Quick question, how does the recovery this morning the RV? It's stunk. Low. Not good. Yeah, it was not good.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I actually haven't even checked it because I don't want to know. Randy, boys, I was in the green. I'm telling Milwaukee. But you were probably back, you were probably, you know, at like a eight strain by the time you got to the course today, because the traffic was so bad this morning. Where do I start here? With a traffic, of course, all the way to the first traffic. I think we want to start landmark day for the US. Great. First things first.
Starting point is 00:02:26 It was flat this morning. Oh, it was extremely flat this morning. You know, I brayed, talked this up. I thought the Soulheim Cup was far more energetic in the morning than it was this morning. The first T was one of the weirder. It was, couldn't have been much more polar opposite than Hazel T.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Legitimately, eerily quiet. The chance would last for about six, seven seconds and they'd fizzle out and then everyone just kind of like stand around and like look at each other. It was very bad DJ. Well, there wasn't, there was no, we missed the Euro fans. Yes. To be quite honest, it's tough for the US to just be thumping their chest
Starting point is 00:03:07 when there's nobody, they're posturing to, nobody, nobody's egging anybody on. So it's hard to continue to chance stuff when you're chanted to your friends. And even the DJ is trying to do sing along, no one's singing. It's the US doesn't have any chance other than the USA and the stupid, I believe that we will win this dumb. It's sought out on that. I was saying to Solid, I kind of think they should have invested in some thunder sticks, you know. Well, they give you're as well another way to know it. The heroes do the synchronized clap, which is epic.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Yeah. Very cool. They were trying to get that going. And the heroes do is cool. We know that every single thing that they do is cool. So that's what we were talking this morning, and I'll hand up. I was a little rattled by how little juice there was.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I had said, you know, and we'll get into a lot of this, but I had kind of said, like, you know, I think it's gonna be a US route predicting 1711. Then we got out there and there was just no juice, no real like energy, no, it didn't feel like any home field advantage, right? And I was even early like, man could go it could be just early quiet all week I think the storm lasted about 10 minutes JT gets out there sticks it on
Starting point is 00:04:10 the first people start clapping it's like okay that was the storm and then it was all US I almost lost the pie man there for a solid 10 15 minutes like right before the first it maybe in between the first and second group T and off he almost bailed on the US really yeah because he's just like oh there's no home field advantage. This could be, this might be over. But then he, then he, interesting.
Starting point is 00:04:28 He flipped it at the bottom. He flipped it at the bottom. And he's, you know, he didn't, he didn't completely bail. That's a misrepresentation of my take. What I was saying was like, this was gonna be a plot. Now, we may have lost our biggest edge. And that's interesting.
Starting point is 00:04:40 You know what? Actually, the biggest edge might be, Stroke's gained. Mm. Well, what about Stroke's gained. Mm. Well, what about Stroke's gained in a quiet atmosphere? They're off the charts. You haven't run those models. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:51 I mean, you have no idea what kind of model I got. You asked one, five. I need some money, Carlo, modeling. I want TC and Randy to really enjoy the next two days of being able to fart on Stroke's gained until they're licking their wounds on a 17-11 defeat. Sometimes you just gotta play better. Like, you know what, you know what would represent
Starting point is 00:05:08 like playing really good at the end of the day? Stroke's gained. That's playing better. No, but sometimes it's just like, you just don't get off the bus. And like I think for the US, US one five of the first, like the first two holes in all four of the morning matches, US one five of the first eight of one and two.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Which is tough. That's tough to play from behind. You know, granted, you know, Europe came back, punched back on three and four and a lot of those matches, except for, I think the biggest thing in the day was like, Rory fucking stinks. It needs a recreative.
Starting point is 00:05:41 And I need, do you wanna issue an apology? Oh, you know, sometimes you get them wrong. You know, you've declared Rory dead for years for years I'm in all of a sudden you thought what he was gonna be Lazarus out there like a post it's like a post you know post Dead cat bounce. Yeah, they're gonna be freed up. You know, I thought he stung for so long Like just come out here and play loose No, no, I honestly think anything of you anything that like DJ was saying that a home field advantage Whatever that would be that would also fire Rory up and I didn't get to watch and play much today But he just doesn't seem to like the the the provoking nature from the crowd was not really there
Starting point is 00:06:20 And I think that's what actually fires Rory up. I think Rory's chip is gone Like he used to play like he had almost like this. I'm both the best player in the world, and I have a chip on my shoulder. And now he's just like, yeah, I don't know. I hope it goes well this week. Now it's like I'm super rich, and I have a young child and I'm tired all the time.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I think we talked about a lot of this kind of after the major season this year and how we feel about Rory. And I don't begrudge many of that, right? I think it's almost a natural evolution for a a modern-day athlete right is you just you make more money than athletes have ever made you have more exposure than athletes have ever had you probably get more worn out than athletes have ever have and I get why he looks that way and feels that way but it's it sucks to watch as a massive Rory thing. When it doesn't even like his his wedges are just so fucking bad.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I saw somebody tweeted this, say like this is actually, you know why this is the most fun week of the year? Because Rory can hit bad wedges and I don't bang my head up against the wall. That's good, that's good. But I mean, he's also, I don't know, he's got a carry polter around too. Like, again, 2012 was a long time ago and it's... That was the other big takeaway from the morning. It was just like, like, I want to issue a formal... Oh, thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Very, very strong apology to Team Rose. Oh, I thought you were going to be to be on a wild thought. That's big. You were, you know, like, yeah, when I run out of Team Rose on this team, then polter. Absolutely. It was done with you. Absolutely. With me? Yes. I don't Absolutely. He's done with you. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:07:45 With me? Yes. No, I don't care if he's done with me or not. If he wanted to play and begrudge me, that would be fine. But that's what we were saying the other night was, we were sitting at dinner. It just hit me like a freight train.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I was like, oh my god, they picked Polter instead of Justin. What the hell are you guys doing? Well, the biggest thing today was watching guys hit into 17. And it was like a litmus test of like it like if you're actually like a world-class player or not and there were some guys that just straight up like you know just a low like a heel cut like your boy weasperger. Yeah it was tough. It was tough. He wasn't the only guy. And there's guys just you know holding up a high draw because you're
Starting point is 00:08:23 worried. And then riding the win and it's like fuck that was a proper shot it was playing like 245 250 and it was it was the perfect line of man like there's only there's only maybe six guys in the world that have this shot right a lot of them are on the American team too yeah and watching the Bryson I got the the afternoon match we'll go we'll start with the morning But watching the the four ball in the afternoon with Ram Hatten Bryson and Sheffler on that hole was just awesome like watching Sheffler stepped up fresh off a birdie on 16 and hit this shot that just like came those just came out of the windows of rocket launch low shot Kind of right over that hill took the slow came in, and then watching him and Bryson
Starting point is 00:09:06 start working on what the number was, and I just heard him go right up to him, and was like, I took 20 off that one, they were just like vibing in terms of helping each other and saying like, helping each other with the wind, to catch all that one, and they were getting their numbers right all day. Bryson steps up, hit a good one,
Starting point is 00:09:21 Ram hits a solid one, then Hatton just flagged one back there. It was, I was buzzing. That was such a ball striking extravaganza to watch today. You can't fake it. I hate that phrase. You can't fake it around whistling. Like it's, you gotta hit,
Starting point is 00:09:35 you know, it's got really short fors and not really short fors, but it's got like 350 par fors. It's got a lot of mean. Like it's got a lot of short two shot par fors. Like little flip wedges. Yeah, little flip wedges. There's not a lot of short two shot par fours like little flip wedges Yeah, little flip wedges. There's not a lot of like 120 yard shots on this golf course It's you know big-ass par fours and little flippy wedges
Starting point is 00:09:53 So what was a highlight from this morning for you? Highly from this morning I you know, sometimes you pick the the match to follow sometimes you don't I kind of try to fall a little bit of speed I mean watching ramen Sergio just Strike the shit out of the ball. Ram was rolling in puts from everywhere. Sergio didn't really make anything, but was always putting Ram in a great spot. And Ram made almost everything he looked at in the morning, watching just, I don't know, I enjoy, even if, of course, I'm rooting for the US, but just watching class exhibition, like I
Starting point is 00:10:20 always love watching Stenson and Rose play because they just were such an awesome team to watch and getting to watch those two play up close I watch a lot of ROM today. He's very clearly the best player in the world just does not go away But yeah, Randy you want to apologize? I'm not ready to apologize yet. The things are certainly looking like he might be a Very good. You're talking to your PR team crisis management But you know, we'd like to see him win a little bit more and then we might revisit it. I think the like from that first match, I don't want to be here.
Starting point is 00:10:54 We talked about Ram and Garcia. Speed looked awesome. Speed was flagging and he had that look in his eye on the back nine like they won won 15 and 17. But I think I think the shot of the day, oh, of course. Of course. They did not win 15. They lost ramen. Oh, I'm sorry. They won 13 and 16.
Starting point is 00:11:12 I'm looking at the blue here. But, but speed that, like, speed, like I thought, like, speed was carrying around JT's dead corpse because JT couldn't make a fucking putt. It was so bad. That's not accurate. That is not. That is not.
Starting point is 00:11:27 He was going to the power to miss a couple putt. He was going to the power to JT mode though. He couldn't read him. He couldn't. The stroke looked bad. It was not good. Speed was not caring in the morning. And he and he hit the ball.
Starting point is 00:11:39 He looked a little, he looked a little pouty early in round two. And then he, you know, made the eagle on 16. He brought it back, you know, kind of changed the narrative at the end, but I'm surprised You know I can't I can't fuck you on nine. Well, but that was like I can't fucking hear you. Oh, yeah You haven't really done anything well I want to give JT credit because I think we've we've you know We've heard whiffs of pouty JT and he didn't turn into that. He flipped that match He got it got a point kept He got it. He got it. He got it.
Starting point is 00:12:06 He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it.
Starting point is 00:12:14 He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it.
Starting point is 00:12:22 He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. He got it. We'll get to that point there. We'll get to that. That's coming. Hold on. What was your, Randy? What was your highlight this morning? When they put Speed Shot on Shot Tracker, because I didn't realize how high up it went initially, and seeing that thing, it was a genuine thing. He almost fell on Lake Michigan.
Starting point is 00:12:37 I thought he hit the green. If he dove into Lake Michigan, if he just, he realized he couldn't stop, and he doesn't doubt what a style of pie got the newest Jack on award. That's in all time for selflessness. Just truly laying out for the team. Like that's it. Got everybody go home, like given the award right now. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:54 That was a high. That was an opportunity. I think in like, man, Sergio, Sergio's good. Yeah, like there's, yes, you know, he he's gonna get lost a little bit because of the overall score But you know him going out and putting up another point is it's impressive Oh, it's like most Ryder Cup points ever or one behind the lead for most Ryder Cup matches one ever something like that I mean, I feel like probably in Europe it I'm sure it's way different, but over here I don't think he he weirdly feels like he doesn't get Ryder Cup respect that he should right maybe
Starting point is 00:13:26 Polter just kind of hoovers it out. Oh, the reason they have so many guys that get so much I feel like Westwood really weirdly gets a lot of like oh god West played in the most he played in so many but like Sergio's been that guy for 20 years. He really ever sit. Yeah, that was a crazy step porter throughout last night that he's only sat in like Five sessions. I guess six sessions. And he's never said Hopefully they sit Roy both sessions tomorrow. What does team Europe have to say about sitting Sergio in the afternoon? No, I think that was the plan like that was the plan. That was always the plan. Yeah, but it's a dumb Stupid plan. Oh, well, yeah, I mean in hindsight you gonna send them five. I don't think you send a Sergio in his 40s
Starting point is 00:14:04 Five times. I just don't think you do, but I think this is the whole thing I don't want to hide behind like no no no you don't understand like this is the plan is nobody's going five So well, maybe you're gonna fucking lose then like these guys. You don't have that many horses You guys just take your chances Leonna McGuire at this whole I'm like I don't think the plan was to send her five, but when you have a horse and the taught, you write it. So I think the 40s though, isn't it different? I mean, maybe, but I think I've done it before when he's been in his 40s. It's like coaching a basketball game. You're trying to extend the game, right? I would rather roll the dice and take that chance on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:14:39 See if you can do it. Rather than I think it's going to be super interesting to see how this plays out. Because I think both captains have said that nobody's playing five and so I think that was it actually gave us a different pairing this afternoon with JT and like I think because tomorrow JT is going to have to sit out one and that means speed is playing with somebody else for at least one of the rounds like I'm dying to see I think speed and Fina would like rounds. Like I'm dying to see, I think, Spieth and Fina would, like I'm just, I'm dying to see Spieth play with other people besides JT. I don't know why I just am. And on that subject, it's interesting
Starting point is 00:15:13 because if they hold to that plan, you're gonna sit to your hottest players and Xander and Cantley for sessions. I know, and that's, I think, I think Sam's like an interesting, because the highlight of my morning was just the business Like mentality the execution by Zander and Can't lay just just I think the controlled detonation
Starting point is 00:15:36 I mean like or like or just got vaporized and blown out. I was actually just demoralized I mean it got to the point. They're surgical man. They were assassins. They were five up through five It got to the point where I'm like Fuck it like let's go let's go. Can they like let's do it. Let's do this thing And I don't want to take anything away from that But there was a half it was half and half done there like those they were playing well But also Rory and Polter were falling all over themselves and I want to give a big shout out We said to go ahead. I was gonna say because DJ and more a you. Oh, go ahead. I was going to say, because DJ and more of Kawa would that's what I was going to start of the morning.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yes. Like they were 18 that looked like. And I really didn't think the US was going to shake up things as much as they did. So it was kind of looking like I'm going through the pair and I'm like, wow, so one of JT speed or DJ more Kawa is going to have to sit. And if they already came up with the plan,
Starting point is 00:16:22 it's probably not going to be JT speed. And then a little did we know they were going to they already came up with the plan, it's probably not gonna be J.C. Speed. And then little did we know they were gonna totally mix things up in the afternoon, but it kind of looked like that's the pairing that you just ride, right until they can't go any longer. And I want to give a massive shout out to Dustin. He was kind of like, answered the bell. Yeah, he was a little for it. You guys gonna apologize?
Starting point is 00:16:40 I will not apologize. You guys have it. No. I told you he's not the, he's not Dustin's not the problem. He's like a community. I was going to go on the character of whatever. Because I was I was riding a couple of no. I was riding a couple nights ago is he apathetic. He was not that today. I also want to give a shout out to the big brother program. You know, the mentor mentee relationship between DJ and
Starting point is 00:17:03 more. So much at common. It looked great. It looked like those guys were vibing together. So that's good chemistry. I like that. That was one that we kept saying. I think that really felt like it could have gone either way. One where Dustin could have checked out Moorakawa could have not been great.
Starting point is 00:17:20 And if they were strong, it's like, do that is a mega strong pairing. Perings are in. They suck. Are we ready? I don't like it. You're that suck. First group out on the United States. Instant reaction from you big. Brookes, Kepka and Daniel Berger will go up against John Rahm and Sergio Garcia team tap ass. He tap ass. Berger looked so shaky down the street team i'd probably pick a big morning for burger tomorrow yeah he's got to play well tomorrow
Starting point is 00:17:52 match two representing the United States of America Dustin Johnson and Colin Morakawa against Paul Casey and Tyrell Hatton oh so bad bloke alert now Hatton might have found something there. Little confidence.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Yeah, maybe. Maybe. Hadn was like a good formal partner to play with the number one player in the world today because he came out of gate hot, birded through the first five and found something very and he disappeared. Hey man, I need like four whole times. He delivered him. He did deliver him, but he didn't look great.
Starting point is 00:18:26 His wedge play was really good. Match three. You see, we know we're going to lose one. Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth against Victor Hovland and Burt Veeceberger. I like this one. You like that one? I don't mind this one.
Starting point is 00:18:39 That's JT bias. That's their going to get to ask. So you just said you wanted to see Spieth play somebody else well a I wanted to see speed play with somebody else and then with speed no I'm saying I like I like hoveling and weasperer against I also think that like I thought it was bullshit that when they sit speed they should still send Greller out with one of the other groups and match four we have Zander Schoffley and Patrick Cantlay against Lee Westwood and Matt Fitzpatrick.
Starting point is 00:19:07 And we did leave that on my God. It's skin suit season out there. Are they trying to end it? Are they trying to? I was getting ready to sign a high pill on a lot of this episode. We're going to be like, hey, listen, six to two. Still 20 points up. Six to two is like way easier to come back from than 10 to six. And they've done 10 to to six before but we're supposed to have the horses in the bad that's late in the morning. I can't find the horses. Are they going to sit then all four of those Americans in the afternoon. I guess it'll be over by then maybe.
Starting point is 00:19:36 So Rory's sitting in the morning. They're hoping they'll have a lot of stray up deserves to sit. I have no problem with that. So so Rory and Lowry are sitting that's all right You're gonna sit Lowry twice. I think he's mismanaged Lowry. What the fuck? I think Lowe plays twice He's you're telling me that like Lowry's got a place he's gone all three. Yeah, I'm gonna go three. I would play K. Is it dog? Lowry's a fucking dog. I would play Lowy more than westwood or Fitzpatrick personally I think you need a guy like like like What seems like fits in westwood they just sit both of them in the afternoon, but it's like I like I'm putting lowery out
Starting point is 00:20:17 At least three if not I thought I made more magic. Larry made one birdie today Yeah, but he's I just believe in lower. Yeah, exactly. He was with Rory. He's got. He's got. Yeah, no, I hate to say I can't. I can't emphasize enough like Rory stinks. Like yeah, it's just bad. It's bad. Lowery brings some bloke too. He gives you a little bit of up. He's proud. I would have played him tomorrow morning. Rory made zero birdies and one eagle in four ball today. Whoa. Yeah
Starting point is 00:20:48 That's so bad. Are we ready to declare? Yeah, Neil and I are talking about I think there's we kind of rift on it We're kind of joke about it. I think there's a significant bloke shortage out there Yeah, the blokes have not turned up the the blokes from the fan perspective the blow points on the go We're watching the bloke it's tough it's tough you know we're calling all bloke yes and I've been sitting lorry is is you know exacerbating the problem in case he's doing his party's a bloke there it seems like
Starting point is 00:21:13 uh... herringkins rationing bloke switch we shouldn't be doing that right now you know we'll be sending all blokes out so sitting for the year is is rory polter polter fleetwood Fleetwood and Lowry. I thought Fleet like so you're gonna say man Like I don't know I think Fleetwoods like I'd rather die with Fleetwood and Lowry playing I think it's not that out like if I'm gonna die I want those guys out there over Fitzpatrick and Westwood basically
Starting point is 00:21:43 Yeah, yeah, or Whisperger. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I'd I'd rather die. I'd rather die with Rory playing like go down with Rory Like what do you think where he's gonna go? I'm with you. I think that's but it but it's like there's there's more to it That's right. I'm actually I mean like if you're in a mayor like if I what if Roy sits in the afternoon No way, I'd be sick. sick. No free. Maybe having a visit. Oh, hold on. I've this is all very new information. We're just processing but you're picking You're picking E.M. Polter And then you're sitting in a force him session
Starting point is 00:22:18 Which is all it seems like he's gonna find the reason he's on the team right and Man and you're sitting Sergio because nobody's arbitrarily gonna play five. This seems really off, man. They also just don't have, like, depth. And right on, it's like, your horses need to fucking go. But it's like, hey, like, singles are up for grabs, but we gotta get to singles first. You know?
Starting point is 00:22:39 Singles is where they're lined up the worst, actually. Yeah. P- P- P- P- P- P- P- singles is where they're lined up the worst actually. Yeah, Podrig may have done a few too many iterations here. He may be. But yet also he's kind of dealing with a tough hand. Like you might need to gamble a little bit.
Starting point is 00:22:55 I don't know what, I don't know how. That's what we're saying. And that's what I totally agree with you. But my opinion is he's gambling on the wrong guy. Sure. I, you know, very well could be. You need to hide your weaknesses, you know. A quick break here.
Starting point is 00:23:07 We're in check with our friends at Dream Golf. Starting point is 00:24:12 submit your entry and start dreaming. I don't think I'm ready to to quite move on from the morning session. Even are we? I mean, we have, I guess we we we burger and kept. Let's just go through the matches burger and kept it We're solid unspectacular. I thought good pairing up against looking for to see it again tomorrow It was kind of spectacular on the stretch from burger kept shanking. Yeah, that was Unbelievable. What's weirdest out was there for the shot on 17. It sounded so flush like it was not a shank Yeah, sounded so pure and we looked up and just could not believe where that ball was flying Sorry, honey. Is this a sport on the live show?
Starting point is 00:24:49 And no, it is not Popper in Yeah, and but they I mean I think if they draw a different pairing then Westwood Fitzpatrick who were they were not terrible But they were just were not not a fantastic pair and they're going back out again. God God, that's blown. You're appearing smart as blown. I'm the best lineup of the threes of our for the US. Yeah. That's that it's like projects lost the plot legit. It might be. God. Don't. It might be it might be 10 to 2. You know, Randy and I were legit might be 10 to 2. Where Matt one is Europe. Against stinky uh... Who are they got?
Starting point is 00:25:26 Team tapas. They got to play the first to catch me. Oh, the captain chose you. Ah, yeah, I like the Spaniards there. I definitely like the Spaniards there. I mean, I'm basically... I'm looking at it on the third one. On the third one, like,
Starting point is 00:25:39 Hovelin's gonna have to play. Hovelin and Whisperger gotta stop the bleeding. Make a little upset there. And then, I just don't see, like, Westwood Fitzpatrick feels like an auto loss. have to play. How the Luisburg got to stop the bleeding, make a little upset there. And then I just don't see like Westwood Fitzpatrick feels like an auto loss. I don't know how we're making puts in that one. TC and JT speed. I don't see them losing again. I know that's kind of what would the odd feel, but like JT down the stretch looked like so much better. I think they're we've talked
Starting point is 00:26:02 about how the US is I mean, they're big time front runners when they're, when they're up big, they love just keeping you down. Yeah. I don't see those guys losing. Bottom line. Like bottom line, I would feel so much better about, about the morning session. If instead of Westwood Fitzpatrick, you had Lowry Fleetwood in that last pairing. I would feel worse as an American fan. Yeah. And then be like, all right. Like, you know what? You got to punch it in. Mix it up a little bit. Instead, we're sending out the two guys.
Starting point is 00:26:29 They didn't even, I'm just so frustrated right now, because they didn't even, like, Westwood and Fitzpatrick had chances and Fitzpatrick gassed a wedge over the green on one hole Left one short coming in like they had fought back and won some holes in the middle of the round And then when they had their window they just kind of spit the bit. So yeah, just westwood was never he's not gonna start making putts now Like it just it's not the ball is not gonna go in the fact that the look on Andy Johnson's face What we're all standing up on the first tea andy of course a big time westy supporter and looking to open the day westy has a five foot birdie putt when fits hits it to five feet he goes oh
Starting point is 00:27:16 no and I didn't understand why it's like oh my god I just remember like that was it's just no universe where that puck goes in. It didn't even sniff the hole. And West was defense. It was a right to left. Or as a righty, I hate to have those. You need having no, it was left to right. No, I'm joking. It was right.
Starting point is 00:27:34 No, it was like the easiest puck you're going to have. Andy needs to apologize for Lee Westwood. I think it's where we are. Apologize, Andy. Rainer, Rainer tried to deflect apologies, because he's had to issue so many. I'm doing the math quickly. I think I had it at one point that DJ and Morakawa,
Starting point is 00:27:52 I think they shot 600 in four sums this morning. That's crazy. They were so good. Yeah. So good. Good for them, man. Yeah. What easy guys to root for? Thank you, DJ, for answering the bell.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Yeah. One in four in France is the number one player in the year. Got to think that kind of heard our chances. Well, who won the fight? The fist fight. That's true. He could have been, you know, he could have been two. I think they're both losers in that one. I think they're one, he may have been one in five. And ushering around Moorakawa, I would love if Moorakawa goes out in the afternoon as well. So we get a chance at that top score, bet. But that wraps up the morning. I mean, the morning I thought they'd get get a chance at that top score, bet. But that wraps up the morning. I mean, the morning I thought they'd get two and a half.
Starting point is 00:28:26 That'd be good. And then the four ball is going to line up great for him. It seemed like they cruised through the four sums better than they did even the afternoon four ball. But so let's go into the pairings for this afternoon on the US side. I mean, I think pretty much everyone was very surprised by that.
Starting point is 00:28:41 First time in Ryder Cup history that neither team played a same team. Like the same pair. Really? Yeah, really. I did not even by that. First time in Ryder Cup history that neither team played the same team. Like the same team. Really? Yeah, really. I did not even notice that was very surprised. We were standing out on 16 or closer to 12 and we saw the guys like putting the board out.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Yeah, we were truly shocked and really like wow. Did he grab the right name? Yeah, because he messed up a couple of names that they put up on the board. Some dude DM'd like with the exact four pairings for the US. Got him exactly right in the morning and I like almost replied to him, like that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I'm not that big.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Exactly right. But well, so we had the two pairings where we thought Bryson and Scotty and Tony and Harris English was, yeah, completely shook up the other two. So there is a, I saw some analytics tweets going around that are like, you have, and I don't know what the formula is or I don't really even care that much,
Starting point is 00:29:33 but it's like the guys that fit your four ball profile. And I don't know how you would manage that, or I'm sure it's a simulation thing that you'd run. Like if you and I, Carlos probably. Yeah, it's probably, you and I played four ball together versus you and I for some reason this would be better but I'm guessing that's kind of where this came from right because I didn't personally the one that I was mixed up with was JT Cantley I just felt like that wasn't
Starting point is 00:29:57 strength on strength well I felt like I feel like personality wise and and JT coming off what I thought was a you know not a great morning. Well especially like DJ Cantlay seems to make more sense and Zander JT seems to make more yeah. Yeah, so it just felt like they got a half out of it. So it's like I think that could have been more because Cantlay was playing so good in the morning. I feel like he kind of had to. Cantlay said afterward JT carried me around. I think it to watch that match got like drop from TV I don't know what the hell happened with that match, but I think some of it's like we kept missing putt So they showed those for the straight up like that was it like fleet we just kept missing putts. Yeah, you know
Starting point is 00:30:34 But it was funny to me to break up Xander and can't like three and two That's that was interesting. I'm not trying to salt the wounds, but like flee would always miss his point Yeah, that's the whole fucking point. That's that's kind of this is what I really thought they were We have a side here guys when you have a lead as Europe like you can't because I think I Think 17 favors the Americans in a big way like you're released a lot of you know a lot of the like the top shelf Americans Course because fit matter. Oh, course fit totally matters, right? And I wasn't necessarily for you.
Starting point is 00:31:08 That was for a lot of people that said that I've said course fit is overrated. It's like, no, no, no. Like this is a big boy ballpark that like the best ballstriker's are going to shine on. TC and I have concerns. It's not proper though. Yeah, it's wet as shit.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Talk to a couple of the agronomy guys. Look at this. They're truly lancetized. Don't even know. Don't even try to germinate. Let's station to station germinating a It's a maricolink baseball golf. It's it's not we told you this in 2013 when it was announced okay, you want to be the best at that fine. I will say though It's fucking spectacular. It's it's sweet. That's awesome sweet on TV. I'm so glad to hear you say that. It's a It's a sexy venue and good match playholes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think
Starting point is 00:31:53 God now I have to take off. I have to do it after TC just earnestly said that but just to pull back the curtain a little bit The boys are getting on the shuttle bus Boys are getting on the shuttle bus tonight. It's like all all right. Randy, we gotta go in on the course. I think we didn't leave it on the course. No, I certainly didn't. That's our own chance. No, I said we gotta set it now. I gotta say we gotta play this.
Starting point is 00:32:15 We gotta start lay it. We're grounded. We're grounded. We gotta start laying. That's not worth it. We're privileged. It's not a proper set up. It's a totally normal set up. You know, the wind's not a proper setup. It's a totally normal setup
Starting point is 00:32:26 You know the wind the wind kicked up a little bit. We got a little bit of proper golf out there 25 you know they're downwind 25 Like that here I know it's like that's what we're saying. It's never a proper course. It's not the setup issue It's not a can we go back to the morning this morning we're out there this morning DJ cuts off. It's maybe what six forty or so DJ stops playing he had missed like whiffed on like three songs in a row The vibes really shitty like the DJ I think the Mdusset Johnson the DJ L. Mix that was truly the third DJ I thought you were referencing and then all of a sudden all of a sudden they come out and they said you know what? Can we just get a big big round of applause for mr. Coler a big thank you for mr.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Another an unnamed media person was like I mean the guys making like millions of dollars off this event Like what thank this guy for Did he give one of these we didn't see him he was working well? I was looking like orson wells at the opening ceremony. Rosebud out the ass. Um, this is this is anodil. I would I'd like to to the whole course. I'm telling you, I'd like I'd like to move on to something that, you know, I would like some acknowledgement from that corner of the couch.
Starting point is 00:33:37 What a thought it would have came at this point, but I got to ask for it. As always, sound like Harris played really well today. Is this what you're getting at? Did Harris have eight threes and thirteen holes? I saw Tony they even finish, you know, they didn't even record a score for how many holes. Literally three of the holes he didn't record a score. I don't think anybody was expecting Tony to have a bad eye. I rest my day. That guy said he didn't want him on the Ryder Cup team. Oh, team i would absolutely left him at home thank you
Starting point is 00:34:06 although i will think the crowd erupted erupted this afternoon when fill came in because he jay was trying to pump up the crowd both this morning in this afternoon and it almost had the like it had like a a detrimental effect where it got less less positive and less and less enthusiastic and less and less enthusiastic.
Starting point is 00:34:26 And then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and And I think the US probably is still the favorites. And it'd be a lot of fun. Michael said it would be the only one playing five matches. Have you got to see a major champion? A major champion on a Pete Dye, you know, waterfront golf course earlier this year. Listen, big tone played by all reports. He played pretty well today. I will really say brilliant. I don't know if it was brilliant.
Starting point is 00:35:02 He was the best player on the course this afternoon. He was brilliant. Well, I didn't see much of it. So I don't know if it's brilliant. He was the best player on the course this afternoon. He was brilliant. Well, I didn't see much of it. So I can't put it in a cast on that. When Big Tone puts his ass off, you can cancel Christmas. Birdie on one, Birdie on five, Birdie on six, Birdie on nine, Birdie on ten, Birdie on thirteen, and close the match with the par on 15. And I want to stand by everything I've ever said about Big Tone, Stroke Play wise, all that. He was super endearing out there today.
Starting point is 00:35:30 He's getting the crowd riled up. He's a fun, fun dude to root for on the American side. He's awesome having him out there. Lowkey, it's probably the looks of the swaggy as two opening ceremonies. He was the first guy, so the first he's completely juiceless, as we've covered. He was the first player out there the first he's completely juiceless as we've covered. He was the first player out there walking out across the tee, trying to hype everybody
Starting point is 00:35:49 up. He was absolutely, he seems like truly like a really awesome teammate. Now do you feel really bad for him? No, I, what did I say up front? I stand by everything I've ever said. But do you feel bad? But I'm adding that to the tapestry. I did think.
Starting point is 00:36:02 It's a complex situation. I did think that, but I can't tell. Big tone was going to keep the crowd quieted I did think complex situation. I did think that black and white big tone was going to keep, you know, the crowd quieted down before he actually hit. I thought he was going to be the one to keep keep him going of, you know, potentially. I would say the biggest miss there. Biggest miss of the day was the fact that Bryson. I mean, he was teed up for him to step off that ball and and hit people and get get the crowd going. He didn't do it. I thought that
Starting point is 00:36:25 would that was the would have been the perfect handling. It's kind of gross here and people in the crowd this week like loving Bryson but being like, oh it's you know we just root for him this week. Bryson's got half point so far. I do not want this to be I do not want this to be redemptive story for Bryson. All of these people would be shitting on Bryce and completely fucking dead shit. And I am very, very fine agreeing with that. I don't think it is a redemptive story. One, no, we've seen this movie before.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Yeah, I think this is the Patrick Reed story. Yes, I think the hat is like a total game changer. Take the douchey hat off. That's a good hit. They're bad hats. He like looks spry. He looks athletic. Yeah, like, and I don't let it. I really enjoyed watching Bryce and today. They're bad hats. He looks spry. He looks athletic. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:05 And I don't let it. I really enjoyed watching Bryson today. I found him, I found like his stick plays so what? He plays it. He's so awkward almost every other day of the year. And the way he played the crowd today was honestly just perfect. It's the J.J. watch day.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Can you describe what he was doing with the driver? So on one today, he gets up there and he just gets gets out there. When it's his turn, he just like slowly ripped off the head cover and like held the driver up for the crowd to see. Then he gets to 13, which is 395. He was yo wet. Dead downwind. They like talk about it for a little while. He gets driver out and like he's talking about with Scotty. Scotty hits iron but Bryson puts the driver back in the bag and then when Scotty hits the fairway with iron He he takes the driver out and just again shows it all around to the crowd and then bought he like Fluid 390 into the green side bunker on 13. It was electric and it that wasn't even the longest driving hit
Starting point is 00:38:02 He won 417 on 5 so we we get to 5 team 78 yards was it in the park yards in and made the eagle because everyone loves chimed in Like oh made for though. What's it matter? But so he gets up on five and he goes and climbs the hill let like almost off the property to go find a line And then we killed that lady on one by the way, he did but that's that's fine That's in the budget. That's the boss for he did y'all for it did you know for yes, he did he did on lady on one by the way. He did, but that's fine. And didn't yell for. That's in the budget. That's in the office. He did yell for. He did yell for. He did?
Starting point is 00:38:28 Yes, he did. He did. On one. On one. They yelled for. Trust me, believe me on that. Believe that. And so he gets up there and we're standing
Starting point is 00:38:38 on one of the old T-boxes on five. And I was kind of like, oh yeah, he's going to bite off a lot. Like we might kind of be in the way. We moved like fit 40 yards more out of the way and he still hit it right over our heads. Like the line he took on five is something I could not have even pictured even downwind and knowing how far he's. So listen, all of our Bryson stuff, well documented, massive cheese dick.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Correct. Yeah, at all. With mega true. We've covered this. I hope there's a We've covered this. We've covered this. I hope there's a takeaway here, and he doesn't need to change his, you know, everything and try to bend to everybody's will. But I hope there's a takeaway on like, man, it's way more fun when everyone's like rooting for you.
Starting point is 00:39:16 It's like just a real humor. Check your ego because you're not going to control 8 billion people's like minds. You're not going to control the narrative. That's a myth. That doesn't work. Just get the ball really far. Your agent is not good enough to do that clearly or like that would have happened by now Just just check your ego that why does everybody love Rory? Why does everybody love spieth? Why does everybody love all these guys because they just are like hey man Hand up. I was wrong about this one. Oh, yeah I guess you know I should be a little bit of a human here
Starting point is 00:39:42 Just embrace that a little bit because there's all the ingredients there for everybody to root for you and to cheer for you. You just got to stopping it dick. Yeah. And he did and he played well with that. He had stepped up and played good. Three birdies in an eagle. I think he carded one bogey on 11. In that same match, I think the highlight of the afternoon was for me was something that didn't actually, didn't happen, but the moment before Hatton, no, on 18, Hatton, if he had missed
Starting point is 00:40:10 that birdie putt, I think he might have put his putter head through his skull. He almost putter in the lake on, imagining what he was going to do to his rightness. Yeah, I was like, oh my god, this could get really ugly. And I was like, hope he'd make it so that it would, I kind of want to keep it close here. So it's not a total blowout. I thought he was going to throw the putter in the lake on 17. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:40:30 And so then when 18 came around, he had to make that five footer, had to have it. You know, he did make it. So we'll never see, you know, what could have happened. It seemed like the all, almost, it's all on every team. The four ball partners, like no one covered each other up on birdies.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Like Bryson and Scotty, Zygden's Aged really well. Scotty kind of lost it a little bit there in the middle of the round. But Bryson was, Bryson was 400 through 8 and hit an awesome freaking shot to the back right pin downwind coming into the eighth hole. And him and Shephler, I mean, like, Shephler's probably the 12th guy on the team. And if that's your 12th guy on the team,'re gonna win a lot of rider cups like it's just that if that's like your what your depth guy Also say chef's good day chef. There's like a really good He's the guy they haven't had on the US team right that you can go out and make a shitload of birdies
Starting point is 00:41:20 He's he's a quiet like kind of a slow simmer. What kind of reminds me? Get so long with everybody. Kind of reminds me of Peters that year. Yeah, right? He can just like that shot on 17. Unproven talent that also has every tool. Yeah. And he's kind of an old soul. Like, he's not going to, like, like, I mean, like,
Starting point is 00:41:37 we were saying earlier, like he's, he's played in six or seven of these things. Right. But he hasn't played in one since like 94. He's back. Yeah, like we've covered, I mean, Ram was just freaking gonna be Ram. Harris English, I didn't get to watch any of that match,
Starting point is 00:41:52 but look like Fina was carrying the, but then like Harris was doing anything wrong, necessarily. He made a huge birdie for them on A, which is. He was freeing up my guy. Really? I, like, I don't want to lose sight of, like, I think it needs to be said,
Starting point is 00:42:04 like, I know we said at the beginning, like, John Ram is, like, i i i like i don't want to lose sight of the i think it needs to be said like i know we said at the beginning like john rom is like if you like when when and if europe loses this it's because of nothing to do it john rom he's like the bron on like the oh six cabs is like that of i thought it's like arix no he's been with arix no at the point and like he's he's dragging these dudes around Delivered Ova's
Starting point is 00:42:27 So he's someone yelled at him on 17 walley some of this Walley you're right Drew Goodern. Yeah, the crowd stuff has been tough somebody yelled him on 17 Like you got broad shoulders John, but you can't carry the whole team And it was kind of like like a like a little it's kind of a lame dig, but the whole like something out of Friday night lights But the whole team was standing there. It Australia called Patrick Rita Cheater, they just said, hey, you're a cheater, but they didn't say anything malicious. They just said, hey, you cheat it.
Starting point is 00:43:12 And at Liberty Nationals, same kind of thing. There was all sorts of stuff, but Tigers said something about it down in Melbourne. But the Euros or the international team don't really say that much about it when they're here. US teams like y'all, this is ridiculous. There's just I think I think there's a very big double one of your worst techs ever. This is the objection you're on. The opposite of the reality. That's all you're gonna complain every single time about the crowd in the US. Every time the euros, the euros never does.
Starting point is 00:43:41 The euros aren't no. tiger was bitching about stuff I mean Kessler Karein got into a fight We're gonna exclude the Kessler Karein Patrick Reed excavator shovel The cat said he was so disappointed at some of the stuff that he was hearing down and Down he shouldn't have picked him for the team. I'm gonna put that on the cat No, but even even besides read where I think both teams complain about when they're on for like that's European as they win a lot they win more radicals and they win the complaining I'm happy to shit on the American team that the US is not wearing that one no
Starting point is 00:44:13 that's they be Jackson your they complain about each other I think correct in the opposite way you know it's like pick up basketball everybody's calling like no you have a foul you know and then everybody gets mad because you call him too many fouls like that's that's a that's a mutual thing And there's been no complaining from the European so far that I've heard and there I mean some of the things said out there There's a couple things there like so I think like Wisconsin like football their football fans by nature Especially this close to green Bay. There's a lot more booing going on today. Yeah, which I'll push if you're booing Rory and Shane Lowry, your booze don't mean anything. Who's booing those guys? But that's just the horses.
Starting point is 00:44:51 That's the reaction. The opposing team walks through the tunnel at Lambo. Like we're gonna boo. They didn't really, like clearly didn't really know how to cheer. But like jeering, like players is part of like being a football fan too. And there's a plenty of like jeering the players. Even like Hazel's team was like mean spirited. And this was kind of like not as mean spirited
Starting point is 00:45:11 and emotional, but just kind of like weird like cheesy sports. You can definitely feel the effect of the alcohol. Laughter news. A.M. versus P.M. Afternoon was different. Like A.M. You know, everybody's been out there since two or three, you know, like for
Starting point is 00:45:25 like two or three hours and then PM, everybody's, everybody's on their fifth beer, sixth beer, or mixed drink, and you know, and it's like, hey, like there's a, there's a, there's a definite shift in tone, right? Big tone. Shout out to Big Telling, of course, the eternal shot to Big Telling. Um, what else, who else we got to cover here? Do we? What about?
Starting point is 00:45:46 What about hoblin? They seem comfy. It seemed like you settled in down the stretch there. He just needs more. I think so Dustin and Shoffley against Whisperer and Casey. It was two and one. I mean, they were three up through five and then Whisperer and Casey kind of fought back. You know, and we're one up through five. And then we just bring in Casey kind of fought back.
Starting point is 00:46:09 And we're one down through nine. Like it was a huge putter 16. It was pretty close there. And you know, about like kind of the start of the front nine. It was, I think it was Europe was up on two. There was another tie and the US was up like three or four on one of the matches. And then, you know, that one got away from the case, the match, match three started to get away from the US. And that was where it was.
Starting point is 00:46:32 That was that that turned into a snowball. Yeah. And that was where I was like, like, like Rory, like, grab your sack and get in the game or like, leave. I think if, you know, I don't know if Rory tunes into these shows at this, at this, you know, late this late night, but I'll just, I'll say 16's a par five, 17's a par three and 18's a par four. In case like he hasn't gotten that far yet. So in case you need to know what the, what's the, it's disgusting. It's disgusting. Rory hasn't made a birdie yet. Seriously? No, you said that earlier, or like, in the afternoon, he didn't make a birdie.
Starting point is 00:47:11 Did they make a birdie? He made a birdie. He made a birdie. He made a birdie. Did he and Pold's combined for a birdie and then they had to. They had to, right? Let me check that.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Oh, it's amazing. But it's something like we have to actually check that because we're not positive. Let's see, you guys can banter. I'll check that because we're not positive. Let's see, you guys can banter. I'll check that. I love that. They did.
Starting point is 00:47:29 They birdied the 10th. They birdied the 10th though. No, just one. They just birdied the 10th. No, they birdied the 12th too. They got 12th. And 13th. They made a little run there coming in.
Starting point is 00:47:38 That was a true like no one beats, no one gets his 8th down. Yeah. That was the dead cat bounce on those guys. But I'm a little annoyed that the European pairings are seam. We'll see what happens, but they seem as bad as they seem, because I think these guys are going to have a scapegoat in Patrick Harrington rather than... Oh, I'm ready to... I'm ready to do that.
Starting point is 00:48:00 Yeah, which is kind of... Six bosses together. We're ready to just Keep going like this. T.C. if we need to we can we might need to take over the operation tomorrow Well on Sunday or Sun cuz I'm like that's my whole draft Kings thing. I'm not betting anything you're gonna get a vote in no confidence Come on, I didn't bet it a I'm not betting anything tomorrow I'm gonna do like a superhines on Sunday. We need to make sure we have the proper matchup. Exactly. Exactly. The proper guys are fresh and everything. You know, hopefully we front load it. So listen, we haven't talked about the weather. Fortunately, it looks, I was just going
Starting point is 00:48:34 to say, though, fine, I don't know if it's on Patrick to to make up one of the biggest talent gaps between two teams that we've seen in the last. But he's like, no, he's going to say. I think he, I hope he doesn't turn into a scapegoat for off. We just what a, if we just what a got in the pairings right now, dude, I, this seems pretty outgunned. Is it over? No, no, no. Okay. T.C.
Starting point is 00:48:59 I mean, there's got to be a miracle happen because these pairings suck. Like, that's the thing. It's like, you're not not, like it's not over, but at the same point, you're not putting us in a great position to get back either. You like our minus 1,000. They're one to 10 to win right now. Europe is plus 900.
Starting point is 00:49:17 I might be by the dim time, TZ. I'm kinda Randy, I'll be the last. God, it's cool to see you. I think it'd be like 12 to 1 or 13 to 1. There's only been eight points out of 28. There's 20 more points to go. We're so early in this to see. US needs eight and a half and Europe needs 12.
Starting point is 00:49:35 I was so bullish when we were coming back to the RV tonight until I saw the pairings. Yeah, you should not have been bullish before you saw the pairings. Well, that's where I just, I don't get what like freak thing happened for the US to just dominate today. Like it just seemed like it was like, yeah, no, that, that seems like what was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Paul Casey seems like I don't know what's going to change tomorrow. But like Casey Westwood fits Patrick, but Casey always does that. Totally. But like, you know, sometimes like maybe not in the router cup. He does that in stroke play, but you know, maybe not in the router cup. Some of those puts go in, right? Like we knew Rory has been a little questionable, but like Rory no show that that happened. For him to play like 29 of 36 holes today was you just can't have that.
Starting point is 00:50:19 I think at some point, all right, Rory, like if Rory shows up and gets even a half point, all right, it's five and a half, two and a half. It's a three point gap and sort of a four point gap. Like, like little things add up to a big difference, right? I think also, like, I think what you're missing is going back to the, what we talked about two nights ago, where you've got, you just don't have that veteran depth of the guys that have been there. So a guy like Martin Kimer, who's 36 years old
Starting point is 00:50:50 and should be in the prime of his career, like is off, you know, probably in the Maldeep's right now and just hanging out. He's here. He was in assistant camp. But, nevertheless. I designed your team. actually on the first t listen really uh... all apologize to him in the team
Starting point is 00:51:10 speaking of martin kimer i did want to go back to a point you made earlier that kind of cloked with me on about this not being a proper golf course and ask how many americans have won the majors here which would be zero well you know well dj dj should have won should have won the majors here but but instead learn Kimer one correct So I got these not here. That's that's the problem. It's like more Kimer should be us
Starting point is 00:51:31 Kimer's both got course fit and he's a leader on the past year at Euro rider cup teams are like Peter's Kimer ain't solving this it ain't Kimer. It's not enough young worse Francesco. Where are you? Well, let's go over the worst course fit ever one good writer cut sleeps with the fishes you need like burgers kept as shuffles speeds it's a common world and what you're all franking now's they like this is a fucking good team this is what i'm gonna have to i'll probably repeat this but
Starting point is 00:52:00 this is what we're talking about last night i offered you guys this financial advice it was thursday night before the matches kicked off I said guys I hate to say this but as your financial advisor the team year up market This might we might be at an all-time peak and if you're gonna sell you should sell right now before the matches start because I think we're about to To hit about a 15 year 20 year bear market. I think you're gonna hit the low Tomorrow after the morning session and then we're gonna have it then we're back Bucking stand out. I think I just think it's course. It's course. It's course. Some of it is course This place kind of reminds me of Randy. This place reminds me of Kings Barnes a little bit
Starting point is 00:52:35 It's like a set of fake tit. Huh? It looks really really really good. Yeah, then you get in there and it's like It's not quite the real thing. It's not quite the real thing. It's always been the take for Liberty National. Your, your, your, your, Liberty National doesn't even look good. Oh, it looks okay. No, I just, I just,
Starting point is 00:52:51 I just mean, if you're talking about the, the, the, the crem-day, the crem of golf courses, like, they, they, you know, you got a couple guys on the American team that are, candy, that are really, truly proven. And then search and we need to wrap it up.
Starting point is 00:53:04 No, you got, you got chefler I'm a burger fina I forget who else is on the American team feed me some names Neil Sheffler Zander can't lay I mean these guys haven't won majors is my point like like let's get them to some of the the world class Best of the best golf courses. This is the courses like my golf national I'm just not any better over there. Like the go to go to rural Melbourne and I don't have as much confidence. That's in Australia though Randy. This is the
Starting point is 00:53:34 rock. Well exactly but that's what I'm saying. Like this is just target golf and they're really good at golf swing. Congrats. Like they do host majors here that's the whole thing the news and is it happened i expected i just listen listen i'll reach content why do you guys take to say i don't think they're they're not i'm an earth is guys are generational players i think i agree i agree there i think i think well he just said roms general player we got him to say that
Starting point is 00:54:09 But I'm willing to reach across the aisle a little bit if you guys will apologize For slandering DJ's name I will not apologize Right you did I will not apologize DJ I have wanted all I needed to see was this I didn't say DJ couldn't do this I was like I want you to rise to the occasion DJ. I want you to do exactly what you did today And I I started the show saluting him with that. I am proud of you credit already now has a 500 listening now is a 500 writer cup I think listen was it was a tough day for you guys Take tonight. Why don't you work on your strategy? why don't you work on your scapegoats?
Starting point is 00:54:45 Let's go hang with Ziggy now. I would love to see you guys come back a little stronger tonight because your effort here has been poor Yeah, I just hate to see you guys. I got nothing scoreboard. I got nothing one day. Do you want to triple down then? I mean Yeah, we'll need odds. Yeah We'll bring an offer to you I just do we did we pick big enough margins? Is the question. All right, here's a question. Here's a question.
Starting point is 00:55:12 All right, six to two. Would you guys take the rest of the way? I think they play all the matches out, right? Yes. Six to two. Would you guys take? You as minus four? Well, no, just zero, zero ball game from here on out.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Who gets more points? US. Yes. Yes. Hondo P. I mean, I've been trying to say this for like six years now. Yeah, because I didn't think the pairings for the the euros were that bad today.
Starting point is 00:55:41 What are you even trying to say this for six years? They stink. The ass is kicked in France. And I was wrong about that one. And I think we're trying to send this for six years. They stink. As is kicked in France. And I was wrong about that one. And I have raised my hand on that. But I've been saying, this talent is different. It's game changing. It's tough because of it paring today.
Starting point is 00:55:53 We're like, oh, that's those. Some of those are pretty good. And do you want to go through our stinks? Can we go through some odds for tomorrow's matchups? Yeah. We'd love to. Keppka and Berger first, Rom and Sergio. This kind of surprises me a little bit. It's pretty even. Keppka and Berger versus ROM and Sergio. This kind of surprises me a little bit.
Starting point is 00:56:05 It's pretty even. Keppka and Berger are minus 105, ROM and Sergio minus 115. I would think it would be like minus 125. I would have thought that Keppka and Berger would have been plus money. But DJ and Moorakawa against Casey and Hatton, DJ and Moorakawa minus 135 versus plus 115.
Starting point is 00:56:23 So it's a close time. So it's a close time. So it's a close time. I do do think like kept a set price set around and play video games and worked out all afternoon. Like he's going to feel great tomorrow morning. I didn't have to do shit this afternoon. I saw three out of the four guys that sat this afternoon out on the course watching. It's all say which like honestly though, like if kept is gonna be like, Victor Dupuison, just go ahead. Like, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:56:47 I don't need, like, I don't need. I don't always set in the preview. Where it's like, listen man, the critical mass is good. If a couple guys want, you know, you mean out loud. One off guys want to be outliers, like, you know, man. It looks like the rest of the boys are having a great time. Match four, match three, Justin Thomas Jordan's
Starting point is 00:57:02 spieth against Victor Hovland and Vsburger's speed and JT are minus 165 first Hovland and Vsburger plus 145. I might I might lay my first bet on that one. No respect for for Vsburger. Lastly, Shoffley and Cantlay minus 190 against Westwood and Fitzpatrick. Shafley can't lay it. Mine is 190. I get to plus 160. Yeah. Yeah, it's not good. But you know what? What was it?
Starting point is 00:57:32 TZ is 190. It's minus 300. They don't have to be the best team every day. They just have to be the best team tomorrow. What is Patrick looking at? Or what are these stats guys? What are the stats saying that these, all this analysis and all this,
Starting point is 00:57:47 you know, all these analytics don't seem to be matching up with the eye test of like what, what common sense seems to be. I think the analytics are coming back, like, yo, programming it. Like, we're talking either way. Programming error, like, redo your inputs because, yeah, I just, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:04 I feel like they're gonna get to the end of this week and be like, you know, well, our plan was to have nobody play five. And you know, we feel really good about that. Yeah, we lost by six. But it's like at some point, like, well, we did stick to the plan. If a few of the guys are tired on Sunday morning, but you're in the mix, that's a win versus like, hey, we're like, there's no chance going into Sunday. Like, I mean, I've been, I've been lukewarm but warming on Stricker.
Starting point is 00:58:29 And I'll say, I mean, my instinct was to throw my hands up at the afternoon pairings, but for once I didn't overreact and just said, you can trust me. It's probably new, exactly what was gonna happen. The wrong thing would have been to do is after some hot play this morning, switch up from what you had planned into just writing the hot pairings. And you know what I think something,
Starting point is 00:58:47 something that Harrington could have done, you know, strikers gonna send out dogs in the first pairing, is if you know you're outgunned and you know you've got like a super weak one, send out like your weakest team in the first match. Well, it's hard though, because I mean that turned in their only point for the morning no for sure but that was also like that was i think i was there strong team it's like you're gonna get that
Starting point is 00:59:13 one way or another and they can't do that this afternoon but you know that they're gonna send out kacy and visperger felt like some sacrificial lambs but also but also him sending out kacy all three of the, like the first three sessions says that he doesn't think that Casey's one of his weak links. Correct.
Starting point is 00:59:31 So, so I would think, you know, all right, you send out Westwood and Fitzpatrick and you say, you know what, Westy, you're, you're a veteran, we're going to let you lead us off here even though you're thinking, all right, this is probably our weak link this morning. You know, and then you kind of backload it and instead of, you know, instead of knowing you're going to get that first point or a half point out of that first one, you say, all right, we're going to lose one, but then we may get two and a half on the back end here. I kind of like strikers play and throw in Keppkin, Berger out first. No, it's probably going to be Ram Sergio. It's kind of like, we'll give you a banjion one. And then having JT, spieth, and you know, Zander, can't lay batting clean up. That's I'm scared about like I think I think
Starting point is 01:00:14 Capka comes out and plays well tomorrow. What's the score tomorrow night when we're doing this show? We said 97, maybe 90 and a half six and a half T.C. I'm going 11, five. I I will say this in all sincerity. I'm looking forward. I think team Europe they're proud and I think we're going to get their absolute best efforts tomorrow. I'll say that 100% serious. And then I think I actually think Polter comes out tomorrow afternoon and plays well and for all. I'm not asking you to embarrass yourself with a take here. Okay. Just a simple score.
Starting point is 01:00:48 You don't have to go out above and beyond. No, I think I think we're going to be in serious trouble mid-day tomorrow. And then I think Europe comes in and wins like 3-1 or 3-1-2-1-2-1-2. I think there's a session after noon tomorrow. I think there's a session out there where Europe's going to go Split or three one, but I think it's I think the US is going to dominate probably three one again in the morning Yeah, I just don't and maybe you get a split in the afternoon. So I think Would you say 11 5 5 3 tomorrow? I'll say 10 6 is the Bolton board but 10 6 feels worst case scenario for the Americans
Starting point is 01:01:23 Which is basically a tie to my. I think it could easily be 9-7 going into singles. I think it can. I don't think it will, but I think it can. 10-6 good because I think that yours will find a little bit of magic somewhere. So what? 9 and a half, 6 and a half?
Starting point is 01:01:36 Probably, I don't know where. But like the line, that's worst case. Several matches came down to the end of the day. Some weird stuff could happen. Some other pucks could go in. 18th hole has been an issue for the US in a lot of rider cups It was not great today. They lost one and they didn't get I mean yeah They they lost a half point on it today and That's a half for making a birdie there more you guys. How was your first day at a rider cup official?
Starting point is 01:02:01 It was kind of a bizarre so was this morning that the morning that we went out and went to the first tea. Yeah. That was this morning. Yes. First day of the match. It feels like it was really an hour ago. It really does. You go, you lining back up for the first tea tomorrow morning? It's a good question. I think so. I would like to apologize for overhyping the first two experiences. Well, I want to keep it all in perspective. That's not your fault. I think that's just, I know it is, but I'm not
Starting point is 01:02:29 apologizing. I want to try to, I'm that brave. I want to try to baseline this, because I don't want to be just like, oh, you know, I know everybody's favorite thing in the entire world is going to the Ryder Cup and it's the greatest sporting event you will ever go to. And all these guys went and are just dumping on it. I'm trying to just be fully transparent here.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Self aware that like this very lucky thing, I can't believe are just dumping on it. I'm trying to just be fully transparent here. I self-aware that like this very lucky thing, I can't believe we got to do it. It was unbelievable, but yeah man, thought it was gonna be louder. It was a weird experience, eerily quiet, and just a little like disappointing. How many of you been to fully transparent? Team events I've been to, 2016 Hazel team, number one,
Starting point is 01:03:02 first T, 2012 Medina number two 2018 France 2021 Soulheim Cup 2020 Ryder Cup Hazel team or Wishing straights up at 50 times, but that was I couldn't but not believe that scene this was weird and it's what's tough Is and this is just a Ryder Cup thing in general is unless you have inside the ropes pass, which we don't it's like It's you just can't see anything man. It it's hard you got to camp out and wait for hours until groups come through. So in on Friday Saturday there's only there's only four groups on the tea or on the course at a time and in the mornings there's only eight balls in play on the entire course. So when the first
Starting point is 01:03:41 TV feels flat it was it that feels like a big part of the day kind of missed out on. So I hope they bring those. Got some good, well placed TVs out there. That's what I was going to say. Big jumbo trunks. So watching that with the lake in the background. Like it's some good spots to post up. Talking to some guys walking in, it was like, well, you know,
Starting point is 01:03:58 if the alternative is you're going to stay at home and watch it on TV, you might as well sit in a beautiful grandstand and look at the lake and watch it on TV and cheer and cheer and maybe see a couple grandstand and look at the lake and watch it on TV. And cheer and cheer and maybe see a couple of groups come through. But it's tough sliding out there. Shout out to our cool. And you guys, you guys got to ham it up with Jim Nance today who was supposed to join us on the live show. But I can't emphasize it enough. You got to throw me under the bus. I can't emphasize it enough. The strap ho is we're wedding and their beaks in hospitality.
Starting point is 01:04:26 We weren't we going. We're doing some stuff with BMW. Seth was basically like, there's a, you know, we're filming something. Seth was comes up and he's like, you guys are no-ling up guys. How about that? We end up talking to him for like 90 minutes, two hours.
Starting point is 01:04:44 We, Nance comes up. we talked to him for half hour. Chipper Jones was sitting in front of us. That's shit that happens at the Ryder Cup, man. It was fun, it was fun. I saw MJ was out there. I mean, you know, all the fun. It's a top shelf, top shelf booze out there, great. Neil thought he was eating a spot show.
Starting point is 01:05:03 He was actually just spooning salsa. We don't't know we don't know that we're slightly spicy salsa listen you're on a roll t.c. we'll stop it story of the day that's it true goes to the buffet comes back has a bowl of what he appears to be chunky tomato soup or maybe a despot show i'll give you that i thought it was a hearty like a vegetable chili. Okay. The thing is, there's corn kernels. And you don't see corn kernels in a despot show.
Starting point is 01:05:30 They have a little in it though, and there were soup in that kind of an- But there were no chips. There were no chips around it either. So how was your salsa? There's no freaking chips. Was this salsa? I think it was salsa.
Starting point is 01:05:39 It was good. Well, because when I took a bite, it wasn't hot. What's funny is he asked me in the line I have a photo of Of the moment he realized I'll try to hold up to the webcam He asked me in line what the soup was because there was a soup and I was like it's vegetable beef Well, and he comes back with a big That's a big red bulls for that. That's what I thought like vegetable There's kind of a I thought there was beef and now that was like chilly, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:06:03 and we had we had we had And then and then DJ there's no signage either nobody nobody Fucking told me hold on and then DJ DJ says DJ says to Neil He goes hey Keith Pellies over there. You want to go talk to me? Neil used to I could see all of this like I felt like a limitless or something I could see all this I knew exactly how this was gonna play out Oh, no, and I go oh nearly you should go chop it up with Keith Pelley blue glasses. Yeah, of course European tour commissioner And Neil gets way too excited because if he knew it was a European tour commissioner
Starting point is 01:06:36 He would not have gotten this excited. Oh my god. Yeah, I thought I was he's like oh I'd love to go talk to Keith Pelley. Where's where's he at and he's looking right at him. There's one guy there. He's got just I don't see him I was like you think I'm talking about Scott Pelley. Don't you? God, I was so psyched to go talk about 60 minutes And then you've got you got Tough day for Neil great Jay JP McManus rolls in it just like it was hit only. Chipper? Yeah, yeah, chipper.
Starting point is 01:07:05 We didn't get to ask him about the franchise. Deep. Well, Neil, God, this also might not even have been your most embarrassing moment of the day. Oh, God. When Bamberger, I guess, stole my stuff, too. That was tough. That was tough.
Starting point is 01:07:19 What happened? Well, my strap brother over here, big time, mate. We see Bamberger walk in maybe 20 yards You got these towards us big bow his headphones got big. Those headphones big. We're like a group of six I'm actually in the back. I see Bamberger. I start waving to him. I guess kneels at the front of the path Hey Michael and and you know, he just like Didn't didn't see me maybe it was truly like this is up against the show. I was just a pelch.
Starting point is 01:07:46 Yeah. And I got I got a trauma behind me. Cody and they're all just like, oh, do that was bad. That was really like because it was a hand up. And then back, you know, not good. Well, it makes you feel better DJ and I talked to him for like 25 minutes.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Oh, yeah, I'm gonna feel great. Couldn't have been what you know what? I love that I ended this episode with just a complete shard. I'll shit on myself if he wanted to help save the, I walked, I walked with Phil for so much of the day and didn't talk to him for like a really long time. Finally, we're just like standing right next to each other
Starting point is 01:08:17 and I was like, hey, like excited for you to come to Jacksonville in a couple of ways, he goes, oh yeah, yeah, me too. So we just hit it close on 12. It just immediately started talking to somebody else. He wasn't talking to anyone until I said something to him, and he immediately just turned and was like, yeah, me too, me too. We should get filled up by the Jaguars.
Starting point is 01:08:35 Ooh, that would be interesting. That would be entertaining. Phil would also move the Jaguars if we're trying to get her to prevent moving. Probably to saw him maybe. I would rather Phil move the Jagu and shotgun own them and urban myer coach I think that's the end of the show. I think we're there. I think we're there. Thank you everyone for tuning in This was fun. We will be back for another show tomorrow night. Of course And excited to watch the Americans continue to romp. Cheers. Cheers
Starting point is 01:09:03 Pajra, get it together, guys. It's gonna be the right club. Be the right club today! That's better than most. How about it? That is better than most. Better than most. Better than most.
