I worry that it's sustainable. You know, frankly, I worry about his health. Do you want to look at the sustainability models with me? My associate T.C.

He's told me for years now his back is on the Verge, is being blown out. A TCs big, his biggest champion for years now. I know, I know. I think an older guy like Scottie's also got to be looking at what Tigers do and taking a lot of inspiration from that. That's true. I think he has that going forward. but I did say it was a top 20 to 25 player in the world. But tomorrow's another day. Exactly. I think a lot of people think this tournament's over, and I don't think it is. Well, let me ask you this. I mean, I I'm with you on that one right now, and that makes total sense Sustainability models check out very very well for mr. Scott Sheffler. He is plus 0.602 strokes game T-degree, plus 1.59 strokes game putty. So he is getting it done all across the board. I don't really know what that means. He strikes me as a guy though that just... You'd be worried if he was making only making putts, like you just said he was only doing,

and that's not accurate. No, I'm not just doing that, but he's made a lot of par putts from outside. I enjoy watching him play. Plus made a lot of birdie puts today too. You know what guys that make a lot of par-puts do? They win tournaments, which is like your thing that you must do.

You like hate on Fee now because he doesn't win enough. Scotty literally wins three times and he's probably gonna go in the masters. I think. Are you calling it? He's gonna win. Oh, what? It's not over, but I would, he'd be my pick to win.

It's number one golfer in the world. The best golfer in the world. But Randy, I was legitimately trying to understand the eye test situation. Of course. Because I agree with you that when I watch, Shephler, he doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't look repeatable.

Yeah, it doesn't. It looks like he's kind of struggling. Yet it is repeatable, please. But it's fun to watch. And that's what I like, I'm rooting for him. So like, are you, I honestly would like, I kind of forget all Get it is repeatedly. But it's fun to watch. And that's what I'm rooting for him. So like, are you looking for him? Well, that's what I honestly would like. I kind of forget all what I said last night.

I was a little sleep deprived. But I don't think I said he was just flat out bad. And I also just said, I don't think I said that I don't like him. I enjoy watching him. I just, when I think of best golfer in the world, which they've called him, because he's ranked number one in the world.

To me, he doesn't pass that eye test. The comment here says, don't give him the stick, says Randy is playing the contrarian since TC isn't here. False TC is here on the couch. He just arrived. He's not watching golf today. So he will not be on the show, but I think he's coming over to beat up Randy right now.

I just want to say one thing. You should on Rory for the whole. Like, you know, Rory's a throw or not a pitcher. Rory passes the eye test, but can't get the ball in the hole. Scotty, maybe he doesn't pass the eye test, but he knows how to get the fucking ball in the hole. Stern, but fair. That's fair.

he's the feet, you're right, they're all over the place, but it's because he's trying to do things to the golf ball. I try to manipulate the golf ball at all times, and I like that. I think Sully said something to the preview that I definitely agree with, which is a lot of the stuff is, the I test has a lot to do with winning majors, right?

And what's you? What's Scottie wins this week? And we come back around to Augusta next year. All of a sudden, he feels like a lot different player, right? That's how Hanecki feels as he's rising up the leader board. So I'm kind of, I'm with you in that place. Yeah, he had one 45 days ago.

He had never won a PGA tour event. So we're in that in between. We're in that awkward puberty of his career right now. Yeah, we might be breaking out. Exactly. He's got acne all over his face, you know, and I think he goes and gets it, you know, gets a dud this week. See, I thought, and then he becomes a new man.

I thought last night was a very intentional, like obvious bit, and now I'm worried it's not. Like I'm worried for your safety. I think my client found himself a little out of her skis. I think we'd like to maybe request a recess and maybe get back to you guys tomorrow. We'd like to huddle, but I would like to see what the record, the official record says.

I don't like that he's demanded to represent himself in this argument. Did anybody else feel like they blinked and like, Shetler was up by five? I just, it felt like, and to Randy's point, it is kind of a slow burn. It's like, oh, yeah, well, I guess, yeah, he made Bernie there.

And he'd Bernie four out of five. He did all the, all the holes you're supposed to. We hit like every single shot in the exact spot. Maybe the telecast was a little focus on the cat. He had a horrible second shot on 13. No, that was intentional. He wanted it over there. Into the photograph.

He slipped and, yeah. He slipped and tensed it. He slipped that push. Yeah, that's okay. He's really get the angle of the right side. Yeah, gotcha. It's like a tennis kind of like shooting down the right line. You gotta remember he's been playing there

for 35 years now. But they changed the course a lot on him. You know? That's the big. That's the thing. It favors experience. You know what, it sorta felt like bear with me on this. This, Scotty is not the next tiger.

But it kind of felt awful. Geez. It kind of felt a little bit like when Tiger was on his way up, like him blowing the tournament away, and on the other side of the course, Jack Nicholson would be finishing up, and the cameras would be volume. When the cat was finishing up on 18,

it was like, oh yeah, Scott, he's like, Dominain the tournament, but let's get eyes on the cat right now. That's what it felt. I mean, a freaking five shot lead through 36 holes is. Not only that, man, like it's golfing.

I know he's unconscious right now, and I know he has one, whatever, is it three out of the last five, And I know he has one, whatever, is it three out of the last five, three out of the last six, whatever it is? But like, he still got to number one in the world two weeks ago. He's still like trying all this stuff on, right?

Like it's a weird, he space that he's in right now. And he shows up to the fucking masters and grabs a five shot lead through 36 holes. He's unbelievable. And he was not a common pick on our end as far as to win this tournament. Well, I think we, we kind of, well, first of all we're idiots,

which is well evidence at this point, but I think, you know, just kind of seem like, oh, he's gonna be gassed, he doesn't have that much experience there. I can't possibly keep it going. Thought he was gonna kind of turn back into a pumpkin a little bit. So fair play to him, that's a good thing. Through like no fault of his own. Like if he was like 15th right now,

we wouldn't, it would not be an indictment of him in any way. Okay, question for you, okay. The last boy wonder from Texas to blitz the masters, obviously, speed. Two questions. What happens if Sheffler wins by seven, eight shots, right? What does that mean? And then what happens if he blows this lead and does not win?

What do we say about him? Well, deal with that when we get there. Okay. It's a good question. We're not gonna pre-berry him for blowing the metal, but we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're pre-slurping though a little bit. Oh, I mean, I'm extremely impressed.

I've not put the green jacket on him. I think he'll win it, but like that's incredible golf through 36 holes. Well, let me ask you this. Will you acknowledge that he does have a five shot win? I will acknowledge that. I will. If he wins though, that's fair and square.

Five shot lead. A historic, you know, like entrance to the stage, like WWE shit, like yo, you know, he's just, he's doing the right Lewis coming out of the tunnel. He is. Like I'm here to stay. What do you think that if he wins, what do you think the next term he plays is?

Like does he just take some time off? Does he just, does he just hang out? I think we can tackle that one after he wins. No, Randy asked a question though. I'm trying to bump gaming in out in my head right now. Like that's, I think that's a historic entrance to like I'm not going anywhere. Yeah.

I'm sticking to number one for a while. I know, but we're just like mathematically, he's gonna be at number one for a while. That's what I mean. Like stacking all these up, he doesn't have to play anymore. So historic run. Yeah.

Also, there are no dogs in the field either, so it's a little bit of a crown. That's interesting. What do we say? I think there's two adults. Who are the grown men? I think there's two adults. Well, we're a bunch of little lads.

Like, can we back into this? Cause this was a well thought out take, and I don't want you to take the piss out of it. We were talking about 15. You were talking about how you didn't like 15. Cause that quote, worse take. Everyone has to lay up. The cat who, again, drove his car off a cliff,

can't even walk, shows up, and hits it over the green and two, goes for it. I was trying to make the point, there's like three or four grown men in this tournament playing against a bunch of little, little boys. It was kind of how it looked. It was, they should have moved the tee up when the wind was gonna, if the wind's gonna how that much.

At least bait people into the shot, right? If it becomes, like, Tio hadn't hit a great drive today and then just walked up and just bonded one down the fairway. And then he went, he did the full fist at the, at the, at the new 15th hole. I agree with that.

That's not the full story because everybody else all day long was hitting it short right, laying up and then hitting these just little tiny wedges in. Such a cool shot to watch. I like that, I like that wedge shot. Watch that. But I'd rather somebody have like, all right, 230 shot.

Can I do this or do I need to lay up? I'd rather that be embarrassing. Okay, you all two 30 shot, can I do this or do I need to lay up? I'd rather that be embarrassing. Okay, you all watch that shot, but I'd rather watch you hit it from two 10 with a five iron, you know, or a six iron. So when the wind was just, I'm with Salion, I think the, moving the T back on 15 is detrimental.

Or move the trees to my view. I think macro, it's gonna be positive. Maybe today and the micro might have been a negative for a little bit, but on the whole, I think you're still gonna have more decisions, right? By moving it back. I think you're giving guys an easy way out. More, I thought the short five was great

because it's like, hey man, you already have that on 13. 13's an auto go for it. Okay, fair enough. And 15 is like, at least if they're moving it back and they're sinking it and there's the weirdness going on and aren't they, did they add more trees on the left as well? No the trees are just this I mean are they added trees on the right? I think they've fended out actually a little bit down the left, but it's just I don't know I would love to see more Decisions there. I don't want to see everybody go for it. That's not as fun to me. I want to see little boys get exposed

the back nine are the gust of the like 11 14. Don't isolate that all. I hate 17, but 17 long par fours. And then you have two fives that basically play us fours. And that's where it, but they feel like they're losing to the field if they're not going for it and two. Yeah. And so make a decision.

Now you want to do it or not? But now they put your big boy pants on and hit a shot. But now that they move the tee back, they've made it like less of a of a pure pressure thing. But that's like, oh no, I can like wool No, no, I don't like that's not a small shop thing, but in the micro only please the adult tiger had no problem with the shop But he's also you tigers pressing like the win lay down with that point They got down a little bit, but also like it was a hefty ass wind straight into their face. So that's what I'm saying. In the micro, I agree.

But in the macro, I think it's gonna be. So that's what I'm saying. They should have moved the tee up if it was gonna play into the wind to at least give me the shot. Give me the baby. We got three days. We got three days. We got two days.

Jerry is still deliberating. Yeah. We'll talk about this on Sunday. Okay. Who are the grown men in the field? Uh, Shaffler's a grown man. I think Lowry is kind of proving himself to be, you know, a bit of a grown man. He started to be a little bit of a bouncer.

I think kind of at the door, he's, he can, he can handle himself. Just because I don't know if I'll be able to do this Saturday or Sunday, can I have a quick go out on Lowry? Yeah, clear. No, and I would, for as yours. I will publicly apologize. I was kind of just, that's all I wanted to do. You know, just, have a quick go out on Lowry? It's just a quick acknowledgement that I was screaming that one for the rooftops. Well done. Dustin Johnson's a grown man. I unfortunately, I think Kevin Amit be a grown man. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but he just, no, he, he, you know,

he plays golf, man. He plays golf. What do you want me to say? Is there a difference between grown man and just being a proper golfer. Yeah, maybe that's fair. Let me think on that. Okay.

Lowry did call today one of his the best rounds he's ever played in his life, which that's always, I mean, you can't necessarily tell that when you're watching on TV. It's not like a 61, right? But to acknowledge what the conditions were like and go execute golf shots the way he did today. That was, that was, he bogeys the first hole and then had no bogeys after that.

From being honest, it's a little bit of TC there. Like, you know, it's not the best, it's the best hole I've ever seen, but not the best hole in the course. Kind of thing like that's one of the best rounds of my life. That's one of my life. But I lost, I lost the shots at Scotty, but it's Friday. It's also Friday, but that's great. You know, I'm happy that he feels that way. Could be a bit of a recency bias there.

And then I would just play great, Salie, I'm happy for you. I'm happy for you. Happy for you. Top 10, each way, we got a lot of stay- Hold on, I bet him to win. That the tournament? Yeah, pre-tournament?

Yeah, in the Draft Kings picks. Oh, well cool. Come join me over here. But I'm like, let me get across. Let me get some of this down. And then I would just say the tournament's not over. Randy, come on. No, I think he's not.

No wind. The final grown man in the field, and maybe this transition does is, of course, the cat, who not not Corey Conners. I think he has, you know, he's a proper player. He's a proper player. I don't know if he's necessarily a grown. He's a proper player. I don't know if he's necessarily a grown man. But uh, the cat, dude, do we want to go there now?

Let's do the cat. What I, I gloted about it yesterday or not loaded. I just raved like a lunatic. He, please, someone else take the ball. So we will, it's all like, please. I mean, so Louis, starting the day, Louis is tasing withdrawals. Not a good thing. Which don't great thing. Good on Louis. Yeah. Major respect for withdrawing. We read 72 names last night if everyone that had to turn in their tour card because they're beat by a one-legged tiger.

They were only one of the only one. Yeah, only one with true. Louis, you are a good man. And I will not forget this. With dignity, you said. With class and dignity. Listen, so he bogies one. It's going to happen. He almost bogied one yesterday. Love's bogie. Not good. Bad bogie on three and didn't birdie two. Listen,

that's about as bad of a starter we're going to have. And then roll into two holes. He'd never really play as well. Four and five bogies, both those four over through five conditions, not looking great for him. That was, I don't want to say I left him for dead, but it was, it was not looking great for him. That was, I don't wanna say I left him for dead, but it was not looking good, not vibing. I feel good about my own reaction to that, even seeing the four over through five. I'm like, you know what? That's okay, go home, man.

Put the legs up, you don't have to prove anything to anybody, you showed it all yesterday, and then he comes roaring back. Well, I do think the only thing we said was this makes way more sense now than anything that happened yesterday. Like him being four over through five makes way more sense than anything else. Like, that was kind of budgeted for, I think. But I said we were hoisting some pints in the pub earlier and I turned to DJ and I said,

this is my favorite version of the cat. When the cat's playing well and he hits a bad shot, he freaks out. But when things aren't going well, he batons down the hatches, he has zero emotion, he stalks putts from all angles, he goes into like, I'm not quitting mode, and he just watch him work. And it was awesome from seven through like 14 or 15,

he's just grinding. And then he thinks, it leaves you hope as a fan that like 15 through 18 is like, man, he's gonna do something magical. He didn't really do it today, but like, we wouldn't even have felt that if he didn't just you know, hit the like Spartan hole. He's just holding the line, man. He's got the failings, his out, he's just fighting everybody off.

And I love that about him. When he's playing good and he hits a bad shot though, then he's kind of, he gets a little dramatic. But when he's playing bad, he just goes into like, blinders on. I love it. It's the best. So today was one of those rounds

and I feel privileged to watch it. I mean, it was incredible. I mean, I was more honestly impressed by today's round than even yesterday's. I mean, yesterday was kind of grooving it, staying easy. and he hit the shots he needed to on the back. So like yesterday he smile, he's kind of laughing and smiling. He's like happy to be there. Today was like vintage cat, like no man, we are grinding, we're not happy to be here. We're punching in and we're punching out. And I loved it.

It was hard. Very nostalgic today. Anything else on the cat? No, I totally agree. That really made me like chuckle warmly when you were talking about that. I had, I mean, I don't know the last time we saw around like that, right? Where he just was, yeah, it was awesome. What is the weekend hold?

I, I think good things. I think playing in two sims get a little bit better rhythm and a little better flow to it. I think I feel good about the weekend for him. I would not be surprised if he top 10. It'll be cold tomorrow morning. He's not out too early. I mean, he's T19 right now.

Guys, we're in the top 20.'s unbelievable. Little boys do the guys that beat him, you know, got ahead of him on the leaderboard. Do they retain any dignity? No, there's a shouldn't have been there the first place. Yeah, I mean, some good efforts today, but listen, yesterday was the day. I think what maybe we reassessed Sunday, give it a complete tournament, but I'm not flinching. No. I feel like I'm not rooting for this. I hope he goes out and top 10s or even gets in contention, but he's got to run out of gas, man.

Like, it's such a long week. My body doesn't feel good. It doesn't feel good, Michael. It's such a long week. Yeah, I don't think he can grind like that for 36 more. Yeah, that's, yeah, it's, I don't know. I hope he hangs a bit. I like to unpack that.

Why do you think that? What would the reasoning be? Well, you only have one leg is the big one, I think. That at least for me. Like watching him try to walk up hills looks super uncomfortable. It was super weird and bizarre to see like Bryce and hitting shots on 16 and like

wincing in pain with either his wrist or back or hip or whatever it was and Tigers launching five woods into 15 green and going over the green. It's like, dude, how could you imagine that like a little over a year ago when Bryce and was bombing over the corners at Bay Hill and now he's the one that's injured.

Totally either miss judge the way it was 156 or something on 12.

A lot of players are doing that. It seems like we are at wind. He's air mailed. It went way long. It got lucky. It came back in the bunker. And then on 18 it was a helping win. And like, I hope it lays down a little bit and we have kind of the explosive, you know, birdie barrages on Sunday, but it was fun to see some weirdness and some really uncommitted swings today too.

So I think Augusta National is designed, difficulty, and designed to be difficult enough that it doesn't need when to protect the score, right? The challenge of the golf shots is still there. Now, when we go to the British UK British Open, presented by our majesty. These golf courses here are not designed to have no conditions. They rely on the wind to dictate the playing style. And that's where it's like that. These golf courses here get more exciting to watch, the more the wind blows. And I just was like, as the wind died down throughout the course of the day, it was just

more fun to watch, Chef, they're going to run, watch Tiger, make a comeback, watch JT, make a run. And that's just a difference in the style of play. And I don't want necessarily super calm, isn't that exciting, but it can get a little too windy and watching guys play 11 today was just tough. Like it's a little bit painful if you're gonna sit and watch a lot of golf to watch it be that difficult. Obviously there's nothing to do about that, but that's my thoughts here here

But it, this has gotten a little less exciting, I think to watch. Conversely, I had a blast watching 15 today, but that's, we already talked about that. I think 14, for me, has moved up in my appreciation,

Just hit the fairway, hit the green and I'm just happy with the two putt. Early in the round, I love that. The one that is dropping for me, well the other thing about five, is seeing it in person really helped.

That green is crazy in person. So like now it's like ingrained in my memory. Like that's a very difficult approach that you don't see on TV. The one that is dropping from E's 11, I feel like 11 is, these guys just bailing. It's just not fun to watch them just hit it short right. Like on Thursday, they're just hitting,

trying to hit the front fringe, just the front fringe. And then it's, it's just like, don't hit the water, don't hit the water. Oh, they have this scary chip.
