No, my husband's is Weiss, which is so similar in like last name vibes. Hirsch Weiss, just the two most Jewish names out there. Yeah, very Jewish, but like the same amount a letter is kind of, I think. I didn't count. But, like, I just want to be like my kids, because then you go to the doctor. Yeah. No? Sarah? Well, does, how does your, Sarah doesn't have the same name as my kids? I, right. That's what I'm saying. So when you go, like, it's like, it's not a problem. Yeah. But did, does your husband care? Actually, he's such a, what's it called? Like, greedy motherfucker or something. That I was gonna, no, you're going to see why. Oh, he's like, it's not good for the brand. Right. Swear is, swears. I wanted to change it. Yeah, I wanted

to change it at some point, and I even got the, like, there's this thing that helps you, like, hitch. A hitch switch. I've used it. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's what I used. So, I got the packet and he was like, oh, no, no. Like, you can't do this. Put in the trash not good for the brand. Swear. Honestly, good for him. Yeah. He knows where his bread is butter. Yeah. So when people ask if he's supportive. Dang. He's a good teammate. And you know, Aaron, I've talked to you about him being, like, more on the protective side and like the gel. So it's sort of, with the greed goes above it. I love that. And I'm like, Haley Beaver, changed her name, but she changed it to Beaver.

Do you find... I mean, I'll change my name to Beaver. Yeah, like, she changed her from Baldwin to Beaver. Do we be Aaron and Amanda Bieber? Because I'm down. I always find that I forget people's... You know someone so well, and then you forget they're made in name. Yeah, I agree.

I always forget people's made a name. Like, Sophia Richie is Sophia Grange now, right? No. What, you fully leaned in to Grange for her? I mean, it's on her Instagram, isn't it? That's this bad example. Literally, I, by the way, anybody that changes in on Instagram, I ask them if they just changed it on Instagram or if they went through the paperwork,

most of them just changed on Instagram. By the way, going through the paperwork is very hard. Why? Which is why I think it's like lame to just change on Instagram. That doesn't mean anything. Yeah. Don't fake it. You know?

Anyway, you guys, Aaron and Sarah, well, Sarah, don't feel left out, but Aaron has kind of been like part of my life for a long time. Yeah, we're like friends. Oh, I've accepted it. It's okay. I dropped her off at your podcast. No, I know. And I was like, okay.

I was like, okay, kids, have fun. Wait, wait. Wait, wait, when Sarah, so was that like 2018 or 19? It was probably 2018. 2018, I was doing my pot out of my one-bedroom apartment kitchen. Erin was probably my first, like, celebrity. No need to hesitate before some celeb. I was trying to think of, like, big time.

Erin, I was so excited. The platter. You were so excited. She had snacks for me. Which makes no sense for a pod because, like, you're not supposed to eat. But, like, I've laid out snacks and, like, seltzers or something. Really cute. And Ariel was there.

Arielle was there. Sarah, did you drop her? off because of the elevator? No, we had lunch together before and then I said, I'm going to come do this. What were you going to do with the elevator? And she was like, I'll just walk you there. Erin and I also, we have the same fear of elevators. I don't talk about mine as openly as you do. Are you embarrassed? I honestly, it's the weirdest thing. Like, there's something about my claustrophobia is so real that I'm scared for like the masses to know about it. Because like, what if somebody ever wants to like lock me in somewhere? Like, that's what I think. Aaron, this is going to. This is going to

this goes deep. I know. It's like scares me. It's like very vulnerable for people to know how scared I am of bathroom. So people who are with me have like a code. Tell her what I did for. The bathroom thing. No, I'm not at all. Do you understand that she peed without the door closed on JetBlue on the way here? I stood at the door. I was like, let's just close. You don't have to lock it. Are you mad? I'm telling her she's looking at me like. No, it's fine. I posted that, Erin. One time I was in the bathroom and I locked the door and I was like, so proud of myself, I was like, so proud of myself, I used to not lock the door. And do you know how many people? were like, sames. Really? Yeah. It's not weird. Nobody wants to be locked in.

What, so Sarah, so she didn't lock on the job blue. So you stood there. Well, I didn't know what I was getting into because I don't remember this with you. I remember that you would close it all the way. Now she won't even close it all the way. So it was open enough to where if someone walked by, you fully see her like holding a giant. Yeah, I don't care either. She just didn't even care.

I would rather not get stuck somewhere. This morning, I was at the hotel. I was staying at Fouquet Hotel. Yeah. And by the way, Brad Pitt's citing there. Am I allowed to say that? Is that where he stays? I mean, this isn't come out later than the hiding.

Okay, great. But like, can you go stalk him or something? Yeah, I didn't see him with my own lives. Can you go stalk him? I mean, my sister Jordan. That's a little too far downtown for me. I stay on 77. I don't really go past 50th.

Anyway, what happened was this morning, I was like, how do I get down stairs? So I called down. I said, do you want sending someone up to help me with my bags downstairs? You lied? And so I'm up there waiting. The guy comes up with this, like, huge, you know, like, luggage cart thing. And he's like, walks past me. like, no, no, you're here for me. And he's like, no, no, 5.15. And I was like, yeah, that's me.

I'm just scared to take the elevator. He's like, oh, no problem. Wait, why wouldn't you plan it out better then? Stay with, where Sarah stays? Here's the thing. Oh, Sarah and I go to New York. We don't sit together on the airplane. We take two separate cars from the airport. By that, we take two separate flights usually, because you like to fly in Newark and I fly into JFK. And then we stay at separate hotels. It's not weird. It's like we hate each other. But why? Sarah likes to stay uptown. I like to stay downtown. We both like window seats if we're like sleeping on a flight so we don't want to be next to each other. And Sarah, you're weird about the planes. You talk to the pilot and stuff. I talked to pilots.

I tracked the flight the entire time. Which would make sense for you to be weird about planes. Like it's just- Not weird about planes. No, she's not worried about planes. I... You're like not scared of planes, even though claustrophobic, sorry to tell you. Are you scared on planes? Yeah. Sorry, windows and other people makes a difference for me. If I was being true to myself... The window. The window is going to help. I don't know. Just like wind. The other people do. Like, I always say this. I'll go up an elevator with a legit murderer. Like, you know, just like someone to be there. A baby, by the way, do you go up with Noah?

Oh, yeah, have you? I was in an elevator with her the other day in my building. And there was like a pause I didn't like. And I, and I, like, sunk to the floor and did my thing. And I was like, oh, God, Aaron, you cannot do this in front of your time. Right. They make you stronger. Not yet.

Oh, okay. But you did it. Were you just with her? Yeah. So you did it. Well, in my building, I do it because I've gotten used to that elevator. Oh, you do it by yourself, too? That's big.

It's big. I really don't like it. it. Yeah, it's about getting used to it. Anyway, so I do feel weirdly connected to Daryan. Like, we have this thing. We have a lot of similarities. We have a lot of similarities, not like all the other things you're into. You know, the other non-toxic stuff? Yeah, just being like non-toxic. No, you're super toxic. Like what toilet paper do you use? It's called plant paper. Oh, my. Hey, Ariel was asking me. She's like, I was like, do you know that we've been white, like we've been putting toxins in our butthole?

Yeah. You want to bleach your butt hole? change to non-toxic? A butthole toxic. I don't know. I like charmed. Like, what can I tell you? Yeah, I do too. I like regular toothpaste. Because she's not really on top of it. And I really need her to be. And I was like, yes, Josie, I will. Okay, but Aaron's like doing some weird shit on the side with my kid. She was going to show her the birthing video. You also were about to do something else weird with her. She wanted to show Josie my eight weird things. She wanted to show, no, no, she wanted to show my eight-year-old her home birth video. Like the really proud of it. The whole thing. I know you are. Amanda. She seriously is like, come on, Josie, I want to show it to you. You're making it to like I'm grooming her. Well, it's like

a horror movie. Did she want to see it? No, she was like that made me unfunfrey. Wouldn't be, did Valentina want to see it? No, definitely not. Guys, I can't get people to watch this video. Like, just go... But then when she explained it to me, that she's had so many years of, highs, I mean, very few highs, lows. She's like, I want to feel something positive. Yeah. I want to feel it. And so then I was like, okay, I won't shame. Yeah. And you don't, hashtag, no regrets, right? Honestly, I think there kind of is a medal. People are really impressed when you tell them. I know. I know, Eric. No, they're not. But like, it's, it hurt you so much more than it should have, probably. No, I, I, I, I think you did it for the black and white picks. Yeah,

by the way, some of those picks were insane that you posted. I was horrible. Wait, how was Simon okay with that. I don't, I have no idea. That's what I wonder with you, because we've talked about this more. I thought Simon was very like, this man girl. Like, he's like one of those, what's a name for it? Protroling. Chauvinistic. No, no. What is, no. What is, no, what is you mean like protective? Yeah. Like those men that don't, like, want their women to be a little bit like, you know, that they're a little jealous. Yeah. Oh, thanks. Yeah. Your eyes are like popping out. Poppin. Okay, so I want to go back to the connections. So first follow, first big pod, I came to your bumble event. I don't know if you remember with Whitney. With Whitney.

That was a huge, like, wasn't that like one of your first moment? No, that's when she said to us, I want to work with you guys. Whitney, the CEO of Bomba, the founder, yeah. This was 2017. And I remember coming, I, like, made the effort. I didn't go to, like, anywhere then. It was before, you know, it grew into what it is today. But I was like, okay, I'm going to go because, like, I wanted to support, blah, blah, blah.

And I came. And then when I was reading about it, like, that was your first kind of step into the business world. After that, and we had vibed so well with Whitney that she was like, I want to give you guys a job. And we're like, great. And you became chief creative. No, creative directors. They made you chiefs.

You became founders? Not of Bumble, though. She was launching Bumble biz and BFF. Right. Two arms of the, you know. Yeah. And so she was like, you guys are at this interesting intersection. I feel like you can educate, you know, the customer, the audience on how, on, you know,

normalizing meeting a friend. Yeah. Online. Yeah. It was up to us to come up with creative strategies and how to. And that was the first job that you had that was like business in the business. I mean, no, no, no, that was just a panel we did with her. And because of that panel, then she was like, let's work together. And then from Bumble, you've leaned into the entire

business world. Yeah. Yeah. That was definitely our first. That's wild. That was an incredible entry point for us. So then you invested in it? Or what happened? No, no, no. We got equity in Bumble. Oh, right. But they didn't need our money as investors. And then you were like, we want to start investing in brands. Well, once we went, since Bumble ended up having a big exit. And, and then From that, we'd gotten an opportunity to invest in the mirror. Oh, right. Yeah, mirror. I remember Sarah doing it.

Yeah. Right. Well, by the way, that's exactly it. I mean, we sort of started becoming these people that would get associated with, oh, you're launching a business. There's a little component to it where you need some educating. Like, call the fosters. Like, they're really good at this.

So we started sort of gaining this reputation as helping brands. The point is that we had opportunities to invest in things. But we weren't, you know, how much of your own personal money at this point in your life. Can you really give? Yeah. And we don't want to be writing checks from our own personal money. So then we started a fund so we could invest in those companies without, you know. The fund means that other people invest into the funds. It's much more fun to invest with other people's money than your own money. How did you know even how to like do this? Well, it's like a process. Well, and also we paired, we partnered with a guy named Phil Schwartz.

but you didn't realize like how big of a deal was to me and how I stayed up for two nights thinking about it, about the girl who died. Oh, I didn't know you're going to bring this up. Why can't I? No, I mean, you can. Sarah knows who you're talking about. She doesn't know yet. But that was another point of like, like, that it was just so weird.

So I, sometimes I scroll through my message. Do you guys look at your DMs? Yeah. I like, like, it's such a nice pastime for me. Yeah. I'll just like, scroll, look, open something randomly. Sometimes you'll see something. You're like, damn, if I would have missed that, that would have been weird.

Yep. But I'm sure you miss like so many things. Of course. This girl wrote to me that she was wearing one of my merch hat. Somebody came up to her, asked her what it is, because she doesn't know. She told her that girl ended up being the girl that connected this, the girl that was wearing my hat.

And her, her, what's it called? Sister-in-law? No, it's it called. Sister-in-law. Yeah. Guys, I don't know who you're talking about. Her sister-in-law died. And her sister-in-law was a huge fan of errands.

And my-oh, you mean the girl whose funeral you went to? Yeah. So her sister-in-law was wearing the hat and the girl who died bought it for her. Oh, my God. She was a follower of mine and a fan of Aaron's. Yeah. And kind of offended. She asked Aaron for a video.

I thought you too. Maybe I didn't see it. No, because I opened her messages. That's why I couldn't sleep because I opened my messages with her and just saw years where she wrote me and I was broken that I didn't see it. And it was just wild to me because in this whole story that at first I was just wanted to say, sorry. Then I read it again. I realized like, you're in the story. And I was like, how was Aaron like looped into this?

No, I had, I mean, we shouldn't say her name probably, right? But I had, it's the, it's the strangest thing. Like a friend of ours, Jenny, who listens to her podcast all the time. Jenny, she reached out and said, would you ever make a video for this person? And I told me her situation, she was dying of cancer and she has two small little kids. And I was like, well, why don't I FaceTime with her? So I did a FaceTime. And there's just something like I felt really connected to her.

I felt like a connection like I would like to spend time with this person. Like I wanted to be friends with her. And I became so invested in what was going to have. happened. And I was checking in with her and she was updating me and saying, you know, oh, I had a good day and things are doing really well. And then I got a text from her, but it was her husband saying, I'm so sorry, but she passed away yesterday. I lost my shit. And I had never met her in person. But I felt so like, I don't know, there's something, I don't know, like, universe, like connected us. She also seemed super positive. Like,

she was. She was a really impressive person. I didn't even know how impressive until I went to her funeral and learn more about her. That's so kind of you that you went. I honestly was honored to be there and it was really cool for her friends to like see me there and me see them there and us all like connect over it and I don't know. And then I got well now I am upset. Remember you

asked if I was up? Now I am. And this is devastating this story. But it was just wild like the connection that I opened for messages, couldn't sleep because I was up feeding Lenny and I was like, oh my God, I missed all these messages. And I went back and like I kept on asking the sister in-law questions, but she just wanted to tell me

a sweet story. And here I am being like, when did this happen? When was she diagnosed, like, pulling her into this upsetting convo? But yeah, but it really freaked me out not to project it onto myself, but she but she was writing to me about my stomach issues because I complained about, like, tummy. Oh, that's the other thing we have a connection about. Right.

So she was like writing to me in like December, she passed, she was diagnosed in March, 23, in December 22, she was DMing me like, oh, mama, like I have the same stomach stuff. like here's a salivara to take, here's this, this, this, oh, mama, it's the stress, like sending all these nice things, sending all these tips. And then, meanwhile, she thinks she has this

fucking whatever I, you know, was dealing with gastritis and thencebo, whatever. And she ended up having. Was it stomach cancer? Pincreata cancer. That's what she had? Yeah, that's the deadly one. And that's the one you don't want. And that's the one you don't want. So I'm like, December, she's writing to me about this. March, she's diagnosed August she passed away. So chilling to the bone, but like, opened her messages and it. it really touched me. And then you bought your way

into that story as well. I really did. And we both have stomach issues. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that was a funny part of the show. Anyway,

we'll get to the show. Yeah, just wild. Oh, I'm obsessed with the show, you guys. Nobody wants this. I can't leave

you already watched it. You saw all 10 episodes? No, I, I'm so sad I watched it because I want to save it forever. You saw all 10? No, I saw like,

four or five. It goes so fast. It goes too fast. I'm already thinking, you guys want to hear a wild I am. Yeah. I'm like,

so it's considered a comedy, right? Like, it's going to go up against the bear. Oh, like, you think you're going to get nominated? Yeah, I do. Amanda. Yeah. That's, and it's annoying me that the bear is the comedy fucking thing. But the bear is not a comedy.

Why is it in a comedy category? You should know this as TV people. It's because it's 25 minutes, no? But the bear's also had its time. Like, I think the Emmy's like to spread it out. And the Emmys, you know, that's so cool that you think that we got, we're going on it. I think it's so fucking. good. And I'm like, again, it just felt because I watched like, I couldn't stop. I watched like

four in a row. It felt like a movie that I don't want to end. Tell me things you like about it. So I was just going to say the joke. Wait, what were we just talking about? That stomach issues? Right. That she comes, that Joanne comes in and she's not Jewish. And the girl's like, what's it like to not have stomach issues? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Leslie Grossman. She plays a female rabbit. Oh, I love that. Yes. Anyway, nobody wants us is Sarah and Aaron's new show. I mean, Aaron Created the show. I'm a producer on the show, but Aaron created the show and wrote the show. And she includes, like, she includes you and everything. Okay. But it wasn't so much like that. Oh. We, the big, I was there from the beginning and all of that. But no, I mean, she's the creator of the show. She, like, because it's your story more or less. Yeah. Right. Like what changes.

No. So the starting point was that when I was converting, I was telling our manager and producing partner, Ollie Ops, about how interesting the conversion process was. And I had just started. And he was like, should we do a documentary? about you converting. It's so interesting. And I was like, I don't think so. And then one of us,

I don't know who was. We said, like, what if it was a scripted show? And he's like, what if we call it Shiksa? And it just like, it just like popped. Wow. And so we sold the idea to 20th. The idea. At that point, was it like a rabbi and a... It was not a rabbi yet. It was just kind of based in our, like, how different... Was he like a club promoter or something? He was... I don't think so. Are you sure? I think that was in one of the early iteration. I don't remember that. Yes. I remember you... Really? I remember we sitting around and you were like,

is it like a Scott Dissick type? I mean, we really had those conversations. Wait, that's so weird because I mean, whatever. I don't remember that, but it was... So basically we... I started writing the idea because sometimes you sell an idea to a studio and they will pay you to write it if you sell the show to a network.

So sometimes you sell the pitch and then you write it or sometimes you write the pilot and then sell the pilot. and then sell the pilot. Yeah. But we pitched it as not a pilot. Just as an idea. 2.20. But I'm saying that then I wrote the pilot in COVID

and then that's what we sold to Netflix. Yeah, yeah. So I wrote the pilot in COVID and it was, I had a really hard time writing it. Like you by yourself and like Sarah and the... No, no, I don't write. Oh, okay. No, but with the producers, we...

And there was a point kind of early on when we were trying to figure out what the conflicts were on the show. And it just was like not... there wasn't enough there. And one of our producers said, hear me out. What if he's like a young, cute rabbi?

And at first I was like, no, that's insane. That doesn't make any sense. And then I thought about it. I was like, you know what? I think that's like the stakes that we need to give this a little bit more grit. Yeah.

And so... That makes sense. Then it all started to flow a lot easier. Oh, when there was that big... Yeah. Like he's not just Jewish. Yeah, because I think... You need so much to sustain a season

and to sustain... Two seasons, three seasons. And you don't want their only obstacles to be about his religion, but if he's a rabbi, it's like his whole life. Yeah. And Aaron, this is what you want to be doing. Yeah. Right?

And Sarah? Listen, I mean, I think that from, you know, when you look at our career, you look at the things that we have going on, I think. A lot. A lot. And I think this is where Aaron feels the most fulfilled doing this. True.

No, it's, in ways that, she is Sarah. God's on every single level. Do you think you're going to be a different parent than Sarah? Like, you, how are you similar to her? But by the way, how cute that our kids have the same name. I know. Oh, important that the rabbi is named Noah. Like I, it made me so happy about naming my son Noah because I realized how good it sounds. Oh, like an adult man. Yes. Sounds good. that's hot, but it just sounded so good.

First of all, it's important for you to realize that your son can be like a hot man. I mean, that's a good thing. I'm just scared of the people. By the way, Lenny's hot. Yeah, Lenny's a hot name. I think they say, is that true Sarah's second. kids are, like, more advanced in the first... I don't know.

My second kid is, like, it's different parents. Like, I do think we maybe need to do a DNA test. Why? So different. Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Two... They're from different planets.

And Valentina is not. They're both special in really different ways. Yeah. really different. They're not like you and me. They're both amazing. They're both amazing. They're just different.

Is she still as good as an on as she was before? Honestly, totally. Really? Yeah, totally. That's really impressive. Which is shocking because I would always say, I'm like, once you have your baby, your nieces and nephews, it's going to be a whole, completely. Josie.

Yeah. I was, honestly, I was scared that my feelings were going to change. Yeah. That would make, honestly, would make sense. Yeah, because they were like my kids and everyone kept going, you're going to love your child. It's going to be so different. You see Josie almost more now.

different in the sense that it's your baby. But, like, I, my desire to be close to Josie, I'd say that only because Josie's only one who's like, you know, comes and hangs over. Yeah.
