What's up? To recap, the first episode of Vanderpump Rules, Season 8, OMG, Louis. What an honor. How exciting. literally felt like I was given an award by Bravo, being called an expert on Vanderpump Rules, hashtag VPR Ambassador. Most of you know that I binged Vanderpump Rules

of seasons one through seven pretty late in the game and have been waiting ever since to, you know, watch season eight live with everyone like a normal person. So this is a very, very exciting time for me. And I got to sit down with Megan Segura and Eric J. Mack to recap the episode. And we had so much fun. I'm so excited for you guys to hear it.

I felt like it feels very different this season. In what way? It's just like I think the house, the matching houses. You know, and how they immediately addressed, you know, this person, this person, this person no longer work here. Like, oh, we're dropping. I like that.

I mean, first of all, like, wink, wink, cough, cough, like, itch, itch. But still, thank you. It means something to, like, address it. But who's still working there, Jackson, Chena? Right. We're doing quotation marks, air quotations marks? I don't know. Or for realzies.

I could see that Jacks actually still needs the job. I could be wrong. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, he has a wedding to pay for. He said it himself. Exactly. Well, I love that also Lisa said, like, I can't expect Stasi to get off the

PJ and hostess. Oh, La La La La. Yeah. I mean, no. Lala, you know? Like, duh. Right. So, no, it was amazing. I was actually, I don't know how you guys felt, but I was so scared of new people. I was like, why are they doing this to me? This is too much. You're into it. I'm okay with it. Let's not, you know, let's not push the envelope, but very, very okay with it. Like, okay, you guys, don't seem so thirsty. Yeah. Right? You know who seemed thirsty. Peter What happened last year? I don't know you and I were in the bathroom together Yeah I was peeing Really? I mean are you saying it something different than that?

No we did not make out No you tried to kiss me and I leaned away and I left To be like So Dana I just oh I hope this isn't weird Wait what and she said to him This is a line I wrote Don was like I think I'd remember if I hooked up with a pirate Right

Jump's in on the couch Comes over to Dana and is like Like, so I hope it's not weird we made out. She's like, you know, that actually never happened. Is that the most embarrassing thing that could happen to anyone ever, but also on live, on television? I know. And it's just so fucked up because it wasn't on camera. So you're just calling out this poor girl.

Were you guys shocked when they brought it back to the Mondrian that she was the girl? I mean, it's kind of interesting. Well, I wasn't shocked because I have seen, I've been doing some research on the new cast members online. and I had been stalking Brett for a while because let's be honest, he's a looker. Really? He's my type. He's my type.

Max, what do you think? What, skinny, scrum? I think Max is more attractive than Brett. I think I'm more of a Max person. Interesting. Wait, he dated, Brett dated like a famous YouTube woman. Oh, did he? Yeah.

I don't know YouTube people, but a big one that people like knew of him. Going back to Dana, there was some internet sleuthing on behalf of some fans. And they identified her as the woman who was like hanging out with them at that guy's night last season. So I was like, okay, that was her sort of intro into the group. I see. She was, I mean, I like her. I do too. She was, she had a good vibe.

Yeah, it's hard. I can only imagine how hard it is to come as a new person to cast like this. And she was kind of cool about it. Yeah. We didn't see Danica, right? Not yet. Okay. Have you seen a picture of her, though?

No. Um, she's Dana. Well, right. It's going to be so hard like for, but, but we don't know Danica yet, but look, side by side. Danica and Dana. Right. Yes. Yeah.

They have the butt chin. They both have a butt chin. There's only room for one butchin. It's definitely been an evolution from like, because I remember season one it was like heavy eyeliner Sheena. Yeah. And now it was also appropriate with the times. Right. Then I felt bad for her though. My heart kind of broke for her when they, you know, called her boy crazy. I'm going to be honest with with Sheena. I mean, I think we all know that she's very boy crazy. See, I feel like we have a double standard with that because Max is talking about going on vacation with Sheena with Sheena, but then also he had slept with Dana the night before and he's calling

Sheena boy crazy. Come on. That's really fucked up. And then she's like, no, but you know what my favorite was when she was like, are like, are like best friends. I was going to say she's not boy crazy. She's best friend crazy. And then she corrected herself and she was like, I mean, you know friends because I guess

she knows that's like. knows that's her it's a trope for her like every guy is her best friend no like he's my best friend he's he's he's we're like best friends like best friends I felt I felt I felt bad for but it was so such a real moment because Katie hearing them talking and like cracking up and then going over immediately and being like so they just said and her being like are you kidding like we're going in vacation together and then it's like you she kind of ends up looking like dumb you know what I mean yeah like you're taking this guy on vacation he doesn't want to date you the other guy Brett said she was a horrible kisser like who says that right that's a bad rumor to have about you can I tell you when I was

like a kid there was this toy I don't I don't know but it was like you pressed your thumb on this like card and it would say if you're this color you're a good kisser and if you're this color you're a bad kisser and I got the bad kisser one and as a kid I was like no had you even kissed anyone at that way. But also imagine how much experience she has and like I feel like yes if anyone should be a good kisser. I mean he could just say that they didn't have kissing

chemistry. That's true because by the way one person's bad kisser could be another person's. Right. That was a that's what I'm saying. Thirst monster red flags a little bit for bread because saying that in your like first confessional sort of thing and being like it's not what I would expect and then like yes and if like you want to know i meant she's a bad kisser like no we didn't want to know

it's not what you would expect and also you're a dick to say that's so mean and i felt so bad that wasn't what i thought it would be nothing against her wait are you saying she's not a good kisser that is what i'm saying i feel like she's going through something for a while now and i wonder when you know because like the sheena we knew with shea um was like i'm married i want a family i want this and that and when that kind of blew up in her face and then rob blew up in her face and she wanted to marry him too and like all of this stuff blew up in her face it's like no I want to date only like servers

that are 22 and like magic mics like no you don't like do you really and I think it's it wouldn't be so terrible except that she has this backdrop of friends who have all they're all figuring it out right now you know even Jacks is figuring out but wait she's dating someone that Brock guy there's some kind of like

buff bodybuilder type man Brock. His name is Brock. I can't trust it. Sorry. I can't trust anyone named Brock. I mean, that's like. What does it say about A, that you're like a bodybuilder that you like hike in the mountains. Brock, yeah. But it looks like it's working. I'm like crossing my fingers. I know. So you're saying on Instagram it looks like they have a totally happy and healthy relationship. That's so weird. I mean, it's more than she's had in a while. That's true. Let's put it that way. Okay. What do we think about Kristen and Carter? I feel bad for Kristen, too. I'm so happy that Stasi addressed it. Me too. Because I was like, oh, dear God. That's the Stasi I love of, like, saying those things. Like, just like, she makes it so, you look at Kristen and you're like, why do you look

like so bad, you know? And then Stasi just says it. She's like, Kristen is a person who you see on them what they're going through. Like, I'll like put on makeup, like, pretend to the world. No, she doesn't pretend to the world. And then she opens the door and she's like, hey. Kristen knows how to, like, make her outward appearance fit whatever she feels like she's going through. Whereas, like, you know, when I get upset, I really like to, like, go put on some blush.

Try and make myself look a little presentable. Kristen looks like she's been crying for days. Not that I look any different on a Sunday running errands. To the house, chilling, she wore like a cutoff, like a... Well, that's her t-shirt line. No, that was. And then Lala went to talk to Carter, which is, like, I feel like Kristen. When she confronted Lala about that,

I feel like the subtext was like, Lala, we're not even that close. Because didn't you feel that that Lala? Inserted herself a little bit? And then it felt like Kristen was like, Lala didn't even talk to you about this. And Lala was like, um,

you cried to me, okay? And it's sort, the subtext to me did feel like Lala was trying to shove herself into something that I believe that Katie and Sassie are part of because they've been friends with her forever. But I've never really seen Lala and Kristen like vibe.

Right. I mean, I've had a situation for sure where, like, a girlfriend was hanging on to a guy for longer than she should. But then it's like, I just let it go. Like, I don't know what's happening behind the scenes that Katie and everyone else is so mad. Like, I just don't understand that. I could understand if it's, like, a friend that cries to you all day or a day. Yeah. And it's like, eh, and so whiny and so annoying and so depressed.

And you're like, well, do this. Like, here's the solution. And they don't do it. And then they also lie. So I can get it, but also, like, you guys all have, like, amazing, you know, things going on for yourselves. Be a friend to her. Listen to her cry. And, like, yeah, Carter does seem like a giant loser.

I'll be honest. He grosses me out. He skews me out. I know. When he's like, I love you. I think I liked him until I found out he didn't have a job. Yeah. Isn't that weird?

You took some pictures for her. You think. Yeah. But also, who do you think? You know? Who is. Lala to call him out for being a sugar baby. Well, she was pretty transparent about that, too.

She was like, look, like, I know that I'm an imbalanced relationship here or whatever. And that I just, like, take care of the home. And she said that, et cetera, she runs a household, give me. Wait, Eric, what was the next thing? Run a household. What was the next thing? Gives bomb BJs. Right.

No, we talked about this last time. Does she and is she all day every day? Like, she talks like she is. Who would want to give Randall BJs all day? Like, let's put that on the table. But was anyone shocked that she had the house too? But what a cute house. It's so cute. I just, I don't know why I expected it from everyone else because I guess the couple situation. But then I was like, oh, Kristen, good for you, girl. Yeah, good for Kristen. And also, I was thinking like Stasi, what is she waiting for? Is she waiting to get married and then freaking like bring like a Lisa style?

Villa Stasi. Ooh. She is a New York Times bestseller now. She is. That's true. She is. I was wondering that too. I was like,

when is Stasi and Bo's house coming? Well, it's going to come after the like Rome wedding. Yeah. Yeah. What do we think about Bo as a new, like, cast member? I love him so much. She loves him. I know.

Now I remember you were like so into Bo. You don't like? No, I do. I do. I love him. Like, I look at him and I'm like, Yeah, I'd marry him. He's so supportive.

He's so sweet. He's, what did he say about her when she was like, well, how funny was that line, too? And she said, you know, that when she dies, which, like, I wish I could be as, like, not afraid as she is. Yeah, like, teach me your ways. I actually cry about it in the shower, but good for you, girl. Good for you that you're, like, envisioning your taxidur. You're, like, own taxidermy.

And she said that she could envision Sheena moving her body around to, like, her right, to her right, like, angle that sheena likes and then Beau said in a confessional like how it's weird for him yeah because I guess she does talk a lot of but the way she takes him on tour and he's like part of everything that she does I mean that means you're good you know if you can do that and like survive it like you're good not a lot a lot of couples could yeah I think the skepticism with Bo started because he is like an actor but I think that does help with the situation because to your point like he's by her side and he can you know turn it on when he needs to to like be there on her podcast and her digital series on tour with her you know but like that's he's so charming that's what he is he is really

charming and you know what i like about stasi that she's so not gold diggerish like she i feel like she's never dated someone who could like that's very true and she seems like the type of person that she seems high maintenance yeah but she she gets her own like jacks nope uh patrick nope like bow try in but not really trick that just gave me PTSD oh he was gross what else did we have that was good yes the jackson sand of all uh dramas drama you know they those two though i feel like have always been in a bit of competition because they remember that season when jacks gave us that golden line of like i'm the main guy in the crew oh god like they're always i think it's always Jack's competing a little bit more and

Sandoval just being like, why aren't we just? Well, he said that to him. He was like, you're trying to one up me, dude. And he's like, I love how many times Jack said, like, that it's about him. He's like, I don't want to make this about me, but it is about me. I love that. I'm getting married. Like me, Jacks Taylor, that's not my real

name, but me. We want a family. So, of course, we need a bigger house and it's going to cost more money than yours as. It was like, Jacks, what is wrong with you? And I, what do you think about that for Sandival though do you think that he is because I'm like I'm accepting of Ariana and whatever she wants to do

you know because you know we're close but but then I like feel like that's her thing but is it his thing and will he be okay with not having kids and getting married over time I was talking her Instagram you know when you stalked to the point of looking in the comments look I'm being really

honest you guys had to have no judgment and all like good for her because she's consistent she had comments like I don't know How she, like, I'll put a picture up with my husband. I don't get, like, why aren't you guys having babies and, like, you'd make beautiful kids? No one writes that on my photos. She gets a gazillion of that, and everyone she answers, why.

No exclamation, no question mark. People will be like, you should have kids. She's like, why. And then there's no way to combat that. She literally just writes why, you guys. On every single one of those comments, I was shook by it. And then one person was like, you'd make beautiful baby. She's like, that's not a reason.

So she obviously feels a very passionate. about this and and again I'm deal with it if you guys want to live happily ever after just you too have fun go out that's great but the other person needs to like actually fully like who wouldn't want to hang out with Ariana like for the rest of their lives like she's awesome right you know yeah but if he wants that inside and it's going to be there you know then I don't know why for me that just feels like something's missing from them but I can't say what it is exactly I wonder because they're really good partners like they're very supportive and very like they seem really close but it was funny to me

that when he came to BravoCon in that drag that Ariana said that she was supposed to do like the her part of it like she was supposed to be a dude and then she just didn't do it

but he followed through he followed through and I was like you kind of screwed him there like you just didn't do it and he was by himself well that episode I will say like all the guys in drag when they did

Schwartz's Bachelor party, I was like, this is fine, this is natural. But when I saw Ariana and drag, I was like, I'm uncomfortable. I don't want it. Oh, and I will say I'm very happy for La La that she's sober now. She's celebrating like, what, seven months? Yeah, at that point. But then when they showed the Monty, of like drunk la la I was like but those were the best la la moments but do you think that's

really only drunk la la la yeah I'm wait I hope not I hope I feel like that's such a like not that I'm happy she's sober but when they showed those things and she's like I'm not that person I'm like really it only came out because there were things there that were like during brunch like how drunk were you she was like working so obviously there was no alcohol yeah so I feel like she has it in her to like be like that. So I hope we get that because I like that about her. Right. Yeah. Well, there's going to be more

Randall this season too. So I mean, even if we don't see like crazy acting up Lala, we're going to see a side of her we haven't really interacting with him and kind of more of their relationship. Yeah. It's weird. Like do you ever think like when I see Lala's stories

and she's like in bed, it's like now not how I would picture Lala's like headboard. Like do you ever think about those things? Yeah, but what is it? Now it's like, it's like an old-fashioned one that like... With the rot iron? Do you know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, yeah. It's like a very old-fashioned headboard. I see. The house is also very like, I feel like not Lala. You know what I mean? I think when she says she maintains a household, she just like lets Randall do what he wants. Well, I think a blowjob only gets you so much voting power and where you live and what you buy.

You can stay in the house. You just can't just. but I loved how um she she's really emotional and I like that about her like she legit cried to Lisa she was like you took me in which again we don't know what that means like what she was doing before she came on the show or to sir but I love when people like really show she just started crying to her and she's like you gave me you know she did she gave them all she gave them all you know what what the show is but I have to say I got goosebumps throughout the premiere, I was literally things.

Weren't there like a lot of funny moments? Oh, yeah. Just like a lot of like L-O-L moments that I forgot. Well, and any time they showed Raquel, I felt like they wanted us as an audience to laugh a little. Do you know what I mean? Like just she herself is comedic relief. True.

True. They're like, because she actually really didn't say anything, right? She did have the little bit. about like leaving James behind when she went to sir and like referring him as like a little puppy or whatever and I was just like this is peak Raquel right now and her saying to Lisa I think being a pageant queen has really prepared me for being a server I feel like my pageant training has really prepared me to work here okay I've never heard that one before but okay well because I greet my tables with confidence and with a big smile that made sense to me it's not that it does

It doesn't make sense. It's just so, like, that's so Raquel. Right. Yeah, it's true. I wonder, do you think they're going to last? Like in a weird way, right? Like, in some weird way, you're like, they're going to last. Yeah.

Yeah. And what do you think? Do you think Britney's pregnant? Why is that a rumor? I don't know. I just feel like she's going to get pregnant in like five seconds. Oh, yeah. For sure.

And, oh, well, Jack's actually puts shit up about it. He put up, like, you know, that they count the ovulating days, which He puts up, like, weird memes about it that make me uncomfortable. It's like weird cartoons or whatever, and it's like a military woman and she's like, this is the day we're going to have sex. I feel like, did he get like, did she say that was okay? I feel like that's a weird thing. But he puts up weird shit.

Did you see that he put up the video of her drunk ordering pizza and his, her mom commented saying, please take this down? Oh my God. No, he was not pleased. Yeah. No, I didn't. But how funny was the drama with a t-shirt, with a. Jacks blocked me on Twitter.

Oh, yeah. That was so good. That was good. Sometimes I find out about things just through Jack. So, like, I was just, like, looking at it, and he posted this thing, and I was like, there has to be a backstory. It's like, he just didn't post a tweet saying his shirts are better than someone else's shirts on Etsy.

I need to look into it. And it's so funny because I had Ariana on my podcast, and I asked her about it, and she said that she was, she wanted to wear to BravoCon. something merchie. She went on Etsy. This girl didn't send her the shirt or anything. She went on Etsy and typed in like Vanderpump Rule, like whatever. This came up.

She ordered it. She thought it would be funny. So it's not even like this girl sent it to her for free, like that she was doing. She bought the shirt. And then Jacks comes out, you know, saying he's doing it with Kristen and that the shirt that he's doing with Kristen is the original and not that one. And, you know, I asked her and she just is like speechless. It's just such a, like, Jack's thing to do.

Right. We're like, really? This? This? So they're not going to come out with it. James May is not going to come out with the Jacks blocked me. T-shirts. Damn it.

It's not going to happen. It's a great idea. And I said, imagine being that girl on Etsy, seeing an order from Ariana, like, not even promoting it. How fun is that? Where is it to BravoCon? That makes it. She's, that's cool. Yeah.

Well, their new house. I thought it was funny that, um, Ariana said that they were kind of the leaders of like getting a house and that everyone copied them. You know what I mean? She was like, some people are followers and some people are leaders. Oh, my goodness. And then you look at the houses and the way they edited it is so perfect. Oh, yeah.

And they're all like literally so similar. It's true. And so close by. Yeah. And just so funny. But we don't really get to see, I guess, inside so much yet or like what's going on. Yeah. Because I feel like if you actually went over there,

don't you think there'd be Vannerpump Rules posters everywhere? Like, I don't know. Stasi teased that there is a room in Tom and Katie's house. Really? That may or may not be dedicated to her. What? Oh, yeah. No, she has like her own guest room, like guest room, but it's just for Stasi.

Yeah. So I'm curious to know what that looks like. They are so good to her. I know. She's like their love child. No, but Tom Schwartz and his moomoo. Didn't you love that? I need a moomoo.

And then Jacks is like, I didn't get the memo that we need to wear like jamas. Because him and Sandy were so cute together and he was kind of like left out. I think he did get the memo. I mean, we know that he doesn't always check his messages. Sannevall called him out. He was like, you responded to this text message. He was like, oh yeah, I guess I did. It was such a moment of like realness.

He was like, like you're man he's like scrolling on up and he's like oh yeah I guess I guess you did but I think I either general vibe from Jacks he wants more he wants the year to be like a bride year for him and I guess like no one really like you know it's your thing we're happy for you but like you're not going to get attention all day every day about it we're not every day going to be like jack's Taylor you know the ultimate bachelor is getting married let's all like freaking die over it so he needs to get over himself image of him mowing the lawn while Brittany is like on the porch I was just like wow things have

changed but also the same I mean the this the super tease for the rest of the season yeah looks good oh yeah I want to know why Britney's so mad at sandable mm-hmm well I can guess that he like never defends jacks and he so is like anti-jacks because she always gets really mad about that definitely the witches of we ho oh I want to know what happens with that no mo no no Her nomo. And a lot of parties, a lot of drunken antics, and the wedding. No, it's going to be so good. I mean, I think one other thing to note, too, is, like, Lisa Vanderpump.

This is the only place we're going to get her now. That's a good point. That's crazy. Maybe she'll have, like, more storylines. Maybe. And she's going to put more of her, like, effort into it. So that's good. I was a little triggered when, like, Lala showed up and, like, Lisa greeted her

because she had like the sweater over her shoulder the same way she greeted Kyle when they had that throwdown last season on Bev Hills I was just like oh God I was like I hope this goes okay and Lala's like it's what changed so much when the first seasons is like how made up they are for you know every episode
