Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. Welcome back to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch. And I still can't believe that I get to chat with some of my favorite stars on my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room. Hi, guys. Long time no solo pod. So happy Friday. Surprise. Solo pod time.
Starting point is 00:00:33 We really haven't talked in such a long time. That's funny because when I think about like how this podcast started in 20, I think it was, well, it was with my sister. It was with my sister. I feel like sometimes I'm like, is she secretly mad at me that I kicked her out? But it was such a like natural kind of transition that it wasn't really that I kicked her out. It was like we tried, I think, to do interviews together. And then it felt kind of weird.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Like it was like she wasn't really like doing the interview because she was like starstruck a little bit. And then she was just like there kind of. I guess she could have remained. the like Robin of like, what's his face, Howard Stern. I should have kept her as the Robin because I love her. And sometimes I'm like, oh, I wish I could just like chitch out with her all the time, just like about what's going on since like that's what we do. And it's just, again, reminds me of how this all started.
Starting point is 00:01:29 All started from just genuine passion for this stuff. And for me literally walking around saying like, this is a hobby. like I don't care it's fine you know I don't need to make money from it I don't need to get like huge opportunities like I love doing it I'd be doing it anyway it's my it's my fucking fun you know what I mean so I really try to remember that you know in this world where everything gets crazy and you get you could feel really defeated at times you know and feel like uh and then it's like wake the fuck up you're doing amazing sweetie you know and it's like what is the line between
Starting point is 00:02:11 and I wonder this what's the line between because I always talk about like being content and I when I have said that and like interviews are on my own podcast I genuinely mean it like don't think for one second
Starting point is 00:02:24 that I'm like you know when I've said that I hadn't meant it I genuinely do but I also feel like okay so what's the line because you want to stay motivated and you want to stay like
Starting point is 00:02:35 working towards the next thing but also it's so healthy to be like, I'm content and I'm not like, you know, chasing my own tail, like, hungry A-F. Like, so I'm trying to find the line, you know, where it's like, stay in your contentment. That's good.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Proud of you. Love that for you. Obviously, there's a huge part of me that's like super motivated and super hungry to like do big things and keep on evolving and keep on growing. So there's a line to be found or just like a middle ground to be found where it's like, yes, keep going, persevere, you know, stick with it, which I have been doing, obviously.
Starting point is 00:03:21 But also don't forget like what's important and also don't forget to like value the fact that you're even given the chance to do this. I was listening to, I think it was Benny Blanco on smart list yesterday. He's so funny. He like gets so intense. He's like, like, like. but I was listening to him and he said something, which a lot of people would say, no,
Starting point is 00:03:43 give yourself credit. Like, don't take away from, from, you know, all the work that you've done. But he basically said, like,
Starting point is 00:03:47 yeah, I hustled and I fudged my way to, like, make it in this way. But it all happened, like, you know, it all happened.
Starting point is 00:03:56 He said a sentence that was like, work really hard, and then you have more of a chance to get lucky. I really love that. Like, put in the fucking work
Starting point is 00:04:07 and, like, do the, all the things because then you'll have more of a chance to get the chance and be lucky. But he said, like, I fudged my way through and I, like, I have talent, but I'm not like, you know, the best gift God has given the earth. I just, like, know, not a talk and walk and, you know, get Selena to fall in love with me. And it's funny because he said to the guys, like, right? Like, you guys feel me.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Like, you're probably the same, right? Like, you don't think they're, like, the best actor there is, right? Like, you, you know, you have something. some talent, but, you know, other people probably have more. And, you know, the guys are like, mm-hmm, definitely, totally. Yep. But I really resonated with that for a lot of different reasons, but, but mainly because, mainly because of that, that thing he said, which was work hard, and then you'll have a chance to get lucky. And I feel that way, like about myself, because I have said, like, how I manifested, whatever. But it's like manifesting to me isn't like a woo-woo,
Starting point is 00:05:08 vision board. It's like actually doing the work to get somewhere that and being a little delulu and all of those things. But but, but if you didn't do that, like if you didn't fill out the lottery ticket, you're not going to win. You know, you have to fill out the lottery ticket. It's not like, you know, Demi Moore was found at the mall, which I don't know if that's true, but a lot of them were. I don't know why Demi Moore just made me think of Johnny Depp. I just saw a picture of Giant Depp. You guys are not, it's no one. It's not looking good. good. And like there's so much a giant dip. I, I, he was the guy of my heart. Like, I generally thought I would end up with him when I was younger. I don't know how young. Like, was I 12, 15, 17, 20.
Starting point is 00:05:51 But like, you know, I just, Benny and June, if you haven't seen them, he'll be, oh my God. He's just amazing. Blow, obviously. And I literally had like a picture of him in my wallet. I'm not joking. And then I understand people get older and I'm the last to age. I'm so not about age-shaming, but seeing him, it's also like, are we age-shaming because you, like, abuse drugs and alcohol and there's a reason you look like this? Like, is that allowed? I'm not sure. But he ain't looking good.
Starting point is 00:06:21 He kind of is giving vampire. I don't know if he needs facial hair. I don't know. The face was translucent. And obviously, the way he's been dressing the last few years, but now it just looks exacerbated. Like, you could start a cloning rumor and it would. It would really track.
Starting point is 00:06:39 It would really track. Speaking of ages and not age-shaming and not discussing people's looks, we're not doing any of that, okay? Have you seen Adriana Lima? Because let me fucking tell you, I thought it was AI. Okay? I thought it was AI. And here's where flip like a stake can come in or just having multiple opinions
Starting point is 00:07:04 and having multiple things go on. at once in your brain because we're all human. It's like, yes, I hate that we glorify being skinny. And then it's like, you know, somebody gets skinny. And then all of a sudden, everyone's talking about them having a huge glow up, right? And it's like, you're not. She actually just got, she actually just got skinny. She has the same hair color.
Starting point is 00:07:27 She has the same face. She just lost 25 pounds, you know? So like the glow up, the glow up, the glow up, the glow up is a lot of the time, she got skinny. So I'm very aware of that. And I'm very like, I try to stay away from that. I think Lily Reinhart just had this happen. She did an amazing press tour for Love Hypothesis
Starting point is 00:07:47 where she literally, her stylist killed it. It just shows you how much a good stylist can do. Like, wow, chicky, wow. She did kind of like homage to different like rom-coms and stuff. Like she did 10 things I hate about you. And I think there was like an homage to Brittany Murphy look and just so many. Like she looked actually in.
Starting point is 00:08:07 credible. I wasn't thinking glowup. I was just like, the styling is so fucking sick. And it it is the best she's ever been styled. But obviously, I did see a post from a creator saying exactly what I was just talking about, like, glorifying the getting skinny. And I even commented on her thing because I was like, I so agree with you. This so happens. And it is frustrating. It happened with Whitney Levitt when she went on dancing with the stars. You know, it happens. However, I want to believe that like a lot of the hype around Lily is because of the styling. So that's what I said. Like I think I personally liked what I was saying not because her body looked different,
Starting point is 00:08:45 but because like she was styled so beautifully. So I hope that I'm right. That's how I personally feel. Again, I don't know if that's the truth and why everyone is feeling. Like of course, there are comments that are like body is tea, you know, and like that's, you're talking about the body. Which again, I think I'm in the world still where like you can say somebody's hot. Say everybody's hot.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Everybody's fucking hot. You know, people are losing weight around town. Not me. Not me. I love when I get ozempic allegations. I'm like, first of all, you're going to know. And I'll tell you,
Starting point is 00:09:15 I'll tell you when you're going to know. So Adriana Lima showed up. I don't even know what the fuck event. I was like her pony was swaying. It was also perfect like sleek pony. I'm like, how do hair stylist never get my pony that sleek? It's like, do I have too much hair?
Starting point is 00:09:29 Like, I don't know. Anyway, pony sleek, face fucking tall. Like, Like crazy. And obviously she lost weight since the last time we saw her. She was body shamed. The last red carpet she was on, which was like maybe 2023 or something.
Starting point is 00:09:49 She was body shamed because people were used to seeing her as this Victoria's secret, you know, skinny, skinny model. And she looked like a normal person. And I'm sure that was awful. And I hope that didn't make her want to do all these things. But I did. post what she looked like because I was blown away and I said, I want to do whatever she did one day. And that probably includes OZempic and it probably includes a facelift. And that looks like an amazing
Starting point is 00:10:16 recipe. So that's what I'm saying. It's like I want to make it okay. And that's why when I talked about flipping, that's okay to flip and change your opinion. It's also okay to not have just like a thesis about one strong opinion about everything. I can feel both ways. I can say, oh my God, shoot me up one day and also say, I don't love the glorifying of someone getting skinny. And especially I don't love it when it's hypocritical because it's like this movement about body positivity. And then it's like, oh, the glow up. And it's like, say what you mean?
Starting point is 00:10:51 Say what you mean? I mean? What you say? So I'm just like there's a lot of things going on. But, you know, and Sandra Bullock, okay, she's 60 fucking two. She looks insane. She probably did stuff to look insane. okay and we support it and we want the info. We want the info. And there's nothing to do about the fact,
Starting point is 00:11:10 you guys, that we live in a world and we've always lived in this world and that I don't think is new where we glorify beauty. That's why there's Hollywood. That's where there was Marilyn Monroe. That's why it goes way back. It's not a new thing. We glorify beauty and we glorify staying young. And the only, I think, you know, what makes me feel nice is like, we'll sometimes glorify both. like an actress that has decided to never get Botox a day in her life. And it's like, you go, girl, we love you for it. Love seeing your wrinkles. Love seeing your gray hair. Sarah Jessica Parker just said something like, yeah, I'm aging. Like, what the fuck do you want me to do? Like, it is what the fuck it is. You know? So I, you know, giving space in a room for both and allowing each woman to do
Starting point is 00:11:57 what she feels comfortable with, you know, should always be that. And like I said, Oh, I said, I'm going to tell you when I'm going to do it when I'm going to shoot up OZembek. No, but it is read the GLB1 conversation, which is another thing that I've flip-flopped on. I know that when it first came out, I was strongly like, I literally believed the rumors. I was like, they're taking it away for people that are dying from diabetes. I thought that. That's what I literally believed.
Starting point is 00:12:26 And then obviously I started seeing actresses that need to lose five pounds on it. But now it's just so normalized. I know that like even just skinny people are on it to say skinny. So I've talked to about my GLP1 FOMO before. But I will say it is crazy. Like I do meet like I, you know, meet with different doctors and I'll like, I get my thyroid check and I get my this, whatever. And I just met with her name is Michaela Robbins.
Starting point is 00:12:50 And she, her practice is called East West, which I loved because it was, I like combining both medicines. And we did like a cortisol test and at this test and that test. And she started me actually on all these supplements. and we changed up my Hashimoto's thyroid med. I was not on the right one. And part of her suggestion was a GLP1. And I feel like now a GLP1 is many times part of the suggested course of action for whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Like my cholesterol is high. So she was saying that point to like inflammation and all these things and that that could help like microdosing it. So I'm seeing how it's part of that world now. the wellness world. I mean, it's a peptide and peptides are equals wellness, right? So I'm not against it. I will say, like, in my mind now, even if it doesn't make sense, I'm kind of thinking, like, I would try that. I would try the microdosing and like see if that helps things with the, with the cholesterol. But, but right now, before I'm decided on the third baby, I'm not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I don't know why, but it's in my mind that like it would be, that I would be okay with it post third baby, but before, like, I also want to make that decision. I want to, like, force myself to make that decision. I feel like if I would do something like this, I would, I don't know. I just, to me, in my, like, brain, it's funny when I talked about the third baby, when I talked, you guys are like, which time? I did say somebody was like, just, like, have sex all the time. And if you, it happens, it happens.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I'm like, you don't know me. First of all, I've been married for 15 years. So I'm not having sex all the time, all day, every day, okay? And I'm a very, there's type A and type B to me, but my type A is very like organized. Like, I love a mission. Like, if you give me a mission, I love mission, missionary. If you give me a mission of like get pregnant and I can like look at my app and see when I'm ovulating and I'm like, you know, like I love it. I love that like dates, calendars, align it up, like do the thing, write it down, see what date. So I do love that. So it's not, I'm not like randomly. And if it hits, it hits. It's just not who I am.
Starting point is 00:15:00 It's just not who I am. Yeah. So haven't decided, but did decide that if I ever shoot up a Zempik, not heroin, it would be post-third baby. Even though I'm going to, if I do it, I'm going to try to not gain 1,000 million pounds like I did with Lenny, which I don't know if it's possible. Like, I don't know if it's like something I could have changed. Probably could have changed. It's funny, like the responses I got to the third baby reel of my question being everyone's saying, If you're thinking about it that much,
Starting point is 00:15:31 if you're thinking about that much, I mean, do you want it? If you're thinking about that much, and I'm like, does it, it doesn't mean that? Like, does it just mean that? Like, is that the answer of all answers? And yes, I think there's a world where I'm obsessed with people that know what they want.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Like, Chelsea Handler, I don't want kids. Love that you know what you fucking want. I love the people like, one and done. I've always wanted one daughter. Beautiful. You know, like two and done. I would never have another one. Love that for you.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Who am I? What am I? I don't know. No, and I think I do kind of know. Like, of course, three is a number in my head because I come from three sisters. And then I think about it. Someone told me, like, what if we didn't have Ariel? Our girl's our youngest.
Starting point is 00:16:13 That would suck. You know, she's like the angel of our family. So there's that part. And even Husb, like, gets it. I think a lot of you wanted to know, like, where he stands. So it is my decision, I will say. But he would love to move on with our life. and not carry bottles and strollers and diapers.
Starting point is 00:16:33 And he thinks he's Christopher Columbus, so he wants to travel and sail the world, sail the ocean blue. It's so funny to me. This is actually the funniest part to me because he is the worst traveler and like the most non-travely person. Like I told my friend and she was like, when he comes over, he won't go on the grass. Like he is not naturey.
Starting point is 00:16:55 When the plane takes off, every trip we go, he looks at me with like wide eyes, we're taking off, you know? Or like if there's turbulence, whole look at me, which like, I'm also looking at him, but like, he's looking at me. And I don't pretend to love to travel.
Starting point is 00:17:09 But he is pretending that, you know, Lenny is a year away from us going to Thailand and chilling with pinocaladas, piniacaladas, and not worrying about a thing. And if we have a third baby, then there's a duna, and there's all the things,
Starting point is 00:17:27 which I get. And it's so, fucking valid and it's so true. But that's really his only thing. It's like, what about Thailand? You know? And I'm like, you don't like the beach. You know, let's start there. So we'll go to Miami, you know, where you like it. He just sometimes, I feel like because I'm an anxious person and a motherfucking overthinker, I know myself so well. Like, I know what I like. I know what I don't like. I'm fine to be honest with it. I'm like, I'm fine to be honest about it. But he's, he's, sometimes, like, do you know yourself?
Starting point is 00:18:01 Like, where are you going in Thailand? Where are you going? So it's my decision because then I'll say, like I do, like, of course I would want three kids. Like his thing is like, of course I would want three kids. I just don't want to go through that. And I was like, you think I motherfucking want to go through it? I remember being in the, you know, labor and delivery room with Lenny and being like, this is motherfucking crazy.
Starting point is 00:18:22 I did this a second time. I remember being like, whoever did this once and goes looking for more is psychotic. like that went through my head when I was, you know, dealing with fucking pushing him out. So thinking about a third time feels crazy, but then you're like, I got to this page once
Starting point is 00:18:39 that was like people in the comments who were talking about six and seven. And to me, that was wild. To me, that's like a crazy number, you know? Like, I could never think of that. So for me, it's for sure, like, somebody told, or I saw a reel, this is such a thing of today, right?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Somebody told you or did you see it on TikTok? So somebody posted. like what I could tell you for sure about have the third is you'll you will no longer have that question in your mind of to have the third. And I'm like, anyway, I promise I won't talk about it anymore. I won't. Probably will. Or you know what? Fuck you. I won't talk about it. I won't let you know. I'll fucking, uh, Millie Bobby Brown you. A lady Gaga you. You'll find out when the baby's here. Oh my God, imagine. I guess you have to have a surrogate for that because you can't like be pregnant. Like I have a podcast. But guess what? I'm not.
Starting point is 00:19:28 going to tell you until my bump is so big that I can't hide it. And at first, I'm going to pretend to hide it. And I'm going to film podcast behind desks if that happens. If I don't decide against it, if I decide against it, then I'll, then I'll let you know. We'll be right back after the break. Today's episode is sponsored by the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program. And then somehow I'm like so comfy and cozy, but I just want to like keep chilling, but like stay away. know what I mean, because I'm comfortable now. I'm finally comfortable. And that's because my bowl and branch sheets are so good, are so fresh, are so crisp. Yeah, a lot of sheets look nice, but then you sleep in them and they're stiff or scratchy. These feel soft the second you get in. Also, these feel cool the second you get in because of their cooling technology. But by the way,
Starting point is 00:21:51 their cooling technology is just the way their fabric is woven. It's not something. synthetic or chemically treated fabric. Okay? Their cooling is structural. It's literally how the cotton is woven. Also, so many people using Bowling Branch say that their sheets get softer with every wash. So don't you worry about that.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Listen, you are at the age and I'm going to, yeah, I'm going to say it to you, okay? You're an adult and you should be getting sheets, okay, that are good. Stop with the microfiber, okay? you need good freaking sheets. Okay, you need to feel like you're sleeping in a hotel when you're sleeping at home. You don't need to wait until you're on vacation

Starting point is 00:22:57 The code is not skinny to unlock 15% off exclusions apply. And we're back. By the way, speaking of New York, I went to this event the other night, which is so funny, I feel like, which 2025 was my year of yes. Maybe I need to up the yeses, but crate and barrel was having an event with their new collection designed by Venus Williams. And it was at the Smithsonian, which is. so close to my house and I love crate and barrel and I got some of their stuff for my apartment
Starting point is 00:23:28 and my designer, my interior designer for my apartment, Lauren, I was like, it'll be so nice to bring her with me and also introduce her to like create people. So it was just like a random, like it was just like an event. I was like, okay, like I'll go. Like I didn't think it would be like a riot, a hoot. I thought it would be like, oh, let's go see like the new, the new collection and whatever. And it ended up being. so much fun and mainly because Uba and Chanel were there and those cousins are the most fun bitches ever. I bring them.
Starting point is 00:24:08 You guys hire them and bring them everywhere because they were jumping on beds just being the funniest and fun. I saw Chanel's boobs like Uba is just larger than life and just so. I forget what happened on houses of New York. Like, I know she said she left and the whole Bryn thing and it wasn't good. But she actually like has quote unquote beef with me. Okay. So Aaron Ligie is my friend and was on the show and was on my pod when one of the times.
Starting point is 00:24:40 And I told Aaron on the pod and I told her in real life like because Aaron would always talk positively about Uber. But Uber wasn't talking positively about Aaron. So I had said to Aaron on the pod and in real life, Aaron, she's not your friend. friend. Like, she doesn't like you, which I sound so bitchy. I said the truth. I'm like, she doesn't like, she doesn't like you. I didn't say hates. I was like, I don't think she's a good friend to you. Like, I was trying to be protective of Aaron. So Uber had seen that, had heard it. And she had already confronted me about this when we went, I saw her at the Uber Backstreet Boys. So I saw her there and she already was like, you said, I don't like Aaron. I was like, no, I'm trying to be a good
Starting point is 00:25:18 friend. And like, she's like, I love Aaron. I was like, okay. And we hugged. And like, we made up. but of course she brought it up again this night. And she was like, she said. And I was like, Opa, we're over it, but I love that we have this thing. Like sometimes even like negative things can turn into like your thing,
Starting point is 00:25:33 you know? And especially if you own it, I'm like, yeah, she saw that I said it. First of all, wait, I felt like I was on housewives,
Starting point is 00:25:40 right? Because it's like she's confronting me about something. I'm owning it because it was on camera. You know, like I'm on the show. So I'm like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:25:48 I said it. And she's like, I love Erin. I was like, I believe you. And she's like, swearing. to Allah, like, it's a whole thing. I'm like, you don't have to swear, I believe you.
Starting point is 00:25:56 But she's just so fun and full of energy. Like, I can see now why Aaron loved her so much and didn't mind if she talked some shit. And her and Chanel together are just such a fucking vibe. Like, I'm like, give them a spinoff. Like, give them a spin off. Like, they will deliver. They were just the most fun. And Yvonne was there, who's best friends with Lindsay from in the city. Such a vibe, too. Like, the most outgoing, give zero fucks. Like, I see how. her and Lindsay are friends, and I could see how her and Lindsay, like, cause fucking wreak havoc wherever they go because she, like, I was like, oh, she'll just go up to anybody. She's like, let's go to Venus. Let's take a picture. I'm like, no, I'm okay. Like, I have this,
Starting point is 00:26:36 I feel weird asking people for pictures. Like, only if, like, I meet them kind of like organically. And then it's like, oh, and somebody asks something from the side, like, do you guys want to take a picture together? But I would feel weird being like, let's take a picture, unless we're like, and then I pull out a selfie. So, yeah, sometimes I get socially awkward, which I feel like I've told you guys before. But anyway, it was such a fun night and everyone was such a vibe. And I was like, Amanda, is it that you have a good picker of what events to go to or would it be fun if you went to any? Which I don't think it's true. I think at the end of the day, I find myself most at like intimate ones, I will say, because there was an event like a month ago
Starting point is 00:27:14 that is a huge event. I don't think I told you guys about this. It's a huge event that I was like so flattered I was invited to. And I like, thank fucking God. I didn't get. glam. But I dressed up, I get there. I walk in. I walk to the bar and I walk out. And I've never done that before. And I think the reason I did it that night is because it was so overwhelming. It was so packed. And I was like, I'm not going to find myself here. And again, I think my picker was right because I get back in the car. I'm like freaked out by what I have done. I'm like, that's so weird of me. I'm probably missing out. I'm probably an idiot. And then everybody that went started texting me like, where are you? And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:27:52 I was like, I left and I'm like, oh, we're leaving too. Like, this is horrible. And I was like, you know what? Think fucking. Anyway, so I do think there's some truth to me having like a kind of good picker of what to go to. But I definitely think that I need to like go to more things and make more of an effort. And especially, I know I'm tying this again, but I'm like, and if you want a third
Starting point is 00:28:12 baby and you're going to be pregnant and then you're going to be like postpartum and you can't drink and like, like, why don't you like try to, I think not even like going to events, like put like this industry aside. But like in life, if you're at the point in your life where like you can go out, your kids are sleeping, your husband is watching them, or you can get a babysitter, and like you don't need to be home breastfeeding or you don't need to do. And you feel well and not kind of what, then why do you choose to spend all your nights at home, you know? And I feel like we all do this. We're like, we rather curl up on the couch and watch our shows. And it's like totally.
Starting point is 00:28:52 But I think we need to remind ourselves that like, those aren't the things we're going to remember and have stories from. Remember that night we were laying on the couch and watching a show? Like you might, like I just watched the four seasons with my mom when she was sleeping over. And that was so nice.
Starting point is 00:29:07 And that was special. Because I love when she's over to think of a show that she would like, you know? And I'm like, the four seasons seems like something she would really like and that was really nice. It was crazy, though, because that night that my mom slept over, yeah on.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Get on. And then he wondered why I called him the husband, was in home. So I had her sleep over. And I was so chill. I'm such a chilled wife sometimes. I was like, yeah, go, go for a night. I'm totally fine. I'm totally good.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I'll have my mom sleep over. It's fine. Of course, the day that he's supposed to leave just for the night, Lenny is like stuffy. And I'm like, it's fine. He's stuffy. It's going to be fine. Blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:29:40 I put Lenny to sleep at night. At 11, while I'm watching the four seasons with my mom, Lenny starts crying. Now, Lenny sleeps through the night. Like, knock on fucking wood. He sleeps through the night. He's a good sleeper. I did complain to you guys on Instagram about his bedtime being late sometimes, but he is a good
Starting point is 00:29:57 sleeper. Like, sleeping through the night, moms, you know how important that is. Like, that's a huge thing. So he woke up and I knew it's because he was stuffing and he couldn't breathe out of his nose and it's uncomfortable for him to, you know, to sleep that way. So I go in. I get stuck there from 11 to 12. I'm in the room.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Then I like try to inch my way out, you know, not crack any bones. And he wakes up. I go back from 12 to 1. Okay. I'm there holding the hand, trying, you know, doesn't fall. He's uncomfortable. Like something's bothering him.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I'm like, okay, I leave the room again. I'm like, er. I try to bring him to my bed, which with Noah worked so well. Like, that was the salulu to like sleepless nights. It's like, fine, come to my bed. Done. Lenny doesn't find himself in my bed.
Starting point is 00:30:45 He like starts standing up. He was like, my shadow. He saw himself in like the wall. Like, it was. just bad. He can't calm down. I feel like it feels like unnatural to him. Maybe that's why. Like, it's just, he's not biping with it. So he lays back down and is like playing still, whatever. And I'm like, okay, we're going. I'm starting to get fucking mad. I bring a pillow and a blanket. And I'm like, I'm going to motherfucking sleep on his floor. That's what I'm going to do. That is my life.
Starting point is 00:31:12 By the way, what an amazing wife I am that I'm not rage texting you on being like, you left me. I'm not because I'm great. So I go back with a pillow and a motherfrikin blanket, okay? I'm laying on the floor at two, right? At three, I'm awoken by a crazy scream cry. And I'm like, and I see that it's not Lenny. So I like run out of the room. Thank God Lenny didn't wake up from it.
Starting point is 00:31:36 And I see no one in the living room about to throw up because he's like choking on his cry. And he didn't know where I was. And you guys know what he told me. He told me that he thought that he was like Kevin and Home Alone. And he was like, and I look like him. And I was like, oh my God. Like he just woke up in the middle of the night.
Starting point is 00:31:54 He didn't see me. Usually he doesn't wake up. Obviously, that's why I'm like, no, no, no. How is this happening? Like, as I'm in the living room with Noah, hysterically crying, me hysterically scared that Lenny's going to wake up from Noah hysterically crying. I'm like, God, are you there? It's me, Margaret.
Starting point is 00:32:11 You know, like what is happening on the one day that a husband goes away? But I will say, amazing wife didn't complain. I might have updated him. but I wasn't complaining. But it's just, I feel like it's Murphy's Law. You know, Mamas, you get me. It's always like that night that you're like alone with the kids that everything goes fucking wrong.
Starting point is 00:32:34 I have been getting a lot of questions about what my ugh of the year is. And I don't know yet. Okay, I need some time. I know. I usually know by this point, I just actually got a new pair. I will tell you if those are them.
Starting point is 00:32:46 But I've been looking at the new releases and nothing has been really, really popping out for me right now. So I do have a feeling it's going to be either the clog vibe that we saw last year, that lasted for two years, if you remember, or just like a slip-on slipper. Because I think they were trying to make happen like more of a chunky clog that I saw, but I don't know if that's going to happen because we're not, none of us are pretending thatugs are going to be like fashion, but, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:14 it needs to still look like a comfortable slipper for it to be cool. But I see, I see you, I hear you and I understand my duty and responsibility and I will get back to you. Things I'm super excited about Verity, super excited about Verity coming out soon. It's one of the books that got me back into reading. I love how I say back into it. It's like when I was five, I read. So I come back into it. But it was really, yeah, like I did the housemaid and then all that.
Starting point is 00:33:41 I did the whole like series. And then Verity and Verity, I remember being like, right. And then with a note. I'm like, mine is real. So I'm very excited. Josh Hartnett, Dakota Johnson, and our girl, Annie Hathaway,
Starting point is 00:33:57 who is due any minute and is on the press train that has never ended since, wow, since when, since Devil Wars Prada or since before? She's been doing a lot. She's been doing so much. Wait, does anybody seen that movie? Oh, Mary, not O'Mary, Mother Mary.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Mother Mary? What was it called? Why was no one talking about it? Was it out yet? Anne Hathaway. What is it called? Mary? Is anybody talking about it, guys? Mother Mary, 69% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad. Well, I don't think Rotten Tomatoes is like a thing anymore. I check in. I'm like at this point, like, what are we talking about? Like, what are we saying? What are we doing? Another movie came out with Sienna Miller and I think she brought her daughter. No, she brought her daughter to a different event. And did you guys see her daughter? I was like, jeans are real because how? Like, I get it. It makes sense. You're stunning. Your husband's hot. Your kid's going to be stunning. But it's just like, oh, she's a model.
Starting point is 00:34:49 By the way, Kate Moss's daughter, Lila Moss, also model and super cool. I had a night where I was just like scrolling through her videos and I was like, I need to stop. I need to stop. I don't think we talked about my favorite person in the world, Lena Dunham, having a baby be a surrogate. I loved her announcement. And I did know about it. I didn't know you guys. She did tell me.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I got a big guy. I wanted to make the joke. because I think I made that joke before that's like when you comment and you want to make other people know that you knew and you're like, finally it's out there. And there are a bunch of different ways to do that. It's finally or like I'm so excited again, all over again since the first time that I knew.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Like there are all these different ways to make the world know that you know. But I didn't do that. And I just waited to tell you here. So I'm different and I'm bigger. But I was so excited to see. her announcement because I just, I'm happy for her. I'm happy that, I mean, if you read her books and that she's at a place in life where she was like ready to be a mom. And I know she wanted to be a mom. And I'm so excited for her. I'm so excited for her. And Millie Bobby Brown for having a second
Starting point is 00:36:06 baby. I actually read what Millie Bobby Brown said about why she's using a surrogate. She said pregnancy and delivery like really scare her. And she's and so that's one thing. And then that would cause her not to want to be pregnant. And adopting for her, I feel like is very natural because she takes care of all these animals and like adopts animals. And she's so like, so that's like she's also doing something for someone, you know, and saving a child from a, you know, an unfortunate situation. So I feel like it's very unbranded for her to adopt. And I think that the fact that she has fears like about getting pregnant, giving birth, which are so fucking valid, okay?
Starting point is 00:36:49 Like I understand it. And choosing to adopt is a beautiful thing. It's really a beautiful thing. Good for her. She should get more and more love for adopting. What else, you guys? You know, I just want to say that I love you all and I love all you for listening and for sticking with me and for knowing who I am as a person and for understanding that
Starting point is 00:37:14 people make mistakes and. do the wrong thing and say the wrong thing sometimes, and that that does not define them. And you mean more to me than any, literally anything. Because, you know, even when I decided to say something about it, not one person told me I should address it and I should apologize. And I just had to. I could not move on with my life and with doing what I love without,
Starting point is 00:37:46 owning a mistake because I do believe that it was a mistake and that I want to take accountability for that and I want to own it and I want to I want to I when I'm wrong I say I'm wrong vibes. So just know that I appreciate you and that that apology was for you. Not for the haters, not for anybody else. Apology was for the people that listen, that love me, that I love and that were disappointed in me because I was disappointed in myself. And that's it. I'll end on that and just say again that I love you. And thank you for listening.
