Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm going to be the right club today. Yeah! That is better than most. How about him? That is better than most. Better than most. Expect anything different. We are bad. Biggy, what's up buddy? What's up Cody and what's up to everybody watching.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Thank you for tuning in or listening to another edition of Live from the Dog House. US Women's Open. What a great day it was. T.C., I wanna start here. You've said a couple times today. It was just the perfect amount of golf. It was a wonderful day. How do you feel in big dog? No good, so good.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Yeah, leaderboard, no. I don't even know a little bit to be desired, but it was just a delightful day out there. The sun was out. The sun is still out. The earlier finish is nice. And yeah, it was just walked like nine or ten holes out there, watched a little bit on TV this evening. It was a chamber of commerce day out of Pebble. It really was. It really was. Jordan, how's your experience today? It was pretty great. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about tomorrow. I can't lie. Things are getting tougher.
Starting point is 00:01:31 I were seeing last red numbers. This leaderboard is so much tightening up in a way that I like, but we'll get to that. Yeah, we'll get there. As I said, it's the dog house. Thank you very much to Roeback for helping make this possible Roeback active where we're all sporting it now. You know how much we love Roeback. We are beyond pumped to be rocking it here in Pebble Beach at the US Open. It feels like every tournament we go to guys, we see that subtle dog logo and the two stripes on the back.
Starting point is 00:02:03 And if you go to a tournament, wear a rowback. It's as simple as that. The three products, you all know them by now, but I'm gonna go over them anyway. They're performance polos. They just hit different. I got one, you can kind of see. I got my USA red and blue star shirt on underneath my polo.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Jean-Guyistic, Randy. And whether it's USA themed like this, they're classic solids, they're stripes, the polos, they look clean. They have four-way stretch material, they're moisture wicking, the polos are made to get you through a warm summer day on the course.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Second, the performance hoodies, which we are all in tonight, these are the softest, stretchiest hoodies in golf. And if you want to be comfortable and relaxed on the course, where a rowback hoodie, T.C., you had to go through on the Tannimal. I did. I had a maybe one on earlier, but we're, we're O.D.ing on maybe this season, which is, you know,
Starting point is 00:02:59 Cody's an army guy, so he's, we can't have that. Thank you for restoring the balance. It's an homage to Sully he can't have that. Thank you for restoring the balance. It's an homage to Sully. Sully, we miss you. So yeah, wear it on the course, wear it off the course. We can't take these hoodies off. They are comfortable and they're just, they're the best.
Starting point is 00:03:17 And then third, last but not least, the rowback performance Q-Zips are a true game changer. Nothing beats rocking a rowback Q-Zip for an early round of golf. They're soft, they're stretchy, they're comfortable. You won't want to take them off. Right now, you can use the code NLU on rowback.com for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's spelled R-H-O-B-A-C-K dot com, 20% off all polos QZips hoodies and more with code NLU the summer is calling Make sure to check them out now sincerely sincerely thank them
Starting point is 00:03:54 Guys we we it's Saturday We were up till 2 a.m last night. We didn't sit down to dinner till 11. It's so nice having you know we chopped We we chopped half the, we, we chopped half the field. We went out and took some today. The sun's out. It's a glorious evening. We're going to make this not short, but this is going to be tight. This is going to be good. And then we're going to get to dinner after this. So with that said, I think we got to talk about all the ladies that are under par. We got six of them. Before we get there, let's talk set up.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Okay, good call. Set the table there. Before our dinner, we're going to set the table here. Jordan, what did you think of the set up today? I thought it was good. I thought it was the right amount of test. I thought it was the right amount to capitalize on. I mean, I liked that the back nine played particularly harder today.
Starting point is 00:04:44 And some of our leaders, I felt like they got through that end of that stretch and the back nine played particularly harder today and some of our leaders I felt like they got through that end of that stretch on the front nine pretty well and that gives me a lot of confidence for tomorrow But yeah, I don't know conditions wise. I think we need just a bit of a steeper test, but I was pleased I like the I like to move in the tee up on two moving the tee up on 14 about 14 was a lot more dynamic today stoked for the Hand the, the, Pandamoro on seven. You know, seven was like 99 yards that front Pendeday, which was tough downwind.
Starting point is 00:05:14 A lot of really good shots in there. Um, and then yeah, I don't know. It's, it's, I think the parts, the part five's played more interesting today than I felt like they put the first two days. It was fine. I mean, it was a tail of two nines. The number two and number six both played under par two was getable. We saw some my start. It's maybe eight feet for eagle on six. Six was you could certainly make birdie there. And then both par five's on the back plate over par and I think at 1.18 was playing as maybe the one of, if not the most difficult hole on the course,
Starting point is 00:05:49 which was curious. Right back into the wind. Yeah, I think as we look forward to tomorrow, you know, they chopped about 150 yards off the set up today. I don't know. I think we're gonna get pretty similar weather. It feels like you go back and put that yardage back on or do you, you know, it's going to be some tougher pins tomorrow, I think.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I know. I don't think they're going to give us like a monster test. I suspect they'll give us the tough pins. I think it'll be around 6400 yards. But the one hole I would like to see them kind of make 18, attempt these ladies to go forward and to agree. Yeah, I think 18's been kind of kind of lackluster so far. I think 14, 14 actually, like they moved the T up and I felt it, it actually made it more dynamic and like forced the issue a little bit more where, you know, just because it was shorter, like you can get in so much trouble around that green, whereas when you force everybody to lay up, you almost take, you know, bogey and double more out of the equation, and you're just going to see a lot of powers, right? So, I want to see a little bit more dynamism there on on on 18, especially.
Starting point is 00:07:00 So Jordan, do you love carnage? Are you just looking like hey, let's let's make this tough? Let's you know, let's make it somewhat fair I don't know where you shake out. I'm a carnage lover. I want to see pain. I want to see peers I want to see women leaving the golf course just broken Same with the men. I just feel like a US open 72 should be sacred Yeah, I mean I I just feel like a US open 72 should be sacred. Yeah, I mean, I, like you said, I mean, I don't think you can win a US open
Starting point is 00:07:31 and without a little bit of carnage, but yeah, I mean, if we're just relying on pen positions for tomorrow, that's fine. I don't know that maybe the tease will be that different. I respectfully, I would love to see a little more, some more cutsy shots tomorrow. I was watching a marie-avery a little bit and she got in a little bit of trouble, especially on what was it? Oh gosh, I think it was a stretch on...
Starting point is 00:08:03 She came out fire. Yeah. She came out fire. Yeah. She she'll have to a great start. And you're like, all right, like she's to even her one under and then that that evaporated. Yeah. It was, I mean, it was a good, you know, good case for hey, you just can't bomb it all over the place and expect to succeed here because she like, she's leading in driving distance now, which there's not. I'm really an award for that. It's the low amp she's going for and that didn't happen. But yeah, I mean, look, lying on those pin positions tomorrow, hopefully, if the wind is really going to be the same, then it is what it is, but hoping for some tough. I know KVV's got some takes on Amari that will keep holstered until tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:08:42 He had some. Yeah, some observations about her today. And speaking on the setup, I thought Yucasaso was another one. She, she eagled two and she eagled six. She was three under and then bogey nine, but got to 11 and just made one of the worst triples we've ever seen TC, three potted from about three feet. That was tough. So there is, I mean, there's there's always some bad stuff lurking out there. I just like, I don't know. I'd not seen enough bogeys from the leaders to my liking. But we'll see.
Starting point is 00:09:21 We were a little sloppy down the stretch. Nasa was just, Nasa was the story of the day. Should we start there? Yeah, yeah, we need to start really sloppy down the stretch. Nasa was just, Nasa was the story of the day. Should we start there? Yeah. Yeah, we need to start there. Yeah. We need to start there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:31 The under par rounds. Nasa was, well, she shot 66, which was nine clear, I think, of the scoring average for the day. Yeah. Ken Dukin. It really was. And Drillin Indoor shot skein data for today. All of it was, she was plus 3.12 around the greens and plus four putting.
Starting point is 00:09:52 So she was at out of a total of 8.7 shots skein. So she was just doing work in and around the greens. She had a great sweater on. I thought the sweater was exceptionally crispy. We saw a number of good sweaters today. Yeah. Yeah, somebody had a noisy, noisy sweater. A G A Shin. Yeah, which will get to her. She's been wearing those. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I like them. I think something that sticks with me about Nasa, like she doesn't vomit. She doesn't do anything really like, like nothing jumps off the page of you. She's just like the contact is just so pure. Every single time she rolled a rock, she's just solid all around game. As majors, yeah, she has. And we actually, we ran into a good friend of the program, Grant Boone. And he shared a tidbit that Nasa was Judy Rankins pick beginning of the week, which I said, Grant, this is the stuff you have to be telling me earlier than Saturday afternoon.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Like, I need Judy Rankins pick earlier than that. But for anybody that doesn't know, TC, you said it. Nasa, she's 24 years old. Yes, she is named after the United States space program, which is incredible Mars bitches red broad Artemis she just a little biographical stuff So 2016 as a teenager she won Japan's women's open golf championship She was an amateur at that time. It was a JLPGA major. She turned pro right afterwards that winter earned her LPGA tour card through the
Starting point is 00:11:25 Q series and has been playing LPGA golf ever since. So she's been out here a while, she's won six times, she's had eight runner-up finishes, a number of top 10s, I mean she's a cut machine, she's got 98 made cuts and 122 starts. And Tee see, this is where I'm kicking myself. She finished runner up at Olympic in 2021. That was a big, big, you know, component of our models. Yes. We just looked right over them. I do think it's a credit to the Japan LPGA, which we were shitting on all over the JLPGA the other night. But I'll say this, she didn't stick around and just beat up on the JLPGA. She immediately got out of there.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Yeah. Yeah. No, she seems delightful. There was a tweet up that she went over and thanked all the volunteers, which I know is really, really cool. That means a lot. I know. She's really, she's curing my favor.
Starting point is 00:12:23 She seems like a very warm like warm soul. Yeah, like in just a just a delightful human being. Yeah, we referenced that tweet. T.C. just did from at only the hot takes, which is usually a scary route. I know, I know, I know, I know, but those are my people. Those are who are feeding me information. Anyway, at only the hot takes said on the first he not so walked up to the volunteers smiled, introduced herself and thanked them for their help. Most cheerful player I followed all week. So fun to watch. Karma maybe real could not be more of a fan now. Pretty cool to see. Yeah, that is great. That's so awesome. Good on her She absolutely can win. She's very deserving. I think she's probably going to win
Starting point is 00:13:08 I have some cause for concern really very quickly her playoff record leaves a lot to be desired What's your playoff record? Oh, and four. Oh, and four. Oh, and four So she does it. She's gonna have to do it in regulation. You're saying yeah, take me through these these playoffs does it she's going to have to do it in regulation you're saying yeah take me through these these playoffs uh two of them were LPGA events and two of them were in major so KPMG 2018 uh she lost two Songhan Park and Siyo Yun Ryu um and in 2021 at the US women's open against Yukesaso right listen I think you know sometimes you get beat in a playoff It seems like one of those instances You go and out and got it you could yeah, as I remember I think you could went and got it
Starting point is 00:13:52 I was gonna say that was a Japanese You know that's tough Filipino back then all day long I've been thinking of the Ariana Grande song NASA and there's a line in there that says, I'm gonna need space. Nasa might have to be that person tomorrow. Should I need some of what of a cushion? I also was thinking of that Ariana Grande song. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Big, you came out with the stats, phenomenal date for her stroke skin total. But many people are asking the commentators are up in arms. For your stats, I don't do you have on hand how many feet of putt she actually made. We heard on the broadcast almost 100. It was damn near a hundred feet of putts made. Which, you know, those greens, I don't even know if there's a hundred feet of putts to make on those greens, because they're so small. That's, that's a great point, T.C. That's, that's the equivalent on baltas or all greens of like 3000 yards of, and beyond that, like she chipped in on 16.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Like that's not even counting her chip ends, right? That's crazy. Yeah. She was feeling it. Can, can she put that well again, will her ball striking? I'm super curious. I, I, I am curious both curious, both of our final pairing, her and Alison Corpus, both looking to win their first major. Both of, you know, Nasa more than Alison has been in this position,
Starting point is 00:15:17 but you know, when they're three clear of the next closest, I guess Alison, excuse me, finished at six hundred. So she's one back of NOSA, but a little gap there between the rest of the field, it's going to be really interesting what the energy is in that final pairing. Should we go to Allison or can we go to the Tardy party? Let's go to the Tardy party. First, I think you know, you cleaned up your mess, then it turns out it maybe wasn't even a mess to begin with. So Bailey shot 75. I put it to the people earlier today asking,
Starting point is 00:15:53 asking the folks on Twitter what they thought she would shoot. And the majority nailed it. It was, I believe Cody, you have the tweet. I don't know if it was 73 to 75 or 74 to 76, whatever it was, but she came in right there. It was, do you regret apologizing? No, I don't. You don't regret apologizing yet, because I think she's absolutely in this tournament, absolutely can win this tournament.
Starting point is 00:16:17 But if she comes out and shoots, let's say, 78 tomorrow, something like that, then I might be reaching out to the Tarte family for an apology to me about my apology to them. I think the tardy family should probably reach out to everybody to apologize for the drop on, on that 14. How's there a random sprinkler in the middle like the highest rough hay like anywhere. There's weird shit at Pebble Beach. Like, yeah, doesn't make any sense. like anywhere. There's weird shit at Pebble Beach. Like, it doesn't make any sense. I think that's where it's like, I wish the rules officials could exercise.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Is this a subjective element? Yes, where, okay, let's say the sprinkler really is in your way. We're going to make you drop in a spot that's really not a good lie, because I believe your lie wasn't good. Can you describe the situation what played off for people who didn't catch a broadcast? She blew it, a par five, 14th dog leg right, she hit it right off the tee into some of the thickest rough, honestly, on the course.
Starting point is 00:17:14 How do you know it's so thick over there? Oh, I spent a lot of time over there making sure. Actually, I take that back. I was in the fairway. I shanked two out of bounds from the middle of the fairway. I've cleared that rough.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Yeah, cleared that rough. And somehow there was a sprinkler. Now, I never quite saw with the camera where the sprinkler was, how it was affecting her life, whether it was like stance or like swing path or anything like that. I mean, it must have been there. It's not like, it's not like, Bro Tassq, like, what Onika did yesterday. No, no, no, no. But it's just a shame that you kind of get bailed out.
Starting point is 00:17:52 You know, I saw, it's small potatoes, but I saw Hugh Joochim get a drop. She was near a sprinkler in the first cut. And she was able to drop, because it's within a club length, out onto the fairway. I do think, I do think there should be a rule where you can't change mo height with a drop. Now, that has nothing to do with Bailey's drop today, but just an aside.
Starting point is 00:18:15 So the tardy party, she was shaky all day. She drove it over the cliff on six right. Yeah, she, she, she kept driving in the bag a few times, some weird misses, but also, I don't know, she kind of, she could have played, like she could have shot a lot worse today and made a couple of pots down the stretch and hung on, she fought, she battled. I was going to say, she had a chip in. I thought her big mistake was just the sloppy, sloppy chips on 15 that led to doubles. She kind of played ping pong a little bit.
Starting point is 00:18:48 That seemed unforced and listen, those are at least one shot there. If not two, that you just can't be thrown away in the US open. So I will say this though, in all honesty, if let's assume the winner is going to come from the group of women that are currently under par, I'd like it to be Bailey Tarty. I mean, why not?
Starting point is 00:19:11 I know how much the win would mean to her career. You know, we know the struggle she's been through kind of trying to live up to potential and realize her full abilities. So I do think and I do recognize it would be a great win. And you know Cody wants an American winner. So that would be good. He just gave me a dirty look. All right, who should we go to next? Let's go to Corpus next. Yeah, let's stop sleeping on Alice and Corpus, please. Are you are you are you staking?
Starting point is 00:19:45 Are you staking your reputation on Corpus tomorrow? I absolutely am. I still feel good. I still feel good. I think she's one of the better wind players out there. Yes, fine. The Bogey on 18 was not wonderful, but she's showing the part of it. Yeah, bottom line.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah, but it was good. Round. It was sustainable. She was sustaining. And that's great. That's what I want out of a major champion. And with a bad bad bogey on 18. Yeah. Well, she still shot 71. Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen a ball plug with a three wood. Quite like that. That was a horrific shot. It was tough. I don't think you can hit a shot like that. And when you open is my concern, what's some of the pace of play? Pace of play was a little slower than yesterday, I felt.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Um, but yeah, I mean, that gaff on 18, I don't think it threw her off too bad. I think, you know, she, she played through the tough stretches pretty well. Um, that T-shirt on 17 was absolutely B.A. I thought that was sick. I wish she would have had a birdie there, but overall I mean she had a really solid day. I really liked what I saw out of Adelaide Allison. I'm not really worried about her going into tomorrow. Short game looked really good. It looked as good as it did pretty much yesterday and I think that's something that she's really leaned into a lot.
Starting point is 00:21:08 She's fifth in Strokes game. Short game. Fifth and round three. And I'll say third overall for the turnover. Overall. Yeah. And she hits that little low bullet. You know, that kind of punch shot. I know the the the wedging of 14 was like among the shots of the day. I mean, nobody was getting a close back there tough to shove it back there. That green so elevated and got it back there. Control the spin enough. I almost hold it. It was proper. I know her profile. You guys know how I'm playing with my toys, these these shot games.
Starting point is 00:21:40 I just can't get enough of them. Her profile right now is really good for I believe for pebble. She's second and strokes gained approach for the week, third and strokes gained short game and like totally neutral. She's 22nd putting, but less than a stroke gain overall putting and like neutral off the tee, which I think is a really good recipe. And to me, like, she's not faking anything so far this week. I think if she wins, Cody needs to apologize the entire USC athletic department. I think that bit Cody, are you willing to do that tomorrow? No, I'm paying attention to comments. What are we talking about? If Allison Corpus wins, I think we think maybe there's an apology coming to the USC
Starting point is 00:22:22 athletic department. Yeah, Pat Hayden, Lynn Swan. T.C.'s close personal friend, Lynn Swan. Not that probably won't have to be a big read. I was trying to throw me under the bus about one in American to win. I want the best call for twin here. But when you threw that little dig in me, you completely steamrolled her. I'm with my good partner here.
Starting point is 00:22:41 I think she's got the best shot tomorrow. I do too. T.C. isn't it the juices your uncle juices birthday tomorrow It is yeah tomorrow. Can you imagine? Allison corpus winning the US open on on uncle juices birthday. Wow Wow, that's crazy also speaking of birthday shout out to Sali. That's why it's Sali's birthday today I don't know how old is the news birthday yesterday It's solid is birthday today. I don't know how old. It's Neal's birthday. Yes. And the old birthday is a great.
Starting point is 00:23:04 It's a great. Just a merge row of birthdays. Guys, the sun is sold. Oh my god. This is a hardship show for us. I understand the viewers. I'm sorry. The sun is just blaring.
Starting point is 00:23:16 The reflection is crushing that right now. I'm sweating. We thought about all we're going to have. Roll back, buddy. It's nuts. We're going to have this unbelievable view out to the Pacific Ocean. And then we didn't realize,
Starting point is 00:23:28 we've totally forgot that our cameras would be facing directly into the sun if we did that. So listen, you live in the lab, you know, believe me, we're, it's a good view. Well, that's cool. We're about 26 minutes into the show so far we've covered three players.
Starting point is 00:23:44 So let's, let's keep it going. Quickly before we move on, I want to say there's some pretty big Soulheim Cup implications tomorrow if Allison does that. Thank you, Jordan. I think, exactly, right. I think if she doesn't pull it off, I think she's. She's in a good spot.
Starting point is 00:23:57 I was gonna say, tough times, Nora, that's a good point. I'm not a great place. So, Soulheim Cup was. And I'm pretty sure there's a few people that were ahead of her missed the cut this week. So I mean, it's a good chance to really solidify her spot. This is not financial advice, but if you're sitting at home, like I would put all the
Starting point is 00:24:17 nuggies on the European team. I also, I want to request an independent party to come out at the current state of the fund. I think the decision fund has made some probably back in tires one back. Right. I called it a place this week. I don't know. You want us to be tight.
Starting point is 00:24:31 You want us to be tight. Speaking of speaking of bad plays this week, Megan Kang was out there today. It was cool. She was out in six. She was, you know, walking around watching the golf. You think it's always awkward when somebody like you know who they are. They know who you are and you're like make eye contact a couple too many times. You're like, are you going to go say you're going to come say hi?
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, because we don't want to like blow her cover. Right. Obviously, she's just trying to like watch her friend play golf. Right. But man, um, huge old Kim, you know, you know,
Starting point is 00:24:59 I'm under the radar 73. I expected a little bit more as did I. However, she, she, you know, bogeyed 14. Not a bad bogey on a really nice birdie on six. Just, I don't know. She just, I was expecting a little bit more. If you subscribe to the theory that you're gonna have at least nine, if not 18 holes of mediocre play during a major championship win, today would be it for Hujo. she's right there I mean she's gonna be penultimate group she's
Starting point is 00:25:30 one a major I am not counting her out by any stretch of the imagination profile is pretty well balanced you know off the tee yeah putting in iron. So she's probably, in my opinion, like, out of that is top, top four, top five, I think she's, it's like Nasa and in her. I'm sorry. Jordan's kind of got me sold on Alison Corpus. I'm, I'm going to stick with Corpus. I, um, God, this is going gonna come back to bite me, but you guys know I like to apologize when I'm wrong. I'm ready to discount both women tied for fifth. G A Shin and Hey Ranyu.
Starting point is 00:26:14 G A Shin had the most egregious pace of play I've seen this year. Oh, by number six. Yeah. Like I was, she spent like four minutes over a two foot putt And yeah, that was after she spent four minutes. Oh, it's right. It's like a 12 foot putt before that. That's right I do want to say Gation I got to be better than this, but she's 35 years old. She used to be an LPJ stalwart
Starting point is 00:26:42 T.C. I think you'd actually like her resume. I have no doubt. I just, yeah, all that gets thrown out the window when you play that slow. I know, but check this out. She's got 11 career LPGA wins, six career L.E.T. wins, 30 JLPGA wins, 20 KLPGA wins,
Starting point is 00:27:01 and four AWPGA wins, which is the Australia women's tour. She's like Miss worldwide. Yeah. She's won two British opens, including by nine in 2012 at Royal Liverpool. National opens are a good thing. Yeah. But it hasn't had a top 10 at a major since the 2013 KPMG.
Starting point is 00:27:21 So she's this is kind of a late career little flourish from her. Great week. I I'm just not feeling like she's gonna be that relevant tomorrow. Hey Ron Rue. How we feeling? I Got to be honest. We kind of talked about her last night just a little bit Jordan. I don't know if you have any strong thoughts on her I just can't conjure up any strong opinions at this point. No, I mean, and you know, I can kind of get to it later, but she might be my worst case scenario if she happens to do something magical tomorrow,
Starting point is 00:27:53 but plus one today, I don't know. I don't know. We have brutal bogey on 18. We have brutal. Brutal. Brutal. Those are all your, those are your women under par and TC, we are going to go down the lear board before we do, before we do. I want to tell people it's going to be, it's a limited seating experience tonight at
Starting point is 00:28:18 Chef TC's leader board. Just like the length of his shorts, we're just going to keep it short and sweet. Okay. Well, I'm just saying people dogging me for sure, but I just gonna keep it short and sweet, okay? Come on man, well I'm just saying. People dogging me? For sure, but I make it sure. It doesn't let that bad. People are just saying there's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:28:29 No, they're good, they're totally normal shorts. They're like three inches above the, above the knee. I actually think they're pretty long. Yeah, well you're down in Texas. They're not thinking to flip that. I said before we go down the Leroy Boer or TC though, because I wanna talk about one specific woman on your Don again. Jordan, I think she's going to be low am.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I mean, I think the low am thing is still wide open. Wow. Wide open. Okay. She made a nine today. She did make a nine today, but she had some pretty nice puts on the back nine. She made a nine today. Yeah, it was bad.
Starting point is 00:29:03 It was bad. I don't think it's wide open. I don't think we have to worry that much. She did say in her post-round interview, it's easily the best she's hit the ball of any round thus far. She's only three ahead of Benadetta, Maresco and Monay Chun. I will say. I know.
Starting point is 00:29:23 I was trying to crown her way too early. I'm restating my case. She made it. I'm not worried. I'm not worried. It was too bad swings on eight. She hit two into the hazard, made a mess, made a nine. I mean, if she just bogies that hole, she shoots 71 today.
Starting point is 00:29:37 I mean, Amari's only five back of her. I know you're, you know, I'm going to pull your heartstrings a little bit. I knew you are. You are. This this morning there, there was some excitement. I felt like Amari was really in this. I did, but I don't know. That back nine stretch was just tough, jarring, tough. Can you imagine an Amari low AM tomorrow? Shout out USC, an Alison Corpus win tomorrow. Shout out USC on your uncle, Jesus birthday. Yeah, lots of fighting on. Um, I want to say this too.
Starting point is 00:30:11 I, I am late to the on you, Don again, party. I don't really know what changed. I'm actually really liked your post round interview. She had a great attitude. Uh, she seems to have a good spirit about her. I'm in. She want me over today. I'm to have a good spirit about her.
Starting point is 00:30:25 I'm in. She want me over to today. I'm in. I hope she has a great college career and I hope we see her someday out on the LPGA full time. I like what she's about. I think it's a cool story if the 144th ranked amateur grabs low M.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Like that's awesome. That's exciting. And like none of us had our Arbingo card. I mean, to be fair, Arbingo card was pretty bad. Oh, Arbingo cards were awful. They've been incinerated. I do think the, if she, you know, low-am and whatever she finishes, she made the cut, low-am, that should get it in an tournament next year. Low-am, that should get her an internment next year. Low-am.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Yeah. Yeah. But it doesn't, but it should. It should. There's a guy that's been on Twitter just like every, we're spying to almost every tweet about Ingrid Lindblad why she's not here to sick block. Why is she not here?
Starting point is 00:31:21 Because there's no low-am exemption. Well, I know that, but did she attempt to qualify? I think so. So, yeah. So, part of me is like, yeah, if you're not good enough to get through qualifying, this in the tournament for you. Yeah, but they kind of made it to the special exemption. Everyone might have had it. This shouldn't have been the tournament for. We'll talk more about that tomorrow. Chef TC, I think we're I think, I think, I think we're ready to see our guests down the leaderboard. We're gonna do a five course tasting this evening.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Five courses, all right? I love it. We're gonna start off with an amuse-bush. Uh, it's a, it's a, it's a duo. All right. I'm so excited for this. Charlie Hole and Angel Yis. Yes, this is who I'm gonna watch all of tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Such a great pairing. I will go. I love it. Follow it with you. This pairing can go two ways. They're either both gonna shoot like 65 and just have a heck of a day. Or both of them are gonna shoot like 81
Starting point is 00:32:21 and just completely eradicate themselves from you. And be the most miserable people on earth. I mean, this is like oysters and caviar and some creme fresh. This is a very, very delicate plate that can spoil in a hurry or it could be the most delicious thing you've ever eaten. I think Angel, Angel's playing rock solid golf. thing you've ever ever eaten. I think Angel, Angel's playing rock solid golf. I don't know, I could see her making some like she was right in it. She made a couple bogie. She bogged 16 and 18. Yeah. Otherwise, she's like, I would say if she's a two or three under instead of even, like she's my pick to win it, but you know, little bit of she's going to need a little bit of help.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Yeah. Tomorrow. We both commented commented her putting looks really good. Yeah, it looks confident. And I really like that going forward. I just looks like she's in a really good spot. Um, next up after we've got that, you know, just banger of a, of a, of a, I've been a Moose pooch that the palette is cleansed. Uh, we're going to skip over is cleansed. We're gonna skip over Minji Lee. We're gonna talk about Rose. Rose is T9. Nothing against Minji. Minji's
Starting point is 00:33:33 one of my favorite players from my favorite swings, but just you know she's she's not quite there and I don't you know she's she may get a top four or top five, but I don't think she's gonna win. Are you talking about Mindy or Rose Mindy? Okay, so that goes yeah There's a lot of information for a name that's I'm just I'm listing off the special Rose what what we think of that today Hmm, I expect it a little bit more. I really did. Even's fine. Yeah, I'm going to put you on the spot. What would you expect?
Starting point is 00:34:10 I just I expected her to make more pots. I really did. The pot that she missed on seven after nearly making an ace. It's tough. Bad. Yeah. That would have put her three like that was she would have been three under on the front nine. She makes that and then is running downhill lost strokes on the greens today. I think Rose is probably playing with her B game B minus game and a strong B minus game. Like this is not the Rose who are used to seeing. I don't really know what's going on with it. I mean, what does she have so far? Round is 74, 71, 72, like, there's so much left there, you can see that she's like, okay, it's going to come, it's going to come,
Starting point is 00:34:51 this round's going to come. And it just never seems to really open up. It's almost like she's like flagging it 50% of the time. And the other French was 50% of the time. She's hitting the like eye hit my arms. Yeah, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. The, uh, what if they set it up tomorrow just for chasers? It's like, you know what, we're gonna open it wide, wide up and we're just gonna, we're gonna, my run downhill those first seven or eight holes. I get a little nervous with that because I just think, Hujo and Nasa are super solid and I, of course, big numbers. Yeah, I just think Hujo and Nasa are super solid. And I, of course, make big numbers. Yeah, I just don't think so.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I mean, honestly, I think Rose is best shot, is to set it up as difficult as possible, and go out and do what Nasa did today. And kind of, you know, put one on the board that's like a standard deviation or two away from the rest of the field. I mean, she played her best golf here when it was breezy and it was tough. I mean, yeah. And I think that's kind of like the rosang X factor in a lot of ways that a lot of players don't have.
Starting point is 00:35:56 It's like her egging comes when no one else has it and when everyone else is a little too scared. And so I like that she's looking at. It's what I like about fire in the day. It's like, especially after you make that turn after seven or eight, you're kind of like, all right, but let's really, you know, like those last, I guess, I guess eight nine or nine and 10 were playing easier today because they were downwind,
Starting point is 00:36:21 but I don't know, I feel like it was tough coming in and she, you know, expected like when the going gets tough for her to rise above it a little bit and she kind of backed up on the back nine. She said the air pot in during the walk and talk bothered her. Really? Yeah. Uh oh. That ain't good. Yeah. I thought the walk and talk was awesome though. She did a great job. She did do a great job. Normal rose interview. There were like 19 different people asking her questions. They shouldn't be an interview. The normal rose interview. There were like 19 different people asking her questions. They shouldn't be an interview just like talk about the damn whole man talking about how
Starting point is 00:36:49 the strategy and what she's thinking and all this stuff. Yeah. I mean, it's just it's wild. It seemed like they ran five different people asking questions against her and then they finally gave her a chance to breathe, let her hit her shot and then they double down on it again. And I understand that Rose agrees to all this stuff, but man, I wonder why it bothered her. I know I know she's sometimes she's not a big fan of Mike's and it gets a little itchy. Mrs. Upper swing a little bit, but that's funny because we had her mic'd up for when she was right, which is going super low out in the college of S. Corey.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Right. I think tomorrow's a big day for Maya Stark. I was proud of Maya. So she was paired with Rose today. Big spot, which is like, you know, the crowds are real out here following Rose. Like it's really fun to see, but it's a little bit of a circus.
Starting point is 00:37:45 I'm sure if you're if you're paired with Rose and I'm not sure if Maya's had quite that experience, certainly not in a spot this big. She handled it really well. She shot 72. Her shot into six may have been the shot of the day. She missed the putt unfortunately, but she fought. I like what I see from her. You know, the thing I'm like, what I'm seeing like into six into eight is the firmness of not only the greens, but the firmness of the run-up areas in front of the greens as well.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Like it's playing so much more true than say, like obviously it's been a little summer, but like, then say in February for the Pebble Beach Pro Am where, you know, great, and you're not seeing people run it up short or whatever, but like, it's playing bouncy and like, I expect the US open to play on that front. Yep.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Kudos to the, to the, to the supers, my people, the supers, really the courses in, in really nice condition. Next person, I'm to skip over Ayaka. Through way, even though it's my favorite name to pronounce. Leonimo Guar. She's 69, 74, 75. I don't know. She doubled six.
Starting point is 00:38:59 That was like egregious. It was bad. It was bad. She had a really tricky like, I don't know what it was. 56 year bunker. Yeah, she had a really tricky like I don't know what it was 56-year bunker shot. She left it in there, but her next shot was to the front of the green. I mean that putt for par was awful. Yeah, like she she almost hit it to the rough. Yeah, that was a big mental lapse. I assume it was kind of staying with her. She doubled eight. But then she finds a few coming in. I do think she grinds, you know, I'm just, I'm disappointed because I,
Starting point is 00:39:34 I really wanted her to break through and, yeah, and win a big one. But I just can't force it, I guess. I don't know. Next up, no, I was just going to say I just feels like, you know, she just kind of'm just gonna say I just feels like, you know, just kind of keep slipping away by the day and, you know, it's kind of the opposite of traditional Leona, which is interesting to me, but also just to feel like she likes being in this position. She likes climbing up that leaderboard. Gradually, and it's like we're just kind of seeing her receipt a lot. Yeah, it's frustrating. I thought that yesterday, I thought yesterday was going to be her like bad round of the tournament. Yeah. Laying that 74 in a big spot and to come out today, I get a two doubles which were tough but just dumb like decisions being made.
Starting point is 00:40:16 And like on a tough day when you got a grind and you got to get up and down and everybody's struggling like the field average is what's seven, you know, 75 and that's the day that she should thrive, right? Next up, I got Gabby Ruffles. Open with a 78 this week and she's gone, she's gone three under since then. Yes, please. Minus two today, 200 parts 70 today and open, you know, birdie three out of her first four. And then birdie 11 and 12, which is impressive too. So I don't know. I think the world of Gabby's game and her like mental makeup and I think it's can I make a, you know, we like to make comparisons to the men's side.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I think Gabby ruffles is a little like Matt Fitzpatrick. That fits Patrick. Just USAM winners. It's not just technical though. Maybe in the way in where I feel like they succeed. I just feel like they have an ability to play well on difficult USGA setups. Almost had two US women's am's. Right there. She was honestly, she probably should have over rose
Starting point is 00:41:26 Whoa That's a take I think who who are comp didn't she miss the shorty? Yeah, I mean she she should have gone back to back So I mean that's just you know looking at looking at the stats like but she went off CC to your point She went off early today. Yeah, and and got in the house with a 70 at 200 and What like the second best round of the day or Damn near. Yeah, outside of not so I was gonna say she just rocketed up the leaderboard. She's tied for 14th now going into the final round Yeah, I think that's on a super super impressive
Starting point is 00:42:04 That was our main course guys, so you know, we've got a smattering of different options for dessert here I was impressed Cody will you will ask to have a couple after after dinner digestifs? You know, I love my dessert I was impressed with Marina Alex is 70 today God you got to talk about brokerals the Canadians are going to be pissed. I'll say Marina a lot like a lot like Gabby. She shot 70. She's gone 75 73.
Starting point is 00:42:29 What do you want me to say? Exactly. Canadians are covered. Moving on. Yeah, do better. Why don't you produce some more world class golfers besides Brooke? Brooke Taylor Pendry, things of that nature. What else?
Starting point is 00:42:44 You know what? Nelly's showing a little bit of grit. She is. She's hanging around. Even part of day, 72, after kind of studying the ship, you yesterday with 73. Yeah, I don't know. Dispointed in Pag T a little bit back to back 75s now. I think honestly, that's probably on us if we have expectations at this point. I guess we will, we will, we will finish off the meal with a flambé, with some fire on the table. Yukasaso.
Starting point is 00:43:16 I think we burned the flambé. Yeah. Like I said, two eagles on the front and then one of their highlights, if anybody wants to click through on the on the scoring page, you can watch how she makes triple on 11. It's not good. It's unbecoming of a former US Open champion. I thought I thought she was the man that needed to get in, you know, at 70, 71 today,
Starting point is 00:43:44 put herself firmly in the mix and it just didn't happen. Disappointing round for Yuka. Um, bummed about Lynn Grant, her third 75 in a row. Yeah. Can't have that. No. Uh, what else? That's, that's really all I got. It was like, we don't have to go down that far down the leaderboard on this one because it's just You know, it's kind of like the important stuff is up near the top and and we're not doing moral victories other than like Gabby Ruffles and in Maya Yeah, I mean the top yeah, yeah, yeah to be to be fair to everybody Gabby ruffles if she does shoot it good around tomorrow and finish this top 10
Starting point is 00:44:24 It's it's clearly a backdoor top 10. I will recognize that, but that all told it's a good week for somebody that doesn't have LPJ status right now. We'll next year. That's the rare backdoor top 10 that impresses me more than if she would have shot like, you know, 74, 74, 74, and then goes out tomorrow and, you know, shoots 68 or 70. Like I'd rather you go explode and show me that you can fight back and you're gritty a little bit.
Starting point is 00:44:52 I will say the, the landlord, uh, renter grouping score one for, uh, for the owner class today. Janet, Janet Link Clipter, Clipter, learning in. It's, you know, you wanna buy land. Yeah. You don't wanna rent, you don't wanna buy. I know we don't usually like identify other crazy, like high scores.
Starting point is 00:45:16 I did not see an 87 out there today. Jenny Coleman, it sucks. 75, 74, 87, three doubles in a slew of other bogies. Some must be going on there. It just, it just really sticks out. And I hate it because all the people who look at, you know, scoring averages and stuff like that, that one's just throwing everything off. That's true. She's just making NASA look better. That's true. All right. Well, I say we play one of my favorite games. How far back is too far back tomorrow? Jordan, I'm going to put you on the spot first.
Starting point is 00:45:50 How far back is too far back? Hmm. I'd say if the win maintains itself, I don't think anyone outside of that plus one group really has a chance, truthfully. You're saying even is in it. Mm-hmm. Okay. Sorry. We're eliminating plus ones. Oh, no, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:46:09 We're eliminating the plus two's and the plus two and worse, no chance tomorrow. We can send them off spyglass, you know, we can, they can play with conduit. We did see a lot of players play in sight for this morning. In cybers, we saw a slew of other players who we just assumed this the cut and they also got a morning tea times out there when we're driving by which makes you think if you were standing over a putt to make the cut last night and you knew you had a cypress tea time if you missed also big ass first. It's a big it's a big person. I know but you're getting eight thousand
Starting point is 00:46:44 dollars no matter what everybody everybody showed up got eight thousand That's a big ass purse. It's a big purse. I know, but you're getting $8,000. No matter what, everybody showed up got $8,000. Randy, what do you think? I think truthfully, I hate to say this just because I don't. I think we'll see a good test tomorrow. I don't think we're gonna see carnage. I'm eliminating anybody even or worse. I think it's a six person race tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:47:09 The minus two or better. And I don't like that. I wish it weren't so. I hope I'm wrong. I'm going to say even just because I think, you know, Angel if she plays a perfect round of golf can go out and shoot 65. I don't think that. There's only one, you know, Nasa's at seven under if she shoots even tomorrow. She plays a perfect round of golf. Can go out and shoot 65. I don't think that.
Starting point is 00:47:25 There's only one, you know, NASA's it's seven under if she shoots even tomorrow. I do think as Cody said, if Angel shoots 65, we have to consider it's gonna be a playoff because I think Charlie's gonna shoot 65 to the back of the club. Well, you know, you can go out and bank some early, right? You go out, you know, you, you, you birdie or eagle, two, you know, birdie four,
Starting point is 00:47:48 birdie six, eagle six, or, you know, birdie seven, and it's like, cool, like you're, you're right there, and you just shrunk the, yeah, you cut the gap in half. Or you're at least putting pressure on people, you know, even if it's kind of, the first seven holes are always stereotypically the scoring holes out here at Pebble, but even throwing some red on the board and giving those leaders something to think about, I think, could play a factor. Cody? Yeah, I'll probably follow you there. I think I don't think I think even isn't.
Starting point is 00:48:24 I do see a possibility where we're one of those. We see a path forward. Yeah, we're one of them to go deep. And as Randy said, meaning both of them will go deep. But I honestly don't see like, you're asking an awful lot for NASA or Allison to shoot big, big numbers for the people who are like, well, what about Rose? That's what I was.
Starting point is 00:48:43 There is Rose. I know, I'm like, you're asking for a lot of people to just lay one out there. It would have to be apocalyptic weather. I don't think that's going to have models and not suggest. No, no, it's going to be windy. It's going to be pretty similar to what we saw today. Just kind of, you know, I will shout out teens low 20s. You guys mentioned the angel Charlie pairing the rose
Starting point is 00:49:07 Minji pairing Gabby paired with Leona, which is going to be a lot of fun. And honestly, Ayaka, foodway and my start pairing, I really love some of those groupings leading up to the final three groups. I assume they'll put Rose and Minji on feature group coverage. Please. Yeah, they'll be. They'll be them. Number one, amateurs, please. Yeah, they'd be dumb not to. Guys, can we talk just briefly? I don't know if it's hamster, damn, but I did just want to talk briefly about the broadcast coverage. We got back in mid afternoon. We were prepping for the live show. We were
Starting point is 00:49:47 watching the telecast on NBC. And there are like no commercials. It's wild. I mean, it's awesome. This, to me, this truly feels like what a major should feel like just in terms of broadcast appearances, the feel of the action right, seeing a lot of shots, not constantly being in commercials. Not feeling like you're banking all the commercials in the world just so you can get to the commercial free last hour. Right. That's what I would say is I would usually be like, well yes, this is a US open and this is the coverage that comes with the US open.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Unfortunately, this is not the way we felt at the men's United States. Or nor the way we felt at the KPMG. Well, that's different. I think Brandy, you had a very good, you know, you said some very spot on earlier today as like this should be the standard. This is what all other organizations who host professional tournaments should look at specifically majors in the women's game But then again a lot of this is due to Rolex and it's due for Cisco and it's due to all of it's due to like
Starting point is 00:50:53 You know how much money they're making on the men's For sure, that's a factor for sure But you know we've talked about But you know, we've talked about venues mattering and venues absolutely matter to bring eyeballs to the game and to the telecast But also the way it looks on TV and the way it's presented and not just being inundated with commercial loads and not having weird broadcast windows and chasing it from streaming to here to here, it just, that stuff really matters. And as I golfing on the same channel from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on NBC today, and it's Pebble Beach. Yeah. That's a pretty, that's pretty easy for the consumer to, to digest.
Starting point is 00:51:41 And without many commercial breaks, like, you're not tempted to surf and forget about it and not come back. And I just, you know, we rag on NBC, NBC broadcasts every women's major, and it's not just NBC, but like, they're the constant. So it's not like, I'm like, oh my God, NBC is stepped up their game. It's the USGA and it's their partners and it's Rolex,
Starting point is 00:52:04 quite honestly, like like no free ads But Rolex is playing a big part in why this is the way it is in Cisco and whoever else American Express And I just think it's really really important venues and broadcasts to get people to tune in and have an enjoyable experience Invested exactly and have an enjoyable experience. I invest it. Exactly. Andally that, but like overall production wise, it's felt a lot better, it sounded a lot better, and it's looked to hell a lot better. The drone shots have been amazing. Yeah, it's honestly, this tournament,
Starting point is 00:52:37 they're broadcasting this 10 times better than LACC look, and this is what we all thought was gonna look like, LAC was gonna be presented. And you guys are the drone operators, they're literally using a drone that we use. Yeah, right? Like it's, I think they've got a whole complement of them. But yeah, we do. I know earlier in the week, it was a lot of the DGM avarice or whatever, the Maverick pros. But it looks amazing. It's it's outside. The funny thing, I don't know if I've said this on a live show yet,
Starting point is 00:53:06 but these are birds. These birds are out here. They attack the drone. But they're so aggressive. Actually, yes, yeah, posted one on there. You don't say the bird is like attacking the drone in the shot. It's crazy. The problem is talking to the orcas out there.
Starting point is 00:53:23 It reminded me though of when we started this year on the men's side when Hawaii was presented so much better. And I understand this is completely different, but they used the drone, not only for high aerial shots, but they also had these super low on the ground, on Rose's T-ball the day, they literally used the drone to chase it. It was so cool.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Visually is stunning. And it's very easy literally use a drone to chase it. It was so cool. Yeah. Like, visually is stunning. And it's very easy to make things look good around here. What I will say is that there's still probably too many, like tower cams out there. And the towers are too high. You can do towers. They don't need to be so high.
Starting point is 00:54:01 DC was, I love it. It's such a good point. Why do we have to build them up 20 feet in the air? It just washes everything out below it and like you can't tell anything. Yeah, I know. Yeah, why do we need to be so high? I get it on certain holes where you need to have advantage and stuff, but there's other holes that you don't need that. And also one more thing, how are there some people out there today? It needs to be more beer trucks. Yeah. I'm not talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 00:54:25 I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 00:54:33 I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 00:54:41 I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. They're trying to get looped up. Exactly. Lots of long lines. Yeah. And hit up our hitters at the Great British Baking tent. Delicious flap checks. Leather Tards, the flap checks. They didn't have any hot tea though, which is, I feel like a miss. So let down.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Yeah. Quickly, I want to say, you know, going back to broadcast, venues matter, everything. It's the fact that like, a major championship of this type of prestige is finally getting its due. And whoever wins tomorrow, like, all of that is going to be documented so well. And I think that's really exciting. And it's just such a huge step forward. And like, I was walking around two days ago and I'm like the way that this is going to look on someone's resume like set up wise test wise and just the way that you have to play out here
Starting point is 00:55:30 is you know it's obviously going to be a great stamp on whoever's resume it lands on but also it's like we're going to have so much to look back on and historically like that's so encouraging. Hey man and it's going to create a legacy of like you know hopefully they're coming back to Pebble at some point for the women's open But they are they they have three of the books. Hey, they're you know It's like when we're talking about on the previous show 72 82 92 2000 2010, you know, that sort of thing or 2011 But like like knowing which year you associate those years with certain certain winners as well
Starting point is 00:56:06 So I would say to I hope I hope we get an iconic shot tomorrow, you know where it's it's in the balance and whether it be I Don't know early in the round even on seven or certainly down the stretch 17 18. I hope we get that iconic shot I think one of the cool the move 18 up. Yeah. The most refreshing things. I like the best showcase of the lady's skill this this week has been on seven. It's been fascinating to watch them hit that shot and like the number of great shots. They're so in control with those on both five and seven. It's been really, really impressive. Yeah. Like just feathery. I'll add two stats matter. It's been really, really impressive. Yeah, just feathery. Um, I'll add two stats matter. Yeah. Like today, I wouldn't have been able to tell you Nasa gained four shots over Alice
Starting point is 00:56:54 and Corpus on the Greens. Like that's, that was a big difference between them or that Allison, you know, struck the ball a lot better in her approach play than Nasa did. It just this stuff just it all helps. It all feeds off of each other and builds momentum. So again, Kurosu, USGA, I thought this has been a big, important, like, step. I'd love to see other organizations. I'm looking at you, PJ of America. I'm looking at you, of America. I'm looking at you PJ of America Follow suit
Starting point is 00:57:33 With that worst-case scenario winner Who tron anybody that could win tomorrow that would be a disaster for the game of golf? No, I mean, Jennifer Cup Joe's not walking through that door. Yeah, it's, you know, we're fine. Like it's not going to be a disaster. It's not like if Scotty Shuffle or the masters or something like that. Uh, that guy. No, I don't know. I think they're all like it, like it's not a spectacular leaderboard, but it's like high floor low ceiling kind of thing. Do you have a side they might not be household names or anything, but if you've watched anything the last three days these names stick out to you, their play is for sure.
Starting point is 00:58:17 For sure. No, I mean, of course, there is nothing that is a disaster out there. If, if H.K. him wins only like, she's my only concern just because I'm afraid that the price of beef might go up at the restaurant. Um, but that's it. Like everything else is going to be great. I'll say I echo in that like these aren't true disasters but G. A. Shin. I mean, I guess adding a third major would be cool. But just given her age and she doesn't play state side. It's not a lot of upside there. Yeah, it's not a winner that you're going to capitalize off of or that's going to really like capture imaginations. So, honestly, I think like she would be the worst case winner.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Hey, Ron Ruse, kind of in the same boat as well, like just my proxy of not really having a presence state side as well. Um, but hey, I'm, I'm sure they're wonderful people. No, for sure. For it's, it's, it's certainly nothing personal. But, uh, yeah, Code man, you want to give us a name or you're okay with anybody? Yeah. I mean, I think I kind of led, led the segment here with TC. I would say I was very serious about it. H.J. Oh, I think that kind of led the segment here with TC. I would say I was very serious about it. H.J. Oh, I don't think that could be the worst just because I'm looking out for my people. I also want to go back there and I'm afraid that I'm a spence.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Oh, I thought you were joking. It was a good joke. I thought you were joking. Yeah. I mean, who do you want me to say? Like, well, that's what I'm curious about. It's hard because there's not like a clear delineation between like this would be unbelievable for the game. And this would be a bummer.
Starting point is 00:59:45 It's kind of like, it's kind of varying levels of man, a little bit. I mean, the future of American sports. I think we might be understallin' the Bailey Tardy. And I don't think Bailey's like the future of American golf. Nor like I think Alice in Corpus is like, good, I don't think, nor do I think she's the future of American golf.
Starting point is 01:00:04 I think she's like. She American golf. I Think she's in contention for us on so I'm I know I know she's like a part of the thing She's a part of the conversation, but I don't think she's ever gonna move the She's going to be part of the solution. Okay. What's fair? That's fair. That's fair I'm continuing to stake my reputation. Yeah, we and I like that. We like that All right, let's get out of here. Everybody go around and pick a winner. You want me to start?
Starting point is 01:00:29 Start. All right. I, Cody, I apologize for the price of beef in Korea. But I'm going to take Hugh Jo Kim. I think I don't know why I'm so married to this theory of like you got to have Some bad play while you win a major and I think she had hers today. I think she's super solid I think she's experienced. I think she's cool under pressure
Starting point is 01:00:55 Give me her. Yeah, I agree with that. I think she is like the only one really that we know to that as I'm like true killer tendencies Like nothing really shakes her that much. And she's just like, gonna do her thing, make birdies, not make a ton of big numbers. I think we already saw that. And like she definitely would make sense to me, I think. Jordan, go ahead. To the surprise of probably no one.
Starting point is 01:01:22 I was gonna say it's gotta be, like it can only be one person, you can only be one person. It can only be one person. I'm like, you cannot pick anybody but Alison. No, I'm not. Oh, I mean, come on. Yeah, I mean, I'm going to stay on, uh, stay with Allison. Are you guys going to be a fifth or something?
Starting point is 01:01:39 Like, what is it? Is there a backstory here that you haven't told me? I have been covering Allison since she transitioned from the amateur to the professional game. So I've seen her game for years. And it's only gotten better. And when she turned professional, she was the seventh best amateur in the world.
Starting point is 01:01:58 And she's had the kind of trajectory I like where yeah, she kind of broke out very early. a kid had some success, but then she you know I ended up figuring it out in college. She got to college didn't didn't really quite have the conviction in her game But she ended up figuring it out and that's the trajectory. I like to see I think her ball striking has been great She's really just minimized a lot of mistakes out here this week. This really plays to her strengths um and she's learning how to contend. And I think Chevron was a big moment for her. And she learned a lot from that. And that's why I'm rolling Allison. Guys, Japan is sending playstations. Nasa, space, bitches, bars, red rocks. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:02:53 I like it. Hard to argue. Honestly, hard to argue with any of these picks. I do think it should be a great final day of golf. It might not be like the carn God, if anybody gets up to 10 more night, we'll talk, we'll talk some talk a little bit about Brennan Quinn's piece and the athletic. We'll talk. Listen, people are reaching I was will address that. Maybe some more Michelle Onica thoughts. Yeah. Just grotesque grotesque being. Not both of them. No, no, no, Michelle is delightful. Yeah. And then I think big Bob McIntyre, hopefully we're talking about a win from him
Starting point is 01:03:41 as well that they made it made in Himmurland. Dana's open. Any a final round of live preview you want to share? Is smash still still doing it? I don't know. Honestly, I don't know. The team still together? Yeah, I guess I guess.
Starting point is 01:03:54 I saw a lot of motivation. I guess Brooks reposted today by Brooks. Brooks was sub sub it's not sub tweeting was sub sub posting some stories. Some stories. And on the individual side, we have Cam Smith, Cam Smith doing work. So I can't get their individual leader board to load.
Starting point is 01:04:33 We'll work on that. And then hopefully they have another flash mob. I'm going to love the flash mobs. And you have to love the people defending the flash mobs after people calling out how to lame the flashmobbs words. Those are the greatest people. Well, yeah, they're special people. Not my doctor, but you know, they're special. Yeah, cam is minus 12 Thomas Peters, Mark Leachman, Louis Ustay's an all minus nine. P is one shot behind at minus eight.
Starting point is 01:05:00 And unfortunate news. I believe C1 came is once again, DFL in last place. Well, at least he's consistent. Anyway, TC, we did have a situation today. The comment section's been talking about it. I believe that there's somebody that we ran into out there on the course behind sixth green, Angelian, setting up to hit her chip.
Starting point is 01:05:24 And when people are talking in a crowd and the, you know, usually it's a caddy says, shush or even like a standard bear or something like that, this time it happened to be angel herself. Do you know what happened? No. Man, I think Randy, do you remember what happened? There was just a loud conversation going on. You know, it was, it was, it was up, the wind was carrying it towards the sixth green. And, you know, it just was unfortunate. Angel, you can't help but wonder how that affected Angel today.
Starting point is 01:05:56 We're not talking loud at all when Angel told you to quiet down. I didn't see her tell me. Tell me. She wasn't even over the ball. She was like nor was the chip from the other side. Right. No, it wasn't even like close at all. I think it was just because that's the general area that we were in.
Starting point is 01:06:14 People think that we're out there making a making a ruckus, but I thought it was pretty comical. It was comical. All right. I think I think we accomplished our mission, Sarge. Short, sweet, good show. I will say we're going live tomorrow, conclusion to play. Big show tomorrow. We got a lot to look at coverage. We're going wide, of course. We're going to lead with with women's open.
Starting point is 01:06:36 I will say NBC three to nine PM Eastern for the coverage, feature group coverage, U.S. women's open.com as well as through the app in the cock. I think on the cock as well We'll be getting started a little bit before that broadcast window. I would assume but check your local listings Randy's gonna get loaded in the tap room tonight. If you're around the tap room, I'm gonna go get loaded So we might pull her plunge tonight or maybe tomorrow morning. We'll see All right, Cody get us out of here. Cool. Cheers. Thanks everybody.
