Rose did exactly what we needed him to do. And so everything is set up for the weekend. That's my biggest takeaway from the day.

How about you guys? Team Rose, Randy. It's not T. It's true. It's always a team. Well, currently awaiting a statement from Team Rose. Unfortunately, DJ is not here tonight, but he says that the boards of forms are they're going They're going batshit out there for team Rose is just they're flying the Union Jack. It's crazy Well, it's sad DJ was scheduled to be here and then when Rose made three early bogies

He quickly came up with the reason why he couldn't be here tonight. You know, what's selling? That's what team works all about though I will say they're flying that Union jacket at half mast for my guy, Prince Philip. That's right. Randy, is that who you're named after? You nailed it, TC. I'm probably stealing TC's thunder, but I think just really strong consistent golf from leechman I thought he balled out in a very controlled way. Like he didn't give any strokes back. TC was calling for a sloppy bogey at 14 and 17.

Didn't see those. He was able to. He was able to. He was able to. He was able to. Yeah, and I thought that was a good call. You know, I got, you know, can't lay,

instead of pouring cold water over the field, he's pouring it all over himself, just bathing in it. And I got TC downstairs, oh, this fucking, let's go leash. So I had a tough day around here listening to TC, but I was impressed with Leashman. So I'll be rooting for him this weekend. Neal's only bet to be alive,

or the bet that you needed in the parlay was for Cantlay to beat Rory, which is the saddest bet you could possibly have. Rory was plus eight, I was like, oh my god, this part, because all the other ones are, you know, are looking out. Minty right now, except for, uh, can't lay. So can't lay his girl broke up with him? Apparently we've got sources of said that he might be suffering from broken heart.

So that's not our business. God, come on. We didn't put that in the models. Uh, no, you know, I think you should apologize to the blue guys. That's, that's, that's TMZ guys. Come on, let's, let's, let's stay about. Can we go back to leash? Sure.

I mean, the, the, the birdie on three was, he was hunting the angle down the left. And then, you know, hits it to four feet. Easy, easy birdie there. I just, it was such a stress-free round, very unleashed like round, because he drove the ball really, really well. I was, I was on cloud nine on day.

Both leash and speed are driving the ball concerningly well. I, this is gonna shock you. And you guys are not gonna see this one coming. Speed is my biggest story of the day, if you will. Didn't honestly, he made one putty, made the putt on 17. That's really the only putty made most of the day. Shot 68. Driving the shit out of the ball, hitting it in all the right spots, total control of the golf ball still looks uncomfortable in the greens. I don't feel totally committed

to the fact that he's going to win, but like he's hitting the ball as good as I can remember him hitting it at Augusta. He's not even, I don't know, it's not like the putts are like just lipping out. He just still looks a little uneasy. The driver's a weapon. It is. It totally is a weapon right now. So, I don't know, him sitting at T4, one of five guys that broke par on both days. We're excited. We're very excited to have some speed tickets right now. Randy, what's your reaction to, as TC would say, stinky Jordan? It's a tournament. It's a tournament.

It's a tournament. He's got that look in his eye. I love what I see from him. You know, of course, he's got the no player to ever make a triple or worse mountain to overcome this weekend, which I don't know, could be a real thing. But in all sincerity, he looks very under control.

Nothing that I've seen looks fluky. You know, he's gotten a couple good breaks. I think of the chip in yesterday on 15 has made a couple long putts, but he just seems pretty in control. I won't ask T.C. because he was blown up our Slack channel about some messages regarding speed and griller today and what might be going on there. I hate hearing that.

Yeah. I got, you know, Sean Martin, Kyle Porter, other people trying to divide us. They're trying to spook us or saying that it's frosty between griller and speed, not a whole lot of talking, not a whole lot of hawking, not a whole, you know, they were, they were, they were out there watching them. Bad body language. I think griller's just given him tough love. He's making him earn, earn the affection, earn the, the adjulation.

It doesn't seem like, uh, speed is listening to griller. I would think they'd be on cloud nine right now. You know, just one last week and he's two shots off the league going into the weekend at the Masters. I mean, what are we doing? Speed still has a weird tendency to drastically underclub himself. He had on the West Coast, he would struggle with

into the win shots, he would keep trying to pound wedges into the win, which only adds more spin, which makes it go more vertically and come up woefully short in very obvious situations. Like it's not a wedge for Jordan, and I don't know if that's a griller or a Jordan thing. Well, if I'm griller, I'm still pissed that he didn't listen to me on nine yesterday. That was the most egregious, irresponsible, like punch out, or, you know, shot that he tried to play on the hit the tree. Here's what I worry about with speed is there's some, does he have enough firepower with some of the other names up there on the leaderboard.

The guy that scares me most if I'm speed is JT quite honestly. I thought my second biggest story, or at least individually, right behind speed, is Justin Thomas. You know, bad three putt at 18, notwithstanding. He played exceptional golf. It seems like he's even flying under the radar a little bit. It wasn't on TV much today, went out early. He's the guy I look at. It's like, Man, if he's on, I'm not sure anybody has enough to get past him. It was gas pedal from JT today. It was no brakes. It was hitting. He was only gearing down on the paddles around the corners. He did not hit the brakes on the corners. He was in motion the entire time. As he's pulling in for the podium finish, he may have hit the podium sign and three putted 18, but it was it was golf, man.

It was it was it was it was calling the players, man. It was like a very just aggressive and confident. And I know where my golf ball is going. That little low hook. He's got going on the 10th hole and on 13th hole is playing very, very well. It if there's going to be a time for JT, it's going to look a lot like it currently does through two days. I would have to think.

I think going back to the, like the moment of the day that it gave me a fright was leash on 15. That ball hanging up. Oh my god. I think that could have changed the entire complexion of his round. We talked about that with Marco Mir and the preview pod. Just going back and watching those, he had two balls on Sunday that if they landed within a foot, a foot short of where they landed, he would, we would not have been having that conversation. Whoever's going to win the masters is going to have a ball that like it shouldn't have done

what it did. Speed maybe chipping it should have chipped it in the water on Thursday on 15. Crowning. That may have been the shot that won on the masters. But that's really, really proper solid golf from Zalalatoris and not even the official member of the tour I think that that you know he deserves some some mad credit You guys think he fades this weekend well outside to be very literally clear arm lock is definitely not cheating However, there's a very good case to be made that it should be against the rules arm lock and in greens books correct Get rid of them right now. I think 80% of golfers would agree right after that. I had to watch Cooture all morning.

He's arm locking on his right arm, which was. What's up with that? The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Yeah. No, Zal Torrs. Very, very impressive. I believe it's his first two competitive rounds at Augusta. You wonder how he sleeps tonight. One shot off the league going into the weekend.

I mean, I think the safe bet would be to say fades a little in the weekend, but there's nothing fluggy about the way he hits the ball. So I don't know. I'll defer to TC and Sali there. Going back, I think, something that bears mentioning DJ had we we got a question from DJ pi house key but yeah or DJ pi who's who's currently you know off with team rose celebrating basically he said hey does does the Zalatoris have an advantage because he's he's playing on the Cornfairy tour because the lack of

rough yeah you know is that is the Is the easy setup with no rough, allowing a corn fairy tour, and will we see more of this in the future? And I saw a Twitter conversation about, he's playing free and loose because he's not worried about protecting FedEx cup points. That's a very good point. Normally in this situation,

I think it'd be super easy to point at whatever. He's not a PJ tour member. He's going to fade. I'm not buying that. I'm holding on Zalatoris through the weekend. I think a top five finish is not even close to out of the question. We got a question from Tucker Blank. He was asking, who's the guy that's going to be, well, it just wasn't his day out here,

but I'm sure we'll be seeing him in the future. My mind went to Zalatoris, but I'm, I'm, I'm in. I'm not selling Zalatoris at this moment. Well, especially when he finished, I mean, what he finished in last year's US Open, right? Like he's, yeah, he's not a corn-fairy tour player. He's been there. I think he was tied for six. Yeah, in the US Open, like he's, he's a bona fide doll. He's been in big moments before. So that would leave me to believe it's you know of course he might fate but I wouldn't go there. I would you know I would look more towards like see who Kim who like what is going on in his mind. I you know there's a couple other guys that I would point to Sally with that you know just one this weekend.

I got a question that's definitely not for Randy, because I know the answer to this question when it comes to Randy, but are you guys T.C. and Neil, are you getting the most out of your practice? Absolutely not, because I'm not practicing enough. That's me, bro. I am because I'm working with Gulf Blue.

So, but I said, I want practice plans for on the course. Like where I can just go out with three balls or whatever and play by myself. They dial that up for me. and trying to regroup himself. And then yeah, he makes that putt on 18 and shoots 67. And it's like, dang, man, he's right back in it. Guys, going back. He asserted himself. He 67. I was like, dang, man, he's right back in it. Guys going back, he has certain it himself. The, on the, on the last, what eight holes? That was some serious golf. Like I don't want to, it's shot that he hit into 15.

Then that right rough was, with that much spin on it, was really, really, really good. I was gonna say, shot he hit into 18 was crazy in present too. Yeah. I was like a half swing, Randy, that that approach into 18 from 75 miles, right? You know, the best AI is self learning and I'm fearful that maybe that's what's happening

with Bryson. Well, that's what I'm wondering if, all right, six rounds into new Bryson at Augusta now. We still haven't seen the good one, like the really good one. I think is that, you know, all right, are we taking that and saying, it's probably unlikely that we're gonna get

great Bryson at Augusta or are we saying, you know what know what man like he didn't really still have his best stuff? He did not drive it great today. It did not appear any shop five lenders should we should we be worried about that? I Think it's somewhere in between honestly if I'm if you're asking me I you know I Still get back to and this is totally, I could be making it up, of course, but I just feel like there's, he's got to play with a little bit more imagination

I'm completely with that. But last year, I've been at this point in the same golf course. And you did, you refused to count Rory's US Open at Congressional. I mean,

it's too soft. I would argue it's almost like considering the work day of the memorial last year, you know, I mean, same golf course, but a different tournament that you don't they don't get the memorial championship that we before do that. Listen, maybe it's a half think it makes you think even then though, I think the major that he wanted, Oakmont, was maybe 1.5 majors. And maybe the- Because he had the penalty too. Maybe the masters last year was 0.5, right? So-

I listen to that. I still shaking out at two. I like carbon out the, you know, he holds the November scoring record. And yeah, then we have the April scoring record. Going back, I think, I wanna change my answer for Story of the Day. Story of the Day was the whole location on 6.

No one has ever flipped flop. TC has never flipped flop on something. There's a lot of different directions TC could go to Story of the Day. That was awesome. It was awesome in a chaos sort of way. It was very much like almost no shots got rewarded on six today. A lot of shots got punished very much so DJ putting down the slope from the from the top shelf. That was awesome rose rose getting one rejected back in his face while still in the lead.

Sandy's aisle. I mean, it was it was awesome. It was I always that was the highlight of the day. It was a little cruel to have it back close to the top. I agree with ETC. I love that pin location. Especially on a day where the greens were a little bit softer. You know, there was more humidity in the air. What you guys think of the setup? I'm right. I mean, anxious to hear this.

I thought the setup was fine. I thought I love the pin on seven. That's a great, great hole location that right pin on seven. Great pin on 16. You got to have proper golf shot in there. I'm like, the one we'll see later this weekend. Uh, I could have done with one of six or 16, not being both on those top shelf. I thought those two shots were a little too similar to that.

Maddie was saying he was like, yeah, there were, there were those whole locations on all the par three is really hard. Yeah. Um, yeah, I thought it was good. I thought it worked back. Left on four. That seems like a pretty, that's accessible. Accessible pin. But they, I mean, they played it 247 today. I mean, yesterday it was like 178 or something like that.

So that was a big boy today. I think the, you know, it was a little easy out there. The back, the second nine was, it was playing pretty easy if we're being honest. But I think TC, you made a good point earlier today. You said, you know, they did what they had to do to try to get as many guys back in the hunt as possible. I think they were playing defense against the Rose run away. Can I ask you guys this? Did it, for as good of a leaderboard as we have, a good

tournament as we have going into this weekend. Did the afternoon stink as much as you guys? Yeah, sure. Well, the scoring was better in the morning again today. It seemed like I mean, Zalator has played well in the afternoon, Zander played all right, but nobody, you know, I guess I would consider fiendal kind of stuck in the middle. And I mean, he obviously played really well, but the, just nobody was in contention in the afternoon. It was kind of brutal. The waves were just, I mean, the waves played really well, but the just nobody was in contention in the afternoon.

It was kind of brutal. The waves were just, I mean, the waves were weighted towards, they were, but also they just got let down by DJ Rory, Ram, all those guys stinking in the afternoon. Or the guys that were more early late just stunk. I mean, none of the big names carried that part, they're part of the deal. Do you think that was more because of the draw or just coincidence? Now, because it seemed like coincidence to me. Yeah.

Yeah, if anything, those guys had a great draw yesterday. And it did not seem to be as severe of a draw in any way today, because it was almost no conditions. But I will say, like there's, I mean, go back to the setup, some of the wind in material eyes, but like legitimately, like some of the greens look like they're going to die, which I'm weighing on. It looked like the reports I got on the ground this

morning were like the guys they might lose them. Like I don't know if they're going to maintain them. Like they kill them off every year, right? I guess, but it's also I was like, yeah, this looks like Sunday, US open more than it does like Friday of a masters. Which really, you know, who the big loser there is? It's the volunteers. Well, the media members that win the lottery to play on Monday, they're not, there's gonna be a golf course there. The whole thing is going to be burned to the ground. Um, I'm, I'm disappointed, though, in you guys, we're 30 minutes in or whatever in

this. Nobody mentioned Fee now. I wanted to address it. I assumed you guys. I thought you were going to peak. I thought you'd be gloating. I thought you guys would jump in front of it and just say such such a great putte hit on 18. Oh my god. Tom P5. We're fine with that It was a great round of golf even Nancy was like

It boats so well for this weekend, you know, he's gonna be so confident over those four footers That's your big takeaway after a Friday 66 are you comfortable with him looking at? I'm not comfortable with it, but he is searching for that storyline with him, you know, looking at the hole on shortputs. But he didn't do it on 18, so I don't know. Is he doing it? Is he not? Who could who could say? I'll say this. I appreciate Finault jumping into that Ricky role where it's fun. Everybody gets lathered up. You know, oh my god. Is he going gonna win? This is, you know, it just provides a lot of entertainment. So I want to thank him for his stirling around a golf today

and I can't wait to watch him not win this weekend. Hmm, you're bad, bad dude. I mean, I honestly was not buying Fino coming into it. It has not been playing great, but it was his full display. He had a full display today, including the putt and 18. That's part of the experience. That putt, lagging a four footer on 18 as part of the Fino experience. But the ball striking was phenomenal. And gosh, if it is a ball striking, the win gets up tomorrow and you know, it's going to be about getting the ball on a string. That guy's got the ball on a string right now.

So I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I would like to see with the wind up tomorrow, hopefully. I think it's going to be like guys are going to be playing golf. So I'm playing golf swing. It's playing golf. And I think I both welfare species, teeth, leeshman. You know, I think JT's in that camp. Do you guys want to hear some live odds? Try to see the draft Kings to win? Would love to.
