I'm going to be the right club today.
Yes! That is better than most.
I'm not in.
That is better than most.
Better than most. and long it happened, it finally happened, hello, T.C. how are you? It's all great, great to be with you, especially on the, you know, your guy,
saw it, my guy saw it, my guy Foxy.
Our guys win in this weekend about that.
And our our guy Ludwig had a great week too, you know, we're not going to,
you're not going to dwell on the, on what happened on Sunday.
I think we can call that a great week as fellow Ludwig fans due to our true
stated, you know, June, just like the PGA tour and the Piff have a truce back in June.
You and I had a truce as well,
and we're gonna honor that truce.
Amen, amen.
I think Ludwig's probably ragged at this point.
He won last week and came out, you know,
firing and just ran out of gas, I think.
So.
It happens.
Tonight's episode is brought to you by our friends at title
list and the new title is T series irons we heard from T.C. and Rainy last week
about getting fit into their T series irons stay tuned later on.
We're going to hear from yours truly about how I know what I am in the title
list approach to fitting is built on three dimensions of iron performance
distance dispersion and descent angle finding the optimal balance of all three
will take your game to a whole new level of approach consistency. Head over
to Tiles.com to learn more and find a fitter or a fitting event near you. Listen, it wasn't
waste management. It wasn't in front of the entire golf world. It wasn't, I don't even
really even know if I should say in front of the entire sports world, a lot of the sports
world's focused on other things going on this weekend. But Sawhit Tagala gets it done in the only way that Sawhit was ever going to get it done.
He won a golf tournament.
Oh darn it.
He crossed the threshold.
He was negative stroke skate off the tee almost all week.
He must have barely crossed over.
0.02 stroke skate off the tee, but he's a PGA tour winner.
And I am just truly, truly, truly thrilled for one of the PGA tour good
guys. I know it's a very popular stance, but it's very real and I could not be more
jacked up.
Hey, man, he's, he's one of my favorite players. He's my son, Freddie's favorite player
ever since we met him at the John Deere and just one of the most personal, well-adjusted,
well-spoken and thoughtful guys out there. Couldn't be a happier forum and good course to do it on too. I feel like he, you know, it's just.
He's got a pretty complete game outside of the driver. If we could just get the driver going, it's holy shit. This guy's a generational predator.
Well, that's what makes this tournament weirdly fun every year. And I kind of forget it until like Saturday hits and I, you know,'re watching the ball roll on the ground and you're just kind of watching.
Yeah, it's got narrow fairways, but the rough is kind of down a little bit and the ball
is always bouncing.
It's always rolling.
The greens are really like, I think back to that 13th hole a lot, just how that green kind
of sits up into the left of that fairway.
And it's kind of a shorter par four that is just a unique challenge on the PGA tour when
you combine all the factors
that I just mentioned, especially the ball rolling out. It just seems to promote a kind
of free flowing style of play that man now that looking back, if we were still doing
our picks weekly, so I would have had to have been a popular pick this week. So count
it as a win. I know you're going to count this as a win for the fund anyways.
Well, get to the fund, but like it seems like they've introduced more short grass to this
course of the last few years as well, just with, you know, kind of up and around those
bunkers.
18 is a great example.
It'll trough between the left greenside bunker and the green.
There's just that little, you know, short grass swale in there.
A lot of those little things around there.
Listen, I don't think it's like a great golf course,
but I think it's like a really good tournament golf course.
And.
But it speaks to what?
Like some firmness and, and I know every,
every event wants to have firmness.
It's just, you know, yeah, it just work.
I agree it's not great.
I don't think it's like a brilliant design in any way,
but it really does work for this tournament.
And you're just going back to watching the Dart Fest
that was the PGA Tour, the FedEx Cup playoffs,
and then seeing this, give me this style of play.
I don't know if that's the most hipster possible thing
you can say, but maybe just because it feels
lower stakes to, this was, I don't know,
I really had fun watching this golf course.
And having proper length par-fives is really,
like watching dudes having to hit fairway woods and hybrids and figuring
out where to land it and where it's like position yourself around the greens is just a lot
more interesting than what I feel like we saw.
It's also super interesting when when the leader hits it into, you know, a bunker 275 yards
off the tee 20 yards left to the fairway on 13.
Like, I just like, what plan are we on, man?
The only place he couldn't hit that ball. I got a, I got a minute. You see, I'm a little worried about my guy, Merle. All right. He's my spiritual leader. He's my inspiration. Saw his dad.
You know, I'm an OG saw his dad guy. You know, I go way, way back. I think we can check the tape
on that one. But I'm worried about his exposure rate. He's on the blocky path. And I'm worried the
public might turn against him and we can't have that. That may have must be protected.
No, I feel like there's two different kinds of, of, of people. There's the, there's like
the sister Jean route, which is what blockie is taken. And then there's the Colorado buffs
Peggy route, which is I think what, what,
Merle is a real one. And listen, he was there for, for, for Allison Corpus'
US women's open victory at Pebble. I feel like this is a long time coming for Sa'dhath.
There's some pent up enthusiasm there where, I mean, even on like, like on six today,
he hit it off the planet right off the planet
And I'm like did like he's not gonna make this happen. He's he's gonna Eric coiled like country music sensation Eric Hall
It's gonna steal this from him
He's rising up the charts literally or stinky cam Davis or SH Kim or you know the pastor Troy Merritt
But you know, I don't know, I feel like it's
one of the good stories in golf.
And let's celebrate it.
Listen, if, if saw his wins number two or number three, and he's out there out in front,
you know, soaking up the camera, seeking out the camera, we can talk about Merle, but
until then,
let's celebrate the guy. Okay. Thank you. I needed to hear that from you. You are the ultimate
policeman of the of the thirst, the thirst meters and to hear you say that comforts me a great deal.
I will say just going back, I think saw if seriously, seriously endeared himself to a lot of people
with what went down at waist management, the bouncy got to lose that tournament, to put the emotion on display,
and just to like,
hey, you know, at a weird couple of years
of like trying to figure out what the hell professional golf is,
like watch it just means so much to one person,
and have his family there,
and like to see all that unfold again on the Netflix series,
and the hugs from the family to say,
I'm so proud of you,
and just to watch them go through the emotions,
the ups and downs of that round,
when like, man, I struggle sometimes when, you know,
watching, I don't know, Matt Kutcher in contention of a tournament, like, what the hell does
this mean to you? I don't struggle with that with saw it. They'd watch that all in display
here in the Tagalog years and everything in the crowd. And I've never heard one single,
one single person say a bad thing about this guy and I'm so thrilled,
very, very, very happy for him.
But God, the country, country, it's something, I don't know, if we ever taken that one public,
is that just a slack thing that we've done with country?
I think it's just a slack thing.
You know, Neil said it from the start, but saw it too, like with Hartford, was that last
year, two years ago?
Yeah.
Hartford.
Yeah.
It's crazy.
Like, you know, he hadn't won yet, came young, Like, you know, he, like he hadn't won yet, Cam Young hadn't won yet,
Cam Young still hasn't won yet, but,
yeah.
But just there's so much young town out there.
And when somebody really breaks through
the for their first win, it truly does mean something.
Even if it's in the new fall and we'll talk about that and all that.
But speaking of just, you know,
gold records and, and chart toppers and all that, Eric Cole moves
up from 68 actually from inside the top 50.
He can't even improve his status.
He's just, he's just there hoovering up billboard hits and, you know, CMA awards, even though
he's already earned everything.
I saw, it's been bothered me all year,
like who he looks like
and I have not been able to figure it out.
And today it hit me, that it's Thomas Levei.
And I tweeted that this afternoon,
and I realized it was, yeah.
I tweeted it and it was like during the,
the witching hour of the afternoon football game
I was like, nobody fucking cares.
Like, what are we doing here?
Like, nobody cares that air cold looks like Thomas Levei.
The fall series is a very weird, weird thing.
I think we should try to clarify.
If DJ was in our slack today trying to figure out
what the fall series is, I'm guessing there's listeners
that are maybe a little bit confused on this
to check me if I get any of this wrong TC.
Top 50 from last year's FedEx Cup are fully exempt,
obviously for next year,
and are in all the signature events
and in everything for next year, and are in all the signature events and in everything for next year,
not necessarily majors.
You're just truly like they are in the little cube thing.
And the dollar bills are floating around,
and they're just grabbing the dollar bills.
That's exactly what Eric Cole and Cam Davis and Mac,
I mean, I, listen, I know Max was defending today,
and even Saith, Sa it was in the top 50.
I think he made it to, uh, uh, East Lake.
We'll get there. Hey, we'll get, we'll get to, he was one spot out of making it to East Lake.
But we'll get, we'll get there.
But so, but you, if you're inside the top 50, you can play all the fall series you want.
You are playing for the money in those events and that is it.
There are no fadx cup, the pride.
But you can't even, you know, you can't even pretend like it. There are no FedEx cup the pride. But you can't
even, you know, you can't even pretend like you're playing for the FedEx cup points because
there's no FedEx cup points to be awarded for 2024 this fall. That is new this year. So
you are straight up playing for the exemptions you can earn, which is it saw his wins, you
know, gets an extension another two year exemption for winning this tournament. And he, you know,
he but he does not improve his position in the top 50. If you are in finishing the top 70 last year, you are also a fully exempt member and you're
not playing for status anymore.
However, if you are anyone from 51 or above, you are playing for the top 10 spots 51 through
60 will get into the first two signature events.
So there's like a seven event run for 10 guys, not already qualified,
the signature events to get in through those spots.
All right, that's one thing.
So that's really,
so the 51 through 70 are only playing for that
plus the money in the tournaments.
71 through everyone else is battling out
with your current FedEx cup points still from the past season,
battling it out to figure out your status
and the 125 will end at the end, the one 25 will end
at the end of this fall series.
And that is it.
And if you have top on 25 fully exempt member get into all full field events for next year
and the players.
That is how I understand it.
Do I have it right?
You do have it right.
And listen, I think it's an improvement over the previous iteration where like the season
was too long.
You're forcing these guys to teat up in the fall and
otherwise there's this just year anxiety underlying where they feel like they're losing ground
if they actually take time to hang out with their families in September and October and November.
But it's also convoluted as hell and And it's like true PGA tour fashion.
It's like, hey, listen, we've probably made
the right decision here versus what the status quo was.
We've messaged it extremely poorly, like impossibly poorly.
And here we are, right?
We're trying to figure it out.
And even some tour pros don't even know what
to think. Can we get to, can we do that now? You would do that now. Oh, that's the highlight
of the week, right? I know you're chomping at the bit. I put this in the agenda under Jimmy
Walker. Fuck yeah. This is this made my day. Adam shoe pack at golf week had an article
getting some quotes from Jimmy Walker. I believe this was on Friday. Big tech. He said
he's Jimmy, big tech said, quote,
they changed the rules.
It's been 125 forever.
Then it's like, no, it's 50 or is it 70?
It's definitely not 125.
It's total bullshit.
That's what I think of it.
I've been working for 11 months to finish 124.
And it's like, nope, keep playing.
So I'm going to give it all I've got.
That's all I can do.
All right, so I'm going to give it all I've got. That's all I can do. All right. So I'm going to pause just right there.
Is he trying to convince us that he just found out that the fall series is where you determine
your top one 25 because that part has been known for a very long time. And you may disagree
with some of the messaging. I don't even, I don't really even know where to go with that.
It was announced a long time ago that this was going to be the case. And he is totally,
totally and completely playing dumb, playing it up to the media, throwing
some pity party that I have absolutely no time for.
It is a total loss of comprehension of the big picture at all, only looking at what's
right in front of you and just whining that, oh, I was 124 now in the past years.
I'd be great right now, even though it had been well announced long before this, you are
going to be playing through the fall for your status.
Sally, Jimmy Walker's mad as hell.
And he wants everybody to know about it.
All right.
And I'll let you keep reading because I think it gets better and better.
Also, keep in mind, Jimmy had two falls.
Yes.
Two, two, three, two, three, two, three.
I hear this and all of that.
And, you know, many Sundays out there and all that.
It's, Jimmy, it's like, listen, I get it that, here's some Burgess and the tour.
They probably didn't tell everybody, like I've talked to players and they're like,
I'm, I'm 80th or I'm 90th on the, on the list.
I don't know if I should tee it up or not, am I getting in a Zozo or whatever.
Like there's been not a whole lot of leadership from the front on the tour of vision.
But at the end of the day,
they did message this 18 to 24 months ago.
Yeah, long time ago.
And so just again, to put it into perspective
on what we're talking about, Jimmy Walker's career,
it's the same article a year ago, Walker shut down
the season after the Valero Texas Open
is hometown of N and age 43, the former PJ Cham
Jim winner contemplated calling it a career.
But then enough players jump ship to live that Walker climbed into the top 50 in career earnings
on the tour, which gave him access to a one time exemption for the 2022 to 23 season.
So we already that's the J. Henry exemption.
But no, J. J. Henry's the 300 cuts.
300 cuts.
You admit to the 300 club.
But he already, just because guys with to live
is on the PGA tour.
That's the other reason he's still in there.
So then he continues, I can't tell you how many people
texted me saying, congrats on making the 125.
I'm like, no man, it's different.
I had to explain.
They've done such a bad job communicating
what is happening partly because I don't think
they knew what was happening honestly.
It's been one way forever, living the Saudis happening.
A lot of things change and everybody freaks out and we sign an agreement that stops litigation.
I don't know what's going on.
They're talking about a big payoff for the players that have stayed.
All of it is blowing my mind.
The tour is doing everything they can to take care of themselves and not the players.
I'm just out here grinding it, giving all I've got.
I've given them 20 some odd years out here, you know
Jimmy you're giving them 20 some odd years and they've given you like 25 million dollars
I Love all this like they're only trying to take care of themselves and not the players as if it's not the tours
I we're not gonna go down that that whole route today, but but some of it too is also like
What you were saying earlier Sally like top 125, you still have a card. You're still going to
tee it up 20 plus times next year. It may not be there may be one or two or three events
that you don't get to play in. And as always, as with all of this stuff that has changed,
you know what the answer to a lot of these questions is T.C. It's two words. You know
what those two words are? Play better. It would have happened very, it would happen easily for a few to play better. He continued,
I'm back because of live. And then it was like we got to change everything. We got a pump
more money to the pip to keep our guys, make all these elevated events. I'm not going to
get to play Pebble Beach next year. I feel that's always had 180 players. And I'm a past
champion. I said to Jay, what if San Antonio was an elevated event? You're going to tell
me if I, if you're going to tell me I live there, I've done, I don't know how many pressers for you guys and everything
you've asked me to do. And I can't play my hometown event. That's really bass acquards
right now. You know what's bass acquards? Ficky that Jimmy Walker matters in this scenario
at all. Like imagine honing in on 44 year old, 124th guy on the list and making decisions about your sporting tour
based on this guy's opinion.
Like this is the epitome of the tour pro that can look only directly in front of himself
at what it directly applies to him, see none of the big picture and just don't go public
with any of these thoughts that you're having because you're only going to look very, very
stupid.
Listen, I'm taking receipts, Sally.
I tried to call big texts's back guy years ago.
Nobody was having it.
What?
I think we've all been on this page.
Peter Bonnotti, Chideon, of course,
people are gonna say that, but we're making changes.
Things have to change, whether they are better or not.
You can argue that, but that is the way it is.
I've never once thought I should have my card locked up.
We all knew going into the season that it was going to be 125 after C Island and not
when the cool thing is, yes, I'm playing to earn my tour card for next season, but I get
six opportunities to qualify for Maui.
I see it as opportunity.
I agree.
Yeah.
About Peter Maunotti turning into a really solid thinker on a lot of this stuff as the,
how about Jimmy Walker being like
the 12th guy on an NBA bench.
He's like smush parker pissed because he can't catch on with the pistons.
But how many pressers has he done?
DC haven't even.
Oh, like it's exhausting, man.
I mean, what if San Antonio was an elevated event?
That's what it's man. I mean, what if San Antonio was an elevated event? That's what I don't know.
That's the whole history of golf could be changed on that question. It's like, what if
this Simmons bank opened on the corner fairy tower was a major this week? Like, it might
be, if it might be for next year. I mean, everything's changing. I mean, who knows?
The pace they're going right now, TC. I don't know. It might be a major next year.
That's where my put his foot down.
Say, Hey, we're going to the grove next year for the PGA.
Last thing I have for Fortinet, I know you're chomping at the bit to be mw PGA
championship. Um, there's a lot.
I bet people are going to ask for apologies from you, but I don't know if I'm going to do that.
Justin Thomas finishes solo fifth at the Fortinet this week.
What's your reaction to that as we are two weeks out from Ryder Cup?
Yeah. Listen.
So a lot of people are talking about 38 on the front nine today, concerned about that.
You know, not talking about it's 34 on the back nine.
No, I think good week for Justin.
Listen, I like, I was probably a doubter.
I'll apologize.
The whole like boys club things gone too far.
Like at some point, just put your PC, put your fucking best 12 players out there.
And I think Justin Thomas is probably one of the best 12 players.
I would put him out there ahead of Sam Burns.
I probably would have had Cam Young on the team as well.
But I don't know, JT showed up played well as did the rest of the Euro team at the,
you know, at a went worth.
But JT did what he was supposed to do went out and, you know, it's clear that he's fine
in some form. So I have prepared remarks for this. You know, I was prepared to defend it,
even if he didn't play well to say like, Hey, it still doesn't matter. And I'll say the
same now that he did play well. Like, dude, it doesn't matter. Like he was picked to play
well in Rome, right? He was picked because they think he's one of the, the 12 guys that gives him the best chance
to win there. It's not because. Yeah, it's not like him breaching anything this week.
It's, but it doesn't, but I do think it's a sign. It's a good sign. Like it's obviously
a good sign. Same for all the European guys that are playing good golf, but like, I don't
know, 2018 changed me forever. Like, dude, the US team could not have come in hotter
into Paris. And they didn't get to double digit points.
Like, just playing great golf leading up into the rider cup does not mean you're going to
go over and when the rider cup doesn't mean you're going to play well in the rider cup.
It just, it just doesn't.
When those, when the balls go in the air, it is a totally different question that you're
asked and anything can happen in there.
But you want the 12 guys that are going to give you the best chance to win.
They thought JT was several weeks ago. He certainly looks that way. Now I was really
trying to challenge people on this six weeks ago or maybe maybe not in that far to be like,
Hey, I promise you like two weeks out before Rome. It's going to feel really weird to have
Lucas Glover on the Ryder Cup team, right? Like imagine that right now. If they didn't
play this week, he's probably exhausted. He probably is, but like, it was a heat of the moment thing that a lot of people got
cut up, cut up in and I, I don't know, it's a little bit valid.
He could still go one and four and it still could look like a very, very, very wrong decision.
That has not been decided yet.
So there'll be no gloating for me at this moment, but I just, it's just to say like that,
that pick is starting to make a lot more sense down.
And hopefully people are at least starting to understand that.
Why isn't Jimmy Walker on the Ryder Cup team?
I mean, he's given him 20, 20 plus years.
If the tour would have communicated it better.
And if you've done a few more pressors, you might have made it max, home, a T seven and
a valiant double going for the time of Mansky back to back to back, fortnight championships
did not happen.
It would have been the first guy to do that
since Stricker, right?
You John the year three times.
Yeah.
It's a very, very cool to see Troy Merritt,
the pastor up there,
final round 65, moves up inside the top 125, 118.
Coocher.
Just, you know, Coocher and Napa feels it feels like a natural fit, right?
What do you, what are you, what are you getting out of this, Matt?
Like, what do we play, what are we playing for here?
He's probably just hanging out with Thomas Keller all week going to the French laundry
and, you know, doing that sort of thing.
I'm trying to think who else is down the board.
My guy Carson Young, T19, who's from 111 to one of three. Like, I do think there is some intrigue with some of the jockeying here and there.
So I'll say the same thing we say every fall.
This is optional golf for golf fans.
I think you don't need to watch.
Maybe if you want to tune into our show and get caught up on things, we would love that.
Definitely.
It's not going to be messy.
It is for the hardcore fans only to, if you care about who shuffles in, who shuffles out. A lot of people have pretended to care
about that over the last couple of years of, you know, getting really upset about changes.
Or you need it. Yeah. Or, or, or like the cut cam. Like, listen, I promise you that 80%
of the people that are clamoring for them to show the cut on Friday afternoon, don't
give a fucking arc. You're not watching golf on Friday afternoon. You're just not.
But listen, we're going to keep bringing the content for the, for the hardcore fans,
of course.
But yeah, I mean, it's even, it's the weirdest year to try to figure out what these
wins mean, right?
It was, it was always weird with the wrap around, but you know, it's kind of back to
probably how things should be.
I'm in support of how they're doing this.
I think come January, we're going to be as rejuvenated as possible for a fresh start of,
God, I can't even bring myself to say it seriously,
a FedEx Cup season, but I think like for the first time,
we're not gonna be exhausted by the time
it's towards shape, it chipped rolls around.
It's a pretty tour season, right?
It's, it's, and it's also, it's something where,
being in the top 50, the top 70 means something.
We're just, we're tightening it up.
And these other guys still have opportunities and they still have job security and all that.
If you're inside the top 125 and there's still these other layers, we're not taking that away from
anybody. Like I'm still I'm psyched to see Robbie Shelton, you know, try to climb up inside that
top 70 or I'm, you know, I'm psyched to see Tyson Alexander try to stay inside the top 125. But I can't more about who's inside the top 50 of the top 70 or I'm, you know, I'm psyched to see Tyson Alexander try to stay inside the top
125, but I care more about who's inside the top 50 to top 70, right?
Yeah.
I think a lot of people will, but there's, yeah, there's some, there's going to be some
fun stuff to follow this fall, I think.
So speaking of which, Sally, Jimmy Walker went from one 24th to one 21 this week, T 30.
He's going to prove that he's not this week.
Exactly.
I don't know if he got those parts. If those points came from doing pressers or the interview that he did
after on Friday, if that, if that's what helped his scenario, I will say James Han finished
one shop behind him at minus six T 45 and dropped from one 64th to one 65th, the FedEx
Cup. I hate that for him.
Yeah, a lot of golf left.
And it's actually not a lot of golf left,
but I know you wanna get to BMW.
I'm excited to get there as well.
Before we do that, you all know Robac,
these guys understand quality,
only one way to describe it.
Best fit, best feel.
We are coming to an end of summer,
but you can still be rocking their performance polos.
They just hit different.
I wear them out around town all the time.
They got classic stars and stripes models.
They got all kinds of fantastic designs.
They got four way stretch and moisture wicking fabric.
They get you through a warm summer or fall day on the golf course.
The performance hoodies, stretchiest softest hoodies and golf posted, I posted back to back days.
TC cuddling up with the baby in bed.
Got like 50 messages from people like, Hey, you weren't lying.
You wear a different rowback hoodie in bed every single day.
Of course, I'm not lying here.
No, that was not a activation.
That was not a promotion.
You're activating the baby.
Come on.
That was all authentic content right there.
We cannot take them off is the best way to start your day in a rowback hoodie.
The performance Q-Zips are a gain change.
We are almost in Q-Zips season down here in the fall. Nothing rocks, nothing beats rocking a rowback QZip from
an early round of golf. They're soft and stretchy, comfortable. We cannot take them off.
Cannot go anywhere without spying the subtle dog logo or the two stripe ridge in the back.
You can use code NLU at rowback.com for generous 20% off your first order. Who the end of this
week? That's R H O B A C K dot com 20% off.
Pull those Q Zips.
Who'd ease in more with code N L U T C.
Take me back across the pond.
And I say that to say, I can't believe you didn't go across the pond.
We have Ludwig and Tommy Fleetwood at the top of leader board on Saturday night,
leading into the final round of what you are calling a BDE.
And we did the entire Ryder Cup squad
for the European side was there. Tying it up made the cut by the way. It's like a spring game.
Yeah, I agree. Yeah, you know, inner squad scrimmage basically. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. Or even maybe
I've maybe like maybe like week two of, you know, Louisiana, Monroe, or Ferris State or something like that.
Yeah. So Ludwig goes out, everybody's just hootin' in a hollerin' about Ludwig, which,
you know, I'm Don Hootin' in a hollerin' about Ludwig. We're not even trying to win this week,
all right? He won last week. He's proven himself.
We're trying to prepare for the Ryder Cup next week.
And we got a week off.
Real talk, the guys got to be exhausted.
Like graduate, or leaves college,
it goes from NCAA's, turns pro, plays,
I would say what, seven of, like seven of nine weeks or eight of
10 weeks on the PGA tour, and then comes over to Europe, plays Czech, plays Switzerland,
wins in Switzerland, and then comes over here and leads, went worth for two or three days,
and just didn't play well today on Sunday.
And, you know, I don't think there's anything
to be clean from it.
That was probably the worst ground he's played this year.
Like, he's had some bad Saturday finishes
or Saturday results.
He kind of put the Saturday thing to bed yesterday
and last week.
And then, you know, I don't think the moment
was too big for him.
He was paired with Rory and Hovlin the first two days and balled out.
It's I think he's just fucking exhausted and he just needs to reset for a few days.
It was really good to get like a glimpse into, oh, okay.
That's that's like the ceiling.
There were, I mean, that's probably not even the ceiling, but that's what we've been waiting
for.
I mean, he drives it like that every week, right?
He just absolutely splits almost every fairway in his long.
But the iron plate in the wedge is in the back.
Getting into the hole has not been great,
but his floor is just so frickin high
with how well he drives it that it's,
he's still already a world class player
without doing the rest of it very good.
And to like get true glimpses into solid mid-iron play,
solid wedge play, putting really well,
scrambling really well, scrambling
really well for that period of time was jarring. It was, it kind of looked like, what, like
the hovelin leap that took like two and a half years, it looked like Ludwig did it in
like a month of, you know, truly getting to that next level. I don't think you need to
apologize at all. And I'm not just saying this for our bid at all for, for that Sunday
round.
I feel like we've suspended the bid at this point, right?
I regrettably, I think we went too far.
The bid went too far.
You know, it got thrown out of court, but you know, we're, we're, we're move past all
that.
We're re-honoring the treaty and to say, okay, he finished 10th this week.
It's his first year of playing professional golf.
Even if he has a bit on the older side, TC, I hope you'll let me acknowledge that.
I think it's a, you know, it's obviously a great development for a bed.
There will be no sparring over this performance this week.
He was solo leader with like two doubles on the card for what he was on Thursday, five
birdies in a row on the back nine and then birdies 18.
He makes birdies and bunches.
He's not afraid to go out and make four, five, six birdies in a row.
Yeah, just didn't get off the bus today.
But that seems like a match play.
God.
Right?
I mean, it seems like he's going to be paired up with Hovelin
and like in in four sums or four ball.
And they're going to just completely like conquer people's souls.
That's kind of awesome that way right now.
We awesome.
It is a totally different moment.
I'm still anxious to see how all that goes.
You know, it's, I don't know.
I don't know what to take away from it other than he is
a freaking really good player and is elevating
very, very, very quickly.
And yeah, but I mean, if he's gonna be your guy,
I'm gonna, you know, maybe he should lead with your guy, Foxy, right?
I mean, we went straight to the 10th place guy.
I was hoping he'd speak up in terms of, you know,
one to talk about who won the tournament.
Ryan Fox wins it at 18 under over Tearle Haddon
and Aaron Rye who finished at 17 under and won back.
Yeah, Foxy made a triple on his third holder day
and then plays the rest of the round.
What was that eight under? He was three over through three, three over through five and then goes eight under from six to 18 to shoot 67 today and
I don't know, I'm just really impressive. I feel like Foxy hasn't gotten a look that he probably
deserves. He's kind of a saw it, guys. He's not really like, he's kind of an iron player.
It doesn't really, like, he's not a dominant driver of the golf ball.
Not a sexy, uh, presidents cup, picker and like that kind of got passed over there.
And I feel like this is Foxy's revenge a little bit.
So I feel like, I mean, he's a long driver of the golf ball.
I love that accurate, but I mean, he's a, he's a gainer off the tee, right? He's, and I don't think he, I mean, the numbers, I mean, I's a long driver of the golf ball. You know, that accurate, but I mean, he's a gainer off the tee, right?
He's and I don't think he, I mean, the numbers, I mean, I don't have anything to back this up,
but to say like it feels like he doesn't hit driver a ton just because he is so long.
I mean, he absolutely pounds on the ball.
He had a really good summer last summer and really faded going into the fall.
And there was a lot of spot like I still don't fall to Trevor for not taking about that of that
at a national team. They went down to like 16 or 17th guy after all the guys left for
live. And if you weren't in that in that mode, but man, I mean, enormous win. His family
was there to watch that. And it was I saw Tate golf and said he was like under he was
a 0.2% chance of winning. It's after his triple bogey at one point today. And he was a negative
course fit for Wentworth, like how unlikely it was that he was going to go. It's not. Yeah, that's not a good spot for him.
Like pound out eight birdies coming into that to come back and win the tournament was that was
delightful viewing. I watched, casually watched a lot of that tournament this week. I enjoyed,
I mean, gosh, it was a, I wish, listen, it doesn't tie in to like 99% of what we've talked about in the golf world
this year.
This next statement I'm going to say, but I wish there was more European tour golf that
looked like that of a bunch of a bunch of people playing in the event and we could watch
it in the morning over here.
But again, it's speak that's directly in conflict with so much of what I think is about
that.
Well, tour.
Well, it's for right.
I mean, like, so just going down a leaderboard, because this is, I'm going down a leaderboard.
And these are the names that I'm going to read.
Ryan Fox, Aaron Rye, Hatton, Ram, Hoveland, Fleetwood, Shinkwinn, Scott, Mackle Roy, and
O'Bare.
And that's, I mean, that's, that's a solid, solid top 10 there.
And then you got Sep, you've got Min Woo, you got Tom Hogi was over there for some
brazen, Uncle Yost, you got Tom Kim, Billy Horsholt, Shane Lowry, Vincent Norman, who's
playing great golf, Matt Fitzpatrick.
Like, there's, it was a really, really strong top of the leaderboard this week.
And listen, went worse not my favorite course. The pace of play seemed absolutely abysmal.
Like there were three groups on some holes at certain points on Friday and Saturday.
I think the 17th and 18th holes seemed like kind of a disaster. But in like as a viewer,
I don't really mind it because they're almost so bad they're good. I don't know, it's just a weird tournament. I'm really next year,
one of my goals is to get over for Wentworth. I think it's it's just perfect time of the year.
I know next year it'll probably be a little bit diminished because there's no rider cup.
But I think in like that's something to file all I in, you know, it'll probably look totally
different for a bare manor in 27.
But when there's our European rider cup,
this is like a very important tournament.
Yeah, that style of golf in that area of the world
is, I've said this many times,
probably my favorite in the world.
Like, you know, heathlin style golf,
like the blend of Parkland and lengths without getting beat up
by the wind and the cool quaint properties with the trees
and the heather and all the stuff that goes in there is like my favorite. Wentworth is
like a tournament version of that and it kind of works like it's fine. It just has
too many soft qualities, right? I mean, I know they got some rain this week and
it's not quite the same style of play as some of the really great courses like
Walton Heat that we just saw on the women's AEG women's open and things like
that, but it's it's fine. I don't have any problems with Wentworth. It just doesn't do a
whole lot for me in the same vein, but which is fine. Yeah, it's basically like nice coffee
golf to wake up to. Yeah, there's a bunch of good guys and and it's a well-produced event as far
TV. They really, really trot out like a bunch of cameras and a proper production
quality for it. Huge crowds out there too. I mean, that was, that energy kind of, it
really did shine through them. And they stuck around through the rain today. That was
some really impressive stuff. But, um, yes, European rider cup dominance, do we take anything
from that as we are two weeks out from Rome? First and foremost, I think Rory made the cut on the number, barely made the cut, and
then almost one.
And I think coming off of the injury stuff, the injury concerns with the back or the rib
or whatever it is, we're full steam ahead with Rory.
Nobody is more disappointed with Tommy than Tommy today.
But me and Finna were disappointed with Tommy as well.
We got to do better than 72 today.
Kind of a slow, slow burn on the front nine.
Finish strong, but we got to do better than 72.
Tommy finished four shots back, but you know, again, solo sixth. I don't know. It's Victor
finished fifth. Rom finished solo fourth. Hatton finished tied for second. I'm feeling
good, man. I think everybody's, they're kind of like I would almost rather these guys not
win this week to kind of conserve their energy and they're kind of like, I would almost rather these guys not win this week
to kind of conserve their energy
and they're kind of in the mix.
There's a ton.
There's a ton.
You got, you got, you got,
Shane finished T18, Vincent Norman's on our bench.
We all know that.
Matt Fitzpatrick T18 as well, Alex Bjork,
he's on our bench, Marcus Helga Guild, he's on our
bench. Maronke played really well. I thought Maronke was going to go out and win this thing and just
you know, poke Luke Donald in the eye and say, fuck you man. I kind of slowed down.
73-72 on the weekend, but he finished his T28. Overall, European team played. Well, even the captain, Luke Donald, making the cut finish in T 36,
team Rose, T 36, Bob McIntyre. I'm a little concerned about Bob at this point. I'll be honest.
We're nickel. I finish. I know he had a good bounce back on Friday. I watch him play a lot on Thursday.
Yeah. Nick Yves is all over the place. 76 67 73 72. Like you said, like this is probably negative course fit for him.
So I'm not too, too wrapped up in it.
Again, and I've been to Marco Simone
and I've watched these guys play golf
and I still can't figure out what the course fit is.
But if went worth as a negative course fit,
I would think Marco Simone is too.
Yet I also think the Europeans are extremely qualified
to figure out a team that is a really good
course fit.
So I can't explain to you why Nikolai would be good for Rome, but I'm guessing he will
be.
And I just will need somebody to explain that to me.
It seemed like Jamie, your boy Jamie Weir, I think he thought there was a Ryder Cup point
on the line this week.
I think if Europe got enough guys in the top 10 and they were going to start the Ryder
Cup up 1-0 from what it sounds like on his Twitter. So yeah, listen, that's that's still to be determined.
There could be a cabins agreement of some sort.
So you tell me, you know, I mean, this is not fair.
He's not here.
I'm sorry.
I know you're driving into work right now, Jamie.
We got we got, you know, Yannick Paul made the cut.
We got all right, T.C.
Let's move on.
Let's move on.
Alex Fitzpatrick made the cut Sebastian Soderberg. Like we got de Paul made the cut. We got, all right, T.C. Let's move on. We got Alex Fitzpatrick made the cut, Sebastian Soderberg.
Like we got dept out the ass.
That was what you guys were concerned about.
I didn't want to say this.
You see, you're all, they're only playing against the Europeans, right?
Like of course they're going to finish.
There's going to be Europeans finishing near the top of this.
No matter what happens here.
Oh, he's there.
He's there.
He's there.
Okay.
Top Kim too.
Thomas D.T.
He was, like he's on our bench.
He's European.
I know, but he's kind of a leaderboard
who's always gonna look this way.
So I don't know.
Graduates of that.
I did see practice round groups for Europe
at Marcos Tumonius past week
where Rory Ludwig, Hovlin Fleetwood,
again, they could be Europe could be trying
to throw some curve balls at the US or I don't know what it would be the second one was
Lowry Rose Mac and Tire Stracca
And then last one was Ram Hatton Fitzpatrick and Hoigard take from that what you will on on pairings and things like that that second one is not putting too much fear into people
I don't think it's not
The first one just like shut it. Like we're one in every point.
Can we go back to Hatten? Is he get a pass because he's English on the uncontrollable amount of
whining? I mean, it is out of control. Like people think JT is whining and he is.
I mean, it is out of control. Like people think JT is whiny and he is.
Hatton is JT times 10.
And I don't understand why he does a catch more flag for it,
because it is really starting to wear me down.
I know you got spent some time with them
at the BMW this year in the US, but man, it's killing me.
I know it's a coping mechanism.
I've heard all the excuses,
but it's harder and harder to root for Hatton.
Listen, I'll agree. He's got to tighten it up a little bit. I get the coping mechanism or venting or
kind of keeping it off of himself. I was actually texting with with Pear, my Swedish uncle today. He's like, Hatton, he's like, he's not good like you can't support this guy. It's a bad
move for you. I'm like, I'm getting there too. It's just, I don't know. I feel like it's
like sports psychology stuff. He finished T2 this week and I don't feel like he blames stuff
on the course and other stuff, but he also he's very hard on himself, which is not fun to watch
also though. Like it's just not something. But also like some of the stuff that, but he's very hard on himself, which is not fun to watch also though.
Like it's just not something. Totally, but also like some of the stuff that like when he's
blaming the course, that's almost like him taking the blame off of himself and finding something
else. I think he's just extremely hard on himself. And I'm not saying that's easy to watch or
anything like that. I'm not even defending him. I'm just saying that's why he does it. And it's
almost like he's successful in spite of himself.
Right?
Talking about European tour rider cup,
some disturbing,
disturbing developments on the European tour social front,
losing a lot of goodwill built up over decades and decades
of time here, but,
you mean, you want to say on the DJ Khalif front?
Yeah, it's kind of a mixed bag, right?
We've got the DJ Khaled thing,
which I was shocked. I was not shocked
to see him on Ryder Cup socials. I would have certainly thought that he would have been
on with, you know, ZJ and JT and things of that nature. TTC, I offered up the prepared remarks
I had ready to defend the DJ Khaled involvement.
What are you going to say?
I'm looking at, listen, we were, you know, I don't know.
Who cares about the media cycle?
Like, it's all big hype fest.
Like, who cares?
Let's just focus on the 12 players on the, I don't know what I was going to say, but of
course, I was going to defend it if it was the US, but I'm very happy to be on this
side of it.
So Luke Donald, hopped on with DJ Khaled, Graham, hate that.
And then on the other hand,
we had the US Ryder Cup team on their visit
to Marco Simone.
They went out and they were bitching about,
they were bitching about the rough.
And this was, they were showing the rough
on like a 320 yard par four.
150 yards out from the three.
I don't know if you've gotten one fact right yet on this TC, right? Or it's like a 360 yard par four hundred yards out. I don't know if you've gotten one fact right yet on this
TC, right? It's like a 360 year par four. They were not bitching about the rough. They
posted a video showing when you drop a ball in the rough. Yes, it was on a whole. Oh,
they weren't bitching about it. They were just dropping a ball. No complaints. It's
it. And it's criminally 150 yards from the green. They were showing off the one of the
wonderful features of Marcocos Samona.
You tell me, T.C., is that a wonderful feature or something that was, it was, it should
be brought up as a bit of a...
Sorry, we don't even know if it's a feature or not because we don't know how they're going
to prepare the golf course yet.
The thing was, it was like a pasture and they're, they're cutting certain things down and
certain things.
Do we know that?
We don't know that yet either.
Listen, it'd be one thing if there was not horrific rough like that all over the golf
course and they posted something way out of context.
The blank case.
That was showing, you know, I'm sure somebody running socials that didn't know what they
were doing in terms of design or didn't think that there'd be sleuths online trying to figure
out exactly where this was.
This rough is on like every single hole, right?
They could have picked any hole to do it.
The fact that they picked the wrong one doesn't change that there is like they did pick the wrong one.
We're not going to give them a pass on that.
She go right ahead, but I'm not going to give Europe a pass on setting up the golf course the way that I think they're.
We don't know how they've set it up yet.
Dodo and Luke and Thomas Bjorn.
They're playing chess right now.
They're so far in your head.
You have no idea where the rough is going to be and where the rough is going to be.
I think we'll probably figure it out before the first match, but
Yeah, but it's going to it's going to put a it's going to put a wrench into your your preparation.
You're right.
I really don't think so, but yeah, sure. I mean, maybe Europe's running a extreme playbook of
Yeah, sure. I mean, maybe Europe's running a extreme playbook of making the US pick all the wrong team and then shaping the rough down on the night before, which would be
shady by even their standards.
Yeah, but even like Zander will have not seen it before. Can't lay will have not seen it
before. You know, they're we got we got a fear. They're worried about 99 at Brookline. We're on the shirt.
I think you're worried about 99 at Brookline, but I don't know. Part of me thinks the Monday practice
round, the Tuesday practice round, the Wednesday practice round and the Thursday practice round will
be enough practice around, pretty enough practice for Zayda Duriketlay. That's assuming they don't
get over before the weekend and also get out there.
So not worried about them not seeing the golf course.
When are you getting to Rome?
I'm arriving Wednesday morning,
flying Tuesday night.
You learned to whistling.
I went to whistling too early last year.
That was too much time.
Phil and sorry, excuse me, Randy and Cody,
flying over to Spain as we speak.
They're gonna be in Spain one day.. They're going to be in Spain one day.
There might be more to do in Spain than there is like up in Kenosia, Wisconsin.
So I don't, I don't fault them at all for getting over there early.
That's, that's, that's a solid move.
I would, I would go hang around Spain for a little while.
They're just going to go eat, eat, eat, uh, topus and play, play Valorama for a few days.
I would hope so. If I did not have a newborn at home, I would be extending my
room trip. It's been a little bit of bonus time out there. But, uh, yeah, uh, France was
incredible. That was the best part. I made a 10 day trip out of France. That was the,
the stuff around it was way more enjoyable than getting your ass whipped. So moving on, uh,
if you'll allow me, I'm ready. We got a lot of other stuff to talk about here. Should we,
should we do another read?
I think we can.
I was just gonna do that right now.
And I was gonna tell you.
Oh my God, that's so cool.
I was gonna tell you about how this episode is brought to you
by Woop, the official fitness wearable of the PGA tour.
Listen, I'm always honest with the people T.C.
And I remember I docked this away from several years ago
and you had your second kid, don't need to wear the Woop
for your first couple months of fatherhood.
You don't need it, you're not gonna sleep enough,
you don't need the data, I'm taking a little break from it.
I'm happy about that, I'm honest with the people here.
Listen, I know I feel like shit, like you don't need to tell me.
I do not need to see the red every day.
Listen, part of what I really enjoyed about the hoop
is gamifying and really making strong decisions,
getting to bed earlier, not drinking before bed,
knowing the things that are gonna cause me
to not sleep well overnight.
And I know I'm gonna be red regardless right now,
so I just don't need that data right now.
But if you are looking to improve,
maybe your effort in the gym,
shoot some lower scores, get extra hours of sleep,
or find out what that extra hours of sleep
does to your body throughout the course of the day,
whoop helps you build better habits
and make healthier choices.
I've had great experiences with it.
When I'm able to manage my own schedule, it's got features like Strength Trainer, Stress
Monitor, and you can finally track the intensity of your weightlifting or manage your stress
levels with a real-time stress score and science, back, breath worth, and you can try Woop
one month free and get ready to unlock the best version of yourself.
You can go to Woop.com, whop.com to get started, use code NLU
to save 10% off your order.
So I think I'm going to get on the whoop game
in a big way this fall and spring.
I'm coming for you.
Coming for me.
You guys are going to blow past me, all right?
I'm not getting, Ben's already blown past me.
He's two strokes, but I got to get two strokes
from Ben these days.
Oh, Ben's got a kid on the way too. I know. I've tried to time up. We're going to
we're going to play a match. We're going to go for the crown. The NOU crown. And so we have a good
idea of where we're going to do that actually. But other news around the golf world this week.
Stuart Haggistead wins his third United States mid-ameter championship at sleepy hollow,
battled some tough conditions, rain fog
and whatnot over this past week.
And it's headed back to the masters next year
with his, as I mentioned, third mid-am title,
your reaction TC.
You got a hand at this too.
He steps up, he gets it done.
Very good golfer.
He's a really, really good golfer.
I feel like with the third one,
maybe this is like the battlefield promotion
and you can only play amateur events.
So you've graduated from the cocktail tour
for the next five years and you can only play the sunny Hana,
the North East Am, the US Am, British Am, all those.
Go do those, go play against the college kids.
Don't take it out on the insurance agents
and going back to our whoop ad.
The guys like us that have kids
and real jobs and all that.
But earnestly, congrats this to you.
It's a big accomplishment.
A lot of adversity this week with the,
like you said, the rain up at Sleep at sleepy hollow and yeah, he dominated.
It's is you know, there are a lot of people have issues, you know, whatever you want to call it with, you know, his approach to mid-Ambroter golf and all that
All that considered still really, really, really freaking hard to do that three times and to just be so consistently like I don't ever recall
one of these where he shows up at his game is not there for the mid-am. Like it's remarkable
to when you want to play your best golf to continue to play just nothing but your best golf.
I know he's coming fresh off playing the freaking Walker Cup. So it's not hard to imagine,
you know, being sharp would love it if you had the same kind of PTO policy as his company has
to be able to play this much golf, but it is. It's a back or the transportation policy as well.
Exactly.
But let's see.
I want to start.
I want the USGA to take this message very seriously.
We need a, they need to read like what you keep calling it the US mid-AM call whatever you
want.
I know st.
Doesn't qualify in this because he's never been a professional, but we need a
mid-ameter like championship where if you've ever made one dollar at any point playing professional
golf, you are ineligible. You can only, like Stu might win 85 of them for all we know, but
there's too many X-PROs playing these things, too much. Like if you've dedicated your life and
make, try to make a living out of playing golf. You are in a different stratosphere than every other like regular Joe, which I think this championship is supposed to be. And there's too
many expros playing the damn stuff that make it totally like unenjoyable for like the true, I don't
know. I don't want to die on this this hill, but it's gotten out of hand and it's going to get
further out of hand as as more people leave the game of golf. So I feel like maybe it should be a hundred K or something like that.
Okay.
You made a hundred K. That's fine.
Because I do think you make money off the game of golf as well.
Back in the day, you would have been considered a professional, right?
I don't make money off my golf skill.
That's for sure.
That's that's what that's what the amateur status is.
Yeah.
Like think about this.
Justin Huber, my guy, listen, he should not be playing the same events that I'm going
to be playing in and he's going to be getting his amateurs.
You were going to get reinstated.
I, I believe so.
I think he's on track for it.
I mean, it's just, it's, it's insane, but that's a different hair.
Different topic for a different day.
We got a lot more to cover here.
Um, on the corn fairy tour, the Simmons Bank open and Nashville Grayson Murray went to
the second time this year. So I put that on the, I put that on the corn fairy tour, the Simmons Bank open and Nashville Grayson Murray went to the second time this year.
I put that on the agenda.
You want to take it away?
Yeah, Grayson, one for the second time this year.
Listen, I don't want to take anything away from the guy.
It's a big accomplishment, good comeback for him.
Kevin Price had a great article about he's been working on his fear management and his mental game.
But, you know, Grayson won the big guitar
and between him and the kid that got...
The cool collab album is gonna be fantastic.
Well, between him and the guy that got de-cute
a couple of weeks ago for berating a rules official.
You know, a lot of good.
I'm not a good toasty, right?
Yeah, really good,
crop of guys coming back to the tour next year.
Stoke for that.
I hope Grayson's doing well.
I know he's struggled in the past with alcohol
and I don't know what the current status is of all that.
I know he's left a path where he's gone
and I hope this time back goes a lot better for him and for everyone that encounters him because that's as as
for scum would say that's all I have to say about that. He's a really good player like you're legitimately great golfer. Second Cornferry tour win of the year. And yeah, hope, hope you can kind of pay it forward. Also wanted to shout out Chris Gotter up.
He finished T5 this week, really good finish for him.
Ben Cole's continues to play well
and my guy Pontus and I home,
another sweet, he was kind of in control through Round 2
and then faded on the weekend a little bit,
but absolute unit.
He could be the heir apparent to Robert Carlson,
if and when he gets his tour card.
I can't believe we didn't start with this TC,
but I know this was a big one that you bumped down
the Sanctuary of the US team room for this next one.
Yeah, Blocky with his alleged ninth Albatross.
He was playing with Little Blocky out of Oroio Trabuco,
nine Albatrosses or Albatry or whatever we call those. Sally, how do you respond to that?
Well, you were confusing the slack. You thought it was a hole in one first and then you
identified as an Albatross where I come from. Those are the same thing. But, you know, listen,
I'm happy for blocky with number
nine. I have nothing on this. I got nothing. I can't do it. I can't.
Yeah. Blocky. I heard he was back at Oak Hill in the previous couple of weeks. He shot
a very high score at Oak Hill, but was also calling his second home at this point. So
I, you know, I wish blocking the best.
And I know we're going to see him in a couple of weeks in a room.
I just know it.
Sorry.
I can tell you one place he will not be because the sanctity of this
team room will not be the seal will not be broken.
A report came out this week that full swing on that
flicks will not be filming inside the team room, which again,
99% of this makes complete sense until you get to this quote where it just gets a little
out of head from Zach Johnson.
I think he said this at a golf week interview.
I hope I have that right.
Maybe he was somewhere else, but it was one of those where we all gathered.
I talked to every individual and laid out scenarios and they all felt it was best to navigate
that week of the tournament in a manner in a manner which the sanctity and sacredness of team USA is preserved were eliminating scenarios.
Scenarios.
Isn't that like a like a card game or something?
There it probably is.
It probably is.
Look, I'll continue to I'll read the rest of the quiz that we can do this.
I just think that with JT said I just think there was like maybe a couple people, a little skeptical
and it was really not even a conversation.
We're all a team this week, all 12 Ron Boer, so it doesn't really matter.
And then Stefan Schoffley, the father of Sanders Schoffley, said, Stefan, excuse me.
Apart from the fact these guys don't get paid, you cannot make a deal with a third party
that we are not party to for rights into eternity.
I also added that Zander did not sign the agreement without changes to the language
basically with the full swing waivers or whatever it is. So real quick, I think I'm totally
fine that they're not having a chamois in the team. There's no fucking way. Yeah, I think
that's a pretty, you know, volatile personal intimate setting. And or like,
if you did have it in a time capsule for 15 or 20 years and then bring it out after that. So,
I've no, no issue with that at all. I do have an issue with like Stefan Schoffley talking about,
you know, how like the, the, the, the rights in the contract language and all that, like his
issue wasn't with the sanctity of the team room.
No.
It was with the, the rights here.
And it sounds like Steph and Shoffley and Patrick Cantley and things of that nature, like
completely going off the rails in that regard, which is sick.
And I wish them well on that front.
I think all of this would have gone totally fine
if you didn't say the sanctity and sacredness
of the TBSAT room, which yeah, I mean, like strategy
and just in general, like dude, this is supposed to be,
I don't know, I'm all for like,
hey, put some stuff out there into the golf world
to promote the game of golf and to let people in
and things like that, but this is like one thing where,
I don't know, I guess they do it, you know, it's hard knocks.
They're in the locker rooms and all that stuff with, with preseason football and
training camps and things like that.
But man, this is just too big of an event to do that.
And it's also like if you're trying to win for the first time in 30 years,
like no fucking way, do you let someone in at this point?
Like maybe win one.
Yeah.
Maybe do it the next time around?
Well, also it's, so it seems like a it's an issue
because it's, it's not a PGA tour event,
it's PGA of America event, right?
So to assume there's different,
their rights are probably different,
but also like I'm a ZJ hater.
I don't even have a problem with him saying the sanctity
and the sacredness of the team room
because that's essentially what it is, right?
Like you're, you know.
But also, man, I go back to like,
what, one of the issues I've had with full swing
and have, with it going forward is like, I just,
I don't even trust them to get it right, right?
Well, they do character pieces, right?
So, it's not gonna be about the event
or in context or anything like that.
Totally.
I'm totally one of those things for this.
I don't trust full swing at all because they've got everything wrong from like a core
fan and context and telling the story of an actual event at time and place.
Well, the whole structure is like you just have to end up revisiting the same events in
every episode because like they almost all stand alone and they are profiles on the
individual people.
And yeah, if it was about the Ryder Cup,
like an hour long episode about the whole Ryder Cup,
I would be like, hey, everybody,
Europe and US get on board with this
because it's getting an understanding
of what can make the final cut.
And let's do this.
But if it's about a certain individual
and you're only taking stuff probably out of context
from that team room and putting it into the documentary about Macs or something like that,
that's just, that's not what this thing is missing.
I really don't think.
I think it's also, yeah.
Like I, I think also it could end up being something to wear.
Full swing makes it seem like the, the golf world swung by Marco Simone in Italy six different times this year just like they did southern hills last year
All set, right? I guess all for yeah, you know, it's like he
All right, we're gonna visit there in May in July and August and then oh, yeah
Like finally we're here at the writer cup, and this was actually what why we were here, you know
Yeah, no, I expect that to be better in season two, but agree.
I agree. It's not a timeline.
If it was like a chronological thing, I think that would make a lot more sense.
But, um, ROM went to bat for Sergio to be involved in the rider cup in the future.
Um, this kind of got misconstrued as it normally does anytime you involve anything with
anything live, but it's basically saying like, yeah, would be wrong to not lean on his
experience. I believe in reference to future captains and assistant captains, but which also was
followed by this came from the telegraph today.
I saw Sergio made a last ditch attempt to get back into the rider cup by peg 700 pounds
of fees that were passed due on the, this is from the time you saw this.
I did this over.
This was from JB Corrigan at the telegraph, a URTOR official said they suddenly came to
us and said not only would he pay a hundred thousand pounds in fees, but also all of the
outstanding fines.
If he was allowed to play, the source said it estimates the complete.
But only if he was allowed to play.
Correct.
They also said they didn't get faith on the front end.
They'd play in whatever events we wanted apart from those that clash with the remaining
live tournaments, but it was explained that despite the ongoing peace
talks, as he'd resigned his membership, he is not eligible to join until next year. It
was all a bit bizarre as that was the, that was made clear all along. As did Sergio remains
the only one of the live players who have not paid the original 100,000 pound fine. Westwood
has paid, Paltrow has paid, but Sergio has not. It's just that's fantastic.
In Texas is back. I know. You would think that, you know, he'd be riding high on the hog. I'm
in full support. Actually, as a Euro Tour fan, I'm not in full support. As a US fan, you should be
in full support of Sergio being a captain, because he would be like one of the all-time worst captains ever.
being a captain, because he would be like one of the all-time worst captains ever.
I want Mike Polter and those guys to be involved in in this event. I still feel like we have like some revenge to take on those guys, right? I want them nearby when it went, if this thing ever
gets reversed in the US momentum starts, which I'm hoping it does in a few weeks here, I need
those guys nearby, like I need them to feel the pain.
No, and we're trying to completely start any chapter here.
Other news around Gile Hans and Jim Wagner are going to reduce Spanish bay,
which I know nothing about Spanish bay.
And that's probably a good thing that Jim and Gile are going to redo it because
I would imagine that's going to put that place back on the map.
Real quick. Yes, I agree. But also you skipped over DJ comments and not being on the
team. I did. I didn't think there was any really headline here, but DJ was like, yeah,
I feel like I played well this year, but I didn't play well enough in the majors.
And I don't know. I feel like somebody kind of took this as a headline and it probably
wasn't. It happens every time. Anytime, anytime, any of these guys speak on anything, it gets
Swiss golf WRX. Hey, do better, guys. When did you guys become like, just clickbait
website? I don't know what happened there, but they, they're the ones that take all this stuff
and didn't the PJs were by him. I think. I don't know. That's, it's gotten really,
really bad there. A couple bad actors over there. But DJ said I would love to be a part of the team,
but to be honest, I haven't really played that well this year,
but I have played,
have I played well enough to be on the team?
Yeah.
I don't know how those two things made each other,
but I didn't have the best year.
Was it good enough to make the team?
I think so.
If I would have been playing on the PGA tour,
yeah, I would have made the team,
which I don't think he's wrong there.
Like I think if he was still, I mean, he had a pretty darn bad season, but I think he
might be, have been in the JT category, I coming off 5 and 0 and like, he would 5 and
0.
I know.
He's one of the best drivers in the world, but he has sucked in Europe.
Like he's played in multiple of these and has sucked in Europe and he got suspended one
time before Europe and like, it's not, it's
not been good. He said, if I would have played a little better at the majors, I think I definitely
would have had a really good chance to be on the team, but I struggled a little bit in the
majors this year, which happens. I told him I'd love to be on the team, but like I said,
I didn't quite play well enough, especially not being on the tour. I really need, I really
need to play well, which I think speaks to like what we've said all along. Like, dude,
if you're going to leave the tour, you got to play really well if you want to make the rider cup team and yeah kept get to that for at least part of the year and made the team so.
I think i don't know and the majors were a little bit weird this year like the masters turn into kind of a weird deal with the rain yeah. all that. So back to Hansen Wagner, stoked for them to reduce Spanish bay. Hopefully this is
signs of life from Pebble Beach that they're taking their stewardship of a really awesome
you know massive piece of land acreage there in the golf world to
to you know take it seriously take pride in it. I know it costs you a shitload of money when
you shut it down to renovate it. But like at some point, like that's part of your duty,
make it as good as it can be, pay it forward, be a good steward of the game.
I love that, TC. That might be our highlight clip tomorrow. That's fantastic.
Kat was spotted on the range at Liberty National. I don't have, I'm not having to get hyped
about cat, Jimmy Kiddios on the real. Okay. Skip pass that. Yeah. You put, you put the
next one on there. I'm going to have you take this one because I also don't have the energy
to go here. Yeah. Stolen Valor, Richard Blumenthal issued a subpoena to the US subsidiary of
PIF. I didn't really follow it up too much from that. I guess big J did the show and Yasser
and the gang didn't show
either, but, uh, it seems like they're signaling that still on the radar screen.
I'm amazed that we don't read anything about any of this going on or nobody's doing any
reporting on any of this.
And this was all I could think about, like three months ago, and I've totally lost complete
steam on all of it.
I myself not caring about the future of professional golf
three months after like having my life revolve around it. It's bizarre how how fast they're going to
possibly kill off core golf fans with whatever else going on. And then kind of on the backside of
that golf.com or golf.com, I should say, put out kind of a fluff piece for the PGA tour
this week on, I don't know, just TV ratings and the effective
the full swing thing and, you know, like basically pumping
their chest that the ratings are flat this year. And like,
hey, you know what, like that's the full swing effect.
ratings are flat, baby. And they're, they baby. And they're really puffing their chest out.
And then all plastered all over all over that thing.
All over.
In a way, I've never seen, I've never seen multiple, multiple huge banner ads for Liv Golf.
Like I've never seen ads this big on any website.
And it was everywhere I clicked.
It was just Liv Golf everywhere. And we tested it out. And it was everywhere I clicked. It was just live golf
everywhere. And we tested it out. It was like, at least just my cookies are doing this. No,
everywhere you went, there was just huge live golf banner ads for Rich Harvest Farms.
This one. Yeah. So I thought he was being targeted based on his previous
proclivities and everything on. No, it was everybody. It was mobile, that's top, all of it.
on, no, it was everybody. It was mobile, that's top, all of it. Just really, really good to see golf.com, staying above the fray. They'll see them the boys over there. So good stuff
on that front. What else we got? Solly, we posted a sparkle.
So we, we, we did a sparkle video on Twitter where we just tried to, yeah, we, we, we, we,
we only posted one of them. We're gonna post a couple more of the coming weeks, but just doing sport, there's a quiz website
if you're not familiar with it.
They got some golf trivia.
They have a lot of trivia on there,
but we did a golf one.
Basically, the end of year, top 10 rankings
for every year the last 30 years,
and they all be got as the country that's on there.
We did really well.
I'm not gonna spoil our it,
but my God, we missed in 2016 a suite in the top 10, Alex Noren, somebody who...
A liter of hope.
A liter of hope.
A liter of hope.
Months talking about how you manipulate it,
manipulated his way into the top 10,
and when it came time to get that trivia question,
we did not get it, and it affected by day.
I still can't believe that was missed,
because I was so much pride in how well we did,
and to not get that one was really painful. But I will say I know people were
like, man, I was screaming websites into my car while I was watching it. It's harder
when you're under the gun. It's easy when you're watching them to fill in the names.
It's harder when you're under the gun under the gun to fill in the names.
You're being filmed too. Exactly. As well. It was fun. We're going to do one weekly for
as long as we have those, uh, sparkle quizzes available. But Sally, talk to me about your T150s.
I feel like these are like your dad, your dad irons a little bit.
My dad irons, what does that mean? It means that like, hey, you know what, I need a little bit
more forgiveness. I'm not quite as sharp, but they're, they're still going to go. And I just need
a little bit bigger sweet spot. I need a quarter instead of a dime or so. So I, I was, I was a, I was a cow a x forged guy, which were not like the
most, I don't know how to describe it. I'm not a big equipment. I couldn't hit the x forged.
Like I'd see, they were more of a, they're not really like a player's iron. They're like,
they give you a little boost, right? They're just ball go far. They're delofted a little bit.
And I got really used to just hitting approach shots
that way that were kind of boring.
I naturally hit it pretty high.
And so I had T1 originally had T100s of Tileless,
the old T series.
And so if you tell me like, I'm 160 out,
that is nine iron in my head.
That is a perfect nine iron. And with those T100s, I couldn't gas that is nine iron in my head. That is a perfect nine iron.
And with those T100s, I couldn't gas up a nine iron
to get it that far.
Like, it would go 150.
I didn't have a gas up level with those clubs.
Like, the harder I'd hit it, the higher it would just go
and I still wouldn't get it there.
It's near and weirder.
Yeah.
And it then at a smooth eight, I couldn't get comfortable
with hitting eight, not, you know, almost full to that. Just, I don't get comfortable with hitting eight, almost full to that distance.
I don't know, it's hard to describe,
but I like to hit a shot hard, and I know it can't go long.
So, in that spot, I couldn't hit a hard nine
and get it there, and I can't hit the eight hard,
and because I'm gonna fear that it's gonna go long, right?
So now, I've gotten back into the right lofts for me and the right like ball flight for me to know, like, now if it's say 164,
and it's, you know, I, it's not like cold out. I'm at a pound nine, and if it goes 162,
that's fine. I just like playing golf that way. And that's what the T150s have given me.
It they're lower lofted. The pitching wedge is 44 degrees level off. So I'm guessing
the nine irons probably 40 degrees. So I've had to do a little gapping adjustment, but I'm back to hitting like a piercing shot and I'm back to when when end out taking less club,
hitting it harder and it's still getting it up in the air. They still have a really low center of gravity. And these irons,
I'm getting plenty of height out of them, but it's still just boring through the air a lot better. The fitting session was super
impressive because just the way they look for
mile per hour gaps in your irons from from iron to iron, you don't need to hit all the
irons in it. And we kind of got near, you know, the bottom of the bag, top of the bag,
whatever you want to say, I had in the old set, I had T105 through wedge and then T204 iron.
I told that to the fitter, kind of thinking like, hey, man, give me, fit me into a new T204 iron.
It was like, I, I, I, that's what I use.
He goes, no, not anymore.
You don't like T150s all you need.
Like here's your distance with the, with the T154 iron.
And that's all you need.
And it was, it's been awesome.
I'm back to like, I didn't, I just not have the right turf interaction with the T100s.
I don't think that was a club fault.
It just was something weird I had going on.
And now I'm back to being able to, I've not played a lot of golf. I got two rounds in this week. I'm thrilled
with that. But back to being able to lean down on it and compress it and just send it
with irons. And I'm finding the green a lot more already. I just have a newfound confidence
with this. And I even helped sell one. I got that I played with a decent amount around
here. Saw me play one round with them back in in a July. And he went out and bought
a full set of them. So I think we're kind of we're done here, title us. We've made we've made our one sale that
we promised you, but it was that, I mean, it was that different. I mean, it was that different
content. I use project X. Okay. So you're still in the project X this six point O's. Yeah.
Yeah. So I, so I know I switched from now I have 48 degree voc, he 54 degree in a 60,
which I've never had gaps that big, but I find it again, well, I think I've told this story before when
we got fit into wedges, he took me from 56 to 54 and he was just like, yeah, I just
never hit it full again.
And I was like, oh my God, that's the best advice I've ever received around wedges.
Like, why would you try to hit a full 56?
Now you just, I never tried to hit a full wedge
anymore. My wedge place improved a lot. That's where I'm in like a so much people have reached out
and they're like, Hey, like I want to go to these, but the gapping with my wedges, it's all fucked up.
And I'm like, cool. Then either figure out the other side of your bag or I have a 48 a 53 and a 58
five degrees in between. And like that's pretty much what I had, and a 58. Five degrees in between, and that's pretty much
what I had before, but just at four degrees
in between a set of five degrees.
And it's like, and my problem, like,
44 degrees at like the T150 cast, right?
Like not a Voki wedge, 44 degrees in that cast,
and a 50 degree wedge was a big gap, right?
So, I feel like it's so much more manageable now
than it was before.
Yeah, so now getting to that 48, I could probably get a little over 130 out of that one,
but I'm probably getting it's been my 125 shot now and get a nice piercing shot. I'm excited
to get out back under the golf. It's starting to turn into the golf season down here and it's seen.
It's so funny to me that you're in the 150s and Randy's in the 100s.
I really, I didn't even hit the 100s when I got fit. I had my mind made up. Everything I described what I was going through with Ion is they were just
like, Hey, just wait until this new series comes out. I promise. And it was like three swings
was like, Oh, yeah. Okay. That's totally it. So I'm stoked to see you play with them.
I've been, I've got two rounds under my belt with them and like,
I don't know, I felt it. So it's, it's tough for me because we're coming out with these videos
from Scotland. Yeah. And I was a fourth at the time or 4.5 roasted. People are like, oh, yeah,
fucking, fucking pointy at my ass. I'm like, yeah, I know. I wasn't appointed at this point. I was
a four, I was a 4.5 and playing dog shit. All right. Yeah. Again, there's a million excuses we could make about videos, you know, our golf and videos,
but it's almost like, get ready to go on a golf trip or a workshop of any kind.
There's a bunch of shit you got to take care of before you leave.
You're not like playing the three days before you leave the house and you end up showing
up.
We're not on the side.
I guess that plan.
Yeah.
I got to go play on camera.
I haven't touched a club in eight days.
It's going to be really tough, but no, I'm I got to go play on camera. Damn, I'm in touch club in eight days. I guess it's going to be really tough.
But no, I'm stoked. Let's play some golf around here.
We're neighbors now. We can make that happen a lot, a lot easier.
So we have soulheim coming up this week.
You and Randy and Neil and Cody are making the trip over to Spain for that one.
What can people expect this week?
gosh, so yeah, I talked to Neil today.
He was up at a wedding in Connecticut.
He was supposed to be on the pod tonight.
Just he was so hungover today.
Like, so hungover.
So I was like, listen, we'll just do it.
I saw the Instagram post.
I was like, wow, Neil said a wedding.
I thought he was supposed to be on the pod this week.
And then the message came in like an hour later.
I was like, yeah, I can't make it.
I feel bad for him because he's he's been I think is this is like a seventh wedding in like 11 weekends or something.
And then or like it's like seventh wedding or bachelor party.
So he's he's been hitting it hard on the wedding front.
But yeah, Cody and Randy are in route right now.
Neil and I will be over there.
Certain Thursday.
Andy or in route right now, Neil and I will be over there on certain Thursday.
Really stoked, we're gonna do preview show.
I think Randy and Cody are gonna do preview show.
I think the day in Laura Davies is gonna hop on
for some sort of pot or preview.
We've got some different things in the hopper there.
We'll have live shows Friday Saturday Sunday. It'll be
actually I think wraps up at 7 or 8 p.m. local time, so 1 or 2 p.m. It'll kind of be, and then I think
on Sunday it wraps up at 11 a.m. Eastern time. So it'll be kind of a great lead into NFL football. So, so I'm cup think it
court is in. Keynesy of the course should be interesting. I don't know quite what to expect.
It sounds like a big walk. Kind of a dry, arid course, not quite desert, but on this big hillside,
kind of going down to the Mediterranean. I personally think the European teams going
to beat the shit out of the US, but talking to the LPGA folks, they said that the US team
has never been in more lockstep behind a captain. They are behind Stacey Lewis. So we'll
see what happens. But yeah, plenty to come there on that front. We got Judy Rankin on
the call this week on Golf channel, which is just fantastic.
And then our guy Wolfie came out with a Soulheim Cup office hours. That's that's live on our
channel and delightful Randy Hopton with him for that. And Soli our Red Hawk speed Wolfie's
bear cats this weekend as well. For the first time in like 20 years. Saturday was like the sportsiest day I can ever remember having.
I got multiple TVs up. The YouTube TV multi view thing is incredible.
I don't know what to do with myself. The reds one, West Virginia one, my wife,
the Gator, they won. It looked great. They looked really good.
And then Miami was everything we turned on. They won. I was absolutely feeling
myself going to. I know you're everything we turned on. They won. I was absolutely feeling myself going into.
I know you're a big prime one guy for sure. I was feeling great. Jags lost today. Reds lost,
like literally all my fans teams lost today. Sunday's been absolutely horrible. Thank
God for saw it. He saved us today. But sports are back. I think sports are really back.
Sports are back and big, big content week for the boys.
We got we got a lot coming out. We got on the on the video side.
We've got the Dunaverty film room coming out.
MacriHannis, Shiskin, watch those. If you haven't already, there's kind of lead up to Dunaverty. And then we have a film coming out on Wednesday.
Our friend Jim Hartzel will have a company podcast coming out this week as well,
kind of a bonus pod.
But I will say our friend Mac Golden,
our colleague Mac Golden's been working on it
for the last three months.
And it's unequivocally, I think it's the best thing
we've ever produced.
So I'm really, really excited for that to come out
on Wednesday night.
And I don't know,
Jim's one of my best friends. He's just, he's been great to us and has a really, really good story and
just love Scottish golf. And it's one of the, one of the things I'm most proud of being involved
with in my entire life. So stoked for that to come out this week. And then,
um, yeah, we've got podcast galore, uh, rainy night hopped on to chop last week. We've got
owners, uh, on the track. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. NFL owners episode three coming out this week.
And then NLU wise, what do you got going on this week, Salah? Well, we got Solheim preview.
And you guys have the heart's episode. We're,'re we're we're sad on that and then we're
rolling right in this will have Solheim Cup live shows Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. We'll roll right into Ryder Cup preview.
The following week we're into a Ryder Cup happy hour show the
Thursday before after the pairings are out leading into that day.
And then live shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Rome.
I'm stoked for it all, man, It's going to be a fun two weeks
leading up to and then then it's going to be some downtime. It's going to be really nice. But
this is going to be an awesome, awesome little stretch here. I'm stoked. Are you feeling
better, worse, the same as you were, say a month ago?
I am back and forth every day.
You're catching me on a good day of feeling good.
What's being shot 76?
You feel good.
It's not me.
It's not 72.
Yeah.
I have just a constant pull in two directions of, hey, all the dudes that lost this thing,
like habitually, like constantly feel who feel, tiger and furec, mainly,
like I love it Jim, I'm sorry,
but you were a part of a lot of losing teams in Europe.
They're not on the team anymore.
For the first time,
none of those guys are on the team.
And it's a fresh batch of dudes,
and they're going over with a different process
than they've ever had.
So I'm balancing that with the dread of every time
they go over something freaky happens
and they play like shit.
And there's that, like, there's that inclinable mountain that they can't overcome.
And I don't know what's going to happen.
I'm just constantly torn between the two things.
Like, even if they lose, and I'm working on a writing piece that says it's like, even
if they don't win, I just, at somewhat hope and I know there's no realistic chance
that the people will recognize, like things have changed
a lot on the US side and how they do it.
They might still get outplayed,
but this is the best I could possibly feel,
I think going into one in terms of how they're approaching it,
taking in all the factors and like not just going
with like Tom Watson's gut and involving other people in the process.
And I kind of always wonder like, why the hell does like some dude who was good at golf?
Like, why is he the best at like making pairings and like coming up the strategy for winning
a team event? Like, it just doesn't work that way. Like, and none of your professional golf
career prepares you for that weird one week of really small sample size. Like, if anything, all the success of your professional golf career,
there's everything to not prepare you for that to set your ego aside.
Yeah, you're exactly right.
And that Europe has like ran like for some reason it gets mocked on the US side,
but all of a sudden they have a process with consultants and analytics and all that.
Like Europe's been doing that for quite some time and been running circles around us.
And now like the US is copying what Europe does
and maybe leveling that playing field
and making it, you know, more about the town on the field.
I guess people just don't like JT.
Like that's why that got flat.
Like, you know, it became like Kegan versus Sam.
But I'm not even, I think people came to terms
with the Kegan thing faster than they did. I'm sorry, the JT thing, faster they did the Sam Burns thing. I still think people think to terms with the the key and thing faster than they did.
I'm sorry, the JT thing, faster than they did the Sam Burns thing.
I still think people think Keegan should be on the team over Sam Burns.
I think that he's only picked because he's Schaeffler's friend when it's just,
it's a lot more complicated than that. It really is.
I'm still of the mind that Sam's on the team because Scotty said,
hey, I want Sam on the team.
I think he serves a more versatile role.
I think he is more flexible.
A kind of malleable skill set or just.
That is what I would think.
I would think.
Yeah, but I don't know.
So we'll see.
I hope it's close.
I hope it's good.
That's the only the only thing I don't want to happen
is the Europe just wiped the floor. Both teams play hard. Yeah, everybody has fun. Everybody gets orange slices.
But I love that. I hope the golf courses and two were effective.
I love that. Same and really same thing for so long. I don't, I honestly don't see a path forward
to victory for the US team. I, I, I only listen to you guys talk about it and that makes me think that,
but I don't know if you guys are full of shit or not, right?
So I hope I, I hope the US is more competitive than you guys are making it sound.
Like I, I, I, I don't know if it's going to be the blowout.
You think it is, but I don't know why I'm not just like that.
You know, you got like a semi-retired Lexi.
You have Danielle Kang who hasn't had a good year at all.
Versus on the flip side, you got basically everybody beating down the door
on the European side, Madeline starting to play better, Lynn Grant.
I'll say this.
I wasn't impressed with the US process.
As impressed as I am with how the US men's processes evolved. I wasn't too impressed with how that all went down an
Inverness, if I may say. Yeah. I don't know if it's involved since then, but
seems like Stacy's done a better job on that front. But speaking of which,
don't read DJ's Walker Cup piece because I was, we got a lot of positive feedback on that.
We're trying to get more writing stuff out in the ecosystem. It's, listen, we're doing a lot of positive feedback on that and we're trying to get more writing stuff out in the ecosystem. It's listen, we're doing a lot of things. We're doing a lot of videos and podcasts and just, you know, all sorts of stuff, newsletters, but trying to get back into the writing thing any any kind of tent pole thing we can put in the ground to kind of get some momentum going. We'll go with that. So props to DJ for writing
that. We're going to try to get something good out from Soulheim this week. And yeah.
Man, it's been a trying couple of years in pro golf, which I don't think really any of our
Pat true passions lie in and over the next several months and hopefully into the next year,
I think it's hopefully going to rebound a little bit more on our end, playing more golf one, keeping up our
passion with the game and creating more content around other stuff in golf.
It just isn't the future of the pro golf world, which listen, it's been a,
it's been a time where it's needed to be addressed on repeat, but it's,
it's time to get some balance back in it. So we, uh, we hear for you,
uh, people out there that are, are ready for some variety of content.
So it's solid.
What about the fall series, man?
What about like, I explained it earlier and I don't know if I could re-explain it because
I, I think I've already forgot how it all works.
But, um, uh, I, I, last note I have here, I'm going to let you take it.
We got to, we got to tell the folks about this one.
Yeah, you know what?
I, I hate to do this, but I got to do it to him. My guy Freddie, like football this weekend, you had a pick six.
He's playing center right now. I think the coach might have a miscast. I'm not saying anything.
I'm not saying the coach. Just say I don't think the coach listens or whatever.
He had three targets. He got two touchdown passes. He's a killer. He's a, he's dominating. It's so good to see.
And he's playing up this year.
He was dominating last year.
And he's like the youngest kid in the team this year.
One, I didn't know if this was going to be weird,
but I, I saw it on your schedule.
I almost asked you where it was,
because I wanted to come watch for any play.
That's one.
Two, you reported this information to our Slack.
You left out, like, the most important detail of all this.
And I was like,
I'm going to say,
I'm going to say, I'm going to say, I'm going to say, I'm going to say, I'm going to say, on your schedule. I almost asked you where it was because I wanted to come watch Freddie play. That's one. Two, you reported this information to our Slack. You left out like the most
important detail of all this. Freddie did all this with his face pain like an animal coming
from Gustav's birthday party, your youngest son. He played the football game with his face
painted and I needed that detail in there because that is psychopathic stuff. Like much
like prime, Freddie is a killer on the football field.
And I need to, I think I need to see it.
Yeah, he looked like the linebacker from the program,
the skeleton thing on his half of his face.
It was, we had the, we had the face painter at the, at the jump park on Saturday morning at 9am.
So shout out to Freddie and shout out to Gustav too. He's he's he's probably
a much better football player than Freddie. So all right, TC enjoyed it this week. Nia, we missed
you, buddy. We'll see you on the call tomorrow morning and looking forward to Soulheim Cup stuff.
It's going to be a really fun week. Excited what you guys have. Cook and safe travels over there.
And yeah, busy couple weeks coming up.
Very much looking forward to it.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
Go Euro, baby.
It's gonna be the right club.
Be the right club today.
Yes!
That is better than most.
How about it, Ian?
That is better than most. Better than most. How about in? That is better than most.
Better than most.
