Yeah, yeah. You were then brought to a guest's stump where Callian Saul shared a moulson and mourned a loss of their friend, Calder. Saul went off to meditate and used his link to Shroomrot to connect to the fungus around the creek, beginning to learn the secrets of death and decay. A little bit later, Cali had a discussion with Oberon, where she continued her transformation

into a winter eladrin. Saul and Cali came together and Saul revealed he'd learned that Ultris was heading towards the Iron Deep Mountains. The next morning, Mima offered you a guide there and brought you to the edge of town, where you found a broken-down airship inside. And a broken-down man. And a broken-down man. And a broken-down man. The airship of the M-is a mirror of the man.

Inside was the legendary hero, hard-won, sure-footfoot looking a little small of calf and quad. Yeah. But full of bean and beard. Hard one was hesitant to join you at first, but after a long talk about beans and a fake assassin. Editorializing. Yeah, and a fake assassination attempt by Callie Serpent. He jumped into action.

He then agreed to join your quest and he were transported to the living wood by Mima, then escorted by Ellsoran Agnius to the mountains. There, you began your hike trying to stay ahead of the no-l hunting packs. After a day of climbing, Saul pushed himself to the point of exhaustion and the party was forced to settle down for the night and Callie's Leamon's tiny duck. Intro Rose for that. Intro-rose. During the night, you heard the howls of noles in the distance signaling that they were onto your scent.

Callie sent an unseen serpent out into the mountains. Another intro-rose. Why not? She's got pussed. Who's gonna stop you? You're a madman. And she did her best to mask your presence as the night progressed. You engaged in a wrestling match Which saw hard one reluctantly join only to win the newly

Invigorated hard one slept soundly for the first time in a long time and that's where we are now hard one rips ass in a sleep Hard one is sleeping so deeply for the first time in a while. But the sun rises the next morning. And Callie and Saul, you guys can see it poking through the windows, cascading over the interior of the duck. Hard one as usual is late to rise. He's the last up. I think we both just stand over him, whispering, should we wake him up? I don't know, we look so happy. I know. It smells really bad though. Hard one burps, hearts and yawns. Hard one pops up. What do you guys do for your morning routine here in the? Liam months tiny duck. Well, you know normally I would make eggs, but since we got so many beans I'm gonna make beans and eggs. We do have like so many duck eggs Clusters it okay gave we eat this. Warrr. Alrighty. Anything to get you guys off the B&C. Cluster is excited for you to eat eggs.

Yeah, yeah, strobe some eggs. I like, I like them running with a little shell in there. Yeah, that crunch starts the morning. Yeah, it's extra protein, I understand. That's right. All right. Yeah, I, I says left the eggs uh and then hard wasn't looking I throw one at him to see you can catch it oh wow go ahead and give me a

dexterity saving throw hard one uh that's a 13 I'll use comforting you. And I'm proud of myself and think it was the point. I don't know what I expected to happen, but that's great. I can crush any egg you throw my way. There is like a housekeeping service. Just so everyone knows, like there's a fee attached to the layman's tiny duck. Showerman pats down his pocket, getting egg all over his pants.

I think all cozy up, since we have this like translucent hut, I think I'll just cozy up and safely watch the scenery around us. Great, yeah. You know what? of the rules with the knoll packs that are haunting you guys. So they show up after they beat you on three rules, but they get two successes if they beat you by five or more. However, Cali did send off a false scent, which was a pretty clever plan.

The sun is shining, offering respite from the Cool Mountain air. You guys begin descending down as you wind around the other side of this first mountain that you had climbed yesterday. And below you you see a long stretch of valley. The mountain's widened out, hundreds of feet in both directions. The hot sun beats down on the stretch of emptiness between the rocks. Everybody go ahead and give me perception checks. Eight. Eight, okay.

I'm just looking at a false derby and like, go to what I think you should have caused. It's supposed to be gone by now. You somehow throwing up eggs instead of laying them. Gotta wear my goggles at this going on. That's in 11? OK. And I got a 14.

OK, great. Stay low. In the valley ahead of you guys, you do see some skeletons, bones picked clean by some kind of predator. You also see scraps of metal. It looks like some kind of vehicle or You also see scraps of metal. It looks like some kind of vehicle or automaton was torn apart here.

Does it look like the ones we encountered outside of Shiver Blights layer? You're a little too far and a little too low of a roll. Got you for that info. A mothership insignia. You do not see any kind of insignia from here. This is quite far away, but you guys do see, and I'll say a hard one specifically with a 14, you see two cloudbreakers.

These enormous 60-foot wing-spaned birds with azure blue feathers stalking the canyon, looking for creatures, humanoids, or they're known to even pick off giants wandering the valley. Where eggs to them? Yeah. So you guys see the stretch of open valley is 200 feet. At that point, you see that there's like a huge crack in the cliff face ahead, which

looks like it feeds into like a narrow fissure where the birds couldn't fit. So if you can get past this area of 200 feet, you can safely get past the birds and kind of enter like a little cave system. It does it look like we can stealth. So you can stealth. There's kind of a couple ways to go about this. So in this stretch of open valley, there are some places to hide. You see that some of the skeletons look like they were going for this plan. It just didn't work out for them, but maybe

they weren't as hard of you of adventurers as you. You see that almost every 50 feet, there are different like rock inlets and stuff that looks like you can hide behind and possibly get cover from. So the question is, do you dash for these spots and just cover up as best you can? The only problem with a full stealth

is that on the one hand, you can get a flawless victory and just sneak by them and none of them ever see you. On the other hand, they essentially have actions prepared. So if they see you and they catch you out in the open, they're going to fly down and just start pecking you apart. Okay. Should we disguise ourselves as skeletons and just roll all the way across?

Um, I love the idea of that. Just a first thought. Yeah, I, I love the idea of that. Just the first thought. Yeah, I, I love that. I'm just afraid that like we won't smell like death. We'll smell like life. Okay. I feel like predators use more than just imagery. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Actually though, I do want to follow this thread. How do you suggest disguising ourselves as skeletons? Yeah. So we're going to need like, you know, like a black bodyysuit first of all. Yeah, I wanna say, I've been dreamed. This is exactly as I dream.

I like going to play house mode and I go into prop mode. I'm like, okay, okay. Like theater, dance suit. Shit, are you guys theater kits? No, am I on this adventure with a bunch of goddamn theater kits? Salt drops Kelly's hand. No squeezing.

before you get fully down into the valley You take some time and you summon your silver I think that I'm like keeping up the illusions a hard one So I like look in the sky and I'm like look at that. It finally feels safe to come to us It's the good brother. Oh, and then I summon it to be really small and then like come closer as if it's like We're descending upon us. It looks so similar. How could you tell the difference? Oh well. One of them is mercury color. The other is aluminum color.

So you see the serpent gathers around Kelly's legs and kind of pops you up has warhorse stats So has has that speed whatever that may be is it 40 feet 60 feet or add okay So as you guys get down into the actual valley before you start your run You see that's the first kind of area of cover is 50 feet away

You basically see like a rock inlets where you'd be able to like tuck yourself away like into the shade. And this is where just outside of it, there are the metal parts of like an automaton. Okay. So we could like maybe inspect the automaton if we got to this place 50 feet away. Yeah. I mean, you seem like a bit of a mechanic. Yeah, I actually used to have a mine car. And I don't know if you guys saw my boat, but I'm still thinking about fixing it up.

They can take to the sky again, no problem. It definitely had like a DIY appeal. Yes, it's very cottage core. So do you think that you could repair this automaton? I'd have to get under the hood, but I feel like I can say with 100% confidence, yes. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. I mean, he but I feel like I can say with the 100% confidence yes. I Mean he's got goggles. How can someone with the goggles not know how to repair it? Egg drops into his eye.

near these automaton parts. You see some kind of like bladed arm and the remains of a metal carapace, like some kind of clockwork automaton. You don't have a lot of time to inspect it. You literally slide into the rocks here and is there anything you would like to do with the rest of your turn as these two enormous dragon-sized birds fly down and begin pecking at the rocks. Saul's heart is beating really fast but he slows it down a little bit and focuses on dodging

and is gonna try and use his reaction to stunnings strike one if it hits him. Sick, okay, so yeah, you get in this little crevasse, you calm yourself, you feel kind of the spores from a schrumrat going through your body and kind of calming you, you just ready your fist and if one of them actually hits you, if one of their beaks actually gets in, you're gonna pop them.

With three quarters cover, you get a plus five to AC. So they have disadvantage against you because you're cloak of displacement. They will go ahead and make attacks. You have plus five, so your AC is 25 rolling with disadvantage. These guys do have high attacks. So first one will do a beak, unfortunately 25 to hit on the lower one. So you do see a beak comes in, it takes a bite out of you for 27 damage. So bites into one of your arms and begins tearing it, you find a pull you out, but you punch

with the other hand, also you have a reaction prepared, go ahead and take it. That is a 10 and a 13. They miss, you try to pop this bird real quick two times, but I'll say that it has its beak around your one fist and you are unable to get to it. I just scream in unison with the bird. Ah! Ah!

Ah! Ah! Kind of makes you question your love of birds, right? I say clutching foster and looking at car. Yeah, beautiful beast. The birds are going to continue and go at salt with their talons. That's what I've always respected about birds. They're raw power.

19 misses. So this thing can only get its beak in. And you see the other one that's hunting with it kind of pushes it out of the way. And it's going to take an attempt. This one's a little bigger. Cannot get in as you're pulling yourself back into this little crevasse. Takes an attack with its talons. And that is a seven. That's a 20, which does not hit because you've got three quarters covered. So once again, scraping at the rocks with the talons

but cannot get to you. Ah! Ah! Yeah, hard one. These are the things that helped tear apart the SS stormboard as you were flying over the Iron D mountains. Yeah. You saw the crack in the hole. That was these birds. I had nothing to do with me not knowing how to hear a little part. You faced a bunch of these birds, but-

I ran from them, yes, heroically so. That I mean, retreat is honorable, anytime. There's many times that there's honor in retreat. Okay, I'm glad you hear you say that. A lot of people think, yeah, yeah. These birds try to pull salt out of there, like worms out of a hole. That is a Cali's turn, hard one,

you've got a held action whenever you like. So I think I like, as if I'm on a motorcycle, kick my foot down to like rev the serpent. And then I- She's the thing, I have an engine. Look, back at hard one. And I say, do you want to ride? Can I?

And then I'm going to using the rune of my mother, slash Ariox, I'm going to trace that sigil and cast in large on the serpent. Wow, I was just about to look at how much the warhorse could carry. But yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, you cast too large on the serpent. And I'm saying, can I fill? Oh, yeah. Sorry, I kind of have a thing of like making animals bigger or smaller, I guess. Starfire begins to glow as it begins to expand,

and yet you see this giant serpent before you, kicks with its tail and pops hard one onto the back. I've always been an animal lover. That's my action, but I wanna use the serpent's full action to sort of like glide by where Saul is and maybe a hard one can try and grab him. Great, okay, so we'll do this halfway through your movement because there is at 120 feet,

there's another place where you can get quarter cover, so plus two, so you... So he has 120 feet. Right, so you ride up, you go 50 feet first, you see these two birds are trying to bite at Saul as he hides in this little inlet? Put your pecking. Hard one, I'll say, go ahead and do athletics checks

against these two birds. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I do have a bonus action to give him a bardic inspiration. So you give him a bardic inspiration. Thanks. The end of the Feywild. This first one gets an 11. A while is in my debt.

And next to it, you find another skeleton that looks like it was unsuccessful in escaping the cloud breakers. Everybody, as you guys ride up and hide behind this rock, go ahead and give me perception checks.

Yeah, 19. Oh, look at that! Like birds of a feather. My fellow bird lover. Yoke running down the back of my neck. I'm so sick of all these giant birds. It's the beast lands all over again. Why slap Saul?

You bite your tongue. It's all hits you with his tongue and then bites it. So you guys see that this skeleton here has a strange thing on the back of its neck. It's about a foot long. It is connected to the back of its skull, and it looks like it had burrowed in there, and it was also connected to its spine.

Wow. Oh. Wait a second, like some sort of parasite. Does it? It looks artificial, but you get the sense that it could be some kind of parasite thing. Is it here? It is in the skeleton.

It looks like the skeleton was a host. We need to grab it. Is it inert? It looks inert? Cali, let's be very careful with that thing. Do you wanna use like, mage hand or something to grab that? I don't think I have mage hand.

Can I wrap it up in my cloak? Yeah, great. I could do divine sense, but that would take an action. Yup, yeah. A hard one, you scoop it up in your cloak, and we're going to continue with the initiative. So we're back up at the top of the order,

that is hard one's turn. But you are kinda just stuck on this serpent, unless you wanna get out and run. I mean, I feel pretty good on the serpent. I think we're not recommend running. And there's about 80 feet left. You guys have gone 120 feet. There are 80 feet left. There's also at 170 feet,
