I'm going to give you the right club.
Be the right club today.
That's better than most.
How about it?
That is better than most.
Better than most
Ladies and gentlemen, we are live welcome back to the no-ling up live show presented of course by our friends at Yeti
Sully here DJ Pai is here. Hello, mr. Pai man. Hey guys. What it what a great day. What a thrill happy to be you. Man, I was really worried about what we'd have to talk about tonight.
We lined up a couple of guests just to make sure we get through the show.
And now I'm not afraid of having a shortage of things to talk about.
Big Randy is here, jazzed up.
He's got presents, cup fever.
He's got a sickness.
Hello, big Randy.
I was excited.
Finally felt something.
We might have too much to talk about tonight, but good to be with you guys for day three,
looking forward to it.
Tom Kim has put the internationals on his back and speaking of backs, rowback, active
where I don't need to tell you guys, DJ did not get the memo tonight.
He is not wearing a rowback, but you know, big rainy's got the hoodie.
You know, I got one of my many, many rowback hoodies on these guys understand quality.
Their performance polo fit so much better than your typical boxy polos.
Their four way stretch is next level.
The founders went through over 20 iterations of the collar alone to ensure it keeps its
shape, but it does not get in the way of your golf swing.
Second, the rowback performance QZips are a game changer.
Nothing beats a round of fall golf in a rowback QZip.
You can wear it, you know, you can wear it to work.
If you wanted to, you could wear it to the bar, you could wear it sitting outside having a costume.
Depending where you work. Correct. Yeah, but I don't want it. It's too
free. I don't want to get fired. Okay. By break and dress cut. Okay. Thank you for the
legal ease of that one. That was going to get to that eventually. But last say, rowback's
performance, what can we say about it? That has not already been said. I've probably worn
this four times since the last time I washed it. It barely even stinks. It does stink a little
bit, but that's just, that's, that's what happens during, during
big championship weeks.
I don't really leave the house and I just sit around in my filth, but we cannot take them
off and it's for good reason.
Rowback is gaining traction.
Big time, you can use code NLU at rowback.com for a generous 20% off your first order.
That's R-H-O-B-A-C-K dot com, 20% 20% off polo's q-zips hoodies and more with code NLU
they just dropped some joggers which we do not have our hands on yet but we're going
to change that very quickly here but whoa whoa whoa Davis love had a six shot six point
lead on a Saturday afternoon two matches left on the golf course, home soil. There's a maniac running around on the greens.
They lost the last two matches and they're going into Sunday
with only a four point lead.
Do the international have life, guys?
Do they have life?
Yes, absolutely.
Is it still an extremely long shot?
Yes, and I hate to pour cold water on it right away, but they got to still win eight and a half
out of 12 tomorrow.
It's not like we got it all back today, but we kept it competitive.
At least there's a lot to talk about.
Tom Kims' star.
And there's a reason to watch tomorrow.
Randy, what am I missing?
I mean, I think the proper vernacular, Sali, yes, the US team did lose those last two matches,
but I was so impressed. The international team really won those two matches. The shot
making down the stretch by some unheralded, at least coming into this week, mostly unheralded. Rookies was a lot of fun to watch
and really provided the first real juice,
I think, the first real juice of the weekend,
which is awesome.
So, as DJ said, long way to go,
little concern, the internationals might be celebrating
and I like they won the game, which, you know,
hey, enjoy the great day,
but lots of work to do tomorrow, be celebrating the night like they won the game, which, you know, hey, enjoy the great day,
but lots, lots of work to do tomorrow, which we can talk about.
Let's bring in our guests. We got one. It's a beautiful evening in the Northeast as he's
told us. So he's going to be coming to you from outdoors, I believe somewhere in Connecticut.
Of course, from the golf channel, Mr. Shane Bacon Shane. How much golf you watched today? I watched a lot of golf and I came away with one thing and one thing only don't sit
Max home. A guy's what are you doing? Look what's happened? You put Max on the bench,
hottest guy in the world. What a Tony Fienel say. He's Mr. Clutch. And then, you know,
they start to call back.
I'm down to second, do some second guessing here,
with total hindsight tonight.
I'm way in on doing this.
I was kind of okay last night,
and Randy, I want to echo your sentiments
and how good the international's played in this afternoon session.
It was not handed to them in any way,
but that was kind of okay with, like,
all right, I didn't really,
I guess I didn't really fight it with the inevitability
of we're going to send out Horseshoe,
we're going to send out Kisner in separate four ball groups. And just because I was kind of like, do I'm I going to get
seriously worked up the US is up 85,000 points. I just don't want that to be what people remember about
this week, but looking back at it, they completely, completely wasted a Sam Burns exhibition today and
lost that match. And Kevin Kisner gave Tony Fee now absolutely
nothing. And that's just that's two points right there off the bat. And then Tom Kim and
Siwo Kim did their thing to beat the Cantlay Shoffley group, which rested in the morning,
also which now we can kind of call into question if they can rest in the morning and come out
to lose in the afternoon. But I don't know if it's participation trophy SCN, but it didn't
feel like they were setting up pairings
in that afternoon with the idea of,
let's get as many points as possible.
It felt like a, let's please everybody kind of thing.
My honest, I think you had an issue with the senior night setup.
You didn't like them rolling out senior night.
Everybody gets a shot.
They were running plays for Kizner out there.
The team manager got to check into the game.
They let them have the part five.
Like, that's right.
We hit it in there close on the part five.
Yeah, and then when, when kind of push came to shove,
it wasn't quite enough.
It, I think, saw this was kind of some of what I was,
I want to get back to the pairings
because I think that's interesting.
But I think this is some of what I was talking about
with like me and these competitions are so long
and they have been flowed.
And it did the international's play that much better today than they have the past couple days?
I really don't think so.
I feel like they just, those last couple holes of those last couple matches notwithstanding.
That was a different level of golf.
But the rest of it was kind of, you know, it was a lot of those like 45, 55 probability
matches that just all went to the US the first couple days and finally they
got a couple a couple go in their way. So it was it was good to see that.
The I will Adam Scott showed up which was which was great to see he got today.
Beige day. Let me just give a shout out to This isn't going to make a lot of sense right now,
but when tourist sauce comes out,
you guys are going to remember this day in the present cup.
That's all I'm going to say.
The 10.
Bajjte's there.
I love it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I, I, I, I, Kudos, you know, I just talked to him.
Let's just do, let's do the whole time, Kim thing.
Let's do the whole thing again.
And that's, that's where I was going to go,
Sal, he kudos to the international team for for coming out with energy
I had I was so impressed listening to Tom Kim's interview after his match saying essentially
He's taken upon himself to kind of be the energy guy at 20 at at 20 in his first
Obviously his first presence cup
20 and his first obviously his first presence cup, first time really on anywhere close to as big a stage as this is.
It's really, really impressive.
And I'm just so happy that he, you know, he had,
hit shots and really backed it up and had good reason
to be as excited as he was.
It was really fun to watch.
I'll say this, Patrick Reed fooled a lot of us for more years than it should have because
he was so into it in 2014 and what he did in 2016, it lasted.
He got a bottom self, like two years of runway of overlooking serious, serious deficiencies
in his, uh, in his character that even the European fans are like, I, you got a hand at
the read.
Like I respected him.
Like he's an entertainer.
And now we have a likable Patrick Reed character in team events.
Tom Kim brought, again, he did it again today, pumped up the crowd on the first tee.
He was there to have the time of his life.
And as it turns out, that actually helps you play a lot better golf and rise to the occasion
of these moments.
And you get one of any year where you get to run around the green like an absolute maniac
making huge puts on the 18th green max. Oh, I got to do it yesterday. And Tom Kim got to do it today.
And there was just I had about four different things prepared for once that putt went in
because there was zero doubt that that putt was going to go in. I knew that everybody
in the whole anybody that watched any of the president's cup this week knew that putt was
going in. Can I ask you guys real quick? Did you think for a second when he started to move that it might not go in?
No, because I did.
I thought he turned his back and he like, yeah, it was going to be Nicky young.
Yeah, it was going to be the young.
We're running over to the guys.
They're like, Hey, it lived out.
You still got three feet.
I was, I was nervous.
Um, I, Sully, this is right in your world
and I was gonna text you guys this yesterday.
Now we have back-to-back great golf celebrations
in consecutive days.
That has to be the only time that's ever happened.
The max celebration yesterday
is an all-time celebration.
He nailed it.
It was a great thing to Yale.
He stepped with all the words.
The chess pumps were awesome.
And then Tom did it.
I mean, these were like 20 out of 10 celebrations. I would dare I would go as far as to say
I'm not sure there's ever been a tiger celebration as good as those two back-to-back celebrations
That's that's very well said cam Davis had a good one too. I mean it was a little more subtle
But it was just like emphatic he played that final putt extremely quickly and just throw it at right in the middle and
Just walked off into the night.
I mean, it was, gosh, I guess something about, I guess every president's cup in some way
we've root for the international's to make it somewhat interesting.
Like, if that was Europe that had done this, I'd have been like, I'd be in tears right
now because I think I'd be so worried about tomorrow.
But this competition, it's like, all right, come on, we got to have something, we got to
give us something here.
I think the last hour, Rainier, you're gonna love this
and know you love this stuff.
Their win probability went from 1% to 3% in the last hour,
but so just keeps everything.
Keep it in perspective for how ridiculous it would be
if they would be the US by four and a half points tomorrow.
But yeah, at least we have something
excited to talk about tonight, because that was great theater. Again, four balls delivered. Both sessions of four balls
were fantastic. For some's both neither of them really gave us a whole lot to react to.
But the I think there's going to be two things that will be kind of slept on in that last
hour. One will be the fact that that Tom Kim shot came in from like 235 yards. Is it looked
like it looks like everybody in that last group had like flip wedges into into 18, right?
I don't know what they actually had in into the last hole, but like the dart from Burns
and the shot that came Davis hit in there all looked like, you know, maybe not flip wedges,
but they looked like a lot closer than 235.
Burns had 157 in on 18.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
And Tom Kim was that far back and he had to roast a two iron in there.
Like that's that's crazy.
And then two is just Cam Davis in general, like those last three holes that he played.
I know he kind of fell off a little bit in the middle of the round, but he's been so
solid all week.
And that that was like.
I was texting a buddy,
like man, they really cut to that.
Cam Davis putt for the win really quickly.
And there's almost like, I think they almost like mentally thought,
okay, it's gonna be the Adam Scott putt.
Like, let's get ready for that.
It's like, dude, there's no way Cam was missing that at that point.
Like that, he was the dude.
It was awesome.
His shot in the 16, too.
I mean, a lot was kind of happening at that point,
that fade into that pin and making Eagle on 16.
He finished Eagle Birdie Birdie to go and steal that match
away from San Burns who birdied one, three, eight, nine,
11, 12, 14, and was gonna birdie 18.
They gave them, they marked them as a birdie on 18.
Eight birdies and 18 holes.
And just, but Horsesle did come up with a clutch birdie on 16,
but that was all he gave him for the entire day.
And Matt, just to piggyback on that, Tully,
I think it's worth pointing out, Cam Davis,
he did go Eagle Birdie birdie,
but he had Adam Scott, like right there on each hole,
I believe with an eagle putt,
with a birdie putt, with a birdie putt.
So he had his teammate and, you know,
providing cover for him.
And props Adam Scott,
I've been tough on him these first couple of days.
He showed up today, he played excellent golf.
It's what I expect from him.
But just to juxtapose that with Tom Kim on 18, his partner, CW's
off in the shit. Like it was on Tom Kim there. And for him to step up and hit that long iron,
I think that for that reason was the most a little bit more impressive to me than even the
Cam Davis run down the stretch. Yeah.
Yeah. Solly is, is Cam Davis Ian Polter in your scenario? Is it can Davis is Ian or Tom,
I think Tom Kim's filter, Tom Kim's filter, Tom Kim's the end polter. Okay. I mean,
I feel like with the Davis finish, then you kind of have Adam Scott playing Rory there.
And then you can, like we've got young Tom Kim as, as Sergio, right?
That's what I'm saying. There you go. First, first, and onto the scene and, and turn it
into a team play stunt.
As Porter said, if somebody arrives via police escort tomorrow, then we officially get
worried.
But to your point, Randy, Adam Scott birdied 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 in that middle stretch.
And I think the only thing preventing Cam Davis just made his putts.
So Adam Scott, like, didn't even get to make those eagle or birdies down the stretch.
Well, I know this is so doable with every one of these
team events in both sides and whatever,
but man, if Adam Scott shows up a little bit sooner
or if Corey Conner shows up or like all those,
there were so many close matches Thursday and Friday
that this thing could have been like one or two
points instead of four points and then it gets really interesting, I think, but it's the way it goes.
Well, you know, it's the first line of their national anthem, but oh, Canada, Canada, zero points
combined from your two players. You know, how about we pull our weight up there? But hey, also credit that fire
litter to their ass. The captain, I got a tight 15 down at the club tonight. If anybody's
in Denver, graphics guy should have been all over that. They do that was good.
It got me good. I hit me right in the fields, Randy. That's right on my alley.
The, uh, the captain that did not hesitate to sit two of his players for the entire day won the day is what is
I'm gonna leave you with that. Why is that? Why would that be?
What's going what's going on in the US the US team room? What is it?
But he sat Bizzadon Hote and Pereira today and
Came out and won the day Trevor. I'm a man did so parents. I hate it
I hate it. See my guy best on the pitch, but you know, you gotta
Gotta give credit where credit stood a to Captain Evil bit on that one.
Parents are on their way out. We were planning to play a little game here. We're
Shane and I were going to represent the US.
Yeah, no, don't look at him. I won't look at it. I won't look at him. We're going to, we're
going to play a game as if we were the captain. So we're not second guessing anything
here. Who goes first in it? Does the US go first or does the international's go first?
I forget what the rules would, of this would be. Let's just say the US goes first. Okay.
Bacon, who we sent in out first seems seems appropriate. Do you want to go heavy first?
Because we got to win the early match. I think I think I think it now is heavy after having
this momentum shift. So my thinking Zander Zander first out or JT first out. I would send JT
out first. That would be my pick.
All right, we'll put Justin Thomas first spot Sunday, fellas.
Okay, Randy, what a, talk to me, what do you think?
And I know Tom Kim is the easy one,
but I don't think we can do that.
That's all the eggs in one bag.
You guys are such babies.
You would be, that is, you get the chance to do it
in a hypothetical, you have to send them out.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
we're going to win. It's like, it's like Hideki in Adam Scott the first day. Like if they go and get the chance to do it in a hypothetical. You have to send Davis out first. Big. I think he's feeling himself.
He obviously feeds on the juice.
They're putting up JT.
Let's do it.
Yeah, let's see what the young kids got.
We're gonna have to move quicker through this.
You guys, who's going out second?
All right, Cam Davis.
Who's that?
We'll toss out, D2.
Who do we like back in him up?
We gotta go strong, right?
Yeah, Seawoo.
Okay.
I mean, they can't be too far from each other, right?
Sully, like they need to be within two or three hundred yards
at all times in these team matches
or we just throw Jordan there
and just let him follow JT up.
I'm gonna save Jordan for Seawoo.
I would put max out next then.
I think that's still in advantage.
You just want like a little incremental advantage there and then I would put max out next then. I think that I think it's still in advantage. You just want like a little incremental advantage there.
And then I would throw, I would maybe throw Xander out third
if that works with you.
I love it.
Max second Xander third.
Good luck, fellas.
I think we got to go with the original tan.
You read my mind.
We'll put up Adam Scott.
Okay.
And then we're going to back that up with, uh, with
SungJM. Yes. We're building the wall. Hold hold. You can. SungJ's tough,
solid. SungJ is is tough as it comes. I would like a little experience going up against
SungJ. And my, in my, in my opinion, all my years, Captain, and assistant vice captains
assistants, I would probably lean more of a veteran here. I would say either Cantlay or Burns in my opinion, all my years captaining and assistant vice captain's assistance,
I would probably lean more of a veteran here.
I would say either Cantlay or Burns right here.
I think we're gonna fight fire with fire here.
Okay, let's throw Pat Cantlay out there.
Let's throw him out there.
Okay, good match.
And then we throw Burns out next, I would say.
Perfence, a lot of firepower.
God, is this where we put Tom Kim?
Randy, the end of the wall. Not a lot of letters in that matchup, saying burns.
Or we got one heavy left. Do we, do we deploy Hadecki here? I think we got to put
that he a little later. I feel like, but otherwise we're, you know, if they break
and tame, I guess it won't matter because they only need four and a half, but, you know,
we got to have, I feel like someone's got to be guarding the kitchen.
Do we go with, do we answer with our microwave, man? Sebastian Munoz.
I will go Sebastian Munoz.
Oh, I like that.
Munoz has played freaking awesome.
That's a great call.
Sebastian.
And then do we try to hide somebody here, Deach or no, you know who I like in this next spot who's going to find it, how to day off, Cory Connors.
Sure. Can we throw Billy Ho against Corey Conner?
So you okay with that?
Um, let's sneak Billy in there.
Let's do that.
That's fine.
That works.
Maybe a pillow fight match, but I was
just okay.
I'm not going to get a lot of,
not going to get a lot of camera time.
That match is going to be one of the ones I think
that gets left off the page.
You've got JT going out early and you got speed late and all those guys. I don't know if you're going to get a lot of, not gonna get a lot of camera time. That match is gonna be one of the ones I think that gets left off the page. You've got JT going out early and you got speed late
and all those guys.
I don't know if you're gonna get a lot of attention
with those two.
Have we put some, let's try to allow that.
Let's just a fist fight or something.
Is anybody riding these down?
Or we just, I'm already here.
I'm already here.
Okay, perfect.
That's what I'm looking for.
I do wanna say the Horseshoe,
the Horseshoe Connors match can play the members' teams.
They both agree to that.
After nine. If they're both over par through nine, we'll move them up into you. I love that idea.
Yeah.
Did we put JT or do we put speed out already? I don't even remember now.
I've kind of, I mean, we have, we haven't put them out yet.
All right, we'll put them out now, I say.
Okay.
Is this where we, is this where we use our guy?
I think this is where we have to use our guy. We'll put a top came.
Okay.
Kind of in the swing spot.
Yeah.
End of the wall.
You guys are going to get crushed in the media for bearing your guy's seventh or whatever this is.
No, he's standing on the first.
He hyping everybody up.
He was sitting there at third.
You had Tom Kim at third.
That was the spot to throw him out.
I'm with solid.
You guys are frauds.
You're having a half in solid.
And then who will then it's kind of, you know, it's liver dye either we're vibing or now we'll go
Taylor pendreth.
All right, we're going to put, we're going to put phenol up against him.
That's who I was going to say, Sully, I was right there with you.
I love the phenol call.
A lot of electricity there could be a blood bath though of big tone.
Also big tone decides to get it.
In case you forgot about the US depth, why don't we throw a call on more cala next?
Right.
Got you as other team. So we can now we can back, now we can load this pretty heavy back. get it in case you forgot about the US depth. Why don't we throw a call on more Kawa next? Yeah, this is where it starts to get a little tough.
What are we third?
Meadow.
Meadow gets him.
I fed the Sensor or big sexy K H. Yeah, we'll throw a K H Lee.
Okay. And then we'll put we'll put bez out after that. or big sexy K H. Yeah, well, throw a K H Lee.
And then we'll put, we'll put bez out after that.
I thought you might want bez in the, in the 12 spot, just in case.
Solid, I listen, I know he's number one in the world,
but this feels like maybe a spot.
Oh, we probably should use Shephler.
That's fun.
I feel like Shephler is this is a spot where he could,
he doesn't seem to have, have totally had it this week,
but I feel like he could still win one or two up and that.
This is such a depressing, depressing exercise.
I'm gonna say, Randy, after watching his experience on AT&T
and Southern Hills, his watching his experience on AT&T
here at Quill Hall, I do not think we want Mito
in that last group.
So I think we gotta put Hideki out probably.
I'm sorry, I think we gotta put Mito out, Mito out and then Hideki will be last,. So I think we got to put Hideki out, probably. Sorry, sorry.
I think we got to put Mito out, Mito out,
then Hideki will be last.
What do you think?
No, no, I think we deployed Hideki already.
I think we're left with Mez and Mito.
I think this is officially with the time we move on.
Because so, matches are rolling in here.
We have, in the first match, we have Seawoo Kim
versus Justin Thomas. Okay.
Match, match two, Cam Davis versus Jordan's speed. So we're pretty close on our picture.
Sure. Match three, Hadecki versus Sam Burns. Match four, Adam Scott Patrick Cantley.
I think we had that one, didn't we?
Match five Sebastian Munoz, Scotty Sheffler. Love it. Oh God, go get it, Munoz, go get it.
Match six. It feels like an international win. Taylor Pendrith,
first Tony Fino. I think we had that one as well. Yeah, that one too.
Had that one. So hard. That's all that's out so far. But I don't know. I feel like that, I mean, the internet,
that first part is gonna seem okay for the international's
and then on that back half is where it's gonna get.
I'm a little bomb Max's now to early.
I gotta be honest.
If the L3 would have been watching the show,
I feel like he would have maybe leaned on us
a little bit, put Max out there early.
If we're in the nest here,
well, there's no bigger Max home of fans
in this collection of individuals.
I don't think on the planet.
But Max did not play great great overall the first couple days. He finished
incredible on Friday afternoon and played very well today by all accounts. Granted, I did
not get to see a lot of his golf shots that were actually played in those matches, of course.
But it's not like I think Max's record, like Sam Burns has played better than Max overall.
And Sam Burns doesn't even have a full point yet in Max's three and L.
That's just the vagaries of match play is leading
to a little bit of that, if you will.
But I agree with you.
I would have put him out earlier.
And you'll notice that our fearless captain
did not put Tom Kim out.
We were reading from the same playbook.
Yeah, and I was gonna say,
Max might find himself in a clenched position,
a possible clenched position, a possible clinch position,
which would be fun for him.
How do you do bullet-tune board material from a podcast?
Like if you're Max tonight, like, how do you take that
solid quote and do you just write it down,
like on the hotel paper?
No, I think it's notes, no tap.
No tap, okay, voice memo, no you got it.
That was a huge day.
Yeah, the guy that made eight birdies today,
he's played better than you so far to this point.
That's, that was just dunking all over Max. That was, that personally. Offense the guy that made eight birdies today, he's played better than you so far to this point. That was just dunking all over Max.
That was, that personally,
offense was definitely definitely meant with that.
How do you, honestly, I'm coming off a period
of praising the heck out of Trevor Emelman
and getting the international to this point.
How do you not send Tom Kim out first
and try to get the crowd moving in that direction?
Like that, I'm confused there.
I think it's building the hype. I don't have the crowd moving in that direction. Like that, I'm confused there. I think it's building the hype.
I was like, I was a crowd.
And they was gonna say, DJ made the point.
He gets to hang on the first tee.
Yeah, and I think like,
once that bullet is shot, you're not getting it back.
Like, you better freaking hope he, he, you know,
goes out and does some outrageous stuff.
But it's not like that Roars are gonna be echoing around there.
Like if they were, like if they were a home team, I think it's different.
Right?
Like if he goes out and is just making putts early
and they're actually like Roars going out,
that would be great.
But like who, I mean Tom Kim,
I think you wanna see it like JT is still gonna get more cheers
than Tom Kim out there.
Right, but if you go, you need like to flip the momentum,
if he goes and gets three up on JT,
that is gonna reverberate back through,
at least your team room or your players in general,
I would say, but what do I know?
Match seven is, if you go out and loses
the first three holes,
but you're all, it's a waste of the face.
It's like, you know, consider it,
it's like the mental miss, right?
Like you've already missed it, right?
Like you need, you need a total miracle at this point,
but match seven is Cory Conn's versus Zander Shoffley.
I do not like that for Mr. Conner's
from where we're sitting currently.
Yeah, that's not great.
I think, I think, I think,
double C might have some pride in him tomorrow.
Hey, Randy, hold up, I read.
I have something I wanted to throw your way
as the matches are kind of rolling in.
And I would like everybody's thoughts on this,
but I wanted to start with Randy.
Are we close to being done with the bell buckles,
the American flag bell buckles?
It just feels like, it's probably about time.
International's belts today, excellent, sharp,
match the pants, the American flag bell buckles,
just kind of scream 12, 15 years ago.
I just feel like it's time.
I agree with that. I, it's not something I thought about until just now, but I will
stand beside you, Shane. Thank you. I would sign your petition. Let me know where to sign.
They made a lot of sense when Ricky Fowler was on these teams. So I point, it's my point.
Speaking of which,
10 years ago, speaking of which, uh, you know, I know the caddies are not not really a storyline.
Happy for our guide, Joe Schoenren. Yes. to go speaking to which, you know, I know the caddies are not not really a storyline.
Happy for our guy, Joe Scalvin.
Yes.
Out there with Tom Kim looks like he's having an absolute blast.
I think it could have gone one way or the other where he's like true like first week of
the job, go get my ball out of the hole, pick up my putter.
Like I could have seen that, you know, I can't speak for those holes.
Maybe he wasn't digging that quite so much, but I got to think relatively speaking.
I mean, I know he's still been on a great bag
for a very long time.
The last couple of years with Ricky had to be very tough,
both as like those guys have been friends since college,
since high school, even like growing up,
like and Ricky's been struggling trying to get it back.
That's a weird relationship for like a player,
Cadi, especially if you're friends.
And it's just good to see it kind
of a clean break and him getting on with what looks like a star
in the making. I was I was pumped for him to see that. Shane,
Shane, you've done some Cadi-ing in your day.
I don't know if we're talking about a resort guest.
And Shane, they could go get that.
Talk to me about what initially goes through your mind when the player points and says,
go get that ball out of the hole.
I got to be honest.
I've I've caddyed a few times on the LPGA, a fair bit.
Resort golf is DJ pointed out, not sure I've run into that issue before.
I would happily go get it though, I guess.
I mean, I guess that's kind of the job, right?
Unfortunately, yeah, I mean, is it's kind of the job right unfortunately. Sure.
Yeah.
I mean is it for is it for birdie is it for par or are we putting for triple right I mean
I think there's a big difference on go get that.
Glad they won the match because if you're going to have me go get balls out of the hole I
will do it but I asked that you actually win the match.
It's fair point.
Common here from Woe Nicky saying DJ ambush, ThGun marketing, listen, I got a surprise for you,
this is an ambush marketing, this is real marketing
right here.
TheraGun, if you don't know, is the handheld
percussive therapy device that releases your deepest
muscle tension using a scientifically calibrated combo
of depth, speed, and power, and it's as quiet
as an electric toothbrush if you can probably barely hear it right now.
I'm working it on the quads right now.
I keep one of these in my car on the way to the golf course.
I use it pretty much every time to loosen up the legs, loosen up the hip flexors.
You name it as we're getting older.
It's just gets a little harder to get those muscles loosened up.
Does not get better.
Year every year, Shane, you can testify to this.
And I use this their gun pretty much every single day. Get your muscles loose before you go year, Shane, you can testify to this. And I use this TheraGun pretty much every single day,
get your muscles loose before you go to work out,
before you go do something athletic.
I cannot say enough great things about it.
I use it anywhere you want.
You got sore shoulders, sore back.
You know, I'll give it to Hannah, she'll go,
you can use it on the lower back or the upper back.
It's fantastic, fantastic tool.
And you can try TheraGun for 30 days,
starting at only $199 if you go to Therabadi.com slash
no-lang up right now, get your Theragun today.
That's Therabadi.com slash no-lang up.
You can get it again.
You can basically try it for free for 30 days.
You pay $199, but you have a return policy up to 30 days, if you will.
I think I read that properly.
Shout out to Theragun.
These things are freaking awesome. This is the mini right here. It's extremely small, I think I read that properly. So shout out to their gun, these things are freaking awesome.
This is the mini right here.
It's extremely small, I can fit pretty much anywhere.
I got the high octane, high horsepower one.
I was gonna say there.
I do too, and it's taking me a long time to realize that
like the better you treat your body,
the better you're gonna feel.
I, you know, it honestly, it's your lesson.
What's your source on that?
Oh, I don't have MLA.
Like to see the research on that.
Yeah, I don't have an MLA citation for you, but it's just amazing.
So Theragon has been, I've had the big boy gun back there for a couple of years and
it really, really is nice.
So I'm glad you have it too after that workout video you posted yesterday.
I'm glad you have the gun there to kind of loosen everything.
Oh, it's tough scene. That might be why things were not feeling great, because I'm just you have it to after that workout video you posted yesterday. I'm glad you have the guy there to kind of loosen everything I was tough seen that might be why things were not feeling great because I'm just not athletic
Yeah, you're just your four. Yeah, I don't know really bad really really bad. Um, hey, hey, Sali can I plug something?
Do you care?
I'll take two seconds. Sure. It's not it's not there a guy. I got a children's book coming out. It's called the golfer zoo
It's for children. It's a golf book and you'll have fun with it.
It's gonna be available soon.
Check my social for it.
But I've got a children's book coming out in the next week.
Buy it for your friends or whatever.
That's my plug.
Thank you, Jay.
That is Ambush Merrick.
That's great.
That's great.
Sorry.
Well done.
I felt like I needed to squeeze it in.
Listen, I wrote a children's book.
It's a very interesting process to do it.
And so if I can squeeze it in,
Thera Guns great, Yeti's great.
I'll give all you guys plug that.
Well, what was the hardest part about writing a children's book?
I've always thought about that.
The hardest part for me was making sure I get in enough jokes
that the parents get a chuckle out of it
because having two children now, you read the good children's books and the
children's shows and the bad ones that don't ever kind of appeal to the
parents and the audience that is like basically forced to watch and read the
things. So I try to have a few adult jokes in there that you can at least laugh
out that the kids will never understand. And what age group are we targeting
with this book? Really, I mean all ages, Randy. mean, I think you'd enjoy it. If you read it
I think it's right up your alley would look good kind of behind you on your professional set. Yeah
No, I didn't read a book read a three to six three to seven. Okay. It's a good age. All right. That's probably who I'm looking at
Okay, all right. Okay. Now that listen. That's enough. That's all I just wanted to say it. I appreciate you guys allowing us
We'll send you the bill. That's great match eight eight. Thank you. SungJM versus Cameron Young.
Totally forgot Cameron Young is on your team. That's tough too.
I don't think we even put him out.
So he was going to be 11 or 12 for us. I think KH Lee versus Billy Horshaw in match nine.
I like that. That's got some that's for one for the psychos. Max.
Versus say it. Young Tom. I like that. That's got some that's for one for the psychos max. Homba versus.
Say it young Tom.
Young Cody young Tom Kim.
I don't know who wanted who there.
If it was a chess match of waiting till one of them got got put up, but the battle for most like ability for each side, Max Homba versus Tom Kim and match number 10.
I don't even know who's left yet. We got, they're still they're still working out. That is so awesome.
We never really get those, right? The dream ones that we all think about and golf fans
hope to see. I feel like if we'd all really truly posted, which one we would like to see,
that would have been number one on everybody
in this group's list, I would imagine.
Yeah, that's gonna be.
Yeah.
How many holes is that match gonna get to before it ends?
Finally, that's my only complaint.
No freaking idea.
Maybe not, we'll see.
What does it match nine, you said?
I think it's match 10.
Match 10, okay.
All right. Oh
That's gonna be a lecture come the first tea shame. We got another guest he'd come in in here Okay, actually the next couple minutes, but anything else from today that that
Professional golf commentary. Let me see that I had a, I want to compliment Sully on his kiss and her take.
I think it's, I told it's actually this Sully.
I think it's the smartest thing I've heard all week long by anybody in terms of analysis
around the president's cup.
Justin Leonard saying Justin and Jordan are always three up.
It seems I felt like that was totally spot on.
Every time the leaderboard pops up, they always feel like they're three up in their match. And I wish there wasn't the rough left on 14, the par three.
I wish it was just shape completely down.
So those balls went in the water.
If you hit it left, I would like for the ball
to go in the water.
I hate that they just stop right there like Velcro.
Shane, I'm gonna deny that first point.
It was not a good point for me on the Kizner link thing.
It's the most obvious point possible.
It's out there, right?
I've been just saying it for years.
I like the way you explained it. It's simple thinking. It's out there, right? I've been just saying it for years. I like the way you explained it.
It's not the way you explained it.
It's simple thinking.
It's really spot on.
It's simple thinking.
It's part of the traps that the US team has fallen
in too many times over the years.
And to that point, you just said, what a luxury
that we've been on for like 35 minutes,
and we haven't mentioned JT and Speed for 4.0.
That's the luxury of American golf at this point.
It's just kind of a foregone thing
that they're going to go out and do that
and not even be worthy of mentioning on Saturday night, but
But yeah, that's pretty outrageous, but all right, we're gonna let you go. Thank you so much for joining
Thank you
Randall match 11 coach got our telegram Mito going out against Colin Moore Cowell love it
Yeah, I don't I don't love the match up, but I love thatito, going out against Colin Moore Cowell. Love it.
Yeah.
I don't love the match up, but I love that he's going out of
11.
How big is that?
Does that leave bez in the 12 hole against Kisner?
How many people are going to be following that match tomorrow?
Yeah, that might be, it's dinkers and donkers out there.
That might, honestly, that might mean a lot to a lot of people
laying money.
It's true.
Honestly, like, quick reaction to seeing this slate, like, I feel like I like that draw
off of the international's.
I feel like it's...
We went through them quick.
Let's go.
JT versus Seewoo.
Jordan's speed versus Cam Davis.
Hold on.
Let's think around them a little bit.
What do we think it?
So JT, JT, CW is,
I mean, CW looked awful down the last couple of holds.
At times and also seemingly camp hot, which is tough.
I know.
That's a big ask for the international.
That's tough.
I don't feel good about that.
Cam Davis versus Jordan Speed.
I don't know which Jordan we're gonna get,
but that's interesting.
Cam Davis seems to have the juice.
Jordan Speed's been freaking awesome.
He's carried like, JT's been totally, he's been good,
but Jordan Speed's been awesome.
So far to this point.
Why don't we, as we go through them one by one?
That's a fun matchup.
It is, but why don't we go through them one by one?
We got our next guest is here.
I don't know if his camera's turned on yet,
but somebody that may know these guys a little bit better
than we do that might be able to help share the breakdowns
for each match.
Join us.
I think it was PJ Championship.
He was all with us.
Mr. Smiley Kaufman Smiley, can you hear us?
I can hear you, but I can't see y'all.
But I'm trying to figure that out at the current moment.
We'll, you know, emote with our voices.
So we'll paint you a picture with our, with our, our verbals here.
Please, please do.
How are you?
What's going on?
Thanks for joining.
You're the man our pairings out yet.
They are.
Sorry, I had to go through them.
Yes, let's, uh, let's run through.
All right, we're starting at the top.
C. Wu Kim versus Justin Thomas.
What do you, what do you like?
What do you not like?
I like Justin Thomas.
Really? That's what, Justin Thomas really that's what
smiley that's why we bring you on we're not getting that anywhere else I like Justin Thomas I know
that's gonna be shocking well you're gonna hate this next group then I think cam Davis versus
Jordan's beef boy that's gonna be a Really good. Man, I've been so impressed
with Cam Davis. He's got such a good golf swing. And I tell you, he just seemed like he's
a kind of a rising, rising star to me. Just really impressed with him. He's a bigger
kid and he's super humble, but I think he's got a lot of tools and he, dude, he bombs it.
I didn't realize how far he hits it.
We should have asked,
so set the table for the people.
What are you doing out there?
What's your, what's your week been like?
Yeah, I've been working for City this week,
doing about an hour promo videos,
kind of setting up different parts of the president's cuff,
part of the experience.
The first day I did the first T kind of went around
and showed what that looked like. That stadium deal the next day on 14. So yesterday we got there
with JT and almost all that home and wanted. So that was cool. Today Seth Curry and I, not
Steph Curry, Seth Curry and I, walked up her hole. We kind of basically just chatted and I'm sure
that video will come out soon and then tomorrow will be on the range. Seth and I will kind of basically just chatted and I'm sure that video will come out soon and then tomorrow
We'll be on the range Seth and I will kind of go back and forth similar deal, but it's been a good week
So but it's been a lot of fun golf to watch
It's Seth as good a golfer as Steph
He is not he says he shoots somewhere between 75 to 82
He's a six-hadi cap, but he is a very avid player from what I understand.
So help us here. We're kind of reacting here.
We're going to pause away from the matches for a little bit on what this
international team did this afternoon and the quality of play and to come
back from, you know, basically, you've been out there.
What's the vibe been like? Has it felt like as much of a blowout?
Has it felt like on TV? And, you know, is, you've been out there. What's the vibe been like?
Has it felt like as much of a blowout?
Has it felt like on TV?
And, you know, is it a real momentum shift going into tomorrow?
Is this kind of just laying the inevitable?
You know, I think it was a huge one.
I mean, the TV, just watching on TV, it really felt that way.
But being on the grounds, it just, the buzz wasn't quite there this afternoon with the groups.
I'm not sure if that's just a tired crowd from 36 holes or if it was just maybe the international
team which is playing a little well down the stretch, but props to Trevor Oman and just
keeping him patient. They just weren't making a ton of pots and the only thing I can kind
of relate to that is they have such a young team and for me the first couple of times I got Monday
qualified into a PJ tour event or first couple of starts you know on tour it's
the hardest thing for me is you want to make putt so bad and to me it felt like
it was just a matter of time before the internatials started to make pots.
And I felt like that was kind of holding them back
those first three sessions.
And they finally started making some pots.
And I don't think Patrick Cantley's very happy right now
with Tom Kim after playing with him
the last couple of afterno after news and just getting yelled at
continuously
Kaley is the exact guy that he
That's the best he's the exact guy that would be very humorous about that
Well, the rest of the world is celebrating it. It also like I Joel Damon was asked the question on Twitter
Two he said, you know, what do you think their reaction is to what Tom Kim's doing?
I was like dude play better like better. Like he beats you.
Like, let him have a little fun with it.
I got no problem with it.
Like, is that something a player would be pissed off about?
A player being a opposing player being that demonstrative, smiley?
Not in that situation, but I can highlight maybe why it was annoying at like just the entire time.
So Tom Kim was five down with five to play on 14 and Tom
Kim made like a six footer for a birdie and just yelled so loud. And I sat there
and watched Tom Kim. I came over here, he was playing with yesterday after
day. They were just, he was so pumped and jacked walking off the green to go
four down with four to play and Kale and and X were just, he was so pumped and jacked, walking off the green to go four down with four to play.
And Kale and X were just sitting there
just laughing at each other, just like,
did he really just yell like I mean,
it was 10 out of 10 yell.
And I was so there for it, it was incredible.
Joe DeLuey in the chat says,
Tom Kim is golf but louder.
That's pretty damn perfect.
That's very true.
All right, getting back to the matches
and, you know, does this mean anything?
Probably not, but worth mentioning it every turn.
Speed does also never won a singles match
in one of these team competitions, which is the best.
So no easy one against Cam Davis tomorrow.
That'll be exciting.
Match three, Hideki versus Sam Burns. That's kind of a lightning fest there.
That's going to be fun.
I, uh, I've been so impressed with Sam Burns.
For him to, what is he only have like a half a point?
He's criminal.
If this was like a stroke play event, he would be like in the lead.
I feel like if Doc was, he's played so well.
And before you hit that shot on 18,
I said to myself, I really think he might make this.
And it almost flew in the hole.
Oh, it's a bummer that he didn't have a chance there
to make a pot.
I thought the pairings were a little weird this afternoon.
Thank you.
I just been kind of like,
I thought Kizner would be an alternate shot player and then
I didn't think he would be in the best fall.
Same with Billy, I thought.
Yeah, same with Billy.
I honestly thought I'd see Billy and Sam in the alternate shot format.
So that was a little surprising to me. And you don't, nobody's had a chance to criticize any
of the decisions up to this point for the American side, but now that it's a four-point margin,
I guess, you can kind of be like, well, did we have the right guys out there this afternoon?
I personally would have loved to see him candy-ong and I just don't see how you sit him and in that format.
Even I don't care how tired he is. He's the best.
Like he can just make so many birdies, right? I just don't see how you sit him.
I think it was I've been making this point throughout the week and you sat a guy like Tony Finau with with Kisner. It was an average of 30.2 yards of gap between
the two, an average. So add all that up over the course of however many holes, like that's
how much closer Finault gets to the hole in off the tee. And so what really matters is how
close do you get to the hole in regulation, right? Well, Kisner got inside Finault three on
three holes out of the 15 that they played. And Kisner got inside, who was his partner yesterday?
He got inside six out of 18 holes.
So in nine of the 36 holes that Kisner,
25% of the time, Kisner's getting the ball closer
to the hole than his partner.
Like that is, that's just an anchor for your partner.
And on a golf course, where at what I've been,
you know what the point has just been,
like on a golf course that's set up for the ball to go really far
and to emphasize ball striking,
how different is that versus something like the golf
national when it comes to golfers at that level,
which you know, you know, how are we seeing it play out
like that because of the distance factor?
Well, you still gotta hit fairways
and that's from when I saw out there,
it, the roughs not like crazy, like Bermuda roughuda rough like I've seen like I don't think balls are really
getting to the bottom a ton there are places that it is but like to your point
LaNash now is that how you pronounce it that was an obvious place if you don't
hit fairways it's like it's a total disadvantage I still think you can get it on
the green out there at Quill Hollow,
but the firmness of the greens being
bermuda kind of combination makes it play fast.
But Matt, to your point with Kiz,
yeah, I just thought you could have found a way
to get him in the alternate shot for some format.
Like, I just don't see how Tony Finau and
Sam Burns or the combination of Cameron Young and Sam Burns would have lost today.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Agree.
Agree.
All right, we'll move through some of these other ones a little quicker.
Match number four, Adam Scott versus Cantlay.
Love that.
Mm-hmm.
Not gonna be a lot of smiling going on there, I don't think.
What was match three again?
You said it was Hideki and Sam. said it was Hadecki and Sam.
Hadecki and Sam, okay.
Which Hadecki, I mean, you know, shocking, seemed to be striking the show the ball today,
but just gonna be a matter of whether he'll make any puts.
That's getting, it's getting very hard to watch, man.
I thought, I kind of thought we were over over some of that, but that was,
it was unsettling today.
I think, I think maybe 10, maybe 12 more years
that he may try a mallet or something,
or maybe like the saw or something like that, I don't know.
But I think we're-
Can we talk about CW Kim and the big putter?
The broomstick.
Or yeah, the broomstick?
Maybe they should trade tomorrow.
Maybe those should just trade putters.
It looks so natural.
Can you imagine a Hedeckey showing up with that thing tomorrow
with that squatty putter stroke?
He's got just the squat with it. I mean, I just don't see how he misses.
It would be anchored to his throat if he does that, I think.
All right, where do we leave off? Match five, Scotty Sheffler and Sebastian Munoz. I actually really,
that's interesting. Scotty has looked exhausted.
That's a good match.
I've always said that Sebastian in this format.
I thought he was going to be one of their MVP's.
He can make so many birdies.
Like we see it like on a random PGA tour that Sebastian Minos will be shot 28 on the front.
He's like, what was this?
And he does it.
Like it will do it every other month
We'll just like go just bonkers
So you just got to watch out for that with your Scotty tomorrow
I feel like Scotty and play terrible, but like just hasn't quite maybe got over the hump in this
This president's cup, but that'll be a good match kind of Dallas boys going against each other the shank the shank was just
Tough one to.
Oh man, how good was that?
It's a tough one to recover from from the general public.
Like the message after that, like, oh, he's weighing down the entire team now.
I was like, I mean, it was one bad shot.
Like, come on, there's plenty of them.
But yeah, he's not been the Scotty that we know, but that was a tossing.
Oh, there it is.
There it is.
The audio was amazing though. It sounded almost so flush that you're like, wow, that was, know, but that was a tossie. There it is. There it is. The audio was amazing though.
It sounded almost so flush that you were like,
wow, that was perfectly shanked.
Like, for me, all of how like striped it sound
to be a shank.
All right, moving on, match six.
Taylor Pendrith and Tony Fino.
Don't really know what's gonna happen there.
That's kind of interesting. Pendrith, I feel like it's had a little bit of form, but it looked kind of shitty today.
I kind of like I've seen I think Fienau is going to I think that'll be one that's potentially
finished in on 14. I thought Pendrith has been kind of inconsistent this week. I know we can
absolutely hammer the golf ball, but Tony's I think his iron game will show off tomorrow.
I also just want to say for all the jokes we've had about Tony, my associate Randy and I,
never been a more heartwarming moment. I don't think that seeing him and Max together, just two happy
people just absolutely love it life. I was smiling the entire time. That was like, that was such a thrill.
I was just guys just cheese each other up.
It was great.
I mean, Max just looked like a kid in the candy shop
right there.
Get whatever you want, Max.
This is your day, bud.
This is your day.
Smiley question for you, because this is where I think a lot
people would have expected to see tom kim
are will get to him he's in match ten but does that surprise you
if that we haven't seen him yet in uh... in the draw uh...
it's kind of weird right you would have thought i would have thought
tom kim was going to be a match one to be honest uh... i really thought he was
going to be one of the first two
i don't know if they're using stats or...
Do they just throw the lineup out and then you're paired up against who you...
Or is it back and forth?
It's back and forth.
It is back and forth, okay.
Yeah, it's surprising.
It's very surprising.
Yeah, I just think that there's a...
For all the stats, listen, you're not going to find anyone that loves the stats more than
I do, but there's a certain emotional all the stats, listen, you're not gonna find anyone that loves the stats more than I do,
but like there's a certain emotional factor
to the singles as well that I feel like your chest bump
but your chest thumping guy has gotta be one
of your first ones out, especially when you need
to make a huge comeback.
Yeah, you gotta ride your hot hands, right?
That's, I feel like in this format,
it's the guys that are the most confident
that have had the big moments, especially when you're down four, you gotta get some black and yellow on that
on that board.
By the way, I love the shield logo.
I think it looks so good.
It does.
Yeah, it does.
And like, it's not to say that Tom Kim has been incredibly demonstrative and that's been
really, really fun.
He's also been freaking incredible.
He won both of his matches today.
He's made three Eagles today.
Did I hear that right?
I think I'm only counting two,
but he and KH Lee went out and beat Scotty Sheffler
and Sam Burns this morning.
And then he comes out in four ball this afternoon.
And on his own ball, he birdies five, seven Eagles 11,
birdies 12, and birdies 18 from 235 to win it.
Like it's not just been antagonizing, like he has the play to match it.
Cody, thank you for putting that comment up. I was just going to do it myself, but Joe
DeLueg, absolutely. I have to have to wonder if real labor issues are affecting tops
preferred departure time. We'll talk about that on the trap drop perhaps next week.
Joe, Joe, that's, that's,
that's why that's too good for this show. My only counter and kind of riding for, for Trevor
is I know he's 20 years old, but he's also been running at 2000 miles an hour for, for
three straight days here. He might be, he might like, you don't, again, you don't want
to put him out first and just haven't get his ass beat by JT either. And it could be a bit of a letdown for Tom Kim tomorrow. I hope
not. And I know it's very like you're not going to win probably unless he is doing that
same thing, but that's maybe a consideration. He's been doing a lot.
Yeah. Matt, he gets to hang out on the tee. He gets to, you know, be the biggest cheerleader
they have for the folks on Matt. Stroke sign, Matt.
Stroke's gained cheerleaders, what Randy's going for on the first tee.
Yeah, I mean, but I mean, they're not getting a lot of cheers from other places.
So that they got to create their own excitement.
I think, you know, I just think I would have put them either where Penderith or Conners is.
If we want to keep going, I think that's the next match up.
Yeah.
So match seven Corey Conners versus Zander.
That is, man, that's tough for the international's
just based on how Corey's been playing,
but a bit of a day off today, hopefully he flips it on
and shows a little more form.
What's been the issue with Corey Conners this week?
I've heard multiple people say it's not in form.
Is it just kind of everything's off or what's the deal?
It's, yeah, I mean, it's a few good shots and he does not make the putt to pay it off.
He just has not ball striking has really not been there.
One, yeah, and he just gives himself so few opportunities and hasn't been able to take advantage of him.
But it's just he's a ball striking machine and not a very good putter overall.
And it's, yeah, when the ball striking goes,
he just has not had anything to offer the team this week,
unfortunately, which...
Yeah, I noticed that.
It was, I think they played Jordan or Cory played had a couple
pots.
Like it was the day when JT made that like 20 footer on 15 up
the hill.
Cory had like a seven footer on 14.
If he makes that, they go one up.
And then on 15, JT makes that putt.
It was just like, I've seen multiple times
of moments like that where the international just got like,
I don't know if it was out experienced or just,
you know, the moment was too big,
earlier in the week, but that's,
you know, I just kept on seeing situations like that
where that's where I was like, man, this is gonna be a route, you know, but that's you know, I just kept on seeing situations like that where that's where I was like man
It's gonna be a route, you know like they haven't done they put themselves there and then they just never could could quite get over the hub
Yeah
Match number eight good one sun J. M versus came young. That's gonna be exciting excited to see that one a lot of birdies
Yeah, what's the look awesome on that one. A lot of birdies. Yeah. What's the J looked awesome on that one,
you think? Say that again. What's the, what's the Vegas line on that, you think? I can pull these up.
If I may say I've been just a tad disappointed and came young, he is, the putters been pretty,
been pretty disappointing. He has had a lot of puts both in, you know, mostly in foursums from,
from really good iron plate from his partners and he's got saddle with it with the spot of you
know, if you're going to be the guy teen off the odd holes, you're going to have to make a lot of putts like you're going to be the one, you know, you know, you know,
you know, playing from somebody else's approach shots and hitting a lot of the putts. That's just the way it works with the regulation holes in that
in that way and he just hasn't hasn't made the putts man. He was not as I'm really taken to the next level, which I think a lot of people were potentially looking forward to that this week.
But,
I don't disagree with that,
but I mean,
it's,
he reminds me of like a young Dustin Johnson,
just in his demeanor.
He hits it so hard,
and it just seems so effortless and,
and carefree.
Like, I know there will never be
another person like Dustin Johnson,
and the way he plays golf,
and talks about golf.
But Cammy on kind of resembles a little bit of that. Dustin Johnson just don't really care.
I just hit bombs right down the middle of the fairway and don't say a whole lot.
And that's, I don't know if that comparison is there with you all, but it's kind of like
the only person I've ever felt like is Simmer and the way they kind of go about the game.
There is no lack of, there's no unsuridness at all.
I don't know if that's a word or not and came young,
but the bigger the moment, it just seems like the harder
he ends up swinging.
Like the more it's just like, okay, I'm gonna fucking send this.
Like, all you think I'm nervous, watch this.
T-degree and it's still fantastic to watch.
Sung J is minus 120 and came young as
plus 100 of course courtesy of the draft. I was curious if Sung J was going to be favorite.
Yeah. Sung J's played pretty darn well. I mean, he's been saddled, been weighed down by
Cory Conner's anchor in the ForSums. And when he's been playing his own ball, I feel
like he's a he's a threat every time he's gotten iron in his hand. Yeah, for sure. And
I had issues with the way Trevor, a moment moment put out his lineup for the first couple days.
Me and you smiley. Me and you. I was so confused why they like split up
Camer Davis and Seewoo and they'd like sent back out Adam and Hadecki who like played horribly in that that first session.
But like why not send out the guys that just got you the only point again out in the afternoon.
So there's just been some, I've been a little bit confused by the pairings at times,
especially more with the international side, but definitely with a little bit of the
Kizner Cam Young, Billy, I just was kind of lost in that, but to be pretty easy with this single,
they just got to go on and get their points. But yeah.
Randy's in so much agreement with you.
He switched to the ghost avatar as well as his video has cut out.
Oh man, that's how he's fist puffed in the air.
He lost the second night in a row.
This is what happens with Randy.
Kind of deep in that seventh inning.
His stuff is not there anymore.
I can't go three times through the order.
Yeah, exactly.
Everybody knows his tricks.
All right, next match.
We left off on nine, I think, KH Lee and Billy Horshull.
Don't really know what to expect on that one.
Billy's been very much kind of bleh.
If I could take the over under in this match
as far as the amount of holes played,
I would take the over 17.
I just don't see how this match is not going to the 18th hole.
Yeah, it doesn't seem like a blowout. Maybe not the best golf in the world, but it's not, you know, I don't see how this matches not going to the 18 hole. Yeah, it doesn't
doesn't seem like a blowout. Maybe not the best golf in the world, but it's not, you know,
I don't think anyone's going anywhere. It's going to 18. Billy Ho is minus 135 K H Lee
plus 115. That feels, yeah, I might, I might ride with my guy K H on that one. Billy,
I think it's going to run the risk of getting saddled in the same, you know, sentence with
Kisner and Billy played.
He had some moments.
He had some moments of hitting some really good irons.
And to your point, Smiley, I think like if you'd have paired him with a bomber where he
was hitting a lot of approach shots, and that could have made a lot more sense than him
playing his own ball for two sessions, same with Kisner.
Right.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I mean, that's nothing against these guys. And just I thought, we could have used a Kevin Kizner way more effectively than we have
thus far.
My only counter to that was that their mindset seemed to have been, hey, four sums, like
we're going to go and smash the shit out of them.
Like we're going to go, we're going to send all the best players and four sums and they
can't match us.
And we're going to get all our points there to make it mathematically impossible that they can't really beat us.
That's the only defense I'll give of not putting those guys out in for.
And it worked.
Yeah, it's part that part worked.
Match number 10, I would tell the featured groups, the number one match.
Tom Kim versus Max Homa.
Smiley.
What are you about to? Oh, man, this is all, this is all new to me.
They're here in the matches.
This is amazing.
Uh, Gully, uh, what's the odds for solely?
That's minus.
I'm very curious.
Max is minus 135 Tom Kim plus 115.
Wow.
It's a lot of respect for Max.
I'm riding with Max there.
Uh, I love Tom Kim, but I think I don't know which one of you plus one 15. Wow. It's a lot of respect for Max. I'm riding with Max there.
I love Tom Kim, but I think, I don't know, which one of y'all mentioned Tom Kim's energy
level, but I do think Max home was just going to wear him down.
Yeah, that's, we've seen this before.
We're dudes that run around and with their, like, with their heads cut off for a while
by the time it gets to Sunday.
Can I counter that?
He's 20.
He's 20.
You shouldn't be tired.
Oh, he just saw Carlos Alcras.
It's not a physical tire to the US open.
Like a mental exhaustion.
It's a mental exhaustion.
Ah, you're 20.
You can sleep after it's done.
You can even thought about all the extra, you know, effort he's had to put
extra pairs of pants on and all the changing that goes into that, like all the stress
that comes with that.
But that's true.
But he doesn't know any better.
That's going to be so fun tomorrow.
So one of the commenters kept saying he was cool blowing out pants.
It's a phrase that just really always gets me.
That's really good stuff.
Match 11, Mito versus Colin Moore, Cala, who I keep forgetting is on the team.
Quietly two time major, Xavier just kind of, oh yeah, by the way, if you need him, he's there too. It's good as he was on day one and he sat yesterday.
He was not good this morning.
He and he and Cameron were did not make for a very good pairing this morning.
So total, total armchair and hindsight of saying like, well, he sat him and he lost the hot streak and he played horrible this morning.
You should have wrote him on Friday, but that's, that's definitely using hindsight
to say that. But uh, uh, just worth noting that Morco was, was not, not good
this morning. And Mito didn't play at all today. He did not need their
or Bizzadon Hode. The last two guys played it all. Who knows what we're going to get
there. And then last match, yeah, Bizzadin Hope versus Kevin Kizner,
which is,
see a super fun match if it all came down to those two guys.
It would be very interesting.
Yeah, it would be very interesting.
Yeah, I don't really know what I'm thinking there.
If it feels like Kizner lives for the 1v1 match play though,
I feel like that's, I don't think that match won't matter for anything, but hypothetically
if it did, that's a very tall ask for a Bizzaden who.
Yeah, I was a little surprised that I haven't seen Kis hold a ton of plots this week that
I'm accustomed to seeing, or just those kind of big moments that we can see with kids,
get that platter hot. So maybe we'll see it tomorrow, but kind of back to that match before.
I feel like we were robbed a little bit with Mito Pereira. I feel like that Joaquim Neiman Mito
Pereira pairing is exactly what we should have seen. That would have been an incredible pairing.
Between those two guys, obviously we didn't get it, but I'd love Mito's game.
And who's he pointing at?
He's playing Morcal.
Morcal.
Morcal, yeah.
For Gideys on the team.
That was actually a great line.
Because you just haven't heard a whole lot about him this week.
Yeah, he didn't look great earlier.
I kind of fancy Mito potentially to steal one there,
but that last match, I mean,
Kiz is your, all those guys on that team
got a lot of faith in Kiz and I wouldn't be surprised
to see him get that job done late.
All right, we'll get you out of here on this final score.
So it's 11 to 7 now.
What do you think the final score is tomorrow night?
Well, I told Colt, I said, hey, what do you think, he asked what do you think the final score is tomorrow night? Well, I told Colt.
I said, Hey, what do you think he asked?
What do you think it's going to be going into singles?
And this is before we got going.
I said, I think it's going to be a four point lead.
And we that's not what we asked.
That's not what we asked.
I was I'm going to hide you.
I myself, but after hearing those matches, I think, uh, I think maybe the
international's can maybe get four points tomorrow. Uh, but I think it's going to be a, I think it's going to be all all read on the board tomorrow.
Well, we know your Tigers are on TV as we speak, so we greatly appreciate it even more than we normally do if you pop it on and shoot the shit with us greatly appreciate Smiley. Well, the, I know my zoom thanked and work where you couldn't see my face,
but maybe I was just accidentally watching the other so you game next to me.
It's called multitasking.
Who is it? Who's in that match again?
I miss that one.
First down.
Good stand Tigers.
Oh, guys, I appreciate you all having me on and happy to hop on anytime anytime. Thanks, buddy. Thanks. First down
All right, let's play cash app game for those that don't know of course hopefully you've got a cash a cash tag already ready to go We know many of you do our drop in comments and on the regular

I use it every single day.
You can download it from the App Store or Google Play
and if you use code.
And I'll you, you get a free $15 plus they donate $10
to youth on course.
Dej, what are your three words to summarize the day?
I always go first, Randy, you go first.
I think I went first yesterday, but my three words
are a puncher's chance.
I think it's probably all that the international team,
certainly coach and woman could have asked for.
Thursday morning, just give me a puncher's chance, come singles,
and they have put themselves
in that position.
That's really good.
I'm going to use, I'll give you a little more time.
I'm going to use Trust the Process.
I think both on this show, I think especially, Trevor Emelman's process has been called
into question with some of his picks where to be fair, you're not breaking those guys
out because we didn't have anything else to do.
That's very true. It's very true.
But he stuck to the plan.
He has emphasized that many times when interviews
is stick to the plan, stick to the plan.
And again, in case you have lost track of this,
which I don't know how you could,
this is a beleaguered international team.
Like losing four dudes that definitely definitely should
have been on this team and playing most of the matches to scrape out to be within four of what I
would consider to be a juggernaut US team is incredible.
I guess incredible golf.
I'm not, I was not being funny when I thought that I thought, when I thought they might lose
23 to seven because like the talent gap is that big.
They're getting.
And it's still in play.
If it is technically in play.
And I felt pretty good at eight to two
that it was very much in play as well,
even going to the afternoon session,
which, but it's a testament to trusting of the process
and those dudes having some self belief
and being put into position to succeed
because they're outperforming their median talent level,
if you will, in production level
and doing it on the road against
an extremely deep US team.
And I have tremendous, tremendous respect to that.
And thanks for that because it's giving us a lot more interesting television to watch.
I'll go with maybe the most cliche one that there is, but I'm struggling to come up with
another one.
I'm going to go with Grow the Game.
Randy, that's just for you. And what I mean by that is, I think Tom Kim made a ton of fans today.
And the point of doing this is to have a premiere event in international TV markets,
as well.
Korea is already a massive golf market.
They've had a president's cup in the past.
There's a lot of Korean players on the team They've had a president's cup in the past.
There's a lot of Korean players on the team
and they had a dude out there
running around fist pumping and Patrick Cantlay's face.
Like I think that guy is going to be a fucking rock star
like all over the world now.
And that's, I had a feeling that probably wasn't gonna last
to be a, they're a gun fell.
They're a gun fell.
But I didn't think that was, that was probably the rapid up signal for that point.
But I'm going to go with grow the game.
I have a feeling that this little comeback by the international's has officially
licensed the US team to bring out the bring out the antics a little bit tomorrow
and bring out the crowd pumping up and adding a whole another. If you're up by like 10 and you're doing that. It's a tough look
Whereas if you're only up four and you you know, you want to win by 10
I think they're gonna I expect JT to be out there slapping the floor tomorrow and run when he's running back on defense
Which is which is fantastic. I agree with you. I it it
It feels like a real sporting event now, right?
To where before it was just like,
I kind of felt like varsity versus JV.
Yeah.
And which like, again, is it likely to have flipped
the final result of it?
No, but dude, there's like two events
where that final scene happens,
where you get to see those dudes run around
and celebrate with each other and it just
It just felt like one after another after another after another there at the end and it was just sports
It was somebody had a tweet reply that just had sports greater than sports washing and that was very healthy comment in that moment
I love just seeing someone like SungJM who we watch every week on the PJ tour and I don't
know that I've ever seen him smile.
And he's out there just fucking beaming running around with his teammates and it's just,
I don't know, just adds a whole other layer of kind of context and color and, you know,
just thoughts about all these guys.
So it's just, it's great.
Did you ever wrangle the the individual player records DJ
I've it's been a struggle to try to find it but you know I didn't that's shocking that that would
not be readily available on a billion dollar companies website but no it is not not available I can't
can't find it anywhere. Yeah they don't do it on the Wikipedia. You mean just for this week or
overall just for the week just for the week. Yeah just would love to know like who's three, one, and oh, or whatever. Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
And speaking of that, how is there not a bottom, like a bottom line type scoreboard for
all the matches?
I know, Saul, I know that's your block, but it just hit me today.
Like, what the hell are we doing, NBC?
This is, this is, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
It's, no, it's good to just have up there for 14 straight hours
that it's eight to two though.
Yeah, it's insane.
I know that score is gonna change for four hours,
but we'll just leave that up there.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, and it's also, it's not like they haven't already
made this change in stroke play.
You're just totally forgetting to copy over the graphic and ref it despite
many people calling it out refusing to even remotely try to change it mid tournament.
And oh god. I'm I've resigned. Hampshire down. They've beaten me. They've won. They've crushed
my soul. I mean, just, in my head budgeted,
like, I'll be the only to see the T-Shots on 17
and the four ball, the two matches there left.
Like, why, you know, there's two friggin' holes left.
And we don't need to actually see the action.
So, that's, they won.
They beat me.
Can I give you as the darkest thought
that popped into my head today?
Please, please.
How much money do you think Tom give
is worth to live tonight?
To not go play the fight around. please, please. How much money do you think Tom give his worth to live tonight?
To not go play the fight around.
What do you think the number is? I want to hear the actual number from you.
$100 million.
I would say $7.
Well, I was going to say $50.
$7.
Yeah.
What a guy got a walk off.
Can't can't go out tomorrow.
Yeah. Well, you can't tell him. A limited go out tomorrow. Yeah, well you can't tell me
I'm limited pants. I feel like you can't tell anybody. You just like can't show up like just don't show up
No, I think you got to be like in one of their promo videos like with the zoom from your place
Just like yeah, I'm just so thrilled to be given this opportunity to I'm sure to keep crushers. Yeah
Oh God, I think that is,
that really crossed my mind.
It may be a lot for quite a while today.
Oh, that would, that might be the one to break me.
That might be, uh,
live just, let me,
let me, let me, let me just get that.
Here it looks like you guys are enjoying that.
Let me just, uh, let me just grab that for me real quick.
Cody, Cody, we forgot to wrap the cash up, It looks like you guys are enjoying that. Let me just grab that from you real quick.
Cody, we forgot to wrap the cash up, Gabe.
You're good to, thank you for everyone submitting me
your three word answers on the day.
That was, we left that one open for a while.
If you didn't win, you probably didn't deserve it.
Play that.
Then look next time, yeah, play better.
Final score prediction, before we get out of here.
You know for for for draft King season long
contest purposes, really hope it's somewhere
between 17 and 13 to 19 to 11.
Just really hoping it falls somewhere in there.
I love where you're sitting.
Absolutely.
I do too.
I in that same contest, I banked 19-11 coming into the week.
I feel really, really nice about that.
Yeah.
I think the US will get to 18 and a half tomorrow.
So, whatever that is, is that 11 and a half
on the other side, 18 and a half 11 and a half?
So, seven point win.
I think it will be.
It's all well not official yet.
Will you apologize for calling for a 23 to seven pile?
No, it was plus 1200.
It was a long shot, okay?
And I as of, and it's not dead yet.
I, that's why I said it's not, it's not a other question.
I will not apologize for that.
It was, I was not adamant about it.
It was a little sprinkle.
I rather than try to guess the correct score.
I was like, at least give me a little bit of a range here.
Something, you know, again,
it was at one point looking like it could in 14 to four today.
It obviously did not, but no, I don't regret that at all.
I think, I think that was actually a really smart play.
I would not apologize.
That was a, that was a sprinkled in play.
That was not a statement.
The year big tone might continue. You might get the clincher tomorrow.
If they come out, you know, all cylinders firing.
I feel like Big Tone's put a smile on my face every time he's come on the TV.
It's been great watch of this week.
No two bigger fans than you and I.
Exactly. And having gone through all that with him, Randy, I think it's great to see our faith finally paid off.
Exactly. And see him turning to kind of to see our faith finally paid off. Exactly.
And see him turn into kind of an American superstar.
That's great.
I'm just going to see if these two buttons work.
Yep, they do work.
Yeah, these two are officially muted.
One thing to work, significant to some will be to watch both the JT and Speed matches
tomorrow because the battle for top point score will be coming down to one of them.
Unless they both lose and Max wins, then he's able to to tie them at four. No one else has three. Is that correct?
Honestly, that is correct. Okay. I know Ben Coley tweeted this earlier. I'm gonna see if I can find it.
I don't have the the records with it, but total points. Yeah, no, I got it. Homo's on three and then
JT and Speed are on four and everybody else is two or below.
Cantlay, Shoffley, Finaus, Scott Davis and both Kims have two points and then at 1.5 is
Cam Young, Sungjae and Munoz and then 1.0 more.
Kaua Horsal, the Matsuyama, half point Burns, Sheffler, Kiznir, Puerra, Biseidenhout and
then zero are the okay enough brothers.
I think going back to the 2370, if the international's come back
and waiting you should have to do half most cash tomorrow.
That's so insulting.
23 and seven is so diminishing, demeaning.
I think my thought process was perfect on it.
I regret absolutely not of it.
They have a 3% chance of winning.
You won't risk a half mustache.
I, and it finishes 23, seven DJI,
and I will go half mustache.
I'm happy you will.
You know we're good for that.
I 100% know you well, but in 20, 78,
you will pay off the half mustache bet.
Anything else we have?
I feel like we might have short we might have short-changed
the the the morning for some session a little bit. Tomorrow night I like to grade each player
by the end of it and they're overall performance if we can. But, it would be like actual grading
or grade inflation grading. What's the difference? Well, you know, there's a lot of people in English great inflation going on. Yeah.
We can talk about it all.
We'll be prepared tomorrow.
Okay.
I'm excited to watch the final round tomorrow.
This was a long, long day of golf, but overall worthwhile.
Worth a while to see a little bit of a fun action there at the end.
So, with that, I think we will sign it off here tonight.
Jeff's on the say there, Randy. You look like you were ready to do it. with that, I think we will sign it off here tonight.
Jeff's gonna say they're any, you look like you were ready to do.
No, we're just gonna try to get through the order.
We're gonna try to pitch a complete game tomorrow
with the setup.
I really thought we had it.
We're gonna try to figure out what's going on here.
Did you camera overheat?
I think it's overheating.
There's a computer camp process all that.
Code man, I don't know what's going on.
You tried, you gave it a hell of an effort.
I will say one thing, young hitter,
Loan Cogland fired 170 today, sitting right at T18.
So need a big round tomorrow.
Why does that matter?
Big.
Well, I think first to get her into the Asian swing,
first and foremost.
And if she were to top top five could go a long way
to maybe get in the tour championship in November, top 60. She's, I believe she's down in like
the mid to low 80s at the moment. Did you guys, how do you, I know, I know, surely you
don't want to jinx anything big, but how is she looking at just as far as simply keeping
card? Are we locked up? Yeah, we should we should be fine. Especially with this week, we should be fine.
I want to give a shout to Rasmus Hoigard today, slept on a six shot lead and came out and
quinted the second hole.
He made an eight on the par three.
There was an outrageous, outrageous stat that I sent to you guys earlier.
Try again, face time and have during the second hole.
Trying to talk to him about the Ryder Cup team's next year.
He said the weekend of Trondon last very long.
Rasmus came in.
He got Boat, he got petalized, three shots.
He came out and he had negative eight shots
gained in ball striking today,
which is truly off the planet.
Had positive 5.5 strokes gain putting,
which is top point 1% of golf rounds,
and managed to keep a lunch out league
later tomorrow.
What an outrage just round of golf.
Just win, man.
Just find a way to get in the hole.
Scoreboard does not take pictures.
That's right.
But all right, let's wrap it.
Thank you guys for tuning in, Cody.
Anything else we missed, Cody?
Nope.
All right, thank you for running the ones and twos.
Randy, Dej, we'll see you back here tomorrow night
to wrap up the 2022 Presence Cup.
Thanks everyone for watching while college football is on.
You guys are incredibly, incredibly loyal.
Slash sickos, so.
Including you, smiley.
Including you.
All right, cheers boys. Take care. See you
That's better than most
That is better than most. Better than most!
