Thanks for coming back. I'm joined by the same crew from the first episode on this first adventure.
Starting point is 00:02:32 First off, we have Emily Axford. Hi, yeah, I played Bredel as Beth. Okay. As Snotty has ever, it sounds like. Oh, I mean, I can talk like myself. Oh, oh, wow. I thought you had a cool. Next up, we have Mike Trap. Hello, I am Turbine Spizzles Inc.
Starting point is 00:02:51 And then finally, Shivon Thompson. Hello, I am playing Astrid Stable. Everybody's favorite rich kid. You know how I room picks a favorite rich kid? Yeah, everybody has a favorite rich kid. And this is everybody's. Thank you. You collect cards.
Starting point is 00:03:09 This feels like very good brand. I would love a rich kid trading card pack. I think that would be extremely funny. I would love to burn them. Richie Rich, Astrid Starborn, and the little kid Batman. Whoa, I got five cards just named Trip. Trip the seventh?
Starting point is 00:03:32 Weird. Okay, so to get back into it, I'll give you all a little recap. In the first episode, we entered the world of Amelar where we found ourselves outside the Inless Holt to the East and outside the Bonber Mountains in a small town of Aberdeen on the day of remembrance, where the entire town honored the fallen doors and burham, while also sneakily having a touristy holiday festival.
Starting point is 00:03:57 We found Obelis's superfan turbine the nomish barred starting his day, brushing off his concerns by his overly-by overly by the book engineering parents, and the needy barflies at the peanuts limit to hop into his horrifying car with wheels made of boots to work the day of remembrance festival where he was bullied by Raider, Bink, and Bunk, and ended up having to use all his money to pay for their entry after they snuck in. Sorry about that, uh, turbine? That was such a sweet moment. Sorry about that. turbine. That was such a sweet moment.
Starting point is 00:04:25 We didn't fall for turbine in that moment. And then after that, Brenda Elizabeth awoke from a majestic dream where she galloped with the other beautiful forests. We such a good dream. With other beautiful horses toward a lake of soup and found that her eight grandparents had saved up enough to buy her a wristband for the festival.
Starting point is 00:04:45 After hugging all eight of them multiple times, she said, and also had a confrontation with Raider Mink and her secret crush, Bunk. Bunk is beautiful. Which was a huge revelation to me, I don't know why. And then finally, Astrid Starburn awoke in her beautiful penthouse room at the Starburn hotel, which her father owns, to find a VIP wristband for the festival from her daddy, where she went and immediately won the friendship of Turbine and Brenda Lisbeth with her confidence and the little prizes of a stuffed animal horse and a banana.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I really love the idea that she won the friendship with her confidence. Yeah. She did kind of power through it. I guess we're friends now. You seem really sure that we were. I think it's like that sort of situation where one kid just has more of a will to make something happen. And the other kids are just there.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Yeah. And then after that, proceeded to generally enjoy the other offerings of the festival, like the Axtos, and then the much anticipated horse show itself. As this uneasy friendship formed, the peaceful vibe of Aberdeen was shattered by the other worldly horn blowing from none other than the long dormant nearby Avalis. A voice revealing itself to be Barnabas Glenfinn issued a call for applicants to work at the Obelisk, signups were held in the form of a challenge. Retrieve a quill from the floating drones and sign up. With the combination of skills including playing a piano,
Starting point is 00:06:17 brute strength, and immediately noticing one of the drones in a horse's mouth. I remember playing Piano. Piano is being right. Yeah, Brenda, you know how to play the piano right? Brindalism, excuse me. The trio found themselves on the sign-up sheet. Along with nine other lucky townsfolk and proceeded to enter the obelisk where they were greeted by none other than Barnabas Glenfin
Starting point is 00:06:41 in the flesh and also a little bit of metal. So that brings us where we are today. Have we rested or we still down our slots and stuff from last time? I wasn't anticipating y'all taking a rest, but you're not like her. Yeah, right? You just had, you just use up some slots. I mean, Brenda did take a ton, I mean sorry, Brenda Elizabeth did take a ton of damage. You got kind of kicked in the face by a couple of horses, right?
Starting point is 00:07:08 Yeah. So after you signed up, you are re-agreeded by Barnabas Glenfin. He is this like almost like Inspector Gadget looking elf. He's got kind of a metallic looking beard, metallic points on the ends of his ears. And like kind of words and stuff. Like you can tell that there's like gadgets hidden within his suit. He's like kind of like a little awkward for lack of a better word. He looks a little uncomfortable on his own skin. Brenda Elizabeth being someone who is also the same way does not clock this.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Brenda Elizabeth being someone who is also the same way does not clock this We see really comfortable with himself a really adorable guy Astrid has found 18 different ways to bully this person or His eyes dart at Astrid as he knows that this is maybe coming You and the rest of the applicants follow Barnabas onto the obelisk itself and you enter Turbine once again screams a high pitch squeal that everyone around him just kind of immediately cringes for my My goofy bang sort of catch the wind of that scream. Echoes of vibrations. Looking around everywhere. Your bangs have somehow less weight than normal hair. It's so light. It's just so frail. Really damaged hair. Am I on the horse still? Yeah, you're leading the horse I would say. Gelfas, the horse.
Starting point is 00:08:51 Well, yeah, you, the other contestants, Gelfas and Barnabas all step into a large copper atrium, shape like a massive teardrop, light bulb. And in the center, up in the top of the dome, is a bizarre warbling chandelier spinning in the air. The chandelier consists of floating metallic orbs, a copper one, a silver one, an iron et cetera, and they're all held together by some kind of powerful electromagnetic force that spins it on an axis like a neutron. You notice, as you come in, like your footsteps aren't really making much noise for the metal that you're walking on
Starting point is 00:09:27 It's like should be clanging, but it's somehow dulled. Can I listen to gal faces clumping feet? Yeah, so you're looking out for his feet clumping. Yeah, I just want to know obviously it could be a lot. It's like It's quite really muffled The hoves are buffled It's like, it's quite really muffled. The hooves are baffled. It's got horseshoes on and everything. I like kind of get down on all fours and just start like banging on the floor to see what it does.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yep, I said there's some, this alloy actually stops the traveling of sound waves. Metal often is much louder than this, so you don't have to bang out at that heart. I'm banging sleeper harder. I smash it with my hammer. Okay, please. It can, it can take it, but maybe we shouldn't.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I start playing my concertina into the floor. I prance around doing my horse gallop to see if I can make a gallop noise. Okay, so I think we've proven our point. Everyone, everyone try banging on the floor. Everyone, now if we all jump in perfect unison, we can make a sound. Raider is just punching the ground.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Fuck, I can't hear it. I try to convince everyone to stomp at the same time. That's a stupid idea. I have a good convince everyone to stomp at the same time. That's a stupid idea. I have a good idea. Everybody stomp at the same time. Good one, Astrid. Whoa, good idea. Yeah, the one human there is like,
Starting point is 00:10:55 whoa, that's actually a pretty sick idea. And it was like kind of hops with the sandals. And it's just kind of like, blah blah. It's just jealous hell. Yeah, yeah. Like everyone else is like a half lane, a dwarf, or a gnome. And there's just this dress is jealous, huh? Yeah, yeah, like everyone else is like a half lane adorf or a gnome.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And there's just this one like kind of bohemian van life looking dude there with a soul patch. We're just kind of sketching everything you see. It's like, wow, pretty cool. As you continue to walk in these little warring drones that you caught earlier are flying around like bees, all carrying like benches and sprockets to different they all look really busy but it's kind of unclear what they're doing they kind of smash into each other in the air but
Starting point is 00:11:31 keep going endlessly doing whatever task they have you hear this like kind of clockwork sounding machine before you see it and a brain and a jar with arms and legs. Kind of looks like maybe like Mr. Mime or proportions wise, like Mr. Mime or like that. A little like bladed hand thing from Thor Ragnarok. Like just like runs up. We'll have you be in the grandpa with the grandpa grandma. Yeah, you'd be completely lost on this.
Starting point is 00:12:02 I lost so cool. You see just like a little guy with a, like a tray of coffee. He's in a tray of waters, like just like roll up with like bubbles coming out of his little brain jar and like little like steam coming out of his butt and he's like coffee water. Can I leave it into this little guy and say, I'm really sorry, my friend, but we've all been offered a position here. You might be losing a job. I'd like to buy the robot.
Starting point is 00:12:28 And just the water is fine with me. Well, this is a hands you a coffee. It's okay. I don't want to be rude. I drink it a few times. Wow. It kind of regards you, Astrid, and then it looks back at you, um, Brenda Elizabeth. I bred Elizabeth, Brenda Elizabeth. Hi, Brenda Elizabeth.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Brenda Elizabeth for short. It has no facial features to speak up because it is just a brain, but a bunch of bubbles come out and it looks up at Barnabas and looks back. I just wanted to give you a heads up. You might be looking for a new job, but I know that that could take time. It nods. My grandma's and grandpa's have really been through it with the job process. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Uh, it... The... You can tell the brain in a jar is wondering how many grandparents you might have. Something about the wrinkles in its forehead might be suggesting that. And then it scurries off. Six grandpa's four grandmas. Barnabas says, well, I that's this is kind of the problem. That's bubbles my current assistant He's been here probably as long as I have you know, he doesn't okay job
Starting point is 00:13:32 But I think his faculties are a little limited. I mean, we're hoping to generally have more help You see bubbles actually run back and like whisper something to him like it has like a little voice box on its neck that it is able to communicate with like very in a very limited way and Barnabas regards it and is like, oh okay, I'll be right back, feel free to explore the space and we'll get the first step of the interview slash tour process going. So they continue on but leave you in this cool atrium. Is there anything small in pocket size? I feel like I would just immediately be like grabbing like souvenirs, you know, like,
Starting point is 00:14:10 oh cool. I get it. It's like any little screws, any bits of anything. It was just be like, oh, shove it in my pockets. There's like some of these little like helper drones have smashed into each other. I'm like, there's like a sprocket or two on the grass. Oh, hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:24 But beyond that, it's like mostly kind of sparse. It's like it's akin to like a fancy hotel lobby where there's sort of a front sign in area. There's some seating area to the side that looks maybe like you're waiting for someone to come down from their hotel room or something. And then like a little canteen. Oh that's interesting. Brenda Elizabeth looks out at her rainbow gel quill.
Starting point is 00:14:50 And she wonders if in a place that's so metallic, if she might be able to find a metallic gel quill. I guess you can make a perception check. It doesn't initially look like that. There's anything specifically in this room. That's like that, but you know, there's a lot of possibilities here. The chandelier with the weird bobbles and stuff. Can you tell me again was it look like what's the deal with the chandelier? There's nothing so obvious to gleam other than that it's
Starting point is 00:15:14 like a futuristic-looking technology. You do notice that each orb that's floating around is a different type of metal seemingly. But beyond that. I did get a 23 on my perception check for a metallic gel quill, but I willing to use that for a general information if you would prefer. Yeah, yeah. Well, you're, in a general sense,
Starting point is 00:15:41 you're looking around. Also, I forgot to mention on one end, there is a series of portraits, and a large ball that has a hand and a paintbrush and little like a palette. Currently painting. Currently painting a new portrait, but there are like six or seven other portraits
Starting point is 00:16:01 to the side of it. I of course stand in front of the drawing, magical drawing hands and have it draw the side of it. I, of course, stand in front of the drawing, magical drawing hands and have it draw a portrait for me. I'm very used to standing for my portrait. I can stand very tough. It just sort of, is she holding her breath to make a state bit or just a bit? Or?
Starting point is 00:16:19 It does kind of start drawing you into the portrait. What are the portraits of? The portrait is of a wise looking elf that has a kind of golden crown built into its head. It's just posing for the portrait itself and below it it says Barnabas the golden. To the right of that is Barnabas the Silver and it's a similar thing with like a kind of built-in silver monocle. Then there's Barnabas the iron and it has like a metal, you know, iron jaw. But it's a series of Barnabas, Barnabai, if you will. Do they share features? Do they look exactly alike? Do they look related? Do they look mutated, but from the same genetic material?
Starting point is 00:17:08 They don't look mutated. They do look related though. Like it's not like overly, like it doesn't like twins or whatever going on. It's like, you know, as it goes on, they kind of look less and less related. Interesting. So like the first and last one,
Starting point is 00:17:23 you know, the most recent one that he's painting right now that now has a bit of asterisk in it, does not look like the first guy. In fact, it looks pretty different. Are there any family pets of these portraits? There are little tiny robots throughout them, but I kind of a sad lack of animals you discover. I touch galfas with a quiver at hand, pondering such a lovely life. I also touch galfas just because it seems like right for the moment. So you're, you know, again, you're a gnome, so you're kind of touching like the like ankle tendon on this horse.
Starting point is 00:18:01 It's really. I'm a halfling, so I'm right down there with you. So you're just kind of touching its knee. Yeah. This is a full-size palamino horse. I guess like you do notice that in one portrait like the last two there's Barnabas the copper and then there's not like a label on the most recent one that he's painting is a red-headed elf that has a little brunette, child elf on its knee that's just sort of like making itself part of the portrait. And there's a little gnome in the background
Starting point is 00:18:35 that's got a blast full of soot in its face with just white teeth. I love the idea of photobombing a portrait. Yeah, it's for days. They have to sit for days. It's like, ha ha ha. photo bombing a portrait. They have to sit for days. But like the most recent one that is being worked on right now is unfinished. I mean, you only see what you presume is the Barnabas that greeted you and now just a piece of
Starting point is 00:18:59 asteroid in the photo as well. But yeah, if you want to explore anything else. Yeah, I want to I want to explore this canteen area. See what snacks we can get. I'm gonna do an investigation. Yeah. I'm not the smartest. I got an eight. I mean, I have a 23 perception check for a metallic gel quill. So you could use that probably. Yeah, Brenda, can you get me some snacks? Okay, I use my perception check in service of Astrid. So, okay, so we're milking this perception check. We wander over to the canteen where it's almost like,
Starting point is 00:19:39 you know, and like a old Super Nintendo Zelda game, there's like a little counter with three things on it. Yeah. It's that. And like, there's this robotic upper half of a kind of bartender-like guy, kind of old-timey bartender, but you know, like animatronic, like it's like something at Disneyland, like washing the same spot on the bar
Starting point is 00:20:00 over and over again with a rag. It's like, what do you do for? So sorry, but we are currently probably going to get your job. I just am trying to warn everyone that you should probably start looking down, but it's going to be considered as applicants to work here. It's a big thing where humans, where biological life forms are taking robot jobs.
Starting point is 00:20:24 It's really a thing that not a lot of people are talking about right? Yeah. I mean, obviously he needs to be replaced. He's watching the same point in the bar over and over again. Yeah, that one point is really clean, but what about the rest of the bar? It's just a halt. It's polished.
Starting point is 00:20:41 It's polished to perfection this one little spot. The rest is a bad. You can tell he's imagining this black mirror episode that you described as a dishaughting little forward. Do you sorry to ask you to ask a favor us, the people taking your job, but do you have any snacks? What snacks are available? I've got a hungry Fred. The offerings we have on, and you see him point back, he has like preloaded phrases, it feels a little like,
Starting point is 00:21:11 he points to like a red potion looking thing and then like a slightly larger red potion. And then these like metallic boots that, they look like they have like magnets on the bottom. So no key lime pie. These are our offerings. I can see why they would have replaced this guy. Yeah. I'm just saying if I was there, I'd be moving up a key lime pie.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Raiders like, give us key lime pie. You asshole. Key lime pie idiot. Do you not know what I'm talking about? Can you tell me about these offerings? What do the potions do and what do the boots do? This is a minor healing potion, a regular healing potion. And did I say these were called? I didn't have a name for them. So these are little magnet boots.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Little magnet boots. Okay. I'm assuming in a metallic place like this, you could use that to climb the walls, stick to the ceiling, skirt that chandelier up there. Mostly not. How small are they? I have remarkably dainty little feet.
Starting point is 00:22:16 And how magnetic are they? He realizes you're asking like his, his, uh, Siri like brain realizes you're asking about the little magnet boots and says, the little magnet boots give you advantage on Dex saves while in the obelisk and also once per day you can cast levitation Oh, I mean who needs to levitate when you've got a horse, right? I look around for the entire canteen Gofess is like kind of far away from you at this point Those boots look pretty good, but I'm not very rich
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh, are they do we have to buy them with money? Yes, these are available for purchase. Yes, I'll buy them. I spent all my money on Think and bog to get into the the festival. Is there any one pair of boots? He nods. Well, I'll buy all of the things and you haven't I gave her the horse thing and you haven't had one yet So you have the you have the boots. I'm already pretty dexterous Like I don't know if we need to we need to make me crazy dexterous if you want to find I'll take them you're you're so rich you deserve those boots. You know you're right I am so I am so rich and I deserve to be so rich and to have these boots
Starting point is 00:23:30 But I'll get one of those one of those potions those code red healing potions. I Believe I have zero money. It would not make any sense for bread. Oh, it's about to have any money So she spiles and stands alongside everyone. As you all ask for certain things, the bartender, canteen operator just says, great, that will be seven credits. I give them what are some of the gears that I picked up? Yeah, do we have credits? A credits what we pay for in the outside world, or are they obelisk, special obelisk money? It seems like maybe unique to the obelisk. I slam my feet down in frustration.
Starting point is 00:24:11 What's the exchange rate? I demand that the bureau do exchange. Where is it? It just kind of looks at you like unthinking. It doesn't really have much to say, but as you... This bartender. As you slam your feet down, Barnabas comes back through
Starting point is 00:24:27 like a circular door that appears in the wall. He sees you stomping. He's like, can you, are people just still stomping? Are we still trying to make noise? So we got some other stuff done, but we've returned to stomping. Okay, I just want to welcome everyone to the facilitator. Each of you has proven that you're highly motivated and ready to put in the work at this demanding and rewarding job. I'm honestly impressed by the work each of you did here. And Astrid, I'm still thinking about how you scared up
Starting point is 00:24:57 that mob that was wild. I'm taking work for work notes. Like the kind of like really unhelpful notes when you're like first in college, you don't know how to take notes. It's just like trying to capture every single word in nuance. I'm doing child-ish notes which are you take one word and then doodle the hell out of it. So I just write facilitator and like hover it with doodles and vines. I'm just assuming that these guys are taking notes and I'm good.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Yeah, they're definitely taking notes for you with something a little better than the other. Yes, I'm a tape. Barnabas looks at you taking notes, and he's like, ah, you kind of remind me of somebody I used to know and points to that portrait with the little, like, numb with, like, to covering its face.
Starting point is 00:25:41 What was his name? Who's he? I, uh, we don't have to get into specifics about this guy right now. You're gonna tell me I remind you of someone of them telling nothing about them. I'm good. Hey, I got a I got a hop on turbine. What am I supposed to take with that? I can't hold that on this one. That's supposed to mean something to me, the portrait. and that's just a that was a unknown name tradix used to work here he you know had the same sort of enthusiasm it seems like you have a
Starting point is 00:26:18 and I just think you build a great obelisk here mister uh... mister barnabas oh thank you i mean i didn't build it uh... I've just, currently, the chief of operations here. And I like it a lot. And I've come to learn how to operate it. I just, I think it's time for me to admit that I need a little help from someone with maybe an outside perspective. I have an outsider. Yeah, OK. That's kind of why you all are perspective. I have an outsider. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:26:46 That's kind of why you all are here. You're all outsiders. So we're ready to start. We're ready to start whenever, you know. Okay, yeah. I mean, we're actually going to start. So the way this is going to work. The way this is going to work.
Starting point is 00:26:58 I'm still writing facilitator. It's like the beginning of like a medieval manuscript. The first letters all illuminated. But all the, all the, all the O's have like hearts in them. There's like a dolphin leaping from the F to the R. So you didn't write anything else I said down. you just wrote down facility. I'm gonna work on Draccess next because that's a pretty cool thing. Okay it's traddicts I think. It's too late I'm gonna drag it. Okay whatever. It doesn't matter. His bonnet is how did you become facilitator? Well I'm the cheap operator this is the facility. What he's taking the notes. Seems like you're not listening. He's taking the notes. I'm taking the notes. You don't need to correct her. I'm taking the notes seems like you're not listening. He's taking the notes. I'm taking the notes
Starting point is 00:27:47 You don't need to correct her. I'm taking the note You know, I had to take over for the Barnipus before me and you know, it's been my lifelong dream to run this facility So this is kind of a big deal for me and has been well has been for the last 50 years. I've done it but you know, I think it's time to add to the roster. So, to make things simpler for me, I'm just going to give you up to groups of three and we'll see how well you work in a team environment. I'm playing this a little fast and loose, so you're going to have to roll with me on this one. The teams with the most points at the end of the tour will get the one-on-one interviews, and from there, I'm going to make my choice. Bart, Abyss, back. Quickly ask you what you're any hint of what you're looking for
Starting point is 00:28:26 that Apple Kit. That's a really good question. So we're looking for people who have the ability to quickly problem solve and handle situations as they arise, sort of improvise as they come. People who can creatively problem solve. People who have vision for what the future of the facilitator can look like. I have visions.
Starting point is 00:28:50 You have visions? Well, that's going to be great. And, you know, I've handed my resume. I handed my business card. Have you noticed that only you three are talking? Yes, because we go get us in problem solvers, sir. Okay, well yeah, I think that's a good point. I actually need, you know, maybe I need to be pressing that way. I started running a bang on the floor again.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Raiders like, Guy shut off, he's talking. I smack raider. He slapped him, he's like, ow, fuck. That probably raged up a little bit. The human is named Mop. He's like, can we just keep talking or is it just like, what's exactly the only thing? It's a good thing for all.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Yeah, Bob, if you could talk if you want, actually, I start doodling Mop. I'm realizing a big part of a problem that I have when I interact with them, living beings for the most part is that they don't expect, you know, respect my authority in any way and just kind of stop all over me. So I'm gonna do my best to power forward. And as he says, those little drones fly in, put little bracelets on each of you. You all have yellow bracelets, there's another team that's red, blue, green, and so those are like
Starting point is 00:30:02 the four different groups. Cool. You see that radar, beacon bunker one group? No, the like, axtrowing guy is with two other dwarves and then the human is with two halflings that you don't really know. I am absolutely obviously looking at the other groups to see if I can like be in the best group. Like, I'm really judging everybody. I'm willing to drop these guys immediately
Starting point is 00:30:28 to make sure that I'm in the best group. But for now it seems like it's good. We'll see you once we have. Barnabas for no reason at all. It says, so these groups are permanent. And these really should be the way that these groups will be. That's good because once I make a commitment,
Starting point is 00:30:40 I never turn my back on it. I've steadfasted loyal. Best friends forever. I just dream my back on it. I'm steadfast in loyal. Best friends forever. I just draped my arms over. Wow, that's really nice. That's a great enthusiasm. Do you want to point out one thing? He looks at Gelfast, the horse.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Yeah, you're free to point at Gelfast. I'm allowed to point at the horse. Yeah, you said you do want to point at what thing? Okay, well, um great. That's awesome. You got your point in um great. So as he points at Galfast everyone make a Dexterity saving throw B8 Whoo-hoo Ooh, dirty 20. Ooh, a dirty 20 as well.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Ha, g-a-gulf is kind of slips, but it's okay. But you notice that if anyone got under a 10, you just kind of fell over, as it felt like the room kind of shifted in some way. It shifts in a way that reveals a new door. As you see this door, Barnabas points at Gelfus and is like, sorry, as we go on this tour, unfortunately, I have to,
Starting point is 00:31:55 any points at this sign that says, not design with equine hines in mine. And so, you're unfortunately, it'll be safe in here and bubbles the little brain with like arms and legs just runs up with a big pile of hay and throws it on the ground and run it galf us. Brenda Elizabeth, Dodds, no English, she do this was coming, but she still, you know, she knows that galfas is their own, they're not hers. So she goes over and she's, you know, gives Galfas good pet. She says, you've been faithful. But can you be patient? It just looks like a action figure of a horse, just so still. Like, it's not even perturbed at all.
Starting point is 00:32:41 It's just like, at this point, I think your ability to speak with your confesses faded. Please don't give me that face. OK, I can't bring you in. You had enough horses in here that you had a sign. You printed a sign specifically for no horses in here. It's a really old sign. It's been here for a really long time.
Starting point is 00:33:04 It's also someone who's a really old sign. It's been here for a really long time. It's also asked someone who's a pretty modest person It's a little rude to talk about equine hines. I I don't I mean this galf has mine Yeah, the proper time is Equine pedunca dunk Equine pedunca dunk. Okay. Well, um, that's what they prefer. Well, thank you for taking care of Galfas. I appreciate it. And you know what Galfas?
Starting point is 00:33:29 If you, if the world beckons you and you decide to leave, that is your decision. It's like eating one piece of hay. That's like, just chewing on it. Galfas, don't give me that drama. Galfas shits on the ground. It's such a noble beast. You've chose well.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Bubbles runs up with a little pan and like, scoops it up. Runs away really fast, like clapping around. Well, Bartabus, I think we dodged it, Bullet, but being in Galfast came to an agreement. I, uh, I, I surrender the beast. Okay. Um, well well that's good. And you know, it's just, I put a hand on it again. The beast will be here when you are done with the tour.
Starting point is 00:34:14 I think it's just safer generally, because there's weird stairs and other things that a horse could turn an ankle on. Anyways, we've covered this. I'm not sure what else I have to personally say about it. I have a few words I'd like to say. You know, anyways, I'm gonna move on. Barnabas like walks up to this new door that has appeared. It's also kind of like tear drop shape. And he's like, it looks a little nervous. And he's like, okay, so there's been many projects
Starting point is 00:34:47 that the Barnabai, there's the mini projects that the Barnabai, the Plural for Barnabas, have worked down before me. I doodle the word Barnabai for the rest of the day. Yeah, you can write that down, sure. That they've all been working on in different facets. And this is actually my pet project, kind of nervous to show it to someone before, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:09 I'm kind of maybe a little more whimsical than the previous, the previous barnaby. And I open up one of my doodles and I say, I think I know whimsie. It's a golden retriever who's birthday it is. Wow, that's really good. Can you, later on, can we talk about that? That's a really good idea.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Yeah. So yeah, in general, I have fun stuff. And so this is my mind. Me too. Wow. We have a lot in common. Everyone's like, yeah, I like fun stuff. I like fun stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Yeah, wow. Mom, way in, like, yeah, I like fun stuff. I like fun stuff. I like fun stuff. Yeah, wow. Mom, way in, huh? Yeah, I just said it. Fun stuff is pretty awesome. So it's like, this is actually my first pet project. It's the factory room floor where I make toys. So, you know, I think you'll find it pretty win-b-ical. And he opens the door. As he opens the door, you're immediately confronted by just hot air.
Starting point is 00:36:07 It just like hits you in the face. I run out. There's like a cacophony of loud banging noises. Can I do an athletics check to make sure that I'm the first one in? I try to push Astrid to get in front of her. Yeah, I do an opposed athletics check. I got a 12. I stand in the back and let the hot,
Starting point is 00:36:27 stale air wash wash be- I got a seven. Yeah. Yeah, this air's gross. It smells like burnt hair. It's like, you also hear this just tremendous clashing and banging. And as you all walk in, yeah,
Starting point is 00:36:41 after you're able to get there, but no one else is competing in the same way that you were competing. I win, yes. Turbine fell down for some reason. Oh, no. You go enter there and Barnabas looks around and he's like, OK, this is maybe not good.
Starting point is 00:36:58 It's maybe not supposed to be that bad. But things are going to happen like this. So we're going to see who can, I don't know, solve this as quickly as you can. And as he says that, you look out from sort of like a higher up level of a factory floor. There's like a guide rail and you're looking down to four big, basically separated tunnels. And each one has conveyor belts with machines on them that are basically assembly lines constructing toy soldiers except for the fact that they are going haywire. They're smoking, there's electricity and fire and just like big hammering noises as whatever is going on here is
Starting point is 00:37:39 going wrong. This is whimsy. I didn't realize that making toys was so barbaric. I no longer regret never having the body for them as a child. I suppose my grandparents saved me from some sort of disgusting process. Toys are excellent. This is not what toys are supposed to be. Yeah, you are actually pretty right. This isn't supposed to be like this. Yeah, make an insight check if you want. I have a minus one to insight.
Starting point is 00:38:05 And I rolled a four. Boy, am I rolling poorly. I have a 14 on insight. I got a 16 on insight. Cool. So Astrid, this is how toys are made. This is normal. I was kidding.
Starting point is 00:38:19 This is how toys are made. I just wanted to test you to see if you need me. Big industrial factory. Why wouldn't you? But for turbine and Brindelizbit, yeah, I mean, this is, I think with an insight, I'll even give you this. Like what you've immediately noticed that like, everything in this place is about so futuristic.
Starting point is 00:38:37 This area feels like maybe one day turbine would be able to do this. Like it's like of that level of engineering versus what you would expect to see in this place. Like it's a bunch of like kind of clockwork eagling things. It doesn't look futuristic in the same way other stuff looks.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Turbine, do you think that the Bartabus, I say this very quietly, do you think that the Bartabus, the current elected Bartabus, is not as good at technology as the previous Barnabai? I mean, this looks like shit. Right? It kind of sucks.
Starting point is 00:39:13 I mean, this looks like shit, right? It looks like junk. I mean, I don't know what you guys talking about. What do you, I, I, this, I think it looks very good. I think you're very good at things. Oh, wow. Thank you, Astrid. I don't know what you guys talking about. What do you, I, this, I think it looks very good. I think you're very good at things. Oh, wow. Thank you, Astrid. I don't know what they were talking about.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Were they agreeing with you? I think it looks really good. Oh, okay. I guess, I guess just the thing is, you promised us whimsy. And you said this would be really whimsical, and this is kind of like sort of industrial kind of. Yeah, in fact, this looks rather dangerous. that this would be really whimsical and this is kind of like sort of industrial kind of.
Starting point is 00:39:45 In fact, this looks rather dangerous. And Brenda Elizabeth is going to take her very, very long thin hair and tuck it into the elastic waistband of her stir-up pants. That is not a bad idea. This episode of NADPOT has brought to you five bird dogs. They're a company that makes pants and shorts, so no matter where you fall and the age old battle between the two, you can rest assured that Bird Dogs has you covered. Now we all know when the legwear war begins and we're forced to choose a side, it's
Starting point is 00:40:17 gonna be difficult. Luckily Bird Dogs has made the decision of which pants and shorts to buy a little easier. Bird Dogs stretchy khakis are designed to fit slimmer through the thigh and leg to give you a truly sculpted look. And instead of making their clothes out of restricting cotton, bird dogs invented a cloud-knit fabric that looks just like khaki, but stretches so you get a way slimmer fit without having to sacrifice movement. And trust me, you are going to need all the movement you can get when you and your brothers and legs are out there on the battlefield kicking the shit out of
Starting point is 00:40:47 your rivals. So when the lower body battle begins and brother is forced to kick brother, make sure you are wearing bird dogs. To get yours and a free Yeti-style tumbler, go to birddogs.com slash papa or enter promo code papa at checkout. That's BirdDogs.com slash Papa or promo code Papa for a free Yeti-style Tumblr. You won't want to take your bird dogs off, we promise you. Okay, that's it for me, go team pants, and enjoy the show. I just would hate to get it. What are these toys?
Starting point is 00:41:22 Can I... may I please have a toy? Well, these are unfinished and honestly, I think some of your concerns are correct. This is not going right. We actually probably should shut this down. So this will be your first task, I guess. You see that there's like four different major aisles and they're all completely separated.
Starting point is 00:41:42 It feels like each team will take a different path. And he's like, well, you know, how about this? The first team to get in will get four points, three points for the second team and so far. It's like Mario Kart rules. As you look at the paths, I'll just tell you how mechanically how this will work. You see in front of you three distinct paths forward. So from fastest to slow, as you see a factory assembly line
Starting point is 00:42:04 conveyor belt moving away from you towards your goal. The only problem with that is that the machines on it are completely haywire, just slaming together a little toy soldier, but like completely shattering it and melting it and electrocuting it as they put it together. This path will give you a free dash action. Second, there's the walking path next to that conveyor belt in machine.
Starting point is 00:42:27 There's no movement penalties or bonuses here, but it's still close to the fucked up machine, so it still seems a little dangerous. And then last, the slowest route is to factoring conveyor belt moving towards you. It's not broken at all, but since it's moving the opposite way, you want it to act like difficult terrain. Like trying to run up a down escalator.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Yeah. Or a moving sidewalk going the other way. Right. If you've been in an airport, sure. Sure. A while once or twice. Yeah, yeah. No, I only use horses.
Starting point is 00:42:57 We've opened an escalator. Plains are horses of the sky. Sometimes I wish I could take a moving sidewalk all the way to my destination. Yeah. After these three options, the factory floor dead ends in the middle at a door where a slightly more advanced looking warforged robot seems to be going haywire. It's presumably blocking you from the back half of the factory floor that looks similar to this. You see that its eye sockets are glowing red and the wiring underneath. Its metallic surface glows red as well, almost like sinister looking veins. Yeah, red glowing. That's evil for sure. Yeah. A yoke robot. It's not a good sign when things are glowing red.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Traditionally speaking. Does he see best though, he's gone rogue? Yeah, some things gone rogue here. What you see in the first aisle is the assistant foreman. I don't think you can see past that first gate, but he's like kind of looking around just like holding a clipboard that he's breaking in half and then picking up another clipboard and breaking in half. And something happened where this thing has created
Starting point is 00:44:07 this mayhem somehow. OK. How long is our aisle? Each section is about 60 feet. If it's a race, maybe I'll cast Long Striider on myself up my speed here. I think all of you, yeah, yeah, let's do it right now. Everyone roll initiative.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Yeah. Great. You kind of can't see what the other, like you see Raider and Banking Box kind of get ready And you see the other people trying to like get ready for their tunnel. They have to go through It seems like the same bullshit over there. Sure. Yeah I rule a seven I rolled a four but I have a four so I haven't eight. I rolled a four, but I have a four, so I haven't eight. I got a dashi 20. Cool.
Starting point is 00:44:49 There she is. Turban, I think you got the long strider in before he started, but yeah, Barnabas is like, all right, on the count of three, go. Astrid, you are first up in the initiative. Yes, that's my way, Pussins. Okay. God, you guys are so hard to bully. You're all over.
Starting point is 00:45:13 It's no fun. You used to go really well with everything that I say. Great idea. I'm sorry. This is very uneasy friendship. I think that Astrid cares not for safety. I think she's absolutely going to go down the fastest path. Cool. So Astrid roll D4 as you run across this path.
Starting point is 00:45:39 And I'm sorry, does a long straighter, did you put it on everyone or adjust yourself? How's that work? Just myself unless someone feels that they need the speed that I can cast at a higher level. I have got Misty Step. My speed is only 25, so I would take long strider. I mean, I want to turn it down, because I'm planning on using Misty Step and running.
Starting point is 00:45:58 I can choose to cast it at a second level, and then I can target one other person in addition to myself. So I can... I do that extra step. You've already used quite a lot of spells there. I've used one of my second level spell slots. Let's just save it. I'm fine. I don't need it. I rolled a full one. So as you are starting to run on this path,
Starting point is 00:46:18 Epistons slams a hammer down on a sheet of metal, next to you, and then slams on you. Who calls it? Make a strength saving thing. I go into a rage. a hammer down on a sheet of metal next to you and then slams on you. Who got it? Make a strength saving. I go into a rage. Yeah, you could have, I also, you could be in a rage before the started. Great, so that gives me advantage on strength saves.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Oh, and I rolled a nat 20. Okay. I guess I'm gonna say on a nat 20 you don't take any damage on that. I think that's fair. I think that should be the role for everyone. Now, role another D4. One. Okay. Yeah. One is also, one is a pass. Yes. You miss all the things. Now, role another D4. Two. Okay, Tesla coil comes out to the left of you and tries to shock this battery with electricity, make a con save. Okay. Ah, so close to a 19, a 12. That is actually a pass, but you will still take, ooh, nine have to four damage, so you take four light great wait, sorry your speed is only 25. Yeah
Starting point is 00:47:27 Okay, so you're near the end of it. You have ten feet left of the the platform you look forward and you see this like Warforged form and just kind of like bobbing its head like around and circles like just it's it's fully haywire It looks at you, sees you coming out of that and says, Hey, you don't work here. I'm an applicant, sir. This is part of my interview. So are you coming to take my job? No, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:48:00 That your job is not a job that I want. It's always a jablin' egg. Okay, it does a 21 hit. Yeah, absolutely a 21 hit. Okay, it'll hit you for seven piercing damage. Have to four or three. What is that? Hound to three.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Hound to three. So you take three damage from a jablin' that this robot throws at you. Great. Can I do a second dash to get to the end? Yeah, you can dash again and close the distance to the robot. Or you have to get off the conveyor belt. Yeah. Okay, I'll do that. So you exit the conveyor belt and you face off against this
Starting point is 00:48:39 foreman bot. Next up is Brenda Elizabeth. Okay. Brenda Elizabeth is going to... She's gonna follow Astrid and she's gonna take that free dash. So that's gonna be 30 feet, right? Yes. And then she's going to... Oh, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:49:02 If you entered the conveyor belt, you would have to roll a D4. Oh once you're on that platform. What's your on that platform? Okay real quick does everyone think that there's value to us trying different ones or should we adjust or should we all go down the same? I think it's like yeah based on your on like what you think you can get away with and what risk you're willing to take. Okay, I think I'm just going to follow my swell B together. Two. Two. Okay. Two, another Tesla coil comes out to the side of you and tries to shock a battery
Starting point is 00:49:39 that's not there instead you or the battery. Roll a cons aiming throw. Okay, look plus three. I rolled a three, six. Okay, you, Derby, and you look forward, and you see Brenda Elizabeth run under the platform immediately, get electric-coded so hard, you see your skeleton?
Starting point is 00:49:59 Oh, yeah! Take eight points of damage from that. Okay. Oh, okay. Oh, it's, you've only got 30 feet onto the platform. I'll say you won't, like, are you planning to use something else at this point? Yeah. Mechanically, if you were just to run across the whole thing, you'd have to make three of these saves.
Starting point is 00:50:17 But if you're gonna, like, misty step off or something, I'll say, like, after this one, you can fly past. Yeah, yeah, so then my plan is to take the free dash, misty step, and then maybe misty step to the robot, and then use my movement to move even further down the next conveyor belt and then try and thorn whip the robot. Cool, so if you misty step, you'll be off the platform,
Starting point is 00:50:43 you're at the robot at this point. Yeah, and then if I used a free dash, wouldn't I still have my movement to them? Because like, I would be running, basically running away to then trying to thorn with them off. It's just that my movement is only 25 that I needed to take the extra dash at the end. Oh, mine is only 25 as well. Mine is only 25 as well. Oh, okay. You can misty step in the middle of the platform and keep that momentum.
Starting point is 00:51:07 And I think, I think Brenda was just rockets off the edge of it without, like, you get, for whatever reason, that momentum stays and you just shoot out the end of the platform. Now you're on like a little platform with that robot. You're, I mean, you're in a little section with a robot in a closed door. So you have to get this door open before you pursue any further. Oh okay.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Then, Ked, I try to open the door. Yeah, there's a button there, but you can make a perception or insight check. I just create, act 20. Yes. Okay. You feel like this robot's jammed the door. I think you have to kill the robot before you keep going. Okay. In that case, I use Bissi steps so I can always use a can trip, but he's not on a platform. So I was thinking like he was on a platform.
Starting point is 00:51:57 So I was gonna try and rip him off, but that he's not on a platform. No, it's just sort of like this is like the end of that area. There's not like free floating space on the ground. Okay, awesome. I will just create bonfire on him. So Brenda Lisbeth rockets off this turn style thing and just points at this robot soldier immediately. Yeah, what do you do? I think that my bangs are blowing around the wind. My hair is tucked into my, is tucked into my pants and I say, death is called for you. And then I'd like to try to light it on fire. Cool, so you light this robot foreman on fire
Starting point is 00:52:51 For how much it it's five damage, but if he makes a deck save you'll it takes half of that I'm gonna melt you into a metallic gel quill. You got a nat one You light this robot on fire his like white button down shirt that he's wearing flames up How much damage did he take? Did you survive? And now it is turbine stir. Cool. I guess I'll just go the same route everyone else has been going to try to keep up here.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I've got my long straighters, so my speed is now 35. Everyone's been going the fast way, so I guess I'll go the fast way too. That robot's not dead, right? It's just a little hurt. Yeah, it's just a little hurt It's still looking pretty sturdy. It's sure it is a little burned, but that's about it. Okay. It's shaken. It's definitely shaken Well, it's like it's not quitting time yet Do not take my job I'll think that I guess we'll start by taking that free dash on the conveyor belt.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Does that make sense? So I have to roll this D4. To just like run across this platform, you have to make three saving throws. So roll a D4. Can I ask really quickly? You don't have to tell me if it's like no, no, no, you don't get to know. But like the like middle path that you don't get the free dash, that's just, since I have over 30 speed now, I could just run in and dash and reach the end there,
Starting point is 00:54:11 right? Yeah, you wouldn't get an action though. Right. Yeah, because that would take your action. Right. Okay, and that still has, like, you would still have to make, I'll just tell you to, say, we got it. I'll stick with the fast.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Yeah, like, get that extra action. Alright, so I'm rolling the D4 three times. Yes. Tell me what you get each time. Here's the first one. A four, so a hammer slams down and smacking you. I make a strength saving throw. A, it's okay, I got electrocuted. Okay, I'll make a strength.
Starting point is 00:54:38 You're, Brinda Elizabeth's possibly thin hair and standing straight up. I was like one of those electricity balls like a whole like person It rips out of your pants that it was tucked into your I gotta get those strands back in there, but it's cool for now What'd you get sorry? 12 12. Okay, you get, sorry? 12. 12.
Starting point is 00:55:06 OK, you passed. OK. But you will take half still unfortunate. OK. Sorry. You take three damage from this. That's already half. Oh, and make two more defores.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Next defore, I'm rolling. That is shit. That's a two. Cool. Another Tesla coil pops out of the side. These Tesla coils have been getting you guys. And instead's a two. Cool. Another Tesla coil pops out of the side. These Tesla coils have been getting you guys. And instead of a battery. It's a good makeover.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Instead of a battery, it just hits you in the side. I guess you're way shorter. No, it just touches your scalp, electrocute, make a con saving throw. Con. That is an 18. 18, you pass. But you'll take half.
Starting point is 00:55:47 That's another three damage. All right, and now one final one. All right, here we go. Just like, sort of like just running out. Ow, ow. Ow. You look like a little toy soldier now. Like, yeah, if like a little battery attached your head like a little battery attached to your head.
Starting point is 00:56:08 That shit that's a four. Okay, another hammer smacks you and decides. What did you do to hammer's curbide the whole time after? You've helped me to look so easy. Have a time. You were like, you thought you were going to cool, but you just got hit by everything. Yeah, make it another saving throw to the yard. Guys, I know machines!
Starting point is 00:56:31 Ow! Ow! Alright, I rolled a 15. 15, you pass, but you're gonna take half. Wow, I rolled a 7, 3 times in a row, so you take another 3 damage. Alright, you've gotten 10 feet past the conveyor belt. You've closed distance with the fight happening in front of you. Cool.
Starting point is 00:56:48 So I'm like, I'm at with where the door and the robot are. Yeah, you've joined everyone else. Cool. You said the door's broken. It looks like this robot has jammed the door in some way. So you feel like maybe the answer is having to do with. We have to kill the robot. Brenda Elizabeth shouts to Turbide and she says,
Starting point is 00:57:08 hey, I actually already, I fucking crit out an event. I mean, I freaking crit out an investigation check and we gotta kill the robot if we want to open the door. Okay, I can't just cast Mending on the door and try to fix my way through. Yeah, you can have a feeling that won't work in this situation. Fair enough. Fair enough.
Starting point is 00:57:29 No, that's fair. You guys spin your turn trying that. Um, uh, cool. I'll go ahead then. I will, uh, I'll, I'll rapier this, this little, this robot here. Uh, turbine, you pull out a fucking, you know a fucking sword and attack a robot. Watch out for my arm! I have never cut it.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Cool, so I got a 17. A 17 hits. So roll damage, roll that damage. That damage is 6. Not nothing. It was only her 5 at this point. So it's still kind of sturdy, but it's taken a significant amount of damage. What do you do as you hit this robot with your sword?
Starting point is 00:58:09 Nettle on handle. It's like, yeah. It's like, I know how machines work. I just like start like wangling. Like just bangin' on this machine. It's like a finesse weapon, but it's still stuck. Now that's a noise. And then the robot's like a finesse weapon, but it still sounds like a noise. And then Robots like, ah fuck.
Starting point is 00:58:26 And then I was asked because that's a noise. I got fangs, Astrid. Like, give her a bardic inspiration. Thank you. Cool. So Astrid, it's your turn now, and you have bardic inspiration. I say very boldly. You will remember the name Astrid Starborn.
Starting point is 00:58:44 And I try to do it. Cool. With my war hammer. say very bold you will remember the name Astrid Starborn and I attack with my war hammer. My name is Foreman but remember my name. Oh should you see the dice. Oh yeah I'll do a reckless attack. Do you have reckless attacks or is that? I do have reckless attacks but I did not roll very well. What does it 12 hit? A 12 does not hit. Great. What? Is it a D6 for the bodic? It is a D6. Great.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Okay, that's a 6. So an 18. 18 hits. Great. And I'm doing this two handed. You have a war hammer, right? And a war hammer? So this, so it's. This like rich kid princess dwarf comes up and slams down. It's a
Starting point is 00:59:30 bejeweled warhammer. What is this? It's absolutely encrusted. And gems and I rolled a 14. Cool. 14 damage. Wow oh this guy's like really hurt I know machines and I can tell this machine is pretty hurt. It's like it's all jaws swinging off of it And it's like you fucking kids coming in here to take my job Not I'll you're not good at it. He's just like his jaws hanging off. He can't really respond It actually is his turn. You see that this robot throws the clipboard down and like Wolverines it's arms out and arm blades come out of it and it takes it's gonna take two attacks on Astrid Oh, and I attacked recklessly as well, so Oh shit, I forgot. Okay, he rolls with advantage, then.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Oh, that's a advantage, though. And that one and an eight, but he adds five. That is a 13, hey you? My AC is 17. Whoa, 17 AC. Okay, so the first one misses. And then a 19, so that will definitely hit. So you take eight damage and have, I guess.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Great, so full. So he swings wildly with like one of these arm blades misses, but spins around in kind of a cool way. It's like a little upsetting that he actually did something cool to you. And slashes you in the arm with this arm blade. And he's like, I will defend my employment to the end of this. And next up is Randall, isn't it?
Starting point is 01:01:12 You don't seem like you love your job, dude. I think, and he's looking kind of, he's looking pretty best up. Okay, Brenda Elizabeth is going to activate yet another starry form. Brenda Elizabeth is going to activate her posture form. Once again, whatever she does, any of these, she looks like. I can't get it in a Halloween costume.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Who's a little too old to be trick or treating, but put a lot of effort into her costume. So she takes out a beautiful form of an archer. It looks like, I mean, like the cover of a romance novel. And then she's going to use her bodice action to make her little arrow attack on him. Cool.
Starting point is 01:01:58 Yeah, Brinnellisbeth suddenly is wearing this beautiful costume. Is your hair still standing up? It's still fully forming this very...the strands are so thin that it's just like little little docks pointing making a halo around your head. Yeah somehow your Robinhood hat, the feather knit is standing on the top of it. Cool, make your attacks. Okay, does a 15 hit? 15 does not hit.
Starting point is 01:02:30 That is it then. That is all Brenda Elizabeth could do. Oh no! No! So that's Brenda Elizabeth became an archer. Mr. Shot unfortunately. It's okay because I get to stay this for the rest of it. Oh, sit. Turbine, because I get to stay this for the rest of it.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Oh, sick. Turbine, it is your turn. This thing's looking real fucked up. Really fucked up? Yeah. Okay. Then what I'm going to do is, it may not need it, but I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to cast true strike on this guy, which if he lives, then I'll have advantage on my attack
Starting point is 01:03:03 with a monster. It's really fucked up, you probably just just do something you could probably just hit him and Fala. Yeah, okay, let's just do that. I'll just fucking hit him then. Let's just hit him sick. Why is this attack him? All right, so So yeah, I keep I just keep weighing it. I tried to weigh on it with this with this rape your hair So I'm rolling that and that is a 21 which I assume that is for sure hits 21 hits cool So here that is that whoo whoo whoo whoo that is 11 damage turbine I think you you somehow pop up onto the head of this this robot formin It's just like digging the rapier into any gap
Starting point is 01:03:46 I can find and just wiggling it around. You somehow find purchase into the area of its neck where it's a bunch of wires and shit and just stab deep, oil shoots onto your face. You hear a crash on the electricity. The Foreman bot just crumbles to the ground. It is no more. And then as itumples to the ground, it is no more. And then as it crumples to the ground,
Starting point is 01:04:07 the door itself swings open and you see the next section. Cool. So you see the door open and you see the second and final section of this factory room floor. And as you open the door also, the machines behind you all just kind of slowly shudder to a stop. So you've stopped happening. We've freed so many toys from being made.
Starting point is 01:04:34 No toys on my watch. You're a barn of this on an intercom. Play the ad. Like the toys are fine. It's just there. No, no, no, no, no. You can find what you told us to do. And it was just like a toy. I think I know that's what's just the No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I could put into a boil and write with. Make a, make a luck check. It's gonna be at eight. Okay, so there's some like rusted flakes on the ground.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Brenda tender, Brenda was been tenderly scoops up the rusted flakes. Okay, great. I still have my movement, right? You just did one action. I'm moving to the next area. All right, before I do that, I'm gonna use a bonus action to give a bardic to Brenda Elizabeth.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Thank you, everybody. You cast the love around me. I mean, just like dripping oil and stuff, and just like, yeah, yeah, you're trying to keep up. I'm trying to look extra cool, but really looking just not cool at all. I look at Astro and say he's something else huh? Yeah turbine the oil is like kind of working your hair back a little bit. He's still having a stupid long helmet I forgot or the hat.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Like I've really told obeliskie hat. Yeah it's the big thick old hat. Cool that's a bonus action and then I'm going to go ahead and run into this next room. Great it's a very similar situation in this section you see the exact same thing with the different hats. Okay so we got a four minute again. You can't tell what it is but but you see a little bit of, make a perception check. There's a lot of smoke and worrying machines.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Like, it's like a bit of a mayhem disaster in here. I got a 19. So you look ahead of you through the mashing machines and stuff, you find a little hole where you can see, and you see this bronze figure, almost looks like a dwarf, except that it's bronze with a flaming head Got like just like kind of talking to itself like we should go on strike. This is all bullshit Are we squash a union
Starting point is 01:06:58 unionizes My father's great so far. So probably only anti-toys and anti-ugin. Yeah. Oh no, that's not what I mean. Someone was worried about their job and we beat him up and then we heard someone talking about a union. I'm going to take the reckless path again because I got hit a lot last time and I didn't get hurt a lot.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Cool. So I'm going to go ahead and since I do have that long strider, if I have that extra dash then I can make it all the way to the end in this in this section. So I'm gonna go ahead and do it. Oh yeah, I'll say that like there was like a little bit of a distance before you got onto the path. So I don't think you can go to the very end. Well 70. Okay, let's see. You have 70 movement with that dash. That's right. I guess you can make it all the way to the end. You will take these three D4 rolls. So make your D4 roll. I will. Here's the first one.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Blam, that's a three. Okay, I think that's our first time getting a three. A little bucket of molten metal just swings by and just squalls your- Collect it for my drill. Okay. So yeah, it spills like essentially lava on you. Make a deck save. Okay, my deck is actually all right.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Let's see how this goes. That is a 13. 13. That passes, but you will still take half. This is, oh, you've got three damage again. I roll the six This is this doesn't oh no, no, it doesn't matter. Okay three more damage. Yes. How you looking? I'm at 24 hit points. Okay cool Here's my next D4. I'm rolling it. That's a one. Okay. That's a pass. You didn't get nothing happens.
Starting point is 01:08:47 Hell yeah. And then here's my last D4 that I'm rolling. It's another molten metal. Yeah, yeah. You see a bucket swing by with molten metal. And then, oh, no, not again. But to your right. I try to like put my hands up.
Starting point is 01:09:03 Like it's going to get deep in. Yeah, you put your hands up and to your right. a little like furnace opens up and spits flames on you. Instead, looks just like the gnome in the portrait with like the blasted out of the white team. Get another deck saving throw. Okay, that is a 12. Okay, that passes, you will take four damage on this one, or all of that. Four damage, okay, I'm down to 20.
Starting point is 01:09:30 You exit the end of this conveyor belt and this bronze muscular dwarf and figure. You would assume it's a dwarf if it wasn't fully made of metal with a flaming head and a flaming hammer turns to look at you. It's just fucking ripped. It's a really upsetting image and he's like, hey, you've come to take our jobs. You guys are scabs coming in here. No, actually, I think I
Starting point is 01:10:00 should start a union. The clipboard guy in the other sections, he asked me to come get you and said that you should go take a look. Make a deception, Jack, I guess. I guess. I guess. Sure, that is a 12. Oh, he got a 13.
Starting point is 01:10:19 He was like, I know you're working for the man. I'm not a man. I know you're working for the man. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Three is a molten bucket hits you roll a oh For by Quill roll a Dexan check. Do you have you don't have dangerous sense yet? Do you or do you get that? Yes, I do so I have advantage on Dexan checks that I can see yeah, you see this molten bucket for sure There is definitely I got a 12 which is good because the other one was a 1. Cool, that passes. You will take half, that is 3, so you take 1 damage. Take 1 damage, great. And then the next D4 is a 2.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Okay, 2 is, I think. Oh yeah, as you take a little bit of, like, molten damage, another Tesla coil pops out of a weird direction and hits you and shocks you, make a con save. Great. All these saves are actually pretty good for you. 12, yeah, you pass, you take half,
Starting point is 01:11:38 you take five damage from that and roll one more D4 as you are entering the platform. God, another three. Okay, another bucket. It's a metal polo- bucket polo- Hot bucket, it's ya. Make a Dex check.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Crosses her fingers to get a bucket. As did I have this thing where a bunch of buckets came out, just I just thought that maybe I should warn you about it. Too late. Yeah, yeah, make them with the advantage. And it's another Dex check? Yeah, and you have advantage, right? Yeah, yeah, make them with the advantage. And it's another Dex check. Yeah, and you have advantage, right? Great, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:11 15. You get hit for six divided by two, so three, because you passed, yeah, sorry. Great. And then I guess what I'll do is crossbow this guy. Oh yeah, so you're at the end of the platform, you're not quite off of it yet, right? I'm not quite off of it yet, so it's just one guy, right? You see this like flaming headed, dwarven figure, but yeah, it doesn't look like...
Starting point is 01:12:36 When you look at it, you know that this is not human in any way, it's just made to look like a dwarf. Astrid, I see you're getting inspired by me. Twins huh? Twins! Astrid Twins! Three of us are twins! You feel like there's like a 9 kids on Bob's Burgers that are like, that like we are kids that like hold hands
Starting point is 01:13:00 that like are, you're just best friends and they don't. You can't really find them, you're just best friends and they don't I got a 15 15 to hit it clangs off of me doesn't hurt them at all Damn he looks at you and he's like, okay great you guys are all coming in here. I'm I'm ready to I'm ready to lose it all right here I'm ready to lose it all right here. Uh... We won! Right spet-a-pay! I spit on the floor! I want all these toys to be made right now! It's a lot of fun! Uh...
Starting point is 01:13:36 Yeah, so it's now the Azer's turn. He's gonna go up to um... Turbine, I guess. Why? Because he lied to me. Because he's the only one there. And a make an attack roll on you. He pulls out this flaming hammer and he swings it at you.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Mm. And he misses wildly. Cool, nice. And that is his turn, I think. Yeah, yeah, that's all he can do. Next up is Brenda Elizabeth. Okay, Brenda Elizabeth, sparkly with a glittery electricity, is finally going to do what she made this build for.
Starting point is 01:14:14 She is going to cast Guiding Bolt on this fucker at a second level. Oh. That's probably gonna hit. Oh, does a 16 hit oh there's a 16 hit 17 would hit that's okay cuz I have bar to get inspiration Hey, I got a fucking six Hell yeah, that definitely hits so that is going to be
Starting point is 01:14:42 15 radiant damage holy shit 15 radiant damage. Holy shit. And now my next attack will get advantage. Turbine, as you know, this thing swung at you, you feel a different light behind you. Not just warm, horrifying, fiery light behind you. You see a glittery and jelly. A glittery jelly light with hair standing on hands. Shoot a glittery jelly light forward and strike. It's way more, it's a different, like, you know, daylight versus tungsten balance, you know, like a lighter light hits this thing for a ton of damage. Then I'm gonna use my movement to get within 60 feet
Starting point is 01:15:23 of this creature. So I'll do the thing right where I roll the D4. Oh yeah yeah. So I get onto this thing, I got a one. Ass, you don't have to, you don't get hit by anything. Amazing. So I run as far as I can and then I'm going to use my bonus action to now make a bow attack. Oh! With... with advantage. So you're still on the belt? Yeah, so I'm still on the belt. I've moved 25 feet.
Starting point is 01:15:53 Cool. And then I'm in my archer form. I can ask a bonus action every turn just make a range to attack. Oh, sick. Great. Wow. Roll your tent. So I got a 17 plus six is 23. Cool. For another eight damage. Damn. So this turn you've hit this guy for 23 damage I think. Yeah. He's looking he's sturdier than the guy I did my 25 I did my 25
Starting point is 01:16:25 that does this have a dash property to it as well free dash. Yeah, I think what makes sense is I say like every 20 feet of the thing you have to roll a D4 so you okay if you got if you've gone 25 feet you'd have to roll one more this turn. Okay I got a three isn't that the bullet one? Yeah, so I'm pretty excited for this. Brenda Elizabeth, look out for the bullet one. Yeah, I'm looking like a sweet- I take out an empty quill, just waiting for it. Yeah, this molten metal falls onto your hand, burning you.
Starting point is 01:16:58 And yeah, it gets on the quill, I guess. And then is it a deck saver? Do I just take the damage? Oh yeah, it's a the quill, I guess. And then is it a deck saver? Do I just take the damage? Oh, yeah, it's a deck saver, sorry. That's a four. There's no way I could pass. No, unfortunately, that's six damage. And so I moved a total of 50 feet, right?
Starting point is 01:17:18 So I'm because I had the free dash. Yes. Do I need to roll again? I guess is my question. Yeah, roll the third one, third and final one. It's another one. Cool, so you pass. So he brinnellis was on the edge of that conveyor belt.
Starting point is 01:17:35 Next up is turbine. Do I have a sense of like, what kind of shape this dwarf guy is in? He's sturdier than the first form and bot you saw. This is like the head form and bot prime. He definitely is pretty hurt though. I mean, Bruno Elizabeth's shots really fucked him up. But he has a little more effort than I thought.
Starting point is 01:17:59 Brenda Elizabeth smiles, amacopely. Okay, cool. Then I am going to, I'm gonna cast dissonant whispers on him, or as it's gonna take the form with turbine, it's going to be like just the the most horrible sound from his herty-girdy, just cranking out to this like
Starting point is 01:18:18 awful, discordant light. Naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, naked, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can, I can, I can't, I can So it fails this wisdom save and it has to run away from you this turn. It has to take first 3d6 damage and then if it has a reaction it has to try to run away from me. You roll your 3d6 and tell you what you get. That is 10. Cool, so it takes 10 damage. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:11 My ears. My flit is ears are already on fire and he's like I'm Flaming ears. He's like buckles a little bit and he has uses reaction Move what he said, right? That's what it's yeah, okay, so he uses his reaction to move away from you He can't leave the area because there's a closed door, but he's like, he's backed up against the wall like a wrestler on ropes. Okay. Now it is, is that the end of your turn?
Starting point is 01:19:37 Or you think that's everything I am able to do? Awesome. So to remind that was the end of your turn, you frighten this this horrifying creature in front of you with your music. And now it is back at the top Astrid. I see this this coward, I'm not a coward. I run up to him and I once again say, you will remember the day Master's job. Why can't you say that to people you're trying to kill? I like this clearly glitches my brain a little bit. I hadn't thought about that at all.
Starting point is 01:20:23 I'm so sorry. And I am attacking with my wall habit. 24. Yeah, that is for sure. Great. Ooh, that is a 16 damage. As you hit him, yeah, you take nine fire damage from this thing
Starting point is 01:20:48 As you as you hit this flaming dwarf But how much did you hit it for again? 16 cool. He was like I'll remember the name as you crush a skull and he doesn't say your name Does he died? Baby don't aim for the braid if you walk them to remember your name. Can I take his wahama? I mean, the flame goes out as he dies, but if you want, if you want, yeah, I'll say you can take it.
Starting point is 01:21:15 Is it better than mine or? It's the same, but worse. It's probably, oh, OK. It's probably unclear, you know? Oh, then, oh, okay. It's probably uglier, you know, like, oh Then I won't take it. I like the flames, but if there's no flames, I'll leave it Yeah, as you hit him his head and or hammer extinguish and you fall to the ground dead And then that door and front of you opens and the machines behind you shut off you have Exited combat you are through this little encounter.
Starting point is 01:21:45 Going to keep my archer starry foreman in case anything else comes. And also to try to impress other people. Cool. So as you exit combat, you see the other teams come through. Next up is Raider, Bankenbach, followed by Noah and the other two dwarves. And then finally, like a really fucked up mop comes out like, wow, that guy was pretty tough. And like, you're halfway.
Starting point is 01:22:11 Are you on vacation? Sorry, I just have to be there to ask you. Are you on vacation? Well, if you live a certain kind of lifestyle, it's like kind of always like you're on vacation. So that's true, brother. That's true. I'm not changed to like a desk if you know what I mean
Starting point is 01:22:26 I would like this job, but Right now I guess that's what I was kind of curious about if you were applying for a job on vacation It just kind of like depends, you know like I would take this As he says that Barnum is come down. He's like great work everyone. Thank you so much for Shedding off all these machines and did kind of get away from me. No more toys. Well, I mean that's not the poll. No more toys and no more unions. We hear the good guys messaging here got really fucked you guys got first you got four you see that your yellow bracelet slide up and with four on it radar binkinbock have three on theirs two to know and one on the
Starting point is 01:23:10 final group with mop Barnabas regards the group that came in last and he's like I'm sorry to say this guys but it seems like we're just gonna have to move forward with these nine thank you so much for interviewing them it's been really nice to get to know you so well. I forgot. I don't know what are your names. How's the half length? The two half lengths who haven't said it. Sorry, your tall companion took the spotlight. On mom. There's sort of no point in you learning their names. They're not going to win. That's actually interesting. Yeah. in fact, they're actually,
Starting point is 01:23:46 the process is complete for them. And he presses a button. Can I watch to make sure they don't get, like, killed? Yes, but you watch as he presses a button on his wristband that opens a hole in the floor, they just fall through. And he's like, I'm just sending them back to the town. So, they'll be fine. They'll be fine. Oh, be fine. They'll be fine.
Starting point is 01:24:05 Oh, cap. Interesting. Could be a good toy. If we get the job, will you teach us how to make these trap doors? Because that's very interesting to me. Oh, yes. If you get the job, there's plenty of trap door work that we have. Give a big trap door that goes to the town.
Starting point is 01:24:22 It shoots out to the bottom and then they can go to the town. Oh, like an anus for the obelisk. It doesn't go all that goes to the town. It shoots out to the bottom and then they can go to the town. Oh, like an anus for the obelisk. It doesn't go all the way to the town. They'll be outside of the obelisk and then they can. Okay. It's not going to spit them out into the center of the town. They didn't just fall into some sort of uble-yet situation. Uble-yet.
Starting point is 01:24:40 That's what we're concerned about. Uble-yet. Like a prison, some dark dungeon thing. Oh, god. No, I would never do that. Spikes. You can make a insight. Can you just real quick open up the trap door just so we could peek down, make sure.
Starting point is 01:24:53 I, I got a three to my insight. Okay. What is my three insights? I got a 10 on my insight, check. Cool. I got a 21. Cool insight check. Cool. I got a 21. Cool. So Astrid, turbine. Yeah, this guy might fucking have chopped these people up
Starting point is 01:25:12 in a weird prison at the bottom of this. Yeah, this is this. Cool. This is the fucked Barnabas. I can tell. I can tell that I'm looking at him. Rena Elizabeth, he's telling the truth. He was just sent them back.
Starting point is 01:25:23 I'm afraid I must defend this bad's order. What the fuck to Barnabas? You have by steed, Barnabas. We had the steeds in the atrium. We can go say hello to your steed and I say... No, metaphorically, metaphorically. Oh, I thank you. Hey, you know, we don't have to be this hostile towards the person who's interview. I make like a sort of like I I'm sorry, do you want a job or not? Oh, I want a job here and I'm keeping my eye on you look like Robert De Niro Get my eye and you fuck Barnabas
Starting point is 01:25:55 You haven't mentioned that I Yeah, wow look at that We should get into costumes here. We can do that Yeah, wow, look at that. We should get into costumes here. We can do that. So as you guys exit this area, Barnabas opens this next circular door and you come into a new room that has sort of glass walls
Starting point is 01:26:15 that overlook, it looks to you like it couldn't possibly make sense, but it overlooks like the ocean. You can make an inside perception role if you want. I can't see the ocean. Let's go to B16. A nine. I got a net 20. Yeah, so this is like a digital like background that is making this area look, you know, like where they want to be. And so you see this glass pit looking area that Barnabas leads you all into, pits the wrong word.
Starting point is 01:26:45 It's too tough. I mean, I point my eyes at part of it. It's like, uh, pit here. That's good. Get him back for pointing at my horse so much. I personally support to it, sure, of old work as he won't work. He's hot, not liking this pit is beautiful.
Starting point is 01:27:01 I'm learning a lot. That's what I'm learning a lot about this outside perspective. Because sometimes, you know, the last 50 years I've been inside here and I'm learning a lot. And that's what I'm learning a lot about this outside perspective. Because sometimes, you know, the last 50 years I've been inside here and I'm realizing that I did not quite think through how this could be perceived. So these are good notes. I'm not projecting any of this. As you enter this glass area, Barnabas says, this is where the majority of the ideas are born here.
Starting point is 01:27:25 I'd like to introduce you all to one of the few other not robotic beings here, or not fully robotic, I should say. This is Namfari. He's one of the few creatives working at the facilitator. You see darkness pass over you as something flies over your head, and you feel the ground shake, which is kind of hard to do here with the ground that absorbs. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:51 Yeah, we've investigated this ground. I, I don't, I start jumping up like shaking is for me. So you all are jumping up and down for some reason as this whole king figure. Brand is very, brand is's super still as a, Brenda Elizabeth's super still as turbine and asward hop for some reason. As this hulking figure hits the ground with a massive force that shakes the room a little bit.
Starting point is 01:28:17 You look up to see huge wings outstretched, that fold back in. You see a human face with a human chest and huge lion-like arms and legs and this big creature shakes its mane out. But as you look at it closer, you see part of its face is robotic. It has a camera, like eye that moves around. It's like fucking mat-eye moody or something. It's got two robotic legs and one of its wings at the bottom has like metallic feathers on it instead of a regular Feathers regular feathers. It's it's a like part sphinx part robot Robo's thing. I am still a I'm still Robin Hood I'm still concentrating out by starry form, but I do take out my sketchbook to do all this magnificent creature Ask us what riddles you would like. I'm a straight ace
Starting point is 01:29:12 Astrid has no idea that have had that is paying for That's interesting that the This Mechanos finks shakes its main ounces. Hi guys. Let's get the meeting started. Oh, mechanos, finks, shakes its main ounces. Hey guys, let's get the meeting started. I was hoping I could guide you. Oh, cool. I'm self-innergy.
