How are you?
I'm really good.
you know just just getting settled into the house your house looks like the bum diggedy it it is i'm not going to
it looks insane so katy is from uh vanderpump rules if you guys don't know then i don't know if you're
like living under a rock um and you just moved into a new house which legit like can you tell me
about how that how is it happening that everyone on the on the and the cast is kind of like moving at the
same time. Is it because you're closed, so everyone's kind of like copying each other?
Kind of. I mean, that definitely, yeah, definitely could have something to do with it.
We tend to like to stick together. But I think it was just kind of like the right time and
for all of us at the same time to just sort of be like, all right, if one person does it, we all got
to do it. Yeah, because when people were talking about it on like social media and stuff like
that, I was like, why are you shocked? Like, do you think they just like wait tables and are making
like $10 an hour.
Like, I think it was just, it's different for people to see from like the first apartments
that, that some of the cast members had, which wasn't as much you in Schwartz as it was like,
who had like, oh, Tom, right?
And Kristen had like a really.
Yeah, Tom Sandoval.
He's been in that apartment for like 15 years or something.
Something crazy through like all kinds of different girlfriends.
And, and yeah, I mean, it is, yeah, it's like, it's kind of a, it's a little shocking, but for us, you know, it's been almost eight years. So it's really not that big. Wow. I think it's because we all didn't do like buy a condo or like a little starter home. We went from just basically like living in apartments to moving into like a dream house. And you bought your, your home now? Yeah. Oh my gee, Louie. It looks insane.
I'm, we're obsessed, we're so happy.
No, it looks so, I'm going to be honest right now.
Like when at first, when I saw, who posted something?
Was it Lala or Randall?
I don't remember.
And it showed your house.
And I was like, there is Randall and Lala's house, swear in my life.
Oh, no.
No, because it was so, like, amazing.
I was like, there's their, like, giant house.
And then I saw, like, the caption was like, Katie and Chorzzi's new house.
And I was like, whoa.
And I'm so happy for you because I think, you know, I, like, Insta love you.
thanks I do I do I um before we get into a little bit about just like how you start on banner pump
and obviously going through you know me and my catching up for months upon months um which is taking
me so long I do want to say that like with Katie I I sort of get like an an instinct about people
like even before I kind of like know them so from season one of watching I was like she's my girl like before
any of, before you even had really like any drama surrounding you or I was just like you're so
like soft spoken and eloquent with sometimes you use words that I don't even know and or a lot
you use words.
Even when you're drunk, you're like, you're so judicious.
And I'm like, how would does she manage that when she's wasted?
Yeah.
I don't know what it is about me in vocabulary.
Larry. I don't know. I just think I like to have a broad lexicon.
How do you? Did you go to college? No. No. Oh, my God. And I did. And I'm not, I'm not close to that.
It's called reading a book or just, you know, word of the day. Or if you hear a word, sometimes like, sometimes I'll just like hear a word. I'm like, what is that? And then I'll be like, I like, I like like, I like like that word. I'm going to try using it, you know, as much as I can.
Good for you. I remember one of them was like magnum magnanimous.
I know people
Do people don't understand that there's like different meanings of it
Like it can mean like forgiving or whatever
But can also mean like
Oh right because you said it about the wedding venue
When you went to look at like wedding venues
Yeah
It might have gotten messages because I was like
Katie and her like huge words
And people were like it's not used right
And I'm like whatever it's big
I think I sent you like actually it is
It is yeah
I think I might have said
No but so many
And even when you're angry or in a fight with someone
you still come across just like just so like elegant and gracious and like I really like your
style a lot and I think that a lot of people do and I think that the group is so diverse
and there are some people that are more vulgar to like be you know subtle are more vulgar
and everyone's kind of really different so you stand out and I mean Schwartz is too right
he was like pre-med yeah he went to college so he was
went to college. Yeah, but see, it doesn't even matter.
Yeah, he reads a lot, too. So I think that's where he gets a lot of things. I think it's
reading and now I feel bad that I don't read. Oh, well, it's okay. I'm not like reading like,
you know, the dictionary. I like, I think the last book I read was like Twilight, to be
honest. Oh, you didn't read 50 shades of gray? I didn't. I went straight to the movie. I know.
Should I, should that be my like starter reading book? No. Okay.
Absolutely not.
Okay.
Wait, I want to tell everyone that, like, Katie and I have to do this remotely because I'm in New York and she's in L.A.
And I would want to get a drink with Katie.
So I'm, like, drinking by myself with Katie.
She doesn't know.
I'm having a margarita.
Oh, I like your style.
See, it's only noon here and I have stuff to do today.
No, that's fine.
I don't after this.
So I'm like, at least I feel like we're like chilling, you know?
I mean, I'm not against drinking like early in the day.
I just like, ah.
I would ruin my whole day if I did that.
No, no, no, listen, I had a week, okay?
I've been sharing it on social media.
I've been, like, constipated a F, crying about it all day.
Like, I've had a week, and I've also trying to make, like, a pact with myself to, like, not drink till Friday.
So Friday came.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Friday's here.
So it's okay.
Just pop a couple Phillips and just go on with your day.
So I was going to ask you if you have any, because, like, you're so handsy and crafty.
So I was like, maybe she has a constipation advice.
um phillips pills work really well or like there's these ones you get from like muscle max or something
and they're called cleanse and lean and not to be is that the milk of magnesium uh i don't know what
i don't know exactly it's in it but it will give you some epic poops not going to way i'm sorry
but for anyone no everyone listen if i get one if one person thinks poop is like tMI then i'm like
goodbye um it's like the best thing yeah i i i
I have lots of, like, poop talks with people.
Oh, good.
I'm not shy.
I know we're, like, vibing.
And you just came back from Paris.
You and the girl, who was on the trip, Lala.
Myself, Stasi, Britt.
And it was amazing.
Yeah, we had so much fun.
But, yeah, I mean, we didn't stop.
We were nonstop because, you know, in Paris, you got to walk around, take in the sites.
We also did some, like, you know, tours of, like, the catacombs and a whole day at first.
Versailles. Oh, I remember the cat. Are those the under the graves, the like skulls or something?
The bones, yeah. The bones. Yeah. That's what I meant. They had all the cemeteries were overcrowded. So they had to
built these like, you know, quarries underneath because all the buildings made a limestone came from
underneath the ground. So they decided to put the bones from the cemeteries in these, in these,
you know, tunnels basically that they had created. Did you, did you love it?
Oh, I love it. Yeah, it was my second time.
It was your second. Oh, right, because then there's that story, because I was just watching an episode that you guys tell the story about traveling with Kristen.
That Kristen is a bad traveler and that you left her in, like, Denmark or something and went to Paris and she didn't come.
We didn't leave her. She decided that she wasn't going to come to Paris, so she booked a flight back home for the, you know, and we were, we'd always been planning to go to Paris that day.
So our flight was leaving in the morning
and her flight back to L.A. was later in the day.
So we didn't leave her anywhere.
She was not.
No, no, I know.
But it was just like a funny, like the whole thing that Kristen is a bad traveler,
that it's like a known fact, like no one wants to room with her.
And I'm actually caught up now, even though I really tried like by the time we talked to be all cut up.
I'm at the episode where you guys go to Slovang or Sovain, as Brittany says.
Solvang.
Solvane.
Solvane.
And you are rooming with Kristen and you said, like, I can handle her.
And then I felt that.
Like when you said that, I was like, Katie can handle her.
But I couldn't handle her.
Oh, it ends up being that you can.
Okay.
Okay, so you haven't watched it.
No, so I just got, you guys just got there, I think.
You did some wine tasting.
Psycho Kristen is like starting to like pop up here and there.
As Tassie's like, get away from me.
And at this point,
you're like, I can handle it. And the thing is about you that you seem like so level-headed
and to make you blow up like takes a lot. Like you're like kind of like, like have a motherly vibe.
Do you know what I mean? Like you can take care of people. I feel like that's an unpopular opinion,
but I'll take it. Really? Yeah. I mean, you don't get like sloppy. Like I feel like everyone's
guy in so sloppy. And like what? Your sloppy was like talking about Sheena.
like season two that she was like dancing on peter that was your like worst moment yeah yeah that
was pretty bad it wasn't that bad i don't know i mean like yeah i've had my drunken times where i like
have like little outburst but yeah i mean whatever i own it screw it no that's what i'm saying
so when you said you can handle it i was like she can but i mean like i thought i thought i could
So was she not invited on the trip, Kristen, to this one, to the event?
You know, we did.
We opened up the invitation to her, but, you know, it was a very quick, like, she didn't even consider.
She was just like, yeah, no.
I was like, all right, cool.
But it was such a, like, touristy, classy trip.
Like you said, you guys, like, walked around a lot.
And, like, it wasn't, like, I didn't even see, like, shots.
I didn't see, like, partying.
Like, it was.
In Paris.
You drink wine.
You do, you know, you do that.
I know, Brittany.
Brittany doesn't drink wine.
She always prefers shot.
So we'd go to these restaurants and she'd order a shot and they'd be like,
what does that mean?
I'm like, oh.
And I think Americans are such freaks anyway.
Exactly.
So, yeah.
But I think honestly, I think Kristen just prefers or does better with sort of like, you know,
Mexico where you got just like the beach and the pool and the hanging out in the sun.
And it's just sort of like a kickback whenever there's like.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, I'm all like.
into knowing what you like and don't like.
And if you don't do well on those kind of trips,
you decide you don't go and that's fine.
Exactly.
And like it's not like you guys aren't understanding everyone
like kind of knows what, you know, mental health is.
And like no one's not being sensitive to like anxiety or anything like that.
It's just like a lot to take on when you have like a short period of time away.
Of course.
Yeah.
And you got to really be able to hang because, you know,
the jet lag will kill you.
Really? Was that bad?
I mean, yeah, when you go 10 or 9 hours ahead of you, it takes them adjusting, yeah.
Yeah, well, that looked like so much fun and you looked so cute in your little like beret.
What's it called? You probably have like a better name for it.
It's called a beret.
We're going to take a break real quick and be right back.
I want to tell you guys that I've been months ago, one of my followers was like,
you have to watch Vanderpump rules.
And I was like, oh, I know, I keep hearing about it.
But like, I don't know.
And then I was like, no, fuck it.
Like, I'm going to start it.
And the minute I started, I was like, ah.
And I became like obsessed, as you know, like, hashtag VPR ambassador.
And which, like, I made up.
And some people are like, like, most people are really supportive.
Some people are like, you're 10 years late.
You know what?
It's never too late.
Right, right.
But how are you calling yourself a VPR ambassador?
And I'm like, hashtag, I made it up so I can.
So I think I didn't even know that you were following me on Instagram until like season four or five when James like was being nasty and derogatory for the first time towards you.
And yeah.
And I, right.
And I put it up.
not even knowing that you would ever see it or anything.
And I was like, oh, this is so disgusting because he, like, talked about everyone's weight
and was like, all of you don't have summer bodies or whatever.
And at that time, Lala was part of it too, which I know things are different now.
But, and then you had, like, responded something to me.
And I was like, oh, my God, hi, Katie.
And then I guess you didn't know I, like, wasn't caught up.
And you were talking to me about, like, real-time things, like, that were happening with James now,
which, like, now I know what they are, but then I didn't.
Oh, because I wasn't sure if, like, you had been watching and then you were like, I'm going to go back and watch because I was like, oh, no, which makes sense for you not to know. Yeah, because I think, yeah, because it already aired like that he once again was coming with the, you know, fat comments. Oh, my God. And then, yeah, so then I didn't see it. So I was like, okay, if Katie wants to ruin season seven for me, like, it's fine. Like, she's the one that can do it. But then I got to that part, you know, this, that recently. And I was just.
just like so annoyed and like shocked.
And the fact that you were telling me when we spoke about it then that there are people
that don't understand what had happened, which for people that don't know, like he was
being derogatory and he called you fat and Lala a horror.
And then you basically just said to Lisa that it's uncomfortable, which also what
annoyed me is that no one was really talking about that the week before he was like
rapping about Jack's fucking faith.
of Brittany who was like there and smiling which was also fucked up you know what I mean so it wasn't
like oh one thing happened and then you're like hey Lisa like I'm uncomfortable with this so I really
didn't get how it could be that there were like you were saying a lot of people that were kind
of angry with you for for doing that yeah a lot of people felt that I had provoked him and you know
without taking away from anything people I've got to understand like there was an entire
that you didn't see. And what I had seen that day was James literally a sweaty drunken
mess just like on a verbal tirade throughout the whole restaurant. At one point I saw like Lisa like
he was had he was sloshing around with a glass of champagne like storming through the restaurant.
I saw Lisa like chasing after him. Oh my God. He was a he was a really hot mess like and he was just
like was sweaty and just like his his shorts were like all tangled up around him.
But Katie, what did you say? You said something about his shorts.
Yeah, no, but that's what I meant.
Like, like, he, because he just told Lala, like, she was a fucking whore and that she needed help and all of this.
Right.
And then he starts coming over towards me and I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
First of all.
Oh, so you felt like it was going to happen anyway that you were the next event.
I mean, how, how am I provoking someone when I'm sitting down?
Like, he was coming into my space and I've just, I've just, I had been sitting back for two hours watching this mess go on.
Oh, my God.
And I was just like going to, so I just was like, hold up.
Like maybe you want to like fix your shorts like, like straighten them out.
You know, your boxers are showing from 10 different angles right now.
Oh my God.
And then you can carry on telling everyone that they need help.
No, but that's all I meant by.
I was, I would believe that the fact that you said that was, I mean, like I say shit like that.
You know, it's like there's a huge difference between telling someone, oh, your shorts are a little low or pick up your pants.
than, like, calling someone names that are derogatory and mean and, like, discussing.
And it was so undeserving.
I even saw your face, like, it felt like to me, obviously, like, you probably maybe felt
differently.
It just felt like you were more like, what?
Like, what does that?
Like, how, like, confused for a minute and then maybe were you, are you even, like,
hurt by him or is he so, like, unimportant to your life that you don't?
Yeah, that's, yeah, it's at this point, you know, very unimportant to me.
my life, you know, but back then I just, I was just, it wasn't the first time he had done that.
And it, it was like the 20th time and he had already apologized six times for doing it.
And I just, and he had just done the shoot to Brittany recently and some, some other things to people that, whatever.
And I just was like, you know what?
This kid is just done.
Like, yeah.
I'm done.
And like, this is just, it's just gotten to a point.
And no one was doing anything about it.
Like, no one did anything.
Ever. The only thing that I felt a little bit, like, I 100% said, like, you didn't deserve that shit at all. Obviously, like, for me, I was like, why didn't he take his anger out for being, like, ambushed with that girl, hope or whatever? He could have taken out on Kristen who, like, organized this thing. You know, it just felt like the direction his anger went towards, which was to you at that point, that was, like, really, really undeserving. But I understand, I'm starting to see, like, his issues and stuff, like, on the show. And I'm like, okay.
I see why people, like, feel bad for him because I also have those moments where I'm like,
you know, like, just as like a person, you're like, oh, my God, you're so fucked up.
You have such a, like, you know, difficult family situation and you obviously don't know how to
navigate the world and treat people and you need a lot of help.
Obviously, doesn't excuse his behavior, but I have a feeling he needs to take care of a lot of personal things.
And I know there's, like, more to come just because, like, from what people are saying about, you know, the fact that on mid-season seven, like, there's more shit to come with him.
Yeah, it's just, yeah, he's definitely layered and definitely a troubled person and it is what it is.
But, like, it doesn't mean he gets a pass, especially in my book because, you know, there's plenty of people who have had a rough go or had things hard or, you know, whatever may be.
And they've still come out a decent person.
James is really not a friend of any of ours besides like maybe Tom Sandoval like he doesn't ever
hang out with us except for you know when we're like filming a show and I just you know he was just like
telling me that I'm working hard to kick him when he's down and ice him out of the group I'm like
you never ever like we hang out all the time and for some reason you really care right now that
you're not a part of things and it just felt like so you think he just wants to be like
more on the show. Yeah, and I just felt like it was just a way for him to just sort of like
win an argument when it came to me to like further victimize himself and make me look like
I'm a bully trying to ice him out. Like, how am I icing you out of something that you've never
been a part of? You don't have, I don't have any emotional equity with you. That's why you don't
get away with shit that I let other people get away with. Yeah, and you, I mean, do you feel that still
now? Do you feel like you're getting any feedback from people that you did something not okay by
like coming to Lisa.
I don't give a plaque anymore.
Honestly.
Because I see a lot of support like for you.
I don't see any of it anymore.
For anyone says anything to me, I'm like Katie's my girl by him.
I swear.
Thank you.
I don't, I don't, sorry people.
I don't read any of that anymore.
Yeah, but you know, even if someone says you're a bitch, okay, that's like whatever.
Like if someone's like, no, wait, she'll be such a bitch this season.
Like that's the worst I've ever seen anyone say about you and then like really fuck that.
They say, bitch, I call strong woman.
I love that.
No, you're, you're, you've been, you know, so empowering lately and also with like body image stuff and on the show saying, you know, that you're feeling the best you've ever felt.
Like on this season you were saying and that you finally like accepted yourself and love yourself and like, I'm really happy that you're at that place.
And then on this season seven, another altercation you just had was with Billy motherfucking Lee.
that also pissed me off.
Yeah.
Even, I think I was more prepared for the James thing
because I knew it was going to happen.
I was like waiting to see it.
And then with Billy Lee,
I was like, what?
Yikes.
Is that, do you feel like the show?
Okay, so do you want to tell me
what happened with Billy Lee?
Kind of?
Um, gosh.
Oh my God.
Is it kind of like really old?
And you're like, uh, it's like, when was
That's filmed like a year ago?
Yeah, almost.
Yeah, that was, that just was spooky.
That's the only way I can describe Billy.
Billy in that situation is spooky because, you know, as while we haven't been like great friends, like call each other up to hang out, you know, we would see each other out or, you know, we were very much like.
No, you were so cool to her.
You were like, you know, really interested in hearing her story and like, you know, I said this before.
I don't remember where, but you guys are so accepting of, really, that's like one thing you don't
see on the show. You don't see like bigotry about stuff like that. You see like acceptance of
everyone, whether they're, you know, gay, straight, bisexual, transgender. Like, you know,
you know, and Lisa, like, obviously is such an advocate. So really, it just felt like so
thrown out of thin air that like, you know, you guys not inviting her to like something was,
has to do with her being transgender.
Yeah, and that it was a girl's night
and it was sending the message
that she wasn't a part of it.
And I'm like, no, what?
Because I didn't ask you to plan it with me.
Because I didn't invite you to my apartment with my friends.
I was just at your brunch and you told me it was random to see me.
Right.
I'm like, hold on.
I've been working here for like 10 years.
There was bottles of tequila that have been there longer than she was.
Right.
Yeah.
See, you remember, it wasn't so long ago.
No, no, no. I just, like, when you ask me, I'm just like, okay, where to begin with it? It just, it felt like a thirsty thing. It felt like, you know, she was making it an issue out of something that it wasn't. And it was mostly because like, oh, well, I want to be like filming more stuff.
When you guys started the show, it was like the cast that, you know, the OG cast or whatever. And you're actually friends and like you actually worked at Sir, right? Am I wrong?
Yeah. We had been friends before the show and everything.
So, yeah.
And then now that new people know the show is happening, like, know that you can get, like, you know, fame out of it, do you feel like people are like, oh, I want to like bus tables at sir?
Maybe I'll get on the show.
And, like, I want to have sex with someone that, like, works there.
It just, it probably feels like such a, like, thirsty environment.
Yeah, it definitely does.
And so, yeah, we're always worried about that.
But I'm like that.
I'm just kind of like in general.
I'm a very guarded, protective person.
I have, like, four friends and I, you know, on purpose.
Yeah.
Um, you know, just because I, I don't know, I don't, I'm protective of myself and I don't like to put
energy into people that I don't know. So it's, yeah, so sometimes it's, it's really hard when there's
some new people that come in to just try to, you know, and sometimes like, you know, with Billy, like,
it was, it was very organic, you know, we were getting to know her and everything. And then I think it just
wasn't enough or it wasn't going, you know, at the pace she wanted it to. Yeah, but there are people
that did like her before, you know, and she kind of ruined that. We all did. We have.
There were people that even, like, connected more.
They were like, Lala was, like, close with her.
And, like, it seemed like on the show that maybe you and her
weren't becoming besties, but she was getting a good reputation.
Like, people were like, oh, she's a nice person.
She's a good person.
Like, totally.
And then I feel like she kind of just, like, ruined it for herself for wanting to be
on the show.
Do you ever, like, want to just say, you're just trying to be on the fucking show and
you, like, can't say it or, like, yeah.
Or do you say and they edited it out?
I feel like that would be the first thing I would think of like, why are you...
We're not going to talk about camera.
Like, we don't talk about...
How do you do that?
It would be so hard for me.
Like, you can never talk about...
Or do you do that and then it gets edited out?
Some people do.
I don't know.
It's not as hard as you think because you just start being honest.
If people start doing it, it's a cop-out.
It's, you know.
So you're totally comfortable, like with the cameras now and everything.
Oh, yeah, 100%, which is good.
in a bad thing.
Because you forget that they're there.
You forget they're there, but then you forget that they're there.
Oh, my God.
Drink a little too much or you overshare some information or you say something you can't
take back and then you, you know, you got to like own it and know that everything that
you're saying is going to be seen by people that you don't want, you know, it forces
you to be very honest.
Right.
For the most part.
And also, but also honest, but also like protective of yourself that, like, you know,
Like you said, you don't say anything about someone that you love and care about and, you know, that you don't, because it's going to fucking air.
Why, I do.
You do?
Well, yeah.
Yeah, but you never, I mean, I guess you don't have anything bad to say about your actual friends.
It's my same rule is when I, when I, you know, that I do when I'm like talking shit behind someone's back.
I won't say it.
I won't, it's fine.
It's fun.
I'm sorry, Tom's pulled his pants down in front of me right now.
No, what?
Don't distract our pod.
Um, wait, what was I say? Oh, yeah, you just, like, if I'll say it to their face eventually,
then, yeah, I'll say it behind their back. Yeah, you're saying, like, you're a person that what you say
behind someone's back, you'll also be able to say it to their face. Yeah, eventually. When the time's right.
Yeah, that's also kind of what I feel. You know, if I'm saying behind their back, I'm just kind of
working out some material to see, to see if I should say it to their face. But I still would. No,
but I would. Yeah. For me, it's one of those things, like, I'll talk shit.
and I'll have this like almost like I'll have a confidence that if you find out about it I'll be able to like admit it like because I'll I actually believe it like like you're saying like if I say something bad about you behind your back I probably don't want you to find out but if you do then I'll have to explain it and I probably can because there's like a reason I'm feeling that way exactly yeah yeah there we go yeah well I'm glad we got that is Tom still with his pants down no do you want to say hi to him
Yeah, come say hi, Tom.
Come here.
Well, you can't hear it because you have headphones in, but I'll see.
Oh, come closer.
Hi there.
Hi, Tom Schwartz.
How you doing?
Good.
How are you?
Why are you pulling your pants down?
You know, I was desperate for attention.
You're like a dog that you're not getting paid attention to and you need to like do things or more like a baby.
Yeah, a little bit of both.
A little bit of both.
And your doggies are so cute.
Oh, they're the best.
Gordo and butter.
Yes.
Are you playing with them right now?
I was upstairs, actually.
Well, don't show off the oven upstairs now, Tom.
It's unbelievable.
This is very surreal.
And every time I walk in here, I feel like I'm in someone else's Airbnb.
I was telling Katie that when I saw the video of, or like someone posted something about
your apartment, I was like, oh, there's like Randall's apartment.
I swear.
Yeah.
Which means that, like, you know, your people.
PJ status now.
Whoa.
Can you say that again?
PJ status.
We're not quite PJ status.
We've got quite a waste to go.
I'm saying that's what it looked like to me.
I was like, oh, here's like Randall's apartment.
No big deal.
And I was like, oh, it's Katie and Tom's.
And that made me happier.
That's high phrase.
But anyways, well, it's nice chat with you.
Nice time with you, Tom.
I got to get back to playing with puppies and designing shot glasses.
Good.
Good luck with that.
Thank you.
All right. Nice chat with you.
You too, Tom.
Bye.
Bye.
Okay.
Let's take a quick break.
We'll be right back.
Well, he has such a, like, sultry radio voice.
I know.
That's his podcast voice.
Oh, he doesn't do it like that all the time.
I know.
I was like,
I was like, I was going to ask him how early, you're like under the weather?
No, he just likes, he likes to pretend he's a sex phone operator when he does podcast.
No, I can't deal with that right now.
That's so funny.
Oh, my God.
He's like, yeah, like, mm.
I was going to be like, oh, do you need like a cough drop?
No.
No, it's just nice, sexy, yeah.
Totally manipulated.
If it was like all set up with like headphones and like a mic, he'd probably like really get into it, like into the role.
Yeah, 100%.
can you tell me then if we just like talk to tom schwartz like how you guys met i know that
christin like introduced you and um i'd love to hear like the the story yeah um so i i met
christin at sir when i started working there and she was dating tom stanvall at the time and
she was like oh i want to introduce you to my boyfriend's roommate and i was like oh i don't know
what's his story she's like well he moved here like a year ago i was like ooh okay
I don't know.
There's something about, you know, fresh people to LA that you just, you got to let them get,
like, let them get a little weathered here first.
And you had been there at that, at that point, because you also, you moved from Utah.
Yeah.
So I've been here, uh, four years at that point.
Um, and, and then I was like, what does he do?
She's like, oh, you know, like, acting modeling.
And I was like, I'm going to stop you there.
I've already dated all of them.
Like, no.
Like, no and no.
And then, um, eventually.
we just ended up kind of like meeting like just kind of randomly one time after work we
ended up going back to their apartment I believe and he had like some girl that he was hanging out
with there I think they were just friends but it was like kind of like oh really great first
impression that this guy you've been trying to set me up with he comes with a girl yeah was it
on purpose no oh wasn't no um it was just kind of like he had been like out doing stuff with friends
and then they came back and, uh, but anyways, but no, I thought he was like adorable and we hit
it off. And so, yeah, we, we, we sort of like, we were just kind of doing like a casual dating thing,
like, we were both, didn't want relationships, I don't think. Because how old were you at the time?
Um, I was 23. Oh, wow. So you met, he got, he, he, like, picked you a young flower.
24, 24. 24. Sorry.
yeah that's still i mean
how much dating would you do a lot of dating before you met him
yeah all the dating
all the dating by 24
yeah i didn't i i had like
boyfriends but like it would be like for like six months at a time
or you know uh nothing like ever really serious
and then with him at the beginning it was like casual
and then like all of a sudden you're like wait i love him
yeah people caught feelings especially him
oh right i remember at some point
who was saying it on the show at the beginning?
Like, he was, like, so obsessed with you.
I mean, not that he still is, but that he was like,
oh, like, she was not into me and, like, I need her, like, right?
He was more, like, into it than you were.
Yeah, well, it's everyone else.
But then when I would ask him, you'd be like, no, no, I'm good.
And I was like, okay.
Because he's, like, shy?
Get your story straight.
Yeah.
So I asked him, I was like, you know what?
Enough because I was talking to Stasi and I was like,
I was like, I don't know if I really don't know if I want a boyfriend,
but I really like him. She goes, okay, we'll put it this way. If you guys don't, like, set boundaries or
decide what this is, you know, how would you feel like if he started doing someone else? I'm like,
I'd kill them. So she's like, well, then you're going to have to. So I was like, shoot, I'm going to
lunch then. I asked him to lunch and I asked him to be my boyfriend. No, oh, you did it? Oh, good for
you. Yeah. And he's like, I don't. Wait, you asked him, do you want to be my boyfriend?
Yeah, basically, yeah. No, that's so cute.
And he said, I don't, how many years now?
That's like, nine.
Oh, same.
Me and my husband are also going to be nine.
Yeah.
What's your date?
I don't know.
Sometime of the summer.
Well, no.
When you got married, oh, right, because you have like your wedding anniversary.
Well, yeah, we've been together this summer for nine years, but we go in August, August 17th, it'll be three years.
It goes by so fast.
It goes my, in August.
28th. I'm going to be, how many years married? Four. So we're like same days. Oh, yeah. Wait, August
what? August 28th, we're going to be four years married and also summer nine years together.
Oh, wow. Which is why people are like, where are the babies? Do you get that too?
All the time. Yeah. And I'm a little older than you, too.
I mean, when were you born?
January 16th of 1986.
of 1986. Okay, so wait, and I'm in May 88. So that's two years. So you're 33 now? Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, I'm turning 31. No big a do. Yeah. So you're like Stossie's age.
Hmm. Yeah. Okay. I know that in this season she's going to be like, oh, she was just 30 or like that party. She turns 31 in June.
Yeah. That feels, but I'm kind of liking it. How are you feeling about your 30s? I dig it. I think it's awesome. I, I, I, I think it's awesome. I, I, I, I,
I think everything, just things become like a little more simpler.
Things become harder, like your bones crack and stuff.
But like vitamin.
Like losing weights harder or working out is harder.
Walking upstairs sometimes hurts.
But I think.
Concipation and stuff.
I don't know.
You know, just, just gray hairs.
No, that stuff's fine.
May these be our biggest problems.
So we were talking about being in our 30s and kind of like being asked about like
babies a lot. So how do you, like, respond to that?
Like that? Just like, I don't know. It's just like, it's like, it's a lot of pressure, you know?
And it's what do you want me to say give you like a day? Like, I don't know. Um, yeah, sounds good.
I tell them I feel like in L.A. But isn't like L.A. more like New York in the sense that I feel
like in Utah probably people are more like, hey, Katie, what's up than like in L.A.
Oh yeah, but like people my age have like their kids.
are, like, graduating high school.
Right, exactly.
No, for sure.
Yeah, I have friends who, like, kids are going to be, like, 16 years old.
That is crazy.
Yeah, I know.
I just, yeah, this, well, Utah's, like, its own, like, weird little state, but, uh, yeah, I think people, you know, it's much more common for people that have kids, like, later on.
Yeah.
At this point, it is what it is.
I, I, I don't have a kid right now.
I am the age I am.
So it's like,
But you want to.
You want to have like a family.
Of course, of course.
Yeah.
Same.
Now that we,
you know,
we have a house.
We're really putting down some roots.
It feels like more like settling and stable.
Yeah.
So it's just,
yeah,
I think in time.
Tom and I've never been in a rush for things.
So.
Yeah,
same.
That's a thing.
Like for me,
I was with my husband for five years when he proposed to me.
And I was living in Israel at the time.
And Israel is kind of like Utah.
I'd say like everyone is like,
married as babies, blah, blah, blah.
So he proposed to me after five years, which is like, you know, makes sense to people.
But for me, I was like, oh, my God.
Like, literally, if you see my engagement video, it's like you look like a stranger proposed
to you.
Like, how are you so shocked and like so?
And I was like, because I knew I was going to marry him, but like I wasn't in like a rush
for the next step because I knew they were going to happen.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, I mean, I may or may not have given an ultimatum, but you know what?
True.
I expect it.
It was expected that it would happen, but, you know, people, yeah, it's, I gave that
ultimatum, but it was, like, also kind of like, not, not filled with empty words, but
basically just wanted them to know that, like, there's, you're super serious.
Yeah, like, it's time to, like, make a serious commitment.
I mean, the thing is it looks like in, in.
And the way your relationship is like portrayed is like, yeah, you have to sometimes like be the one to pull things forward. And that's okay. Like there needs to be someone in the relationship that does that. You know, and like even with babies for me, like my husband is more into babies. And he's more pushing it. And I'm happy that he is because I think that it's if both of us were like, nah, like we're babies. Like we don't need to rush. Then we'd probably never have a baby, you know?
yeah well Tom and I like we're both neither one of is just like being the one like gutting for it
yeah but I'm not sure that's good no I'm just what did you say I said I'm not sure that's good
no just just because I feel like one per if I'm telling you if my husband wasn't like
reminding me every day that I'm like not 18 which is like is annoying sometimes that he does
that to me um but for me it's helpful just to have like a little nudge like reminding like from him
but you guys are probably
own your shit enough to
to do it differently.
Listen, everyone reminds us all the time.
So neither one of us are like,
oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Right, because everyone also wants
to like see little Schwartzies.
Yeah, I know.
In time, in time.
No, babe, no crush from me.
Are you kidding?
I'm like with you.
Yeah.
I think, you know, just,
I mean, we just like moved.
I think, you know,
I think in the next, like, six to nine months,
there's going to be way more serious conversations happening.
Yeah.
But, you know, we got like a wedding coming up.
We got, we got a lot of stuff.
Oh, right.
I wonder if they'll probably have a baby before you then,
Jackson, Brittany.
I mean, yeah, Jacks wants to, like, put a baby in her.
Like, that's so funny, but that, like, changed in him.
I know.
I know.
I mean, like, Jack's always wanted kids.
I just, he just was, like, kind of like, just sort of,
like flailing for a little while for like 10 years and she's younger is she still in her 20s
brittany yeah she just turned 30 oh she just turned 30 okay so and she's also like super ready for
it um yeah she wants like 20 kids yeah so she just turned 30 jacks is going to be 40 in July
40 wow wow you see them a lot like how like for people that are listening and like you guys
are really friends i or rel you hang out all the time like it's not
just for the show.
I mean, he used to see them every day
because they lived down the hall.
Oh, my God, that was hilarious.
With his little, like,
beer, what do you have, like,
a moving keg or like?
No, his cooler scooter.
He's probably the only person
that ever, like, purchased that, I feel like.
Yeah.
I know.
So now we got to work a little harder
to see each other.
They just moved, like, two days
ago.
So they're, like, in the thick of it.
right now, but I want to try to go see them later today.
I saw their house the other day.
Is everyone in the same area, sort of?
Because I was just on the episode where Sheena moves to Marina del Rey and everyone's like
whining about going there.
Because it's, you know, okay, I'm trying to think of what the New York equivalent would
be.
Okay, so do you like grown if you have to go to like Brooklyn or Queens?
Right.
I don't go.
Correct.
So you're like, it's just like, ugh, like it's okay.
I guess it's only take so and stuff.
But, you know, there's only certain times a day that it will only take that amount of time.
Yeah. There's like a two-hour window where like it's like,
it's like, okay, I can manage, you know.
It's just the way you have to cross there's certain parts.
It's just, it's like going upstream.
It's crazy.
But are you, are you guys still friends with Sheena?
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay, cool.
We just don't like ever go on that side.
But yeah, no, we all, I mean, we all talked about, okay,
when we all leave West Hollywood, where are we going to move?
And, you know, the place that made the most sense to like everyone.
like collectively and also on their own like in their we all had thought on our own that uh it's
valley village studio city which is basically west hollywood on the other side of the hill
it's well it's it's probably about seven miles to sir oh okay were you able to walk to sir before
yeah oh yeah wow it was about a 15 minute walk i mean i wouldn't say i wouldn't say i walked all the
time to work but but you're not are you you're not working there anymore well I am but like it's
different than I yeah just like a little yeah I mean we do like girls nights there the girls night
is still happening yeah so is it legit only girls is the drama still happening no no the night
that that that caused the drama yeah oh sick yeah well now it's on Wednesdays we were pink
Right. I saw that. Oh, okay.
It hasn't been every Wednesday because this, the last like month has, well,
month and a half has been like, wow, crazy. But, um, but yeah, it's a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun.
See, the thing is, it's just like when we go there now, it's like, it's kind of like Disneyland.
There's a lot of people in there and a lot of pictures taking and stuff that happened.
So, uh, even with you, with the cast members.
If I wanted to be like, hey, I'm here I am for my shift and these are my six tables for the
And I, in no way in health that happened.
No, no, Katie, please, of course not.
But, you know, I'm asking, like, you know.
We've had to, like, reinvent our roles that sir over the years.
But, you know, I mean, I'm like, I jokeingly be serious that I'm going to die there.
Oh, my God.
And so knock on wood, don't talk like that.
No, but I mean, like, I'm going to be there until I'm, like, 89.
And hopefully they'll be VPR until you're 89.
Oh, my God.
No, I need to see it.
I want to spread my ashes and the back.
parking lot, sir.
Wait, but can you tell me, okay, so I'm coming
out L.A. next week.
Oh, my God. Time for Ricken flies.
Yeah, what's your plan?
So first of all, tell me which
like of the LVP franchise, like do,
I mean, TomTom looks amazing.
You can go to, you can literally walk from Sir to
Tom Tom, Tom and Pump are like basically next to each other.
And then Sir, sir's like a block away.
So you do like the crawl.
Oh, I'll do like a LVP crawl.
Okay, okay.
I would say like have like dinner at Tom Tom.
Need like the go cheese balls at Sir to try.
No, I need like the pump teeny.
Have like go to like pump and have like a little drink.
Go to Tom Tom Tom.
Have like.
Do you go to Tom Tom Tom all the time?
Because like when they just open, I was just watching an episode and you were like,
I'm going to be there every day.
I was like, it's she?
Do you not go ever?
No, I go all the time.
Oh, you do?
God, not every day.
No, I'll go to TomTom with you.
How about that?
Yay.
We can go have a Madam Butterfly or a Clockwork Peak or something.
Yeah.
Deal.
And maybe we'll see like Chrissy Teagan.
Didn't mad celebs come in?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Like more celebs, I feel like, are coming into TomTom than like, sir, no?
That's true.
Yeah.
But I mean, sir, I mean, sir, and it's all in its time has seen a lot of.
Right.
But I feel like sir is like the heavier like crowds, right?
And then like Tom Tom is the like Chrissy Tegan, Miley Cyrus, like fucking Dakota
fanning, riding with Sandoval and his like sidecar or whatever.
Right.
Yeah.
It's wild.
I mean, I think it's wild.
They keep the capacity like very capped at Tom Tom Tom, which they don't at sir.
Sir, it's like it's gets very intense in there.
So it's going well. So the business is booming.
It's booming. There's a line out the door all the time. It's, yeah, it's, I really love it there.
That's so fun. I was so excited. Like, I've told you this before. Like, I just feel like, I know you guys sometimes. And I'm like, cried at your wedding. It just got me really emotional. And then, you know, the boys got the offer for the, for the opening Tom Tom Tom, I was like, yay. And then, like, you were excited about it. So I'm just like on this journey. I, like, don't want to, like, I'm about to finish season.
and seven. I don't know what to do.
Well, you'll only have to wait probably, what, six months maybe until
that's, which is, which is, uh, not that wrong.
Because you're on a break right now from, from filming. Uh, yes, but you, you've got to watch,
do you watch the reunions or have you watched all the reunions or do you just do the,
seven, Katie, I'm still on seven. But you've watched, okay, so then you, you've got, see, the,
the final episode, the third, what am I trying to say? Spit it out. The, the,
Part three of the season seven.
Oh, right, because they're like a gazillion parts, yeah.
Yeah, it's on Monday, so.
Oh, wow, I'm pretty, no, but this is the longest.
But you're also, like, to me, like, what you're doing is in binging.
Like, binging is when you get through a show in, like, a week.
Like, the fact that I took so long, but I really like enjoying things.
And, I mean, on my Instagram probably looks like I'm, like, watching a gazillion episodes a day,
but I kind of managed to watch only, like, one a day.
And since they're like a gazillion episodes, a season,
and then three reunions, and then I'm just like, ah.
Yeah, 21 episodes is a lot to pack in.
It really?
And they're an hour each.
Like, it's not even like a 20-minute thing.
Like, you guys somehow feel so much time,
and it's just, like, so entertaining.
And I fucking love it.
As you know.
It's a lot of fun.
Yeah, I mean.
And you enjoy, like, filming it.
And obviously you're grateful for the fact that this came into your life, I'm sure.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
But yeah, the thing is, it's our lives are the same, whether we're filming or not.
You know, it's like we all hang out.
You know, it's not like I don't get to see my friends, you know, while I'm filming.
I think that it's just, yeah, so we just continue living our lives.
Sometimes, you know, cameras there are sometimes they're not.
But yeah, they should really film like your realm because, you know, there's just always
something happening. That's the thing like, you know, with, with, like, you know, keeping up with the
Kardashians, which I, like, have to watch, you know, I've been a day, do you watch, um, keeping up?
Yep. I do. So, like, obviously, like, it's an hour. They're, like, eating the salads. They're
drinking the tea. They're like, what did he say? And, like, nothing happens. And this season,
where we know what's going to go down, which is the Jordan and Tristan cheating. Oh, yeah.
We know it's going to happen on the final episode.
Probably there'll be like a to be continued and they won't even show us the whole thing.
Yeah.
annoying.
The opposite, it's like opening scene shit goes down.
Like take it from here.
You know what I mean?
It's like you don't have to like make people.
So that's what I like love about it.
And also, yeah, I just saw Jacks, I think.
His tweets are so funny.
Oh, God.
Yeah, his tweets, man.
I hide on Twitter.
Like, I'm not a Twitter person.
I go on to see what other, are you, do you tweets, are you on Twitter?
No, I mean, I haven't like, like deleted or deactivated my account, but I don't have the app.
Twitter's like the worst place in the world.
That's what I'm saying.
So, yeah, right?
Because I go on there to look at other people's stuff and I'm like, this is like a freaking mean place.
Yeah, it's really, really bad.
So I just, you know, I don't feel like I'm as.
out on anything personally besides just a lot of like hateful mean things it's just so weird like
it's just these people say the rudest things while they're trying to tell me how rude I am I'm like
I would never even dream even in like my worst dreams or even in my darkest you know rages of
you know blackout that I would like even say this kind of stuff to someone I didn't know
yeah not into someone I would I do know I wouldn't like I just can't I can't imagine and I'm like
It's just very, it's a bad place.
It's probably weird for you at the beginning when you like, now you're probably used to
because you're like, okay, I'm like a public person.
People see my life.
They feel like they know me.
They feel like they can say things.
So you probably like have a tougher skin now.
But I'm sure at the beginning you were like, wait, who are you?
Like, why are you speaking to me?
Yeah. It's been, yeah, I've just slowly become acclimated to it, I guess.
But it's just, it's still like, you know, people think like, oh, well, you put yourself out
there.
So I get to do this.
Like, they think that that's their, like, right.
It's like their privilege that they get to, like, be an asshole to me.
And I'm just like, no, I understand, like, I understand, like, my position in this world right now.
But, like, there's never an excuse for you to be.
There's never an excuse.
Yeah, but Jack definitely, like, plays with it, you know?
Like, he doesn't, he's not, like, brushing it, brushing it, like, into it.
Like, every day there's a tweet.
But it's, but it's funny.
But it's, but, but his tweets are funny.
and I like seeing them.
Do you, so who's like the closest to you on the show
and in real life, I guess, from the show?
Um, I don't know.
That's hard to say.
I think I've, like, who would you guess?
Stasi.
Yeah.
Yeah?
Yeah, I'd probably say Stasi.
I don't know, but it's hard.
Yeah, I was okay.
If I had to pick one person, I would, yeah.
But.
And then least close.
James.
Do you know.
shit that's like obvious i don't know i'm not i don't i don't see or hang out with like sheena
very much just because like she's just she's a everywhere i'm not always it's just kind of like
i you know we've been trying to get together i really liked your friendship with her and you
were like little bean it was just like so cute yeah i love sheena i love sheena it just i remember
people would tell me like you know that they don't like her and i never understood it and i
And I was very like, why.
She, like, seems like a good person, a good friend.
I didn't see why.
And I don't dislike her now at all as, as, like, a viewer.
I just could start seeing a little bit of the stuff that people were saying.
Like, and I did see, like, a change in her from, I mean, all of you matured and changed.
But, like, a different kind of change.
Maybe, I mean, again, she went through, you know, that divorce and whatever.
So shit like that, you know, changes you.
For sure, yeah.
it was part of your wedding and like you were BFF and all this stuff and then for me it felt like that happened and then the season came back and the I mean a new season happened the first scene was like Katie you're not invited to my birthday and I was like wait what happened yeah because like because yeah there's stuff that would happen like off season or off camera you know and especially like you when Stasi came back and sheena was very much in support of wanting me and Stasi to reconcile and everything and it's like it seemed like the second like
that right in that second that Stacey and I made up like Sheena just sort of changed and started
like, you know, assuming that I wasn't going to be friends with her anymore as if I didn't
have time to have more than one friend in my life. And so, you know, a lot of people's opinions
about that or perception of that was that, oh, I, you know, Stasi turned me into a mean person again
and turned me against Sheena. No, it's just that like, with Sheena, like I couldn't have more
than one best friend. I had to be, like she had to be like my one and only. And I was like, no.
I think she was so happy to finally, like, be part, you know, of stuff.
And then when it sort of felt like it was getting away from her, even though, like I said, like, I felt from her, like, her intentions were always good.
She wanted you to, like, reconcile with, with Stasi, like, your BFF.
Like, she was happy for you.
But then when it happened, she was like, wait, what about me?
So, so, yeah, I mean, that's a thing about the show.
Like, I really can understand where everyone kind of, like, comes from.
so a lot of times people ask me, like, who don't you like?
And, like, I'm like, I try to understand where everyone comes from.
And so with her, like, you can see, even today I saw an episode where, you know, she was on the Lala and she knows, Lala basically was like, you know, the other girls, like, when you say stuff, they're like not into it or like when she was talking about Rob Adam or whatever.
And she was like, yeah, I always try with them.
Like, maybe I need to stop trying.
And I, that's what I felt for her.
Like, she always, like, really wants.
to be part of things and then like gets disappointed really quickly and but that's good to hear
like friends just like I think I think now we finally like got to a point where she's figured it
out and we've like we've just gotten to like a good spot where it's like you know just because like
we don't hang out or much or I might talk to someone more that it doesn't mean I like you any less
or like you hold any less value in my life it's just you know it's just we it just feels like
it's more adult now with sheena yeah because you're not like going out every day you have like a home you're
like chilling you're with your dogs yeah and i think i think sheena's like also in like the best
place that she's been with her's you know self like i think she's just very like confident and
content and she's like you know what i'm single and owning that and just feeling like feeling her
independence more than ever and just like that's that security which i really like am happy to see in her
oh yay good i'm happy to hear that really important questions
question Katie before we go sure was it about the pasta yeah it was about the
this is a turning point because I can't believe it yeah it be it's so dumb it's so dumb
you're like you're signed a bunch of like forms you can't say it like I know you're lying
to me no it really was about the pasta like she had this pasta James was eating she was sitting on
the patio. It was sitting there and she didn't eat it. So they all assumed that she was done,
you know, wasn't going to eat it. So they ate it all. And then Raquel took that as a sign of
disrespect. And that was a whole issue. For real zis. We have to remember we're dealing with
Raquel here. So yeah, it would be about the pasta. When it comes to like, you know,
emotional awareness, self-awareness, all of that. You know, she's, she's 23 years.
years old. So yeah, she would be disrespected by someone who, you know, she feels threatened by who
then ate her pasta. She then ate, like everyone, she's saying this literally, like, who then
ate her pasta. Yeah. Also, Raquel is like freely eating pasta and like looking like that, I don't
get it. Well, when you're 23. True, true, true, true. I could eat like that when I was 23 too.
True, true, true. Now I just eat the pasta and go whatever. Now, like, let me just tell you,
I've been eating fruits and vegetables for a fucking week,
and not because I'm trying to lose weight,
but because I...
You're trying to poop.
Exactly, which you know already.
And I was like, I'll probably, though, like,
just automatically be, like, you know, eight pounds and, like, glowing.
And I'm like, people talk about when they do these things,
and they're like, I feel like a new person.
And I'm like, I don't feel any different.
I don't want to eat regularly.
So, yeah.
But we're doing our best.
I think you should do less and not think about it.
And then it will happen.
That's exactly, I told my husband today, I was like, he's like, so how are you?
Like, are you feeling less like, he doesn't know what to say anymore?
He's like, are you less like heavy and bloated?
I'm like, heavy?
You know, no, he didn't say that.
But I was just like, I promise to you for my sanity and yours that I won't talk about it this weekend.
And I know that that layer alone with anything.
in life, like, if you at least, like, go of the, like, dissecting it and thinking about it,
then at least that layer is gone and, like, whatever happens, happens, you know?
Yeah, because you're putting a lot of pressure on it.
No, you get me.
You know, I really am.
I, like, ordered, you know, my whole Amazon is like flaxi.
It's, like, mechanism, like, everything.
I'm, like, Googling things.
And it's just, like, I'm spinning.
I'm fucking spinning about this shit.
And now Katie knows and, like, the world knows.
And sorry for a...
It happens to everybody, though.
It's a real thing.
It's a real thing.
So don't feel bad about it, you guys, if you're ever constipated.
And I really don't believe you still that it's about the posseum.
It really is.
I know.
I was just like, I can't deal with it.
It's so ridiculous.
And I like, it's just, it's, I'm like to the point where, like, I hate it.
You hate it because you say it and then you feel stupid because then people are like, you're lying and.
Yeah, I'm like, it really is.
I wish, I wish it wasn't because it would just make.
everyone happy and like it would just end this whole like question but yeah it's really about the
motherfucker pasta you should have it at start it's really good pasta okay i will i will katie thank you so
