Emmett and met got it. And with that, let's go ahead and do a little recap. So last time Cali and the serpent went toe-to-toe with Venomol, the adult green dragon. Well Cali just passed out. Cali just passed out after waiting for that part of the recap. Yeah, family. maybe people forgot. As their dueling breath weapons clash and exploded mid-air, Cali was overwhelmed with poison and passed out.

There we go. Meanwhile, the high prince Cobalt had Queen Umbersport by the neck and threatened to finish her off, but Calder took a gamble and attempted to kill him. The dragon was still standing after the attack, so Calder used his giant leadership ability to grant Umbersport an extra swing. After she nearly missed, Calder made a deal with Ultras to accrue 6 charges on his helm, this resulted in her overpowering Cobalt and finishing him off.

More on that later. With the Queen injured, she flew off with Elzor and Ignis, while the rest of you charged down at the tunnel in Cali's direction, you narrowly jumped through a gate to a strange demi-plane that bumpy identified as the Crick. Amongst the grass and overgrowth, you discovered the fossilized skeleton of Venomol, as well as an unconscious cally. You revived her, and she filled you in on Glens True Heritage. The serpent was hesitant to trust the rest of you at first, but you were able to tap into a familiar bond eventually.

However, it became clear that the serpent wasn't cool with just anyone after it snapped at some crick- rangers, so the Mima of the Crick was summoned to meet you just outside of town, and that's when we met Jolyne Siben, the Mima of the Crick elves. Mima offered to help you return the serpent to Oberon, with whom she'd communed in the past. As she set up the ritual to do so, Sal and Calder left to indulge in everything the Cric has to offer. Yes, sir.

During their introduction on the speaking stump, they were heckled by a bully named Emmett, who ended up befriending them after Sal bested him in wrestling and delivered a strange speech about sweating together. It's pretty good. And Sal, really. Right.

Yeah, I mean, he's like part of the group now, right? Yeah, he's kind of, yeah, it's Calder, Cali, I mean, you're like part of the group now, right? Yeah, it's kind of yeah, it's called their calli, Saul and Emmett. Oh, Emmett then weirdly glommed on to you guys and low-key ruined the rest of your night. Meanwhile, this is happening to me in real life, of course. Yeah, of course, of course. Meanwhile, Mima spoke to Calli about Glenn. He was once called Sawyer and is the son of a Crick elf named Kudr, who was part of the old folk circle, a governing body at the Crick. When Kudr voted against going to war with the other factions of

Dragonelves, Sawyer left the Crick with a chip on his shoulder and a quest for glory. Calder and Saw made their way back to Callie, and you all went to sleep for the night. It was then that Calder came face to face with an emboldened Ultras who was close to breaking down the force cage It was then that Calder came face to face with an emboldened Ultras who was close to breaking down the Force Cage that was binding him after rolling a nat to on his con save, and a two on his bless, double shout out. It all came down to a bardic roll

with Calder just squeaking by after rolling a six. Ultras broke free from the Force cage and nearly grabbed Calder before he was saved by the morning sun and awakened as the teleportation ritual was about to begin. Before traveling to the Beastlands though, you requested the help of a dream druid who offered a means for Callie and Saul to travel with Calder to his dreams. She said it would take a couple days, but that she'd work on it while you were gone. You then went through the teleportation ritual and entered the beast lands,

then traveled via the serpent to a massive tree in the middle of the floating island. Once there, you saw the face of a primordial alladron etched into the tree, and as you investigated it, you noticed droplets of blood falling from the branches above and looked up to see a gutted alladren being a blood out and that's where we are now.

Are they alive? Absolutely not. Okay, got it. Do you want to know them? Kelly go ahead and give me a perception or a history check. You do the advantage. 22. Kali, you recognize the face of someone who used to work with your family.

He's serious. Skin of bark walks out of the street. Giant elf, giant like primordial alladron, essentially. Skin of bark begins to grow moss across his body that eventually forms this sort of natural green armor. Leaves burst out of the back of his head, creating a long mane of green hair in a mossy beard. He stands about a dozen feet tall,

pointy, elven ears under a crown of vines and flowers. And he looks at the serpent, and he looks at foster, and he goes, a most unexpected development. Yeah, we found this creature and I think, I think on the material plane, they all just want to use them. And if he stays there, someone's going to turn him into a weapon. So we wanted to bring him here so that he could just be a little animal.

Hmm. What is choice? See you hold his hand out and greets the serpent who begins doing what he was doing around Cali. Starts going around Oberon and then he turns to Foster and he goes, and you, you have done quick work my child, child. And you see Foster flaps up and blands in Oberon's hand and is just kind of sitting there proudly. Did you send this duck to Cali? I created the duck for you.

For me? As the last request of your mother. What? You knew my mother? Hmm. In a way, I knew of her crimes against the wild. She came here after death as punishment to be hunted. He gestures up to the body hanging from the tree. She came here after they sensed her to death, like her soul came here? To like repent? No, not to repent. To be hunted out of existence. This is really heavy. Call the can you take over? I lean all of my weight and even some weight that you didn't know I have on

and finally it settles on a moment from the recent past. And you see a winter eladrin sitting cross-legged at the base of a tree. She's got frosty blue skin, white hair, the drips like icicles. See, she's got a stoic look on her face as she transits, and suddenly not the Oberon that's sort of guiding you through this vision, but an older version of him springs from another tree nearby with his bow drawn, but she doesn't flinch. And you hear her go, Go on then, erase me from existence. That is the punishment for my crimes. See, he creaks as he leans in and he looks at her and he goes, not very sporting. I am not your prey. This is not a game to me. You reaped the fair wild of its magic, sold it for profit. What will your shiny coins mean

when there's nothing left? Who is playing games really?" She stays quiet, she just looks forward, "...you have set a prophecy in motion that will lead to the destruction of your people and the material plane at large." And he goes on to describe sort of the prophecy of the serpent eggs, how we shot them down, and how if the fey reaped too much of its magic that they would rise and they would hatch, and they would return the land to the wild. And you see, after hearing this, she looks at him and After hearing this, she looks at him and cocks her head and goes, Hmm, now that does not seem sporting. He just looks kind of taken aback.

Perhaps in your time, things were simpler. And Cali, this is like classic your mom, just like apps, just being like, and now I'm going to say the most cutting rational thing to destroy you and she's doing this to a Demi God she goes perhaps in your time things were simpler the Lajren We're a monolith. I can assure you that is not the case now the reason I am here is because I was

You see a flash of magic explode from the arrow, and when the dust settles, you are back in the present. Wow. Two fosters. So, this duck is a gift from my mother? It was her last request.

I kinda just looked at Callie in this moment to see what she's feeling and what she needs. I think I'll just say it out loud to Oprah and like, I know that my mother did some bad things, but I did not relish watching her get executed by Queen Joviere, and I, how freely can I speak to Oprah? He seems unaffected as you start to speak. And I did not enjoy watching you snuff her soul out of existence. And, truthfully, I actually take great comfort in the that Foster was a gift from her.

I took no joy from it either. It is my nature, Don Dose, who pray upon the wild. So, can I keep Foster? Can I keep... ...Folster? He is yours. You see Foster hops down from Obron's hand and into Kelly's. Wham! Hey, good luck. I think that's really nice to have a gift from my mother.

And, Kali, you would surmise that this is after your mother, whose name is Oliana. Hmm. And there is another that did find its way to Iron Deep. Okay. Find a toy to iron deep. Fuck me. Okay. Well. That's, I mean, convenient for us. We were making our way there anyway, but. I have to be honest.

After what you just showed me, it was not exactly. I don't feel like pledging my field to you because you did, again, snuff my mother out of existence. But I feel like I really failed the little serpent. And I feel like I need to make that right. And so I'm going to do everything I can to find these other two creatures and make sure that they don't endure what this little wanted. You see the serpent was kind of wrapping itself around Oberon, but then gets down and starts going around you kind of like protectively, and you see he leans in and he sort of eyes you up hmm there is hope for you yet I have long considered the eladrin and other

humanoids an invasive species but I've been watching you all through foster I mean, I all the time because like I do bring foster into the bathroom because I like I like something practicing some dance moves in front of it and that kind of was what you've been rehearsing scenes. I've seen the scene. I've seen the dance right. I haven't seen anything. Once again, I'm going to do an inside check. You can do an inside check. I'm not going to activate my massage because that's just going to be a 13. Great. I would say normally I would say God has a harder face to read, but I'm going to say for the sake of not making my guy a sexual predator, I'm going to say you can tell me

Well, mother ship, the network, weaponized magic, whatever you call it. This threat is so great that I would put aside my feud with the Alatron if it meant stopping this.

So you would allow us to retrieve the serpents? You're saying you want your eggs back. I would like my eggs back. I'll give you your eggs back but for their sake. Yeah this is really the only place where I think they can be safe and not a danger to anyone. We'll be in danger. Yeah. Indeed. And people wanted to turn you into a weapon.

You're a laser light show. Do you see Foster just shakes his head and looks up? Where? Wow, that was sick. Yeah. All right, shall we go get some animal Lord Trials? Yeah. Yeah.

Obron's dwelling this huge tree had a full sun over it and made it appear as if it were daytime. But as you cross into the next section, it immediately drops out of the sky and becomes dawn. Just gray sky, mist in the air.

And you take one step from soft grass, you're immediately into deep muck. All around you weeping willow trees and mud. Everybody go ahead and give me perception checks. 19. That's nice to soak that. It's thrown out. I was like, you know. I think it's thrown out. Get it out of my mind. I just tried it. I was like, you know, I would give him another shot.
