Nobody Should Believe Me - Introducing: Truer Crime Season 3
Episode Date: August 11, 2025Vanished. Vilified. Voiceless. This season on Truer Crime, every story has something in common: it’s not what it seems. What starts as a disappearance, a tragedy, or a headline quickly reveals som...ething deeper—about power, about prejudice, about who gets to be heard and who gets written off. We’re digging into six gripping cases. Some you might recognize. Others you’ve never heard before. But every one of them will leave you questioning the stories we’re told and the stories we choose to believe. Six months. Six cases. Hello, it's Andrea, and I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite shows that is out with a brand new season, Truer Crime, hosted by my friend Celicia Stanton.
They just launched their third season, and I am locked in.
Cilicia is doing a deep dive on six cases over the next six months, and this is just, in my opinion, one of the best.
made true crime shows on the air. You can find truer crime at the link in our show notes or
wherever you listen to podcast. Now, here's the trailer. There has been a massive investigation
underway in this tiny, tiny town. You never think, you know, it's going to be in your small town.
It's going to be someone you know on a missing poster. Vanished, vilified, voiceless.
This season on truer crime, every story has something in common.
It's not what it seems.
Everybody was just baffled about what could have happened to this girl.
When Molly Tibbitts went missing, the whole country watched,
but few understood how quickly her story would be hijacked.
There were death threats, people threatening to burn down our buildings.
And you saw what happened to that incredible, beautiful young woman.
Should have never happened.
But Molly's story, it's just the beginning,
because this season we're digging into six cases,
each with a different face, a different fight,
and a deeper truth hiding beneath the surface.
There's word tonight of a prison riot
at a maximum security prison in Southern Ohio.
We're on us.
If we die, we die.
The bodies started being dumped on the yard.
You know, those dead bodies, one after another.
We all understood standing there
that one of those dead bodies could be ours.
Everybody knew that.
knew that, everybody now understood.
A deadly prison standoff, a media blackout,
and one man still fighting for his life 30 years later.
And then, there's the case we all thought we knew.
This is one of the most sensational crimes
ever to explode in Hollywood.
Why did you kill your parents?
Because we were afraid.
I just wanted to stop.
The Menendez brothers.
You've heard the headlines, but the truth was never simple.
Not then and not now.
These aren't just stories.
They're turning points, flashpoints, moments that'll leave you haunted, angry, and searching for answers.
My God, they just delivered like a hundred body bags.
I want them to convict these men.
I want them to go to the electric chair.
I want a message sent to the rest of the convicts.
You can't keep doing this.
Our bullshit.
All bullshit.
True crime returns on August 4th.
Six months, six gripping cases, one show that digs deeper.
True or crime is available now.
