he didn't wait around 24 hours for it. I was going to say I felt like you played a lot better today than you did yesterday. Yeah. A separate from score just as far as, you know, more complete round like he said.

Tommy Fleetwood, the flusher. Yes. Feel like he just, that was a statement round. I don't even see a whole lot of it. I think this morning it was a little, little jagged there this morning, but, um, I believe he's going to be paired with Hal Tongley. We're kind of, we were getting into this as they were wrapping up and I assume they're announcing tee times, but big weekend for Tommy lad.

Yeah, it's time. Yeah, he needs to, he needs to play really well. Is it shoulder get off the pot time a little bit? I mean, losing to the ball again. Yeah. We, we, we, we the rules around that, at least somewhat. And now he's back for a long stretch, which, and he didn't want to leave his family and all that very understandable.

But, you know, I wouldn't say I forgot about him, but you almost kind of forgot about him. Or I guess he flew a little more under the radar coming in because we haven't seen a whole lot of him. Looks like he's putting very well, too. I don't know if the stats bear that out at all. But, yeah, I feel like every time they show him,

he's like, 12th and strokes game putting so far. So they're 85% of fairways hit today, 68% for the week. We'll take that. That'll play pretty well. I used first and fairways hit today. So I wish I could commit to anything in my life, as much as Tommy Fleet would commit to a golf swing. Like the way he like delivers his body through it is, it's admirable. It's inspiration. I don't swing the club like that. I'm still to this day.

I don't think I've ever seen a more like committed golf shot than the one that he hit. We're in Abu Dhabi. Straight into the wind, straight into the sun. And I mean, it was like, like that's, that's no way that's outside of 10 feet. You know, what was, you guys favorite shot you saw all day? I know immediately what came to mind for me.

I mean, JT on 16, which he was not striking the ball for 80s, not been in very good control of his golf ball, but that 25 Apex cut driver landed 2.35 rolls up, like 18 feet. I know, yeah, I were talking about the block driver into the tree. Well, that one, like 70 yards. That was my favorite.

I take that back, Ricky's muffed. That was the highlight of the day. That was sweet too. To miss the cut by one. Yeah. That was, it was kind of glanced over. I don't even know if they, they never showed that highlight on the main broadcast.

I don't think, I know it's circulated on Twitter, but. Ricky, you know, he's got a new CBD sponsor this week. He's got more time to promote them over the week. I didn't know, don't say the name, but of course I didn't see that. Jason Day. He looks good. He looks very solid.

somewhat faking it around. I wouldn't say day is faking it around, but like how Tom cannot hit. He didn't put that well either though today. How Tom cannot hit four fairways a day and stay in this thing. And yeah, day lost strokes on the green today. But what's the weather like the next two days?

His ball rolled out a little bit more, but it was that fun, low cut. Yeah, burger's playing well. You got, I mean, Brooks, the Brooks injury stuff. I think that's a worthy storyline. First of all, let's just put out the elephant in the room here. If this was happening to like,, rice in a Jason day, we would be murdering him.

For sure, definitely. This is something that he's been dealing with leading up and he's talking about it being his hip, but I think at least a couple of people were sending messages and saying, like if you're favoring one of your knees, it's like the next closest joint you're gonna have that's gonna act up would be probably your hip. And that's probably related to this knee injury he's been dealing with

Then you know every time he gets the treat many steps up and pipes a driver afterwards Which I didn't know you could have your someone from your crew come inside the ropes and stretch you out during the middle of a Days done that many times before yeah, I guess in the I'm curious to know if they can if they can use some sort of Implement like if they brought a hyper-roll man or bands or something like that. It's all, both this incident and Bryson would not have happened on the PGA tour because your squad is cut down to one person.

Like you're allowed one person inside the bubble. And here it looks like you can have, Bryson was able to get a shaft brought back to him yesterday by his coach that was out following him. That's interesting. Yeah, and Bryson has swing coach. He's Bryson has swing coach. It Bryson has due guy and all the guys that

will help him dial in his numbers. Bryson, a little disappointing. It just doesn't seem to be as my pick. Is Brooks, the last thing I'm Brooks, is Brooks the favorite? He is the favorite. He's the betting favorite, right? At least as of this afternoon.

He would definitely, I said this after the round yesterday. I'd say I would take Brooks right now. He was what like five to one earlier, I think. Yeah, he was around five to one. It's funny because if you don't trust Halton, this term, it feels wide open still. Oh, yeah. Where, you know, there are tons and tons of guys that depending on, you know, if they

go out and shoot a 64 65 tomorrow, um, how do we, many guys are in there? How do we feel about Justin Rose? It seems like you're scraping the shit out of it, right? Again, I can't, it lasted for a long time at the US Open last year when he was kind of scraping it. And he, yeah, he's 10th in Strokes Game Pudding, but yeah, he's 118 in Strokes Game off the tee right now. I, you're just not gonna last four rounds.

And there was a wildfire at his ladies event today. You do hate to see that, which is nuts. Mike, Mike Lorenzo Vera, also at Six Under, have a nugget on Mike, a little bit concerning. He has two three irons in the bag. If you have two three irons, you have legs, the question. Is one of them a game improvement?

Three iron legs. One of them is a muscle back, and one of them is the one that Neil currently plays. I was shocked to learn he hasn't competed since March. Shout out to the guys on PGA Tour Radio. Tell me that. Do you, is he someone that you would label a manipulator? He's never won the Eurator.

I'd have to dig into it, probably not. I don't think so. He's 82nd the year-end tour. I'd have to dig into it, probably not. I don't think so. He's 82nd in the world right now. Probably. Probably. Probably say he's manipulative. Yeah, so probably. He doesn't look like a guy that cares enough about it though to actually manipulate the system,

but I'm sure he benefits plenty from playing on the European tour. From the world I keep pushing through. I can't throw my feet in the middle of his car. I'm not quite done with Brooks though yet, because I feel like every round he plays in a major championship probably doesn't get appreciated enough. Like how good, how good a quality shots he hits

on a very consistent basis. I feel like he hasn't even put it that great. Well, I just mean that a lot of shots in majors do not look spectacular and they are so good. Like a lot of the part three shots he hit today, he's second in the field right now in Stroke's Game approach. Like he's hitting, he's hit the one he hit on 18.

Yes, exactly. From a punk race. Oh my God, that was so good. He's not driving it great. He's rolling it plenty fine. He's gained a couple of shots. But yeah, he's second in proximity, second in Stroke's gain approach.

And that is just the kind of thing that I think is going to last for four rounds. Then he hit what, the seven iron from 250 or something today? Or five iron from 250? He hit five iron from 250 on number 10. He hit eight iron on 11 from like 205 or something like that. And that's with an injured knee and hip. So yeah. That's wild, man.

On the Bryson note, it just doesn't feel like it's adding up this week. I feel like, honestly, I don't even think he's played well enough to be too under. It just kind of feels like that is his baseline in floor, which is kind of why I wanted to pick him as I thought, yeah, I thought that if he played it, if it came together, he would run away with it.

It just doesn't seem, lip out to just isn't quite there. You need a lot of things to go your way. It's not going your way. There's a frisky, frisky group at 4-500. Well, just somebody who was here in the comments that it's scrolled by before I got the name, but they're asking who is driving it well. First of all, Cam Champ, leading the field

in Stroke's Game of the T, did not see that coming. Tommy Fleetwood's second as well. He is driving this shit out of the ball. Matthew Wolf, third in the field in Stroke's game off the tee and 11th in a Stroke's game approach. If he's been, he's the type of 16th right now. And then Daniel Berger as well, absolutely striping it off the tee.

So a lot of, there are some of the dudes at the top of the lead board that have been driving it well, but I feel like a lot of the TV coverage has been on dudes that are not hitting fairways. Yeah, I mean, you got, you got champ. I don't think, yeah, I him hit what one or two shots today. Todd's hanging in there. He was even today impressive man I a lot of people thought I was fired shots at Brennan Todd on Twitter just by saying I didn't see this coming

It's like dude. This is a bombers golf course and he is made one of the least bombing guys on the PGA tour And he's holding his own it's since guys on the PGA tour and he's holding his own. It's severely, sincerely impressive. One of those two. All right, I have some, all right. I would like to do a bet with you for the weekend. Lanto versus Scotty Shephler. No, I'm not doing that.

You're not doing that? Scotty Shephler is clearly a better player than Lanto. I'll spot you a point. I'll spot you a stroke too. Where is Scotty? Scotty's a minus three, Lanto's a minus four. And I get a shot from there. Yeah, I mean, no, just like,

Scotty's one shot behind him right now. All right, what's the bet? I'll take it, whatever. 10 draft Kings points. Sure, all right. Wait, wait, wait. Wait. I have to give him 10 of my budget.

Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, okay. Yeah. But all right, I'm shook by Zander. Zander hit 28% of his fairways today. He hit 42% yesterday. Not good. Yeah, he hit 10 fairways in two days.

We're gonna, but he somehow tied for 14th and strokes came off the tee. He's bombing it down there, and I guess in good enough spots. But Zander, I tweeted something this afternoon, and I felt like it was Brooks and Xander. And then from then on out, Xander really did not seem to have it. But they haven't really treated him with enough respect.

I feel like they haven't treated him like a star that he is. And he is a very good major championship resume. It still feels like he's very much in this only. I say only four back, like I don't think eight understeal lead, like I'm sorry, I'm not banking in any way on how tongue-lea winning this tournament. I feel like six hundred is kind of the lead. Six hundred is the lead.

That's why I mean, yeah, two hundred though, is right in it. Oh, for sure. And that's Bryson, I don't know. Oh yeah. It just doesn't seem like it's there. I don't know. No, and I guess 63 is out there though.

There's some big names at two hundred. I think that's it. I think somebody at one hundred could, I mean, they got to hang a number. I think that's in, I think somebody at 100 could, I mean, they got to hang a number. I don't, I wouldn't feel good at like even part. You feel good about so many guys. You feel good about Norton? I feel good.

Totally fine. Totally safe. Okay. It's been like four years guys, okay? Like he's allowed to have some good tournaments. It doesn't change anything that I ever said. Finau is set up so nicely for an uncompetitive, non-competitive top 10.

And Mr. Bad Putt down the stretcher. He's still a lot of puts. And I will say the longer this goes on the more, I'm like, oh, yeah, he's not gonna win this, which I don't think anybody had a really good win this. You guys saw he's gonna win this? No, not anybody thought that. Tough scene from Joel Damon.

God, he had such a good day. He's such a long day. God, I was saying I felt like he was out there for nine hours. Jesus. He's from the bucket had to a non-sleeve, so which if that's the case, then honestly, sorry, Joel, you deserve the triple bogey if you switch from the bucket hat to a regular hat, especially after the birdie on eight to come in and triple nine. Come on, man. How we feel about Rodriguez, McKill Roy, the Mick rib.

A lot of people ask you who the Mick rib is. It's Rory. Is he is he alive? You said you needed to see something. I didn't see shit today. Does that mean he's dead? He made four birdies in a row today. I don't care.

Does that mean he's dead to you? He's he's in a coma. He's in a he's in a vegetative state state and we had to figure out if we're going to keep my life. I thought the wording yesterday was if he doesn't show me something tomorrow, he's dead to me. Somebody in the comments chime in whatever he said, we don't remember what we ever say on these things. We're in he's like ready to not remember writing up the list of his latest wedges. He might wedges were not the issue. His long game has not really been there. The iron game has not really been there.

The Iron Play has not quite been there. The driver has been, he hit like a little sawed off weird punch hook off the tee on 15 of the day as in like, I don't really trust my driver right now. I came up short a couple of times early in the round with low, low irons in his hands. It was like, come on man, like, you know, you're, you're the McRib. I guess yeah, he's negative stroke scheme putting and,

and very much in the positive on ball striking. So I was off on that one, but it's, it seems that way. From what we're used to seeing from him, he needs to be in the top 10 in ball striking every single week. So. All right, Adam Scott disappointed in him today. The outfit, yeah, I agree. Oh, who's...

Lars is trying to argue with me that that was a good outfit. No. I mean, you know what? I don't have a problem with the colors as much I have a problem with the cut. Bad cut, right? Bad, the colors don't match. The unique low cut, they've been wearing the last two years.

Just like, it's such a weird pant thing. That's good. White hat with black shoes. I said, I gave him credit for the fact that he knows how handsome he is. He knows it's not really fair to dress well. He punts it back to the field. Here, guys, I'm gonna dress like this.

I'm tired of stunting on you guys like this. Try and keep up. That's what my interpretation of it. bringing a heat all day she got mad at me for she said I was harassing people and then said I sell bad when I show up to tournaments twice a year from 10 feet away. This isn't official invite to the tour miss if she would like to come on the trap draw at any time and name your date, there's an open invite. She's credentialed for like every tour that I've ever been to.

It's amazing. It's truly, truly amazing stuff. Solly, are you ready to talk about Marcao's plot? Yeah, sure. I don't want to told you about it. Yeah, Morca missed from two feet, one inches today. That was tough. That's gonna happen.

He's actually played great. That they have completely neglected him. He's gaining shots on the field putting this week. So it's not horrible. I think he's got around that two under group. That's my sneaky group with him and Scott and Bryson and Patrick Reed. Somebody's going low out of that group tomorrow.

Are they going to do anything you think with the setup? I mean, what have you thought of the setup so far? And are they going to twerk it a little bit to generate some excitement in the next couple of days? I've, well, I think the best thing they could do would be reverse the 9s, but we're too late for that. But that would be cool. Doing that good tournament would be awesome. I think that would be awesome. I'd say that out. But that would be cool. Do we have a good tournament?

I think that would be awesome. I thought I'd say that out loud. That would be awesome. Austin Johnson and DJ would be like, maybe like an artist. Dude, I'm not seeing this in the art of the day. Because like seven is the short four, eight is a tough part three and the nine's are really tough.

Like if that was your 16, 17, 18, that could allow for some jockeying. You know what I was thinking about today is, I remember how much you love the Pebble Beach set up, the US Open set up. This reminds me of in that vein, where you just have to hit a lot of quality shots. And I think I'm appreciative of it,

or I'm not upset at it because it's a PGA and not a US Open. Gotcha. And guys are like, that makes sense. You know, four, five, six under. It's, I've found it to be very pleasant. I've thought the golf has been, has been a joy to watch. I think it's a little boring to watch guys hack out of the rough on repeat.

I don't think it's like a disgrace to set up, but it's just a little bit like, I don't know, I don't think it's so random trying to judge your flyers, judge where it's gonna land, how to stop it, and it just turns into, when you're in the rough off the tee, you're probably in the rough around the green, and it's again another unpredictable lie, and it's hard to make. Like that on repeat just gets a little old.

Like watching them hit shots out of the bunker is really entertaining. And I'm not saying ad fairway bunkers, but that, there's just not much chance for recovery and it's a lot of luck once you're in the rough. That's the part that I like. Sure, and it's a little bit. But I feel like, guys should be able to, I mean, I feel like the fairways aren't, you know, the fairways are out there.

You just got to hit good shots. Like, I don't think it's a tall order to hit one fairway. I just don't like the one fairway. Two feet off the fairway, just like disappearing. I think that's just kind of like, all right. I do think enough guys are hitting some recovery shots into the greens that, you know, it's not a sunk cost if you go into the rough.

No, not always. It's just like long holes that are narrow with thick rough. Like 15 is great. 15 is great. It's 100 yards at dog legs. There's a bunker that weights right there. And it's like, dude, hit it in the fairway if you want with something that's an iron, a wood if you want,

and then hit the green. Or if you take this on, you might be in trouble. That is a good balance. But like 480 par 4 that's 22 yards wide with thick rough. That's just like, I don't know. That is what really weeds out a lot of dudes over the course of 72 holes. I think there's some inherent limitations just with the course itself.

Like I think they're, it's about as good as they can make those holes in the course. People have been bitching about all the holes looking the same. I think some of that's just, like there's not a whole lot of differentiating. It's not on the coast, it's not on, you know, on a spectacular piece of land. Yeah, it's like, it's the best thing. It's very, it's got whips of like a firestone in that. Like, wait, what hole am I seeing again? Like, I've seen this three times today. But if you go out and play it, like, they, all the holes kind of do, I mean, you guys may disagree with me, but like, all the holes differentiate from each other if you go play it

Yeah, yeah, it's just it doesn't quite resonate on TV The the shot that they played from the drone on coming up was that nine or 18 It was not for all intensive purposes It'll be 18 this weekend. That was such a cool shot. What's they flip the nines? It'll be 18 this weekend. That was such a cool. They flip once they flip the Nines. A lot of people here in the comments on talking about the television, SVP and David Duval are great. I think we agree with that. Shot of McDonald's great.

They just hit us. Somebody said the sequence of golf shots, they saw this afternoon was like a grand finale of a firework show. It's just a golf shot. Golf shot. Golf shot. Golf shot. There was one point where a couple of the big groups were like all playing par threes at the same time. And I think like, yeah, there were six or seven big name players on three different par threes. And it was like rapid fire. They teed it up for this Friday afternoon to be all these names coming in. And they delivered pretty well. And I didn't help that like Like Rory, Tiger and JT were just pretty much struggling. Most, I mean, Rory had that hot spell in the middle.

I got a coverage beef. Here we go. I shared it earlier. It happens a lot. But if somebody's listening who can do something about it, I have a pet peeve, which is they make the feature groups, the best of the best. They're like the A plus groups.

And so of course, you can turn on the feature group channel and you get to watch every shot from the A plus guys. Well, the main feed, all it turns into is they're showing every shot of the A plus guys anyway. And so then you just get limited shots from, hey, here's a Daniel Berger shot or here's a Zander shot. But so the fix is make those feature groups like B plus guys that you're not gonna see every shot because the main feeds always going to show every shot from the A plus guys.

Randy, I'm with you. Do I have to tell you what a hard camera. I don't even know what that I don't know what that mean. Did you ever listen to the Nance pod? Oh, yeah, yeah. About the hard cameras, man. But that's part cameras. That's my beef.
