Cam, baby.
I mean, it was almost a disappointing 64 with how he finished.
I mean, he's so freaking good at golf.
Like, he's a proper golfer.
He's such a superior golfer to Rory.
It's crazy.
I get the right to do that.

What unit of measurement are you using for that, by the way?
Okay. I derive so much enjoyment from watching cam Smith play golf like even on a couple that
holes on the back nine today
Trying to think which ones come to mind a couple spots where the pin was just above a little ridge
He missed his spot by like eight inches and it goes just over a little mound
Or like on on, he comes up,
Josh, like maybe six inches short, rolls back down.
That could have been a 61 or a 62.
But how's it be putting?
I mean, God, you know, what a...
Mauritius putter of all time.
It's unbelievable.
He's rolling in these 30 footers,
which when Cam has it,
has it going the microwave, man, it's, you know,
it's tough to beat, but does that run out over the weekend, right?
Or does he just keep pressing and, you know,
I just, we were talking about it last night,
worry a little bit about the aggressive play
and whether that's gonna, you know,
that luck's gonna run out a little bit over the weekend.
But he's not a great driver of the golf ball.
That's kind of his one weakness, I think,
and that's a little bit mitigated here.
Sure.
And to the putter question,
I mean, you look what he did
at the players' distance.
Yeah.
And the only time I've really seen him struggle
with the putter was at Southern Hills.
And that wasn't like those greens were weird.
I love Cam too.
I'm just devastated that TC's got like 950 nuggets
on him this week.
So that's just tough for the boys here
to a very conflicted thing to be rooting for.
How did nobody else make a play on it?
I, that was one of those became very apparent to me
after the fact situation.
He hasn't been playing great.
I mean, I looked at it.
He had a good week to Scottish,
but he's been playing very poorly
over the last month leading up to this.
I think this is something that he's been trying to peep for
very much.
Could be.
I'm a little, I don't know if I want to get sucked
into the rabbit hole to address that
He's by far in a way a better golfer than Rory or if we just move on from that

He's come back in shape ready to go this season.

What was the storyline?
We were in a great spot going into the weekend.
The six holes, unleared lots of different storylines.
I mean, I don't think it's much more complicated than that, is it?
I feel like my spidey senses, we've been here a few times with CAM.
So I guess I want to maybe throw some caution that we have a lot of golf remaining,
but should be a
very fun weekend. I think, you know, I'm not sure it's got to be any more complicated
than that, I guess. Guys, takes are so hot, they're just getting
throttled by the Wi-Fi gods in there. But we do have a little debate on the show last night
about a friend of ours that, you know, he hit his opening T-shirt, whether or not it was
intentional, you know, whether or not he was trying to do what he did off the first t-e
yesterday
he went out did the same thing again today we might as well bring him in
and ask him about that maybe some other things that may have happened today but

What I was very confused by by the line of questioning. Well, the shot
tracer didn't like look great on it. It was kind of like a, oh, look, okay, we thinned
that one, but okay, it's out there in the first fairway and we're off. I mean, it was
the one I hit today was definitely more out of the middle, but yeah, your goal there,
I think playing with Tiger nervous as hell is just to move it forward. Matt, Matt just chunked the hell out of his seven wood right before I went.
That was a guy, all right. Well, as long as I kept the scene, we said, bottom three grooves,
it'll never stop rolling out here. So it'll look good. But I hit it all right. But the one I hit
today was definitely cleaner. But I was not, I didn't think that I was under, under fire. I was
surprised, I was surprised of people questioning it that I was under under fire. I was surprised a
Surprised of people questioning it. So this is news to me. Don't be dramatic What more of just an unanswered question and we wanted to go to the source with it before we speculate for the record

Yeah, it was it was odd because you know right when I had the tea time Joe laughed left, or maybe he laughed because, you know, we were playing
at three o'clock and he goes,
well, at least you don't have to think about it,
you know, for a full two days.
So I thought, you know, the lead up was a lot,
but I split up my morning pretty good yesterday
and worked out and like made it feel like I wasn't just
sitting around all day.
And I felt actually oddly normal all morning
and all warm up and then we have to take a shuttle
from the range back to the first tee
and that putting green by it.
And when we got over there and it was just me
Matt and Tiger, it was like holy hell,
like what is this?
Fortunately, talk to Tiger before we walk to the tee
and then, you know, obviously you guys have been there.
And that first tee shot obviously is easy, but it's also oddly like the tee is pretty far
from everybody.
Like it's far from the grandstand on 18.
It's far from the right, the people on the right.
It's far from the grandstand up the right fairway.
You feel kind of like on an island.
And that's already like an eerie thing,
whether you're playing with Tiger or not,
I feel like it would be eerie, you know,
in 60th place on a Sunday.
And I wasn't, you know, thinking too much about that
until when they announced Tiger,
like I realized how many people there were.
Like it was lining, it was the hotel, the Russics Hotel, it was the stands behind was lining it was the ho the rustic hotel
It was the stands behind 18 it was a stands right a one
It was all the people lining the putting green it was all the way up by the green because they do it on a microphone
And everyone can hear it and all of a sudden like holy shit. This feels like it feels like I'm on like a stage
And I went by the time I was able to like walk out to the tee, it feels like you're just so alone.
It feels like you're so alone.
And it's almost, I told Joe, it's almost such an easy t-shot that it like, we all, like
I was talking to Matt about, we saw Polter's t-shirt almost got a bounce and we both said
I really wish to God I had not even seen that because it didn't even seem possible and
then all of a sudden it gets in your mind.
So it was weird, but I mean, great.
And if you're going to be nervous, that's the easiest hole in the world to play.
You can hit whatever you want off the tee and then just go way long.
But man, that is, it was just crazy.
The amount of people was the most nutty thing about it to start the day.
That was the first thing I noticed and then being in start the day. That was like the first thing I noticed
and then being in front of Tiger.
You know, that was really cool, but I'll say this man,
he is really easy to play with.
He was super friendly.
Obviously didn't get off to a great start,
but he was super friendly and made it easy.
And that part was, the cool factor never wore off,
but like the freak out wore off a little bit.
Was, so tell me about today, you know, coming up to 18, you know, you, where are you
adding your round? How focused are you on like what you've got going on versus like the moment
that's unfolding right in front of you? Yeah, you know, we thought about it yesterday when we got to
the 18th hole because obviously it was just Thursday, but like you know when you go over that bridge, it's like signify something and
Like engulfed Laura, I guess, but I was like oh, you know, I should probably let Tiger just go first him
He got like a ovation walking up 18 yesterday, too
Obviously nothing like today, but he did so like lag back a little bit or whatever
And then I was thinking about that for today because obviously didn't play well yesterday
and to make the cut today would add a ball out.
So for the back nine, it was in my head
that at some point we were gonna have,
we're getting a lot of ovation for him.
Like he was getting a lot of ovation.
So that was cool.
You get to the popular holes
and people are really cheering for him.
It was cool.
I was in full grind mode all day today. I got
to a bad start, which was actually kind of cool because I felt it felt very normal playing with him
because I was just like doing my thing. And then yeah, on 18, I needed to make eagle.
So, you know, I hit it, I hit a t-shirt down, down the fairway, and then I just stood to the side,
and we just like waited and he
like kind of lagged off the tee which was funny and am I still here yeah we got
through all the all froze but yeah so like I lagged off the tee and and Matt
lagged off the tee and then the caddies all went right and Tiger was like
slowly I was like you need to walk because I'm not walking in front of you. Look at you say that's
who walking. No, no, just like just please start walking because I will sit my ass on this tea.
And like he so we started walking up in like LeCov, like even tap mat I saw on the shoulder and said walk like go ahead and
he we're like like no shot.
So we were wonder if he was going to stop.
Joe and I were wondering if he was going to stop on the bridge
or do anything.
I thought he was such a robot.
He might just keep going.
But he took his hat off when he did.
I slowed down.
I even more.
It was really funny.
Matt looked back at me while he was getting over the bridge.
And I was like, Matt, you are too close for comfort, right?
I was like, I was like like you could have the coolest picture
ever if your head was just like kind of in the corner of someone's picture of like that bridge
picture it would be so funny but uh no it was cool me and Matt actually had a lot of foam walking
together up that fairway we got a he got across the bridge obviously got a great ovation but it was
just the rest of the walk it was really eerie in a cool way like super surreal Matt's entire
Fairway was just absolutely buzzing
I'm just kind of watching him from afar really felt like I was in a movie
You know, I had like the coolest view ever Matt and I were chatting it up and like having a laugh and
is I don't know I was I was telling somebody after like
They asked me if it was inspirational like what I saw. I was telling somebody after, like, they asked me if it was inspirational,
like, what I saw, and I was like, it's not really inspiring because his career is so unthinkable
to touch that many people through the game of golf and to see it kind of in one hole was, you know,
people say goose bumps or whatever, but it was like all those things. It's just like, you realize he's had an important part
of my life, obviously, as a golfer,
as your life is a golfer,
but you don't realize just how many people
absolutely adore that man.
And it was cool to see it all in like one kind of,
20 minute setting.
What do you say to him after you guys finish out?
Like, what can you say to Tiger after he's just possibly played?
Like, I personally think he's gonna play again in St. Andrews,
but what do you say to him after what's possibly
his final round of the whole course?
Man, well, I wanted to say,
why the fuck did you miss that pie?
But no, I mean, I told him it was an honor
to play with him last two days.
And I think it was been really cool.
I did, obviously, man, I were talking to him.
We didn't know him back in 0506 when he was, you know, on top of the golfing world, you know, with his game, I mean.
But like he's ever since I first met him in 13, he's been nothing but nice. He's even like a couple times gone out of his way.
I did his charity thing this year and he called me after to thank me.
Like very, like, very cool.
And so I feel like he has this understanding as he's, you know, seen, I guess what he means
to so many of us that like, he's been really cordial and I think appreciative of even
when he like he didn't play well at all this weekend.
He grinded his ass off and he was very cool to everybody.
Absolutely like, you know, just like most professionally you could imagine, no moping, no
nothing like just grinding and like getting to go around with him for the two days, you
know, it was the one of the coolest things I've ever experienced.
And, you know, that's why I said it was an honor to be with him.
And I feel like he even like said something back kind of just like,
like a sincere thank you, not like a blow by thank you.
And I think he gets how cool it is for all of us.
I know he knows we all want to beat the hell out of him.
And he wants to beat the hell out of us.
And I think that's also like, I think the fun part for everybody is like, we're all battling, but I think he knows that like,
it's also just a bucket list. I mean, it was to do it here and just the way 18 sits. It was like, it was silly, man. It was, I don't know, it was the next level.
What does he call you? Okay. So always, always thought it was going to be
Maxi my entire life. I always joke, I even joke with George Savaricus about
it. I said, Maxi is not a cool nickname. You had a wide of most names and it
doesn't sound as cool. Maxi is like, you know, this is not that cool.
And so I'm one, or sorry, the first day on the putting green,
walking by, I'm like I said before he went to the tee
and he put his hand out to shake my hand,
he said, he said, play well today, homey.
And I'm like, hell yeah, this will go.
I said, I got a nickname and it is cool.
I'm going with it.
And then this morning, on Friday morning,
we're getting the cards and Tiger had my card.
And we're like, they handed us all our own cards
and then we had to kind of swap them around.
So he's like, oh, I had Maxi's card.
I'm like, fuck.
I'm back.
But I had a 24 hours, maybe a little less of homey
and I'll take that.
I thought maybe it's short at the homes.
Or M, or H. M. I'm going to take all, I mean, I'll take that. I thought maybe he'd shorten it to homes or M or H.
M.
I mean, I'll take Maxie.
It doesn't bother me, but it was funny, man.
It was exactly.
He did.
It was cool to be around.
He did all the mannerisms.
I was telling Joe, like we got to tell Sully that on 14 Tiger hit his drive left and
he said, get left.
Get away.
Get away left.
And that was awesome. He had a lot of like just like
the cool mannerisms like little stuff like that. I actually really got a lot of advice before I
played from like older players and like people who played with them you know a decent amount
in big moments and they're just talking about not getting in his world like you know don't watch him
and I really felt like I didn't but there's times like you're obviously not going to miss it
and at times like you just are you are watching a little bit I mean
I would watch I'm watching Matt play but you know I I don't know every waking you know tick that
Matt has because I haven't seen him play thousands of hours of golf but I have seen Tiger play so
it's funny to see that stuff up close. Joe asked a great question today.
We're wondering if Tiger has more money in his bank account or if there's been more pictures
taken of Tiger Woods and his lifetime. And I'm not really sure the answer. It's got to
be pictures. There are so many freaking people here and everyone always has their phone
up. It's crazy. He's like, he's's he's just a I'm going to go with pictures.
If we're talking about straight money in the bank account net worth though, I'm going to
say that's what we were we're in dabbling, which one would be a better. What? So this
was homey. What hole was this on it that you were joker. We're deep in this thought exercise.
It's two I think two to this morning because when he's mad and I were talking
about it when you stand on the tee so Tiger going first sucks because right when he
hits everyone just like everybody but a lot of people just leave and which is
I don't blame them but I thought they were supposed to be the best fans in golf
they shouldn't be they are they're great They were quiet about it, but they,
they do leave. And you hear them, you know, everybody does it. It's like when you
play with Bryson, Marori, and they hit a bomb. It's like everyone's talking about
it while you're over the ball. Um, but like when Tiger was like after one of us,
we would like stand to the side, obviously, wait for him to hit. And we, man, I
were talking about like you just look into the crowd and everyone has their
hand in the air with their phone. And's a sea of people like a sea of people
it was crazy so it was fun to watch that so that's why I think Joe asked that we started
talking about it because like man I couldn't get over to so many people are just fixated
on them it's it's hilarious Max every time I every time I looked up I feel like you
and you and Fitz,
you were thickest thieves out there.
You look like, especially coming out of 18,
you look like two guys,
I'm like, I can't believe they let us do this, man.
Like two high school middle schoolers.
Like, oh my God, can you believe that we're out here
with the cat?
Like, were you tight with Matt before,
or is this a budding bromance?
I've always really liked Matt.
Like, you know, back back in the Walker Cup.
He was on the team that we killed.
And we like, we did like the exchanging of ties.
Uh, it's like a tradition.
It's very corny, but like we end up being linked up there.
And I so I got to talk to him that day.
And I've always really liked him.
He's got a he's he's kind of like to himself.
And I like people like that because I kind of like being myself and
breaking down a rough exterior.
Because like when you just look at him, he really doesn't like, you know, he's a lot
like Tiger in a way, he just does his own thing and he's a really hard worker and a tremendous
golfer. But every time we've ever played together, I've enjoyed being around and we play practice rounds.
Practice round one, so played the PGA last year together.
And I enjoy being around and he's funny.
He's a good cool dude.
But this is like the fun part about being around him
this week was he's obviously a unbelievable player,
top 10 in the world, major champion.
In the mix this week.
He's a tremendous talent and a really tough, tough dude.
And it was fun being able to have these chats here and there
about like, how crazy this experience was,
because he's played with him before.
He said it's nothing like playing a major.
It's like a whole different beast,
walking a bait team with him and like laughing
about what we're watching was cool.
Because like, honestly, a tough part about this,
like this week, or at least least today like after not playing well is like so many people in
like my DMs and all these people call me fanboy and like that we're like that's
why we can't like I didn't play well or whatever it's like annoying and also
like reaffirming that like me and Matt can like or at least Matt did go out there
and like appreciate what's happening
And then also go play like good golf
Because you know we are like in a way a fanboy. I mean the dude is
The dude these tiger woods
What are you gonna do just like not look and even like when we're walking up 18?
When we're up by the green tiger hat is put
And like I looked on the fairway and you know like JT, who do you play with? JT, Lowry and
Hovland were like completely flipped around watching tiger finish. It's like he just,
he has so much respect from everybody and everybody just wants to like kind of see and be
a part of whatever he's doing in a way. So Matt and I were just enjoying kind of that experience and I don't know,
it was fun. I had a lot of expectations getting to play with them this week and I feel like
it lived up to it. Obviously we both didn't play great, but the fan stuff and all that.
It was really freaking cool.
I'd let that stick with, I'd let the DMs
from the random people.
I let that be a lasting memory for the week.
Yeah, the guys that are mad about their fantasy line.
Yeah, really, I would take that away from this week.
That's a big thing to carry with you for a while.

That one knowing.
The golf gambling stuff is just the most annoying thing.
That's what kept me out of DFS for so long
and now I actually really enjoyed doing it,
but those bros just absolutely.
So I always got a whole different side
that we don't see that.
Yeah, Max, I do have a question for you though.
I was wondering this yesterday.
The group that juju on Thursday,
between the three of you,
just felt like you guys were all grinding.
And the cat's not playing well,
all these expectations, they get some bad luck,
he double bow, he's the first hole.
Do you feel like that impacts your round?
Like the energy, or did you feel like it was the course
was just playing really hard, and you didn't play
as good as you wanted to?
And tell us about St. Andrews,
playing at St. Andrews in general,
and what's happened over the past two days,
and then how you see this tournament playing out? Yeah, I don't think that the Juju was bad in our group because I actually felt
like part of the grind of all three of us was like everyone felt like they were kind of
rooting for each other, which like helps the group.
Mojo, the problem was is nobody can make a putt.
It was making puts.
It was making puts.
Nice.
I've had no, no people to putt in for the whole day and it was hard. I mean, she was making cuts. Yeah. Nice.
I've had no, no people to put in for the whole day.
And it was hard.
I mean, we got, I'm not saying we got like some bad wave
by any means.
But like, it was, you know, the front nine
played a bit windier.
So we're watching all these guys, you know, in the morning,
hit these shots in close.
And when we get to the holes, Matt and I were talking about,
it's like, you know, we saw seven.
He told me, he's like, I saw people like
landed on the down soap and they kind of check it
and we're like hitting balls that are just
bounding to the back half of the green.
So it was hard and then you had it
and nobody was putting well and it,
so that was tough.
I don't think it was the juju, like,
again, like going back to like Tiger grind it
and it was watching
everybody grind was like good in a way because it is a major I mean you know I was watching
the coverage and they're showing all these great shots and birdies or whatever as they
always do and then they you know the cuts even par so it's like not like everybody's out
there ballin but the course is hard this is a firm is golf course I've ever played
I asked Joe if it was firmer than karnusty. And he says it was basically the same thing.
And you know, those balls were rolling 100 yards.
He said that Karnusty is a little easier with the firm because the holes play straight
downwind and straight into the wind more.
So the balls, when they start rolling, they're flying.
If you get it online, it'll just keep rolling.
Here, here it was like, you know, there's a lot lot I feel like a lot of angles where certain
certain t-shots just like 16 16 with this win would be my least favorite all
out here and as we've already discussed in text like I I pretty much love all of
them but like I didn't love 16 with this win but then I watched the guys coming
in this afternoon when the win switched a little bit and it would it made you
know it makes sense on paper but when it's down off the right, there's nowhere to hit hit the ball really like the fairway slopes from right to left, there's OB right and it's just like even if you landed in the right half the fairway, it's, like today we laid back through the fairway
left and then, you know, I didn't have a long shot in,
but I still had no, you know, no angle,
no way to spin it.
So that hole was tough with that wind.
14 was brutal with the wind, like Tiger on Thursday,
like, Fand a drive, like did not look awesome.
And it gets up there and went 410.
And he had like a nine iron end. And it was up there and went 410 and he had like a nine iron
in and it was like, man, the fairway like, some of those angles just made it so hard, but
it was so cool because the firmness made everything fun. Like retisants last week, you
couldn't run balls up to the fronts of greens because it's not like, you know, it's not
really like a true links in that way. It's not good golf course. Yeah, exactly. Not
a good golf course. Exactly. That's my favorite golf course.
Don't say that guy.
So it was cool to be able to play this one
where it's like you always had an option to bounce it up.
And I thought it was like, that was, that was sweet.
But yeah, I mean, it was hard because the, the T balls,
I mean, we hit it on Thursday.
We hit it in the FESCUE on purpose four times.
That's awesome. Today we hit it in the FESCUE in the fest few on purpose four times. That's awesome.

But I do agree. It's awesome.
Like I said, 16 was the only hole that was like kind of it.
It's just like that hole makes so much sense to me.
Like I really like that hole, but with that wind, it is obviously not
unplayable, but it's like it was pretty frickin hard to think about hitting the
right fairway.
I was like the first thing you said this morning.
Well that pin just that was the one pin today that was kind of like dude there's not even
like an incentive to take on the aggressive line here because there's no good angle into
this one, which that was the only one that's kind of like all right well we're just not
letting you get to 16 today.
Yeah, which would again like I totally find okay, but like It's just like it's a funky is funky like with that so I don't know
But yeah the rest of the offers. I mean 17's a

17 is a really really cool hole

But damn it's a hard to shot today. Being like too off the cut,
getting to play that hole is a lot easier. I took it over the L and Hotel and it was in the right
center of the fairway and every other day, pracht run include them in the left fest view.
But that's an amazing hole. The hole golf course is good. Links to so tough, man. Like,
I could have played six more pracht rounds finally, like, maybe new, what was going
on. I'm glad I have a really good caddy who works really hard because we pretty I pretty much
told him Thursday or Wednesday night. I was like, you're gonna do the t-shots. Like just tell me where
to hit it because it's it's a lot, but I like the picture of what is going on in front of me and
on these golf courses. You it's hard to because you can't see the bunkers,
you can't see anything, which is sweet.
But it's so hard out on like four, five, six.
Like that's the part of the course I struggle with the most
because it's so blind.
But there's no frame of reference.
There's nothing out there that you can look at.
Whereas like coming back into town,
you can kind of pick out the steep holes
in the town and everything.
But I love it though here in like guys hit shots and be like,
that's okay, right?
Like to the caddy, like, is that fine there?

Because you just can't, you can't retain all that information.
But, I've never, I've never played before, like ever,
where you would walk up to the fairway and see three balls
and have to check all three of them.
Like, I didn't, you don't know where your ball ends up.
There was multiple times, like to your point,
solid like on six, I think the first day I hit one.
And it was like five yards left in my line.
And I was like, Joe's that all right.
And he's like, I think so.
And like we're walking up and there's one bunker up there
on the left that like, I'm like, ah, the ball might be in it.
And we walk up and it's 25 yards right of it, totally fine.
And I'm like, you know, you take like a big sigh of relief. And then today on 12, I thought I,
I thought I drove the green and I get up and I can hear the guy in front of me that Marshall say,
oh, you know, Max is balls in the bunker, Max is on the green and I'm like, damn, like,
you know, you just, it's just the lines are so hard to get super tight.
And which is fun. But you could play, I feel like you could play here like 20 times
and still not like fully know what is going on.

I feel like we've seen Cam in this position before
and it's gone other ways.
But I do think what makes this time different
and the more I think about it,
the more I like them is,
there just aren't big, huge mistakes to be had on this course
with the plan pretty benign.
And so I think his
aggressiveness is honestly going to serve him well. I mean, he can, he needs to pin his ears back
all weekend and go get it. I mean, I'm looking at the leaderboard. There's not a guy in the top
25 today that has a six on their scorecard, you know, it's going to be who can make the most
birdies. And for that reason, I think it's a little different than we've seen can at Augusta, where
at a PGA or the US Open, where you have to bring in some patients and you can't go after
everything.
I think this tournament is different.

I think the aggressiveness is not necessarily something that's going to cost him. Like that's been our critique of him
in recent months. I just don't want to get the narrative out there that he's a big game

campsmiths. When he gets in one of those bunkers in a weird spot, like take your medicine dog,
which he's not good at doing.
But like I said last night, it's like I feel like it's so firm as it is right now that
there are certain total no go pins that he knows he can't get close to.
So there's no reason to try.
I think he gets in trouble when he can get close to a pin, like going at that back right
pin at Augusta on Sunday at number 12.
Like he's like, I can do this shot, I'm gonna go for it right now
and didn't pull it off.
There's so many places around there
where you have to go to the brake pedal
and just go around the curve slowly.

Yeah, so what you guys were talking about before, it is a front runners golf course for sure.
Since World War II, so modern golf, there have been 15 opens at
St. Andrews. Nobody's come from more than three strokes back after 36 holes in any of the
15 except Jack Nicholas in 1978 was four strokes back. So other than that, I'm bringing you
got to be you got to be be a new leader at 36. Yes, I don't know.
Anybody can get a seven or eight back, especially the wind forecast, your models, uh,
Tron was we know they're always correct. So, uh, um, if, if, if it's what they say, it
is, and there's not that much wind, I just don't see somebody coming from seven back,
especially with the names at the top.
And talking about the names at the top, I mean, who do you think of the guys in the top
five? We'll cut it off at Dustin.
A really top top eight because Adam Scott, I think this would probably be talking about legacy and stuff like that. I mean, Adam Scott, this feels like it's probably the most important for him from
a legacy perspective. It would totally change the. I think so. I mean, it's the biggest opportunity.
You know, if he wins, now he's got more, he's got more majors than any other Aussie,
except for Peter Thompson.
He's tied with the shark, but he's
got the first green jacket for an Australian.
So that's kind of the tiebreaker.

as far as the setup of the course this week?
Just kind of pin placements, firmness, all that.
I heard you talking about 11, I hate 11.
I mean, that is maybe the part three in the world going back to longest.
They'd extended the left hand side of the green, but when they do that, what made 11 so great was there was just no bailout.
If you came out short, you're going to roll back into one of those bunkers, like Bobby
Jones did, and if you go above that whole location, it's, you know, you go, God forbid, you
go over the back of that green, it's death.
And by adding that area on the left, now they've kind of made it safe to play to the middle degree.
And it almost kind of creates a little backstop.
And so I kind of, I don't love that.
It's the shortest hole in the course.
And I just think, part of what made it so damn terrifying
was that there was, it had to be perfect.
And it was also one where, you had to have the trajectory.
You had to have the distance and was also one where like, you know, you had to have the trajectory,
you had to have the distance and the trajectory and the spin.
You know, and we don't get that Thursday through Sunday on the PGA Tour, right?
It's, you only get that in major championship golf and it doesn't happen very often.
And I just love whether it's, you know, the 11th hole at Chinatown or the, you know, or
at St. Andrews or wherever, when you get a little one like that, that there's just so
much that goes into 120 yard golf shot and you got to be able to do all of it.
And it's something they don't practice. And so that pin on 11 to me was kind of a cop
out a little bit. But I wonder if because of the three sums and the issues that they're
having in the loop, if they were like, I mean, if you look back at all the pins, they've
put it, you know, on nine, they've been, I mean, nine was tucked on the left, but 10, you know, it's been
pretty benign, 11, 8, pretty benign.
I'm wondering if they're kind of like, all right, let us get through three sums because
we know Sunday they're going to put it right behind the Strath bunker on 11.
And I imagine it'll be, it'll be fairly difficult tomorrow on 11 as well on Saturday.

estate, which was a, you know, big estate kind of outback where the driving range is now in St.
Andrews, the Linkstress driving range, and they kept doing these leases, but they wouldn't actually
sell the land, and they were always long time members of the RNA.
And I think one of them, I think, was the longest member.
He was a member of the RNA for like 75 years.
He got in when he was a teenager and he died when he was 90 years old.
But they retained the rights to this property.
And it was on lease.
And as part of their rights, they had the right to six T times a day on demand throughout the year.
So including the days the open championship was being held.
So in theory, if the chiefs were not getting along with the town folks or we're not getting along with the RNA,
they could have strolled out there and teed it up right in the middle of the British Open.

They had it all the way until 1992.
It's not like this is some story from 1885.
This went on until 1992, until finally,
I think it just made them nervous
if there was some kind of tragedy or something happened
