Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. Welcome back to the Not Skinny Bonafat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I still can't believe that I get to chat with some of my favorite stars from my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room. I've had my food truck here. So I have like a Cloud 23 food truck with Luke Ali. It's today as well. Oh, cool. So you were at the truck.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Yeah, it's like this really massive like blue truck with the angels and the hot sauce bottles. And we're selling like free wings. Oh, cool. So people can try. Where is that parked at? So it goes around like each whole foods. JP, where is it today? I think it's up east side.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Oh my God. I live in the Upper East Side. We should go. So it's, I think it's sometimes. it's like 11 to 1 and then it's 4 to 7. Oh, cool. We're going to find out where it is. But the upurysiders are going to miss your cameo.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Yeah. Like you're not going to be there. Well, you know. I went to the Brooklyn one, which I felt like I had to. You had to. Exactly. Are we good? Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Yay. Brooklyn Beckham is here. Amazing. BPB. BPB. Brooklyn Pelt's Beckham. You for taking that last name of your wives. That's so cool of you.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Yeah. It was, I mean, like, we, like, thought about it, and it was, it was my idea. And then I was like, oh, it would be such a cool idea. Like, at some point to have, like, Little Pelks Beckham's running about. And, you know, we just thought it was a cute idea. That is really cute. And that it came from you, you feminist. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Truly. And did you change it officially? Like, credit cards, so security, everything? It's hard on my, because I still have a British passport. So it's a little bit of a difficult, like, longer process. Yeah. But yeah, we're doing it now. You're doing it, like, because you want the kids.
Starting point is 00:01:58 to have boat. And it's hyphenated? No, it's just Brooklyn Peltz back in. P.B. Yeah. So BPB is in the house. He came out with new hot sauces, Cloud 23. Cloud 23. Tell me about this. Tell me about why hot sauces. So it started from my love for hot sauce. I love hot sauce and I love condiments. And I kind of wanted to make the sexiest hot sauce bottle and like the sexiest condiments.
Starting point is 00:02:22 So we're actually doing a whole luxury line of condiments, not just hot sauce. Can't tell you what ones. Maybe. Maybe. We'll see. Love the mail. Okay. So, yeah, and I wanted to design something that looks really good on, you know, on a
Starting point is 00:02:37 restaurant table, but can also taste really good on like a food truck. So, and it's fully organic. One of them has zero calories. The other one has five. It's gluten-free. It's, you know, non-GMO, kosher. But so I know we know you love cooking. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:51 But condiments, that was your like. Yeah, I wanted to go into like the business aspect of cooking. Yeah. I love design, and I just, you know, wanted to do a hot sauce, my own hot sauce. And how long does it take to, like, create something like this? How long have you been working on it? The whole process. I love when you say process.
Starting point is 00:03:08 The whole process, probably just under three years. Because when I wanted to do, when I was deciding what condiment to do, I was like, oh, maybe hot sauce. And then I found out how to make it. And I was at home with my missus. And we made, and we made the, that's Nicola. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:24 And we made the first ingredients for the bottle. and it kind of started there. And if you've ever made hot sauce in like your kitchen, open up a window and put like 10 fans on because we were like coughing the whole night. Really? We can Nicola cook too? No. Okay. So you're involving her in the process, but she was more just like, I'm the cook. I'm the cook. You're just the cook. Okay. So how does it start with a lot of peppers? A lot of. Yeah. So I just watched like a little video online and yeah, you have to like put the peppers like right on the fire. You don't even have to. You can get a pan if you want to. Just get them charred. And then you put them in a blend.
Starting point is 00:03:56 and then you add the vinegar, you add the salt, whatever you want to put in there, the habaneros, and then after you boil it, and then after that you wait for it to cool down, and then you put it in the bottle and put it in the fridge. So you, this is your recipe, like from home? Yes. And then, I mean, when you touch your eye, you got to be careful with that, right? Yeah. So do you have a lot of accidents like that with hot sauce?
Starting point is 00:04:17 I did maybe the third time I was cooking it. I, it's the habaneros, the ones that are really hot. Yeah. And I picked one up or I scooped it. up and I put it in the blender and then I accidentally like, because I had allergies that day of really bad hay fever. Yeah. And the pollen was kind of strong. So I rub my eye and it didn't. It didn't vibe. It was yeah. So you created both recipes. There is hot habanero and sweet jalapeno. Yes. Do you have a fame? The sweet one. Yeah. The sweet one. Yeah. It has
Starting point is 00:04:44 organic brown sugar and sorry, sweet and spicy really go together. And the sweet really helps bring out that flavor. So what's the weirdest thing you've put it on? Smores. Actually like two weeks ago, I I put it on smores. Why? And I was actually going to post video. My wife took a video of me eating it. I was at the fire with my family and Nicola. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:04 And she was like, just do a video of you putting it on a smore. And I did. And I know it sounds crazy. And I know people are going to be like, ugh. Yeah. It was actually pretty good. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:14 For real? It was actually really good. Somebody, I saw a video recently that was like, can we just admit that smores aren't that good? I'm actually not a fan of smores. Really? Not a fan of smores. No. So somebody posted out and I was like, wait, truly.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I don't think I fully enjoyed a smear like the vibe you're with the fire but like yeah it's not the tastiest thing yeah I'm not I never been really a fan I don't really like dessert yeah so not really oh you're more of a entree guy yeah so if you had to like dessert what's your favorite if I had to do a dessert I'd like I don't mind pecan pie I like pecan pie I like can you make it I've made it once yeah good it was pretty good I prefer like store bought like those little like kind of like it really comes like as a cake right I like I like that and like for like my birthdays or like anniversaries my wife gets me a whole mountain of donuts because I don't like cake oh wow you don't like like a chocolate cake you don't vibe with it's not really a fan really
Starting point is 00:06:13 any other food goals like would you want to be like a judge on a food show or like compete in something I think like I'm so obsessed with like the business aspect of it and like I'm so busy with Cloud 23. I thought I would love to have a restaurant at some point. Right. That'll be fun. Yes. That'll be fun. Yeah. That's definitely needs to happen. Yeah. Cloud 23, the name. Tell me. Cloud 23. Cloud 23. So it's my lucky number. And it's... God, I do love that number too, by the way. Yeah. So 7 and 23. Those are my lucky numbers. And 23 was the day I asked my missus to marry me. And a base been on Cloud 9 since. Yeah. It was a long thought of the name. Why are you such a romantic? Let's like, no, no, no, back it up. Are you such a romantic because of your parents?
Starting point is 00:06:59 Are you such a romantic because Nicola brought this out in you? Like how was this coming from? I think a bit of both. My dad is romantic with my mom. And that's like when me and Nicola started like dating. He was just like, he like gave me advice. He was like, to do really nice things for her and look after her. And, you know, and also I just, I love doing that for Nicola.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I'm on cloud nine. Okay. You proposed on the 23rd. 23rd. And you've been on cloud nine Cloud nine since Yeah Is she ever like enough
Starting point is 00:07:30 Enough with the romance She loves it She loves it She loves it You're lucky Because some girls That are a little cuckoo crazy Can be like
Starting point is 00:07:38 You know Too much romance can like Kill it for them Yeah But you found one that like Loves all the romance And you're an act Of service kind of guy
Starting point is 00:07:47 Yeah I like and also like I just I love hosting people Like whenever like My friends Or her friends come to my house So, like, my family or my wife's family, I always love, like, cooking for people. And I think, like, that's why I also love cooking.
Starting point is 00:08:01 And the condiment space is that food really brings people together. Yeah, it's true. And I think that's so important. So, like, I can't really hang out with someone who doesn't like to eat, you know? Like, you have friends that, like, aren't into food. Like, it's not fun if people aren't. I'm a massive foodie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:17 And so is my missus. Thank God. Thank God. The only restaurant she don't, she, like, I try and get her to go to the, the umacase the japanese which is my favorite she just like she's a little bit picky with food so but you know we have our like favorite restaurants that we go to and you know we have four dogs so we're usually staying in ordering food or i'm cooking so do you cook for the dogs do they get special food i do they do i cook them chicken and rice seriously you know that i can't even
Starting point is 00:08:50 cook chicken really i'm not kidding you guys i tried to make just like grilled chicken straight up. Yeah. And maybe I need a tip for you. First of all, I put coconut oil spray because I was trying to be healthy. Okay. It made me choke, like the whole house.
Starting point is 00:09:04 I don't know why. Then it looked like it was ready from the outside. I did put medium heat, but then it was completely on the inside. Cooking chicken is difficult. Yeah. Like, I mean, I love making, like, fried chicken. Like, the other day,
Starting point is 00:09:17 I wanted to make, like, fried chicken with my hot sauce. That would be good. Which was really good. yeah, I put, for the sauce, you put, I put the sweet one, because that's my favorite, with some honey and a little bit of butter, and it's amazing. It was really good. Yeah, because, like, you can eat, like, steak, like, steak. Do you eat at medium, medium, rare? I like a medium rare. Medium rare. I like medium rare. But, like, chicken you can't. So you really have to make sure that.
Starting point is 00:09:45 In Tokyo, you can eat raw chicken. It's like a delicacy that I saw. Yeah. That because the, you know, like, obviously you can't eat raw chicken in America. Right. But in Tokyo, it's like a dish where you actually can. And I saw a video on it a couple of days ago. So are you going to go? Have you been? I love Tokyo.
Starting point is 00:10:03 It's one of my favorite places. Really? You just haven't tried the raw chicken. No, not yet. I went like two years ago and I loved it. I love everything about Tokyo. It's amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And the food is amazing. You know what else I saw you make? I saw you make the inspired by that Logan guy, the cucumber thing. Oh, yeah, cucumber salad. Did you love it? I, by the way. like through the summer, I saw his video and I was like, before he blew up. Before he blew up, I saw it. And I was like, oh, my God, that looks so good. So I ordered all
Starting point is 00:10:29 the stuff and I made it for the first time. And I've been obsessed with it. Stop. Okay. So I did something wrong because I wasn't obsessed. But did you add MSG though? No. Yeah. No. And it still was good. Okay. So that's not, that wasn't the mistake that I made. So how did you get into cooking? How did this love start? I've always been a foodie. You know, when I was growing up, I was lucky enough. to live in some pretty cool places like grew up in Madrid and I lived a bit in Milan and I've just always been obsessed with trying different cuisines and then COVID hit and then I really started falling in love with cooking it like the first part of my life I loved like eating it and I love like the cultures and learning about everything and then COVID hit and I started cooking and I fell in
Starting point is 00:11:13 love with it and yeah I've just been obsessed with it ever since did you your dad cook's between your mom and your dad, right? Yes. Your mom doesn't cook at all. No. So did you watch him in the kitchen where you like, let me help you? Yeah, it was something that me and my dad definitely bonded over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:29 You know, it was just something we always loved doing together. Who's the better cook? It's hard to compete with my dad because he's pretty good. Yeah? He's pretty good. Doesn't he have a whole like setup? Like what's a set? Like that has like this little like, he has this tent thing that has like this massive table,
Starting point is 00:11:45 which is like a woodburn in the middle and like a fryer and it like heats up your legs. So, like, my mom and Nicola very happy when they're waiting for the food. Yeah. But what can you make in that thing? Just pizza? You can make anything. Oh, really? You can make chicken. You can make anything. Is that your goal? Like, would that be a dream to have, like, the farm and the thing and everything? I mean, my favorite place is Napa Valley. I actually just got back there. I took, I took Nicola there for a few days. And I kind of grew up, like, go in there, like, once a year. And I just, I love it there so much. And so, yeah, I think my dream is at some point to get a house in napa. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Where are you guys now in L.A.? We live in L.A. So we drove down there. It's like a six and a half hour drive. It's not that bad. With the dogs? We didn't take our dogs this time. Last time we did.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Oh, you did. Yeah. So we could see you and Nicola down the line living the farm life, you're saying. I think like we'll always be based in L.A. Because that's like where our work is. Yeah. But, you know, at some point, I need to work a little bit more. And you grew up in L.A.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Right, like L.A. and Madrid? So I was born in London, raised in Manchester for a few years, and then I moved to Madrid. And then, yeah, for like five, six years, I lived in L.A. when I was like 10? So what's, like, when do you feel like your home? I mean, I think, like, L.A. probably. Really? Yeah, it's where, like, our places, our dogs, like my work. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Also, it's really nice going back to London as well. I miss London. Do you speak Spanish? No. I used to. I used to. I forgot it. Yeah, I forgot it.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Did you ever think you were going to go to the soccer route? Yeah, I mean, I played football my whole life or soccer. I played soccer my whole life. Yeah. Loved it so much. But I don't know. I just kind of wanted to do something different, make a name for myself and go a different way. First of all, you're only 25.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Let us back the fuck up. You turn 25. March. March. Okay, so 26 soon. So you're only 25. You proposed when you were 20. 23.
Starting point is 00:13:48 It's a baby. 23, yeah. Do you feel like you're like an old soul or like? I kind of like, I always knew that I was going to get married young. Yeah. And I feel like when you find that person, it's like you just kind of know. And, you know, because my mom and dad had me when they were 23. 23 again.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Yeah, 23. And like, I don't know. I just kind of always wanted to be married young. Really? And have kids young too. Yeah. You like a young dad. Whenever my missus is ready.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Whenever she wants. You're so cute. I can't. Can we deal? Like, if my husband doesn't start saying, like, whoever my misses it, like, I can't. I can't. So in terms of your cooking, who inspires you the most? Like, are there any chefs you look up to? I love Roy Choy. Roy Choy is probably my favorite. And I was lucky enough to cook with him on stage at Bottle Rock in Napa Valley one year. I love Bottle. I love Bottle. I love Bottle. I love Bottle. I love Bottle. I love to show you this is so wild. Look. You and your husband should go there. Yeah. It's really fun. I have to show you this is so wild. Look. what it came up for me today. You know how, like, on Instagram you can see three years ago today? Yeah. Okay. So it's like Halloween times.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Like, what came up? This is my baby three years ago. And look at the caption. Oh, my God. Like three years ago today. And I was like, oh, my God, I'm having you on the show today. Oh, my God. It's a picture of Noah dressed up as a chef and I wrote, Watch Out Brooklyn Backcom.
Starting point is 00:15:09 I think this is when, like, today, it popped up for me. I was like, I love when stuff happens like that, you know? That's so cute. We'll be right back after. the break. Dreamland Baby is a sponsor of today's episode. Dreamland Baby, if you guys haven't heard of it, I love them so much. Such an amazing baby brand.
Starting point is 00:15:28 They make not only sleep sacks, they make weighted sleep sacks, transitional swaddles for your baby. And what is great about them is that weighted situation because a wearable weighted sleep solution has become very popular. So basically what happens with the baby and the weighted situation is a Babies are so used to being like really encompassed in our bodies and held tightly. And that's why we swaddle them, right? When they're born and you're like, what is that nurse doing?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Why is my baby a burrito? And then the moment that you're not supposed to swaddle them anymore, it's kind of like they kind of go crazy. Like they need some sort of like a something to bring them, bring them down, relax them. So a little bit of that weight really goes a long way. So Dreamland baby, check out their sleep sacks, their weighted sleep sacks as well as their PJs if you're not looking for a sleep sack right now and you can enjoy their happy early Black Friday. Starting point is 00:17:19 closet that I did not have. And immediately my mind knew to go to Quince because I knew that I would get like a good cashmere for a good price. And I did. Starting point is 00:18:28 Like not as a joke even. I cannot cook. I swear to you the other day I had some chicken. Okay. In the freezer, I was like, I'm going to make some grilled chicken. Guess what?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Not only was I choking because I think I used the wrong oil on the pan. then when I thought it was ready seemingly, I cut it and saw that it was completely raw inside. And I was like, Amanda, this is what you can't do. You can't do it all. And that's why meal services that get sent to your house and are pre-prepared are a lifesaver for me. Starting point is 00:19:59 And we're back. But I remember when you started posting the videos, I was so into them, but there were some like haters, like people that were like, oh, come on, you're just making this or like, he thinks he can be a cook. Like, how do you deal with? that does that piss you off like i think i'm so used to it and i kind of realize like there's always
Starting point is 00:20:17 going to be people that are going to say not great stuff about you and i don't know it kind i actually kind of like it because then i like to prove people wrong because even like people have never really known what i do like you know i was doing photography for a bit and i was so excited to release this because i was like people are finally going to see what my passion is and what i love and it can taste it it's like tangible yeah exactly and i've always told people i'm like you can be however old you are and if you don't know what you're doing that's fine but as long as you do something that's happy or that makes you happy yeah you know what I mean so I was I was I was like figuring out what I wanted to do yeah and then I found it and love it so you brush off comments like
Starting point is 00:20:57 that you're saying yeah yeah because with the photography book when that came up did the memes make you laugh they did yeah they did yeah do you look back and you're like come on guys like it was they're good photos like you were walking around with the camera I remember seeing paparazzi all the time, which is wild, by the way, that you had pop bratsy on you since you were so young. But, like, you always had your camera. Yeah. Wanted to be a photographer. You wanted to go to school for it, right?
Starting point is 00:21:20 And then people see, like, somehow people came across it, like last year or something and there were, like, memes and stuff. Exactly. How did that make you feel? It was fine. Yeah? It was fine. Like, I said, like, I think I'm, like, so used to it.
Starting point is 00:21:34 And, you know, I've, I've never worked so hard on, like, anything before in my life. That's why I'm so excited for, to have it. it being released and to be exclusive with Whole Foods market. That's so exciting. You can get it at Whole Foods. Yes. Exclusively, you're saying. Exclusive. Okay. That's super cool. And I feel like the support is really there for this. I feel like people are really excited to see like, okay, Brooklyn, you talk to big talk.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Yeah. And I think like, I've seen the comments and like people actually really like it. I'm so excited. Because I really did literally put, like, this is like yours. Yeah. Yours in a bottle. Because I designed every little aspect of it, the ingredients, the cap, the bottle, the label. So, like, everything I designed, which I love, which I've never been able to do before. And it's been such a fun process. That's so cool. So any hints, tips about what the next thing is going to be?
Starting point is 00:22:28 I think I'm going to stay in the spicy kind of realm. But it's not going to be like hot sauce, hot, sauce, hot. Okay. You're going to stay in the spicy realm. Yeah. Sirracha? Anybody? I'm going to put my guess.
Starting point is 00:22:42 I want to put my guess out there. You did a booking.com ad that was so fucking funny. Tell me about that because I thought it was iconic. I posted it. I was like, I love a lean in. I love when people lean in to like the joke and I'm part of it. So how did that come up? Did you have any like creativity, like any saying it?
Starting point is 00:23:01 Yeah. I think like when I was doing it, it was actually really fun. The team who worked on the booking.com was so amazing. and it went so smoothly, and we filmed in New York. And I think my favorite bit was the bit where I was like, oh, that's my bridge. That's my right. Which when I was saying, I was like, people aren't going to find this funny. It was so funny.
Starting point is 00:23:21 And people loved it. Funny. It was fun to film. It was funny. And you do have, I mean, there is something, like, literal about your name, right? Yeah. Like, you were named Brooklyn because? I think because my mom was on tour with the Spice Girls in Brooklyn or in New York when she found out,
Starting point is 00:23:38 she was pregnant. Yeah. I think, yeah. So there is, I mean, it's literal. So you're like, yep, Brooklyn is my, do you like, you seem like a Brooklyn kind of guy, by the way. Really? Yeah. Williamsburg vibes. Do you hang out there ever when you're here? I went there two days ago for my food truck. And I loved it. It was like, because my favorite restaurant Lucali is in Brooklyn. I never hang out there. But I will because I went there like for a few hours. You should. It's very fun. It's really nice. Before we started recording, I was telling Brooklyn, because I wonder, when do you remember, like, the first time you were being, like, people were taking photos of you, like, independent of your parents, like in New York? Do you remember, like, what age?
Starting point is 00:24:18 Maybe, like, 8, 7, 18, 19. Yeah. Because I remember, like, always seeing paparazzi of you and thinking you have, like, the coolest style. Because I was telling you when you walked in, like, I love the fit. I really do. And I feel like you have such cool style. And I remember you used to have those, like, chain wallets. and we were talking about that before.
Starting point is 00:24:37 So that's why, to me, like, you're very Brooklyn. Yeah, my style was definitely changed. I went through the skinny jeans phase, which I was like, oh, my God. When I see pictures of my car, oh, my God. They were really tight. Yeah. Yeah. And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:52 I just kind of dress kind of simple now. It's a good fit, you guys. And I love that the, are those vans? They're a little, like, dirty. Yeah, they're a little bit old. But, like, look, you guys, take some tips. I'm serious. So you grew up with a very famous family, as we know.
Starting point is 00:25:06 know, but you seem like such a chill down-earth person. You also, I saw that you worked at like a cafe when you were young. French cafe, yeah. So you, did you grow up like normal? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I kind of like, I loved working at that French cafe. It was so fun. I worked there on weekends and I had the best time. I was really close with the main guy, Max, who, you remember. How old were you? I was 15. Wow. Yeah. 10 years ago and you remember Max? Yeah. Yeah, he was like fully French and we just, we had like the best friendship. So what did you? Were you a waiter? I was a waiter and then I dropped too many plates and then they moved me into the kitchen and
Starting point is 00:25:50 I made like like omelets and. Oh, so that's good. So was that after your kind of interest in cooking already started? Yeah. Oh. So I was like, I really want to go down to the kitchen. Oh, that's neat. Yeah. Waitressing is hard. Yeah. Especially at like a French cafe, because there's been times where like I was so young and Max was like, oh, like, can you go and take their order? And so I was so nervous. It was on my first day. And I went and this family was like French. And I was like, oh, what can I get you guys?
Starting point is 00:26:20 Like, bonjour. And they ordered in French. And I was no, I didn't want to tell them. I didn't speak French. So I like kind of like fake wrote it down. I was like, okay. And then I went back to Max. I was like, I don't know what they said.
Starting point is 00:26:32 And then he made me go back. And I was like, oh, no. So I had to go back and say, I'm so sorry. I don't speak French. Can you repeat your order? It's kind of like when I ask for directions and people tell me and I'm like, uh-huh. Then I left.
Starting point is 00:26:44 And I forget everything. You don't even know what they told you. No, but waitressing, like, I remember doing it for the first time in my life. And I was like, this is like one of the heart, like, it's in for, you're dealing with people, which could be nerve-wracking. You have to like remember what to do. Then you have to bring out the plates and not break them.
Starting point is 00:27:00 It's very hard. And I feel like there's a technique to it. Like, there's some people that do it. There is. really well. You said that? Okay, one of your lucky numbers is seven, you said. Yes. Which, by the way, I vibe with both of those numbers. Your sister, Harper's Seven. Middle name, seven. Her middle name. But you guys, like, use the middle name. Always. Do you call her like Harper Seven? Come here? My dad does. My dad does. Or, like, Harpy. Like, little, because, like, my
Starting point is 00:27:26 nickname's Buster. Harper's is Harvey. Wait, why Buster? Something that my dad's just has called me my whole life. Really? Oh, it's so dad. It's so like buster. It's like old school. Yeah. Yeah. And she's why is she seven? Is there a reason for that? I'm not sure actually. I'm not sure. She's a lucky little girl. She is. Seven's a cool middle name. Yeah. I look at her life and I'm like, that's a life I take. Like she gets to hang out. She's my biggest critic of my food as well. Really? Like she'll tell you the truth. Yeah. Did she try the hot sauce? She loves it. Yeah? She loves it. She can, how will Is she, I'm like, is she seven? She's 13.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Okay. So she could deal with some hot sauce. Yeah. Is there anyone in your family that, like, can eat spicy food? No. Everyone can. Really? I mean, they didn't really have that much hot sauce until I started that.
Starting point is 00:28:17 And now that I came out with it and now they love it. Oh, yeah. Pitches every day of that Harper with her breakfast, she's cooking eggs. Oh. Yeah. But the Brits aren't really known for their food, right? TBH. Yeah, I think, like, so many of my American friends are like, oh, like, I've been to,
Starting point is 00:28:33 London and I'm not a fan of the food. It's so unhealthy. I always say that they've just gone to the wrong places. I love English food like bangers and mash and fish and chips and pie mash. You know what I? But like in London, oh, I feel like there are no condiments. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like if you go and get like a salami sandwich, it's literally like bread and they don't put any sauces. Yeah. Maybe that's why you got into, maybe we're like, where is the sauce? Yeah. I need the sauce. No, I am so. with condiments, if it's not dripping down my chin when I eat a sandwich, like I'm not okay with that. You're the oldest brother too, right? Yes. What's that like? Are you
Starting point is 00:29:14 protective? I am very protective. I think, like, you know, we're all so close and we've always been so close. And, you know, it's great that they look up to me and I love that. And it's, it's the best. So it's you, then after you is? Romeo, then Cruz, then Harper. So Romeo and Are they, like, closer than, are they, like, the closest? I think, well, like, they, yeah. I mean, I think, like, we're all, like, very close, like, together. Like, we're all really close. And we're kind of, like, all, like, doing, like, our own things now.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Like, Romeo's doing his thing. Cruz is doing his singing. He's modeling, right? Yeah. Romeo's modeling. Cruz is singing. I'm doing my cooking thing. Wow.
Starting point is 00:29:54 So we're kind of all doing our own things. And there's Harper, like, sandwich in between all these boys. Yep. But you know what's crazy? your parents had three boys and then do you remember if your mom wanted a fourth to have a girl or she just wanted a fourth? I think they did want to go. And then they got one. Yeah. That like doesn't happen. Yeah. Because I have two boys and people are always like, well, you're going to try for a girl. And it's like, I wouldn't have another baby because then it could be a boy. But it is, I feel like rare that that
Starting point is 00:30:23 happens that you have three of the same sex and then she got the girl. Yeah. Which is so special. Yeah. So wait, but they're all in. London as well. Yes. Yeah, they're all in London. So you don't see them like that often? I mean, they're like half the time in Miami as well. And we're always in Miami. Oh, what's in Miami? So my mom and dad, they're like six months of the time. Oh, the, the soccer. Yeah, the Miami team. Okay. And then my wife's family's in Palm Beach, which is like an hour and a half between each other. So we're always, we've always going back and forth. Do you, because you're one of four, Do you also picture having four?
Starting point is 00:30:58 I want to have as many as my wife wants, to be honest. Like, I always want a lot. You know, I think it's so nice. Wait, more than four? I mean, yeah, what do you care? You're not getting pregnant. I know. So it's totally up to her.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Yeah. It's up to her. It's funny when, yeah, when guys say it, it's like, oh, really? You want all these kids? Where are they coming out of? You know what I mean? We'll be right back after the break. I am such a fan of Color Wow.

I really like Holla.
Starting point is 00:36:08 That's a good one. Yeah. Holla's a good one. Do you listen still from time? I do. Sometimes, like on the way to nap and me, my missus, listen to it. Oh, that's so cute. How did you meet, Nicola?
Starting point is 00:36:19 So I met her. I've known her like seven years. And I was friends with two of her brothers before we started dating. And I was living in London at the time. So I only saw when I was like coming out here for work or LA for work. And I always thought she was so gorgeous. And yeah, I just didn't really ever like have the chance to ask her out. And obviously I was friends with two of her brothers.
Starting point is 00:36:44 And I was like, I don't want it's like, I don't want them to think like, oh, I'm friends with them to get to their sister. So one time for Halloween I came out. she was at the same party and you know asked her out and we got along just straight away asked her out went straight for it okay where was your first date our first day was actually right after the Halloween party we actually left early and I drove us down to the ocean and we just sat there and just talked I yeah that that was like our first day like that night you were like do you want to go out and you didn't even make a plan for the next day you just straight away went to those Did you bring, like, wine or?
Starting point is 00:37:25 No, I didn't bring wine because I was driving, but, um... Oh, guys, listen to that. He's safe. But no, we just, um, just had like a Diet Coke. Oh, so you liked Diet Coke? I was going to ask you. Had some sweets. You're a Diet Coke guy or a Coke Zero guy?
Starting point is 00:37:40 I actually like Pepsi. I like Pepsi. Yeah. Pepsi regular or Diet Pepsi? What's the, the black one? The Pepsi Zero. Pepsi Max? Pepsi Max.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Pepsi Mac. Pepsi Zero. Oh, Pepsi? Really? I have to say how to, I was at a, I was at a, a restaurant, like, on Saturday, and I was like, as I did I Coke, and they were like, we have Pepsi. And I was like, who drinks I have Pepsi? But here, here you are. Yeah. Why do you like it more? Oh, no. I just like, it's like a lot sweeter. Huh. And yeah, just. Do you buy it for
Starting point is 00:38:09 your house or is it just at a restaurant? I do buy it for the house. You do? So it's like balance at your house. Yeah. I try and not drink too much of it. Yeah. My wife always tries to get me to drink more water. Does she do? Oh, she gets you to try to drink more water. Yeah. I'm my God, she goes through, like, so many big bottles a day. Like bigger than mine? Literally, she goes through like 10 of those a day. Guys could never understand us. Yeah, I don't know how you guys do it.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Yeah. My husband looks at it like, what is that? He calls it a pitcher. He's like, here's your pitcher, like a picture of picture. I'm seeing all your tattoos. Yes. We need to know. First of all, love the star of David.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Oh, thank you. And then how many tattoos do you have for the misses? I have close to, God, I literally have no idea. I have over like 150 tattoos or something like that. That was the last time I checked. And I've gotten a few since then. Stop. And how many for the misses?
Starting point is 00:39:02 Quite a lot. I have all of our, I have my vows that I wrote for her on my arm. I have the day I'll start to marry me. I have beautiful girl. Is that, do you call her that? A birthday. My beautiful girl, yeah. I have.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Wait, what does it say there? Where? Married? Where? That one. This one? Oh, yeah, married. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:22 He's like, don't, meanwhile, men are like taking off their wedding rings and he's like, has a straight up tattoo married. Yeah. Does she have, you have her eyes, which, you know. I have her eyes on the back of my neck. Which is like in your face. Yeah. Did you, when you went to the tattoo ars, did she come and just open her eyes the whole time?
Starting point is 00:39:38 No, I took a picture of, like a close up picture of her eyes. And I went to this guy called Dr. Wu, who I'm really close with as well. And I was like, okay, I want this on my neck. And I had like a bit of longer hair when I did it. And it kind of got a little bit infected. The tattoo? Yeah, because, like, my hair was like, yeah, it was painful. So then how did it get better?
Starting point is 00:40:00 I cut my hair short. Stop, like it was inner. It was not letting it heal. I was going to cut my hair off at some point because I'm not really a fan of, like, me having long hair. I liked it. The long hair. Yeah. You have good hair.
Starting point is 00:40:13 It's like, it's a little bit fixed. So when it gets too long, it kind of starts to get, like, flat. Oh, and now it has, like, volume. Yeah. Yeah. That looks good. Thank you. Do you do the eyebrow thing or does it like that?
Starting point is 00:40:24 Oh my God. This, this side. Yeah, this side. You do it? Yeah. So I did it a few years ago and maybe like seven years ago. And it just doesn't really grow back now. Really?
Starting point is 00:40:36 And I always tell people, I'm always like, oh yeah, no. Like it just like it just happened. And then my wife's like, no, you did it. Yeah. Because it was like a cool thing for a while. Yeah. But now it won't grow back. You're saying.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Yeah. Sometimes I. But it still looks. Cool on you. I'm telling you, you've got to bring that chain back. Like, you're old school. You're like an old school skater boy. Do you skate? Do you like it? I used to skate. Yeah. I used to skate and then I just hurt myself too many times. And now I'm too busy with the hot sauce. I know. I do love to skate. Pictures like for, since you're also a photographer, like did you do any of the art for the hot sauce or anything like that? Yeah. So I designed the whole
Starting point is 00:41:17 label and yeah i i i love taking pictures of the bottle like when i go to a nice restaurant i always take one with me and so yeah are you hoping they get into restaurants like that they become part of like instead of taking out tobasco they could take out cloud 23 at some point yeah i'd love that yeah and if you had a restaurant because you said that before like what food would you want to have there i don't know i always go like back and forth i've always wanted to do burgers and then i was like Maybe I'll do, like, ramen. I'm not sure. I love every type of food.
Starting point is 00:41:48 So it's hard to, like, yeah. And what do you think about restaurants that offer, like, different types of food? Do you think that means it's, like, not good? Do you know what I mean when a restaurant has, like, ramen, a burger? I don't mind that. Yeah. I don't mind that. Because there's something like, you're like, okay, that's weird.
Starting point is 00:42:04 They have both. But then you go and you're like, no, but they're both good. Yeah. So, wait, back to the tattoos, because I wanted to know which one is your favorite. What one is my favorite? from, I guess, let's do from the ones that you got for the misses. I love the vows. I love that.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Do you remember what they say? It's very long. It's like, it took like seven hours. It took like seven hours. It's that he was amazing. And I have a picture I can show you, but it's like, it's really cool. Yo, and you wrote them all by yourself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:35 And she wrote vows for you too. Yeah. That's so sweet. How was your wedding? Did you have fun or were you too nervous with like? It was amazing. Yeah, it was really cool. And also, you probably didn't do any of the planning.
Starting point is 00:42:46 I helped with a little bit. You did? Yeah, I did want to be involved, but, you know, it was mostly my wife. Did you eat anything at the wedding? I actually didn't, I don't think. Yeah, it's hard to eat at your own wedding. Yeah, I didn't really. And tell me about the proposal.
Starting point is 00:43:03 So it was in the countryside of New York, and it was at this little gazebo. And I took a, like, on this little golf cart ride. and then we walked up to the gazebo and I had candles and I had like a little thing caviar and wine and I hid the ring a few hours before like under this like bush and we were talking. You're not scared that someone was going to find it? No, I think it was fine. I think it was fine. Yeah, and then we were talking for a little bit and then I opened up the wine and I was so nervous and I like couldn't open it. Well, what kind of was it the restaurant wine opener?
Starting point is 00:43:39 It's hard to open. No, it was like an old school. Oh, an old school one. And I couldn't open it, but finally got it opened, and then had some wine, chatted, and then I got on one knee and I kind of reached behind and then, yeah. Did she know, or was it a complete surprise? So the ring, did she ever drop you hands, show you picks? Oh my God, she was just like crying so much.
Starting point is 00:43:59 It was amazing. But before, like, did you have an idea of, like, what kind of ring she wanted or no? Yeah. Oh, you knew? I had an idea. Yeah. How did you know? Just because she's always, like, shut, I mean, from when we first,
Starting point is 00:44:11 started dating. She always showed me. And I was like, oh, that's so pretty. But I didn't really like, when I, like, talk about it. Yeah. You wanted to be a surprise because you're such a romantic. And you guys really celebrate like anniversaries. You're big on anniversaries. Yeah, we celebrate our anniversary. We celebrate the day we met. So there's date, let's talk about the anniversary. The day you met on the day we kissed. Wow. June 23rd, when I was going to marry me and April 9th. The wedding date. So you have four anniversaries a year. Yeah. Are you going to keep it up, do you think? I mean, we don't, like, go, like, all out, like, every single time.
Starting point is 00:44:46 But I always, like, I always know the dates and I'm always, like, I either, like, cook dinner or take her for dinner. Are you more of the romantic in the relationship? Yeah. I think we both are. Yeah. She loves doing romantic things as well. But you, I mean, it's really instilled in you with all that. Like, I feel like most dudes are, like, they don't even know what day their anniversary is.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Yeah. And now, obviously, with the hot source now, like, on our dates, we do, like, this, we're obsessed with hot ones. and so we get like I make chicken wings and then we get like a few different hot sauces obviously mine is one of them and we kind of do that which is really fun that's so cute wait her birthday I saw is coming up
Starting point is 00:45:22 January January 30th right huh she's gonna be 30 yes she is though she's going to be 30 she's going to be 30 so are you are you planning it it's going to be a big birthday yeah I'm like still like trying to figure out what she wants to do and I was like it's totally up to you oh you're not you're not gonna surprise is she
Starting point is 00:45:41 into surprises? She is, but I think she wants to be in on it? Yeah. Like a big thing. Yeah. So do you have any ideas yet? I've asked her what she wants to do. And I'm like, do you want to travel somewhere?
Starting point is 00:45:53 Do you want to? And she's like, oh, I'm not sure yet. So you don't know. I think you should like plan a surprise party. Yeah. That would be fun. That would be fun. That would be fun.
Starting point is 00:46:02 So Halloween, you met on Halloween. It's coming up. Are you going to dress up? Yeah, we are. Do you have a couple costume? Yeah. Yes, I think we're going as Sunny and Cher. Oh, that's so cute.
Starting point is 00:46:16 That's going to be so good. Do you throw a Halloween party, or are you going to attend? I think we're just going to attend. That's fun. Well, awesome. Thank you so much for coming, Brooklyn. Cloud 23, exclusively at Whole Foods. So easy.
