Starting point is 00:03:18 in the Dragon King's dungeon. Yes. You tried to free him, but he was bound with magical shackles that prevented him from using any of his abilities. The magic was controlled by the shocking inquisitor, so you attempted to lure her out. Unfortunately, she caught on and attacked, engaging in a battle that saw Callie brainwashed by a dominate person. Life coach with dominate person is perfect. Yeah, pretty bad stuff. In the end, though, the inquisitor was forced to flee behind one of her trap doors, but

Starting point is 00:03:50 Calder was able to absorb enough of its energy to allow Saul an opportunity to burst through and finish her off. You are my door. I'm honored. Afterwards, you freed Big Bev and continued deeper into the dungeon where you killed several guards with a silent slash grenade combo that absolutely wrecked their shit. Silence and deadly. We're going to take that very cool moment and turn into a fart joke, gal know.

Starting point is 00:04:18 I'm going to have to gal know you on that one. Gal know, good sir. I understand. Gal know. Gal know, good sir. I understand. I know. You freed the nearby debelbs, expanding your army, raided the weapons cache and headed to the dragon pen where Schrumrott and his allies were being held. There, Kali was able to use a dominate beast potion

Starting point is 00:04:39 on a young blue dragon, turning it against its cohorts. After unmuzzling, the capture deep dragons, you made quick work of the jellers and freed Shroomrot. As you stood amongst the newly freed dragons and introduced yourselves to Shroomrot, Big Bev revealed his true form, an adult black dragon with the full name, Mishka Beverly Paw Paw, the second.

Starting point is 00:05:00 And that's where we are now. Woo! All right. so, wow. You guys are in this dragon pan with Big Bev, Shroomrot and a bunch of other dragons that are looking quite beat up at the moment. The younger dragons and wormlings and dragon elves are tiny in size as compared to these two adult dragons.

Starting point is 00:05:22 You see, Shroomrot's got these big, like, I mean, he's been beaten up, so he looks more beat up than usual, but his appearance in general is to be like covered in rotting fungi. So you do see he's got like all these mushrooms around him, he's got like these like bloodshot eyes and stuff, and then Beverly has these like big yellow cat eyes

Starting point is 00:05:40 and glittering black scales. And you see, as Big Bev turns into the dragon, Shroomrot looks up at him and goes, Beverly you old dog. And they do a big dragon hug. Can we say that I was right next to Beverly when he transformed and it's gonna get like plunge away. Yeah, you can push into the wall.

Starting point is 00:06:00 What's happening? It's getting super claustrophobic in here. I want like when the wings go to hug, there's like a gust of wind that blows us all against the wall. Starting point is 00:06:19 that were waiting for you guys down the hall, rush in and reunite with their dragons. You see they start picking up the wormlings and hatchlings and petting the big ones. They start like, it's a beautiful, beautiful reunion. It's a beautiful reunion. You knighted at long last. Yeah, they run in, they're shouting the dragon's names. Slap, crack, boulder!

Starting point is 00:06:38 Oh, boulder! Wow, you're the man, boulder! Boulder, fots so valuable, you're the man, Boulder. Boulder fought so Valley of the Navy. You're such lucky riders. Boulder goes over and wraps his neck around Val, who gives the dragon a big hug. Damn, you would have. You would have Boulder Val. It's all right, it's down to all these names, it's future nicknames.

Starting point is 00:06:59 Yeah, and all the dragons are all coming together and everything. Shroomrot looks at Big Bev, looks down at you guys and goes, well, so you've broken us out. What's the plan now? We're gonna kill the king. But first of all, we're gonna go to bed. Yeah, we were gonna like, real quick, try and take a nap.

Starting point is 00:07:21 And then we were gonna just like get really fucking amped and go kill the fucking king. You see, a bunch of like, bloody fungi is like dripping out of Shroom Rott's mouth. He's just been being like attacked by all these dudes and everything, but he's got this like, crazed look in his eyes and he goes, I like that. I like it a lot. Yeah. Okay, good. Yeah. We thought they made a mistake bringing me in here. Yeah, they did This plan is seeming less crazy by the second if I'm being honest Schrumrot looks at Val and goes

Starting point is 00:07:55 Val take the Rangers clear out the rest of the jailers and secure at the dungeon level. Oh Tactician on our side now. Did you feel that? Did you feel that gravitas? Yeah, that's a little guy's like that. I'm fucking going on autopilot now. You don't need us. I got some hot spores in me right now. Can you bus me around the- Blah!

Starting point is 00:08:31 He's kind of a, he's a fighter for sure. We can draft off that ampt. Yeah. But yeah, you see, Val Salutes goes off, brings some of the younger dragons with her as well. As you hear in the deep distance, just clanging as they quickly overwhelm some of the jailers in the area. We did all right here, huh? Okay, yeah. And now it's time to

Starting point is 00:08:53 just kind of like rest. Yeah. Yeah. How do I get unamped? It's gonna be hard to sleep, I'll be honest. I take out two bright, shiny medicinal molasses. Well, I haven't had one of those in forever. Well, that's good because you only need one and a half. Wow, normally I would say the way it's continues, but I'm not gonna deny you a molasses. All of us are gonna split two molasses. I'm actually good, I don't need you. All right, okay, so just four of us split two mullsins.

Starting point is 00:09:28 They're pretty big. Boys drink up. Yeah, a big bev splits a mullsins with you guys. So stupid. As a bunch of the deep elves and deep dragons go off to kind of secure the dungeon level. Shroom Rod goes, they should be able to stop anyone who comes down here without causing too much trouble. It will probably be several hours before any kind of big contingency tries to get down here

Starting point is 00:09:58 and they should be able to hold them for a while. Okay. Okay, great. Yeah. Should we create some sort of barricade to help them out? I think they have it covered. Okay. If you all plan on being the ones to fight the king, then you need to be resting up. I don't think you have any. I don't think you will have anything left. Okay. It seems like you should rest too. I'll try to get as much sleep as I can. Okay. Shroomrot seems kind of like a little bit more of a hothead than Big Bev. A little bit. Big Bev kind of like looks around, sees some of the like injured younger dragons and stuff that are still kind of like hanging around there. He kind of looks at you guys and goes, now I haven't seen a lot of ancient dragons. The two big ones around here have been the King

Starting point is 00:10:47 of ancient dragons. The two big ones around here have been the King and Lava Ricks, but I can tell you that the times I've seen them fight, they take out entire battalions. It's almost not worth it to have... Let me put it this way. If you're going to fight a dragon that big, it's almost like disarm and a bomb. You're better to go in there with a few specialists than you are an entire battalion. Wow, that's great, because that's all we have. Yeah, that's more special. I think... Look.

Starting point is 00:11:14 Look. So, you have a tear in your eyes, you say that. For once, I believe it. Best chance we have is just us and if there was another big dragon, that would be very helpful. I think some of the smaller ones, I think, might get roasted right away. Okay. Starting point is 00:11:38 moment and goes, yes, and we'll probably need my Rangers and a lot of the dragons to try to essentially take the castle or at least cause enough of a distraction that they don't rush to help the king, right? Starting point is 00:29:01 Big Bev goes over and does a ritual and, and he does like the equivalent of a like a dragon's breath. You see like green magic swirling around his mouth as he goes to breathe out and he creates a little gate to the creek. It is just small enough for him to fit through. You can see through the other side, the sort of overgrowth and everything of the creek on the other side.

Starting point is 00:29:25 Can I ask you what happens if I put my arm in when it closes? Your arm will get chopped off, don't do it. Well, it will. Okay, I'm just gonna scare you. Yeah, no, you gotta be real careful with this stuff. It's good to ask. Everyone, take a wide breath.

Starting point is 00:33:26 You guys wake up having patched your wounds. You see that Shroomrot has done the same. You see that there were a few deep elves kind of stayed behind to cast like minor healing spells and help him recover. And as you guys like stir awake, you see Sh shroom rot walks over to you guys and goes, shall we get on with it then? The Rangers have secured the dungeon level, and once we enter the King's Lair, they'll begin the raid on the castle to make sure that the King has no help. Just give us one second so we can touch base as a team. Of course. We faced a lot together, but this is next level.

Starting point is 00:34:08 This is huge. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's probably for the best that we kind of like talk about, you know, there's going to be decisions we have to make without everyone, you know, things go bad, right? I just want to put it out there that like, if I eat shit, do you mean like in a punk rock way or like in a real way? Oh right, I can understand how that be confusing

Starting point is 00:34:39 because we do use punk rock terms liberally. I mean, if something happens to me, but like you're close to finishing, like just bring my party, but like finish the job. Like if you're holding my party and deciding between retreating for my sake or finishing off this dragon, finish off the dragon and bring me back to the

You can see through the other side, the Crick, these ruins, and you see Big Bev comes through with a little carriage with Princess Shiverblight on the back and... I'm taking it, I'm taking it. Princess Shiverblight looks around at the dungeon,

Starting point is 00:36:37 goes like, oh my God, is this the fucking castle? It's the dungeon, it's just the dungeon if you believe it. It's just the dungeon, you're high-ness. But you could turn it into an additional dwelling unit really easily. Yeah. We could fucking flip this. Right.

Starting point is 00:36:50 You see she looks at you, Calder. By Queen. I go to a knee. S-s-salder? Build a-in the flesh. Your life? I don't- He's a revenant. For you. Give me a

Starting point is 00:37:10 deception check. Can I give him that help action? Yeah. Like prestigitation income to look more deadly? Yeah. And frog like. Oh, you see you have advantage. Big Bev, Rianters the Gate is back in Dragon form and you see some void elves come in with him, wearing like the black masks and come in and start joining up with the D-Belves and Big Bev looks out at you guys and goes, Crick can't afford to lose many people but I brought who I could. We'll get into this later but soyers the loose. So we don't know what he's planning. I don't know if he somehow got wind of what's going on here.

Starting point is 00:38:09 So he's trying to cause trouble at the creek. I don't know. Anyway, I couldn't get Mima or too many of the heavy hitters, but I was able to get some people that can help with the raid. Okay, okay. We'll deal with that and we can. Yeah. Yeah, you see Gatesate closes behind him,

Starting point is 00:38:25 and you see a bunch of these void elves go and join the debelves, continue getting into position, like in the dungeons, getting prepared to go up and attack the knights and stuff upstairs so they can't come to the king. So you guys stand before Big Bev, Shiver Blight, and Truman Rott.

Starting point is 00:38:43 And I'll say Shiver Blight. Can I do an insight check on Shiver Blight as to how long she's gonna stick around. Yeah, go ahead. That's what I like. It's a 15. A 15. When you look at Big Bevan, when you look at Trumrot,

Starting point is 00:38:57 these guys have sort of the grim look of like, I'm going in there knowing that I very well may not come out. Shiverblight is probably not gonna die for any of you guys. Yeah, I definitely know that. She is very mad at the king because it was the blue elves who chased her out of her lair. And so after they were chased out of their lair, a bunch of those guys went and joined up with Glen

Starting point is 00:39:24 and she didn't do that. So she's going around and going like, well, you're going to fuck this king up so fucking bad. You made the biggest fucking mistake when he came to my freaking lair. I really feel like, as soon as he did that, I was like, he screwed now. Yeah, he shouldn't have messed with you.

Starting point is 00:39:41 He shouldn't have fucking done that. That's the biggest mistake he'll ever made. Yeah, yeah. I feel like that's gonna be his last thought as he fucking dies at your fucking claw. I came back from the dead because I was so pissed when I heard what happened. Holy shit.

Starting point is 00:39:56 Yeah, you see as Princess Riverblades talking like that, Shroomrot looks kind of bad and goes, actually I think the biggest mistake he made was capturing me and bringing me inside the castle. Starting point is 00:40:29 and scoping out the dungeon and stuff. And when she's not near shot, he does go to you guys and go, don't hesitate on my behalf. If anything happens to me, all I want is for the crew to be safe. And if this fucker's gone, the whole living woods a whole lot better for it.

Starting point is 00:41:46 Kind of puffs his chest out, chiver blight, puffs her chest out, and BigBuff just goes, I don't care who picks me. Oh, now I really want you. You don't understand. That's like, I don't care either. And like, I give a shit. Like, I fucking care if I pick first or not. I stroll up to BigBuff.

Starting point is 00:42:00 I make a big show of running to chiver blight before Callie gets to Brown. So it looks like I show this for real. I have to push Calli out of the way just to not upset Shiverblight. I think I'm the only one that you wouldn't poison by riding on. That makes a lot of sense. If you can pick out sort of any of the more poisonous mushrooms back there, I'd appreciate it. I'll just collect those. It's sweet.

Starting point is 00:42:24 So yeah, they put their next down. Calder, you get on Princess Shiver Blight's back. Cali, you get on Big Bev. Saul, you get on a Shroomrot. And the three dragons and the three riders begin walking through the dungeons. You guys exit the dungeon pen and see that the deep elves have completely secured this level.

Starting point is 00:42:44 You see that the Crick Elves that came along, the Void have completely secured this level. You see that the crick elves that came along, the void elves, join them. You see a bunch of lights of like visors in the dark, brandishing weapons and armor that they were able to get off like the dragonborn and from like any kind of weapons cash down here. See them like setting up traps and preparing to like funnel any enemies that may enter.

Starting point is 00:43:03 And you guys go through and you eventually get to a massive steel door. There are dusty banners here, light blue with a symbol of a dragon breathing lightning. There are the bodies of two dragon-born guards here. It would appear that the path to the layer has been cleared. Is there anything you guys would like to do before you enter? Okay, it's worth saying, like, formation wise,

Starting point is 00:43:31 we should probably be separate, right? Oh, sure. I mean, you're all dragons. You guys breathe breath. Of course. So we should probably like spread out as much as we can. Yeah. I think that if we're probably like spread out as much as we can. Yeah. I think that if we're able to spread out at the most to only be able to get two of us at

Starting point is 00:43:49 once. Okay. Right. Where do we think the dragon is right now? Where do we think Durahtar is? Because we know that there's this like two leads up into the top of the keep and then one that leads into the dungeon. If there's a chance he's up at the top. Is there only one way for him to get down

Starting point is 00:44:05 to the throne room? You guys know he went into his lair. And his lair is up? No, his lair is down when he came in. Okay, I'm just wondering if we could like, kind of gather around the entrance to his lair, draw him out and then try and get like, three breath weapons on him at once, before scattering.

Starting point is 00:44:24 For us to go up to the roost shoot, out and then try and get like three breath weapons on them at once before scattering. For us to go up to the roost shoot, we would have to go through the castle and be attacked by all of the guards. There are two ways in. This is the way that the humanoids go in to face their boss essentially, and the way he travels in and out is through the roost chute. My rangers will be securing that area. Okay. Okay. So we're going. This is our only way in. Okay. I'm going to pass out the basil. Oh, yeah. Starting point is 00:47:09 You see there is sparse torch light along the way as you guys three dragons underneath you, being as kind of stealthy as possible, but you hear the clicking of like their claws kind of echoing through the tunnels, as you hear a drip in the distance. Let me just pause for a second to say how absolutely sick this is.

Starting point is 00:47:29 It was pretty sick. Yeah, I agree, it's pretty fucking sick. It's pretty freaking rad. How is this for a mount called a? It feels right. I feel like a really good team. Oh, I forgot who you are. I was just thinking dragon. Yeah. I forgot who you are. I was just thinking, drag it.

Starting point is 00:47:46 Yeah, it's cool. And I think it's equally cool for everyone, but maybe coolist for me. Just so you know, I kind of just fly like free. So just be prepared. Like I might go outside to Hunter or something. Yeah, I would never try to lead you. Right?

Starting point is 00:48:02 Of course. Yeah, that goes to that saying. Yeah. Do we need to lead you. Right. Of course. Yeah. That goes to that saying. Yeah. Do we need to tie you? I mean, they're pretty much tied to each other already, right? At least tie the mullsons on the spot. You're right.

Starting point is 00:48:14 Emotionally tethered who needs rope. As you guys make your way down this hallway, everybody go ahead and give me a perception checks as the tunnel begins to open up. That's another nat one. Whoa. It's a big surprise. 11. Okay, 15. As you guys make your way, you see that the tunnel opens into an enormous cavern.

Starting point is 00:48:36 It looks like the castle is built on top of a cave system or that the king burrowed at himself. You see there are stone walkways and bridges hanging over a byss. Some of the walkways have been destroyed likely by the king lashing out at his attendants. You see that there are just like random bridges to know where and stone platforms

Starting point is 00:48:58 places for the king to perch. And presumably these bridges were for people to walk on. And on the south wall, you see the roost chute where he is able to get kind of in and out of his lair, up to the upper parts of the castle and out into the living wood. And over it, you see the mounted head of another ancient dragon skull. This thing is huge, like eight feet wide. Below you, you see mostly darkness, but reflecting shimmering torch light, you can just make out a pool of

Starting point is 00:49:36 like muck and mud below. And after a moment, you begin to feel water dripping from above you, leaking from the ceiling. The entire cave begins to shake, knocking rocks loose from the walls and the ceiling, and the mud below begins to bubble as the king emerges from it. So enormous that it looks like the ground itself is rising. Rodents in my layer, and kittens who think they're cats. Sorry we caught you in the bathtub. Are you taking a mud bath? I was resting. You see, Shroomrot, Shiverblight, and Big Bev, kind of,

Starting point is 00:50:33 You see Shroom Rott, Shiver Blight, and Big Bev kind of steal themselves. They are tiny in comparison to the Giant King, who jumps up from the mud. Big flap of his wings that causes winds to echo through this whole cavern, like a giant wind tunnel. Your hair goes up, you guys are like pushed back a little bit as he purches closer to you guys. Yeah, plan is feeling crazy. Crazy, indeed. The prey has gotten both lately. I had too much mercy I had too much mercy locking you up in cages. I should have added you to the horde. You see lightning strikes that just magically conjure this urinside cave. There's just like sort of a full storm brewing in here and in the flash of lightning you see lining the walls are decaying bodies and skeletons trapped in muck. Oh, this is the horde.

Starting point is 00:51:26 It's gonna be hard to drag my body out of here. Everybody go ahead and roll it. Okay. Oh, okay. Ah, all right. Here's how this is gonna work. People have got some fun mechanics. Let me hand out some stat sheets.

Starting point is 00:51:40 Oh, you're past it. Because you guys are gonna get to, you guys are gonna work with your dragons. Your dragons have their own motivation, so they might stray from you guys every gonna get to, you guys are gonna work with your dragons. It's more like if Shroomrot is like,

Starting point is 00:51:56 I need to go down there to save the deep elves or something, he might leave. But you guys can roll their attacks. So here is Shroomrot, and there is a card that has whether his dragon breath is charged or not. Flip that over after you use it. This is sick. Then we have Big Bev is going over to Callie here. And then we've got Princess Shiverblade going over to Calder here. She's a queen to me. She is a queen.

You guys fly up to one of the broken bridges and he puts Saul down, puts you guys down off his back and you see the scales begin to disappear and it begins to turn back into a Crick Elarth and he cradles Saul as a bonus action takes out a potion and he feeds it to him and Saul you pop back up I was in a swamp where nobody knew who Shiver Blight was I wish I'd all go there
