I'm going to be the right club today.
Yes! That is better than most.
That is better than most.
Better than most! Oh! Oh!
Expect anything different!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the No-Lang-Up Live Show.
Got Sully here. Got our man, Neil, here, has made his way to Scullin' Hello, Neil.
First, let me just say wow. That intro music was...
It's hot. It's my first experience, man. That's good stuff. We are viving over here. We are in
Scotland for reasons there's still to be determined. DJ Pies here. Hello DJ.
Greetings. Brill afternoon fellow. Brill, absolutely brill. Big Randy is here.
Gonna address his Scotty Sheffler takes I assume. Hello big Randy. Hello. Couldn't be more excited
to be here. Neil, welcome to the Home of Golf.
It's, I'm the first time.
You just be pulled right up in the, in the taxi and it's just, hey, it's right there.
It's unbelievable. So very cool.
Cash app is the easiest way to send, spend, and save your money. You can send or request
money from friends and family when they owe you money for dinner or you might be making
hole in one bet's live in person on the 16th hole.
Somebody might offer you 50 to one odds,
you might negotiate it to 500 to one,
not in your favor.
No, they may offer you that.
Okay.
I said, Neil, you gotta give me a hundred pounds
if Tiger makes a hole in one.
He said, oh, I'll give you a thousand.
I said, oh, okay.
And I said, you had to pay me two pounds,
which I did on the spot, which I did.
What you did.
And we're using cash app.
Yes, and we're, so there you have it.
You can invest in any stock or by Bitcoin,
with just one dollar, it comes with a debit card
that you can customize, cash app, a laser print it,
and mail it to you, comes with discounts on places
you love, called Booths.
You can use referral code, no-lang up,
which gives new users $15, you don't have to do anything.
$15, and cash app sets aside $10 for each sign-up
that goes straight to youth on course.
So the more people using code, no laying up when signing up, not only are you getting
a free $15, you are also helping to support junior golf.
So help the kids.
Why have you not done that?
That would be my question.
So, where do we start?
Scotty, the cat.
Start with Randy.
Start with Randy.
Do you want to explain yourself?
I think we've got to probably start with the guy who's leading by five.
Okay, you know?
That's fair.
Number one player in the world.
Can you guys read back into the record what I said last night?
You said that he didn't pass the eye test.
No, he, I will stand by that.
Does not pass the eye test.
So what, what are your eyes seeing?
He played a gray round of golf today.
Well, he's really good.
So yesterday, what were your eyes seeing?
That don't pass the eye test.
I just see a guy slipping and sliding and these, what's his sick?
You know, he's got six, eight footers for par half the time.
He's just, he's making a lot of putts.
I worry that it's sustainable.
You know, frankly, I worry about his health.
Do you want to look at the sustainability models with me?
My associate T.C.
He's told me for years now his back is on the Verge,
is being blown out.
A TCs big, his biggest champion for years now.
I know, I know.
I think an older guy like Scottie's also got to be looking
at what Tigers do and taking a lot of inspiration from that.
That's true. I think he has that going forward.
Listen, he made me look bad today,
but I did say it was a top 20 to 25 player in the world.
But tomorrow's another day.
Exactly.
I think a lot of people think this tournament's over, and I don't think it is. Well, let me ask you this. Do
you not enjoy watching Scottie Schaeffler hit the golf ball? No. Is that the eye test that he
doesn't pass? No, no, it's a specific eye test in relation to being number one in the world, I think.
Okay. He, he, it's not that I don't enjoy watching him hit the golf ball. It's just, you know,
I look at him and I'm and I just
Doesn't leap off the page that he's the best golfer in the world. Did you not see he didn't win the players?
How's this not obvious to you? Yeah, that's fair. I mean, I I'm with you on that one right now, and that makes total sense
Sustainability models check out very very well for mr. Scott Sheffler. He is plus 0.602 strokes game T-degree, plus 1.59 strokes game putty.
So he is getting it done all across the board.
I don't really know what that means.
He strikes me as a guy though that just...
You'd be worried if he was making only making putts,
like you just said he was only doing,
and that's not accurate.
No, I'm not just doing that,
but he's made a lot of par putts from outside.
I enjoy watching him play.
Plus made a lot of birdie puts today too.
You know what guys that make a lot of par-puts do?
They win tournaments, which is like your thing
that you must do.
You like hate on Fee now because he doesn't win enough.
Scotty literally wins three times
and he's probably gonna go in the masters.
I think.
Are you calling it?
He's gonna win.
Oh, what?
It's not over, but I would, he'd be my pick to win.
If I'm taking him or the field. He heard of here first. It's about even. It's not over, but I would, he's gonna, he'd be my, he would be my pick to win. If I'm taking him or the field.
You heard of here first.
It's about even odds.
It's about even odds right now.
So that's, you know, you got, you got,
let's go right now.
Yeah, so much golf left.
Hammer the field.
The field for sure.
For sure the field.
I'm taking him.
Okay.
Hammer, Shuffle the field.
He's got five shot lead.
We've never seen anybody blow a five shot lead in the match.
He won my career has last five.
It's number one golfer in the world.
The best golfer in the world.
But Randy, I was legitimately trying to understand
the eye test situation.
Of course.
Because I agree with you that when I watch,
Shephler, he doesn't, it doesn't,
it doesn't look repeatable.
Yeah, it doesn't.
It looks like he's kind of struggling.
Yet it is repeatable, please.
But it's fun to watch.
And that's what I like, I'm rooting for him. So like, are you, I honestly would like, I kind of forget all Get it is repeatedly. But it's fun to watch. And that's what I'm rooting for him.
So like, are you looking for him?
Well, that's what I honestly would like.
I kind of forget all what I said last night.
I was a little sleep deprived.
But I don't think I said he was just flat out bad.
And I also just said, I don't think I said
that I don't like him.
I enjoy watching him.
I just, when I think of best golfer in the world,
which they've called him,
because he's ranked number one in the world.
To me, he doesn't pass that eye test.
The comment here says, don't give him the stick,
says Randy is playing the contrarian since TC isn't here.
False TC is here on the couch.
He just arrived.
He's not watching golf today.
So he will not be on the show,
but I think he's coming over to beat up Randy right now.
I just want to say one thing.
You should on Rory for the whole.
Like, you know, Rory's a throw or not a pitcher.
Rory passes the eye test, but can't get the ball in the hole.
Scotty, maybe he doesn't pass the eye test,
but he knows how to get the fucking ball in the hole.
Stern, but fair.
That's fair.
And I just wanna say one thing,
and that's Happy Birthday TC.
Happy Birthday, BBC. Everyone leave a comment thing, and that's Happy Birthday TC. Happy Birthday TC.
Everyone leave a comment in the comments for a Happy Birthday TC.
I do think though, it's a crown, it's 36 holes.
So much tournament left.
I would say this though, one thing I love about Scotty,
he's a shopmaker, he's working the ball both ways,
he's the feet, you're right, they're all over the place,
but it's because he's trying to do things to the golf ball.
I try to manipulate the golf ball at all times,
and I like that.
I think Sully said something to the preview
that I definitely agree with,
which is a lot of the stuff is,
the I test has a lot to do with winning majors, right?
And what's you?
What's Scottie wins this week?
And we come back around to Augusta next year.
All of a sudden, he feels like a lot different player, right?
That's how Hanecki feels as he's rising
up the leader board.
So I'm kind of, I'm with you in that place.
Yeah, he had one 45 days ago.
He had never won a PGA tour event.
So we're in that in between.
We're in that awkward puberty of his career right now.
Yeah, we might be breaking out.
Exactly.
He's got acne all over his face, you know,
and I think he goes and gets it, you know, gets a dud this week.
See, I thought, and then he becomes a new man.
I thought last night was a very intentional,
like obvious bit, and now I'm worried it's not.
Like I'm worried for your safety.
I think my client found himself a little out of her skis.
I think we'd like to maybe request a recess
and maybe get back to you guys tomorrow.
We'd like to huddle, but I would like to see
what the record, the official record says.
I don't like that he's demanded to represent himself
in this argument.
Did anybody else feel like they blinked
and like, Shetler was up by five?
I just, it felt like,
and to Randy's point, it is kind of a slow burn.
It's like, oh, yeah, well, I guess,
yeah, he made Bernie there.
And he'd Bernie four out of five.
He did all the, all the holes you're supposed to.
We hit like every single shot in the exact spot.
Maybe the telecast was a little focus on the cat.
He had a horrible second shot on 13.
No, that was intentional.
He wanted it over there.
Into the photograph.
He slipped and, yeah.
He slipped and tensed it.
He slipped that push.
Yeah, that's okay.
He's really get the angle of the right side.
Yeah, gotcha.
It's like a tennis kind of like shooting down the right line.
You gotta remember he's been playing there
for 35 years now.
But they changed the course a lot on him.
You know?
That's the big.
That's the thing.
It favors experience.
You know what, it sorta felt like bear with me on this.
This, Scotty is not the next tiger.
But it kind of felt awful.
Geez.
It kind of felt a little bit like when Tiger was on his way up,
like him blowing the tournament away,
and on the other side of the course,
Jack Nicholson would be finishing up,
and the cameras would be volume.
When the cat was finishing up on 18,
it was like, oh yeah,
Scott, he's like,
Dominain the tournament,
but let's get eyes on the cat right now.
That's what it felt.
I mean, a freaking five shot lead through 36 holes is.
Not only that, man,
like it's golfing.
I know he's unconscious right now,
and I know he has one,
whatever, is it three out of the last five, And I know he has one, whatever,
is it three out of the last five,
three out of the last six, whatever it is?
But like, he still got to number one in the world
two weeks ago.
He's still like trying all this stuff on, right?
Like it's a weird, he space that he's in right now.
And he shows up to the fucking masters
and grabs a five shot lead through 36 holes.
He's unbelievable.
And he was not a common pick on our end
as far as to win this tournament.
Well, I think we, we kind of,
well, first of all we're idiots,
which is well evidence at this point,
but I think, you know, just kind of seem like,
oh, he's gonna be gassed, he doesn't have that much experience there.
I can't possibly keep it going.
Thought he was gonna kind of turn back into a pumpkin a little bit.
So fair play to him, that's a good thing.
Through like no fault of his own.
Like if he was like 15th right now,
we wouldn't, it would not be an indictment of him in any way.
Okay, question for you, okay.
The last boy wonder from Texas
to blitz the masters, obviously, speed.
Two questions.
What happens if Sheffler wins by seven, eight shots, right?
What does that mean?
And then what happens if he blows this lead and does not win?
What do we say about him?
Well, deal with that when we get there.
Okay.
It's a good question.
We're not gonna pre-berry him for blowing the metal,
but we're, we're, we're, we're, we're,
we're pre-slurping though a little bit.
Oh, I mean, I'm extremely impressed.
I've not put the green jacket on him.
I think he'll win it, but like that's incredible golf
through 36 holes.
Well, let me ask you this.
Will you acknowledge that he does have a five shot win?
I will acknowledge that.
I will.
If he wins though, that's fair and square.
Five shot lead.
A historic, you know, like entrance to the stage,
like WWE shit, like yo, you know, he's just,
he's doing the right Lewis coming out of the tunnel.
He is.
Like I'm here to stay.
What do you think that if he wins,
what do you think the next term he plays is?
Like does he just take some time off?
Does he just, does he just hang out?
I think we can tackle that one after he wins.
No, Randy asked a question though.
I'm trying to bump gaming in out in my head right now.
Like that's, I think that's a historic entrance
to like I'm not going anywhere.
Yeah.
I'm sticking to number one for a while.
I know, but we're just like mathematically,
he's gonna be at number one for a while.
That's what I mean.
Like stacking all these up,
he doesn't have to play anymore.
So historic run.
Yeah.
Also, there are no dogs in the field either,
so it's a little bit of a crown.
That's interesting.
What do we say?
I think there's two adults.
Who are the grown men?
I think there's two adults.
Well, we're a bunch of little lads.
Like, can we back into this?
Cause this was a well thought out take,
and I don't want you to take the piss out of it.
We were talking about 15.
You were talking about how you didn't like 15.
Cause that quote, worse take.
Everyone has to lay up.
The cat who, again, drove his car off a cliff,
can't even walk, shows up,
and hits it over the green and two, goes for it.
I was trying to make the point,
there's like three or four grown men in this tournament
playing against a bunch of little, little boys.
It was kind of how it looked.
It was, they should have moved the tee up
when the wind was gonna, if the wind's gonna how that much.
At least bait people into the shot, right?
If it becomes, like,
Tio hadn't hit a great drive today
and then just walked up and just
bonded one down the fairway.
And then he went, he did the full fist at the,
at the, at the new 15th hole.
I agree with that.
That's not the full story because everybody else all day long
was hitting it short right, laying up and then hitting
these just little tiny wedges in.
Such a cool shot to watch.
I like that, I like that wedge shot.
Watch that.
But I'd rather somebody have like, all right,
230 shot.
Can I do this or do I need to lay up?
I'd rather that be embarrassing. Okay, you all two 30 shot, can I do this or do I need to lay up? I'd rather that be embarrassing.
Okay, you all watch that shot,
but I'd rather watch you hit it from two 10
with a five iron, you know, or a six iron.
So when the wind was just,
I'm with Salion, I think the,
moving the T back on 15 is detrimental.
Or move the trees to my view.
I think macro, it's gonna be positive.
Maybe today and the micro might have been a negative
for a little bit, but on the whole, I think you're still gonna have
more decisions, right?
By moving it back.
I think you're giving guys an easy way out.
More, I thought the short five was great
because it's like, hey man, you already have that on 13.
13's an auto go for it.
Okay, fair enough.
And 15 is like, at least if they're moving it back
and they're sinking it and there's the weirdness going on
and aren't they, did they add more trees on the left as well? No the trees are just this I mean are they added trees on the right?
I think they've fended out actually a little bit down the left, but it's just I don't know I would love to see more
Decisions there. I don't want to see everybody go for it. That's not as fun to me. I want to see little boys get exposed
the back nine are the gust of the like 11 14. Don't isolate that all.
I hate 17, but 17 long par fours.
And then you have two fives that basically play us fours.
And that's where it,
but they feel like they're losing to the field
if they're not going for it and two.
Yeah.
And so make a decision.
Now you want to do it or not?
But now they put your big boy pants on and hit a shot.
But now that they move the tee back, they've made it like less of a of a pure pressure thing. But that's like, oh no, I can like wool
No, no, I don't like that's not a small shop thing, but in the micro only please the adult tiger had no problem with the shop
But he's also you tigers pressing like the win lay down with that point
They got down a little bit, but also like it was a hefty ass wind straight into their face.
So that's what I'm saying.
In the micro, I agree.
But in the macro, I think it's gonna be.
So that's what I'm saying.
They should have moved the tee up if it was gonna play into the wind
to at least give me the shot.
Give me the baby.
We got three days.
We got three days.
We got two days.
Jerry is still deliberating.
Yeah.
We'll talk about this on Sunday.
Okay. Who are the grown men in the field?
Uh, Shaffler's a grown man.
I think Lowry is kind of proving himself to be, you know,
a bit of a grown man.
He started to be a little bit of a bouncer.
I think kind of at the door, he's, he can, he can handle himself.
Just because I don't know if I'll be able to do this Saturday or Sunday,
can I have a quick go out on Lowry?
Yeah, clear.
No, and I would, for as yours.
I will publicly apologize. I was kind of just, that's all I wanted to do. You know, just, have a quick go out on Lowry? Just a clear, no, and I would, for as yours, I would publicly apologize.
I was kind of,
just that's all I wanted to do.
It's just a quick acknowledgement
that I was screaming that one for the rooftops.
Well done.
Dustin Johnson's a grown man.
I unfortunately, I think Kevin Amit
be a grown man.
I know that's an unpopular opinion,
but he just, no, he, he, you know,
he plays golf, man.
He plays golf.
What do you want me to say?
Is there a difference between grown man
and just being a proper golfer.
Yeah, maybe that's fair.
Let me think on that.
Okay.
Lowry did call today one of his
the best rounds he's ever played in his life,
which that's always, I mean, you can't necessarily tell
that when you're watching on TV.
It's not like a 61, right?
But to acknowledge what the conditions were like
and go execute golf shots the way he did today.
That was, that was, he bogeys the first hole and then had no bogeys after that.
From being honest, it's a little bit of TC there.
Like, you know, it's not the best, it's the best hole I've ever seen, but not the best
hole in the course.
Kind of thing like that's one of the best rounds of my life.
That's one of my life.
But I lost, I lost the shots at Scotty, but it's Friday. It's also Friday, but that's great.
You know, I'm happy that he feels that way.
Could be a bit of a recency bias there.
And then I would just play great,
Salie, I'm happy for you.
I'm happy for you.
Happy for you.
Top 10, each way, we got a lot of stay-
Hold on, I bet him to win.
That the tournament?
Yeah, pre-tournament?
Yeah, in the Draft Kings picks.
Oh, well cool.
Come join me over here.
But I'm like, let me get across.
Let me get some of this down.
And then I would just say the tournament's not over.
Randy, come on.
No, I think he's not.
No wind.
The final grown man in the field,
and maybe this transition does is, of course, the cat,
who not not Corey Conners.
I think he has, you know, he's a proper player.
He's a proper player.
I don't know if he's necessarily a grown. He's a proper player. I don't
know if he's necessarily a grown man. But uh, the cat, dude, do we want to go there now?
Let's do the cat. What I, I gloted about it yesterday or not loaded. I just raved like
a lunatic. He, please, someone else take the ball. So we will, it's all like, please.
I mean, so Louis, starting the day, Louis is tasing withdrawals. Not a good thing.
Which don't great thing. Good on Louis.
Yeah.
Major respect for withdrawing.
We read 72 names last night if everyone that had to turn in their tour card because they're
beat by a one-legged tiger.
They were only one of the only one.
Yeah, only one with true.
Louis, you are a good man.
And I will not forget this.
With dignity, you said.
With class and dignity.
Listen, so he bogies one. It's going to happen. He
almost bogied one yesterday. Love's bogie. Not good. Bad bogie on three and didn't birdie two. Listen,
that's about as bad of a starter we're going to have. And then roll into two holes. He'd never really
play as well. Four and five bogies, both those four over through five conditions, not looking great
for him. That was, I don't want to say I left him for dead, but it was, it was not looking great for him. That was, I don't wanna say I left him for dead,
but it was not looking good, not vibing.
I feel good about my own reaction to that,
even seeing the four over through five.
I'm like, you know what?
That's okay, go home, man.
Put the legs up, you don't have to prove anything
to anybody, you showed it all yesterday,
and then he comes roaring back.
Well, I do think the only thing we said was this makes way more sense now than anything
that happened yesterday.
Like him being four over through five makes way more sense than anything else.
Like, that was kind of budgeted for, I think.
But I said we were hoisting some pints in the pub earlier and I turned to DJ and I said,
this is my favorite version of the cat.
When the cat's playing well and he hits a bad shot, he freaks out.
But when things aren't going well,
he batons down the hatches, he has zero emotion,
he stalks putts from all angles,
he goes into like, I'm not quitting mode,
and he just watch him work.
And it was awesome from seven through like 14 or 15,
he's just grinding.
And then he thinks, it leaves you hope as a fan
that like 15 through 18 is like, man,
he's gonna do something magical.
He didn't really do it today, but like, we wouldn't even have felt that if he didn't just
you know, hit the like Spartan hole.
He's just holding the line, man.
He's got the failings, his out, he's just fighting everybody off.
And I love that about him.
When he's playing good and he hits a bad shot though,
then he's kind of, he gets a little dramatic.
But when he's playing bad,
he just goes into like, blinders on.
I love it.
It's the best.
So today was one of those rounds
and I feel privileged to watch it.
I mean, it was incredible.
I mean, I was more honestly impressed by today's round
than even yesterday's.
I mean, yesterday was kind of grooving it,
staying easy. And everything looked pretty relatively easy yesterday. And I mean, yesterday was kind of grooving it, staying easy.
And everything looked pretty relatively easy yesterday.
And it could have gone a lot of different ways
and he hit the shots he needed to on the back.
So like yesterday he smile,
he's kind of laughing and smiling.
He's like happy to be there.
Today was like vintage cat, like no man,
we are grinding, we're not happy to be here.
We're punching in and we're punching out.
And I loved it.
It was hard.
Very nostalgic today.
Anything else on the cat?
No, I totally agree.
That really made me like chuckle warmly when you were talking about that.
I had, I mean, I don't know the last time we saw around like that, right?
Where he just was, yeah, it was awesome.
What is the weekend hold?
I, I think good things.
I think playing in two sims get a little bit better rhythm
and a little better flow to it.
I think I feel good about the weekend for him.
I would not be surprised if he top 10.
It'll be cold tomorrow morning.
He's not out too early.
I mean, he's T19 right now.
Guys, we're in the top 20.'s unbelievable. Little boys do the guys that beat him, you know, got ahead of him on
the leaderboard. Do they retain any dignity? No, there's a shouldn't have been there the
first place. Yeah, I mean, some good efforts today, but listen, yesterday was the day. I
think what maybe we reassessed Sunday, give it a complete tournament, but I'm not flinching.
No.
I feel like I'm not rooting for this.
I hope he goes out and top 10s or even gets in contention, but he's got to run out of
gas, man.
Like, it's such a long week.
My body doesn't feel good.
It doesn't feel good, Michael.
It's such a long week.
Yeah, I don't think he can grind like that for 36 more.
Yeah, that's, yeah, it's, I don't know.
I hope he hangs a bit.
I like to unpack that.
Why do you think that?
What would the reasoning be?
Well, you only have one leg is the big one, I think.
That at least for me.
Like watching him try to walk up hills
looks super uncomfortable.
It was super weird and bizarre to see like
Bryce and hitting shots on 16 and like
wincing in pain with either his wrist or back
or hip or whatever it was and Tigers
launching five woods into 15 green
and going over the green.
It's like, dude, how could you imagine that
like a little over a year ago when
Bryce and was bombing over the corners at Bay Hill
and now he's the one that's injured.
Well, I know you had some good thoughts on that, but.
Great co from, tweet from Jamie Kennedy, not from the Jamie Kennedy experience.
The other one, since saying quote, I'm looking at as a par 67 about Augusta.
Bryson has played eight rounds and is by the par 67 measure 43 over par.
Cool. That is tough. No, laying up is brought to you.

The joggers I was wearing, they are bird dogs, okay?
They're bird dogs and I will hand up.
I made fun of joggers maybe five, six years ago.
I've come full circle.
They sent them to us.
I'm currently wearing them.
I don't know how well you can see.
I'm probably unplug myself if I try.
I have the khaki ones on right now.
I wore them on the flight and wore them directly
to the golf course and fit in wonderfully
on the golf course, didn't stick out.
I'm so in on joggers.
I'm way in on bird dogs.
So got a million questions about those bird dogs.
You can go to birddogs.com, you can use code NLU
and you will get a free hat with your order as well.
So boys have been buzzing about the bird dogs.
I wore them on the golf course today as well.
I got out to the new course.
It was an absolute delightful stroll
wearing those pants.
Randy's been working out in them, the short shorts,
she's loving them.
Well the shorts, but I also have to, the pants,
36 inseam pants, hard to find as a tall guy.
So if you're watching this live, Cody is beaming
in the video that I posted on Instagram that shows off the joggers
Thank you. That was a good shot. You know I did I used the bounce
So go to bird dogs calm check him out. I've got a question related to the precision pro
Roundtable any caddy stick out to you
over the last couple days
Ryan Palmer's caddy went full hairy higgs like with no shirt underneath the
Ryan Palmer's caddy went full hairy higs like with no shirt underneath the uh uh and had some chest hair popping out which that was unsurprised to me but that was the only
only thing that came to mind when you brought that up.
I don't have anything specific other than we mentioned this in the uh the pre you
know the preview pod which again I someone mentioned previews doing a lot of heavy lifting
that would preview uh which kind of made me laugh. But I think we're all, like I mentioned,
not down on Scotty, but just a little bit like,
okay, he's got to run out of gas eventually.
I think we underestimated having Ted Scott on the back.
You called him.
Two times, you were like, I don't sleep on Ted Scott.
Two times, Masters winning Cadi
with the number one player in the world
seems to be a potent combo.
So can I say one thing about Cadi?
And this is, I was gonna say, this is not a shot at Joe LeCovid,
but it definitely is going to be tight.
The cat and Joe had some tough yardages today.
Hit seven iron on 12.
Totally either miss judge the way it was 156 or something on 12.
A lot of players are doing that.
It seems like we are at wind.
He's air mailed.
It went way long.
It got lucky.
It came back in the bunker.
And then on 18 it was a helping win. He air mailed it went way long. It got lucky. It came back in the bunker. And then on 18, it was a helping win. 158. And I know that shop plays about 8 to 10 yards uphill.
He full bore seven iron. And what even close to the right number. So maybe he needs the
precision pro audio. Cady to go along. Brandy. That is not in the copy. Cady's had a stood
out for positive or negative. I was just trying to see on Twitter.
What did Fitzpatrick's cat?
Oh, that was sweet.
Yes.
So he gets over Fitzpatrick.
It's over.
I'm gonna pay close attention to that tomorrow.
I'm gonna pay close attention to that tomorrow.
I was just trying to see on Twitter. What did Fitzpatrick's?
Oh, that was sweet.
Yes.
So he gets over, Fitzpatrick gets over a shot on 13
and starts to kind of back off.
And I couldn't quite make out what Billy Foster says,
but he's like, they're hitting a layup shot
and he's like, it's perfect for our and get on with it.
Like, because he was like, Fitz was starting to second guess it.
And Fitz is like, are we in a rush?
He's like, no, no rush, but it was I it was kind of his way of reinforcing confidence in his player to make sure he made a good swing
But I thought that was great of yeah get on with it
Also, I assume a caddy sticks out his Alex Higgs who's of course probably in the chat. I'll just
Fallen along even if he's not he's a he's a number one caddy in our book
The New Yorks to the boys on playing the weekend as well
Harry Higgs in his in his master's debut making the cut. That's awesome. Neil. Who did you have?
Guido
Megli Ozzy
Yeah, I believe I said his name right you did. It's kind of ripping heaters all day was all day long on Thursday
And you know what? I appreciate that at a place like Augusta
You know guys just decided I'm gonna be who I am and I think that's worth noting. I appreciate that. I'd have placed like a gust of, you know, guys just decided I'm gonna be who I am.
And I think that's worth noting.
I like that.
Are we concerned with Charles Schwarzel at all?
No, no, not at least.
Is that, are we moving from that?
I would probably have that in my worst case scenario.
For sure.
For what is worst case scenario?
We've lived at once.
I know, two times.
I felt like, you know, Will it was a little bit of that?
Come on man. Will it would, I know, and we survived. I felt like, you know, Will it was a little bit of that.
Come on man.
Will it would, I know this unpopular opinion.
Will it would be a cool story.
Will it was in the Will it was in the Will it was in the Will it was in the Will it was in the
that's your right.
I'm being unfair.
And as far as way all the way back.
Will it gets us, I wouldn't say I'm a massive Will it fan but like, yeah.
Come on.
He gets unfairly blamed for the speed collapse.
It was not his fault.
It was not yet.
It was still like a flaw.
I'd still not go let him live a day.
There was a very specific moment where I woke up
from my jet lag nap and I saw it was tiger was,
hitting his approach into number nine
and he had the club drop and it was just,
it's not going well and the leaderboard doesn't look good
and it's short soul and will.
It was bleeding for a little. And it's like, man good and it's short soul and it's like man,
like it's hard going to miss the cut and then we're going to get stuck with something
that nobody wants to see like is this going to be the most anti climactic masters of all
time.
People also tried, they treat Will it like he was showing me keel or something too.
Like he was, he was like a top 15.
He was like a player in the world.
12 player in the world when he won a master.
So I don't, I don't care about Danny Willett, I wouldn't say,
but you know, give the guy a little more.
That's fair.
Give him respect, but I don't agree that it'll be a good story.
It's not, if all the things that could play out this weekend,
I would not put that up there as a good story.
What's a better story, Danny Willett,
coming back from the wilderness or Shane Lowry,
somewhat arbitrarily winning a second,
but you're Shane Lowry.
I think Lowry, I think Lowry.
I think he's more Irish people would go freaking
and everyone loves him for their squad.
I'd be fun.
Yeah.
I knew that good champion.
That if Will it was you guys know what a story means?
Yeah, be a good story.
Randy's been taking it.
People would be interested in that.
What's the beginning major?
Little after that story.
Are you sticking around to watch the Butler cabin ceremony
if Danny Will it wins?
Are you doing it if Shane Lowry's wins?
Who would be about to say?
I would say.
I would watch it either way actually,
because it's always awkward.
It's like the best part of the world.
I think I agree with you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
I think that's not good for that.
It's a set piece.
It's like a sitcom.
Did you say it'd be interesting?
I said it'd be fun.
Yeah, exactly.
Shorts always worst case scenario.
Is that where we're all?
No, no, no, no. I feel that way. What's worst case scenario?. Yeah, exactly. Schwarze was worst case scenario. Is that where we're all?
No, no, no, no, no.
I feel that way.
What's worst case scenario?
Kevin Nah.
Kevin Nah.
Uh, I don't know.
There are a few there.
I mean, from the guys that are under par right now, for me, it's, it's Schwarze.
And I have nothing to get Schwarze.
It's just not exciting.
Like if we're being super, I mean, we said like SungJM doesn't do a tongue for me.
That's probably more of a me problem. The got a military thing is the military thing is sweet
I'm waiting on that like you guys were talking about that last night, and I was like, oh, I didn't think about that
I got to say Harold. I mean
Harold Varro be a good story for certain reasons
What second african-american player to win a gusta, but I just as a golfer, I don't find them that entertaining,
I guess, so he done do a ton for me.
I don't know.
Anyone you named that is not gonna win
that's threatening to win?
I don't remember all the names you named.
I kind of picked their spot on it.
I kind of feel like you kind of killed it a little bit.
Of course.
Brooks missed the cut.
You did say he might win.
He might win. Well, well, your friend,
Shaffler wasn't gonna win.
I don't know.
We have to check the tape there.
You literally wrote that in the newsletter this week.
Oh.
Well, I can talk paper, I can cut.
We did not.
We're asking to do predictions.
And you wrote,
you guys will ask me to remember too many things.
Well, what wasn't gonna,
which Mr. Cut?
I will,
I'll connect on that.
Going back to back, I think he's going back to back. I think he going back to back would be dope.
That'd be awesome.
That'd be awesome.
Especially a guy that had like no expectations.
Yes.
Coming in kind of injured.
Just like so.
I don't know.
I mean like the most the least hyped defending champ
probably since like Will it in Schwarzel?
I would say it's strictly due to the entry.
So yeah, for sure.
No, for sure.
He'd remember when he won Sony and he was like, oh, he's like the best due to the entry. So yeah, for sure being like he'd know he'd remember when he went Sony,
it was like, oh, he's like the best player in the world.
Right.
That feels like it was four years ago.
I don't know how my life changes of Hideki wins though.
I that's fair.
We've been there.
I don't know why he put too much pressure on this tournament.
Yeah.
So how many of us we've changed your life?
What we through with Sky on this list, it's under par, changes your life.
I think more Kawabee as far as interesting story.
He's the guy that I would say, um, I mean, Dustin Johnson getting a third major is
pretty, you know, that that pumps him up a clear class from one and a half to three.
That'd be a big joke.
Guys, I'm, I'm, I'm in the Mangy dog.
He had a bad day today.
But he comes back.
He comes out of it.
If he comes back from the back to back with the players,
like that's kind of we're talking Sheffler stuff again.
To have a bad round sticking around guys.
To be have a bad round and be a shot out of second place.
Halfway through the tournament.
That's that's that's sitting in it.
Sitting pretty.
Who should we play?
How far back is too far back? Oh love this game
All right, the leader is at eight
But seconds at three
I think even's too far back. I do too. I don't see anyone at even or one that I can think can win the tournament other than the cat
Of course of course. Yeah, I would coastline that.
I mean, can't like you get sociopathic though.
Oh yeah, totally weird stuff.
You gotta get off the block.
He's got two days left.
I mean, I gotta have to get off the Xander block.
Xander had it, I'm ashamed.
I think he didn't make a birdie.
Is that right?
I think he's out of date over.
He made it one late, I think.
Really bad stuff, really, really bad stuff from Xander.
And I'm worried about it. Dustin kind of weirdly scraped it
around today, but got up and down, really chipped it really well
today. If he got away with a bad ball striking day and, you know, and
is as sitting there at T6. I mean, he had decent numbers today with
actually his stroke skin approach was horrible and his
chipping was fantastic.
So salvage that might be when we look back on.
So I wouldn't say he's hunting.
I mean, you have a mention, title low round of the day, kind of clowned on him for quite
a while yesterday.
JT answered the bell today, which climbing up into the top 10, 67, looked awesome.
As he said in his post run, it could have been a bit left a few
out there, which is always good. He did. He did answer the bell. Yeah, which is great.
I think it's all I don't know if you want to run back a little bit of what you said yesterday,
but it's clear, clear, clear that like loudly in his head is you need to play better in
majors. And yesterday, it had to be a little bit of a mind fuck. Right. So come out and lay
an egg shoot shoot 76,
and you don't know how he's gonna bounce back.
And, you know, he seems like, we've said this a lot,
like he seems like a bit of a guy who kinda,
kind of the opposite of what you were just saying
with Tiger, like he wears it on his face
when it's not going well, he starts to get mopey and droopy
and all that stuff and coming out today
and fucking, you know, punching back is awesome to see.
I think that's what everybody wants to see.
Because he came out and started when it was windy early.
He came out and fired in a couple of birdies very early.
So he, remember we were raving over round one,
cams had two and a half shots on the field,
Strokes Gain to Proach.
JT today had two full shots on the next best guy
in Strokes Gain to Proach.
He had a plus 5.64.
So when he said he left a few out there, he was almost neutral putting today in shot 67.
Cam Smith also was set.
Two shots better than the next best in the field.
Well, challenge for JT.
You know, this is a high bar, but let's back it up, right?
Keep going again.
Two days in a row.
Let's build on this.
I'm very, very curious to see how he follows it. I don't think he's gonna win,
but I think he needs a runner-up in a major, right?
I mean, let's just get in the hunt, right?
Like, the four or five sandalats.
Playing a final ass group at least.
Yes.
You know what, to your point,
and I know, as disappointed as some people might be here,
the I test stuff is obviously a whiff of a bit.
No, there's a whiff of a bit.
It's got notes of a bit.
JT passes the I test so hard.
And he's one of the guys that's like,
of everybody on the board,
other than maybe Dustin,
is like, you know, show me that guy
in the final group of a major.
All I wanna see is,
all I wanna do is watch that guy hit golf shots. Because he is so freaking fun to watch.
The one thing that has stuck out to me about JT that I feel like it gets my hope up coming
into every masters is like he's stead, been steadfast no matter how many times he doesn't play
well with the masters. He's steadfast about how much he loves the golf course and how well it fits
him. And like years and years of of data that's not really necessarily supporting that. I know he's
been kind of trending towards improving, but he's just been steadfast.
Like I should play well here.
I don't know why I'm not like it adds up for me.
Today kind of felt like I don't know if he's going to back it up or not,
but today kind of felt like just the realization of like, yes,
I can fire at pins on this golf course.
Yeah.
So, um, I think there's, there's still a lot of, I mean, you know, no fans to anyone,
but still quite a bit of fat in front of him
Between him and Sheffler. There's he can he can
Leap frog quite a few guys. I feel like so like easy to burn fat. Yeah, exactly
Simple andabolic stuff he can knock a lot of that out
andabolic stuff he can knock a lot of that out. Probably some stuff that's not an aerobic route.
Not anabolic.
DJ, is it time?
Four.
Just talk about Rory.
God.
You got that death march cute up again.
Honestly, Rory showed some toughness today.
He did. He did. He did. He did.
He finished strong. He did.
I'm not mad about Rory today.
I never, I never, I didn't have any,
I lost the hope.
I didn't really have any hope to go with it. So when he got to four over, I was, I was like, oh my God,
he's going to miss the cut again. Here we go. And he, he, he toughed it out, man.
I just can't unsee the shots on 10 and 11, man. Where it's just just middle of the fairway,
middle of the fairway, middle of the fairway. He's, He's he's taken out patrons He's like shank of jazzy. Well, I get in the bunkers. I mean, it was just I know it's like he talked a little bit about it afterwards and
You know, I haven't played a very gusty Augusta national
So I you know hand up there. We've only caught it on calm day
exactly
But you know, I think these guys that's why it gets so fun to watch is they get a little unsure a little uncommitted and
You start seeing like some really weird iron shots of one more cow I hit in the middle of the pond on 11 was that was so bad
So bad, it's just I don't know that was fun. It was
Saw you you had to take about the wind which I
Agree with to an extent disagree with to an extent that Augusta
is almost, is a little more fun when you don't have
quite as much wind.
My only pushback on that would be,
like, it's fun to see it for a day, right?
It's fun to see like over four days,
it's fun to see four different golf courses, right?
And like, I hope it lays down a little bit
and we have kind of the explosive, you know,
birdie barrages on Sunday,
but it was fun to see some weirdness and some really uncommitted swings today too.
So I think Augusta National is designed, difficulty, and designed to be difficult enough that it
doesn't need when to protect the score, right?
The challenge of the golf shots is still there.
Now, when we go to the British UK British Open, presented by our majesty. These golf courses here are not designed to have no conditions.
They rely on the wind to dictate the playing style.
And that's where it's like that.
These golf courses here get more exciting to watch, the more the wind blows.
And I just was like, as the wind died down throughout the course of the day, it was just
more fun to watch, Chef, they're going to run, watch Tiger, make a comeback, watch JT, make a run.
And that's just a difference in the style of play.
And I don't want necessarily super calm,
isn't that exciting, but it can get a little too windy
and watching guys play 11 today was just tough.
Like it's a little bit painful
if you're gonna sit and watch a lot of golf
to watch it be that difficult. Obviously there's nothing to do about that, but that's my thoughts here here
Well, that's also the other best players in the world. So a little win. I mean deal with it
I don't care about that. It's a hard for them. I'm just saying to be fun to watch like it doesn't become as fun to watch
Yeah, I'm gonna interject here with a second roundtable question
Please what's your Here's the UK. It's a big roundtable with a second roundtable question. Please. What's your, uh, the, here the UK.
It's a big roundtable country, right?
Roundtable question.
I have a really hard time here.
He's like, I was, don't, he beat me there.
Over the course of your life, DJ insisted we put that language in.
In your, in your whole existence.
Your life.
What whole Augusta has moved up the most in your power rankings and down the most
in your power rankings, Randy, we're gonna start with you.
Oh, God.
We're looking for the biggest delta here, Randy.
I think as a kid, I thought 16 was cool.
I didn't see 16.
It's, it's, it's boring.
Oh my God, look how creative he has to be.
It's like, well, there's one slope.
There's, show me how else you play that chip shot.
It's a far special.
It's,, well, there's one slope. There's, show me how else you play that chip shot. It's a far special. It's, it's horrible.
Hold, let's move up.
That's a good question.
I honestly, 18.
I used to think 18 stunk and I like 18.
Test you off the tee, got to hit proper shot.
Especially, I like the pin in the back on 18 up on the back shelf.
It helps so much to have different that other camera angle this year.
It's been awesome.
It's also symbolic finishing uphill.
It just feels like, you know, guys, guys, guys, but it's still like, oh, will you have
a shot?
Will you not?
I 18 is the one that's climbed for me. I think probably just overexposure.
13 is, has climbed, is dropped a bit.
I think it, I used to be like, oh my God,
I could watch people play that whole all day every day.
And now I find, maybe it's just,
it needs to be a little longer.
Maybe, yeah, I was gonna say, it might be a technology thing
and just kind of everybody getting there all the time.
But it, this has gotten a little less exciting,
I think to watch.
Conversely, I had a blast watching 15 today,
but that's, we already talked about that.
I think 14, for me, has moved up in my appreciation,
which I know is kind of a bit of a hipster take.
No bunkers.
As deal fuckers.
As deal fuckers.
You don't forget that, no bunkers.
No, I've never got to find any.
I had never heard that before.
But just 14 green, there's a ton of cool little balls
where we talked about it actually after the onward, I think.
There's a lot of great dividing slopes on 14, right?
Where you hit the correct side of the slope
and it's gonna funnel to the pin.
You hit the wrong side of the slope,
it's gonna kick you far away
and you're gonna have an impossible two-putter,
impossible chip or pitch.
Exactly what John Moe was talking about.
About how the average the marginal shot is gonna get rejected by a shot like that in 2014. an impossible two-putter, impossible chip or pitch. Exactly. John Moeb was talking about how, you know,
the average the marginal shot is gonna get rejected
by a shot like that in the 14.
I'll say number three, I used to think three
was kind of silly because it's not drivable
and it's kind of in between it
and that was before I really understood
architecture and strategy.
Now I think it's one of my favorite holes
because you can make five as easy as you can make three.
I think it's genius.
I would say, enjoyed watching the rib get bodied by three today.
It was fantastic.
And the cat.
Yeah.
I'll say five.
I just, I don't think that green matches very well for that hole.
And they've made it obnoxiously long.
I think it's, I think it's just hard for the sake of being hard.
And it's not really that interesting to watch guys play it.
That and seven or just two holes that I just don't really.
Seven so bad.
Yeah.
So that's thanks.
It's, it's, it's, I'm going to push back like five was the one that's grown for me.
I think, I think early in the round, I think something that it has to do with the telecast
where you can watch every hole now.
So you watch that three or four, five, six cam.
And you know, that's the hardest part of the golf course.
So I love watching guys come through there and, you know, just tried to basically keep the ship from sinking.
And five, like I was watching on Thursday, Max made just a proper par.
Just hit the fairway, hit the green and I'm just happy with the two putt.
Early in the round, I love that.
I get frustrated with that late as my, you know,
as a bit on the record with Stinky and Andina.
Seventeen is not my favorite.
The one that is dropping for me,
well the other thing about five,
is seeing it in person really helped.
That green is crazy in person.
So like now it's like ingrained in my memory.
Like that's a very difficult approach
that you don't see on TV.
The one that is dropping from E's 11,
I feel like 11 is, these guys just bailing.
It's just not fun to watch them just hit it short right.
Like on Thursday, they're just hitting,
trying to hit the front fringe, just the front fringe.
And then it's, it's just like,
don't hit the water, don't hit the water.
Oh, they have this scary chip.
And it's really not that exciting
to watch them hit that scary chip.
I just talked to her born,
and we did maybe shift AIM in corner to 12, 13, 14.
Instead of 11, 12, 13.
I think this interesting.
Here for that.
I think this wind might be one of the more boring winds
for the golf course,
because I think 11 plays a lot more boring.
I think 15 and 13 both play more boring.
Yeah. I think it would be both play more boring. Yeah.
I think it would be more interesting to see
that the win go in any different direction.
T.C. Can you get out of your stow there
in on 11 short right of 11?
So they can't just bail out down there.
Yeah, make it a little tougher bailout.
Tron, can you get your outrageously expensive wind app
fired up to see if the wind's gonna change it Augusta?
It could be a little chilly tomorrow.
Did everyone get their answers in?
I'll let you know.
Everybody did.
That's a great question.
Thank you for entertaining my life.
That's a great question.
You're all welcome.
That's a great question.
That's a great question.
It was funny.
We looked at the, it was funny.
I looked at the pinchy either last night or today.
And it was, I could vividly remember all of,
I could just by glancing at it, I'm like,
oh, cool.
And I could breathe.
I could two hours later,
I could go, DJs, where's the pin on six?
I'll go back left, because we have this built up knowledge
of what all these slopes do around the greens
and just takes like, you know, you can almost
start picturing the shots just by looking at the pin sheet
and you don't get that experience really any other,
any other tournament of the year.
Beach, breaking news?
I wouldn't say breaking news,
but it looks like the wind's gonna stay in the exact same direction. So we'll see if they move the T-Up on 15. Remain to the year of the year. The age breaking news. I wouldn't say breaking news, but it looks like the wind's going to stay in the exact
same direction.
So we'll see if they move the tee up on 15 remainder of the week.
That would be fun.
That would be a lot of fun.
Oh, no, sorry.
I don't know how to read this out.
Maybe that's, oh, that's hours.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Keep talking about something else.
I'll be back with you in a moment.
Speed.
Should we go ahead and do this?
Well, who's more disappointing?
Speed or Bryson?
Speed. Bryson?
Speed.
Bryson was not healthy.
He was not, I guess, Bryson is decent excuse.
He probably should have got surgery
and is probably going to end up doing that.
I think he really, really wanted to play the Mastery very bad.
I think in course history, I mean,
Speed, yes, please, so well at Augusto.
So he dumped two in the water on 12.
Correct.
Triple there.
Correct. You there. Correct.
You know, that's great, because I haven't seen that.
I'm gonna go back and watch that right.
Was it three?
Yeah, it's not up to this.
It kind of feels like you're watching
one of the replays from the, did any way.
So he took it back to the, you know, like a comfy number
and then it took a drop that it got over the bunker
and kind of spun into the water.
It wasn't a dead chunk into the water.
It wasn't a full homage.
But it was, it was not good. And I mean, he's never, he's never missed a cut here. Like,
this is, you know, a disappointing finish for him is like a T6 here. And he's not going
to be around for the weekend. Like, that's not a good sign. It was not, I mean, he missed
like a, it, it's said three feet for that put on three. It was like, it was no way. It was 14 inches.
It was not a long put.
Maybe it's the camera angle that makes it look closer than it is.
Not close.
He was negative stroke skein, approach, negative stroke skein.
I think the 12 hole really sank him as far as, you know,
the, the stroke skein approach number, but.
I gotta do something about the putting shot routine.
From putting, we'll worry about that later. The pre-shot routine is so jarring. you know, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the special like he was he needed a par it but making double is massive. Of this tough.
Oh, speaking of the buoy though, I heard Swedish TV called him the buoy on really got
a DM today.
It's that Swedish TV just called John Ram the buoy.
So people literally all over the globe are calling it the buoy.
It's our guy we met at the place.
So many people call him.
I think T 23 feels like buoy territory.
Like it was right there.
We said every week he sunk.
It's kind of like the big wave came back.
She's down right now.
I was like, can you try to submerge the paddleboard on that water?
He's trying to duck dive right now.
You can't duck dive him.
He won't stay down for long.
What are you talking about?
Rom got, Jesse Rom got a little chippy in his, in his post round on Thursday.
He was asked, Hey, John, can you take us through the round please?
He's got, oh, most hated question on the planet.
It's not happy.
Played great golf, got four mud balls.
What am I going to do about that?
That's what it is.
It's bad luck.
That's what pisses me off.
That's all I could say.
He said today, I played way worse than I did yesterday.
Shout two shots better.
So that's the way it goes.
I do want to, I mean, most hated question on the planet.
Can you take us through your round?
Yeah, it's a tough one.
You got a bad question.
Well, I understand why it gets asked.
And I also understand why it's frustrating.
I'm just trying to be a little bit more specific.
What do you want to know about the round?
Yeah, but you don't want to box them in.
I know, but it's like, take me through the round.
Well, okay.
I can do this for breakfast.
I had a bowl of cereal, then I did it.
What do you want from me, really?
Okay.
They just want their platitudes and their sound bites.
Randy's coming to the Booy's defense.
I just understand how your frustrated conflict
is, it's not a great question.
It's not, but I think also sometimes the person,
I don't know who asked it,
but the people that are in charge of asking it
can't keep track of everything that's going on.
And so you just kind of see a guy coming in,
you're like, all right, I gotta get him,
just get him talking about something.
And so a safe thing to fall back on.
Like that's a better question than hitting the runality.
How did they make it feel?
Well, I would disagree.
How would you disagree?
I would disagree.
I would say, John, obviously you don't look too happy.
You know, what, tell me about that.
What, what, what, what, wrong day?
What are you feeling about the round, round one and two?
Fair enough.
I don't know.
It's, it's a tough, I, I'm not blaming it,
getting at, I understand why it gets asked, but I also understand why it
Maybe annoys players. Sure
Should we visit some some live odds for the remainder of the tournament? Oh, please
These are of course courtesy of our friends at the draft King Sportsbook. What do you think?
Sheffler is to win the tournament right now minus 800
It's at minus 200 probably pretty close to even, right?
Plus 100.
Yeah.
36 holds is a lot of golf.
Like it is.
Flation, five shots doesn't get you what it used to.
Five shots versus the field is a different thing.
Shane Lowry is plus 1200.
Dustin Johnson plus 1200 came Smith plus 1200.
Also Hadecki and JT all plus 1200.
What's Schwarzel? Schwarzel is plus 4,500 Wow.
And Whortzel is in the final group. Yeah. Yeah. He was first in
that belief. That's right. Zalatorus. We haven't talked about
him. He is plus 3,500 more. Calla plus 2,200. The pairing
squadrons like rolling a grenade into the discussion. We
can figure it out. Are parings out?
I don't know.
Let's see if we can find them.
Is this a Zaltar's first, not under par round?
Correct.
Even par 72.
That's unreal, man.
T times R, in fact, out.
Where we got it?
Let's go from the least.
I teach your expensive question.
I, you know, I think I like the value at the plus 1200.
Yeah.
Yeah. There you two.
Uh, final group at two 50 PM Eastern Skyd E Sheffler and
Charles Schwarzel, uh, group, the second to last group is
Sung J and Shane Lowry.
Third to last is Hadecki and Harold Varner.
We have DJ and Kevin Na, Cam Smith.
Run it back from us. That's right. Cam Smith and Harold Varner. We have DJ and Kevin Na, Cam Smith. Run it back from Austin.
That's right. Cam Smith and Corey Connors.
Ooh, more a cow in Zalatoris.
I will imagine that.
That's going to be a feature group. No give me.
Step right up.
Uh, Danny Willett and walking Neiman, JT and Christianan Bzaedenhoot,
uh, Matt Fitzpatrick, J.J. Spawn,
Web Simpson Patrick Cantlay.
Pause.
Can we get two apologies from Neil for that back group?
First of all, Web Simpson making the cut.
Second of all, Katelyn shooting 75 today.
Yeah, tough, tough for both.
I kind of felt like Web just has been a non-factor
for the past nine months, and he decided to show up this week.
So I guess he's feeling better.
I think Web's an adult.
I think he's a proper player.
I don't have anything against Web.
I guess he appreciate Web's game.
I agree with you.
He's a dad.
He gets his job done.
He gets his chores done the weekend.
He cuts his grass.
He takes the trash out.
He's got a mortgage.
Yes.
He's up early.
He's up early and he's in bed early.
He hits shanks though.
He sleeps well.
Grown men don't hit shame
He's saving five. What is it five twenty-nine's or five twenty eights a college education to be fair tiger went through some
You know those really bad
Max
Every year he's I think it's a five twenty nine
Okay, thank you college education. He's got two of those still on this.
Okay. He's a grown-ass man, but like not like a not a scary grown-ass man. He's just like
a solid dad. Of course. Middleman. You're right. I shouldn't have doubted him because
he's going to get his job done. Kevin Kisner and Tiger Woods paired together. Robert
Mackentire and Lee Westwood, uh, bubble wad's. It's a dazzler. Bubba and Sergio, uh, bubble wadz, dazzler, Bubba and Sergio, uh, Hatton and Rom that.
I hope that the mics are hot for that one.
That is an open day.
That's a dream conference right there.
Rory and Sep Strocka, um,
Harry Higgs and Hudson Swoffer,
shout out to the troops today.
Tough scene.
Did you guys see that?
Tough.
I did.
Hudson Swoffer's, uh,
four iron head just flew off after a shot on 13.
And the ball went over the green. It was KIA
Fortunately, it was a weapons malfunction C. Wu Kim and Jason Kochrack
Taylor Gucci Daniel Berger the body
Tony Finau Cameron champ
Russell Henley Patrick Reed
Just a quick shout out searcher right now, just a quick shout out. After searching right now, Randy. Just a quick shout out to some of the old Lee Westwood,
Bubba, Sergio.
Like, I didn't really even know that they're still participating,
but they're making records.
Pretty good week, you know?
Just solid.
Kudos to them.
How about the shop from Bubba?
Oh my God.
Not the best to be recreated on a podcast.
I would recommend looking it up.
Bubba's second shot in the 18.
Oh my God.
He tweeted something about two of his ball
was he had to hover the club because it was on a branch.
He was a pitching wedge from 183 out of the mulch
up the hill, launches high as he could,
got up in the jet stream and hits like a foot.
It's truly one of the best golf shots I've ever seen.
Unreal.
Bob was so fun to watch.
Cody, is there anything we are missing out on at the moment?
No, just to clean it up real quick, you are correct. Neil, it is a 529. I'm very happy with
it. Thank you. And he and Wes Maxson, that shit out for five kids. You know it. That is correct.
And they're giving you a hard time. We went to this at the players as well with Web thinking like where the hell has he been?
Because we wanted to bet on in them.
It was his first tournament in like months.
And it was her.
And that's hurt.
Yep.
Well, welcome back.
You know what, dad?
You know, you know, as bad next dad.
Yes.
Old,
pretty wrong adults grown people.
No, it's kind of like the dad and the driver is back in my ass down.
Like, oh, you don't think I can, you don't think I can give buckets.
But the next day, he's ice is nice.
Yeah, he's not feeling good,
but he's gonna get it done.
So shout out to William.
I will own that.
Unlike Randy, I'll own that bad.
I own all my takes.
I stand by him.
He will not back down.
He will not back down.
Anything else?
What do you take with bad dick?
No, I mean, you guys want to talk about amateurs at all.
It's a big tradition at the last year.
I'll start.
Of course.
Yeah, I'm just joking.
Amateurs.
Well, one of them almost got me paid on a whole one.
That was fun.
But otherwise we have co-low amateurs.
I would say great.
I mean, not Kajima and Austin Greaser.
Not Kajima is a number one amateur in the world and looks like a future star, but Greaser is,
I mean, that's an impressive performance from him.
I don't think he doesn't have the same,
quite the same pedigree as Nakajima.
So Paiyot got in because he won the amateur.
How did Greaser get in?
Runner up in the air.
So there's, they, they, they, they, they,
I thought it was just the one winner.
That's why everybody wants to win the semi-finals.
Yeah. Got it. Okay.
Loved your idea, I think, solid. I think that was a Hollywood
Hottailing idea to play off the low amps. Oh no, sorry. Ben said there should be no low amp if
they tie. Oh, or if nobody makes the cut, Ben said this is bullshit. Well, I want to
get down with that or play it off. I wouldn't play off is a better. Yeah, don't
don't award two people. Somebody on Twitter asked me if I could have beaten Stuart Haggis that in this.
Absolutely fucking not.
I want to I want to absolutely nothing to do with this golf course this week.
That looked terrifying.
And yeah, if you're a little bit off, you might shoot the 80s.
And you're paying homage to the cap.
I have that back.
I have some, you know, Tiger Nights injuries.
I was kind of might be an adult.
I know.
I heard my back to in yard work. That's, that's an adult. It's pretty of might be an adult. I know. I heard my back bone yard work.
That's an adult move.
It's pretty grown.
That's grown up injury.
Yeah.
I love to see a couple of these guys
hurt their back to yard work.
That's what we're not seeing out of love.
Yeah, I'm not paying people to do my yard work.
I gotta do it myself.
Who is going to fall off?
I was afraid that Harry was gonna take out stew
with that hug after his whole in the water.
Big hug.
Speaking of big, big hug. That was big as Stu. That helped the blue
guy out in a big way. We're happy for that. Stu is, Stu is the world's newest bloke
for making that all in one. The greatest tradition for the masters might be when they throw
it over to Vern for, you know, well, we heard a roar over there. Let's go over to 16.
Thank you, Jim.
This is Stuart Sink.
Verne just gets so giddy.
Steven Sink.
So, you're halfway there to your bet
of more than one hole in one.
I am, and I need it right now.
Before Sunday, too.
I know, I feel like a little broken.
Come on, I know, I'd go, mentally catch that.
We're feeling great about it. You know what I mean, when the problem come on. I know I don't mentally catch that. We're feeling we're feeling great about it
You know what I'm feeling great about my hickory match tomorrow against the pymons on the old course
Yeah, we'll report back me and me and Neil no cameras. No press allowed no caddies. No caddies
It is a mono-emano hickory match on ye old course tomorrow. It's a true duel. Like the gentleman used to do.
It's a gentleman of old.
Who?
I'll cure this.
I challenge the,
who is in the top 10 that is going to explode this weekend?
Who's gonna melt?
Got a, you got a,
a Nicarita?
Yes, full of carita.
I love this.
I'm gonna say Varner.
Varner flies very close to the sun.
And evidence with evidence base.
That's a good pick.
Watson had him for an 80 or something?
81 for round one.
I mean, I feel like Schwarzenwild are the easy choices.
Yeah, that's kind of uninspired picks.
I mean, it's hard.
Varner is like jumping out at me.
Yeah, like basically jumping out at me. Yeah.
Like basically number 10 at Riv.
Yes.
You know, he's played better since then.
He has a win under his belt, since then.
Uh, I don't know.
Pick one.
I'll feed.
I'll feed Chef.
Well, I don't think Shuffle is going to win.
So I, I'll, I'll feed Shuffle.
Uh, I'll say Schwarzl.
Fair. That's, that's the court. I can see, although Kevinler. I'll say she warts all fair.
That's the court.
I can see, although Kevin not respect,
I think is the only other guy besides Sheffler
does have two rounds below par.
Who'd appear that way?
I, he could go away quickly.
Will it's the only guy that is really
just getting a dumb with a putter?
Him and I can. Him and some J are surviving through the skin of the their teeth with the putter who who sorry
some J and will it are the ones that have made all the puts the most of the puts chef was made
a lot too but he's also hitting the shit out of the ball but um zalatoris cork and zalatoris
and more cow that's gonna be a great one to watch. Zalator and Cam Smith had kind of off days.
So I'd be scared of them tomorrow.
Coming, like bouncing back, regressing back to the mean
in a positive way.
What's the lead tomorrow?
I bet Scotty shoots 70 tomorrow.
10 under.
Yeah.
I was gonna say seven under, might be leading. I was gonna say nine. I think he
I wish it's one of theirs a pretty darn good. I think chef 54. I think sheffler does a
speed. I think he wins this by four or five. Wow, it'll be fun. I'm feeling that myself.
Really, really, really, really, really excited to see what Mr. Moore Cowah does tomorrow.
Yeah, I'd be worried about, I mean, you, not worried
because you're excited about it as I am, Shane Lowry.
I mean, that was proper.
That's around a golf today.
So Cody, anything else we missed before we call it a night?
No, I can't believe you guys were that nice on Kevin.
He's gonna fade just like the script underneath that golf
saudi logo on his collar.
Didn't it go away?
Got to give credit. How about got to give credit to our
Inchellown sir played in tough kindities
Not his best day of ball striking. He's gonna fire up the leaderboard
I think it'll be him and him and Scotty tomorrow tight at the top at eight under big day for God
I love these coaches chime in coach is trying to like stab boy on
Dave, oh god, I love this. Cody's chiming, Cody's chiming like Stapboy on TTI.
Picking up on the air, letting us know where we had a bad take.
This is great stuff.
So all right, well thank you everyone for tuning in.
We'll be back here of course on Saturday night and Sunday night.
And I cannot wait to see what happens.
One final thought, I apologize.
Oh, sorry.
You guys, since we got the whole crew here,
what's the difference so far between watching it on Sky,
watching it on a more more.
ESPN, Rockets.
A bit of a hamster, Dan here.
I would, solid, please.
I would say, I was, I don't wanna say I was expecting more,
I expected more of a difference, right?
I pull up the broadcast on my computer
and watch the Sky on TV.
Pretty similar.
There's, for the masters.
I would say the only difference I've noticed,
the ad load's been pretty similar.
I think that's the master's is not liar though.
Okay.
That's what we've heard is watch a regular tour event
on sky versus in the States and it's night and day.
And they keep pronouncing Delta Delta,
which I don't understand what's going on there.
It didn't think that was part of the,
the, the, the bloke accent.
But all the bloke's, they, yeah, they had an R.
Delta.
Delta, where's that?
I don't know what that, I don't know what's going on with that.
Good year.
Yeah.
So that's mixing me up.
That would be the biggest thing, jump off the page at me,
Cody.
Well, no, it's a segment.
Well, you guys got his pronunciations in a four-conference.
No, no, there's, there's been some really neat segments.
Yeah, the, uh, the, the sky presenters in their big booth
out near the cabin there is like the 3D thing.
They're doing like all the shit that CBS is,
you know, kind of like trying to get you hyped about,
but doesn't actually add anything,
they've figured out.
They've got the big like 3D models of the golf holes,
where they're actually showing you like how the holes play. They're doing these like 3D models of the golf holes where they're actually showing you like how the holes play They're doing these big 3D models of like different players swings and showing you like how they break down and what different planes are and how they
Rear out stuff and what tendencies they have those have been awesome and I'm like
Truly I'm not to dump on CBS to total drive by it's like better than anything
The other thing that's crazy, is it rich, beam,
and it's aging or sound like?
You notice that too?
It's like, yeah, I was like, what's easy
to do it on this broadcast?
It's like, no, check it out, that's rich, beam,
I was like, fuck.
I would say it's also just, you know,
puts on display how much CBS has improved.
Like, I just don't, I don't crave more than what they give us now.
I don't think they're, they're not really missing golf shots.
They're not falling horribly behind.
They're not missing storylines like they used to.
So it wasn't life changing today.
So it's, it's, it's totally fine.
It's cool to have both going at the same time,
but like the shots are going up pretty much around the same time.
And it's not, it's not too different.
So, but great question for those asking.
All right.
That is going to do it for tonight.
Bed time for us, we are on the old course tomorrow
and we'll be back here in the same time tomorrow night
and look forward to chatting with you then.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Craig.
Oh, that's tomorrow, baby.
Maybe you.
Be the right club.
Be the right club today. club. Be the right club today.
Yes!
That is better than most.
How about in?
That is better than most.
Better than most.
