Goodbye, Sweeties. ["Fantasy Theme Song"] Welcome to the campaign after the campaign. This is not another D&D podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:36 ["Fantasy Theme Song"] Happy Thanksgiving, people of Bohemia. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Happyemia. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Happy Thanksgiving. What's a fantasy Thanksgiving name? It's gotta be called like the harvest. Oh, bounty. It's gotta be like the harvest bounty.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Yeah, the harvest bounty. Happy harvest bounty. And I hope you have a hura, a bountiful harvest. I hope your fields were fruitful and fertile. Indeed, I hope you gathered by the hearth in the time of the turkey. Oh, that's also a good one. Bounty of the fertile field.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Yeah, yeah, that's interesting. I think maybe that's part of the prayer that they say on hardest bounty. You know, I love it when fantasy writers just have to come up with nonsense to replace perfectly good things. It's just like, it can't be Tuesday. It needs to be second day or something.
Starting point is 00:02:25 It's like fine. I guess so. Does Game of Thrones do name day? Did they make that one up or is name day like an actual one? Name day, I think name day is like an old thing, right? That's gotta be an old thing. It seems like we should know that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:40 I mean, they only know it because of Game of Thrones. Does Game of Thrones do other names for days of the week? I don't think so. I don't think so. I don't know if I can. I think they don't mention it, which I think is the best way to go about it. Yeah, I do so too. Instead of being like, I'll meet you over there on December 13th.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Just say, in 20 moons, we shall meet. It is well-dried. Say like when the tide has waned twice. Yeah, it is. Like a moons turn, and I mean, They like win the tide have waned twice. Yeah, like a moonstone and I mean they have winters that last for 10 years. Yeah, it's hard to imagine they have like days of the week. Murphy, you are absolutely right. And it is so wild that the word Tuesday
Starting point is 00:03:15 has never appeared in a Game of Thrones book. Just so strange to think about. Are you are you a toss and turn sleeplessly? Another. I'm not a restless day to end. Just another shitty Tuesday on the road with the ham. Just another manic Monday. She just couldn't wait for it to be Friday.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Ari loved Fridays. TGIF said Silvio Farrell. Yeah, guys, so thank you for listening. Jamie Lennon said, sorry, tomorrow's Sunday, and. Jamie let us know, sorry. Tomorrow is Sunday and I don't do anything on Sundays. All right, I'm a bitch. Guys, we got a lot of questions to get to. We're doing a Q&A, we're doing our hard side chats.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Because it's Thanksgiving and you know, I need a little time off from preppin' and preparing and editing as it were. So we can preppin' prepare turkey. Yeah, but don't worry, you can still hate your family on this day. You can still think your uncle is sort of a bad guy. You can listen to this podcast.
Starting point is 00:04:14 But we also put out the Trinnyvale episode this week. Be the petulant teen who has their ear buds in. That's a good move. Thanksgiving and be listening to NADPOT. Cool, yeah, and take us selfie with your angry mother. Yeah, hashtag NADPOT, put your headphones in, snap a pic with an angry family member. But yeah, guys, we put out the TriniVail episode this week,
Starting point is 00:04:38 so really you got to play episode this week anyway. Yeah, we rolled the dice. We rolled the dice, so it's to say harvest bounces. Yes, let us know how good your harvest bounty is going, and only tell us if it's going good. I got one more good fantasy name for Thanksgiving. Earth's birth. Ooh, I'm into it.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Happy Earth's birth to us all. And now I show birth questions out of my mouth hole. Wow. Great transition. Thank you. Perfect. I love it transition. Thank you. Perfect. We love it when alcohol's birth. Simuless.
Starting point is 00:05:07 So I think maybe we'll start with, there are some repeat questions, and there were so many questions. We got like over 200 between Twitter and Patreon. Graffis. Delicious. I feel like maybe we'll answer some ones that kept getting repeated.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Yeah. But one was, if your characters die, what do you guys kind of have an interest in playing next? Okay, well, I mean, I've talked about this at length on the short res. Oh, are you talking about the skeleton? Her thick skeleton. What's one that might replace motion?
Starting point is 00:05:39 Oh, you're talking about big bone Jones. Big bone Jones. Skeleton. Ooh, I like it. Yeah, it's just a different annunciation. Well, you have a rule about us having to play a different race. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Okay. I don't know. I think it'd be fun. We don't have any. Well, I guess like moonshines and elf, it'd be fun to play a glade home elf or a glade home. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Yeah, a glade home. Hi elf. Yeah, hialeed Home. High elf? Yeah, high elf could be interesting. Oh, and kind of clashed with Munchen. Yeah, I mean, it's hard because we just created new characters for Trinivale. Yeah, I remember. So I was kind of riding that high of a new character. So my wandering eye with character is just like, isn't there right now.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Interesting. Because I'm feeling really sated in the metaphorical bedroom. It's between Onyx and moonshine. I mean, I wouldn't. You wouldn't look for another lover. I do. The one class that I keep wanting to play is Wild Sorcerer. Yeah. I think you're not doing that.
Starting point is 00:06:42 You're doing Celestial Warlock. No, I'm actually doing a Hexblade Warlock. Hexblade. Hexblade. Absolutely. You know what I think you would actually really like Jake? And it's the class I use for an old Cobb is it's basically, it's still a fighter, but it's an arcane archer that I basically re-skinned to be a gunslinger.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Oh, interesting. Yeah. I have a question. Archer. Yeah, that's fun. I have a question. Archie and Archer, yeah, that's fun. I have a question, Murp. If we had to re-roll new character, we wouldn't be starting at one, right?
Starting point is 00:07:12 We'd be starting at a more advanced level. Yeah, you'd be starting at level eight. In that case, I would come up with some really weird multi-class. Oh, yeah. I would use the opportunity. Yeah, because I was texting back and forth to call well about some multi-class stuff, but we were-class. Yeah, I would use the opportunity. Yeah, because I was like, I was texting back and forth with CalWa about some like multi-class stuff,
Starting point is 00:07:27 but we were for a training bill, but we were starting at level two, so I was like, no, if you're gonna, I wanted to like dive right in. It's so hard because you want a multi-class, but then you see what's coming up on your next levels, and you're like, ah, it's so enticing. Maybe I'd be an orc.
Starting point is 00:07:43 There's something kind of cool. Ooh, yeah. Orcs go, I don't know if I it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like,
Starting point is 00:07:51 it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like,
Starting point is 00:07:58 it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, You know what, let's get into the specific questions. Spicy Pinyata asks, do you guys, I wanna play a spicy Pinyata? Do you guys have any pre-game rituals? I like to have a healthy poro from and I'll make sure to roll out my ones for all of my dice before playing. That's good.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Almost exactly what I do except replace whiskey and rolling out my ones. I just tried to hit a nat 20. Yeah, and kick off the session. Yeah, once I roll that 20, I'm like, okay, I got my hand hot. I don't do it every time, but if my inventory sheet is getting too crowded, I will rewrite all of the notes in inventory onto a new sheet of paper.
Starting point is 00:08:38 I like to have it all organized by inventory and interesting characters we've met and special abilities I can do. Wow. I, just going back to the dice, that's more interesting. I like to press the D20s into my forefinger and my thumb so that I get a one and a 20, like imprinted in my fingers.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I had no idea you did that. And now I'll be looking for it every time. I've seen you do that. I didn will be looking for it every time you do that I didn't realize you did it every time though. Yeah, it's so much effort I don't even know if it's superstitious. It's just happened. That's like Russell Crowe and Gladiator when he like picks up the sand Yeah, it's like it's like respect almost It's like when you go it's like when you see people clapping at shrines. That's what I'm doing. Y'all seen Gladiator. Yes, great flick It's good.
Starting point is 00:09:25 I will also say to Spicy Pinyata that that is exactly the same ritual we have in Brennan Mulligan's campaign that we play with Me and Emily, Shivan and Zach O'Yama. We roll our ones out at the beginning of every game. Then you have a lot of fun together. Then we have a lot of fun together with Jake. It's fucked up. We miss called well. We are happy to have Jake. Oh, I'm just happy you guys miss somebody.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Kevin R asks, are there any character moments that any of the players look back on and feel they accidentally let their real personalities show through as opposed to playing the character? Hmm. I have to think about this. I don't know if there's moments that I feel like I let myself shine through more, but more so, I guess, there's moments I wish I could have just been a little more bev.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Like I think it was like, it wasn't like I was letting Caldwell shine through, it was just I was like, mixing the two a little too much and I didn't inhabit bev enough in that moment. I think it's necessary to a certain extent, because you can justify acting insane because of your character or something. It's just like Bev's goofy. So when the King's about to kill his dad,
Starting point is 00:10:34 he would have went out and tried to give him a vomit berry. It's like, but that's not actually Bev's character. He would know like to behave. Yeah, he's got like basic reasoning skills. But you guys have any moments where you're like, I was metagaming or I should have done this, because this is more in Moon Shine's character. I do.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I have two. I have two. One is when we met Kooter on the road and on our way to Galatoron, that was so heightened that like it felt really wrong to just be like, cool, thanks for letting me know everything super fucked up at the creek. I'll see you in a couple weeks. So I did feel really bad, like I turned my back on my people there. And then my second one was with the watchman, because like, with that first one was the same thing.
Starting point is 00:11:27 It was like, I really wanted to see Glateron, and then I was also really excited to do like, a heist and trying like, save Bev's dad. So it was like, that was the player Emily being like, yeah, but that seems really dope. So I like, I felt bad. Like, I feel like the character moonshine would have just like, parted from her party
Starting point is 00:11:44 and gone with them, but I just wanted to see her later on. The second one was with the watchman. When we were supposed to kill him, I felt like moonshine, I was doing a lot of mental gymnastics to justify why moonshine would be on board with killing him. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, The time just met her in different God. I don't know how she feels about meddling in this affair, but we were able to get to it. We were able to get to a justice case.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Yeah, as soon as we turned on the red tape. Yeah. I feel like for me, I can't think of a specific time, but like all the time when I'm driving home, I'm not like, oh, Jake, you were too much Jake during that, but I'm like, oh, this is something that would have been cooler for Hard One to do. Or Hard One would have done this, you idiot, Jake,
Starting point is 00:12:50 why didn't you think of that? You know Hard One. So yeah, sometimes I like realize that I didn't do Hard One justice in the moment. Yeah, I have a lot of stress about that too. Like when, like you'll like interact with someone and been like, that's not like moonshine would have, moonshine would have nailed that interaction.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Yeah. I just like, fuck. That's just that weak ass perwits inserting. I'm just a tired human trying to make good, recording the third podcast of the day. I'm not this friendly boy. In terms of metagaming, no, I've never met a game before. I do think it is necessary to, you know, I think that being like, oh, that's what my
Starting point is 00:13:33 character would do or whatever. If it makes the adventure less fun, then that's not cool. Oh, I have another one. I have another one. I was planning on multiclassiness barbarian forever. And then I got cold feet about it because like I talked to some people and they were like, no, multiclassiness really bad and 5-E.
Starting point is 00:13:52 So I got cold feet about it. So I had been building up this anger and moonshine like throughout like the entire thing. And then the Maribel thing, I was like, this is gonna be where she like learns rage and like learns to use her rage. And then I fucking bailed on it. I got cold feet about doing barbarian. But then luckily Apple Scropper showed up. And I was like, sweet, I could use this as my justification for going barbarian.
Starting point is 00:14:16 You're not the be angry. You could be inspired. Yeah. I think of anything. Maybe it makes a little more sense. Like you saw how she fought. You've been hanging out with these two hulk sword dudes. For so long. These two sword dudes. Yeah. Cool. Molly F asks, all World War II jokes aside,
Starting point is 00:14:35 what are your actual theories on where win Balenoers from? Oh. Well, it's World War I actually. It's 1914 Austria-Hungary. Yeah, right before the Franco-Pression War. Yeah. I guess my theory is that, I think that,
Starting point is 00:14:52 like we know definitively that he's from the future. He's definitely from the past. The Watchmen said that. Yes. And Cynthia is actually a halfling and probably not from the United States of America or Hungary. Yeah, there are a lot of people who are trying to put things together.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I don't know if they're joking or if it's joking but also theorizing. There are a lot of people who, because of the jokes we make as Balnor think that he is actually from America, but keep in mind that Bev jokes about going to Ruby Tuesdays. Yeah, it's one of the sliders. They're Sprite. They're sprites. I think- Sliders exist in Bahumia. Why does it exist?
Starting point is 00:15:28 I think everyone's just joking, but it's like wishful joking the way I do it. Yeah. I would love to do a non-canon episode. Like if we ever did another live show where it's revealed that Balnor is fighting World War One. I think that'd be really nice, band service. We transport to Balnor times. By band service, you mean like players. I don't want to turn everyone onto a war criminal.
Starting point is 00:15:52 I can't believe that the band of boobs killed Hitler. But anyway, called, well, what were you saying? Oh, I think I guess I have like a theory. Yeah, my theory, I guess, is that like, there's going to be some war coming up in the future between probably like ill said and theala or some other unannounced entity and Balnor will be conscripted into that. I don't know if like if there's any relation to us currently with Balnor.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Like I've seen people talking about the fact that maybe Balnor is like Beverly's offspring somehow. Yeah, like in Dragon Ball Z. Oh yeah, like the trunks. Like a really like trunks. In full trunks. That's interesting. I guess I only chunky trunks. I feel like I think this the same thing,
Starting point is 00:16:37 but I never imagined Belnor being from like, the far distant future. I always meant to be like a year or two and it's like Theala's big war with us. I kind of hope he's from like a future that we can change. But I also hope he's not Bev's offspring. Yeah, me too. In a weird way, I hope it's okay to say that, but like I would like to I love Balnor, but I would like to think that, that Bev would, and he, you know, he can be really badass, but I would like to think Bev's awesaving
Starting point is 00:17:10 would be like even more badass. Whoa, hey, come on now. I want to insult the holder of the bag. You take, hang on, I'm gonna, have you take some damage? I gotta roll on his. I just grabbed a bunch of dice. Valnor is Bev's nephew.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Okay, I'm looking at that. You take 23 damage. Wow. For being disrespect damage. It is psychic damage. Yeah. For Bewnix's dead. It's Mercury poisoning damage.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I like the idea of us meeting present day ballinor, and he's like 36. So we just met him like 10 years from now. Oh, that's crazy to think a ballinor could meet a ballinor. Yeah. Whoa. She's ballin. She's got incredible ballinor loop, but double ballin or theory. There's just not enough tuna in Bohumia to sustain two ballin.
Starting point is 00:18:02 But you know, John N asks if the band of boobs each got one wish, no rules, what would that be? And, Murf, how would you monkey paw those wishes? Ooh, that's a good condition. I'd wish that my parents were alive. Oh man, easy, undead fucking monstrosity. Oh, come on. You got a monkey paw, right?
Starting point is 00:18:21 Yeah, it's a monkey paw. I think I just wish for everyone to be able to return to the creek and for it to just be like it was. Oh, beautiful. Fuck it up. Oh shit, I would do it maybe before Moonshan was born so that you don't get to enjoy it. I was like, oh.
Starting point is 00:18:42 So that I don't exist anymore. Yeah. Oh, I would probably trade my existence So that I don't exist anymore. Yeah. Oh, thank you. I should probably trade my existence for my people who haven't lived. Yeah, I think you would. Wait, before she was born or after she died, how maybe after she died?
Starting point is 00:18:51 Or perhaps that would just, perhaps I would just want a new trick. Maybe I'd be open to the future. That's a little too sad to live in the past. Mm-hmm, interesting. I think mine would just be making sure that everyone gets back from the Feywild, which is like, there's a lot to work with there, I guess. They come back with their super old
Starting point is 00:19:13 or like they don't want to come back. Right, it's like people that come back from Burning Man and they're like, that's the real world. I was in the real world. Yeah, or like when you're in... You don't use money there. It's all hugs. Oh, that one's easy.
Starting point is 00:19:27 They all come back from once they came in that chapel and the alacillzumall. Oh. Jesus, that's more than a monkey paw. That's a monkey bitch slap. Wait, oh, so they come back. Yeah, you want all of this? You want all this just safely.
Starting point is 00:19:39 They come back. They're all safe and sound. Everybody's healthy, but they're in that same polo orchard. Oh, yeah, right, dude. I would open the portal elsewhere. No, that's your wish. I had to monkey pod, I'm sorry, that's all the questions. Oh, damn, fuck it, I wish.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I wish, I wish. You already got monkey pod. I wish you was seven-foot two. Your parents are zombies, seven-foot two. Okay, seven-foot two, 55 pounds, your skinniest fox. Okay, I'll tell you, I'll take the undead parents. Dude, I got it. Hard one skinny and it's caring.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Yo, dude. I want to talk to mushrooms. You want to talk to mushrooms? They all hate you. Oh no. Murphy's having to do a chebun. We have to stop. Okay, what if I wish that
Starting point is 00:20:18 that pop-up was the strongest creature in all of Bohumia and was immortal? I wish pop-up was immortal. Okay, all of Bohumia and was immortal. I wish Papa was immortal. Okay, all other possums are dead. Everybody else dies. Papa lives by himself for eternity. In a white boy. He's miserable.
Starting point is 00:20:32 He's miserable. He really does rely on community. That would be wild. It's like, they finally get back from the Feywild and Papa's the only one left. Yeah. On Fideys and Mawl. Truly.
Starting point is 00:20:44 This is truly disturbing. Yeah. Don't and more. Truly. This is truly disturbing. Yeah. Don't do these things. Hey, Victor T. Hey, Sweeties. Just wondering what's your boundore's boy? That is boundore's boy. That's his. From the Patreon.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Hey, Sweeties. Just wondering what your band of boobs characters would think about your tray veil characters. Probably want to fuck myself. Yeah, no. On Tonson, Moonsine would get a long power couple. You would put mushrooms in your craters. Ooh, start mushroom gardens in my craters.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Wow. And then Onyx would teach Moonshine the joy of pastel. You think your characters would fuck? They would absolutely fuck what you taught me. I think it would be a beautiful pastel mess. I just had a really gross thought about the anatomy. I don't want to even say it. We've all the mushrooms in other places that they shouldn't be. Although they're both low status, and my character's tend to go for high status people.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Unix dates gnomes in the other camp. That's true. The lowest of the low. It's funny to picture Balnor and Jins Lindell. On the other, it's known in the other campaign. That's true. The lowest of the low. It's funny to picture Balnor and Jens Lindell hanging out. Everyone would hate Jens and Jens would hate everyone. Yeah, I can't think of anyone that would like Jens.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Beverly and Jens could possibly get along. Potentially. I heard that Jens would get low. At first, but then Beverly would pull some Jens and Jens would be very upset. I think Jens would be very upset, but then Bev would pull some shenanigans and Gems would be very upset. I think Gems would be very upset, but then he would keep noticing Beverly's nice touches, his nice armor or fancy clothing,
Starting point is 00:22:14 and then be wooed back. Beverly would like Gens erotic dances. Beverly would fucking go to town on that zip line. Absolutely zip line. That would know the zip line. Absolutely, that's Pallu-Kale. I think hard one would think Nayak was a dweeb because Nayak is like from a loving community where he really enjoys the company of his parents.
Starting point is 00:22:37 You think hard one wouldn't like a buff, dude, with travel tattoos? Well, Nayak's more ripped than buff. I think that's a great point. He's like a Lee. He's actually probably has more of an old Cobb body. Oh, interesting. I picture him looking like Disney's Tarzan. We haven't talked about Niax V. Does he have one?
Starting point is 00:22:55 He has a vicious being. If you've ever seen George of the Jungle, that's his body. Whoa. But he's, Frazier was ripped in that. He's ripped, he's absolutely ripped. You know what you're right? It'd be a rugby player meeting a swimmer. Holy shit You just stretch out a rugby player
Starting point is 00:23:10 Just thank the love it actually Just drag that rugby player into Photoshop and just transform them You can respect a guy that's ripped in a different way. Yeah Yeah, wow. He's so open so progressive We're all ripped on the inside. Ben had a suggestion for a mixed bag. Okay, sort of a question, but I think this idea is very fun, and I think we should definitely do it for a mixed bag.
Starting point is 00:23:33 For the Patreon, Ben said for a mixed bag, I think it would be really fun to have the Banner Boobs try to replay the Moonstone saga at their current levels and see if they could speed run it in 45 minutes. Oh, that's so fun to give it like a time limit. Like a new game plus. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:49 It'd be super, just like running right up to the sun can keep no sneak, you know climbing, just like busting the door, just stabbing that alligator right in the head. Just doing the polywark mating call and even if it fails, just killing all of the polywark. Doing a polywark mating call to get the malt to to come over you're a deceptive little motherfucker Yeah, you might be able to do it like a performer too. I think you might be able to do the yeah give them a D20 Let's see if you can oh
Starting point is 00:24:14 I was saying I believe the DC I had set in my head for the bully bug made in call since it was such a ridiculous idea I was 20 20 DC 20 okay,, did I use deception or performance? I think I would probably allow you to do either one. I don't know my stats in front of me, but it's a performance. Performance, no persuasion is plus seven, but all the other ones are like plus four. For Christmas.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Whoa, what did you get? So poetic. Shout out to the teacher. That's crazy. All right, yeah, they rush out. They rush out. They step me in all of the softest bits. Rujan and Harwin continue on to the Sugga Key. I'm kind of interested to play it, because it is possible that you guys would be so brazen that you'd be like rude to the people of Moonstone, and if you're fighting like Mishka, Shay, et cetera, et cetera,
Starting point is 00:24:58 it might get a little daze. Yeah, I love it. And all the barbarians, yeah. The question is, would we successfully endear Shay? I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. fighting like Mishka, Shay, et cetera, et cetera. It might get a little better. Yeah, I love it. And all the barbarians, yeah. The question is, would we successfully and dear Shay? Would we say Mishka?
Starting point is 00:25:11 Oh, if you were buff and awesome? Yeah. Yeah. Good question. I like this idea. I like raising an evil dragon right now. Let's just talk about that real quick. Maybe you would succeed on your dragon handling roles
Starting point is 00:25:25 and wouldn't get acid all over your face. God. Michael McDee asks, assuming all goes well in the North when it comes time for the band of booze to start heading back to the mainland, have you guys given any thoughts to how you will travel without a ownership? Oh shit.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I'm sure that the cold day, where's my ship? The cold day's gonna let us a cool dwarven one. That's got a big drill on it. It's gonna be rad. They definitely, they have like sea ships. I mean, if there's some sort of like airship that's like mass transit, that's like public transportation,
Starting point is 00:25:56 it might be kind of fun. Yeah, a public transportation airship would work. I guess I imagine Jane was gonna bring the airship back after she saw people. She's gonna be gone for like maybe 20 days. Yeah, and everything we... Didn't you say it takes like 10 days to get down there? No, it's gonna take, I think over five days.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Over five days. And I guess like coming back isn't really the safest thing for her. Uh-huh. You would be good for your boat to park it in a frost wind. Depending on how we do this, I mean, maybe the people of Frostwind will be celebrating us so much
Starting point is 00:26:28 that they'll just love us in airship. Maybe more likely will be escaping under the cover of night. We'll steal a ship. I guess that's probably what we'll end up with. Yeah, maybe a giant will just throw us. That could work, really hard. We need a second.
Starting point is 00:26:41 If we wanted to steal a ship, we could work with the thieves' guild. We've just installed. Oh my God, that a ship, we could work with the thieves guild, we've just installed. Oh my God, that's exactly, and they'll crew the ship. My little band of pirates. Oh, and then we can keep those little babies forever. I love their little voices. And their wispy little beers.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Tell the wife. Our birds shall deliver us. Oh, that's true. I could maybe summon some animals. Yeah, I meant that the thieves guild was our little birds. Yes that's true. I could maybe like summon some animals. Yeah I meant that the thieves guild was our little birds. Yes. Oh right. A little birds. That was my birds. I'll also ride a big titted elk all the way back. Yeah we can just do that. Yeah can you just transform into like a big whale with boobs? Oh I'm gonna I'm actually gonna be able to transform into way bigger animals if I take another level
Starting point is 00:27:26 of druid, I believe. I think I'm right on the cuss. How close are we to, here's a question for me. How close are we to leveling up? Are we not that close? You guys haven't had that many fights and I'm kind of just to kind of prolong the campaign and stuff. I'm using kind of video game rules where it takes a little longer to level once you get
Starting point is 00:27:42 a higher level. Yeah. So once you guys are, uh, that makes sense. We have a really done shit. Yeah. You guys, you guys leveled up after Smuggler's bounty, I think, before we're on Swind. Okay. Yeah. But what have we done in Bruce when besides get my girlfriend killed and, uh, a bunch of door fate. Yeah. You bought some Ackrock eyes. Yeah. You bought some giants. I mean, we're gonna have to do some fights. Yeah. Pretty soon. soon. I think next big story encounter.
Starting point is 00:28:10 It would be like when we tabletopped Russ Gack, that should pop us up to level nine. When you kicked shit and tell us how many of your eight points did we get for that? You got 10,000. Wow, it's nothing. Whenever I'm fixed for that, it really makes me laugh because I picture moonshine doing such a successful soccer
Starting point is 00:28:27 kick with just a little pile of poop. I picture it slow motion until it goes in and it's just like, oh, it just, he's swallowed it. He's swallowed it. It's in. Just like the form of a soccer kick is like so. It's a bicycle kick unnecessarily.
Starting point is 00:28:45 I think it just like went right down his windpipe too. It was like no friction on it. Down his throat, at his ass right away. I thought this- Perfect pass. I thought this question was kind of interesting for the characters. Evan O said, what locations have been the most memorable? Where would each character want to retire if they moved to retirement? The Crick.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Yeah. Everybody moves at the Crick? Hard one now. Hard one. Hard one. Fucking loves the Crick. I feel like the entire campaign, he'd been like falling in love with the Crick culture, like the Crick water, old cops his best friend, loves moonshine, like, and then going to
Starting point is 00:29:22 the Crick was so beautiful. He fucking worships Mama. Yeah, it was true. Hard one really does love the Crick. You really made the Crick like, what's that right? It doesn't like splash mountain. Like all the fun stuff before it gets scary.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah. So it was quite beautiful. And obviously moonshan would probably go back to the Crick. Moonshan would go back to the creek. Moonshine would go back to the creek, but I mean, I also have been really into Frostwind. Like not moonshine, like as it, as maybe Emily's more into Frostwind
Starting point is 00:29:55 because I studied abroad in Prague and I just, I love stern cold people. Okay. Brutalist architecture. Yeah. What about you, Bev? I think Bev would go to the Crick too, but he would have a little Hobbit house
Starting point is 00:30:12 amidst all this tree stumps. Oh, that's cute as hell. Very sweet. Just like wise old, I think like when a Grav would teach the children. I think when a Grinna gets a level 20, you become almost like a stagman who like doesn't age. Oh yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:30:28 The crickets would love you. Who think it's swing on my anters? In like 300 years, just this like wacky little dude who lives in Hollywood. What becky it, don't you already have like some sort of branch of green teens at the crick? What are they like the little fire kids? Oh, the cricketeers.
Starting point is 00:30:43 The cricketeers. Oh, you'd be a great school master there. So yes, thus far, we've had the green teens, the Cricutiers, and now the thieves' guild, which is an honorary branch of the green teens. Oh, okay. Okay, cool, cool. You're starting little chapters everywhere you go.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Yeah, that's Bev's journey. He's no longer a green teen. He's now a leader of teens, like Johnny Appleteen. Go forth and deal with it. Not a key of Apple teen. Although I feel like when we all go to the Feywild, we're all gonna be obsessed with that. Yeah, we're all, man.
Starting point is 00:31:11 We're gonna go to fucking Feywild. I think I've got. Definitely have like a time share in the Feywild, for sure. And I do like picture of the Feywild. I just like that we're all talking about retiring together. Oh yeah. Oh that's so cute.
Starting point is 00:31:22 One hundo, we're all going to the Grey Havens together. We were all invited. Yeah, it's interesting, because I think some people get so, so, so into the role play aspect of it that they value like the NPCs that they came up within their backstories almost more than they do the other characters in the party. But it's very wholesome that you guys are just like,
Starting point is 00:31:42 no, my best friends are a hard one Beverly and Moonshine. We're gonna live together in one big house. When we are done, one big retirement community. One big retirement community. One big block. One big call to sack. Marissa asks, fuck Mary Kill, glad Akira Denny.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Wow. I don't wanna fuck any of them. They're weak men. Uh, fuck Akarat. Like, no duh. I would fuck Akarat, but in one of his bodies. Right. They give you an inhabited of color. I'll say Akarat, you could pick the body.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Okay. I'd go hollow body, like a deformed dwarf body. Okay. I guess I'd marry Denny. I'd marry that guy. Yeah body. That's me. I guess I'd marry Danny. I'd marry that guy. Yeah, Danny's loaded. Got a lot of family money. That would be fun.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Yeah, that's strategic. Do I have to sleep in the same bed as him as a husband and wife? No, you get a miserable relationship. Definitely have twin beds. Well, I wouldn't make it obviously miserable. I think I would just be like, I'm a really particular sleeper.
Starting point is 00:32:45 That's fine, babe. What you're sleeping over? I could really walk all over him. No, I wouldn't walk all over him. I just kind of, I don't know, maybe I could make him a better man. I would really, we'd be like shifts passing in the night.
Starting point is 00:33:00 We'd have our separate lives. And I don't think anyone ever say anything. I'd also fuck galad because he basically offered. Right now. Oh, that's true. You can tell he's like no stranger to it. Right, revive him and be like, I'll take you up on that all the time.
Starting point is 00:33:16 I just feel like getting in a relationship with Akra, you're just gonna be talking about his dad all the time. Yeah. Maybe like he's got issues. Maybe I would fuck, maybe I would fuck, collage, just as an excuse to like ask more about Rosalene because it's mine now. Yeah. It's just like going sex.
Starting point is 00:33:33 So what does it do when it crits? Do you get to kill him after you fuck him? That's so fucking real. That's so fucking real. Yeah, you do all three to each of them. Right. It's just the order that you're choosing. And someone else did ask, this is actually a good follow up question. Somebody asked, oh, I don't see their name here, I'm sorry, but somebody did ask who was
Starting point is 00:33:55 the bigger weiner or annoyance to you guys, Akarat or Galad. Oh. Galad really got under my skin. Yeah. I think because Bev idolized him too. Yeah. And I like fell. It was a betrayal.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Yeah. I felt like really like you, you asshole little kids look up to you. That's true. You guys should go back and I don't know if since you guys have like killed Galad and we've had all this time, if you guys have, like, listens to episode 10 when you guys are like, you and Galad fight on the same side against the bunch of zombies in the world. Including my mother, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Yeah, I think that's why I'm glad I hated him more because he, like, knew secrets that he wasn't, like, telling me and he would, like, needle me about them too. So Akira is, like, a bad guy, but he's just, like, a normal bad guy. It's not like he's a bad guy that also has something on me They both heads a sensuality to them. That is not my taste
Starting point is 00:34:52 I feel like that's like the only kind of villain. I know how to make both kind of scary and Funny. Yeah, just like kind of breathless and sexual Get off on killing. Your two characters are standoffish beautiful woman. Alla Luna. And beautiful man who breathes too much. Yeah, I both breathed too much, but glad I had high pitch moving.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Yeah. In my head. In my head, Akira looks like data from Star Trek, but like way hotter. Oh, now I want to fuck. He's definitely. Domain now, what a fuck. Dominic A asks question for Jake. How does your knowledge and confidence in D&D feel after 40 episodes?
Starting point is 00:35:40 It's been very entertaining to watch you learn to play and begin being a part of the decision-making process in-game as opposed to leaving that up to veterans, Emily, and Caldwell, do you still feel like you are playing ketchup at all? I definitely feel like I know hard one and his weapons and all of his stats really, really well. Yeah. And then when we did Trinaville, I was looking at Ranger stuff
Starting point is 00:36:04 and I was like found out that I got spells and it like I have I have so far to go But I think it's sort of like learning a language you have like a base now. Yeah now looking at the spells and stuff It's not so daunting that I want to shut the book and forget it like you're fluent but not conversational. Yeah, not conversation at all But you know hard one one, like the bag of your hand though. Yeah. You always like coming in, like you're doing the moves, right? You know? I think that was a big learning curve term for me,
Starting point is 00:36:34 because like I didn't realize that I had no idea how much role play was involved in D&D. I thought it was just like the three of us, buddies sitting around talking about like what our do, and then we rolled to see if our characters did it. But when we said it this table, we're like not. You're not called. No, I don't know you.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I'll call you by that name. I'm not called, well, I am a paladin. The funniest to me is when I, like, roleplay romantic stuff with Murf. I'm just like, just like, is he any other over the DM? When Gemma kisses me on the balcony, but Murf is like, she kisses you.
Starting point is 00:37:10 I'm like, oh. I can't tell you how am I get whenever you say, I wanna use my action surge. Yeah. I'm always like, oh yeah, this person's dead now. Oh, I see here, Greg S is the name of the person who brought up the Galadver Sackar out question.
Starting point is 00:37:27 So thank you Greg. So if you're not saying the name before. Thanks Greg. Emma H asks, what are some of the biggest and or most unexpected changes that the band of boobs characters have gone through? What types of character growth were you expecting and are the characters following that trajectory or having unexpected transformations. I have a cute surprise. Well, this is just a moment that I didn't expect, which is that when
Starting point is 00:37:53 Bev gave moonshine the little necklace of teeth. Yeah. I thought that was so sweet. I was just like, oh, I thought he was like, I thought that was like his collection and then he just gave it to her and I thought that was. That was his thing. Yeah. No, I think that like Bev loves collecting things, but I think Bev also likes giving things away. Yeah, it was really cute.
Starting point is 00:38:18 I didn't expect that. Yes, gift giving, Andrew. Maybe that's a light answer, too. Oh. I do, I mean, in a similar vein, gift giving, Andrew. Maybe that's it. Maybe that's a light answer too. I do, I mean, in a similar vein, I guess, I have had a lot of kind of things that I've done with them where I'm like, don't you need to keep doing this? And you know, initially when I started, I was like looking for merit patches
Starting point is 00:38:36 and like trying to collect a bunch of things. I think I've still carried on the collecting aspect, but it's changed. It's changed darker. Yeah, I am. My impulses and cravings have grown ever darker. I think it makes sense. Bev realized that the merit patches weren't what he loved.
Starting point is 00:38:51 It was the collecting that he loved. Yeah, exactly. So he was just like, well, I'm gonna collect shit that's cooler than merit patches. Yeah, like teeth. Like teeth and chapters of teens. And fad. And dads.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Yeah, it's true. I've switched from dads to legions now. Small armies of teens. And fathers of kids. Yeah, and dads. It's true. I've switched from dads to legions now. Small armies of boys. I feel like one of the developments of hard one that I've liked is not knowing if he says awesome as he like says he is. When I started playing in my head, hard one was awesome.
Starting point is 00:39:22 And I still think he is, but I've definitely been playing him more like insecure Jake from Jake and Amir sometimes. That is so funny. Yeah, there is a lot of like, like, not lying, light lying, embellishing and diminishing. I thought that though. Chest puffing.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Because the Murf kind of like hinted at me that at the Dwarf and Edge, you weren't as popular as you thought. Was that him knowing as a DM? Or was that like, did you guys have an exchange of emails? Like he seemed to know that Gemma wasn't that Gemma, like that your breakup with Gemma was like maybe a little more in embarrassing than you let off. Like, was that candid from a start? I think that might have been something I ran by Emily because I was going into the frost-wint thing.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I was going to contact you, Jake, and be like, how much is hard one lying about? Cause obviously he's got a lot of hubris and bravado and the way he talks, it's like, he's clearly not actually known as like the great axe of iron deep. He was like a level one human that like people. I, you know what actually I do have an,
Starting point is 00:40:32 I thought about this a little bit because I had the same exact thought. Like I can't be a legendary hero from blitz. Yeah. So the way I was, the way I had sort of like made it make sense in my head, Have you ever seen newsies? Yeah. So long ago.
Starting point is 00:40:47 They were the hats. So I'm sort of, I sort of feel like I'm Jack from newsies, who was like the coolest newsboy, but he's still like powerless in front of all the actual big wigs that ran the newspaper and stuff. But you have kind of morphed in not even necessarily be the coolest at the dwarf in it. I will I'll go to my grave knowing that the coolest
Starting point is 00:41:09 I've ever been in the orphanage. I like thinking that the way you dug deeper into iron deep than any man before you was that Adorf asked you to like reach in with your long human arms Technically you went a little farther than everyone That's really great. We just fell asleep at the drill wheel. Uh huh. I mind the car deeper than anyone else. Yes. Ah.
Starting point is 00:41:31 It's like when you wake up and you're in like Coney Island. Thinking of that though, just brings me back to another question, talking about that mine car and like that fight that we had with the mine car. And so that's like that. Yeah, that was rad. That makes me feel like, oh, I hope we get a weird form of transportation
Starting point is 00:41:45 away from frost wind. It's hard. We got the airship so early. I know, but I'm open to. It would be fun to get something kind of weird. Maybe your airship is like our tiny Bronco and then we'll get the full on high wind next. You do always have a weird day
Starting point is 00:42:03 when you have to go and get your car from somewhere. Yeah. You know, like, what do you drive to get there? How do you do it? You drive a, you drive a, you're renting a city by calling a new, but it's a four-focus. For focus, rather. Oh, there was a little end on this question that said, basically, what things, with episode
Starting point is 00:42:19 one band of boobs, be in disbelief hearing about their future selves? Oh. I guess maybe that I was actually doing heroic shit. be in disbelief hearing about their future selves. I guess maybe that I was actually doing heroic shit. Right, yeah. Like you show up like at that bar being like, I need to make a name for myself and then if you actually do it, that's good. I believe the first thing you did,
Starting point is 00:42:39 you asked Denny if he had a boat or like fisherman or... Or like... Yeah, you were looking for work as a fisherman. That's awesome. What would my life have been if he had work for... If you had gone into the fishing dock first. I can tell you. And he was the first person I met outside of Iron Deep.
Starting point is 00:42:56 I would think he was the man. If you had met like Dalf the Shaman first, you would have just joined up with the Crack Doothclan. No questions. We did the first thing we all did together was to to cap it to people. So I guess, yeah, right up the bat. Yeah, maybe Moonsha will be surprised at how
Starting point is 00:43:11 barbaric she's become. I think Beverly would hear that he had pranked God and be like, yeah, that sounds about right. But then somebody would tell him that he kisses a boy and he'd be like, what? Finally, with Tongue. because it's a boy, he'd be like, what? Finally. With tongue?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Ah. Andrew M. says, what's the biggest most exciting things the band of boobs have just wandered past, failed to explore, not perceived? That's the question for you. I guess really, only I would know that. You guys never, I believe we talked about this
Starting point is 00:43:42 maybe in the last, no, we couldn't have done it in the last bonus episode because it came out so long ago. I believe you guys failed your perception checks to find the widow's hideout. Yeah, that's big. In the tunnels. What she was not there, or was she there?
Starting point is 00:43:59 She was not there. She had already been taken. That's the biggest kind of missing thing that went differently than I thought. I, the widow had like an arc with all this stuff, but she's gone. Also, I had plans for Galad to be the big bad of the campaign,
Starting point is 00:44:22 because you guys hated him so much. I was gonna make him like the main bad guy essentially. Oh, like not necessarily the ill said. No, he wasn't gonna be the ill said, but he was gonna be like, Theala is the, you know, she's the Empress now, but he's the one who like is boots on the ground,
Starting point is 00:44:42 doing the shit after you guys. He wants you guys dead. He's the Kevka. So what? Yeah, exactly. But we killed him. What happened to you killed him? But oh, I didn't think you would,
Starting point is 00:44:54 I didn't think you would doom the widow. We just did a really good job killing him. Well, good job is relative because we did decide to dam my mother to a uh, to, uh, to it. It was one of our finest and first want things, I would say. Mm-hmm. Wow.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Yeah, that's fun. So that would have been, that would have been, that was something I didn't decide until, uh, you guys were in Galator on and Galad was just supposed to be kind of the little mini bad guy of that arc he was the professor duttle of Galator on. Mm-hmm. Um, but then you guys hated him so much. And I was like, it would be awesome for this guy to just be like the one who keeps following them
Starting point is 00:45:31 and fucking with their shit. Yeah. Hate him so much. But then you guys fucking beheaded him. Well honestly, I'm glad we did. Yeah. I still have this head. You've done an admirable job of throwing more galads
Starting point is 00:45:43 our way. Yeah. You gotta keep bringing back the galads Akarad is like galad level two for sure Like with galad we would have never had Akarad Damn make she think I don't want to know that like We also never met old Cobb's son young corn Have a whole arc planned for Young Corn? I just still hope for him.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Who was the, the Elven guy that was in the Cobb Squad? Oh, yeah, I was thinking about him today. Harden, yeah. Harden, yeah. We decided he was a human, raised by Crick Alps. The great sort of the Crick. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:24 You just, hold on. I liked of the Crick. Yeah. Yeah. You just, ooh, hold on. I liked him by the end of it. Yeah, yeah. You're like, I can't hit you. Just wanted to get dumb and strong. The Cobb Squad was Couter, Hardin, and Cobb. A friend of weight to go to war with the Cobb Squad. Friend of a Cobb is my friend too.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Oh, that's a good question that it's kind of obvious. Who's the saddest? Who could you think of that would be like the saddest minor character death? For me, it might be Kooter. Oh, whoa, that'd be devastating. Because like, me, mom matters, mom, mom matters, old cop matters, you know, the toe golds matter,
Starting point is 00:46:58 Irland, Aguene, they all matter. Who's like a character that has had like four lines that if they died, you'd be like no. Oh, it was Josh. I know, I know my nanokind leaf. Oh, that's so funny. Yeah. Damn, do I have one?
Starting point is 00:47:18 Do we meet anyone else? That's fresh children. That's fresh children. I don't know. Any of the like dwarfins I feel like I was the devastating because they're children Also I think I was the only one who was really obsessed with them but the little dwarfs on the wall from this week's episode Oh they have been actually executed
Starting point is 00:47:40 I thought they're cute as hell This episode of NADPOT has brought to you by Bird Dogs I thought they're cute as hell. This episode of NADPOT has brought to you by Bird Dogs. There are company that makes pants and shorts, so no matter where you fall and the age old battle between the two, you can rest assured that Bird Dogs has you covered. Now we all know when the legwear war begins and we're forced to choose a side, it's gonna be difficult. Luckily Bird Dogs has made the decision of which pants and shorts to buy a little easier. Bird Dogs stretchy khakis are
Starting point is 00:48:09 designed to fit slimmer through the thigh and leg to give you a truly sculpted look. And instead of making their clothes out of restricting cotton, Bird Dogs invented a cloud knit fabric that looks just like khaki, but stretches so you get a way slimmer fit without having to sacrifice movement. And trust me, you are going to need all the movement you can get when you and your brothers and legs are out there on the battlefield kicking the shit out of your rivals. So when the lower body battle begins and brother is forced to kick brother, make sure you are wearing bird dogs.
Starting point is 00:48:39 To get yours and a free Yeti-style tumbler, go to birddogs.com slash pop-off or enter promo code pop-off at checkout. That's birddogs.com slash pop-off or promo code pop-off for a free Yeti-style Tumblr. You won't want to take your birddogs off, we promise you. Okay, that's it for me, go team pants, and enjoy the show. Evidity asks, after this campaign finishes, will you make a new world for the next campaign or keep it in the same realm with different character slash time periods? I had the same question for you. Yeah, I mean, I think it's kind of up to all of us.
Starting point is 00:49:14 I think we'll kind of see, we talked about this a little bit on the short rest, but this is in the main feed, so let's talk about it here. But part of me was like, oh, maybe we do something a little bit more low fantasy. Not like, you know, no magic or anything like that, but maybe no like, airships or like, modern-ish technology. I mean, but I do like that. That's a fun thing to do in Bohemia, like in the dark ages of Bohemia.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Yeah, that's true. Like in the future, the magic is gone or something like that. We'll see how this campaign ends, you know? Yeah. That's true. You know what, when I first started playing and you said Old Cobb had a blooder bus, like the magic is gone or something like that. We'll see how this campaign ends, you know? Right, that's true. You know what, when I first started playing and you said old cop had a blunder bus, I was like, that's insane, like no.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I had like a visceral reaction to it. Cause I totally thought of D&D as Game of Thrones. And Lord of the Rings, that's what I thought it was. And there's no fucking cars in Lord of the Rings. That's crazy. Well, there are like, they've crossed paths. There's steam punky stuff.
Starting point is 00:50:11 And in Warcraft, you can have a Blender bus. Right, but I think my fantasy is like, I'm a very specific nerd where I've only ever watched Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. Right. So I have no, nothing else to pull from at all. Interesting. So you were viscer nothing else to pull from it all.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Interesting. So you were viscerally turned off by O'Cob and yet he became your best friend. Yeah, yes. What an art. Exactly. I also, yeah, I forget the first time I saw some kind of like modern technology that I was, oh, is when we went to Esri. Yeah. What are the cars? What are you talking about? There's no cars. No, they're not cars.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Yeah, it's not cars. They're not cars. Oh, they're not cars. Yeah, I think steam punk rules apply. Absolutely. You can have like a weird little cart. You should go. I'm on board with it now, especially after like looking
Starting point is 00:50:55 at the D&D art from Wizards of the Coast. Like now I'm fully, I'm pulling aboard. Here's the question, Jake, would you ever play a sci-fi campaign? I don't, I guess I would try anything because I've had so much fun with this, but I don't have the vocabulary in the shorthand and like the kind of, I feel like I just draw on Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones so often in this.
Starting point is 00:51:20 I think that it's like so easy to translate though. Like Jedi is just paladin. Like, you know, like you could have like a swashbuckling on solo type. You could be like a barbarian. There's a lot of, yeah, I guess I would pull maybe from like Star Wars and like Marvel and Avengers. Yeah, that's what it is.
Starting point is 00:51:38 That's sci-fi. Yeah, I would feel like space is boring. Is that what I looked up and- I prefer fantasy to sci-fi. I guess, I guess space is boring. Like stars I don't fucked up? I prefer fantasy to sci-fi. I guess, well, space is boring. Like stars and planets and like this, like astronomy is cool, but just like being on a ship is fucking boring.
Starting point is 00:51:54 It's so claustrophobic. I think you can see it just like, you can't breathe. I guess the Avengers have powers, but like in Star Wars, nobody has like real powers. They're just in a really interesting time. I think it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:52:04 And they have crazy tools. Yeah, it's like it's more like cool stories than, I mean, I guess it is cool to go from like planet to planet and stuff. But yeah, I think your world map is just like a solar system instead. And kind of have like planetary adventures. I say we all play dads in a suburban cul-de-sac
Starting point is 00:52:22 with no magic powers whatsoever. Oh, whatever. Ha, ha, ha. Which one likes their coffee the honest? I mean our next campaign. We're just rolling to find out if we're late for picking our kids up from soccer. Oh, that's damn insane. Oh shit. I rolled it too.
Starting point is 00:52:37 My wife is having a affair with the gardener. I think oh shit, I'm the gardener. I think we probably see where this campaign gets to. And so, because even like, as you look through the monster menu on everything, there's all these monsters and races and everything that you guys never like met or never fought or anything, but you've passed their challenge writing.
Starting point is 00:52:58 You almost need to like choose a track. You know what I mean? Like even if you sound, you missed out on like, goblins and stuff. Like, you had bully wugs. So even if you have, you missed out on like goblins and stuff. Like, yeah. Because he had bully wugs. So there is so much room to just be like, okay, go to the end of our story, see what happens
Starting point is 00:53:13 at the end of our this Bahumia arc, see if like, oh, this changes the world in a fun way. So we go 100 years in the future, we go 10 years in the future or something like that. You know what, I would go from there. You know what, game or what like change I would play is like if we kind of played on like an infernal plane. So like hell.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Yeah. Oh, it would be interesting to do like a real grim like a Diablo type thing. Like maybe hell is an oppressed place that just gets a bad reputation. I like like almost like Dark Souls or like Bloodborne. Yeah, type stuff. Here's an idea that I already know is a bad idea,
Starting point is 00:53:56 but like piloting three different worlds. You know what I mean? Dimensional travel. No, we create three different worlds and three potential champions. Like record episode zero of three different ones of this photo. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:54:12 That's a lot of work for her. Yeah, adventure zone did do that. Oh, they did, right. It seems like it's a shit ton of work. And then people would choose one that we didn't like the most. That's the problem is you kind of have to be, you have to be passionate about, it's hard to be passionate about one.
Starting point is 00:54:25 You want to do, but he was about idea. I knew it. Yeah. I mean, it would be good if we did it for ourselves and then whichever one were like this is the one I like the most, but then it might be like, well, I like my character in this campaign, but I like this world better.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Coming up with the new characters, the hardest thing, it's so crazy that we did it for Trinity Vale. Now that I'm two, I'm like, I have three, no. I can never. The thing that I feel like there is a freedom though to Trinity Vale being like the once a month thing because like hard one you've played for 40 episodes now, you'd need to think like,
Starting point is 00:55:00 do I wanna play NIAC for 100, 200 episodes? Like whatever next character you make, you're like, that needs to be someone that I want to play with for two or 300 hours. But they always evolve into... I've had characters that I was like lukewarm on and then by the end of it, I really like them. I think that's sort of an interesting thing
Starting point is 00:55:20 because since I feel like I know how to play hard one, when I was like first starting to play Niac, it was like extra frustrating, because you should be faster. You're like fucking role play you idiot. Oh no, I don't know this guy's voice yet. It's almost like when you know how to ride a bike, but you're still struggling on skateboarding.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Yeah. It's gonna be hard like doing it at home. It's gonna be hard doing it monthly, because. That's gonna be hard doing it monthly, cause like that's so much time for things to sit and kind of like saturate into your brain. Yeah. But I think it'll be good. I think it'll be like,
Starting point is 00:55:55 Oh, it's a little treat. Theoretically, as this campaign, as the Bahumia campaign goes weekly, we could potentially go through several of those campaigns, but still be with like, Jens and Naya, yeah, yeah, on X, which is kind of like a fun day. That's very interesting. I also have thought that potentially in the future,
Starting point is 00:56:18 after we finish this campaign, that we would do a God tier campaign essentially, like if all of your characters survive or whatever new character you roll after, if you get to level 20, then it would be like, we do a new campaign that's like three or four episodes a month, but once a month, we also do moonshine,
Starting point is 00:56:37 hard one in Bev, just like going through the planes, like fucking God's shit. Oh, dope, yeah. He'll crack it with nothing right. And then when that campaign ends, we just roll play us at the quick That is the dad campaign There's a circle called the sec it is it is fun to think of you guys Aging up and becoming NPCs essentially for the next one. Oh, yeah, I don't would die way before everybody else
Starting point is 00:57:05 So much earlier. God. They better have a son or daughter. Oh yeah. I don't play them. Yeah. Moonshan's gonna, Moonshan will live like, well, I think we established this earlier,
Starting point is 00:57:15 but I think Bev's specific type of paladin, unless he's killed, I think he stops aging. Oh yeah, I probably become a tree or something. Oh, I think he'd become like a tree man. Yeah. Well, can't wait to see you as a tree. Well, a tree boy. Yeah, yeah, I probably become a tree or so. I think you become like a tree man. Yeah. Oh Can we see you as a tree boy? Yeah, I think I think I did like I think broccoli straw. Yeah I think you get to think like an animal type is so majestic in my head And I was not imagining Beverly like amazing tree stride through the forest and cult all just says a broccoli
Starting point is 00:57:43 Shattered. Shattered broccoli. I'll be broccoli. Oh, that was. Romanesco. I think that's kind of two different styles of play. It's like, I think, Caldwell and Jake are a little different in the way you guys play the game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:02 For Caldwell, it's like, it's fantasy in the way of getting to explore your creativity and be funny and do things that aren't expected. Jake, it's like, I want to be this dude. So I thought that was because somebody asked on the Twitter and I'm sorry, I don't have it right in front of me, but somebody was very upset that it was actually a friend of spicy pinata, I believe, was upset because spicy pinata likes bound more than old Cobb. And this person thought that was crazy and thought that old Cobb was clearly superior. And I was like, I think if you're a Jake type player, you like old Cobb. And I think if you're a Cuddled type player, you like bound more. There's a lot of Bev and Old Cobb though.
Starting point is 00:58:46 They keep it light. True, true. But I agree, yeah, it is more of a jacto thing. I think that just speaks to how great the characters are, that they are various people's favorites. Everyone's someone's favorite. Right, that's the key to favorite. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Say right now though, Team Cobb or team Balnor. It is tough. I mean, I think old Cobb is a hard one's best friend. Yeah, you kind of have to say it. But like, Balnor is such good comic relief to me. I think there's like, when Balnor, it's like when old Cobb succeeds,
Starting point is 00:59:21 it's like, oh yeah, that's just Cobb being Cobb. But when Balnor grits, it's like, oh yeah, that's just Cobb being Cobb. But when Balnor grits, it's like the heavens have parted. Yeah. Which one is either one more fun for you to roleplay? Balnor I think is a little bit easier. It's easier to be funny I think is Balnor. Cause that type of just dumb dad joke is kinda comes naturally to me.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Old Cobb I like for the more serious stuff. I don't know that, like, Boundor, one of my favorite episodes that we did together was we're on the ship with Oofgar and Ol' Cobb told you the story of Maribel and everything. I think that's what I'm talking about. I think that's fucking chill story. And so Ol' Cobb, I think he's a cool character
Starting point is 01:00:00 for that reason. Ol' Cobb has got Frontier Wisdom. And it's very easy to get poetic and bucolic with him. Exactly, it's very nice to have big moments with Cobb and small moments with Boundores. It's kind of how I feel. I miss the hell out of Cobb. Yeah, I miss him too.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Can we do a Cobb quest? Oh, that's a fun. Yep, somebody else asked actually, if we would ever do a flashback episode with you guys playing as Maribel Cobb and... Yep, somebody else asked actually, if we would ever do a flashback episode with you guys playing as Maribel Cobb and... Some other idiot. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:30 I would. Oh, Mima, yeah. Maribel and Mima and Cobb. Oh yeah, because they used to be a adventure. I'll be pre-awaken Mama. Yeah. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Hang her.
Starting point is 01:00:40 Hang her. Is it Mama being dumb? Would be so strange. Oh, wow. Wow. Even a dumb Mama is would be so strange. Oh wow. Wow. Even a dumb mom was smarter than most people. Okay guys. And you know what?
Starting point is 01:00:52 Let's do a little lightning round at the end here. Let's just go watch a purple lightning. Why don't we, yeah, as I say, ask your Zahol lightning round. Let's go through hashtag, nad pod on, Twitter, and see what people are asking. What's your favorite part of the adventure so far, including the return to moonstone? Ali asks, lightning round. Oh, go.
Starting point is 01:01:12 They have the red card, favorite part. That's a big question. My most recent favorite thing is the little the little frost wind doors, and they're silly voices. Finding out that I was on my dad's airship. Oh, that was dope. That was a great moment. Uh, a jimma dying.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Oh, that's cool. Oh, yeah, I heard it. I mean, there it is for you. Actually, maybe the whole like mission with to get the note to Jema, we're pretty excited. That was cool, yeah. That was very exciting.
Starting point is 01:01:40 I loved Munchain and Maribel. Uh, Munchain was the new J was playing. Oh, God, yeah. That was my favorite. That was cool. Why don't you try to get a mirror to play a sassy troll calculator in a one-off episode? He always makes fun of it, but I bet he will get hooked as Zachary.
Starting point is 01:01:58 I think we will have a mirror on it. We will have, he will not get hooked. No chance. No chance of getting hooked. I think maybe he won't get hooked. I have played with people who don't get hooked. It is very hooked. I have played with people who don't get hooked. It is very funny when I've played with people that don't like it. I'm just like, how?
Starting point is 01:02:12 What's wrong? Are you in a different room than me? And you watch the rerun of a basketball game. This happened with my wife. Like, Sue's didn't really have that. Oh, yeah. And I think that like her reasoning was good. As she said, like, she talked to you about it. And you were like, why didn't you like her reasoning was good as she said, like she talked to you about it.
Starting point is 01:02:25 And you were like, why didn't you like it? And she was just like, I wanna hear you tell the story. She doesn't wanna like do the shenanigans. Yeah, she wants like a concise narrative, which respect. Yeah. Yeah. I do think of me as more interested though.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Yeah, he'll be on. He'll be on. He wants to come to that. He'll be, yeah. Why a troll calculator? I think it should be a rat folk calculator because Amir is a chipmunk. That's, it should definitely be rat folk.
Starting point is 01:02:50 No, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about,
Starting point is 01:02:58 what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, what about, the band of boobs has taken your campaign and any particular points he didn't expect them to fix on as fixed data on as much as they did. Love the show, got me into D&D, Parker M. What is the most shocking thing? You said, I think it was like last week on the first of the day that like, Munchain giving Jaina the ship and offering Mima's. Oh yeah, that was so, that was so,
Starting point is 01:03:24 I was expecting Jaina to kind of just like quietly go crazy the ship and offering Mimaw's. Oh, yeah. That was so nice. That was so nice. I was expecting Jaina to kind of just like quietly go crazy in the Koldane thing and maybe try to get the book for you guys or something. But once you offered Mimaw, that took her on a completely different trajectory. That's a nice different. Which is awesome.
Starting point is 01:03:41 That's really satisfying to know. I think it also opens up such a cool narrative for selfishly my character. And like his girlfriend's back, you know? I really want to, I'm so curious. I want to be there when you roll to see what she comes back at. If it's successful, I just want to know what she gets rolled to come back at. Yeah, me too. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:04:05 You know, a big ol' worm. I'm trying to think about the things. Also, after Bev's dad, after Bev loves to try by combat doing the execution brunch, and then you guys still saved him. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'd be headed right there in there.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Cause we, cause we, yeah, that was cool. Yeah. Didn't we make that, didn't we suggest that in the room? Yeah, you made that deal. Right, you were plotting on killing him, right? I was planning on killing him if you guys lost the job, I found that. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Man. That would have changed so much. Yeah. I feel like Bev's entire character would have been different than that happened. Yes, you absolutely would have. You might have been become a little devil boy. Yeah, I would have, oh man, if I had the ackarot coin
Starting point is 01:04:40 when that happened, fucking forget about it. Whoa. Yikes. Don't forget like that. That is true. We all know about the ackarot coin when that happened? Fucking forget about it. Whoa. Yikes. That is true. We all know about the Acarot coin now. Oh yeah. That was fun. It was fun.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Oh yeah, we had the Hola. We had the sweat lodge. Yeah, the sweat lodge. The zone of truth. Ha ha ha ha. That was a really fun moment. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:01 Yeah, y'all have done such a good job of like shifting the campaign. I feel like that was just a long time. Yeah. No, I don't know. Yeah, y'all have done such a good job of like shifting the campaign. I feel like that was just a long time. Yeah. No, I think everybody, I think like the Beverly and Irland thing was like, I've certainly like, presented Irland as a character where like, that was possible.
Starting point is 01:05:15 But like that was mostly like, at that point in that episode where Beverly and really, really came together, I was running a large scale like kind of war, like a civil war. So I was like, okay, there's a boat, like airships coming this way, hard ones over there with old Cobb. The family is inside Bebs house.
Starting point is 01:05:40 And then I wasn't even thinking like, oh, how would Erlin feel when you saw Ben and all of that? But I thought you kind of like, expertly like you played your character. And it reminded me, even thinking like, oh, how would Irland feel when he saw Bev and all of that, but I thought you kind of like, expertly like you played your character, and it reminded me, he's like, ah, live in the moment. Yeah. Kiss your friend. Kiss.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Oh boy. Put that on a pillow. Live in the moment and kiss your friend. What is your favorite part of recording these episodes? And what about D&D? Do you enjoy the most as Zach F? Well, we did just eat a bunch of big turkey legs. Oh yeah, that was good.
Starting point is 01:06:07 And that was pretty tasty. I like either eating, drinking, having some fun. Yeah. Yeah, I think it's just like being surprised. And that's why I like improv. It's like I like when you surprise yourself, when other people surprise you. Yeah, the moment when I have to rear back
Starting point is 01:06:25 from the microphone, because I'm laughing too hard, is always the best moment of her recording. But I also love the fucking roles. I love that kind of deal with- When a Nat 20 happens at a critical moment, it's this rush of not only replaying D&D, so it's exciting, because there's a one in 20 chance of that happening, but also you know,
Starting point is 01:06:44 it's gonna be such a great part of the episode. So you're having fun and you're also like, we're fucking ale like this right now. Okay, but on the, on the, uh, in the inverse, or I don't even know how to phrase that, the inverse is also true. When I rolled those three ones in a row trying to tame the dragon, it was horrifying, but it also was thrilling. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:04 I think that the dice like helping you tell the story is the most fun to me. It's just like a low level computer. Like some sort of chipmunk computer guiding our game. Oh, here is back. Do you think the dice could write Hamlet? I think that we could write Hamlet better than Hamlet. We should do a Hamlet role play.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Okay, would you do that, Murr? We're all fighters, we all draw. We're all little fenders. I think you have the great thing for you. I want to play for it. About Shakespeare and I do. I want to play the... I want to do something that's gonna be way weirder
Starting point is 01:07:36 than Hamlet. There's literally sisters called the weird sisters in Hamlet. That's a bit of a myth. Oh, fuck you're right. They might be in Hamlet. There's a ghost in Hamlet. Hamlet's dad is a ghost. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so yeah, it's definitely sticky. Okay, so you'd have ghosts, no balls,
Starting point is 01:07:52 and bars who put on a play. Okay, okay. Yeah. Our friend Jeffrey S asks, besides murder of editing, does anyone listen to the finished episode or is it too weird listening to yourself? Lord of the Fjord. I listen to it usually day of the next recording. Yeah. I don't enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:08:08 That's a reason. It depends for me. Sometimes if we're gonna play and we haven't, if we're gonna play and we haven't played in a while, like if we had like batch recorded or something, I'll listen to them. I listen to them at two times speed, so I can like get,
Starting point is 01:08:24 and I listen at to them. I listen to them at two times speed, so I can like get, kinda, and I listen at the gym. So I get, so my, helps me hulk out. I think I've seen so much of myself from like being a performer on the side that like, I'm just like, I have such a thick skin for how much I can dislike myself. Yeah. I'm just sensing myself.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Do something stupid. It's just like, yeah, whatever. I don't know, I did my best in the moment. Okay. That's very I do something stupid. It's just like, yeah, whatever. I don't know. I did my best in the moment. That's very healthy. That's the chicken way to look at it. There's 60 more hours of me doing fine. That's what I'm saying is like sometimes I'll be in the car home
Starting point is 01:08:55 from a session and like really beating myself up about like not doing something better. But when I'm physically listening to it, you know, it's like, yeah, I expect myself to sound annoying. You've already beaten up yourself. Yeah. I'm physically listening to it. It's like, yeah, I expect myself to sound annoying. You've already beaten up yourself in half. I do like listening, especially after we've batch recorded and it's been a little while
Starting point is 01:09:12 and just hearing the goofs again. Feeling like, ah, yeah. We did smile to myself and laugh when I'm editing. I mean, it takes like 16 hours to add in episodes. So slowly going crazy. So slowly going crazy, but the first time I listened to it, I like it. LM asks any advice on encouraging other adventurers to get excited about the role-playing aspect.
Starting point is 01:09:36 My campaign is full of quiet, nervous folks, so I usually make the first move and inevitably do something stupid. I say, oh. That's important. You need to cattle catalyst like that. I was gonna say that, I've played with a lot of people who are new to D&D and I feel like the more you just are like,
Starting point is 01:09:52 okay, I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna make a big decision so they know that this is a thing, like that you can make a big decision. Like, it kind of, it makes it a safe space for people to get out of their shell if you're also making a fool of yourself. Right, yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:08 I think also, I remember first time I DM'd, when people role played, I would give them like, advantage on attacks and stuff. Oh, so then once people are super into it, you don't need to do that anymore, because people care, like you care about all of them. Do remember you doing that, and you never did it for me,
Starting point is 01:10:24 because you know I didn't need it. You still, you look at us. Yeah, I give you guys advantage on persuasion checks and stuff. Yeah, like all of us. He was a little more liberal with it. Before convincing. I would also say it's good to lead by example as much as you can. But then also, if you're playing with quiet people, sometimes they just need a little quiet
Starting point is 01:10:44 and they need more time than, say, a outgoing person who's like down to make a big move. So just like give them space and when they do make that move, like give them positive reinforcement. Right. You can also like give them gifts, you know, like you can like say like, oh, that's just like, like you can say, you can say like, oh oh, that's just like, you can say, you can say like, oh yeah, you're wearing a Fanny pack or something like that.
Starting point is 01:11:09 You know, like obviously it wouldn't- You get them stuff to interact with. Yeah, but I'm saying like, you can be like, you can make a joke, like, didn't I see you, like, housing bacon all morning, you know, and then that person, they might- I'm making a joke off of it, yeah. Yeah, obviously you would be like,
Starting point is 01:11:22 just like little, little jokes. Obviously you can't like make big decisions about the character, but you can like just kind of playfully see if they if they bite. Right. If they do a good role play, give them a jolly rancher in real life. That's the true advantage. I also I can't tell if LM is a player or DM through the DM. But as a DM, I feel like you can give advantage to people for role-playing. I think you could work the things people say or they have in their backstory into their,
Starting point is 01:11:54 into the campaign. You can, I think the easiest thing to do is to have like bullies in town. I've said this before, it was a great way to like egg Jake on. It's just have like, Jake's playing D&D. He's not gonna order, like buy a drink for some fucking punk at the bar. So like get people, like have some fucking drunk
Starting point is 01:12:13 bar bearing and be like, oh little no, you gonna sit on my lap. Like, get the people make them on. Yeah, it's very rude. Yeah, absolutely. But it's like, let's go to a different bar. We should go to a different tavern. I would also say if they're like very new to roleplay,
Starting point is 01:12:27 I think it's definitely okay. The training wheels of roleplay is kind of just describing what your character is doing and like how your character feels in the moment and like if you're not comfortable like speaking as that person yet, you'll get time. Also, I'm assuming that this,
Starting point is 01:12:40 I'm for some reason assuming this person is another player. So I would say also like like, you can get, you can give gifts if you want, if you feel like you can joke in a joking space. You can also just ask them lots of questions. Yeah. Yeah. So you know, like, you can also be like, I take them aside and I say, like, you know, like,
Starting point is 01:12:57 so you're tiefling, like, who's it, what's that about? You know? Right. You started, you started to sound with them. Yeah. Delilah asks, is there an agreed upon, don't do anything ridiculous rule. Y'all follow or is... Of course not. You listen to the block.
Starting point is 01:13:13 Wallace. Wallace. They just said it's because the plot lines seem to go pretty smooth. I think that is because while in combat and stuff, you guys do ridiculous stuff, you guys aren't really like, nah, fuck going to the creek. Let's go with Nana Kindleef to Hill Home. And I have to like build Hill Home at my ass. I wonder if I would, I guess I personally think
Starting point is 01:13:38 I would play like this even if we weren't recording. Cause like, I, it's like just a D&D player. I like the mission. Right. Yeah. The mission is all the story unfolds. Yeah. Yeah, actually a bunch of people ask like various versions
Starting point is 01:13:54 of this question, but about like creating the world or about like not real-roading people. I think people get so scared of real-roading people that they just make the sandbox world that you can quote unquote do anything in. But like, I don't know, especially like session one, it's like, oh, I go to the tavern and then I go to the bookstore. It's just like you're just a tourist. You're not invested. I like a little railroading.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Yeah, I think I, I, I don't remember who gave this advice, but somebody whyser than I said to give people three options, basically. Me. I don't know. Although, send me on his lap. Talk about the turkey leg menu. So many regrets from that menu. A lot of good looking turkey legs on there.
Starting point is 01:14:43 But I think also it's like, you know, you're not really railroading your players if you let them solve a problem any way that they want to. I think it's sometimes, oh, go on. Oh, I was just going to say it's like the ending is always going to be the same, but like, you let them decide the route. Sure, I mean, the ending often changes. Yeah. Based on what you guys do and uh... Sometimes I want to get railroaded that sounds so creepy. Because sometimes I'm scared. Sometimes like this when the stakes are super high. I'm like, fuck I don't want to pull. Just show me the way.
Starting point is 01:15:18 The thing here and I like I feel like I just like hit up the NPCs for anything. Yeah. I'm just willing to give us. Take my hand, put me on the train tracks. But it's collaborative storytelling with, with, with, with, with you included. Right, yeah. Like what kind of choice did you guys have at the Crick? It was like Maribel had taken it over and like Cricker out was everywhere.
Starting point is 01:15:40 Right, we could have fought Maribel or left. Yeah, exactly. It's like kind of, what are you doing that situation? But you approach it in any way. It wasn't like, you guys didn't show up to the creek and I wasn't like, you guys spend three days hanging out with everybody and then you guys wander off into the fog on night one.
Starting point is 01:15:56 Like, it's not that railroaded, but it is like, you know, there's a quest. Right. My opinion is that I really like it when we go back and forth. Like, with like, with like the Crick stuff, we had a very clear directive and we like knew what we were doing. But I also like those in-between episodes where we're like,
Starting point is 01:16:14 what now? Yeah, Frostwin is a little bit more open world. Yeah. It's true, like there's a lot of things we could have done. There's like a lot of bad decisions we could have made. We didn't even have to go to Frostwood. No, you didn't. We go to God's iron deep to find the hammer.
Starting point is 01:16:28 Yeah, I believe that was something that I cheated at a little bit where I think I texted you guys. I was like, are you guys going to iron deep or Frostwood? Yeah, that's fair. Yeah. I think like anything, like off camera stuff, that's like how narratives work. I think anyone who says that they could just like build
Starting point is 01:16:46 a whole city out of their ass is either, that might work for like a casual game or something, but if you're like a pro-dem who like just has all of the stats like in your head. Oh excuse me, my husband is a pro-dem. I am a pro-dem. That was so mean. That was so bad.
Starting point is 01:17:01 Ah. I don't, but like you wouldn't have, I guess you could come up with like, you'd know what the economy was of Iron Deep. You'd know that, I know who the king is. I know that there's like different houses. But it's more fun for you if you could sit down and just come up with the city.
Starting point is 01:17:18 And it's always good to do that. And it's more fun for us too. Like that fucking description of Frostwin when we first showed up was like, right, like you can't give it depth. I have no idea how much I was gonna hate the city based on the description. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:17:30 Beautiful. Yeah, I was like a snowy paradise, but what's under that snow? I love you to rap. Yeah. Let me see how we should do postcards for Frostwind. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 01:17:39 Well, who the postcards? That's what Jackie Sanuso's on. Oh, that's right. Frostwind, did it say, fuck you, I love you to Jackie sent us. Oh, that's right. The Frostwanda. Did it say, fuck you, I love you, Peter Rap? Yeah. Oh, so maybe I didn't have the time to do the original idea at all.
Starting point is 01:17:51 I think you did fine. Jackie, thank you so much for making Jake think that he's smarter than he is. God damn, I wish I did. Jackie's pretty close to Jake. So I would see why you would think that was your idea. It was actually much better. I think it was Jake.
Starting point is 01:18:03 We're a hard one move. One last question. Yeah. And I apologize if I pronounce this name wrong. Harishi V asks, what are moments when y'all cried? I don't want to talk about that. Really?
Starting point is 01:18:17 It's embarrassing. Why is that embarrassing? What's more, we played D&D in front of people. I hate it. I have not fully cried yet. I got choked up during moonshine and Maribel. Like, well, we were real playing that. Just say it because I cried.
Starting point is 01:18:34 That's okay. Okay, yeah, I cried. Yeah, I cried when I was talking Maribel. Get off my ass. And now moonshine cried when the, when the air elemental could make her drink at the Spoon Monter in. We had it off my meltdown And the air elemental could make her drink at the flume on her end. We had it off my meltdown for an hour and a half. Weeping.
Starting point is 01:18:51 I sure had circuited a... You're about to... Yeah, and then there was another episode where you said that hard one had too many sticky buns, and then I lost my eight pack a little bit. And I went home, we didn't record for two weeks. That was never cried, but it's common. I was like emotional during the, when we roleplayed me on the airship, talking Uncle Red. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:17 And when you told the story of Olkov and Maribel and Mima, I don't think I cried, but I, you know, sometimes I will. Yeah, because what kind of loser would cry to and D&D not me. Don't believe the rumors. It's the only way to make D&D less cool of it. Do you really? Yeah. I think we both do, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:40 That's so sick. You sick forever. I didn't do anything with it. I just thought you might want it for posterity. You have a photo of me when I found out that I was on my dad's ship. Yeah. I think you do.
Starting point is 01:19:51 Yeah, you showed it to me. You refused to take a photo of me, which I think is weird. I will sometimes envision moments that could happen in the campaign. And like, we'll make myself almost cry while I'm driving my car, like just thinking of how things would play out,
Starting point is 01:20:08 like sad things, yeah. It's the same way when you think about a loved one dying or something like that, you're just thinking about these characters and the tragedy that could befall them. Yeah, you get so worked up. Yeah, like this didn't happen. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:21 Do you guys ever had a random thought that you didn't end up pursuing about your character? Ooh. I mainly think that because I had a thought I started to think about something today that I was like, Oh, why don't I dig deeper into that? Um, and but obviously I'm, I'm thinking about, uh, exploring it, but I was wondering if you guys ever had something that you're like, Oh, I should do that and then just like never pursued it. Well, we talked about multi-leveling, or multi-classing. Multi-classing.
Starting point is 01:20:53 And there was a second where I was like thinking about becoming a barbarian, because that would explain like all the teeth that I was collecting. And that was going to be like my explanation for it was I was like, I'm giving up on like being a green teen. Like I need to like take the kid gloves off. Wow. And I think I did, I had like, when you guys were talking about multi-classing before I'd even like realized what it was,
Starting point is 01:21:14 I was sort of imagining doing some kind of like druid multi-class because like, you were trying to like rubbed off on me. And I wanted to learn spells, but now I'm too scared to learn spells. I feel like we should all take a level of barbarian because that fucking damage resistance is insane. It's true.
Starting point is 01:21:31 It's crazy. It's so crazy. You guys, I think it would be hard for a hard one to learn spells because you guys have made it can and two thirds of you can't read it, which is fucking insane. Ha! Ha! Ha! It's come up a lot of times.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Yeah. It really is like, it actually... It looks like a handicap for the D.M. It's kind of headed it out a couple times where, because you know, well, a bunch of people also ask this, like, how much gets headed out. I would say, there's usually like a two hour and 15 minute like session with a lot of fat, including like some bathroom breaks and stuff minute session with a lot of fat,
Starting point is 01:22:05 including some bathroom breaks and stuff. And then usually comes out to be like an hour and a half. Hard one, pisses all the time. Yeah, not Jake though. Just gotta shake a big blood out of the rocks. But there is some stuff where it'll be like, I wrote this thing, right? I did this thing.
Starting point is 01:22:22 You didn't fuck it right, you can't read. I could write. Yeah. I can't write words, but you can write. I can say everyone can write. I have one last question, and that's for Jake. Oh. Jake, we ever gonna see Kaka again?
Starting point is 01:22:38 That's a question for Murf. All right. You guys have been in Frostwin for like, oh night, Mr. Hill. Hawkeye went out like yesterday. Hawkeye's got like fucking... Hawkeye's a mission right here. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Hawkeye's got to find Mima on the crick-el's are not at Glade Home yet. Where did we call call of what to send a message to? Mima. Oh, I thought I was old Cobb. Oh, you know what's Mima? He's old Cobbs with Mima, right? You're either one.
Starting point is 01:23:03 Great, what does the message say? I forget. It's just letting him know where it's like. Yeah, right? You're either one. Great. What does the message say? I forget. It's just letting them know we're a client. Yeah, yeah, which is like, I'm like, at this point. We wanted to let them know that we're okay, because we also want to hear back from them, you know, to find out what's going on with them.
Starting point is 01:23:14 So, texting, hey, I just landed. Yeah. Cool. Which I should text Uncle Red. Oh, yeah. He has the mood, the speaking stone, right? Yeah, but I think we said it was at a range. So, that it would be broken.
Starting point is 01:23:24 Yeah, bad service plan. Yeah. There were some other, there were a bunch of repeat questions. There were a lot of people asking about DMing. I think maybe one time I'll just, I'll do some kind of little DM thing. So I give people advice because I think it's not necessarily for everyone. We've almost done that for a mixed bag. Yeah, that's sure.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Ask DM. It's, it is. That's a great mixed bag because we don't even have to do it, you know. It always, it always just to lose is. I know because I think some people, like for people who are DMs, it's like the dream and for everyone else, they don't just want it as much.
Starting point is 01:23:58 I don't care about what they do. Maybe they will care. I mean, I would definitely listen to like a thing about it. I would listen to between the screen with Brian Rafferty Oh, Daddy Murphy bedtime stories Bit Twix to the crits Yeah, but to people asked about like the process of creating the world and stuff We've talked about this before but definitely like Warcraft and Final Fantasy and stuff where we can do you know do
Starting point is 01:24:22 Sword and Sorcery fantasy, but also if we decided there was a snowboard video game, that's okay, because Final Fantasy VII did it. So I can get a little, a little crazy with it. Did that bump you, Jake? Oh, by then I had been bump so hard. I was way off the rocker. I think when that came up, I was like, finally. Do you not like playing those type of things?
Starting point is 01:24:43 No, I like, I mean, I like all of it. But if it's like, no, I wouldn't change anything. I think it's just like what my expectation was going. You wouldn't wanna do it. If like Frostwin was a snowboarding trip for like 10 episodes, that might not be your thing? Probably not. Actually, I don't know that.
Starting point is 01:25:01 I wanna be my dude. I'm absolutely my dude. I'm absolutely my dude. I've never felt like, oh shit, we're doing something I don't think it's really not. Actually, I don't know that I didn't like it. I want to be my dude. I'm absolutely with me, my dude. I've never felt like, oh shit, we're doing something I don't like. Right, we've applied a lot of time. But that's because you're one fourth of it and you can exert your will upon it.
Starting point is 01:25:13 That's right. Let's not join the video game. I see a troll beating up another troll over there. Always watching things fight in the taking aside. God. I noticed I called while it was quiet when we were saying that a snowboarding trip might not be your guys' thing. On saying it said, Dev,
Starting point is 01:25:35 I wanted to get really good at snowboarding. I did love that you were on skis. That was such a fun character, guys. And it just made the frowse I'd hate you more. A whole French fry. I believe you more full-french ride. I believe you were attacked first because of that. Absolutely. I think that will not be the last time,
Starting point is 01:25:52 nor was it the first time that I've been attacked for a dumb decision I made. And then this was also a decent amount of people asking if we're ever going to release a book or anything. And I think we will. Hopefully, and then yeah. I think ideally, I mean, and yeah. I think I know. I think ideally, I mean, we'd love to do a graphic novel,
Starting point is 01:26:08 and also I'd love to do some kind of module or something so that people could play our things. Yeah, module would be great. Build some Crick Elves. Uh-huh. Some Crick Bullie looks. All we need is three more days in the week, and then we can make it happen.
Starting point is 01:26:22 Yeah. We just need to, we have full time jobs on top of this job, which is pretty much a full time job. Absolutely a full time job. Yeah. The amount of emails and messages and like all sorts of stuff we gotta keep track of. But guys, we are blessed.
Starting point is 01:26:36 We are blessed on this harvest bounty. Not. On this earth's birth. On this earth's birth. We birthers are. Oh no. Oh good lordly fucking mouth. Five years birth.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Murph edit that out. Yeah, I'm on Shared. Out of the campaign. Put it in the front of the episode. A flat earth birthers. I want people to have that in their ears before like tasting everything she says. Oh my god.
Starting point is 01:27:03 Okay guys, I think we're gonna wrap it up sincerely. Thank you guys so much for listening and letting this. Yeah. We are all grateful for this community. Yes, we're thankful for you today. On this harvest, this harvest bounty, this earth's birth. Also, we got some things in the PO box that were very nice. Chris H sent me a collage of different pictures,
Starting point is 01:27:30 the different stages of Murph with pictures of me on various different bodies. As is white, it was very accurate. Holy crap, I'm so nervous. You really got to see that. Yeah, it's over there, it has little baby pictures of Murph. No, there like has like Mack and stuff
Starting point is 01:27:44 from like, oh, he's sunny. It's like various princess of Murph. No, they're like as like Mack and stuff from like oh, he's sunny It's like various kind of stages that have gone through honestly. Yeah, yeah, these are accurate. Just mapping you out. Yeah Fat Mac that is my life. I got super fat trying to get strong and it sort of worked, but I looked bad I was strong and not good looking it'll happen. I thought your heart is whole, dude. Hey, thanks, man. It was a brief moment there, but I didn't look too bad. We also got a very generous present. Thank you so much for Jeff S. Sentas.

I'm all of them. I can't decide. I refuse. Cool guys. I am not used to wrapping up a show that's not our play podcast but we should still plug all of our normal stuff. And that's where we'll end our episode. And that's where we are. Is that getting back in the way we are? We are. Yes. I got to plug some stuff.
