We're professional. All right, explain the off-mic bit. Explain the off-mic bit. Okay, so we said, Murph, it's okay if you turn us into vampires. And he's like, I'm not going to. And then we were like, okay, actually, sorry, we really want to be turned into vampires.

Actually, we need it. I think a fundamental misunderstanding of the Shadowfell thing where I'm like, this is a trick so that Cyra can get into the summit. It's not a vampire adventure. Right. But if we arrive at the summit as vampires, that's kind of sick. That's a fun twist. It's just that, see the summit is tonight at midnight. Yeah.

Imagine you spent a lot of the day with a Coralil and she had to enchant the clam is tonight at midnight. You can imagine you spent a lot of the day with Acora Lil, and she had to enchant the clam and all of that. So it probably took some time. You probably got like six hours, so probably not enough time to die and come back as a vampire, right? We just did a quick vamp nap. Like we get bit, we die, just like two hours asleep.

But then you would be like, vampires spawn, and you'd have to kill the original vampire. I hear everything you're saying, but I'm just saying that like, can't you picture Calliope Petrico as, like, a Magic the Gathering commander, like, swamp and island vampire commander. Swamp vampire.

my sister's on fire, I'm gonna become a vampire. Calliope Fentanyl. fire, I'm gonna become a vampire. Kaliabee Fentacar! Yes! Probably not gonna become a vampire. I guess there is a world where if you become a vampire, it would be really shoehorned in. I don't see a world where it doesn't happen at this point. Really? Right.

I mean, it's bleeding in, and what do vampires love? Blood. I just don't. Sometimes I get an idea, it's just, I was just gonna make it so happen. I just feel like even in campaign one where like someone was turned into a vampire, it took a couple episodes and was like a pretty huge arc of the campaign kind of thing.

Does time work differently in the Shadowfell? Oh, probably. That's a good call. Also, you're a more experienced DM, so you could really streamline this. And then of course we've got Caldwell Tanner. Traveling with a duck and a squire. You know, I'm open to the idea of becoming a vampire.

Okay. To solve a foe. Seems like everyone's forgotten the story and kind of how the show works. So let's go ahead and do a little recap. Quackula, that would be Foster's vampire name. Oh, Quackula's very good. Yeah, I believe is a cartoon from the 80s.

All right, let's go ahead and do a little recap. So last time, you searched the wreckage of the Winter Court warship and found some booty. You got some cash, some potions, some equipment, and most importantly, a magic lance. Yeah! Yeah, buddy. You traveled atop Laszlo,

and Zunark explained how he came to meet the dragon turtle. Queen Jovier had attempted to, quote, recruit the great beasts of the Feywild to join the courts by force, and Zunark had tipped him off. The dragonborn rebel told you his dreams for a future Feywild, replacing the courts with a Republic. Kali shared her dreams for a future Feywild, replacing the courts with the Republic.

Callie shared her own dream that the Feywild would return to the magical wild and unpredictable place it once was. You combed through the security docket that Saul had collected from the airship and learned that security at the upcoming summit would be extraordinarily tight. As you wandered... Not that weird. As you wonder, not that weird, as you want, not as weird as becoming a vampire at this stage in the campaign out of nowhere. Equivalent, I guess. Anything could happen. The sincerity with which Emily came to me and said, just so you know, if

you were to turn us into vampires, I would be okay with that. Did you love me if I was a vampire? It was off the charts, it was off the charts how okay she was with being a vampire and how she thought that was just in the cards. That was your plan. Yeah, I mean, I guess it's physically possible, but just highly unlikely. Anyway. Probable. So, yeah, you saw that the summit was going to have very tight security.

As you wondered aloud how you could bypass it, you were approached by a shrimp knight, Sir Brine Splooge, who took you down to meet with the glorious wave mother, Akorilil, one of the Primordial Giants who you unfroze in the caves. You were brought before her underwater throne, where she demanded that she be made See-Li Queen, after the current monarchs were dealt with. To prove her point that the realm could descend into chaos without strong leadership, she showed you a vision of two of the other primordial giants,

Bear Lane with the automatons and Charbon with his army of fire elementals. Oh, Bear Lane. Yeah. You tried to talk her down offering protection for the sea instead of a crown and she decided to sleep on it. You were taken to your quarters by Sir Brine's bluge, who revealed his absolutely insane sleep schedule. You discussed your diplomatic options

and spent the night going around the castle and asking about a Coralil, finding out that she was indeed a folk hero of the sea, despite her many flaws. Kali came up with a list of counter demands, mostly focused on keeping a Coralil from bringing her wrath upon the land. O'Cora'lil eventually agreed on the condition

that she and Basalt von Shale would be offered spots on whatever council replaced the courts. In return, your son Gunk would be brought on as a nepo knight and O'Cora'lil would you scry to find Syrah. Mission accomplished, that was the final episode, right? Yeah, yeah. Gunk is a knight. Gunk is a knight, or gunk will become a knight.

The gunk ascendancy. Callie gave Acorilil a piece of her burning hair to help the scry, and the primordial storm giant showed you a vision of Syrah alone on a desolate island with Marigold, the golden serpent, flying through the air above. Syrah was toying with a strange crown that Zunark deduced could be a magical item designed to trap the magic of the old crowns. Zunark said that her location seemed familiar, but not of this world, leading him to believe she had traveled to Shadowfell so that she could plane shift into the summit. You wanted to get to her, so you offered Acorilil a chance

to punch Charbin in the face if she could planeane Shift you there. Zunarch and Triss stayed behind with Laszlo as a backup plan in case anything went wrong. Okorilil gave you a pearl that would glow if you were scryed on. Then you got into an enchanted clam and were transported to Shadowfell. And that's where we are now. Can I do a perception check for vampires?

Yeah, go ahead. I do too. check for vampires? Yeah Absolutely everybody shout out to the two Okay, two s and two fangs. Okay 15 for Calder. It's a 14 for Saul. Okay, great. Cool Okay, so you guys are inside this enchanted clam completely in the dark. You felt a jolt of magic It's happening. You guys should squeeze each other's hands. Hang on, dude. Was this like an established thing? Did we want to become vampires? Oh, when you went to sleep last night, we stayed up and we said, oh my god, I hope there's not vampires. But then as we started talking about it, we were

like, actually, it'd be kind of fun if there were. Yeah. Okay, but just because, like, we just found out about Shadowfell this morning, so last night, it would've just had to come up kind of apropos of nothing. I think I mistook this afternoon for last night. Oh, okay. So when I went to the bathroom in the bathroom club, you guys had a little talk about how you'd be okay with turning into vampires.

Yeah, yeah, because it closed on you and you were in there for a while. Yeah, right. You got stuck. Yeah, okay. So you guys felt a little talk about how you'd be okay with her to get a vampires? Yeah, yeah, cuz it closed on you and you were in there for a while. Yeah, right. You got stuck. Yeah, okay. So you guys felt a jolt of magic as you were transported from one world to the other, and now there is a weird, quiet, calm outside. You can hear the sloshing of waves or the clawing of vampires.

Rocking the clam outside. They do have sharp claws, I know this. Okay, do it. She's doing it. We to pretend like we're vampires We got like right under the sea right now But I think there needs to be a ritual for us to become actual vampires You see she puts her little like headlight on and starts looking through her bestiary and goes well become vampire spawn if they bite us There needs to be like a ritual

We're gonna approach all the vampires that we're definitely gonna meet okay I don't know if I want to get I don't want to get bit that seems painful yeah maybe we can just kiss we just swap spit right a smooch I think you can kind of do that yeah I think there is like a ritual to become a vampire if the vampire wants you to be a vampire okay really make a good impression okay right, so we gotta like seduce the vampires which are getting out of here. Okay. All right, okay, we can make that work, yeah.

But vampires are, apparently according to this, vampires are really seductive and they might say that they wanna make us a vampire and then they betray us and make us a vampire spawn. Right. I've been in this exact situation. Yeah, it's a kind of mothership all over again, isn't it? Or when? Okay, well we need to give each other makeovers,

but it's pitch black in here, so I don't exactly know how to do it. Yeah, okay. Everyone just must up each other's hair. All right. Okay, yeah. Okay, there you go. And let's put some sea spray in it, take some salt water, make it all texturized.

Okay. Yeah. I give somebody a braid, I don't know who it is. It's Foster. Wraa. Braided his feathers. Wraa. Okay. Okay, I give somebody a braid. I don't know who it is Braid the duck I'm gonna knock on our own clam You hear the sloshing of waves or the clog of vampire I think we're underwater right now right and vampires don't like water. I know that I know that for a fact Oh, yeah, they probably wouldn't be too close to an island. Hmm, okay, so we're probably safe for now. Let's open the shell. There was so much build up of vampires that it seems like maybe they're not too-

And then yeah, we're literally going to islands. Wow. Wow, so I guess- Who could have called this? Certainly not any of us. Oh, so they're like vacation vampires because they're on an island, interesting. Maybe. There's only one way to find out right let's open this clam kick open the clam Sweet you guys kick open the clam and see that you have washed up on a rocky gray shore

The sky is pitch black and you hear far off rumbling thunder Suddenly a crack of lightning hits and it it begins to rain. In the great flash of light, you can just make out gold scales shifting through the sky. Oh, that's very cool. Wow. Yeah, that's obidice too, though. I don't know if. Do you think honeysuckle licorice is your sister friendly?

Let's summon them. Om, om, om. You see honeysuckle bursts out of the ground and then looks up and looks scared up at Marigold. We've all got very scary older sisters. It's alright buddy. They love us even if they have a strange way of showing it. How do we want to approach this? Do you think it's worth us trying to distract Marigold so that you can talk to Syrah? That's a good question.

Is Marigold going to attack us on sight? It seems like Marigold must have some kind of bond with your sister, so you would hope would your sister make Marigold attack you? No if anything she would be like do your weakest attack and just trip Calliope. I think Marigold isn't going to attack us because I mean let's assume that Marigold has a good sense of smell. I've got kinship with her person. Right. So hopefully that would be confusing in its own way. And I think our best chance is to just try to find Sira. All right.

Yeah. Well, I think wherever we see Miracle, that Sira's not gonna be far off. Yeah, so I think that's just great. Well, Sira in the vision wasn't right next to the water, so we probably had to go board in land. Okay, first I'm gonna hide the Clamsorter. I'm calling it the clam sporter. I just don't want anyone to steal that one.

That's good. Did you come up with that when we came up with the vampire sort of situation? Yeah that was like, so we finished the vampire conversation. You were still stuck in the bathroom clam. Everything happened while I was in there. Yeah I don't know what you were doing. It was real messy. The belt, I don't know, you just really got hung up. Is there a way to lock that thing? Does it have a fob? I think it's safe. It's probably more the magic than the clam.

That's right. I'm gonna throw it into, help me throw it into the ocean. That's true, yeah. We'll know what clam it is, but other people will just think, hey, that's just a normal clam. Yeah. You guys see, yeah, you push the clam into the water and then you just see strange shadowy tentacles

Just emerge from under the water and pull it down Shit, I think my wallet was in there What the hell was that? I hope we've not sent a problem to a Coral Hill It was a vampire squid Whoa, okay, um, yeah, okay, shall we just hike to it then? Yeah Let's go in the direction of Marigold.

Sweet. You guys begin walking away from the shore. You pass through dead trees and rocky outcroppings of nearby cliffs, and as you round a corner, you see in a lower inlet on this plane of rock and gravel is Saira sitting out in the rain with her duck. Steam comes off of her as the rain droplets hit. Kelly, do you do you want to approach her on your own?

Yeah, I think maybe she'll be she'll be defensive, I'm sure. But maybe less so if there's no audience. We'll be here. We'll be as far behind you as you want or as close as you need. I think be on hand. So I'll hold your hand. And Foster, I need you to come because you've got to meet Ollie. Yeah, okay. I I bundle Foster into my arms and then I think licorice and honeysuckle can sort of stay back, too So I don't want this to seem aggressive and you boys are so big in Bromley Lightning hits again and you see marigold in the air Yeah, a really big boy anyways

Don't worry, I'll look after you too. They look worried. And I'm just gonna sort of like, I'm not sneaking up on her. I think I'm just going to walk towards Saira. Callie, you begin walking down this rocky hillside and you're not stealthing a couple rocks fall out from under your feet, make a little bit of noise. And you see- Yeah, I think there's like a contemplative

walking on the gravel sound. Yeah. And Saira was in a little bit of a trance, kind of locked in here petting Ollie the Duck. And then you see, as she hears the rocks falling, she goes from this sort of pale, sad version of herself to she lights and turns to fire. You see her golden skin turns bright white, her outer edges turn to flame, and her long red hair stands straight up like a bonfire, and she turns and then sees you. Hi.

I heard you're looking for me. For a brief moment, you see the raging fire atop her head, flops down, just kind of goes out. She gets this look of relief in her eyes. And then, whoosh, hair goes back up. Long time no see. Yes, and whose fault is that, Calliope? Well, you didn't exactly invite me to tea. You sent bounties after me. But I'm happy to see you now I like your duck thank you you see Ollie

jumps down out of her arms Foster jumps down out of your arms and they run up and they hug stop that get away from get away from that other duck Calliope sees this and she's like oh my god the animals are teaching us what we should be doing but I think she doesn't have the courage to go for it yet. Okay, well, yes, I did send bounties after you, Kaliope. Apparently it wasn't enough money. Do you think I should have made it for 16 gold? 17 maybe? Are you worth 20 now? Kaliope is swallowing all this, just absolutely swallowing it. Saira, what are you really doing out here?

I could ask you the same question. You're the one who ran away. You owe me an egg. Where's the egg? You said you wanted to be part of the business. You said mom always kept me away, but mom's not around anymore. Now I can do it. Okay. Yes. you want the egg? I do want the egg. I'm gonna whistle to have Licorice come. There he goes. Licorice slides down the hill.

Wait, shit, I was supposed to watch you, dude. Wait. You see, Licorice slides out and shows up next to you. Here he is. Or rather, what remains of him, because he's gone back to the Beastlands to be with his mother. You see, Sire looks down at Licorice and then laughs. This is what came out of that egg? All of that trouble? It's, uh, I mean, him in his prime form is big and powerful, maybe bigger than Marigold, I don't remember. But this is sort of like an illusory effigy because he's gone back to the Beastlands. Oh. Which is where he's meant to be.

Is it now? Yes. So you took the deal, Calliope. What deal? What deal were you... The deal with Oberon. You were offered a deal with Oberon? Of course I was. He's sending little goddamn flowers after me all the time. It made some tree, opened up a door. I had to go inside and speak to him.

He showed me a vision of him hunting our mother out of existence. Like that would convince me to help him. Well, but the only way to give her peace is to help him. To give her peace, Kaliope? Our mother died the day the courts took her from us. There's nothing left of our mother? Then why are you on this quest? And what does that fucking crown mean to you?

I point at the one that she's planning to steal all the magic from the other crowns. Syrah takes the crown that's in her hand and places it on her head, and you see the fire atop her head burns even brighter. And she goes, this is a revenge story Kalibe I'm going to take everything from Queen Jovir and I'm going to take it for myself it's hard to write a sequel to a revenge story what happens when you take everything from her what's on the other side of that have you even thought about that do you think that doing all this extinguishes these flames that seem to be consuming you?

Because I don't think it does. Look, I'm just gonna say it. I really want to bicker and banter with you like we're kids again, but I'm really fucking worried about you. Callie, give me a persuasion check. 25. You see that is the first thing that has really affected her since seeing you. Like you saw a very human reaction of like,

maybe happy to have you here. And then you saying that you're worried about her you see she does sort of a double take you you hated me we always we we hated each other why would you be worried about me because I mean I think the reason that we inspired such a big reaction in each other is because we also loved each other. Maybe that's wishful thinking, I don't know. Of course, of course I didn't fully hate you. I was wildly jealous of you for having a relationship with Mom that I couldn't seem to have because you had more in common with her, because she trusted you, because I was the odd man out all the time.

And so yes, I was jealous of you and... But I also fucking looked up to you. You... you were jealous of me? I was jealous of you! Why? Because mom thought you were special! She would always say that calliope is different, that calliope is too good to do the things that we're doing. I could see that would be really, really tough to hear. Yes, and to be honest, there was a time where it seemed like I had a lot in

common with Mom, and then after the Winter Court took her and she came back, she just, she wasn't the same. Do you know what happened? same. Do you know what happened? Yes, they they woken her powers or whatever and she... So you always knew she had divination? I didn't always know. I found out. How? I was old enough to know at the time. I'm sure you noticed the change, but I may have noticed it even more. Yeah, of course you did. I chalked some of it up to just the idea that the Winter Court was after us for smuggling. And that that's why mom was always distant and and worrying all the time. I thought she was just being paranoid.

Mm-hmm. But then when she was Executed and brought before the court. I knew there had to be Something more to it. It was too grand of a spectacle just for What a smuggler and and why why did this all come up after? the courts took her in the first place? I used some of our underground contacts and I found out about the Fatebringers and what

they do to people, what they do to each other. Yeah, okay. I... wait, what do they do to each other? They make more diviners. They find people that they think have the ability and then they awaken it in them and it becomes impossible for you to live in the present. That's why Mom was never there. Yeah, yeah, I understand that now. I didn't know you did too.

I'm glad I didn't have to break it to you. Yes, I suppose I'm sorry that I didn't tell you when I knew, but mom always told me to protect you, so I thought that meant protecting you from... I don't know, things like that. Really? Yes. Well... I do appreciate that protection but I also...

I don't need it anymore. If anything, I'd like to pay you back. But I need you to trust me and let me in on what you're doing. Because I also would love to see an end of the Fatebringers, and I also would love to take quite a few things away from Jovier. But I don't want to take the things that have corrupted her and made her what she is and then put it on your head and watch the same thing happen to you. See, she takes a moment.

She's kind of taken aback by the maturity with which you're coming at her because she's still kind of being snotty to you. I've been going to therapy. Not in a minute. Jessica. Not in a minute. Her name's Jessica. Okay. Not not in a minute not in a minute her name's Jessica

You see Sarah sort of shakes out of it and goes this was a lot easier when you would just cry Your it was easier. Was it it's funny. You should bring that up because the time I remember is after What happened to mum and then They had her killed and then they just dismissed us like we learned our lesson. And as we were leaving I saw you putting on this brave face because you didn't want to give Jovier an inch of pleasure from your pain. And then me, there I was, a subby mess, weeping, ruining everything you were trying to do. And then you and I parted ways and we never fucking talked about

it. So was it easier when I cried? Because I wonder if I hadn't cried that day, maybe you and I would have gone home together. Maybe we would have experienced that day together and not apart. You see steam starts coming off of Saira's cheeks and she kind of turns to try to not look up at you. Please don't hide it. What are you so ashamed about? You realize we're gonna have to deal with this at some point. She really is gone. And we can either lose each other too, or we can at least hang on to each other. And we can't get through this with just anger. I know we can't. I know it feels proactive, but sometimes crying is proactive too.

I'm sorry, Clybie. I cried that night too. I wish that we had just been together. The mom that we knew at the end would have wanted me to put on a brave face to be unaffected. I know, I saw why you were doing it. You were doing it because you were always the best at performing exactly who we, who she thought we should be. And honestly, that was just another thing I was jealous of you about. I wish I could have done it too. It was quite frankly fucking badass.

You see, she laughs. You know, there... There was a time when... I could... comfort you. I don't know that you remember it, I could comfort you. I don't know that you remember it, but there was a time back when things were happier

and you were a baby, just a crying little ball of spring, a little tempest, and it was one night where mom couldn't get you to fall asleep, she couldn't get you to calm down. And I walked over to you and I held my hand out, and you touched my hand, and when we came together, I made little steamy monsters for you. And you, you laughed. Do you remember when we used to make those? Yeah, I do. You played with those little steam monsters way longer than I think that you told your friends you did. You see, uhaira walks over. But I'm not surprised that that got me to come down because that's all I've ever wanted.

It's just for you to reach your hand out, Saira. Don't reach your hand out to keep everyone away from me. Just reach it out to hold my hand, please. Saira reaches her hand out. I run in for a hug. You jump into her. She seems kind of taken aback, but then kind of falls into the hug, and you see the fire in her hair kind of goes down,

and then you see like a little steamy duck appears next to you guys as you see ollie and foster are hugging I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No, I'm sorry. No, I'm sorry. No, I've been you didn't do shit you Been a needy little sister Because I wasn't giving you anything except you stole me an egg you stole me an egg you you still only yeah Yeah, well, what if I gave you a crown and then fed it to one of the other eggs? She laughs. I don't know what that means. Yeah, well you will soon enough if you just are open to collaborating instead of going on some mission that I guarantee is going to get you killed. You see, she kind of shakes out of it and goes,

hang on, what are you doing here? How did you get to Shadowfell? How did you find me? Are you here alone? No, I've got two friends. But I didn't want to scare you, can I invite them over? God damn it, I should have put up some wards or something. Yes, yes.

Okay, Caler, Sol. Hey. Okay, Colder, Sol. This is my sister, Saira. Saira, we've heard so much about you, mostly mixed. Mostly mixed, really. I've been sort of processing us, our childhood, and my relationship with Mother, and like really,

I would say vocally and not externally, rather than internally. We've been kind of a stand-in Jessica. It feels like things are trending up. Things are trending up. Oh, that's good. Jessica. Oh, that's good.

I met your friend Tris. I would love to pick your brain about her. Oh! Oh! You've met my friend Tris. Which was? Tris Two. Which was Two. Tris Two. Ah, the traitor. Oh! You've met my friend Triss. So I went to places in the Autumn Court, places in the Spring Court, where Jovir once reigned as the Princess Jovir in the Autumn Court, and where the Bear Prince once reigned in the Spring Court.

And you know, there was some business with a Honey Goblin who kept saying, get the honey. Okay. But had a lot of honey. So I don't know what he was, seems to have already gotten the honey. Really? I did, the honey had nothing to do with it. Okay. Really? Yeah, so I was speaking to this honey goblin, sent me on this quest to collect a few pieces of this crown that were buried. And then as it turns out, it ended up being the Bear Prince trying to come back to life.

He had been killed, he was trying to get his crown back. He had all these followers. We had to kill him, lost Tris One. It was, you know, you see she, as she's being kind of blase about this, she does look saddened as she catches herself talking about Tris One. Wow.

What? So Tris One is gone? Yes, she was killed by the the bear prince. She she died to help me get this. You've been through so much. We've all been through the ringer, as it were. Yeah, but yeah. We've all been through the ringer as it were. Yeah, but you were really close with Triss, one. And we've been through a lot, but we've always had each other.

It's okay if you miss her. I didn't say it wasn't okay if I missed her. Okay, well, you could also act like it. You could act like it. You know what? I don't miss Triss one. She was really fucking mean to me. Okay, well, let's not speak ill of the dead. Kaliope.

And we went down to the autumn courts and there was a mage there who had at one time worked for Queen Jovier and helped me find pieces of her old crown and so I was able to put them together and then Marigold and I went on the run for a while. We had a few run-ins with Winter Court and the Autumn Court, Knights and Griffin Riders and ships and airships

and all manner of that. And anyone who got in our way got burnt and found a security layout of what was going to be happening at this summit and figured a good way to get around it was to come here and just show up in the middle. It's part of the reason that you don't want to part with Marigold because she's the only one who's been with you this whole time. No. Cool, I didn't think so. I didn't think so either. Okay, yeah. Stupid idea. Yeah.

We didn't think so either. Can I meet her, Marigold? I guess, if she's cool with it. But just a warning, she doesn't take kindly to most people. Okay. It's okay, if she lights me up, then she lights me up. Okay, well, you're gonna regret saying that when she gets close. You see, Sra whistles, and then Marigold begins to lower down out of the sky. This great golden serpent snaking through the air.

Her shining scales reflect whatever little light there is in this place. So you guys have a little fire set up as you guys are eating dinner. She's gargantuan, bigger than the ancient blue dragon that you fought, bigger than even honeysuckle when he was terrorizing Iron Deep. Her head is like a snake's, but with great dragon horns and glowing red eyes. You see her face leans down, she sort of nudges sire onto her head and then leans down to sniff you guys

I submit to the sniff. I curtsy Yeah, I think I'm not even scared right now because I'm so in love with what I'm witnessing you see that she looks a little skeptical at first and almost begins to like show some teeth. And then you see, Sire puts her hands down on Marigold's head and then honeysuckle and licorice slide out

and begin rubbing up against her neck. And you see she begins sort of shifting the whole area, but she begins winding around them as well as they begin to bond. And you see little bits of star fire. And then she leans down and sort of rests her head in front of you guys as if inviting you to get on her back. I

Conjure a little fire puppy and I put it behind her ear and then I so gently with the quietest feet get on. Yeah, I hop up side saddle Backflip on. Yeah, you hop up side saddle. Backflip on. Yeah, you guys get onto Marigold's back and you feel that her scales are powerful, but not hard. There's like a little give to them and some heat beyond it. And you feel a... Seat warmers. These are amazing.

You feel a deep, powerful magic from within this beast. How did you... I lean forward to? Sira and I say how did you decide on the name marigold? I don't know I guess Mom used to Take us to pick flowers and she liked that one or whatever Yeah That's a good reason Thank you. Is that why you named them licorice and honeysuckle? I kind of just did it based off of our plants.

They reminded me of the plants that would settle them, balance them. Saira. I also you did a way better job naming your duck. Ollie, a personal family name. We named us Foster. Because we just wanted to foster him and not actually adopt him. You were going to foster the magic duck that showed up. I've botched all the naming opportunities that have been placed in front of me. To be fair, we thought maybe it was like a spy for some of them.

It turned out to be a spy, so we were right to be sceptical. That's true. Didn't know how long it was going to be skeptical. Yeah, that's true. That's fair. We didn't know how long it was going to stick around. Yes, that's true. Well, yes, Ollie is sort of a little traitor. Nuzzles in with Holly. But despite being of Oberon, has more dedication to me, it would seem. Yeah, and Foster, I would say Foster's love for all.

And you know, the name works. Yeah. And Callie, you get a sense that, that maybe Oberon is still holding out hope. That you can all reconcile this. Yeah, okay. Because ultimately, if you guys are going to have the three serpents at full power, you'll need to either deal with Oberon and essentially maybe cut a side deal with the Serpent Queen or get Saira on board with what you guys have done.

Okay, that does beg the question. Are we like flying around there right now? Yeah, you guys can fly around a little bit. Marigold takes off and begins flying around the Shadowfell. Shadowfell is beautiful from this angle look at all the vampires there they all are. Dive Marigold, dive. You see a bar balcony out on like a Ravenloft esque castle with a bunch of vampire swilling blood like wine. Fuck, do we have time for a quick... Let's not... no, right?

Okay, yeah, yeah, I know that's a really good call. They're gonna turn us into spawn. They don't turn you into the cool vampires. That's really, really... You've been reading too much fan fiction. They don't turn you into the cool vampires. It all throws a cross at one. Siren. It ruins the party. vampires salt throws a cross at one I think there's a chance that if I know I understand your frustration with Oberyn but I think that though he is sort of a

neutral force and everything I understand blaming him for what's happening with mom thinking of him as like punishing her but like he's just sort of a neutral force and if there's a way that we could talk you into considering working with him, I think he could send us licorice proper and honeysuckle proper. Three beasts this size. And then also side benefit, we could find out which one is actually the biggest.

you see Marigold Gets into position where When she appears on the other side will be right where she wants to be on the other plane So it's kind of on the ground here Snaking in a direction where she can corner Jovier. Yeah. Saira begins whispering and incantation. As she does, she looks up at you with warmth, Callie. You start to see her disappear. And then

suddenly, there was a wall of red magic that appears between you breaking your handhold. Syrah and Marigold disappear, but the rest of you are left hovering in an arcane cage, the Force Cage spell. You hear a faint buzzing of magical power, then the flapping of cloaks as seven Fatebringer mages appear out of invisibility nearby. They all wear these long, blue robes with white veils. One of them approaches the outside of the barrier, while the rest point fingers at you, as if they're preparing to cast spells. Glenfear was right about you. You are clever, but overly sentimental. So convinced that you were the weak link.

That you didn't consider it could be someone else. We scried on your sister. And she led us to you. You see he throws out a lock of hair. Your lock of hair burnt the same trick that you used to find Syrah. And now you are all under arrest for conspiring with Sire Igni, the murderer of Queen Cirilla.

But it hasn't happened. That's not happened. What? You see... Fucking future crimes. The Fatebringer pulls out a crystal ball and it swirls with fog until it reveals an image. What is happening right now in the Feywild. No, no, no. You see a magical Great Hall that has been conjured to host this event.

There is a wall of glass behind a platform with two thrones. The moonlight of a giant crescent moon shines in. On one of the thrones you see Queen Cirilla looking very much the part of a fairy queen. She wears a sparkling gown that glitters with starlight. There are even moving parts with little shooting stars. Her golden hair is as long and voluminous as the dress itself. She wears a crown with an emblem shaped like a sun. It glows so bright that her face looks like it is constantly bathed in sunlight. To her right, in the other throne, is her sister Queen Joveir. You get the sense that both sisters have a power to present themselves as they'd like to be seen,

because despite sharing the same blood, they look very different. Jolvir wears a crown of thorns that wraps around her head and grows out into her hair. She was once an autumn eladrin, but the brown leaves that make up her hair are now twisted with the same thorns of the crown, and you see scratches and scars on her shoulders

where her hair sits. She looks like a Primordial Aladdin or Goblin Archfey as tall as a hill giant with tall pointy ears and long claw-like fingers. She has a royal guard of about seven elite looking knights standing next to her. Likewise, Cirilla is surrounded by her green knights. The closest to her is the new captain,

an eladrin named Leonor, who was said to have been compromised based on the Mildred's murmurs that you read. At the edge of the line of knights is Glenfear Gladewin, standing proud in green armor. As the two monarchs stand to address the crowd of nobles gathered in the Great Hall, there is a sudden explosion of magic as Saira and Marigold appear. The serpent is so gargantuan that she instantly blows the walls and ceiling off of the Condred Castle. There is instant chaos, at least it appears that

way. The nobles in the crowd scream and scatter, but some of the knights look like they were expecting this. Syrah, atop Marigold, dives towards the stage in Queen Joveir. But just as she does, Joveir has a reaction prepared and Misty steps out of the way. As the gold serpent unleashes a flurry of fire and starlight breath, Queen Jovier escapes, but Leonor, the captain of the Green Knights, shoves Queen Cirilla into the path of the serpent fire. The Seelie Queen shrieks as she's enveloped. Her crown turns bright white hot, then whiter and whiter and whiter until the fairy queen herself melts and explodes into steam, unleashing a wave of powerful magic that sends a shockwave through the castle, blowing out

more windows, throwing more people back. Sire looks horrified for a moment, she looks around, she tries to find you, she doesn't see you guys, she sees that Cirilla was just killed, but then she steals herself and pulls out her crown, siphoning the power of the destroyed Seelie crown. As the runes on the relic glow in her hand, she urges Marigold on, but they were ready for this. You see huge Fremorians, these giant Faye of the Winter Court swarm Marigold with enormous pole arms that have arcane lassoes at the end of them.

Marigold rides as her body is gripped by the first one, and she swings around to throw several from Morians off of her, but more swarm and she is lassoed by dozens of these weapons as she comes crashing to the floor of the Great Hall. Syra points a finger at the giants to scatter them with magic, but at that moment, Glen shoots a grasping arrow that pierces her shoulder and wraps her in bramble. She screams, then falls from Marigold's back

onto the ground as the giant serpent is wrestled down. Queen Joveir walks over to the prone and grappled Syrah, presses her foot into your sister's hand, then reaches down with a long claw to grab the new crown. The crystal ball once again fogs up. Someone needs to pay for this terrible crime. Yeah, you. Us. You conspired with the murderer. I'm gonna try to cast Dispel Magic. You cast Dispel Magic, it does not do anything on the Forest Cage.

The fate bringer magages are going to turn around and we're going to keep this real simple. Six fireballs shoot out at you guys right into the middle of the battlefield and they do not give a fuck about their friend, they roast him as well. He's going to make that very close. Just absolutely brutal.

As soon as they basically shy away from the magic that Saul is presenting. And then as soon as they get their wits back about them, they just point their fingers back up and just shoot you guys with six fireballs. These guys are freaks. They're absolute freaks. The DC for saving on their spells is an 18. So figure out what you need to get with a deck save and then roll me 60 20s. I failed twice. I failed once. I failed once. Okay. And that's all the damage that Saul's going to take because he does not take half damage. All right, Callie, you get to roll your damage. Okay. Callie, unfortunately, even with all those fails,

and you are shocked for 46 damage. Okay, I'm going to rebuke the violent. Okay. I use my reaction to force him to make a wisdom save. And if he fails, he takes radiant damage equal to the damage you just dealt or half damage on the success. Fails. So this dude takes a ton of lightning damage. It shoots back into him and he's looking quite hurt.
