Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. Welcome back to the not skinny but not fat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I still can't believe that I get to chat with some of my favorite stars from my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room. As we all know, Summerhouse's Lindsay Hubbard, aka Hubhouse, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Gemma,
Starting point is 00:00:37 about one month ago. So she's postpartum mama. And she's on today to tell her birth story. And obviously we talk about Summer House, this season that's coming out, what's going to happen with next season's filming, her boyfriend whose name, we haven't spoken yet.
Starting point is 00:00:55 But believe me, I made her speak it today. and thoughts about the page and Craig breakup. I wanted to know every single moment of her birth story because I love birth stories. I love hearing about them. I know you guys love hearing about them. Everyone has been interested to hear Lindsay's. So enjoy our conversation.
Starting point is 00:01:14 You look amazing. The hair is good. I love this new studio. It's so nice. Is there a camera in the tree? I feel like we're on Summer House. How did you get? I feel like we're on Summer House.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Oh my God. We need to talk about that too. But most importantly, you guys, Lindsay Hubbard is here. Everyone was so excited when she announced one day. She was like, it's confirmed. I'm going on skinny enough fat. We're doing a birth pot. I'm like, we're doing a birth pod. I couldn't help it. I was like, you know, everyone was asking me a lot of questions. And I was trying to figure out like, how am I going to talk about this journey? And so I texted you and I was like, I got to come on. We got to figure this out. We got to talk about this. First of all, I'm honored. And then I like definitely lit the fire in my eyes. I love it. You're such a PR girl. I'm obsessed. Like it was during Christmas and we were trying to figure out when we were going to do it. And then Lindsay like made the same and I was like, we're in it. Yeah. And then the press picked it up and I was like, we're definitely in it. Now I'm holding you to the fire. No, but I love a birth story. People love a birth story. Everyone's obviously dying to know yours. And I even know about myself like I have like friends who have podcasts. I won't really listen. And then they're doing their birth story. I'm like, I'm listening.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Like, you want to know. Yeah. It's something that people just are dying to know every step of the way. And obviously with you, like, you kept a lot of mysterious. You're also sharing a lot now. So we need to like fill in the blanks. I know, I know. Let me tell you what people are the most interested in.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Okay, yeah. Can you tell me because I never can gauge whether people are like interested or not. When you, when I posted that, people were like, Amanda, like shaking. People were like, you made it. They told me. What? Swear. You were like a Kardashian at one point.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Well, babe. Hello. And it's like my birth story. Your birth story. The world is dying. It's like, fuck my God. Justin Valdoni. Like, we,
Starting point is 00:03:10 they need to know. Oh my God. But it was so nice. I know. I have so many questions about the world at the moment. But look at her. Everyone take a fucking look. Look at excuse the docketa.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Look at this mama. You look amazing. I'm working on it. Oh, okay. Wait. You were, you were finishing your, sentence about what people were the most excited about
Starting point is 00:03:31 besides... I don't know if you're going to be happy about it though. The boyfriend. Dying. Salivating. Oh, what are they wanting to know? They want to know. About what?
Starting point is 00:03:40 About the boyfriend. Oh, okay. You don't feel this? Like, I just had a baby and they want to know about the boyfriend. Well, first about the boyfriend. Oh, my God. Like, we have to backtrack.
Starting point is 00:03:48 We have to rewind. Okay. Because you, first of all... Okay. I'll talk to you about anything and everything. First of all, Paige predicted your life. Yeah. I also did. It was like episode two of last season and Carl and I were on the basketball court and I was like, who knows where I'll be next summer? I could be pregnant. And then- I didn't you make that a montage yet? Like a thing. I thought about it or make it a TikTok. But then I got pregnant and I was like, oh my God, I'm pregnant. We got to figure this out. No, but Paige also did. Yes, of course. She she did. And she has been like the most, you know, texting me all.
Starting point is 00:04:27 the time out of all the girls. Wow. She's like, how's it going, thinking about you? What's going on? That's so cute. Yeah. It's been really nice. They rallied around you in this pregnancy.
Starting point is 00:04:36 They really did. It was like a pregnancy that we all shared, which was so fun and so nice. Wait, we have to really backtrack. I know. We're all over the place. You guys get ready. I'm scattered. Buckle up.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Let's go back to May 2024. May of 2024. You were in a denna. outfit. You were on my pod. Oh my God. Yes. I was here. How how pregnant were you? By May, I was eight weeks pregnant. It was, oh yeah, because it was right before we, I came in here a week before we filmed the reunion, I think. No, we did the reunion May 3rd. So maybe it was a week after we taped the reunion. Anyways, it was right around the reunion taping. And you were eight weeks pregnant. So how long did you know for, four weeks? I found out at five weeks pregnant. Long story short,
Starting point is 00:05:27 I'm not on birth control. I'm just, it's never worked for me. The two times in my past lives that I've been on birth control, I've broken up with boyfriends because it's just made me fucking nuts. So it's just not my thing. It doesn't work well with my body. So pull out. Pull out.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Yeah. And we had the conversation, me and my boyfriend, you know, like I'm not in birth control. Like we should just be a little careful, whatever. I had that conversation in, like, February. So when did you start dating? We started, our first date was like January, mid-January. So a year now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:07 You're celebrating a year. Yeah, we are. And a month old baby. Yes. Okay. Yeah. No, I know. I move quick.
Starting point is 00:06:14 So you had the conversation in Feb. So we had the conversation in Feb. By March, I was pregnant, but I had no idea. And by April, I found out. And I had been five weeks pregnant when I found out. So I find out. Cray. I was supposed to like get my period on a Monday and it doesn't come. And next thing you know, like a week goes by. And I'm like, this is kind of weird. You know, I have a pretty consistent period, you know, cycle. And I, it's been a week. So I start ordering tests on Amazon because. God forbid she goes to the store. No, God forbid. Oh, you were scared to go that someone would see you? Of course. Oh, okay. Are you kidding? And like every time I've ever in the past, like maybe gotten a pregnancy test. from CVS. They put it at the top of the bag. They like leave it out on the counter. And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:07:00 can you please just hide that? Oh my God. I'm on Amazon ordering test a week, you know, after I was supposed to get my period in like March. And they finally come after a week. I'm like, okay, something's kind of up. Like this is starting to feel like maybe I need to like check this out. And I took a test the Wednesday like, you know, two days after they came and found out I was pregnant, which that day was like April 3rd. What was your, what, what did you feel in that moment? Oh, shit. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Like, I just started dating my boyfriend and was like, ah, God. Like, we have only been dating for a couple of months and now I'm pregnant. Like, that's obviously an oh shit moment where. Did you call him first? No. Would you call? I called my OB's office and was like, I'm literally coming in. I'm like, I'm coming in. I'm taking a blood test. I'm pregnant. I took a test at home and I need you to give me a blood test. I need to confirm this. And they're like, okay, yeah, just come at eight weeks. And I was like, no, no, I'm coming today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Make room in the schedule. Like, you don't have to see your OB. You don't have to, you know, I just need the blood. Yeah, you want to know for sure. The blood test. So I went in, took the blood test. And the next day was on my way to Mexico, April 4th of last of last year, 2024. It was on my way to Mexico to my best friend's wife.
Starting point is 00:08:25 studying. Still didn't tell. No, because they just needed that confirmation. Oh, you said, okay, didn't go to the OB yet, went to Mexico without. No, I went to the OB. Oh, she didn't give me the result yet. No, but I got them on the plane to Mexico. Like, the email came through and it confirmed five weeks. So the fact that you found out of five weeks is like, is like, well, I think like as women, like we know our bodies. Most like, I think that because I'm like you, I have a very period. So the minute I'm a daily. So the minute I'm a daily. late. I'm like, hmm, okay, this is weird. Oh, and I'll be like, oh, you flew last week. Maybe the jet lag. Not everybody has a regular period so they can find out later. Right. But with you, you knew it the day after. Because like, I have a pretty consistent cycle. So for me, I was like, well, this is kind of weird, but I got my period last month a little early or late. So maybe my schedule, you know, my cycle is just trying to like catch up with this new schedule. I was justifying it in my head, obviously.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Okay, so you go to Mexico, you find out on the plane, or you buy yourself on the plane? Yeah. What did you do? And then at that point, you don't call your boyfriend. This is not a phone call. This is not a text message. She's your boyfriend of two months. Like, or the guy you've not even like-
Starting point is 00:09:39 Are you calling him your boyfriend at that point? Do you remember? Yeah, we were calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend at that point, but we had only been, like, dating for two months. Yeah. So, yeah, I think at that point, we'd been calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend for like a month. We were a month into exclusivity.
Starting point is 00:09:55 So you're going to this wedding that you thought you would maybe party at. Yeah, my best friend. My best friend's wedding. Oh, my God. Did you tell her when you got there? Not when I got there. I told a different best friend because I was like, I need your help through this weekend. Like, everyone's going to be expecting me to, you know, be drinking and staying up late.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And especially my best friend who's getting married, I wound up telling. Do not want to, like, steal her thunder or like. No way. So, but you had to tell her. Yeah. Like I wound up seeing her that next day. I mean, I saw her that night, but the next day, it was just the two of us. And I had a beer in my hand, which was a non-alcoholic beer.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And she was like, can I have a sip of your beer? It was the most random encounter. And, like, she's about to get married the next day. And she's asking me for my beer. And I was like, yeah, sure, here. But it's non-alcoholic. And she's like, oh, did you rage? Like, did you?
Starting point is 00:10:50 And then she looked at me and she was like, are you? And I was like, yes, I am. And I was like, but we'll talk about this on Monday. This weekend is about you. And like, I'm here for you. Just don't worry about this. Yeah. And she's like, congrats?
Starting point is 00:11:06 I was like, that's the exact way to ask that. Because we don't really know. Is it a congrats? Were you processing at that point? Or were you like, I'm just going to put it in the back burner right now? No, I was like, I don't know. I think I was in survival mode of like get through the weekend. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And make sure no one. questions like my behavior of not drinking and I'm like sneaking like since when am I like this big beer drinker and I'm drinking all these non-alcoholic beers like every I'm like yeah I'm in a beer mood yeah oh god you were feeling fine because at that point I was terrified oh yeah I was feeling fine physically yeah so at what point do you tell him I was terrified that weekend because in my mind, I was like, we have such a beautiful relationship and this is going to like, whoa, this is going to rock everything. And I don't know how he's going to react. And I don't know what's going to happen. Have you had the kid conversation yet in general? Yeah. We had just gone to Anguila
Starting point is 00:12:08 and like randomly started talking about like, okay, do you want kids? And I had already been pregnant by the time that we were on our first vacation in Anguila, and I had no idea. It was wild. So, yeah, like, he, he wanted, he wanted kids. But that wasn't at the time. Yeah, it wasn't at that timeline. Yeah, no, certainly not. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Wait, so what? So when did you tell him? I got back from Mexico, super late on that Sunday night. And I think I, like, got home, showered immediately, like, got into bed. he had went he went to my apartment just like to be there for when I got home and I crawled into bed with him and he was like in which I knew this is going to happen he was like did you get your period why did he ask that oh because you told it did you tell him that it was late yeah oh first question did you get your period this like one 15 in the morning yeah I'm like no I didn't and he was
Starting point is 00:13:14 like, okay, well, you know, nothing's confirmed yet. And I was like, uh-huh, yep, it is actually confirmed. And we are pregnant. And this is like the wild, like, who has this conversation? Like, I couldn't lie to him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I couldn't text him or call him while I was in Mexico. Yeah. This had to be in person. Wait, did he like turn on the night light at that point? Like, what happened? I think he, I think he, yeah, probably held his breath. for a little while and then was just like, uh, and I was like, yeah, we should talk about this. Yeah. Which we didn't really talk too much that night.
Starting point is 00:13:53 We talked to the remaining like that next, that whole next week, like every day trying to figure out. Figure it out. And I had like a few days on him to process while I was in Mexico. So we just, you know, talk through a bunch of things. And like, immediately I was like, look, I am not looking for a proposal. I'm not looking to get married. It is actually the last thing on my mind.
Starting point is 00:14:17 And I was like, I'm not looking to move in together either. Like, we can figure that out. I just wanted to take everything off the table so that he... Doesn't have, like, another layers of things to freak him out. Yeah, that's like way too much. Yeah. Like, this is a lot of pressure. How old is he?
Starting point is 00:14:35 He's two years younger than me. So he's 36 at this point. But at that point in April, He was 35 and I was 37. Oh, God. But you've wanted a baby for such a long time. Yeah. Like, we know you've wanted a baby for such a long time.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Yeah. I just think motherhood. Obviously, you weren't expecting it this way, but. Yeah. Were you wanting his reaction to be like more excited? Were you wanted your reaction to be more excited? I mean, listen, like the hope and dream and goal in life is that it all, all happens in this like beautiful, perfect traditional, you know, way, but that's just not
Starting point is 00:15:18 what my life is. It also rarely is the, like, even, I feel like what you see in the movies of like, you know, it's just usually you're like, miss your period. You get a pregnancy. You're like, oh my, usually you're like, oh, yeah, even if you wanted it. I know when I took mine, I was like, oh, damn. Like, you realize like the thing that you thought you wanted or wanted is now for realsies. Yeah. And it's like, wait, oh, my God, that's crazy. You're just like, this is fucking crazy. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:47 And like, this is what I wanted my whole entire life. And now this is how it's happening. And this is not how I pictured it happening. But this is what we're, what we're doing now. Did you tell him, like, in the movies, like, you can choose how you'll be involved, like, that kind of thing? Yeah, I actually did. Yeah. I did.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I don't, do you think I took inspiration from the movies? I just think, like, how many movies have we seen where that is the conversation of like, I don't. like you can yeah i gave him like every out possible and he looked at me and he was like no like i want to do this and we're going to do this together and he's like i love you and we're going to do this together and i was like okay we'll be right back after the break it is 2025 and if you've made any personal resolutions or goals for this year then i salute you good luck with those i hope you stick with those a lot of people you know a lot of people's resolutions is to maybe stop drinking alcohol or you know just lessen the amount of alcohol that they drink so i'm here to give you a

And we're back. You said you've dated before on the, when we potted last year. Yeah. Or not last year, May, whatever that is. You said that you knew him earlier in life.
Starting point is 00:20:50 So we had dated at the end of 2020. Stravy and I had broken up. I broke up with Stravy in October. And my girlfriend, Jacqueline, from season one, was like, I'm taking you out. We need to go, you know, get you back out there. And I was like, ugh, whatever, fine. And she had a friend who brought my boyfriend, Jacqueline brought me. And so we met at the end of 2020, like October, November, went on three or four dates. And then he broke things off with me because he just wasn't in a place to be in a relationship and didn't want to
Starting point is 00:21:26 waste my time. It was very, very respectful. And then he reached back out in December of 2023, started dating in January, 2024, wound up pregnant by March and found out in April. Okay. So we need to give a moment to the wild timeline. So then May 2024, Lindsay comes on my podcast. And at that point, I swear to God, I told you this and I texted do this. All I knew was TikTok was like, which how do they know? I don't know. It really upsets me. Someone on Summer House is pregnant Who could it be? Who could it be?
Starting point is 00:22:01 That's what I had heard. I was deflecting to Amanda. I was like, yeah. Everyone always thinks Amanda's pregnant. You're like, I didn't say Amanda. Yeah, I was like, I swear on my life, you guys, if I even had thought it was you and you were so early, I would never even have, that's why I was like, you guys, I would never.
Starting point is 00:22:20 This was just a rumor. It could have been like randomly Sierra. Like, I don't fucking know. There was a rumor somebody. Why would I think it would be you when you and Carl, had just like broken up like that wasn't even and I was like what do you think I was trying to get tea out of you about somebody else and you were like I don't know like that's crazy not me and I was like I didn't say it was you and you're like yeah blah blah and then when the the the the it came out
Starting point is 00:22:42 that you were pregnant and you confirmed it I was like oh my god and trying to realize if you were pregnant then and then people thought were getting mad at me like oh my god you thought it was her and I was like I would have never in my life pressured somebody to admit an early Like, trying to get you to be like, it is me, you got, and get the tea and get the headline. Like, so far, that's why I would text and I was like, just, you know, I hope you know that I had no idea the rumors were about you. Only later, Dorinda and traders. Oh, my God. So Durinda flew it up for you.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Like, yes and no. So there was like a different, I had heard a couple of things that Durinda had said. So here's what happened with Durinda. Number one, Margaret Joseph's held a Cinco de Mayo real housewives of New Jersey premier party at her house. So that's around like May 5th. You went? No, I didn't go. Oh.
Starting point is 00:23:42 But I had friends that went. And apparently Dorenda was really, really drunk at this party and was going around. Okay. Now, I don't speak to Dorenda. We have always been very friendly when we have run into each other. Like, I actually, you know, really have enjoyed my interactions with Dorenda in the past. And so this is around Cinco de Mayo, Margaret Joseph's house. I'm not there.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I have friends there. And Durenda is drunk going around telling everyone that I'm pregnant, but unfortunately, I lost the baby and I had a miscarriage. That's what she's going around drunkenly saying at Margaret's house. And it's getting back to me from multiple people. then the rumors are coming out about traitors and you know they announced the cast of traders blah blah blah and then this big rumor comes out about how derinda had such a problem that she found out I was pregnant but I shouldn't be able to compete now I have a problem with this because
Starting point is 00:24:42 why I'm not affecting you okay now yes is it hard to compete on traders when you're pregnant because it's like, you know, physically and mentally just a lot on your body. And also you're in isolation and you can't talk to anyone. Right. You're in Scotland. Yeah. Of course. Like, should I be on traders while pregnant?
Starting point is 00:25:06 Probably not. And why also are you getting drunk and running around a party and talking about like how I had a miscarriage when I didn't? Yeah. Especially because I've already had a miscarriage in my life. Maybe she was confusing. Maybe she was, like, drunkenly. I've never spoken to Durinda about any of this.
Starting point is 00:25:25 But why did she care about your situation? I don't know. Like, this is not, I don't know. Was that so random to you? It was so random to me. Like, DeRinda. That's why, by the way. And I bit my tongue.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Like, I haven't spoken ever about this. Like, I've never had this conversation with anybody. Like, I've been asked before. I mean, here's your. You've made it. You've made it, Amanda. I made it. No, but this is my problem.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I'm wrong a lot, you guys. And I admit when I'm wrong, the reason I'm wrong is because I'm naive and I like to believe in, like, positive things and good people that wouldn't do that. So when the rumors then started happening about Derinda, it was too crazy for me.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I'm like, you guys are losing it. You really think Derinda, like, I believe it. Okay, I'm sorry. Here's the thing. Where there's smoke, there's fire. How did Derinda's name get looped into my rumors about being pregnant. And if that's not the case,
Starting point is 00:26:22 like, if, if, if Dorenda's name is getting looped into me being pregnant, there's something there. Yeah. Yeah. Like, what does she go? Why is she talking about this so much? She has my phone number and she,
Starting point is 00:26:35 I heard she wanted to call me and then she never called me. To apologize, do you think? Yeah. Because as she should. She got your pregnancy leaked. Yeah. But, but everyone was blaming everyone for this leak.
Starting point is 00:26:47 And, like, I was desperately trying to figure out, like, how long would you have wanted to? Like, talking about hair and makeup people. Yeah. Like, I was questioning legitimately everyone. It was, it was, it was a really brutal time. Wait, if the rumor started, because, okay, you were on my podcast in May, at that point, you were, you said, how many weeks? Like eight.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Like eight. I was five weeks pregnant and I found out, like, at the beginning of April. Oh, no, I must have been like 10 weeks. pregnant by the time I came to you. So, but you're saying by 10 weeks the, I mean, you're not saying by 10 weeks we knew someone in Summerhouse. That's how it started. Then probably two weeks later, your name was looped in. So that is so early for people to know. Yeah. No, for sure. People don't, by the way, if you haven't, you don't have knowledge about this. Usually when you're pregnant, the kind of rule is to share after your first
Starting point is 00:27:44 trimester, just because the first trimester is so delicate. You have a higher risk of miscarriage. You have to get through your genetic screening to make sure that there's no chromosomal abnormalities with your baby. So this is not a time that you want the world to fucking know. No. And also, I've had a miscarriage before. So for me, I'm like terrified.
Starting point is 00:28:08 I, you know, is this one going to be viable? Is this pregnancy viable? Like what's going to happen? if, okay, like I get to that milestone of, you know, 12 weeks first trimester, but then I take the genetic testing. And what if the genetic testing comes back where, you know, there's some abnormality. And what if, you know, I'm not able to continue this pregnancy? Because, you know, for whatever reason, I mean, there's like a million different like tests that we have to go through in that first trimester. And you just thank God every day to get to the next week and to get to the next week.
Starting point is 00:28:48 So what's what's happening? The world is spinning. Ticktocks for Ticktucking. What are you feeling? I was honestly kind of depressed in that first trimester because I couldn't share my excitement with anyone. I didn't know who to trust. I'm like, you know, pushing all my friends away because the rumors are swirling and it's coming from. somebody who's close within, you know, my, my personal crew. And, you know, I just, I couldn't, I don't know. I was still trying to figure out, like, how this is going to work with my boyfriend. And, you know, I'm walking into filming. And I, you know, I need to figure out how to announce this to the world, but also, like, I'm walking into filming, you know, and how do I manage that? I was at a point
Starting point is 00:29:41 where I was starting to show and I just could not hide it anymore. Like physically, I had a belly. And if you remember, like, I lost a bunch of weight after Carl and I broke up. Oh, yeah. So I was very thin. When you came to me in May,
Starting point is 00:29:54 I remember being like, we, the episode we did in May of last year was like post breakup, Woodwood, like you were, you were, you know. Yeah. And I remember even saying like, so, you know, me getting pregnant,
Starting point is 00:30:09 like I was starting to show. By 4th of July and filming starting, I was like, oh, God, like, I, people are going to ask, you know, I can't walk into the house and not have a glass of rosé. People are going to be like, what's going on? So did you tell them before? Did you end up telling them upon arrival? Pretty much upon arrival. Like, I couldn't, I couldn't, I couldn't.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I mean, how far could I go without? No, you could. But how did you hide it then from the public? When did you end up telling the world? The same day. I told my castmates and then I told the world. Yeah, literally I had the post ready to go. Why did you decide to wait then well into your first second trimester?
Starting point is 00:30:50 I was trying to go as far and as long as I could possibly go. Why? Just because I don't know. I just needed, I just wanted to push it. Was any part of you during the rumors wanting to be like, fuck it? Like, I'll just confirm. I wanted to. But I also like.
Starting point is 00:31:10 let's let's be honest like I have a job to do I'm a reality TV personality like I owe it to summer house and to the fans who watch it to give them I owe it to summer house to give them that exclusive and nobody else wow I've been here for nine seasons yeah you know like I imagine you had to wait until the the season came out all of a sudden you're like with a baby now you're confirming that you were pregnant they like they've given up on you know it's not like the bachelor like that. But yeah. And also, I mean, I've shared a house with some of these people for like Kyle and Amanda for nine years. Carl was not there during my announcement. Did he congratulate you? He did. He, by the way, which I think I texted you this.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I'm like, I don't even know what you're about to say right now. I texted you this. Which, about what? What did you text me about? That when you were pregnant and still not Confirm. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. He said it. He told somebody. He repeated the rumor.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Yeah. No, he confirmed the rumor. Yeah. But he was like, yeah, she's pregnant. Right. Like, probably by like his like, like, his life. Because it all happened on the same day. Like, I confirmed to my castmates and then posted within minutes.
Starting point is 00:32:29 You know, probably everyone was doing their own like due diligence, digging, talking to people. Well, that's really sad for him. For sure. Probably focus on himself. But he prays for me. Wait, is that what he said? In the trailer, did he? He was like, I pray for you.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I was like, what? I don't need your prayers. Yeah. Oh, my God. So wait, how was it filming pregnant? How were you feeling, by the way? Did you have first trimester sickness? Like, how did you handle like those parties, like all the fucking parties?
Starting point is 00:33:01 I had a lot of fun. Oh, my God. Really? Yeah, I was like really giggly and happy and. Just like a jokester. For whatever reason in my second trimester, I was like, I was just like trolling all the guys in the house because they need to be trolled. And I was just giggling at everything. Everyone was funny to me. I was like. Oh, I heard someone. Someone said like no one's going to fight with a pregnant person. Well, yeah. Like how can you? Like so like. So you were probably having just like just fun. Yeah. I was having a great time. Yeah. Like it was probably like the most. was in the house. Yeah, so what? Not awkward?
Starting point is 00:33:40 I mean, if you make it awkward, sure. But like, for me, it's just like, whatever. Like, I would look. And he's seeing his ex-fiancee grow by the minute with a baby that it's just, it's fucked up. Which part? Not like fucked up. Nobody did anything fucked up, but it's like a fucked up concept.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah. It's like, oh, I'm in the shared house. What does boyfriend think about this? Does he get it? Yeah, he doesn't care. He's not threatened by Carl. Yeah. Did he come?
Starting point is 00:34:13 Did he film it all? No. He's not in that world. Yeah. He's a private guy. He's a doctor or something. Yeah. He went to med school.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Do we not say his name on purpose, even though we know his name? I just am wondering where we're at. I mean, I could probably say it now. Like, everyone knows. Everyone knows. I say it on Summerhouse. How do you say his last name? Coup.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Cuffe. Cuffe. Furner Coupé. What is he? He hasn't, like, taken any tests, but he's like... We haven't sent his... We don't know. We haven't sent his DNA to 23 and me yet.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Yeah, we haven't. We probably should. He's like German, Dutch, German. I don't know. He's somewhere over there. It's fine. He's cute. He's handsome.
Starting point is 00:34:53 He's cute. So we're saying his name. Why is it weird for you? I don't know. You're like my boyfriend. Everything is weird for me right now. You're in this new... I'm so trying to figure it all out.
Starting point is 00:35:04 And you're very open about living in separate apartment. and not... He's been, like, glued to my hip basically since a month before giving birth. He's been staying at my apartment. I mean, we've always... He's always, like, it's kind of been always my apartment just because I'm the one who is like,
Starting point is 00:35:24 we're going to make the second bedroom into the nursery, like my apartment's HQ, so... H-Q headquarters? Yeah, Gemma H-Q. Wait. Is any part of you loving this, like, separate, but together are you scared to make like the next take the next step because no no not that i'm scared it just was like i had just resigned my lease then found out i was pregnant then didn't want to
Starting point is 00:35:48 put the pressure on yeah and like what i've learned from especially my past relationship is that nothing's guaranteed it's not even guaranteed when you're married so i'm not like desperate or dying to move in with a boyfriend until i can figure out that that's what i want to do yeah and i thought in my mind and still feel to you know this day that having a baby and being pregnant put a lot of pressure on a relationship so let's figure that out I'm not trying to add more stress and to the to do list of like oh now we have to go find a new apartment now we have to like you know force ourselves to move in together and like so you're you're trying to separate the two like obviously they come together it did everything out of order for sure but that's like
Starting point is 00:36:33 it's very like in today is age. Yeah. Everyone has their own way of doing it. It's like more normal to do it out of order. Yeah. It's also like, you know, it's so nice. Not that I'm putting pressure on you, but like I feel like when couples do get married after the baby's here, I'm like, it almost makes me sad that like my kids weren't at my wedding. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. I'm almost like that makes it like more special. Well, and I think like with us girls on Bravo, like we're somehow like randomly paving the way for like non-traditional to be more of the norm. You know, if you look at like all the Vaynerpump girls,
Starting point is 00:37:09 a lot of them did everything out of the traditional order. Yeah. Like almost all of them, literally. Yeah. All of them did. Yeah. Saucy, Sheena, Lala, like all of them had children before they were married. Do you feel like if push comes to Shav, knock on wood, like,
Starting point is 00:37:28 you'd be able to do this on your own? Yeah. No, and I mean, that was like, like my part of my initial spiel to him was like I feel like I'm a strong person and you know individually and have have always been and I have a great support system around me so push come to shove like I will always be able to do something on my own which is so reaffirming and takes the pressure off the relationship because it's not like you'll stay in it because you need him because of the baby right what I mean right like you'll say in it because of the baby right like you'll
Starting point is 00:38:03 saying it because that's a good relationship and you're happy. Well, and that's where I went wrong in the past. So, like, let me learn from my past mistakes. Let me learn where I went wrong and, like, not make that mistake again. You know, what will always be consistent is the fact that I have a daughter now and she's not going anywhere and she is my forever. But what is never guaranteed is the relationship with, you know, a man. How did you feel about finding out it was a girl?
Starting point is 00:38:31 Oh, my gosh. Is that what you wanted? I, listen, either way, I would have been so happy. I've always felt like I give a lot of masculine energy off. I mean, go figure. Or maybe it's just because I've, like, raised so many man children. But I was like, I'm definitely having a boy. You know, I didn't get the morning sickness.
Starting point is 00:38:54 I had such, like, an easy pregnancy. Right. They say girls, like, make you more sick. Right. All the signs were, like, your husband. I was having a boy and I was 100% convinced. And then as soon as he revealed to me that we were having a girl, I could not believe it. I was so happy.
Starting point is 00:39:12 That's exciting. And I really feel like it brings me. Remind me it was because I remember you posted it. He decorated like your hotel room. Yeah. That's how you found out. Yeah. So you didn't do like a gender reveal.
Starting point is 00:39:25 No. I. Well, because no one knew. Like no one knew at that point that we were pregnant. So it's like, who am I doing a gender reveal party with? But that's actually so cute. I love that it was like just the two of you. Well, he wanted to know, of course.
Starting point is 00:39:39 You know, he was, I asked him. I was like, look, I'm having a hard time like grabbing on two things to celebrate about this pregnancy. The rumors are swirling. I'm more stressed out about killing these rumors. I can't be openly excited about being pregnant, you know, and we're about to find out the gender. Do you want to know? He's like, yeah. I was like, great. Why don't you find out and you reveal it to me in some cute, fun way so that I can be excited about anything. And I love how you micromanage everything. How about exactly what I'm going to tell you. How about let me, let me break this down to you because how you're going to do it.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Well, that's how you have to deal with men sometimes. Like, you just have to be very clear and specific about what you want. So I was like, great. You reveal it to me. And then he set up the, like, cute surprise. But in the back of your mind, you're like, but boy, because of like all the stuff. So you must have been so surprised. Well, he waited two weeks after he found out what the gender was two weeks. And I'm like, are you ever going to fucking tell me if we're having a boy or a girl? Like, when is this gender reveal happening? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Like, shit, I didn't give him a fucking deadline. I should have added that. No, honestly. So, but he waited until we were in Switzerland. we were at Lake Maggiore and we had just been in Milan. Find out it's a girl. We're going to get, we're going to get to everything, guys.
Starting point is 00:41:05 I'm sorry. So excited. So excited. It is, I mean, I have two boys love boys, but there is something about a girl that's like more, I don't know why it's like you assume,
Starting point is 00:41:16 first of all over the fucking place. I don't know how every friend of mine that gets pregnant, it's a boy. I feel like it's more of a surprise when it's a girl. Yeah. Well, and also because like, yeah, boys like they jump around.
Starting point is 00:41:28 They just are like. trying to, like, wind up in the emergency room every five seconds. And Gem, I's such a cute name. Tell me. Tell me about it. Well, first of all, can I just say one thing about having a girl? I feel like it's a full circle situation because I obviously very publicly, like everyone knows that I don't have a relationship with my mother and struggled with that relationship
Starting point is 00:41:53 for pretty much my entire life. So me having a girl, I feel blessed and I think that it'll heal me in ways that like I am like I don't even know yet. But I get to give my daughter certain things that I feel like I miss out on from my own mother. So I feel really lucky about that. So I wanted to say that about having a girl. The whole like getting her dressed up like I'm not a super girly girl. Like I grew up as a tomboy. I grew up with the boys. I have always had this masculine sort of energy about me.
Starting point is 00:42:30 So, but yes, like, I can't wait to dress her up. I think that it'll be fun and, like, braid her hair and be, like, you know, twinsies. But I think for me, it's a, it's a more of a deeper, like, connection. I'm going to be interested to see you if you're going to be tough. Like, not now because they're babies. But, like, or if you're going to be such a softie and no one's going to be. such a softy and I don't understand it. I thought I was always going to be the bad cop and I like we're doing tummy time and I like never mind. It's okay. Don't don't strengthen your neck. I was like I can't handle this like she's crying because all babies cry during tummy time and I'm like can I just rescue her? Yeah. You know and it's like really. I love that we're whispering his name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:19 He's tough. Well he's like you know. It's fine. It's crying. It's crying. It's like. It's fine. It's crying. It's It's okay. Well, she's already rolling over. She started rolling over at three weeks old. And like that usually doesn't happen until like three months. So it's working. But then like I'm just like, oh, save you. Yeah. So I'm already such a softie. We'll be right back after the break. I've always been a bar girly. Like I do not leave my house without a bar in my purse. Starting point is 00:49:23 Wait, so tell me about the actual birth. Oh, yes. Oh, my God. That's why we're here. That's why we're here. We know by your Instagram stories, you were trying to get this baby to come. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:35 He went over. I did. You know, normally for any, anybody, any listeners who don't really know, which I didn't, there's so many things I didn't know until it, I was in it. When it's your first child and especially if it's a girl, like the majority of, times they don't they come late so like a week before my due date i was like let's start this process or it might have even been two weeks before my due date but i was like i need to start like trying to naturally do all the things that naturally induce like eat the eggplant parmesan
Starting point is 00:50:09 why were you just done like i was just like done i was like i'm over it yeah and i had such a great easy pregnancy and like I felt good. I looked good. The whole time. The whole time. Even at the end. Amazing. You know, but I just was by the last two weeks, I was like, okay. I'm like really slowing down. I'm having a hard time like sleeping. Like, let's start the process of like naturally just like kicking her out. I went to like this one restaurant in Hoboken called Leo's and ate their eggplant parmesan. Someone said this specifically, go to this restaurant. 100% and I did it. I was drinking raspberry leaf tea.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I started eating dates. I was like bouncing on a medicine bouncy ball thing, you know, because they're like, do that. I did this like the miles circuit situation, which was like this like weird long yoga stuff. I, what else? Oh, curb walking. you know, where they say like, you know, either walk up and downstairs or like walk like on curbs. Like, you were doing that?
Starting point is 00:51:24 Yes, but it's hard in New York. So I was just like kind of trying. I was going to like push you over in New York. Like get out of the way. So then I just, did you get to? I had my due date was December 2nd. I had an OB appointment on December 3rd. We went in.
Starting point is 00:51:40 She was checking my cervix. I still was nowhere near open or soft. or whatever. And she couldn't, I was, because I asked her for a membrane sweep, which is, I don't even know I'm not a doctor. So just don't take anything I say to, just Google, Google everything and ask your personal doctors, because don't trust what I'm saying. Did someone recommend this see or did you Google it?
Starting point is 00:52:04 No, like I've had friends who've gotten membrane sweep. And what does that mean? So you basically like, your doctor sticks her, his or her fingers into your cervix and like swipes the like sack that is in there around your baby and to then like move it out of the way to then like it's this is where I get confused because I never got it but yeah it's supposed to like start the process of like then you know maybe you your water breaks or something wait so when you went on your due date to the doctor you were nowhere near you asked about the membrane sweep she couldn't even get her fingers into my cervix to swipe the membrane so I was like okay
Starting point is 00:52:46 we need to start talking about inducing like this is already a day after my due date and you know everyone's like she'll come when she comes how did you feel about that though like people saying that i was i also was like you know i've heard you know great benefits of a kid like just coming when they're ready and but you were so impatient not that it was impatient it was it it was already like getting to be a lot on my body. I was still growing and getting bigger day by day. I'm also of an elderly age of, you know, 38. So like, whatever. But and there is such a thing that like your placenta can get too mature and stop actually giving your baby the nutrients it needs to give them because your placenta is like now at a point where it's like dying inside. So,
Starting point is 00:53:44 So anyways, whatever. Ask the doctor. I was like, can we talk about induction dates? She was telling me. She told me what date she was going to personally be at the hospital. Like you, I obviously went my own doctor to deliver my baby. If I can help it. If you can control, yeah. Yeah. So if we are talking about induction dates, like it kind of has to like match the schedule of like when she's at the hospital and not at her, you know, practice. So she gave us the dates. She was there December 6th. And then the. 11th, December 11th and 12th. So we were like, okay, great. We're going to go in this week. You know, and I asked her, I was like, would you wait until next week or what do you just induced this week? And she was like, just induced, Lindsay. Yeah. She's like almost all doctors induced at 39 weeks. There's like a lot of research that's done, you know, where it's just, it's going to be healthier for you. And and so we induced literally two days later. I went to the hospital on a Thursday night. And then, you know, oh my God, no, they put a balloon in my cervix. Oh, really? Have you ever heard of that? I did. Is that when the Potocin doesn't,
Starting point is 00:54:56 did they not start with Potocin? No, they started with the balloon. Really? I think if you're under three, then they need the balloon to get you to three. Yeah. So right away balloon. I went in on like Thursday night, December 5th and, you know, 8 p.m. which I enjoyed. Because it's like, all right, I might as well do half this process, like, overnight because my doctor got there the next morning. When you were trying to pick dates to come, were you like, what's a cute birthday? Like your daughter? No. I knew her days that she was going to be in the hospital, my doctor.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Right. And I also wanted to, if I could, separate it away from the holidays as much as possible. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like further away from the holidays, because I just wanted. I want Gemma to have her own, like, birthday if, and it not to get wrapped up too much into, like, you know, Christmas and Hanukkah and New Year's and all the holidays. So, yeah. Plus, it was like, you know, my sanity and, and mental health and physical health. And, you know, I was already, like, past due. I know she's fully baked. Yeah. So at that point, you're just like, we just. It's so. It's so. weird to come to the hospital pregnant, like when you're induced and you're just like, okay, nothing's happening, nothing's happening, but here we go. Yeah. And so the first step, the first step was the balloon. Like, I got there on a Thursday night at eight, like got checked in.
Starting point is 00:56:31 They sat me up in the room by 1130. They're putting a balloon inside of my cervix to manually, like, pump it up and open my cervix. And at the same time, putting some. sort of tablet into my gum, like it, you know, in your mouth to dissolve. And that was softening my cervix. So I'm like softening my cervix and then like manually like opening it. And I didn't start the epidural because I had these wild aspirations and dreams that I was going to have like a breakfast in the morning and coffee and like I don't know what I was thinking. But wait, the next morning you mean? Yeah. the next morning because I knew this is going to be like it will take a process you know right that's the problem with when you get admitted right and they start hooking you up you can't eat anymore yeah so I didn't realize that that's when you have to stop eating I have always heard like eat before you go to the hospital make sure to eat yeah and I did do that like of course we went to Hillstone and like our last meal before the baby I love it I love it um obsessed with Hillstone yeah and how did you do you do you do
Starting point is 00:57:44 you get in have a connect no we had ruined that no we went in like at five we went in super oh okay so you went in for the i love that hillstone was your pre-delivery meal yeah and then got to the hospital got set up 1130 like they're putting the balloon in giving me that little tablet to like soften my cervix and manually balloons manually whatever and you cannot start the potosin until at least four hours so four hours goes by now it's 330 in the morning morning. And by the way, like, I'm not on the epidural because I'm having high aspirations and hopes of, like, having breakfast in the morning. And, you know, I'm naive. I've never done this before. I've never had an epidural. So I don't know. But I mean, when I tell you the fucking pain
Starting point is 00:58:30 of the- After the potocin. Not even the potosin, the balloon, the contractions, the cramps. Like, I did not sleep a wink that first night because when you have something manually opening you, Did they ask you if you want the dural before the balloon? Yeah. And I was like, no, I'm going to try and hold off. I'm going to try and hold off. Yeah. So by 3.30, I'm just like, ah, dying, you know.
Starting point is 00:58:57 And I have an IV connected to me. So I have to pee on stop. But I have a balloon in me that's taped. I don't even know. Try peeing with a balloon suck up your vagina. Yeah. And so then they finally took the balloon out. by like 3.30 or 4, by 6 a.m.
Starting point is 00:59:18 They were starting me on the potosin. And I finally was like, should I be getting this epidural? Like, I feel like the potosin's really going to kick things off and I'm going to be fucked. Yeah. And now I'm realizing I cannot, even if I didn't get an epidural, I still can't have solid food. So I'm like, bring on the fucking epidural. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Like, it's time. Yeah. But I also didn't want the night crew. giving me the epidural because I don't want to be like their last epidural. I need fresh eyes on this. We got to get fresh eyes. We need the day crew to come in. So 6 a.m. They're starting me on Potosan. 6.30 a.m. You know, now it's Friday morning. They are manually breaking my water. Uh-huh. They'd already get taken me off the balloon. So now I'm on the Potosan. Now we got the water broken. I'm like three and a half centimeters dilated. After the water.
Starting point is 01:00:13 you're still only three and a half. Yeah. I'm like, but we just started the Potocin. There's nothing like being like, eh, and they're like, you know, and you're like, are you good?
Starting point is 01:00:23 No, you know? By the way, for those who don't know, the Potocin is the drug and the medicine that they give you to induce you. So like, when you ever hear people being like, I'm getting induced.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Yeah, I think there's so much confusion because even I know with me like before I knew about babies in pregnancy, induced sounded like you were going into surgery. Like you were being like, induced like into a coma or into a no it's just the potocin is getting you into labor if your body they're like adding a drug to your IV that naturally can cause contract contractions to be like crazy painful painful yeah painful because like so did you experience that until the epidural
Starting point is 01:01:03 i i started to but i ordered that epidural with the new crew i was like can you please put in the request with the day crew to come to me for the epidural, please? I would have never thought about that, do you know? Oh, about like... Yeah, I'd been like, is the janitor giving me the epidural? Okay. Like, I wouldn't have known.
Starting point is 01:01:25 I just wanted, like, fresh, you know... To the day crew? Well-slept people putting a needle in my spine. Dude, my doctor came out from a nap. Like, she was like, okay. We're here and I'm like, she just came from the room that they sleep. Oh, my God. She has morning breath.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Like, what's happening? here we go. They sleep in between things. Okay, so you get the epidural. At 8 a.m. 8.30 a.m. My doctor gets there because now it's her shift is starting. And today is the day. You know, today's the day. It's the Friday. And I get the epidural. I, I don't know. I was cracking jokes. Like, Turner tells me that he was like, he was like, you know, he was like, you were the, like, comedian of the floor. Like I just was, I don't know what I was talking about, but I had everyone like rolling on the ground laughing, I guess. You were in a good mood. I was in a good mood. I was cracking up. I couldn't stop laughing. This epidural was all of a sudden like a dream. And after that, my doctor came in,
Starting point is 01:02:28 and she's like, you need to sleep today. You got to sleep. You got to take some naps and then you can eat your vegetable broth and then we're going to get this thing going. And I was like, okay. So they're cranking up the potosin, they, I'm like napping. So you're not feeling any contraction because that pejoral is like full blast. It's beautiful. That day crew did a great job. Yeah. Great choice.
Starting point is 01:02:51 And are you clicking the button or giving yourself more? I didn't even have to click it that much. Really? Yeah, not until towards the end when they were like really getting up the potosan. Yeah. Okay. So what's the timeline? What time is it?
Starting point is 01:03:03 What? By 1145, she checked me and I was like five and a half centimeters. And I was like, I thought it feels like this has been like, yeah, 12 hours by now. It has been 12 hours. And I'm now only 5.5 centimeters dilated. And then she came back around 2.30, 2.45 checked me again. And she's like, you're ready. And I was like, did you feel the butt pressure?
Starting point is 01:03:27 I didn't, you didn't feel, wow, that paderell did really work. Got to get the day crew. Got to get the day crew. Wait, so, okay. So she just tells you you're ready, but you don't feel like the pressure on your butt, whatever. nothing. Just start pushing. Well, so they started setting it up and it was nothing like I thought it would go. I mean, you watch the movies. You're like, oh, they're going to put like a sheet in front of me. I'm not going to be able to see anything. Maybe they do that for C sections. I was like,
Starting point is 01:03:56 and then like it's going to have to be next to me up here. But like he's a doctor, right? He went to med school. Like he has delivered babies before. He went to the legs. Yeah. And then I'm, I don't know what I was thinking, but it wound up being like 2.45. She's like, all right, we're ready to go. And I was like, okay. She just got everything ready, sterilized everything, sat at the end of the bed and was like, okay, you're going to start pushing. We're going to tell you when you're having contractions since you can't feel them. And it was literally my doctor, the resident doctor, our nurse that had been with us, you know, all morning and afternoon. They're so great those nurses. And then, and me. That's it. It was this intimate, like, spiritual ceremony. Stop. And...
Starting point is 01:04:48 Were you a good pusher? Yeah, I guess so, because she came on in 15 minutes. Amazing. Like, they were like, okay, you're contracting push. Wait, so who is holding your legs? So, boyfriend was on one leg and the nurse was on the other. So did he go there or did he not? Did he go to the...
Starting point is 01:05:05 Did he see? Below the 50-yard line? Oh, hell yeah. We talked about this, like, the entire pregnancy. I was like, I don't know. Why did you still like... You wanted to? Have, like, nice thoughts about me in your mind when I'm done with this.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Wait, why did he want to? Because he's a doctor. Yeah. And, like, it's intriguing to him. And, you know, he's obviously been in a million, like, rooms where people have been giving birth before. Like, he's delivered babies. He was down there. He was like, he was like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:05:34 And the first thing he said to me, you know, after like, one push, her head starting to come out. And, you know, I don't want to get too graphic because... Yeah, it's graphic. Well... We're all girls here. True. True.
Starting point is 01:05:47 So one push, her head started to appear. Then the second push came out a little bit more. And he was like, oh, my God, babe. He's like, she has a full head of hair. And I was like, what? How is this even possible? Like, I have extensions, you know? And I don't know.
Starting point is 01:06:04 And like, he has really... Did you feel or no? No, I felt nothing. No, with your hands. Oh, yeah. He was like, he's like, you have to put your hands. Yeah. And it just felt like really gooey.
Starting point is 01:06:14 And when they put her on you. I died. That feeling is crazy. Yeah. It was crazy. So you had knock on wood. We don't want to jinx anything. A really good pregnancy and birth.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Yes. Yeah. Like you. Like you farted or out, it sounds like. And like, you know, they're like, okay, well, when you push, it's going to just, just push like you're pooping. Right. That's an important thing. It's butt pushing, not the vagina pushing. Right. And then they were like, and roll your body into.
Starting point is 01:06:43 Oh, which like you know because you have such a strong core. So then I'm like, I can't feel any of this, but I know what it feels like to push a poop out. And I know what it feels like to roll my body into itself. And so I just did that as hard as I could and didn't know if it was working, but apparently it worked. And your recovery, like did you? I had, she said I had less than a grade one tear. Okay. I didn't tear that much at all. Yeah. Did you ever like a night nurse or? we have a nurse but I wanted that first night to just be us as a family you know so I got home on a Sunday and it was just the three of us and I am so glad that I made that decision because
Starting point is 01:07:20 it was beautiful it was a hectic night oh my god it's so crazy when you come back right you're like it was quite they just give you this baby and you're like what the fuck do I do yeah yeah no I mean I knew to just like feed her with my tits and your milk came in it was all good yeah I was that was I was so out of everything like 15 minute pushing great but like I was more proud that she started latching to my nipple right away after like pretty much coming out of the womb and then also that I was able to feed her like breastfeed her right away like how that was going to go yeah I have I got a boob job like what do they say about breastfeeding and boob jobs that I mean you just might mine my breast augmentation was behind the muscle.
Starting point is 01:08:08 which I think helps, but you might just have like a lower supply of milk. And how's it going now? It's going. Yeah. I'm doing well. Like I, you know, I pump every three to four hours. I'm breastfeeding, you know, a couple of times a day. And then we're bottle feeding her with my breast milk. And then we have formula as a supplement as well, which I'm a big fan of. Like, I don't agree with the idea of putting pressure on your. yourself to like breastfeed. It is not for everyone and it is not for the faint. My nipples hurt all the time. This is a really rigorous routine and, you know, I can't go too far,
Starting point is 01:08:51 you know, within a three, like this is my big time out today. Yeah. Like I, I pumped my boobs as right before walking out the door and as soon as I get home, I have to pump again and wear breastfeed. And it's just a lot. It's a lot. And I need my sanity. I'm so like My hormones are still fucking nuts. Like there's like random things. I'll just cry in the middle of the day and not know why. Well, you're a month. Let's like fucking take a minute.
Starting point is 01:09:17 You're a month postpartum. That's like nothing in the world of postpartum. That's like five days of regular life. Like it's crazy that you're here right now podcasting. Crazy that you're dressed and out of the house. Right. You have mascara on. Like, let's round of applause.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Thank you. And if you're not there yet, don't worry. Completely fucking normal. But the fans are going to want to know this. I'm going to kill me if I don't ask you. Yeah, okay. No, it's not a stressful question. Like, what's going to be?
Starting point is 01:09:45 Is Gemma going to go in next season of Summer House? Like, what do you have any ideas? These are a lot of conversations I'm having with Turner right now because she's going to be a castmate. She's going to be a castmate. Well, no, because, like, he's a private person and I'm a public person. And this is inherently like, you know, you know, where we have very contrasting lifestyles, you know.
Starting point is 01:10:11 So, like, is Gemma going to be public because mom is public or is Jimma going to be private? Because dad is private. And coming to a compromise and solution is. Like, he would want you to not show her on Instagram. Correct. And you've shown her, like, not with full face. I've shown her full face. I did a recap of, like, you know, like 2024, like what a great.
Starting point is 01:10:36 Here. Here's my top accomplishments. I showed her full face there. But yeah, like he would prefer. And it's a, it's a very big topic that we are discussing right now. And, you know, it calls into question like, you know, what are the safety implications of like posting your children on on social media? You know, are there any? And like, if so, what are they? And like, also, I'm, you know, trying to do as much research. looking at what my peers are doing, you know, if you look at Andy Cohen, for example, right? Andy Cohen's like the face of Bravo. Like, he's way more famous than me and any of us. So, you know, he, for example, like posted his son Ben, like used to take videos of him, but then stopped when Ben started going to school because then, you know, someone might recognize his son based off of his Instagram and then you know who knows maybe find out what school they're going to whatever then you can also look at like the Kardashians show their kids on TV for 15 years and they go to school you know what I mean right but then the Kardashians probably have a lot of security that's true right so like I'm not that
Starting point is 01:11:51 rich and I can't afford security I mean maybe I guess goes to school with security I don't know I don't know either you're the Kardashian that's sure I should find that out just like a random question but yeah I there's whatever status you are in life, you're a normia celebrity star, like everyone chooses to do their own thing. You have more followers than me on social media. I show my kids. And you show your kids, right?
Starting point is 01:12:14 But I also go blah, blah, blah to all the like research that you're doing. Because I just want to live in a nice world where you can show a cute baby and like show pictures of your kids. But it also makes you happy to share your life. That's what I'm saying. You probably feel like you're so in love with Gemma right now. Yeah. All you want to do is like. Yeah, but I can't go la la la.
Starting point is 01:12:33 to my boyfriend. You know, like, I can't. La, la, la, la, la. When the noise is coming from like, you know, your fucking boyfriend, you got to listen and respect. So you're in the midst of figuring this out. Yes. So that also includes what you're going to do next summer. I mean, it's part of the conversation.
Starting point is 01:12:53 I have no way. What I'm personally going to do next summer, I think is, you know. Re-summer house, I mean. I don't know what I'm going to do. I think that's a, this is a really big. transitional year for me, you guys. And I don't know what's going to happen. But it is like a big conversation. Like I'm having so many conversations right now. Well, your life changed. You know, at the end of the day, you can look great after a month. You can feel like yourself. A lot of things
Starting point is 01:13:20 are going to be true. But your life is a different, you know, like you can still do, I'm the biggest believer in. You can keep doing you. Right. And living the life you want. You don't have to change and now be just like a mommy. But like you have to... But I don't know because naturally being a mommy changes where... Partying in the summer. Just a little bit. Just a little bit.
Starting point is 01:13:41 At a share house in the summer. That part, yes. You can do probably everything else. But that comes, that's a question. Like, do I think I'll be in the Hamptons all summer? Yes, I do. But will I be at a party house? Probably not every weekend.
Starting point is 01:13:56 No. Yeah. But would you be okay with a different... kind of set up like a you would never be a friend of. Could you imagine? Could you imagine? Like an O.G. Who am I going to be the friend of? They're going to be like Paige. I know. Oh my gosh. Speaking of page. What do you think about this breakup? Oh, man. You know, I feel for them. As somebody who has gone through a very public breakup, I just really feel for them. And I'm sure. that the decision, you know, came as, as the best thing for both of them, you know,
Starting point is 01:14:36 but I, I just feel for the, the public nature of it all because it sucks. Did you give her like advice? It's like, no matter which way you flip the coin, like, you know, being in the public eye and going through a breakup fucking sucks. Yeah. No, I found out when the headlines, you know, started rolling through Instagram and I texted her right away and how are you with Craig? You've had your ups and downs.
Starting point is 01:15:01 Like he's had moments that he was like pretty shitty you. Yeah, I know. I haven't talked to Craig. I thought about reaching out. Really? Yeah. Did he congratulate you for your baby? Yeah, over summer when I was pregnant, he had congratulated me.
Starting point is 01:15:16 But when I had Gemma, he hasn't reached out. But it also seems like maybe there was a lot going on for them at that time. Right. So you're saying, yeah. Could you see yourself joining a different show like Summer House aside? We don't know what's going to happen, like, fucking Roney or some shit. I'd be happy to. I would love to, like, you know, sit down at a conference table with, like, the executives of Summerhouse and of Bravo and Andy and just be like, all right, guys, like, what are we doing with me? Where am I going?
Starting point is 01:15:49 Like, let's just like. You want to stand TV? I mean, I think, and maybe I'm delusional, which is not the first time that I would be called that. But I think that I've proven after nine seasons, or this is now upcoming season nine, that I, you know, I'm entertaining, whether you like me or not, or you're a Hubhouse fan or not. Like, I think that I am good on TV. And I not really, because I try too hard. It's just, shit happens to me. Like, it just happens.
Starting point is 01:16:25 So you guys want to make sure there are cameras around. Like, all the time. And I'm just open about it. And I think that's, you know, that's the most important. I think it would be really good on, on a show like Housewives. You do? Yeah. What kind of like role?
Starting point is 01:16:42 Like where would I? What's the- Well, first of all, it's never really about the kids, which is great. Because you can be a mom. Right. Like a lot of them are moms and you don't have to like involve your kid in it. But you can still have drama in your personal life, friendship stuff. Like, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:16:57 Right. No, totally. But yeah. But I. But I wonder, like, obviously we want you where we met you. I'm also, like, outspoken. Right. And I think I'm pretty real.
Starting point is 01:17:06 I mean, I don't really contrive drama in my life. It just, like I said, just happens. Like, I step in shit. And I'm just like, okay, great. Well, that's that. I love that. This is why I say, you can be a mom and Sylvia, dumb bitch. Not because Lynn's a dumb bitch.
Starting point is 01:17:20 But because you're a mom now and she's the same fucking bitch, you guys. Nothing has changed except I do feel like stuff has changed. I do feel like you're... A little softer? Oh, no. Happier, even. You know what I mean? So happy.
Starting point is 01:17:34 Like happier. And I feel like everyone's so happy for you, which I love to see because, you know, I always support you and I love to see that there's support around you. And I'm so happy that you came to share about your birth. Are we done? No. Oh, my God. Are you anything? We are so over.
Starting point is 01:17:50 What you have more to say? I don't know. I just was enjoying my outing for the day. I'm enjoying it so much. What can I do? I have another one at 130. Oh, God. 11.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Well, this is bullshit. This is bullshit. I love you. I know I love you too. This was fun. Why you upset then? Because I was enjoying my like, you know, your mom. I know mom.
Starting point is 01:18:11 First of all, I'm here for you for seriously anything. I'm going to just text to you. You know who I talk to a lot is Kristen Doty. Well, she's still pregnant. Yeah. She's like, oh, you're giving her like pregnancy. Yeah, because she's right behind me now. So she, so like I'm like, here's the like belly oil to use.
Starting point is 01:18:28 Here's the pregnancy pill. to get. Do you already, are you already thinking of another one? Oh my God. You're so funny. No. No. I mean, I'm just trying to like survive without having like double bags under my eyes. Oh my God. First of all, you look amazing. One month postpartum. I can't believe you like even made the time today. So thank you again. And I love you. I love you too. I can't wait to see like what is going to happen next.
