I like to unburden myself. when we record. I take all the stuff out of my pockets. I have a dog and a child that still shits herself. So I, there's a dirty diaper on that side of you, I see. No, I dispose of that in their backyard, obviously. Sometimes I have poop bags on me. And you know what? I'm sorry that it, it doesn't have poop in it. It was just so definitive because we were like, all right, let's get recording. And then you reach into your pocket, like, whip out like your keys and your poop bag and like put them down as if like game set match. By the way,

I think your defense is actually a little unhinged. You're like, before we record, I like to empty my pockets onto the table in front of me. I like to empty the bowels of my pocket. Also, a teeny little bag doesn't like move around

Whoa. Yeah, I've been there. It's a diet thing. Well, we've ruined the finale, but here we are. At the end of this stretch of Gangs of Neogalator on, it's been fun. Caldwell brought poop bags in case any of us fucking shit ourselves. And we might. You're going to be, hey, don't come crying to me.

Yes. So last time, you woke up in an apartment above Jimmy's tavern then went downstairs to spread the word of Krangar. There, you found Eddie and members of the Red Trip, as well as Old Drill and his buddies from Hammer and Circuits.

After a failed attempt to convert Eddie to Krangarism, James called everyone into his back room to strategize a plan to get you back to Zone 1. You spy the defenses of the jailbreakers of Zone 2, who were working hard in hand with mothership soldiers.

Together, you came up with a plan to skitch, behind a caravan of vehicles until you could get to Elmer's airship and fly over the barricade. During the ensuing battle, you were bombarded by jailbreakers and mothership soldiers. Among them was R3, the leader of the jailbreakers, who was acting oddly pro-mothership. Eventually, Adam was able to locate a restraining bolt on him and shoot it off with a sniper rifle. From there, R3 regained his senses and called off the other jailbreakers. Still, you were pursued by mothership knights, enforcers, drop ships, and even, the prototype as you raced into the warehouse district where Spector and the Hampson sisters

had successfully launched the airship. You hopped aboard and flew over the barricade, managing to dodge a barrage of laser fire. You crossed into Zone 1 and you could just see the arcade in the distance before something hit your airship. You heard the sounds of clawing as the prototype climbed onto the deck and declared, You have something that belongs to us. And that's, where we are now. Don't give up the ship. Is you talking about our cabana bananas?

You can have those. You can have those. Okay, give me your potion. Well, no, okay, you got to trade. You could trade for those. I guess they're not so bad then are they? I drink one. I actually do need it.

You actually do need to drink it. So I will say, kicking this off, you guys did have about a minute on the airship where you were just flying and dodging fire. So you had like a few turns. So if you guys have mending that you want to cast on Adam, you know, cantrip things like that, if you want to suck down any potions. I'll cast mending on Adam. Well, you can't do that.

I'm going to try. Okay. Slug, stop hitting me without hammer. Shh, I'm mending. Okay. So ox is healing up Adam while slug kind of subtly undoes it. But I'll say, Adam, you're able to get to full. This isn't a full short rest, so you guys aren't going to get everything back.

But you can get, you have time to get your. HP back. Sick. How many freaking potions do you guys want to suck down? How many cabana bananas?

I think maybe this is reckless, but it'd be wasteful for me to take two because I'm back up to 53. Okay. With just one,

so I think I'm going to stay at it. Okay, great. What about you, Ox? I'm at half my HP. I'm at 33 from 64. Okay. Maybe I'll have one.

Okay, taking an action to do that, that gives you 20 HP, so you don't even need to roll. You just get 20 HP back as you suck down a cabana banana. We got four left.

Good as newish. Okay, so you guys have four potions left. So you guys have done this is sort of in your downtime, or not downtime, as you're like racing over the barricade. You guys are like patching up your wounds and sucking down potions. And then the prototype arrives. Yeah, chug. Oh, I'm getting my gag reflex. The cabana bananas have that same thing that Guinness has in it. It's just got that weird thing that like keeps it fizzy. Oh, yeah. And I think it also has like a smiling but peeled bananas. Yeah, it's brown.

Also like Guinness. Also like Guinness. So you are on the deck of this airship. The lights of the city below you, the stars in the sky above. The sounds of war are dissipating into the background, but the threat of it stands before you. A cyborg with a heavy metal exoskeleton and a bald, scarred head connected to it via wires and tubes. I do not know. Which of you carries the administrator chip?

I have no interest in damaging it. So I will make you one last offer. Whoever has it, come forward, and I will spare your allies. Okay. OX, thanks for a second. I think, can I look around which of us does actually have it? Yeah, I think I was too afraid to hold it. Adam does not have it.

That's all that has been confirmed. OX has it in a zip lock. Oh, OX does have it in the Ziploc. Yeah. Okay, so... It's double bags. It's in two poop bags, all right? Oh, that ox-asset.

See, I told you. In two poop bags, I think I'm going to just walk forward and be like, all right, yeah, yeah, spam my friends. I swallowed it in a condom, like a drug. Oh. You swallowed it. Oh, prototype. Don't wait until she shits it out. Don't, don't do it.

Why don't we play a little game? We work at an arcade and we like to make things interesting. You're going to have to attack us all to figure out who's got it. Very well. It will be useful data mining. When we do come back and take Zone 1, we will do it with bots that you trained. you see raises his hands up the metal around you starts rattling everybody go ahead and roll initiative okay nat 20 whoa 19 and that one and a 14 for me that becomes a 19 okay so here's how this is going to

work you guys are aboard your airship in your zone so you are going to get a layer action yeah you've got big minnie and the hampson sisters up here with you uh there is an offensive uh layer action not offensive as in they say offensive stuff, offensive as in they do, they might, they might curse. Big Minnie and the Hampson sisters provide cover fire and you may use a reaction to make an attack at the top of the round. Whoa. There's also a defensive one. Big Minnie and the Hampson sisters try to patch up your wounds.

This will be represented by a mass healing word. 2D4 plus 4 HP to everybody. Spector is currently driving the airship. She is using her action to do that, but she has a reaction every round that she can used to help you. She gives the party one lucky roll each round. We'll do it old school lucky style so you can make a re-roll or

you can make the prototype re-roll. This is effectively her using evasive maneuvers like jerking the wheel while the prototype is attacking you to like knock them over. You hear her shout I've never flown one of these things but I know enough to fuck somebody up. That's all you need just steer into it.

There's also a machine gun mounted on the deck. If you guys want to get back into machine gun bullshit. Rova? I'm looking at You? Yeah. Beep boop. Are you trigger happy? At Initiative 25,

OX, you are first to act. Okay. I think I flick my eyes over to the machine gun for Rover to go over there. Be boop. I'm just going to jump out and press the jet on my cyber deck, the flame jet. Oh, hell yeah. Yeah, so everything has refreshed because you guys have basically had like a minute since you've used all of your attacks.

You've had a bunch of rounds. Everything, all of your abilities are refreshed. Nice. So you jump. out, you let loose your flame jets. The prototype is going to try to get out of the way. It's a deck save, right? Yes, DC-16. Eat fire. Sorry, Slug. No. Nat 20. You see, the prototype just jumps perfectly 30 feet into the air.

Oh, wow, you didn't eat any of the fire. No. I do not desire that. Okay. Unless I'm enjoying a delicious flame-grilled burger and TGI Sky Days. A mothership property. Okay, so is he not going to take half within that 20? He does take half. Okay, six. So that is going to be nine.

Yeah. Okay. So you like, you nipples fire. You toast the ground underneath him as he lands. The only burgers we like are Uncle Drillie's dried out old burgers that he gives us with X-Ram. You could have. You could have. You don't actually like those.

You could have. I can tell by the way you speak of them. I burned your boots. But I like that Uncle Trilly makes them for me. So now that the ground is nice. and Toasty just like I wanted. I'm going to run forward and try to hit him with my mall. Okay, go ahead.

That is a 26 to hit. There you go. 26 hits. He is going to go ahead and use a legendary action. You see he moves lightning fast. He can burn a legendary action to go blow for blow. So you guys are going to hit each other at the same time. He's going to hit you with an adamantine fist as you hit him with your mall.

And I'm running for him. I'm using the charge of feet. Oh, hell yeah. All right. So you guys swing on each other. Whoa. That's 18 damage. Okay. He crit again.

He is only crit. Are you? Which dice are you? I'm using this purple dice, not the weird black. Not the one with 220s. Not the weird dice that we found that had 220s on it on D&D. That one has been banished. Yeah, that one's been banished. You did 18 damage, you said?

Yeah, 18. He eats that damage. Oh, fuck. And as he does, he empowers his. his fist, you see more metal casing comes around it as he seems to have control over his own body. He slugs you in the stomach for 32 damage. Oh, my God. From a punch?

I hit the deck like it's saving Private Ryan. I just come up with like my ears ringing. Oaks vision foggy. Yeah, you guys see OX hits the ground so hard he has a fucking concussion. OX retreat to the fucking guns. You're too precious. You're just a little fox. I crawled towards Rover,

and I signal for him to shoot. You see, as you're, like, crawling back so, so injured, Spector is at the wheel. Maybe time for a little pick-me-up? I could eat. No, the drugs. The drugs you have. Oh, FACA.

Oh, right. I couldn't vibe. Sweet. You have a free action if you want to do the arcane. This version of arcane gives you guys haste. Fuck, yeah. Is there enough for all of us to take it? There's definitely enough for all of us to take it.

Okay. I just roll onto my back, like, breathing heavy, and I bring the arcane up to my face, and I inhale deeply, wheezing, because I just got socked in the stomach so hard. No better time to introduce a new drug to your routine. Okay, so do I get two more attacks? You have one more attack.

You can use an attack action. One more attack. You also, your speed is doubled. You have a plus two to armor class. So as you snort this arcane, you feel this buzz. of adrenaline through you and you see the world

with a sudden clarity. Hell. And you think all of a sudden you have a bunch of really good business ideas. Oh my God. We could like boat B&B this airship. We can rent it out. Wait, but then we don't get to stay here.

We don't need to. We'll be resting and investing. You're thinking about profit rather than pleasure. It's a great idea. We can sleep onto the floorboards. Okay, that sounds fun. Did you just make up resting and investing? One of my other business ideas

is that I'm not going to run and try to hide it, and I'm just going to try to shoot him with my gun from the deck. Okay, great. We're all channeling our best corkies. That is a 19 to hit. 19 does hits. 14 damage. So ox gets slugged so fucking hard,

breaks a couple ribs, gets slammed down into the deck, is lying there, just ringing in his ears, can barely see straight, snorts some arcane, and then hops back up and starts shooting wildly and screaming. Yeah.

I have a concussion and then do drugs. What's wrong with that? after Ox's turn. That brings us to the lair action. Do you guys want defensive layer action or offensive layer action? I wouldn't hate defensive if you want it. Yeah, that's not, you know, it sucks to get hit by this guy. So if we can avoid that.

Okay, let's do it. All right, here we go. You see Big Mini Rebs the engine. She's got a motorcycle on the deck of the ship. You see the Hampson Sisters have little bags with them, open them up, toss the potions to Big Mini. She goes around and disperses. them, go ahead and roll 2D4 plus 4.

Just one of you guys can just roll it. I rolled two ones. Brutal. 6 HP to everybody. Big 6 HP. Take it. After the layer action, that is Slugs' turn. Okay. Show them how to really slug.

Slugs. I'm looking at this arcane knowing that this is a slippery slope for slugs, but, hey, you go fast on a slippery slope, so I snort it. Okay. Are you feeling what I'm feeling? Actually, Bope being B is genius. What was I thinking? Profit is more important than pleasure.

Rest and invest, baby. You see the prototype leans back unhinges his jaw, and you see a satellite seems to be recording everything you're saying. This is perfect for mothership. Oh, this is what you are trained on, huh? So now my speed is 100 feet. Jesus. Wow!

So I think I'm hocking a lugy onto my scale. And I'm looking at the sort of the shape of this ship. And I'm like, oh, actually, this is elliptical. I could turn this into a track. I have two attacks and then I have this extra action that I can use for an attack. What I want to do instead is I want to take a dash action with it. Cool. And like skate the entire lip of the ship.

Yes. And then you treat it like a bowl at a skate park. Exactly. As you skate around the ship and swing around, you're going to try to do a jet dash onto them. And then I'm going to jet-d-daws on the world. Slogs, slugs, slugs. And I'm reckless. I'm fucking reckless.

You got to be. Does 21 hit? 21 does hit. Okay. That's 22 damage on my jet dash. Got to do a DC-16 strength or fall prone. Okay, sweet. You rocket around the ship like it's a bowl on your jet thruster rollerblades.

Yeah. And you slam into the prototype. Ugh. And he saves easily. So you see rocket thrusts. go back on him and he sort of compensates as you are tackling him back. Okay, and now I'm going to take my two attacks.

Sweet. Nat 20. Whoa. Second attack. 20 to hit. Hits. 49 damage total with both of those attacks, and he got to give me two con saves

or fall prone. No joke. You are ultra fast now that you're on Arcane. You are stabbing into him, jutting into him with the hockey stick. at lightning speed. And you see it's breaking apart the tech. And he's repairing as quickly as possible,

but it is not keeping up. Ideally, I am like pet, ideally how I'm picturing this going down is that I've got such momentum going with my skates now, with my doubled speed, that I'm like just hitting him

and then skating around. Just like a nasty pestering little mosquito. This is perfect. Slugs can deliver breakfast on roller skates at the boat B&B. I think that my lips are literally like blowing away from my teeth. I'm going. He does save.

Both times? Yes, it is very hard for him to fail a con save. I'm going to use my Purple Dragon Commandment and give OX 2D6 plus five temporary hit points. What is the Purple Dragon Commandment? Have we ever seen this? That's eight temp HP to you. Yeah, I used it on the car bunch. But no, it's the thing that gives me advantage on attacks while bloodied, but I also get this bonus action three times per long rest, one ally gains.

2D6 plus 5. Oh, that's good. I needed that. Thank you. That's one of the guardians at Gahul, right? The Purple Dragon? Yeah, yeah. At the end of your turn,

the prototype is going to take a legendary action, is going to try a telekinetic grapple. Go ahead and give me a strength-saving throw. I'm in a rage, so I thought it would advantage. 24? 24 past. Ah! So you have this feeling right now.

You see he raises his hand up and almost tries to do like a Darth Vader like force throw or a force choke. To you it feels like you're under you know like 10 times gravity. Like everything is just heavier but you're able to just grit through it and fight through it. Dude, don't be weird and try and telekinetically connect with me.

Just go face to face like a human. Yes, you are. You just tried to connect with me. Take her out for burgers. After the legendary action, that is Adam's turn. Okay. I think back to something Elmer once told me. I had some drugs that I had found in the arcade, and I was going to throw them away. And he said, never do drugs unless they're really good and you want to have fun.

Right. So I load the arcane into a USB drive. I, like, sprinkle it inside a hollow one. I jam it inside me. My eye, like, focuses and unfocuses very quickly. I start, like, shaking like a washing machine. You're not supposed to have sex on these drugs. It's like I'm having sex all the time.

The glow never fades. Let's do this. I mean, you are. So now that I have an extra action, can I use a spell as one of my actions? You sure can. I want to try. This might not do anything, but I have to try it. I'm seeing this scarred head on top of the cybernetic body. This had to have been someone at one point.

I want to try and probe deep with the detect thoughts. Okay. Just to see if I can get in. This will be a DC-15 Wisdom Safe, I believe. Fails. Ooh, shit. Okay. Okay.

Adam is going to connect. All right. Yes, right. On a detect thoughts, you are going through layers and layers of projection and programming. And as you're sort of peeling through the onion here, you keep hearing this term, administrator chip, administrator chip, control, control, control, control. from what you can gather from the surface thoughts before you even get anywhere deep

is that he is quite literally the prototype for the administrator chip. So this dangerous chip that you guys had stolen that might give someone perfect control over the machines in the city, this guy has some level of control over it. But you see before that traces of humanity. There is a, you know, not,

Unlike you guys, scared teenager from Neo Galateron was from Zone 4 when the Blackfire Carnival took over and doesn't really have friends or the community that you guys had. So he ends up joining up with mothership. He joins with mothership. And then while he's there, he's not a very good soldier. Real Steve Rogers energy, real Captain America, but for mothership. So he ends up signing up for this like super soldier program for the administrator chip. It was supposed to be like the next super soldier.

And instead he has become this kind of monster. And that is a buried, buried, buried, buried, buried, buried thing. And he does, he has an old name. His name before this was Eric. I think I like take all of this information in and I just look up at him and I say, I'm sorry for what they did to you, Eurek. They try to take everything that's special about this city and pave it flat.

I don't know how this will end, but I'll remember you the way you were. I'm within five feet of my friend, so I think I can get a sneak attack. I am just going to unload on him, unfortunately. Yeah. Yeah, you see as you say that stuff, I'll say somebody close to him like Slug,

sees like a moment of recognition in his eyes, but then like confusion, and the veins in his head get more visible, this like egg head that he has suddenly becomes like purple and red. As you see, all the light goes out. There would have been room for you at the arcade. And I'm going to attack. Hell yeah.

23? 23 hits. Nice. And then, oh, shout out to the two crew for the next one. You guys also have not used any, you guys have not used your lucky roll for the round. I won't take it because I have my own luckies. Okay. So I'll, you know what?

I'll just burn one of my own luckies if that's okay. Cool. And I will re-roll that one. There we go. That's going to be a dirty 20. Nice. That hits. All right, cool.

So let me add all this up. I'm also going to use my bonus action to overcharge if that's all right. Okay, sick. Yeah, yeah. You load your gun like Mega Man or Sammis and take a big shot. Because I'm a feminist. That's going to be 29 damage. Ooh.

Yeah, you see this moment of recognition in his eyes, but then he doubles down, goes glazy-eyed, and you see him go to attack slug, and you unload on him. Yeah. And do a huge shot. After your turn, he's going to take one last legendary action before his turn. He will reach out to you and do a telekinetic throw. Go ahead and give me a strength-saving throw.

DC-17, the target is thrown 10 feet times however many they fail by. Yeah, essentially, you feel the gravity around you warp, and you're trying to keep yourself strong. 13. You see he locks in on Adam, reaches his hand out, and just, force slams him down into the ground for 21 damage. Oh. I rolled really well or really bad, depending on how you look at it.

Bad for me. Beautiful. And then that is the prototype's turn proper. Slug, you're all up in his business, right? Yeah. You're right here. And he has advantage on me and disadvantage on everyone else because of my madden and fumes. All right.

Well, first things first, he is going to try to grapple. So he tries to do sort of the force hold on you again. give me a strength save. That's another 24. 24. Okay. He is going to go ahead and ditch you. So he tries to do like the force throw thing on you, tries to hold you in place.

You are just too physically strong for him to move. You are just fighting against it. And too fast. So he is going to turn from you and do a telekinetic grapple on ox. OX, go ahead and give me a strength saving throw. Oh, a. Strength save and throw. This is animal cruelty.

I hate animals. I'm nimble. I'm nimble. I'm a nimble little fox. I'm running. I don't like the taste of meat, but I eat it just for cruelty's sake. I still haven't caught my breath from his gut punch. That's a three.

Okay. Specter. Reaction. There we go. There we go. Okay. Go ahead. Spector is going to spin the wheel of the ship and give you another chance.

You see the prototype is rocked forward and has to try. I again, go ahead and give me another roll. Okay. That's a 16. 16. Okay, 16 still fails. So he's got you grappled now. While he has you grappled, he is able to move you 30 feet.

So grabs you, you feel yourself, stop in the air. Pulled, almost kind of magneto style can, like, control the tech from within you is hanging on to you. Oh, boy. Pulls you up to him. You see unhinges his jaw. And you see almost like an Ethernet cord comes out of him. and connects directly into ox, like burrows through your skin.

That's my move. No. I've seen Adam do this at the roller ring. It's absolutely not like that. Go ahead and give me a wisdom saving throw. Wisdom save. I'm all so bad at these. That's a five.

Okay. You take 10 psychic damage. Okay. And then he gets to gather information from you. Ox, who has the chip? Oh, wow. And you have to tell. This isn't a, you can't lie, you failed.

I got the chip. You guys see him lock in on ox. After the prototype's turn, that is pack up to you, ox. What can I do? Did you hand it off, hand it off. You are grappled. You are grappled, but that just means speed is zero. Okay.

Him throwing up an Ethernet cord into you is not, that no longer affects you. That was just to steal your info. Okay. Actually, at the beginning of your turn, you can try to break. out of the telekinetic grapple. A DC-17, strength save, but you can still make attacks and shit. You can still shoot and all that. I'll try to squeeze out just in case that is another three.

You're stuck hanging in the air. Great. I'm just going to do, I'm going to attack him thrice with my gun. I got you right where I wanted you, you big, your big lug. That is at 19 and a 22 and then the other one's a five. Okay. He will once again do his legendary action where he goes blow for blow. do manage to hit him twice.

He does fall prone. So you see he falls down extremely injured. And the sort of like metal carapace around him, you see like wound. festering underneath it. You see all of this movement as you guys shoot him and hurt him. And then you see, as you burn through his first HP pool,

he reaches his hand out. You see the wires like bursting out from his carapace. He's starting to like lose his form essentially, like starting to lose whatever little humanity you saw is completely gone. And in fact, you see like wires coming out of his eyes. And he goes, I was afraid of damaging the administrator chip, but you have proven quite sturdy.

I grow tired of this fight. He holds a hand up with his raising hand. You see random bolts around the ship begin shaking. You see the thruster in the back of the ship begins sputtering as the wheel at the helm spins. And Spector goes, what? What's happening? What's happening?

Suddenly, machinery from the hole explodes out through the deck as he pulls it telekinetically, and the ship enters a tailspin. Spector is thrown back from the wheel, but is caught by one of the Hampson sisters so she doesn't fall off, and the ship begins rapidly descending. Oh, no. The prototype is flung off as the ship enters this tailspin, but it is going to crash at Initiative 20 of the next round. Oh, we don't even have it insured yet. That is your turn. Okay, so prototypes flung off to the wind. He has been flung off to the wind.

You do not see him right now. Actually, go ahead and give me a perception check. 15. 15. You see him in the distance falling, losing his form. More wires coming out, becoming like spider-like,

and it's real Akira shit happening over here. I didn't take my damage yet. Can I just, like, fire my gun once out of him from this? Oh, sure, yes. And stay back. It's nine more damage. Okay, sick. Ugh.

Fuck, okay. I think that did it. Okay, I'm looking around. What the heck can a meathead like me do? It's just like you like crawl your way against all of the insane wind and all of the spinning. Okay. So it is. Spinning in a circle, you guys see Slug grabs onto it, muscles rippling as she fights against the wind. As I'm doing this, I'm like, why was I so afraid of driving before? It's a wheel. I literally go everywhere on wheels. This is what I know. I know rollerblades. I know wheels. Slug fights against nature itself as you spin the wheel and get the ship. out of a tailspin. But you see the city rapidly approaching below.

But now you are headed for like an empty street. It looks like you're gonna crash and maybe do less damage to yourselves than you were going to do before and not outright kill a bunch of people on the ground. So Slug is able to do that. She's able to muscle it. Adam, that is your turn.

Okay. Also, if you wanna suck down a potion or anything like that, you have a little time. Why not? Is there anything I can do to help fix the ship as well? Like, can I fix the sail to try and get us airborne again? You can absolutely, it doesn't look like you're going to be able to get it airborne, but any kind of temp fix will help the check at the very end of this to see how much damage you take.

Basically, you're going to crash land. Are you going to like crash land upside down and everything explodes and everyone takes 20 D6 damage? Or are you going to have a rough landing and everyone takes 3D6 damage? That all depends on what you guys do here. Do something. This is our boat B&B, okay? I also would prefer to have used the potion on arcs, not my... Oh, okay, great.

I want to check to see if I get my grappling hook back. I do on a six. Hell yeah. I'm grappling hooking up to the sail. Yeah. And I'm just going to like, I'm going to transform my arm into a sewing machine.

Sick. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you see there's a giant hole in the sail and it is kind of twisted around itself. So you start digging into it and sort of unraveling it. I flash back to doing laundry for the skitching team. Just being amazed at what the Hampson sisters do to their jerseys. You're so good at getting out some really gnarly stains. Let's get these ready for the big game. Sweet. Yeah, you think back to all of the Hampson sisters, absolutely gnarly pit stains.

And I go in, I look at the wiring and I have like this same flashback of seeing how things worked. And I'm just going to unplug, unplug one thing and plug it right in another one. Hell yeah. Trial and era, baby. That's a 23. 23.

Oh, yeah. So you managed to get one of like, you get like a backup thruster online or I'll say there's like one huge thruster and two on the side. You get the two side ones working. Adam is fighting bravely against the sails getting like wrapped up in it. I'm looking in the rearview mirror being like Adam saving us all. Looks like he's wearing a toga up there. Slug is fighting against the wheel, keeping it out of a tailspin and aiming it away from everyone in the city.

I think I like wink to be like if there's a god of the winds, it's me versus you. You guys managed to miss most of the buildings. Slug spins the wheel and you send you. it the best you can. Everyone braces and you crash into some streetlights and electrical wires. Sparks start going up. Fires break out, but it does slow your fall. OX gets the engine

sputtering again so it helps you pull up a bit until the hole finally smashes down into the street. For falling out of the sky, taking 3D6 damage. Ain't as bad as it could have been. I'm good at driving. Yeah, okay. You guys take 10 damage. 10 damage from an airship crash. Not bad at all.

Not bad at all. Pledging damage. Not bad. Right for me. Oh no. The Jimmy Johns is ruined, though. Yeah, you guys crash right through the Jimmy Johns. That's a no-fault accident, so that shouldn't be any points on our license or anything.

Yes. As soon as we land, Ox, give me it a double bag. Oh, yeah. All right. He thinks it's on you. Okay. Yeah, sweet. I want to give you just one bag with the chip, and then I can, I'll put a little piece of the thrust in the other bag.

Are you an artificer? You can make some kind of tricky thing. We tinkering. Yeah. I'll do some tinkering to just make something that looks a little bit like a chip. Sweet. Okay, you guys make a fake chip, which Ox is hanging on to, and then Slug has the real one.

You guys hear the creaking of the ship as boards snap and settle. You hear tiny fires going up throughout it, and then at the end of this empty ruined street, the prototype bursts out of some rubble where he had crashed, and is now this giant, writhing monster of wires. And you hear an echoing voice, a human voice in there.

You hear like 12, 13, 14 machine voices all yelling in chorus. There is nowhere to hide now, kill screams. That is initiative 20 was when the crash happened. So actually, Big Minnie and the Hampson sisters can feed you guys a potion if you guys would like. Or you guys can make attacks, Which would you like?

I think attack. I just got pretty, I got pretty boosted by a slug. All right, you guys got your reaction. So you see giant writhing mass of wires makes it down this like post-apocalyptic street. And in fact, you see a bunch of people start poking their heads out of the window and start yelling, Kill Screens! Go kill screens! Hey, get the fuck out of our city!

And are like throwing rocks at the prototype. That's right. Three popcorn after this. up the arcade. Free popcorn! Came to the wrong block. Everybody use your reactions to take your attacks. Hell yeah.

Okay. 17? 17 does not hit. 24. 24 hits. 26. Woo, 26 hits. I will use a wrist dice to do a grazing shot.

So that's still going to do 1D8 plus 5 damage. Okay, sick. Okay, so you take a grazing shot. I'm also going to say he's going to burn a legendary action and do what he's been doing to ox to slug and take an adamantine fist. attack to go blow for blow and try to punch you in the head. You see one of these wires whips out and there's like a wrecking ball at the end of it

that he tries to punch you in the head with. Do I have an AC boost because of... You do. Yeah, what is it? It's plus two. Okay. So he gets a 19 to hit you. My AC's 20 right now.

He took 18 damage from my gun. Sick. He took 20 damage from my hockey stick and he needs to give me a con safe. Oh yeah. Does not fall prone. Okay. Okay. Nine more damage for my grazing shot, too.

Ooh, hoo-hoo-hoo. Looking bad, starting to hear as he's yelling at you guys, there is nowhere to hide. Kill screens, give me the. There's, uh, it's starting to become, like, nonsense and, um, glitching out. If you come to arcade, you have to play by our rules. Yeah, nowhere to hide for you, maybe. Uh, that is then Slug's turn.

I'm going to just attack twice. Recklessly, does a 17 hit? 17 does not hit. What a 19 hit. 19 would hits. Okay, my monstrosity feat lets me add once per turn my rage damage bonus to a hit. Okay. So I do that to hit.

Great. Second attack. 21. Hits. 35 damage total. Give me two con saves to not fall prone. Oh my God. To win a row.

Okay. Does not fall prone. Okay. And then with my last action from my haste, I'm going to try and use my chain to grapple them. Okay. That's a 19. Okay. You said that hit.

Okay, yeah. Okay, so with your chain, you're able to wrap him up. So I'm wrapping him up, and then that will give advantage to my buddy Adam. Okay, because of my street justice feet. Great. Yeah, you wrap this chain around him, and I'll say you're using a bracer that, like, feeds out this chain. And normally, you just have to make it, like, you know, like five, six feet long to, like wrap around somebody even less, maybe even, like, three feet. This one, you have to keep wrapping and lassoing around this giant monster that you are now grappling.

Oh, wow. Okay. At the end of your turn, the prototype is going to take a legendary action and is going to do a force grapple on Ox again. Ox, give me another strength saving throw. A short thing. That's an 18. 18 passes. Wow.

You feel the gravity around you starts getting. very heavy. And you flash back to a moment that you had with Elmer, where at the arcade, a bunch of bigger kids were, like, pushing you around. And every time they push you, you would fall down. And you see, Elmer goes over to you afterwards, and he goes like, got to take a little stance like this. Oh.

You see, he sort of gets in a squat stance. Yeah. Here, try to push me. Try to push me. I rush at him super hard. You knock yourself over. See him? Okay, I drop my tail to the ground.

Sweet. You take a low stance, low, wide stance, and you manage to stay put. After Slug's turn, that's Adam's turn. Okay, I'm still up in the crow's nest. Yeah. The prototype is grappled. Yes. Then I think it's time to take three sniper shots on him.

Yeah, dude. You assemble a sniper rifle up in this crow's nest. You're just like sideways in the crass ship. It looks like a fucked-up miniature golf course. I think I like use wires to like fully flip upside down. Sick. Spider-Man style. 25, 18, 15.

Only the 25 hits. Only the 25. Yeah. Okay. You do have, um, Spector's lucky? Spector can let you re-roll one of those. Okay. Yeah, dude.

I just, I want to try and crit on this. I'll take it. That's okay. Great. Spector runs over, spins the wheel, and it just crashes down to the other side. Okay. Well, that becomes a 27? Yeah.

Two hits. Two hits. Okay, three hits. 34 damage. Okay. After Adam's turn, that is the prototype's turn. Yeah. The prototype is sort of de-manifesting here.

It's just this big, wiry monster. And it thinks Ox has the drive. So once again, telekinetic grapple on Ox. OX, give me a strength-saving throw. Sure. That's a four. Okay. Holds OX up into the air.

You see Ox rises up and is flung towards the prototype. You see a like claw-like wiery hand comes out and twists. Go ahead and give me another strength-saving throw as it uses an ability called Hidious Rend. Oh, my God. Huh? Hidious. That's another four. Oh.

It does 35 damage to Ox, as you feel like some of your tech starts coming apart inside of you. Ox the fox. I come apart too. I'm down. Okay. Ox goes down. The prototype is going to bring him in, takes the chip, and then is going to do another hideous rend on ox. You see ox twists again, and that is two death saving fails.

And then let's go with the telekinetic grapple and lets the twisted body of ox fall. onto the ground. Oh. After the prototype's turn, that is Ox's turn. Wow. Okay. Oh. I think I'm lying on the floor and I just like lull my head over to the side and I see,

I see the images of my friends and I see this airship behind them. And I wonder, this, this airship and our faces is the last thing Elma saw too. Here we go. That's a seven. What? Ox. Ox. Ox.

Ox, get up. Ox, do what I do. Keep up at one. Come on. The game's not over. You guys just see Rova running into my leg going back and forth, trying to nudge me awake. Ox, you don't understand. Ox, I think I'm doing the same thing.

Is the prototype just taken off? The prototype is not taking off. The prototype is extremely hurt. Just prioritized killing. killing Ox because Ox, he thought Ox had the chip. So he has the chip. On his turn, we'll figure out it's not the real chip, and we'll keep killing people. Ox, no. The door won't open. It won't open yet. Don't go through. Ox, I don't understand. If you're down, then, I mean, this whole thing only makes sense with the three of us. We just got the ship. We had it all figured out.

We can't go to the stars without you? Ox has just done this very brave thing, taking this hit from the prototype, goes down, is not breathing. And I think you guys are kind of looking at each other and wondering if this is still worth fighting for without your friend here. I don't know that it is. You see this airship that has become sort of wreckage in the middle of the street here. and I think you think back to a time, a long time ago, back when you guys were teenagers, to the last time you saw a kind of janky airship like this. There was this old ride at the summer carnival in Zone 4 back in the day.

And it was this super janky airship. The ride was called Flight of the Stormborn, and it looked like an airship that swung back and forth, like one of those old pirate ship rides. But this one got so high that you could see the whole city. And you're all teenagers. Elmer has taken you guys here. He's got a big thing of cotton candy. And you're all waiting in line.

Elmer goes, Oh, shit. Oh, we can all sit together. It's two to a row. We can sit in your lap. That's cute, but you guys are too big for that. And hey, you're an ATM machine, you know, you can't. Yeah, you guys, I mean, look, it's two and two.

Me and Ock sit on the one side. You guys sit on the other and we'll meet up at the end, huh? At the time, I don't understand this as a metaphor, so I'm like, yeah, that's fine, whatever. What slugs is going to give me a wet willie? I'm already giving you one. You just haven't noticed. And it's annoying. It shocks us both.

I'm trying to annoy you. No fair. No fair. I want to wear Willie. No, no. You gotta, hey, where'd you come up with you old pal, Elmer, huh? All right. Elmer puts his hand around ox,

heads to the one side of the ship, and Slug and Adam head to the other side of the ship. And the ship begins to rock back and forth. You feel the thrill of the drop, the wind in your hair. people around you are laughing and having fun. And across the ship, as it reaches the apex, at times you can see the city around you,

but at times you look down and you see Elmer and Oaks laughing on the other side. And then cut back to the battlefield here. Slugs, he'll leave the door open. We just have to make the most of the city we have. Yeah, sure, I guess. No. Slugs, I've never seen you give up.

I've never seen you lose a game. Yeah, that's because you never seen me without one of you. Adam looks distant. If you could cry, he would. But he just puts a hand on Slugs and says, Let's just get through today. Okay, we'll get through today. Whose fucking turn is it, man?

It's Slug's turn. I think Slug is going to fucking sheath her hockey stick. She knows that she's got the real thing on her. And I'm just going to go, take up ox's dead body. And I'm going to use all three of my actions to use 100 feet of speed. And I'm just going to skate away. So that he's just to get his body out of here. Okay.

I will say slug. As you pick up ox, it would be extraordinarily, risky for your own safety. And possibly it could end up being bad for the city. You don't know. But you do have the real administrator chip in your pocket. Oh. Yeah.

I got a port free or something? Yeah, you can take something out if you want. Yeah, I will get rid of my magnetic weapon because I couldn't even use it. I'm going to rip out the magnetic weapon and show. shove the fucking administrator chip in. Okay. Slugs, what are you doing? Does it look like we're acting from a place of security right now?

Sorry, I snapped at you. I'm fucking freaking out. I'm literally holding Ox's bed body in my fucking hands. You're right. This is the only way. If we have it, they can't have it. We'll just keep running. Slug, you pull out this drive and you click it into your head.

and you shudder as your muscles twitch and the administrator chip tries to learn your body. You start to collapse and then suddenly you bolt upright and you feel adrenaline coursing through your veins. There is a strange buzz in your body and you feel a connection to all of the machines around you. You feel powerful but overwhelmed. Like you could do not anything but everything. You now have these kind of like telekinetic powers not unlike the prototype, but you don't feel like you have a complete grasp of it. And I will say I built mechanics into this, thinking that this could happen during the fight. Didn't think of it in this context.

But I'll tell you the way this works is, anytime you use any of the powers, if you roll a one, we roll on the disaster table. So something like very bad can happen. But I will say for now, your turn is putting this in. And as you do, Ox has been like mortally wounded. but there is like a little something in the knowledge of everything that I can fucking use. There is. Sorry for cursing that I can freaking use. If you're able to successfully like connect to do like the delicate surgery of the tech inside

his body, you could. Delicacy is not my strength. Strength is my strength. You could potentially get him back here. But you could also essentially like overwhelm your own brain and you. you might die in the process here. If there's one thing I've been, start to finish, it's reckless. Hell yeah.

So. Okay. So slug the cyborg barbarian, who is always fucking swing first, ask questions later, swoops down, picks up ox and is going to try to use the weapon to save someone instead of using it as a weapon. Adam, that is your turn. The prototype is on Death Store. I look back to slugs. I think my eyes are like crazy.

I can see everything. I feel like you. Careful. There's viruses everywhere. Okay. Hold steady. Just figure it out. I'll keep this guy busy.

And I'm going to walk up to him, pull out my assault rifle, and say, if you want the prize, you've got to play the game. And I control the prize counter. And I'm going to try and get him down. Hell yeah. Okay, I'll use my Gatling gun first. 22.

22 hits. All right. There we go. You walk down this street shooting on the prototype. Adam is mad right now. That's 15 damage from the Gatling gun. Death's door. So injured.

Okay. Yeah. And then I'll just use my regular. Gun for this next one. Is it dirty 20? Dirty 20 hits. All right. Okay.

I just like stride across these flames. And I just say, no matter what you do, it will still be our home. And we can rebuild. 17 damage. 17 damage. Adam finished the prototype. As I'm like about to fire the shot, I want to look over to the airship and see if it has a name on it or any sort of like signifier. you look over to the airship and Elmer had not had a chance, so it is still, it is still blank.

That part of Elmer's and your stories is as of yet unwritten. I think Adam smiles at that and says, we've got more to do. And then he's going to take the shot. Sweet, you take the shot, you shoot dead center into the prototype, hit his core body. There is this explosion takes out a bunch of like the street lamps and lampposts nearby, breaks out a bunch of windows as a bunch of this tech melts away. And then plopping down is just this corpse of a lowly mothership soldier. And Adam, you rush over to join Slug. Slug has ox down in her lap here.

See Spector and the Hampson sisters walk over. And Spector looks at you suck and goes, are you okay? Are you sure? No, I'm not okay. Because here's the thing. We're doing all this stuff to save our home, Neo-Gelateron. And I want to pretend like Neo-Gelateron is my home and that's what I'm fighting for. But the home I'm fighting for is you guys.

So right now, my home is going. gone because a whole freaking part of it is gone. Because Neil Galateron's been good to me and it's been bad to me. But Ox has only ever been good to me. You only ever been good to me. Adam only ever been good to me. Hamson's sister's only ever been great to me. So that's what I care about more than I care about Neil Galateron.

That's probably why I was so quick to take off into the stars. Because I know I wouldn't be leaving home because I'd be surrounded by home. But if I do it now, I'm not going to be surrounded by home. Slugs, is there anything that you can do for them? Yes, no, actually, I was just in the middle of working that out. I'm essentially going to have to maybe play the most important claw game of my life. Slug, here is how I'm going to say this is going to work. If you elect to do this, you are trying to use this power with precise control,

and it is extraordinarily powerful. So it is within the scope of the administrator chip to like essentially tell the tech within Ox's body to like compensate for X organ that's not working or whatever. It is within this tech, but you've just put this on and you do not have any time to learn it really. So trying to do this delicate thing, you have the risk of essentially overloading your own brain and dying. So here's what we're going to do. We are going to roll three death saves for slug slapdash. And if you pass them, you will have successfully brought some spark back into ox.
