Wow. It was so good. When you say it with Kalaipi's voice, it does make it your own, so that does work. Even though Kalaipi doesn't call her Liz. Oh, you're right. Wondering what the shit's with Zunark and Alizatris. Wow. This is a great theme. I'm glad we're all just united.

I guess I could have just said, I'm wondering what's with Zunark and Alizatris. You also could have said, wondering what to do about Zunark and Triss too. Oh, and just T-O-O. Oh, yeah, you're right. Yeah. I've botched this. I'll fix this all in post.

Wondering what to do, things are feeling dark because of that girl who's with Zunark. Whoa. Whoa, thank you very much, thank you, yes. Very good, very good. Thank you. Yes. Very good. Very good. It's weird.

I had that all written down and then everybody stole from me, apparently. Yeah. Well, Jake stole from me first, actually. Yeah. No, I'll say, I just heard Jake's and I was like, we gotta hear that again. We know.

It was that perfect. We were there. Do and to? I mean, who thinks of that shit? Except Hurwitz. Sometimes when we're like scheduling stuff on the text thread, everyone will respond with the exact same thing, and it like really freaks me out.

And this is kind of like, I'm getting a similar level of anxiety spike from this. It's usually a pun about mining. No, I was going to say, it's either Murph-ict or Sexy. Yeah. Which Sexy is an allusion to Mavis. Sexy. Sexy. Sexy!

Sexy! Terrible. Alright, let's go ahead and do a little recap. I hate him. So last time, you evacuated the Hedge Knight Barracks just as agents of the Winter Court were teleporting in to capture you. As you made your way out a back exit, you were ambushed by knights atop griffons and fate-bringer mages on gloam wings. Saul was able to draw one of the mages out into the woods but the

rest of you were shot at with arrows and fireballs. As more enemies teleported in Zunark and Triss too ran in a separate direction to draw their attention. You dashed into the woods as taking out your pursuers with unique attacks. Kali and called her down to gloam wing with a combination smite slash freezing ray. Cali commanded a crew of knights to flee and reduced a griffin carrying a fate bringer mage to a teapot griffin. While Calder used a slow via shard to stop another, Saul was able to climb the treetops and ambush the other fate bringer mage,

stunning him and knocking him out of the air. Epic. Yeah yeah it was pretty freaking epic we're a bunch of just shrubbers over here with all these ambushes oh yeah as you fought off the remaining pursuers Kali attempted to hide with licorice but she was discovered by a solitary knight the night hopped on the back of your mount and revealed himself to be Glenn before chopping off a lock of Kali's hair and receiving a smite as payback. It was a good one too. I rolled well. Thank you to the dice for that. Glenn can't take too many of those. Glenn disappeared into the woods,

presumably teleporting away with a fatebringer mage who would make good use of the hair from Kali. In the dark, the four of you met up and made a plan for how to avoid detection. Saul called Ursia, who said she could cast non-detection on Calli for 24 hours, but after that the shell phone would be useless. You agreed to have it go into effect the next day, and went to bed for the night. The next morning, you made for the coast, where you were told to follow the shore to a grotto to meet Zunark's dragon turtle friend, Lazlo. But once you got to the shore, you saw that Zunark and Triss too,

had been captured by a force of Wintercourt Knights, loading them onto a boat. And that's where we are now. Okay. Okay. Okay, lay of the land, how many Knights are we looking at? Okay, so you are in the forest, overlooking this rocky shore.

Tall banners of black and blue symbols of the unsealed crown in silvery white. You see over a dozen knights on the deck as well as a full crew with ballistas and manganelles and all kinds of weapons. The captain that is in charge of them is this ice troll warlord. Has this like big jagged blade on his back and spiky pauldrons and black armor overhead you see four knights on griffin back circling and after a moment you see a security escort two more air ships with great balloons keeping them hovering

about 50 feet over ahead you can't get a uh you can give me perception checks to see how much you can see about uh uh, who's, who's on board up there. Nat won my first roll on my birthday. Callie, those, oh, happy birthday to Emily Axelrod, I wasn't sure that. Wow, birth, did you not know that? Emily specifically said up top she didn't know that she wanted to mention that it was her birthday and then did it on the first roll. I said, I said, we'll wait for a crit thinking it would be a Nat 20. Ah, I think she should get to reroll because it was her birthday on the first row. You're used to hiding in the woods, so you're not concentrating as hard as these guys are. Facing the trunk of a tree. You've got your swamp camouflage. You're looking out and you see that there are 40 or 50 people on this giant warship that Zunark is being loaded onto with Tristu, and there are about a dozen, probably over a dozen, but they look like little dots from

here up in the airships. The airships are loaded with things like harpoons and things that could fling down into the water. Do you say there's a dozen on one of the airships? Looks like at least a dozen. Do we take an airship? I mean, that's gonna be, we're gonna have to take something to even the odds here.

Yeah. We could take an airship. I wonder if we could like, contact Laslo, that dragon turtle, if we could like meet up with him, cause that's, he's a siege weapon unto himself, right? Right. So maybe we, we let them be loaded on we watch where these ships head then we try to meet up with lazlo with lazlo we might be able to take out one of the lesser ships and and turn the

tides in our favor is there a way we could get onto the airship? That's what I'm wondering. I mean if this if if you two are both feeling let's try and find Laszlo then let's do that and use Laszlo to try to take a ship. I guess like I Feel like a battle on the open sea. Well number one, it sounds really fun. But number two Strategically might be good. And also we've got licorice and honeysuckle licorice can fly up there to an airship maybe right? Okay, so that's maybe that's a good backup plan if we're on the sea we need to like take down the airship. Okay okay so we're gonna go try and find the dragon turts. Yeah I think I think finding a powerful ally is the way to go. I hate to leave them tied up like that I hope they don't get like tortured or something. Yeah that's what I'm feeling like I'm feeling nervous about just leaving them but I mean look

this is short-term gains versus you know long-term benefit so I don't think we're not gonna be able to stop them from getting we can't fight a whole army by ourselves right is there a way to get them a message just so they know we're working to come for them yeah yeah because that might I mean I'd want to know right yeah yeah I want to know just to delay, delay the worst. To not give up hope. Yeah. To not give up any information.

Yeah, I think personally, my best option is to try to send an unseen serpent with a bit of parchment. I don't have any other way. I mean, I could try and get a frog to deliver the message. Do you want to do that? Sure, yeah, are there any frogs around? Frogs and toads? Just feel like something invisible might be better than a frog

You're sending that message in to certain a little frog hops over I'm gonna speak with animals. Are you a brave frog? No You are today. I can turn this frog invisible I have invisibility. Okay, but then we then we're just spending more spells to do unseen serpent you send the frog and the unseen serpent second-level spells to turn the frog into unseen service which is a first level spell we might actually be good. Okay. I think we're fine

What's going on in your life? You married you have children good question. Yeah. Yeah, you have children. Yeah, how many? Thousands, but they mean I don't know if we should send him on a dangerous None of them are financially independent yet. No kids these days. I tell you, they just don't want to work. Let's send a Decoy message with him Message that says sorry we've been killed Me to go down and confront those people that are loitering near my property You don't have to like mess with them too much. Just find out what they're doing. They look disrespectful. They're really disrespectful. Would you believe they cuss? I know you do, but they are. Yeah, some of them are women. And they're cursing. That's not right.

Puts on his hat that says it was better when it was a Glen, amen, and then begins hopping down to the boat and you just see this little frog Croaking at Zunark and the other nights and you just see one of the nights absentmindedly kicks it into the water Okay concurrently as that's happening I send down my unseen serpent I'll say the unseen serpent can kind of just like whisper a little message. No, I'm sending it with a bit of parchment to rolled up that just says stay strong we're

coming. Okay, great. Go ahead and give me I'll say you can use your stealth and you can do it with advantage because you have the distraction of boomer frog. They could not understand. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Oh, one and a 20 to start. of BoomerFrog who they could not understand. I'm Chris! Whoa! Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday. A one and a 20 to start, that's awesome. Yeah, wild. Both ends of the spectrum. Isn't that birth, right? It's a nat one and also a nat 20. Boomer the Frog goes down there and starts chastising people for cursing on his property.

Oh my god. But it's just croaking. Does he actually own this land? I don't think so. He just starts croaking at people and they don't speak frogs so they don't know what he's saying. But he looks like this indignant little frog that's wearing a weird hat. He is giving them a real talk into it. Yeah, he's giving them a hard time. I can hear everything.

They try to ignore him, but he's so loud that eventually they have to move him and just kind of throw him in the water. And in that moment, you see Zunark grabs the note. He's got bound hands, but you see he glances down at it real quick before like crumpling it and destroying it so no one can find it. But he looks like a little heartened and looks up and kind of looks around. Great, great. Okay, awesome. Okay.

That went great. Yeah, sort of. That went exactly as I pictured it would. That frog's kids definitely don't talk to him, so this is the best day of his life. It's true. And he definitely wonders why. They're all ingrates. Yeah.

All right. I guess let's get the hell out of here. Let's get away from this whatever is going on in this area. I don't want to- Don't say hell. Someone might yell at us. Yeah. I don't want to be a boomer in the frogs area I don't want to be in Boomer the Frog's area

Parking management is gonna get called on us somehow Okay, okay, we make haste So you guys stay? amongst the tree line here and go further through the woods and eventually You guys are kind of following the shoreline here, and eventually you come to a cliffside that juts out from the shore. There's a rock formation that has like large cracks in it, goes out a bit like into the water and out in front you do see that there are some water nymphs, these little fairy looking water elementals.

Zanarkdin, tell us any of their names. I know he was woefully unprepared should we summon another frog no let's just go in I think that like it's all mind games with them right this is like you're at the club how do you make a good first impression I obviously don't know yeah have you have you ever been to a club other than the one we went to where swag was. I really thought Calder was going to show up and say, yeah, I've been to a club. Really? Really.

The lantern was the first club I've ever been to. And I wasn't even there. Okay, so what were people doing in the lantern? A part of a club for squires where we all talk about the new techniques for handing weapons and stuff to people. I nominate Kenna. Okay. Okay, Kenna, will you be the face? Of course. Okay. And you see, Kenna turns back around and just starts crying, goes, what do you think they meant by vintage? No, Kenna, you look the face. Vintage is very good. Okay. Okay, because I think objects like hold the memory of all the previous owners.

Okay. So it seems like you're really multifaceted. Okay. Okay, I'll give it a shot. Okay. I start walking towards the Watanimps. Oh, did you just get a haircut? Yeah, I haven't finished it.

I'm in between. Oh no, we can tell. Okay, well good, because I like to be perceived as I am. I splash her with water playfully. What the fuck? I turn around and I run away. I failed! I failed! Oh my god!

Okay, wait, wait, wait guys. This always worked for me back at Launchpad. Let me give it a shot. Saul's going to walk over and he's gonna trip so hard that he skins his knee and blood comes out and he cries a little bit and whimpers. It makes himself seem really pathetic. And it's just, oh, gosh, I'm really sorry.

That must have been so stupid and annoying for you to have to watch that. Oh my god, he's like the lead of a rom-com. It's perfect. Uh, Saul, go ahead and give me a performance check with advantage. He's crying and flexing at the same time. He's crying and flexing, being that hot, but also having this one adorable flaw of being clumsy. Holy shit.

Oh my god. Saul, start sounding like Hugh Grant. I'm just terribly sorry that you had to watch that. Oh my goodness. Flustered and strong. It's all false. And he's flexing so hard as he's trying to get back up. Can I press the digitation whatever prime ministers wear?

Maybe they have a wig or a suit. A suit? Yeah. He's wearing a weird suit. He has an attache. Like a casual sweater. Good Lord. That's a one and a five.

See, they kind of look around at each other, not sure what to do. Do you happen to know if there's perhaps a dragon turtle in this cave anywhere? I do pushups as I say it. Oh, wow, you're crypt and British. They look interesting. Oh, dragon turtle?

I don't know why you'd want to hang out with him. But also, I don't know, he's in one of those stupid caves or whatever. Like, I'll give a shit. Points at the giant rock formation. You can just swim right in the water if you want. Just kind of go under and just get in there. I can just get right in the water? Just get right in the water.

Okay, well I'm eavesdropping. Can I do a history check or something? I used to live here. Do I know if this is like a common thing that the water nymphs are gonna try to trick you into their pool? Definitely. So they're not the type of creature that's going to lure you in and then like- Are they like a Rusulka?

They're not like a Rusulka where they're going to bring you in and drown you, but they are like kind of like fairy folks. So they definitely might just like swim around with you until you drown like just by accident almost so they're definitely like weird chaotic neutral fairy beings. You can breathe underwater though. Yeah well okay. I can hold my breath for a long time. Yeah okay then I think it's alright. Well I'm sorry I'm just you know I'm so lonely normally and I don't talk with

you know beautiful ladies such as yourself very often. I'm a single father as it were so you know I'm just very you know, I'm so lonely normally and I don't talk with, you know, beautiful ladies such as yourself very often. I'm a single father, as it were. So, you know, I'm just very often just trying to like provide for my child, but I don't have much time to get out in the world. But gosh, maybe a swim by myself. That would be lovely. What a lovely opportunity.

I'm gonna press a digitation, a blackberry going nuts with important texts. Wow, you're really, you're trying to have it all. I take the blackberry and I throw it in the water. Not today, not today. This is the beginning of your story. And I want to be a part of it. So you see they gather together into one watery form,

swirling like a mini water goddess who then reaches a handout and offers you, I'll describe it as an erotic embrace. She beckons you to the water. Let's give it a go. Splash in. You see they pull Saul into the ocean and Saul, you experience like a strange dancing

under the water with these water elementals that start like spinning around you and swirling around you and you feel your body radiating with energy as a magical charge going through you. And you guys see that- Kali, do you think he's still doing the Hugh Grant voice underwater? I'm terribly sorry. I do think so, yeah.

Saul is straight up- Me too, me too. Saul is straight up under there for like 10 or 15 minutes. All right, yeah, let's party. Wow, okay. I mean, I don't want to interrupt it. I feel like we give him a solid 20. And if he's not up, then I'm going to go cast Protection from Evil and Good. Okay.

While I'm underwater, can I see if I like detect any movement from like a giant turtle or like another passageway underwater or something like that. Yeah you see that there is just an underground cave entrance these water nymphs have absolutely nothing to do with it. You're just enjoying your time. I think I'm going to try and lead them away so that Callie and Calder can investigate without being perturbed. Yeah, you guys are spinning and having like, somewhere between casting spells on each other slash having sex, slash doing like an avatar tail-lengthing.

That is just a pure magical whirlpool. I think I try to make it the most like, 90s rom-com thing to say after having sex and I'm just like do you like frozen yogurt? I know a place right down the coast that makes delicious frozen yogurt. Okay, Calder do you think that we interrupt, do you think he's doing this to like, let us get through or is that just a happy coincidence? I thought he was doing that for the first 10 minutes, but the last 10 minutes I think have been just for him. Yeah, 10 for him, 10 for him.

They're just like a water tornado that's just like moving away. Okay, so let's take advantage of this anyways. Yeah, all right, let's go in. Calder's wearing like an old timey bathing suit that has a top and a bottom. I'm gonna put in the rebreather. Yeah, yeah.

Oh, nice. Yeah, you've got a breather. Oh, nice. So that we can breathe water, because if we're gonna fight ships, we might need them anyways. All right, yeah. Okay.

I have one of these too, right? Yes, yes, you guys have it from when you were in Sunere and whatnot. I'm gonna dive in and I'm really trying to like stay the course, but I am very distracted by the tornado. Yeah. I can't see anything.

It's twirling so fast. It's all thanks back to what Callie was saying about toxic relationships and just kind of giving yourself over to her every once in a while. And she just goes for it. You see, as soon as like the water breaks, it's almost like the whole thing was an illusion and the water nymphs disappear and Saul kind of stops spinning and is just left there in the middle of the water. And Callie, you swim up and see Saul not too far away from you.

I was the Prime Minister. Does that make sense? That was awesome. I don't know how to say this. What were you saying about frozen yogurt? You have more game than anyone I've ever met. I think I scored. If that's not scoring, I don't want to score. Can you just recap that for everybody? You went over, you fell down, cried, and then... Put on a British accent. Stumbled over your words for a while. And then you had like a Menage 10 with all of those nymphs. You made yourself a bad speaker even though you're pretending to be in an office that requires public speaking.

It's actually called a Menage H2O when you're doing it with the nymphs. Um, I don't know. I just kind of went with it. I think like with nymphs, you got to just go with the flow, right? I will. I don't know. I am going to take that as a lesson for the future. Thank you for paving the path for us so that we may walk it.

It's apparently just all about confidence. So it feels like he knows less about flirting now. Yeah, you're just fully closed. Like, everything is the same, but you're just like, what the fuck just happened? Calliope takes out a flirting notebook and writes, pretend to be Hugh Graham. I mean, I mean. It works for Hugh. Pretend to be Hugh Graham. I mean, I mean. It works for Hugh.

All right. Let's go down and meet Laszlo. And you can be the face because you have a glow about you right now. Oh, really? Huh. Can I get any more of those power bars? Yeah, she gives you a granola bar.

Let's do this. Let's meet Laszlo. Sweet. So you guys swim under this rock formation here and enter a cave through the water. You pull yourself out and enter this beautiful grotto with coral all along the walls, glowing fungi and plant life. It feeds into a wide tunnel and after a few dozen feet of rocks beneath your feet, you see it gives way to a massive pool of mud. A massive pool of mud? Where's the turtle? Am I?

Is it a mud turtle? In my heart, I'm a rainy day eladrin, so I flock towards the mud. I'm ready to stomp in it with my boots. Hell yeah. You go over and you start stomping in your boots in the mud and it is wildly thick and as you like stick a foot in you start to sink it's almost like quicksand. I grab Callie. I stick out my tongue so she can grab onto it. Wow this thing has seen some action. Are these calluses?

There's love nibbles all over it, up and down. Hickey's on my tongue. My God, Mr. Prime Minister. You serve your country. Okay. Let's just run the tape back. I'm wondering, you know, sometimes during like long winters in the water park, I would just like crawl under some mud and go to sleep just to stay warm.

Oh, maybe that's it. Maybe we just have to tie something around somebody and send them down through the muck. Could you breathe in this? Let me see what it says on my sheet. Your skin absorbs oxygen when submerged allowing you to breathe underwater You can swim speed equal to your base movement speed And I can see underwater. That's what I would say for the I would say for the purposes of this in other quicksand Maybe not but this is looks like it was specifically designed for like an amphibian to sleep in. So I would say that Saul would be, at the very least, would be able to last longer down there than a lot of other people.

Okay, so it might be like reduced movement speed that can go down there? Yeah. You want to tie a rope to me? Yeah, just in case. Just in case, right. Yeah, okay. Okay, Saul gives them his Blackberry. It's blowing up.

God, there's so many notifications. I don't know how to tell them it was a Prestidigitation, and it's an illusion. Is this a real company? But then I look at it, and I'm like, the more he believes in it, the more real it becomes. What is Faye Corp? Just a, he didn't have a job, I didn't think.

How else am I supposed to check my LinkedIn, which I canonically have? So you guys tie ropes to Saul. And Saul, you jump in, begin sinking in this deep, deep mud. You guys immediately feel the rope kind of tense because of all of the weight of this mud as he goes down. Saul, you go down, you know, just like darkness all around you. You feel a lot of pressure from all this like dirt and mud,

but you just like kind of concentrate and take this meditative state so you don't like panic or anything. And eventually you feel something rocky beneath you. Can I have right before he descended have given him a bardic? Yes, definitely. I guess I'll reach out and touch it and see if it feels like a shell. You reach down and touch it and it see if it feels like a shell you reach down and touch it and it does It feels like a shell it feels extremely hard not quite like a rock, but you think that this this might be your dude All right, well, I'm gonna try and position myself towards the face of the shell where the face hole would be okay

Yeah, you start going forward And just sort of feeling along this giant turtle shell and you crawl and you crawl and you crawl and you guys see the rope like keeps like wrapping around and you're having to use a lot of rope in fact you're having to tie one to another this thing is so massive Oh my god I hope he remembers to talk like Hugh Grant when he speaks to this thing Luckily he's already bleeding from the knee.

So that's in play. OK, so there's blood in the water. That's good. And eventually, you do get past this hard shell. And it feels more like scales at a certain point. And you feel the very, very slow expansion of something's breath. But again, you were like buried in this mud, you're dug super deep, you can't really see anything, you just feel it's just like, oh, extremely hard thing, hardest thing possible,

hard as a rock to, uh, slightly less hard than a rock maybe and also moving a little bit and you get the sense that this is this thing's scales or its neck I look around see bones about my size just floating around in the mud It would just be fish bones Well, I'm too far down to give up now. The crew scrambles to hang on and get to their weapons, just as Lazlo lets out a magic breath weapon. You see, he breathes a steaming fire breath into a wave of water that splashes onto the deck, brutally scalding everyone. Just horrified screams going up. Now this is how you enter the club. I think I understand now. You see, see the 40 some odd crew members and Knights there are gonna make con saving throws

I'm gonna say he's gonna hit at least half. You see a bunch of like the lesser sort of foot soldiers just get knocked off into the water or die instantly. The survivors consolidate into smaller squads instead of eight. There are now four. The evoker mage is still around and of eight, there are now four. The Evoker mage is still around and the airships are still around. You see, they get ready to fire down onto you. These guys who are still willing to fight get ready to fight, but Saul, you are first to act. Okay. As they all look up at the beast, like the sun glinting off of his shell,

Other one also hits on another one so um hits into his shell that one only does eight damage so it barely like hurts him at all but you do see these huge chains connect to Laslo and uh they're connected 50 feet into the air to each of the air ships that are now pulling him. He can definitely still fight down here but he's gonna be a little bit hard for him to get away. He's gonna use attacks to essentially get out. I'm getting rid of those chains. Okay, after the warship and the airships turns, that is the knight's turns.

There are 11 knights that have three HP. I'm going to do, just doing like a courage check. Anyone who rolls lower than a six, that squad just like fucking cheeses it and runs. Cause there's just like a dragon on their boat that they weren't expecting. It's fair, honestly. It's really honestly fair.

So he's like grunting, but getting ready to fight, like he's got claws, he's getting like his flippers up getting ready to fight. Um, the remaining four are going to surround Saul and take some cracks.

Okay, good luck hitting him. He's covered in slime. That is... Oh man, he's covered in slime. He is with disadvantage. So I'll do this all at once and take the lowest rolls. He's the slime minister, so he has a security attache. What does that mean? You don't deserve the context. You'll die wishing you knew. Go to your grave saying what? With the disadvantage, two guys miss right off the bat

with both attacks. 19 on the last attack by the last guy. 19 misses. Whoa! Yay! Even I knew that! You slip out of the way. Again, Saul is just like jumping on top of these dudes heads,

just dodging these swords as they poke and stab at him. Cannot hit Saul. That is all of the knights that are on the ship. There are knights on Griffin back that are now going to take shots down. There are truly so many dudes. The knights on Gryphonback are going to... I'll say they see you guys riding the back,

so they're going to start shooting arrows down. First two will go after Calder, second two will go after Kaliope. Okay. Twenty and a twenty-three to hit you, Calder. Other two definitely miss. I'll use Shield. Bam!

Shield goes up, arrows pink off, and fall harmlessly into the ocean. It looks like an ice turtle shell on my back. Hell yeah. Woo! Two more guys go at Calliope. One guy misses entirely with both attacks. Other guy possibly hits with two attacks, gets a 24 and a 23. Okay, I will Defensive Flourish so that the 23 misses.

Hell yeah. Bring your sword up, knock one of the arrows in the air, get hit by the other one for 14 damage. After those knights, you see knights up on the airship take out crossbows and start shooting down onto the deck I guess just at Lazlo. They can't really see you guys too well from up there. So they start firing shots Can I use a reaction to try and grab one of those? They're not firing at you. Okay, so not yet All right, um of all of the crossbow fire from the airships

I rolled it all at once very hard for them to hit only get three hits in and do another 22 damage. Oof okay. So Laszlo's taken like about a hundred damage which is which is no joke he definitely can't keep tanking the entire battlefield here but some of these guys will hopefully die soon there's a lot of injured people on the battlefield. After that turn you guys rolled really bad at initiative that's the the Swarms of Guards turns. So four of them are going to go up and take cracks at Lazlo here. You see they've got like spears and harpoons and go up and just start trying to get into like his neck. Two hits, another 34 damage. So you see they are stabbing into Laslo and doing not an insignificant amount of damage. After Swarms of Guards turns.

No more, guys, come on, man. Surely, it's one of us, surely. That is Callie's turn. Okay, everyone, that's just, how many people are currently swarmed on Laslo? Because I want to do an area of effect on all of them. There are four Swarms of guards, nine knights. Okay, so I want to do a shatter on those four swarms and the eight knights.

Yeah, you you hold your hand out and with like a burst of starfire from in front of the dragon turtle there is an explosion that brings up wood planks and everything from the warship. You fully take out another swarm of guards and you half another one and you see one, two, three, four,

five, six, seven, eight knights die. Just get blown up in the starfire shatter as they scatter off into the water and one of them takes not an insignificant amount of damage and looks pretty hurt and worried as most of his comrades blow up. So that was my action. I'm going to turn to Kenna and say, Kenna, I need some help. Do you want to be my bunk buddy? Of course. Okay. Hop on Licorice. And then I want to fly up to one of the ships that's attached via chain to Laszlo. I want to angle Licorice to do a breath weapon on as many harpooners as he can get. Hell yes.

And then bonus action, give our Kenna a bardic and point at the pilot of the ship and say, you've been acting like a knight, it's time to prove that you've become one. All right. You see, she looks excited. She grabs her hammer. She jumps on the back of Licorice. With you and Kenna on it,

Licorice does not seem like he can fly, but there's these giant chains that are shooting out from the dragon turtle. So I'll say he's able to levitate enough that you guys begin rocketing up. You use 60 feet of movement. You fly near straight up into the air going up this chain that this harpoon is connected to and you see the airship is

trying to pull the dragon turtle trying to pull Lazlo away and Lazlo is just hunkering down staying on the ship you and Licorice get to the top you hear the screams of crew members and stuff and Licorice will let out his breath weapon they have to do con saving throws. Yeah. So there are three dudes at these different harpoons. I'll say Licorice is able to go up there and just breathe his lightning breath down on all three of them, and that is three failures.

Go ahead and roll 4d8. Come on, come on, come on, Licorice, come on, Licorice. 19 damage. Okay, licorice toasts the crew members that were holding the harpoons. Yeah! Because they just have regular sailor stats that are used in weapons, so now the guards

and the knights and stuff, if they wanna use the harpoons, will have to start wasting their turns to do that. So you and Kenna now are up on this boat up here. And Kenna is blessed with a bardic and also with a bardic. Callie, up here you see a bunch of guards, like Sunset Goblins, people from the Autumn Court, other Winter Court knights are up here. You see three swarms of guards, six knights,

and another evoker that looks like he's the captain of this one. You see like a little sunset goblin. What? Ah! Okay, be brave, Kenneb. I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you, I promise. So you see, all of these guys came up, bunch of them got blown back, a bunch of them replace him and keep stabbing at this giant beast and he just splashes another thing of scalding water and heats it up with his breath. Saul's fighting five guys at once, Calder's on the back of a dragon turtle, having the sword fight. You see a boulder suddenly shoots out from the cliffs of a nearby shore.

It almost looks like a cannonball, but you didn't hear it fire or anything, but you see it bang, hits the deck of the second airship. Yeah, an ally! There's an explosion of wood and screams from the crew and I'll say you guys can't really see what's going on you just see that the second airship is all of a sudden in trouble and getting attacked. Callie go ahead and give me a perception check with advantage.

That is a 14. Okay, it's kind of tough to see because there's a bunch of guards that are starting to swarm you and people screaming and everything but you can just see on the deck of that other ship as the boulder hits and crashes and then this boulder turns into a giant rock elemental and starts smashing people up there. Is this our friend that we met? Stone Commander Basalt Von Schaell? Yes!

All hail Von Schaell! Yeah, so you look and see this giant rock elemental, long hair of pebbles, fists of rock, and fingers of gravel that curl around a giant flail with boulders at the end of the chains. They wear a long, dusty dark blue cloak, but other than that, the rocks that make up their body look like armor, bigger stones at the pauldrons and protecting the chest. And then they kind of taper off until there's these massive rock legs. And you see stone commander Basalt just starts smashing dudes on that other airship. Yes! And for anyone who needs a quick refresher, stone commander Basalt Von Schael was the

primordial stone giant that was unfrozen with the council in the ice knife. After initiative five, that is initiative four. Calder, that is your turn. Bring us home, baby. Whoa, finally. Who is that? What is happening? All right, so I'm fighting this troll warlord, eh? I'm gonna pull out Shard and take three swings at this guy. Hell yeah. You shouldn't have stabbed my friend.

And you see icy blue blood as he tries to regenerate as fast as possible. Looks familiar. After Calder's turn back to the top of the order that's Saul. Hey, I'm just going to try and get rid of this invoker. Right on. Move from there. That's going to be a dirty 20 and a natural 20. Jesus.

Yeah, you run up this chain, you've got a climb speed, so you literally do like a Naruto run up this chain. You got it. Almost like straight up, not using your hands at all, just climbing up, not bothered. You feel the wind going through you. As you see bodies flying down from this airship, as Basalt is just like taking out a dude

with every single swing that they take. Awesome. You get onto the deck here, you see that the Harpoons are not manned at the moment. A bunch of the crew have been like knocked overboard or just hiding from Basalt. You see the Stone Giant is fighting a couple squads of guards and some knights, but the harpoons are unmanned

at the moment. Okay, will I need to wait till my next turn to do an object interaction? You'll probably need to take an action to press a button to release the harpoon. Great, I'm in position though and I say, Commander, how is Barrelain doing? You hear

as if like pistons like air coming out from their rocks as they turn and give you a look. She can't wait to see me, got it. After Saul's turn, that is the warship and the airship's turns. The airships do not have anyone manning any of their weapons, then the warship is going to go. The two ballistas are going to shoot, and then the mangonel. Ballista crits, so you see right in his neck one of these harpoons goes and stabs him right there. It does 27 damage to him.

And the other one pinks off, manages to miss, and then the mangonel goes, and the mangonel misses. You see the rock just bounces harmlessly off of his shell after the warships turns that is all of the Knights turns so there are four Knights down there that we're trying to stab at Saul. Saul's no longer there so they're gonna go over and they're just going to start stabbing at Lazlo here. First guy misses completely, second guy hits once, third guy misses completely, fourth guy hits once, total of another 35 damage. So Lazlo, you do see like blood coming out onto the deck

and stuff and more like labored breathing coming from Lazlo. Uh, uh. I pat his shell. Okay. Hang in there Lazlo. Grrr. I pat his shell. And there Laszlo. Gotta get these harpoons off you. Oh and then the four griffon knights are going to fly up.

Two of them will go after Saul on the airship. Two of them will go after Kali on the airship. They start shooting arrows. First one will go after Kali. 21 to hit. I will defensive flourish. Okay, you bring up your sword, block it, the arrow out of the air.

Second one goes, that is a 24 to hit. That hits. Okay, so that one's gonna hit. That's 16 damage, Callie. Other one's gonna take two shots at Saul. Misses because of the cloak of displacement, have not been hit this turn. Misses again because of cloak of displacement.

Second guy goes, would a 20 hit you? 20 misses. AC's 21. Wow. Okay. Misses. And then misses again, just flying by as you jump to the other side of like the Harpoon device here. Arrows stick into the deck after the Knight's turns. I kept my Bless concentration by the way. Oh hell yeah. Okay, so you keep concentrating on Bless after the Knights turns. That is a swarm

of guards turns. There's one with Lazlo. It's just going to take two cracks at him. Can I use my helm to use my reaction to command someone to melee attack? Does Lazlo take a melee attack? Yeah, you could definitely do that. Ooh. Okay. All right, so I'll say right before this squad goes, Laslo will take a claw attack with a charge from the helm.

You got this, Laslo. And does 30 damage, greatly reducing this squad, who still comes forward and takes two strikes at him, does hit him once for another 24 damage. After that squad, there are three up there on the airship with Saul, but I'll say they're engaged with Basalt Von Schael right now. The ones that are with Callie and Kenna are definitely gonna go after Callie and Kenna. I'm gonna say that they're going to try to do what Kenna just did to the evoker. So you see this first squad is going to go over

and attempt to grapple Callie. Callie, go ahead and give me an athletics check. Dirty 20 on this side. Not one, but I'm going to use my luck blade to re-roll. Nice, nice. Oh, that's so much better. 24. 24 passes.

So you see a bunch of these like lesser foot soldiers kind of get, are looking terrified. All right, I'll get her legs, I'll get her legs! And try to get down, but you have, yeah, you have your sword out, scaring them enough that they're having like a hard time shooting in and grabbing at you. Second group, I'm gonna say, nobody else can grapple you because you're fighting these guys, but these guys have like spears and harpoons, so

second group is just going to go up and try to take swings at you. Hits once for 24 damage, Kali. And then the other swarm of guards is going to try to grapple. Kenna, that's a 15 on their end. And Kenna rolls a natural 18. She's fine. So she's just wrestling with them. Ah, come get some! Yeah, Captain Kenna. Yeah, that's right. So she stays hanging on. Oh, and actually the knights on Griffin back went,

but there are knights on your airship as well. So they are just going to shoot arrows at Kali and Kenna. They'll just- We're swarmed by people though. You guys are swarmed by people. No, I'm still gonna say that they can hit you with arrows. Okay. Yeah. They're gonna just like shoot through their friends.

But on a nat one they hit their friends, right? On a nat one they'll hit their friends. One crit, one hit on you Kali from the first three. Okay. 23 damage on one attack, that was the crit. 16 damage on the other attack. Yeah, I passed both my concentration checks. Nice. Great, okay.

The other knights are gonna shoot at Kenna. Two hits, 26 damage total. Ooh. Kenna's just got arrows in her, but keeps fighting, wrestling these other knights. After the Knights and the Swarms of Guards turn, that's back to Calli's turn. Okay. I am very low health.

So I'm just going to, I'm gonna face step to the wheel so I can commandeer the ship. Okay, now you see the evoker was the captain, so there is no one piloting the ship at the moment. When I do that, two people have to do wisdom saving throws or be charmed by me. I'll do the knights. Okay, two of the knights will do wisdom saving throws. One pass, one fail. To the one that fails, I say,

You serve a queen, why not serve a dragon? And I point down to the dragon turtle. Huh? I'm just saying, if you're gonna fight beside me. Oh, okay. I do like turtles, I guess. And then I'm like, can I don't hit him yet. And then I want to ram the entire ship into the ballistas and the knights.

Oh, you want to just crash this into the warship down there? Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. Wow. Okay, let me see how much movement. And if I have in action, I will blade ward myself because I'm probably going to go down as I do this. Go down with the ship Captain Pondlily. Wow I said it was 50 feet up. Yeah. With the movement of this thing's propeller it is exactly 50 feet. But I'm like I'm I'm gassing it. Yeah. You're gassing it down. We can. So you're basically just going to I'll say you go over you see the wheel at the helm you see the igniter that powers the balloon

that's keeping this thing afloat, you spin the wheel to send the ship into a spiral, then you kick off the igniter, it goes out, the whole ship begins to drop. Fuck yeah. Here's how I'm going to say this is going to work. This is gonna be insane. I'm gonna say this is going to be everyone takes

50 feet of falling damage and it's a fireball. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, does that sound right to everybody? Can Kenna and I do anything to brace ourselves? Can I grab the little dove under my wing and take all the damage for her as I...

You go over, you grab Kenna, I'll say this will give her essentially like resistance She'll take half damage and you're going to take damage as if all of this was a crit. Okay. Yeah, okay Fair but scary. Okay, so I'm going to roll massive damage you guys Calder and Saul see Kali's airship suddenly plummets out of the sky down towards the warship and explodes into it. You see just an explosion of bodies going up in all direction. The ballista down there, the weapons down on the main warship are absolutely destroyed, but the people aboard, people start jumping off and like scattering. I'll say you, as you grab Kenna, you can kind of like jump off the edge.

You guys don't have to stay until it completely crashes. Can I feather fall to reduce more damage? Yeah, certainly. Oh my God. So you cast feather fall, you jump off before the ship makes impact. You spin and throw your body between Kenna and the fiery blast.

So you'll both need to go ahead and do dexterity saving throws for the fireball. Okay. Ah! Kenna saves, natural 19. 17 plus six, 23. Okay, Callie, you save, but you're gonna take full damage because you said you was shielding Kenna.

I am, because I'm taking it for Kenna. Sir Patrickor, what are you doing? Is that called a Hail Mary? 30 damage to you, Kaliope? Um, I look into Kenna's eyes and I say, I trust you and I'm passing over the keys. And I pass out. This Patrickor!

Uh oh. Kali shields Kenna as a massive blast shoots fire and debris, some of it hitting her, cracking her across the head and knocking her out. From the outside, you guys see bodies of fallen knights or fleeing soldiers jumping off the airship and Kali and Kenna just disappear among them, just far off dots plunging into the ocean. Psh, psh. That didn't sound very feathery, did it? Callie, Kenna!

After Callie's turn, you see Triss two runs out onto the deck. And she just looks in all directions and she goes like, what the fuck, I don't know anyone here. You see, she keeps looking around. What the fuck? Triss, Triss one, it's time to step up. Callie's out there.

Oh, I think I, did we meet before? I punch this troll really hard in the face. Yeah, to remember that. Oh, right, yes, okay, yeah. I'm the second hottest girl on this airship. I punch I punch this troll really hard in the face. Yeah to remember that Second hottest girl on this airship. Oh my god. That was you you guys came to save us Yeah, yeah, it was my idea. I insisted on saving you You're so fucking brave You're fighting all these people like by yourself My Oh my thank you. I know I didn't have any idea

So top of you to say yeah, I start crying because of the wound in my neck. Yeah You're bleeding a lot Okay, all right you panic and speaking in British, I guess. It's smart just a bit. Yeah. Okay. Should be fine in the morning. Right. Cool.

What do you, how do you, how can I? Callie's drowning. Callie's drowning out there. My best friend. My best friend. Yes. You see, she's going to jump out into the water. And I'm going to say she's not gonna,

she'll be able to find you guys once you pop out, but it's chaos right now. But she actually has cure wounds. So she goes and grabs a cure wound and is swimming through the water looking for Kaliope. You see she jumps over the edge. At initiative 11, you see Zunark runs out from under the hull of the ship.

You see he's been beaten up. Looks like he was in quite a fight last night, obviously. He was captured. But you see he also has a huge bag of treasure and stuff. So he comes out and he looks in all directions, sees the complete shit show, and goes, Laszlo, great to see you! Calder, what are we doing? We fighting? We fleeing? What's the vibe?

We're fighting. And hey, just tell me, did anything happen between you and Triss? It's cool. I just want to know. Yes, we got captured. I got my ass kicked by like two mages in like 16 nights. Shit. That sounds like a bonding experience. Yeah, and then we were tied up and we talked for a while, I guess about our childhoods and stuff, and kind of like what we've been through being on the run and everything. We kind of just have different viewpoints on life, but you know, I feel like we really came to an understanding of each other. All right, I shouldn't have hit her with the Hugh Grant, I'm sorry. The what? I'll give you context later. You see, he's to go over and you see he just grabs a sword.

You see he throws down this big bag of treasure and goes, the revolution costs money, so you know, spoils later. Throws it down, runs over and is going to take three cracks on this remaining swarm that was already hurt by Laslo. You see cuts through like three dudes in three attacks, finishes off this last swarm down here, and then puts his hand comforting on like a giant wound on Laslo's neck as he breathes very deeply.

Thank you old friends, thank you. After Zunark's turn, that is motherfucking Laslo's turn. Yeah! So roll me a D6, five or six, he gets that breath weapon back. Two. Two. Sadly.

Oh, he's colicky. Okay, he is definitely colicky. Okay, there were four knights down here, he is just going to take two claw attacks and a bite attack against those dudes. Three hits, fully kills one, and halves the life of another one. So there's a very paltry crew down here in this warship. In fact, you see it is sinking now that Kaliope knocked this airship out of the air and I'll

say like, it all starts to tilt and pour to the one side. These knights are falling off. They they're very hurt there's only like three dudes left on the deck basalt von shale's up there biggest concern right now is getting Cali out alive after Laszlo's turn that is Kenna's turn Kenna has arrows in her oh is going to do a perception check to try to find Kali. Kali. You feel yourself like sinking like you're you're just coming to your hazy-eyed you probably have like a concussion you feel someone has their hand around you trying to pull you up and you come to enough to see that it's Kenna, but she's got heavy armor on, you've got heavy armor on, and you're both sinking,

even with all of her effort, you're- you're falling, but you see Licorice darts in under you both, he doesn't have a swim speed, but he's helping, trying to help you gain a little ground, even like Foster's pulling at you, and you guys are just inching upwards upwards you can see the surface of the water overhead but you don't know if you'll make it in time and then you see a vine grows down into the water kind of grabs onto it and both of you are yanked up onto some broken wreckage out here in the sea. And the first thing you see is Triss casting,

casting a cure wounds on you for 27 life, starts doing chest compressions on you. And Kenna is over you and is getting ready to pour a potion. Yes. There's that olive branch. Wow. Oh my God, Kaliope, we've only been best friends for like a day, You can't die on me

now. Talk about healing the past. She gives you a big hug. As she squeezes me, I spit up seawater. Yeah, she pulls you in close. And Kenna leads down and hugs you, but then gets into position to like defend you, gets up and like holds her war hammer. After Kenna's turn, that is the Troll Warlord's turn. The Troll Warlord is going to keep swinging at Calder. Shield is not gonna help, 28 to 29 to hit. Okay, then at the very least I'll use Shard's Parry

where I can add two D6 of Cold Damage. Hell yeah, you turn the sword to ice. As soon as the Warlord hits it, it shatters and spikes go in his eyes. Yeah, that'll be nine icicles in your eyes. The two hits are for 34 damage, Calder, total. At initiative five, that is Besalt Von Schale's turn. They, you've got a bunch of swarms of guards up there. They're just going to do three athletics checks to essentially throw them off with their flail. And they have godly stats above a 20 of strength.

The guards would need to essentially crit, and they do not. So with each swing of the flail, a boulder hits them. You see their face is basically gone as soon as it hits them. They're just teeth flying, blood everywhere. Just absolutely brutal bludgeoning damage as these dudes are just flung off the ship. Only ones left are the knights who begin surrounding

and trying to contain Basalt here. After that, that is Calder's turn. Nice, I'm gonna go after this troll like I think Tris might be watching Yeah 29 a 30 and a 14 am I still blessed no oh yeah all right 29 and 14 I bless went down cuz she went out those two hit Okay, and I'm also gonna use a charge in the helm and add 2d 12. Oh, yeah

Okay, how many knights are surrounding Basalt currently? Six. Six knights surrounding Basalt. Is anyone in the cockpit, in the pilot seat? There's a crew member trying to man it. Looks like they have sailor stats or something. Just sees you running near. Ah!

I surrender! Yeah, get out of here. Yeah! Jumps off. Give me your Blackberry. Jumps off, hopes that they survive going in the water. Better chance. Okay, I want to try and help Calder out.

Is there anything up here that I could use to fire on the troll? Maybe the harpoon or...wait, was there something else? There is, yes. So there's something that shoots like a green flame. There's essentially like a grenade launcher type thing that shoots like a rock covered in green flame. Oh, hell yeah. So an alchemist fire? Absolutely. It is definitely an alchemist fire. It has a plus eight to hit. You're trying to hit an 18 for this warlord. Okay.

I'm telling the warlord right now. It's you and me. This ends here. Me versus you. One on one. At least if one of us dies, they'll die with honor. Yes. I take my helm off.

Okay. Calder ducks in fear. Saul, go ahead and roll me 3d10 piercing damage and 4d10 fire damage. Oh shit, sir. Calder, you see this exploding green flame coming from behind you and you just sort of move to the side

and it crashes right into the troll. 42 damage. Calder, you see that there is just a pile of steaming meat where the troll warlord used to be. I should give this a proper burial. I kick it over the edge. You just kick the ashes off. You see Zunark starts to climb up, looks up over Laszlo.

Whoa, wow, you kicked that guy's ass. Yeah, I melted him good. That's my thing. They didn't know that was your thing. Thought it would be more frost stuff, but no, wow. Yeah. Yeah, wow. I know the other way with it. Little bit of green fire left.

Are you looking Alchemist or? That's right, Alchemist. I love that shit. Yeah, completely takes that guy out. After Saul's turn, that is the warship and the airship's turns, barely anybody left on any of these skeleton crews. That is the Knights turn. They see the scope of the battle. I'm going to say though a few of the Knights have enough

HP that they can survive a 50 foot jump into the water and are going to straight up jump off the airship and start to swim away amongst all of the chaos. They're going to flee, besault von Schale. There's really no one left on the warship. The warship is an absolute fucking mess. The other airship has been blown up by Kali. Kali, you have awoken with Triss too, and Kena protecting you on this little bit of wreckage.

And there's this eerie calm. You still hear like, you know, the sound of like sizzling fire from like far off explosions and everything and some like screams and stuff but mostly people are just trying to sneak away and get away. I look really confused and I say, Kenner, what happened? We would. Oh cool. Ina, what happened? We would. Oh, cool. I actually remember what happened.

I just wanted you to kill me with the story of Orpheus. Yeah, you did that, you did that a whole freaking airship of Master Petrified, come on! I was prompting you to relive the moment. Come on! Yeah, dude, chest bump me. Yeah, Kenna, chest bumps you. Heavy armor on, heavy armor.

Heavy armor on, heavy armor. Triss two goes to do it. Ah, I don't have much armor on, very much at all, but I'd like to be involved, huh? Yeah, get in the chest, bum. I'm not second best friend again, am I? Of course not, Kenna too. She laughs, but smiles with like dead eyes and looks at Kenna very competitively. Kenna goes, what the hell?

I bring Kenna in closer. Yeah. Okay. But yeah, this battle, it looks like it has ended. Zunark gets on top of Laszlo with you, Calder, and begins like, it's sort of a futile task, we're just trying to like bandage up Laslo's of massive wounds.

You do see it will take you a little bit to parse through it, but you find security blueprints of a bunch of like blockades of warships and airships that it looks like they're going to use for the archipelago for the summit. So this looks like good information to have as you approach and you'll be able to parse through it. You guys take the airship. Can the airship land on the water?
