The following podcast is a dear media production.
Welcome back to the Not Skinny Bonafat podcast.
I'm your host, Amanda Hirsch, and I still can't believe that I get to chat with some of my favorite stars from my very own podcast, where you'll feel like you're just talking shit with your best friends in your living room.
What a week last week was. I mean, it's just, it's like breakup season. It's breakup season. Cash Warren, I can't believe I said his name first. That's fucked up. Jessica Alba announced her divorce from husband of 20 years. Cash Warren. They really seemed like such a solid couple. Jessica Simpson and her hobby are splitting. And then the one that really hit home for me was Matt James and Rachel Kirkconnell, the Bachelor couple. That like shot me out of bed.
I was not okay.
They are so freaking adorable.
Like, they're reels and they're eating everything and her not gaining weight from it.
Love it.
Love it.
Didn't even hate her for it.
Okay?
That's how much I like them.
Really, they seem like endgame.
I was wondering all the time, like, when is this guy going to propose to the best thing that's ever happened to him?
And that was a little weird to me.
It also was a little odd to me that, like, they're just, I mean, as a non-travely person,
I can't imagine just traveling all.
the time and not being home because I'm the opposite. I'm like, I want my bed. I want my home.
And they're just like everywhere all the time. And I'm like, I do feel like she would have
wanted to settle down. So I always wondered, like, when's that ring coming? Is there going to be
an ultimatum at some point? Why isn't he locking this down? And then as they're like a broad,
or at least they're like a broad content is coming out, he posts this breakup post that is so weird.
it is a picture from the bachelor when they were in when they were on the season now matt james
a reason that he triggered me before was because he never talks about the bachelor he won't bring
it up he doesn't want to talk about it he doesn't like being associated with it and it's like
dude know where you came from but he literally posted a bachelor pick he never does that the location
he put his name a colon which is the where the bachelor was shot then so i'm like okay and then
it was like lord please protect me and rachel from like the heartbreak because we
ended our relationship.
It was just bizarro.
Turns off comments.
Rachel hasn't posted anything.
Then rumors start to swirl.
Like, what could it happen?
People are like, oh, maybe it's like they ended their relationship because they've become
fiancés.
Okay.
No.
Then it was like, did you lose fantasy football?
No.
Just all these like TikTok green screen bullshit, right?
Now, I love that we did get some sort of confirmation.
This is true because Rachel.
one of her last reels is like for his birthday
and she had started liking a few comments
that were like, I'm so sorry,
you were blindsided, blah, blah, blah.
To me, that's confirmation.
It just annoys me that people are even,
like, what do you guys think?
Like, are we in a simulation?
Like, this is real life.
Not everything is like a TikTok thing
or like a fucking thing.
I don't know.
I'm such a boomer.
Is TikTok even around?
Like, I'm recording this right now on Friday.
Like, is it on?
No, I mean, I guess Biden said that he was,
wasn't going to sign off in the band on Sunday.
So anyway, then the only thing that came out with any sources talking is the son.
So this son article said that Rachel was blindsided.
However, it said that she ended the relationship.
This is a source saying it, but he posted and she didn't realize he was going to post it.
And then Matt knows what he did.
So I'm like, did he cheat?
Did she find?
Well, this is what I've been saying.
If there was such a quick breakup and like, it's not like,
like Jessica Simpson and her husband were like shit could have been Rocky for years and it's just
now coming out or you know this is like no they're posting in mostly real time maybe a little
bit delayed on their trips but it's just bizarre like something happened something went down so
were they abroad did she find out he cheated she broke it off he posted the thing she's pissed
that he posted you know maybe something like that anyway this has taken me on a whirlwind I haven't
you know cared this much about a couple in a while
because I was invested.
I was watching The Bachelor then,
and they had a really interesting story.
But if you fucking heard her,
I don't know.
I'm mad.
I love that girl.
Anyway, onto today's pod.
Speaking of Girl,
Girls was one of my,
and is one of my favorite shows ever.
It's just all I want to do every day is be like,
Amanda,
you need to do a rewatch.
You need to do a rewatch because you're going to even get it more now.
You're going to feel it more.
you're going to, it's just going to be so much better than you even know. Anyway, you guys know that I love
the show girls as so many of us do. So I'm so excited that today I've on Sasha Mamet who played
Shoshana on the show. I mean, she's going to be Shosh forever. We just can't. She's fucking
Shosh. But Sasha says she's nothing like Shosh. And she's on a new show, which is actually really good.
It's called Laid and it's on Peacock. I mean, you should check it out and enjoy my conversation
with her because she's such a cool person. It was really interesting to get to know her and talk
some girls and some other stuff. So enjoy my combo with Zasha, which like, did I have to like look
up how to pronounce it? Mm-hmm. Yeah, I did. Sasha. Hi. Hi. I'm so excited you're here. I'm so excited to
be here. I'm sorry, we were late. You went to another studio. We went to another studio. Yeah,
it happens. I live in fear of being late, so. I know. I know. I
It makes me feel a little.
It makes me really, but we were talking about it when that mistake happened.
And I was like, oh my God, did we send the wrong address?
I was like freaking out.
And we were like, you know, like this shit happens.
It's okay.
You know?
It's okay.
It humanizes it.
People are late.
You send the wrong email.
You call somebody by the wrong name.
Yeah.
Like it happens.
Like it's going to be okay.
It's going to be okay.
My therapist always says, are you in danger?
Like when you're freaking out or you're super stressed and just be like, am I in danger?
Right.
Like the answer is like, like am I being chased by a T-Rex?
Right.
Like normally the answer is no.
So you feel like you do.
Yeah, you feel like you're being chased.
Right.
That's the whole anxiety is that whole thing, right?
The flight or flight is you think you're being attacked by a bear, but it's actually like...
But it's not.
The smallest thing ever happening.
And so also they say the same thing about kids because there was like a whole thing about like kids' tantrums.
Yeah.
And it's like just make sure they're safe.
Like that's for, like remind them they're safe.
You're safe.
Yeah.
You're good.
You're safe.
That's the only thing that matters.
Yeah.
Everything's okay. Do you have anxiety? No. Oh, okay. Yes, obviously. Just like...
Do you think that there are people in this world that actually don't have anxiety?
I know, yeah. You really do. It depends what kind. Are we talking about the, like, fake? Like, I'm so anxious. I'm like going or the real kind.
No, like, yeah. The like hard palpitations, the like sweating, the nervousness.
No, like, do you think there are actual individuals who exist on this planet who walk around and do not have anxiety? I do.
Aren't you so jealous of them?
I just am like, are they, I just don't know.
Are they alive?
I just don't, yeah.
Like, is there a pulse?
Like, do I believe that?
And you wouldn't like them, probably.
They're not very deep.
Everything is, like, good.
I don't think they're very interesting.
Right.
Like.
Ignorance is bliss, though.
Sure.
Like, they're probably happier than I am, but, like, I don't know if they'd be fun to hang out with.
I think that, like, reality TV people might, a lot of reality TV people I met, I'm like, wow.
Like, you're just.
Oh, they just don't.
You're just like.
You're on another planet.
You don't even see what's going on right now.
Yeah.
And I'm like, you don't want to be that.
I haven't met a lot of reality TV people.
Are you into reality TV at all?
Yes, but I would say in like, off-brand reality TV.
Like, I've become recently, my new obsession is the Great British Bake Off.
Okay.
I don't know if that can really be, I don't know if that would exist within, I mean, it's under the umbrella of reality television.
Is that a real tattoo?
It is.
Wow.
Yeah.
Tell me about it.
My heart?
Yeah.
It was one of the first tattoos I ever got.
Wait, was that by Jemima?
No.
Okay.
She did not give me that.
This guy named JK5 gave me this tattoo.
It makes me sound way hard more hardcore than I am.
Makes you sound so hardcore.
It makes you sound very hardcore.
I'm not that hardcore.
He may have been a recommendation from her as a tattoo artist, though.
But he, who knows where he is now?
He used to have a studio on the Lower East Side.
Yeah, I woke up one day and I was like, I really want a heart tattoo on my palm.
You did.
I was doing- When was this? What era of your life was this?
This was right when I met my husband. So I was doing this play, the play that we met doing,
and I was such a dumb ass. Our costume designer, when I walked in with it, was like,
what the fuck were you thinking? Because you're in the play?
We all had to move the sets ourselves. Like, all of the sets were on wheels and all of, we didn't have, like, a backstage group.
So, like, we all, so I'm literally, like, pushing couches around.
healing as like my the palm of my hand is just like an open wound you know that's so surprising so you
did the play when like years ago 2011 2011 so 2011 so 20 that's in good condition for a hand tattoo and
I've never touched it up so is it a myth that hand tattoos come off no it's not a myth it's definitely
not a myth it really depends on how much you wash your hands is yeah I never wash my hands I'm a filthy
filthy person. No, I think it's like anything. It's like depends on how your skin wears. Like I have a
tattoo on my ankle that I got with Kaylee after first season of flight attendant. Was it the boop one?
No, it's not that one. Okay, 100 tattoos. We actually had to count for something recently for a job.
I have 42 tattoos. Wow. What? Who am I? Okay, hardcore. Anyways. Wait, so what's what did you
go with Kaylee? What is that one? We got this little.
like it's supposed to be a little like paper airplane with a little like we got it with our
costume department oh because flight attendant that's so cute cat thomas our costume designer designed it
and yeah we all went and got them together and it's like on my ankle which you would think it's less
play than my palm and i've had it touched up twice and it keeps oh really yeah i don't know so it just
kind of depends on but that's it does make you hardcore that heart well thank you that you woke up
One day, and you said, I want a giant heart the size of my palm on my palm.
Yeah.
And hashtag, no regrets.
No regrets.
Still love it.
Still love it.
Because I have ones, like, in the back, like I have my college dorm room, which is super dumb.
I think that's cute.
I know.
I don't care.
Like, I don't see it.
The number.
Not like an actual sketching.
Right.
318 is here.
So, and I don't see it ever.
So it really doesn't bother me.
And then I have an ome that I copied from Melissa Milano.
Amazing.
She has cool tattoos.
look it up. I was into Charmed. And like, oh, I'm like, how funny. How, like, 17 years old
is it to get an home? But I don't see them. But for you, you, like, see the heart all day and you
still love it, which means a lot. You know, it's funny, though? I forget that it's there.
It's kind of like, in one. It's like morphed. Like, I get freaked out when they have to cover
my tattoos for work, it makes me feel naked. You're like Pete Davidson. Yeah. Just sitting in the
chair for, well, he's getting that. He got them all removed. He did? Yeah. Oh,
So apparently some regrets for him.
For him.
But you, but for jobs, like, do they get annoyed when it's like they have to cover it up?
You know, I am trying to think.
I haven't had a job, like, for Laid, we didn't cover any of them.
I've gotten clearances, like, in perpetuity from all the artists.
So, because this is an interesting thing I learned when I started getting tattoos.
You know, like, if we had a piece of art on this wall, we'd have to get clearance from the artist to use it.
But the tattoos are on my body.
but I don't own the rights to them.
So who does?
The artist.
Oh, so they have to contact JK 550.
Mm-hmm.
Have they contacted him before?
Well, so my entertainment lawyer had this really an idea early on when he was like,
when you get a tattoo, we should just get the artist to sign something that's like...
No, I cannot.
But isn't that strange?
That is so crazy.
It's my body, but they own, they own, you know, unless it's like, I don't have any tattoos.
of like
licensable,
you know,
like people who have
like a Disney
something than like,
you know.
Right.
That's more obvious.
That's a whole other,
that's such an interesting thing.
Learned something new, right?
First of all,
let's go back to your name though.
Sure.
Sasha.
Yeah.
How many people get it wrong?
Everyone.
Your whole life.
My whole life.
Like what do they call you?
Zosia.
Zosha,
Zosha,
probably.
Zosha,
you know.
Do people get it right
right away?
Well, okay, there was a guy who worked, there was a janitor who worked at Silver Cup when we were shooting girls.
Which is here in New York.
Which is here in New York who was Polish, who I guess got it right except he got it right in the way that he told me I was getting it wrong.
He was like, he was like with his, I'm going to do a terrible Polish accent, so I won't even try.
But he was like, you pronounce your name wrong.
It should be Zosha.
Uh-huh.
And I was like, sure, except.
I'm not in Poland.
In Poland.
And also I didn't give myself this name and my parents told me this is how I pronounce it.
Yeah.
So like we just and every time he would see me on set, he would just like scowl at me and tell me.
He didn't like that you were fucking it up.
No, he really felt like I was a disappointment.
Wait, do you know that it's like, there was like a vampire?
Oh my God.
So you need a tattoo of a vampire.
My best friend Stephanie on Halloween sent me this link and the link came up as like,
remains discovered
Polish vampire
and I was like
okay we were sending
voice notes back and forth
and I was like okay
she had been like
did you click on the link
and I was like
stuff I'm really busy
I'm like running errands
I can't read about this weird
like skull discovered in Poland
she was like just trust me
and I was in the supermarket
and I opened the link
and I fucking screamed
and dropped my phone
because they're like
am I a vampire?
Are you?
I don't know
wait it means wisdom
I looked that up
did you know that?
I did not know that it means wisdom.
You've never looked into this?
I thought, no.
You didn't look like the first thing, aside from you, it comes up the vampire.
The vampire.
And that it means wisdom in Polish.
But like this bitch was apparently a real issue.
The Zosha, for example?
The Zosha vampire.
They put her in the ground in, they put like a scythe over her neck.
Because I guess then they were, their reasoning, according to it.
Wait, this is a real life person that they thought was a vampire?
Supposedly, there was this woman who they thought was a vampire who is wreaking havoc on this town in Poland.
I don't know if they—I think there's some nefarious shit went down and they murdered her and then they buried her and they put a scythe over her neck because I guess their reasoning was like, if she wakes up, it's going to decapitate her.
First, they padlocked her into this grave, into this grave, into her coffin.
And then they were like, that's not enough we need to do the scythe thing.
And then when they dug her up to put the scythe over her neck, the padlock was open.
She wasn't fucking in there.
And now the lore goes that she like wreaks havoc on this town.
But that's because she wasn't there.
I was like, am I her?
Am I this crazy Polish vampire?
And I don't know.
I'm really sleepy all the time.
I hate garlic.
Yeah.
Garlic is so bad.
What else?
It fucks up your stomach.
It gives me a terrible tummy.
right but what are the other what are there like symptoms of being vampire um you sleep right tired super
tired super white very pale right oh yes i'm allergic to the sun that's what it is okay are you allergic
to the sun i have like an actual like sun i get like a weird rash when i'm in the sun for too long so i don't
know i mean you are a vampire i mean oh my god no i love that story i was like did your parents
name you after this vampire or did they name you because it was them or
or I am her.
Or you just are her.
And I came out and I was like,
this will be my name.
I don't care.
I love that your friend sent you that in the middle of the life and you never heard of it.
Never heard of it.
That's crazy.
But we have her to thank for me now being in the know.
I know.
And you need a tattoo of a vampire.
You need a vampire.
You need a vampire tattoo.
But you know what?
Because of girls, I think, I think because of girls or your general vibe,
I like pictured you being from New York.
And you're not from New York.
I thank you.
I very much appreciate that.
Yeah, it's a cool thing.
Yeah, yeah.
Everyone says that.
Yeah, I think everyone thinks I'm a New Yorker, which I take as a compliment.
I mean, I was born in Vermont, which is where my family used to have a house.
We were all born in like the, I mean, I was supposed to say the rural parts of Vermont.
And then I was like, what part of Vermont isn't rural?
It's all woods.
And then moved to Cambridge, Mass, like a couple months in to life.
To life.
Okay.
Lived there until I was five.
split my time between L.A. where we moved in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Split your time from age five? From age five until like 17. And then I lived in L.A. until I moved to New York
for girls when I was like 21, I think. Oh, so you lived in New York for girls all those years. How many
years was that? I mean, all told, including shooting the pilot was like seven years. I mean, I
I stayed, yeah. Wow. So when you had to move to New York for it, were you excited? Were you?
I was, at the time, I was very excited to have the job. At the time, I had, like, just moved to Venice in California. I had just started dating this guy. And I was, like, just kind of starting to, like, figure out my adult life in L.A. And so. How old were you?
21. 21. Yeah. Baby child. Baby child.
And you got some gigs before girls.
Like you were in some sub.
You were in Mad Men.
Yeah, I was in Mad Men.
I'd been doing a bunch of TV.
I was working on Mad Men.
I did...
Oh, Parenthood.
United States of Tara.
I did something else?
So did you almost pass this up?
Because you were like, wait, everything's vibing.
I'm in L.A.
I'm getting jobs.
Did I almost pass up girls?
No.
Hard no.
Hard no.
Like you were like, I'm doing everything for it.
But I was supposed to be a guest star.
on the, just like in the pilot.
I heard that.
Yeah, there was a, there was a crazy story of how I got that.
What?
Tell me.
The Cliffs Nose version, I was shooting this really terrible indie film in upstate New York.
And I had pneumonia.
But I was in like every scene of the movie.
And so, and we like had no money and no time and whatever.
So I didn't have time to go to the doctor and they brought an onset doctor who kept telling me,
I think the producers paid her off to like tell me the,
I just had a cold.
And she kept giving me like echinacea and recola.
Wait, and was this shooting in the in the cold?
Oh, yeah.
So we were shooting.
It was the coldest October on record.
Oh, my God.
There were no pumpkins for Halloween that year because all the fucking pumpkins froze.
And like there were no pumpkins to be had.
Like that's how cold it was.
And we were cheating early September.
So I was in like, you know, maybe a long sleeve t-shirt.
And we were shooting.
It was like pretty much 97% exteriors.
And I got pneumonia.
And they kept bringing back this like country doctor.
And I literally, you could like, if you put your hand on my chest, you could like feel the liquid in my lungs rattling.
Oh, that's so scary.
And she was like, oh, it's like allergies or like, just take some vitamin C, sweetie and like drink some ginger tea with lemon.
And I was like, okay.
And I had to make a tape for girls.
I got this audition.
And I made a tape.
and I sent it in and I got the part
and they were having a table read
But you got the part from the tape alone
I got the part from the tape
Oh because it was just a one
It was like a
It was like two scenes or something
Wow
And I came into the city
For this table read
We had like one day off
And I spent the night at my friend's place
And I was really worried
I live in fear of being late
So I was really worried of like
Being fresh faced the next day
Because I was so sick, whatever
and on my way from the train station, so I'd taken the train in, I was like, you know what, I don't really take NyQuil, but like I'm just going to grab a NyQuil and like make sure I get a good night's sleep. And I took to NyQuil. And I remember waking up and I remember getting to the table read. And I remember meeting Lena and Jud. And then I literally do not remember anything else until I wake up on my friend's floor like hours later. And I was like drenched in sweat. And I was like drenched in sweat.
just like on the floor of her apartment.
Okay, that's giving me anxiety.
And I had this weird fever dream memory that I had projectile vomited, like on the table
at the table read.
And I brantically called my agent.
I was like, did I?
I think I fucked up.
And he was like, okay, chill out, like go back upstate, finish the movie.
Like, don't worry.
We'll figure it out.
And I was like, no, no.
I think that like, A, I'm getting fired and B, like, everyone thinks I'm.
I don't know, a druggie, unhinged, at least unprofessional.
And he didn't call me back for like a week.
And I just spun out for a week.
Yeah.
And then I got a call from him while I was on set.
And he was like, you didn't throw up.
They said you were amazing.
They hadn't called me back because they were like rewriting an offer because they want to
make you a series regular.
We'll be right back after the break.
I've told you guys this before that I'm such a.
bar girly. Like I will have, like, I've done a what's in my bag before. And what's in my bag are like
three different kinds of bars and a lot of lip stuff. Like that's what I will have in my bag. A bar to
me is just so necessary as a snack. So I'm going to hold you over, something quick to eat in
between. Like, there's always a snack bar in my bag. Okay. I just love bars. One of my favorites
right now is IQ bar. It's really great. It's plant powered. It's free from gluten, dairy, soy
GMO and artificial sweeteners. It has more fiber, less sugar, and carbs than the alternatives with
nine amazing flavors like mint chocolate chip, chocolate sea salt, banana nut, toasted coconut chip.
I love toasted coconut chip. Can we anything coconut? Lemon, blueberry, peanut butter chip, and more.
I really love the banana nut as well. And it's just such a good bar that has protein, like I said,
and the nutritional values are really, really good IQ bar. If you haven't tried it, this is your

We are well into 2025, which is a shocker.
I'm so glad that I'm not in school anymore and getting the date wrong.
Anyway, so many of us made New Year's resolutions.
I know I did.
So many of us have made the resolution to be drinking more mindfully in the
year 2025. And you can do that with seed lip, non-alcoholic spirits. If you haven't heard of
seed lip, it's a great non-alcoholic spirit. It's carefully crafted from a unique blend of botanicals
and spices. And it's made to be used in your favorite non-alcoholic cocktail. What I love is that
it has four flavors that are so tasty, have no added sugar, no calories, but still have so much
flavor. And what I love about it is that it's not meant to like be a non-alcoholic gin or vodka
or tequila. It actually has its own original and distinct flavor. So you can really be like
enjoying a cocktail and like feeling chic and like it being tasty and not drinking something like
loaded with sugar that's like gross and just like a cheap imitation. So I highly recommend you
start the new year right by visiting seed.

what did you do. I would spin out. I'd be like, I want to remember what I did. I would. I would run. Yeah.
Those hours are lost forever.
You think you got, like, high off the NyQuil?
Oh, yeah.
The NyQuil, like, fucked me up.
To this day, I will not.
It's, like, full on few.
You know how people describe, like, taking Ambien and, like, you know, waking up in Texas,
like, holding a chicken.
Like, that was me.
That was you.
No, that's so crazy because, like, I used to down NyQuil.
Like, today, old age makes you more anxious, like, as you probably experienced, too.
I used to pop that shit, you know, like, no bad.
I'm like, now I'm like, how many Advil are you allowed after how many hours of, oh, by the way, you're not allowed to Advil because it fucks up your stomachs. I only do Tylenol. You know, I'm like such a fucking. Oh, yeah. Tylenol doesn't do anything for me. Really? I got it to. How do you? How do you feel about eczedron? Depends.
You can't take it late at night. But during the day. That's what I'm telling you. You love excedrine. You pop too. Love it. The same woman who sent me. What if you just had a coffee. Oh, I don't. Oh, okay. See, I need to think about these things.
You're better off.
Would I rather have a migraine or be a little shaky?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You get headaches?
I get headaches.
Me too.
I think it's a tension thing.
I think it's probably because I like, you know, I clench at night.
I love how we make that shit up.
You probably don't clench a night.
You would know if you clench at night.
Well, my husband sometimes wakes me up and is like, yo, I can hear you.
So get a mouth guard.
I have one.
So it's not the gunging.
You know how you makes it up?
You're like, it's the hormones.
It's my TMJ that I don't have.
It's the this.
And sometimes I just say like, like,
like I have headaches.
Like it's just something that I have to live with.
Pop the Tylenol.
Sometimes do you ever pop them like preemptively?
Yeah.
You're like one might be coming.
Should I?
Yeah.
It's like when you have a trick knee and you like feel you're like.
Yeah.
There's a storm.
There's a storm on the horizon.
No, you know.
You're like, I have a long day.
I won't be able to eat lunch at the exact time they usually do.
I have like a small bottle in my purse.
Then like when I'm traveling,
it will be like in my purse, also in my backpack.
I have a full bottle in my tack trunk.
So you're at the barn.
So it's like one in the bathroom, one in the pantry.
It's like it's like as if I need an epi pen.
Yeah.
Except it's just.
Yes.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
Same.
I wonder what it is.
And how are you with dairy?
You were saying you're an oatmeal girl.
Yeah.
Dairy is.
So I've just started reintroducing butter into my life.
Brass fed?
Obviously.
You crazy
Not a heathen
Okay, you were actual lactose intolerant
So when I was young
It was like no gluten, no dairy
Which was fucking rough
Because what?
Just like horrific
Like doubled over in pain
Like stomach aches that were
World ending
Wow, okay
Very bad
And then my husband convinced me to take
One of those tests
Oh, okay
You prick your finger
Yeah
Like a food sensitivity
test like two years ago he was like you know maybe you're not allergic anymore and also can you
please not be so we can like have real bread in the house and I fully was no longer allergic to gluten
okay I now eat like a loaf of sourdough bread a week slash maybe in four days by myself
that you make no okay no because everyone's making them now I don't know everyone's making them
takes too long starter kits and there's too much science involved in bread making yeah like I love
to bake baked goods, but the like, it has to rise at this temperature for that. No, I don't
get it. It's not for me. But sourdough is good. Towerdose delicious. So you can do gluten.
You can do gluten. Dairy was an iffy one, so says the test. I've, like, dipped my toe back
into butter, which now seems to be fine. Like milk and cheese is not. You tried? It's not. It's not a
good match. I don't know, though, about old milk. Look into it. Look. Look. Look.
I'm just saying you're not the first no you're like the 15th person who said that to me and I'm just choosing to
It's okay you know what it's fine if you love it. It's fine
The thing is my so it has a hundred grams of sugar whatever my feeling is like
Everything in this world is bad for us yeah everything is going to kill us agree
Everything is going to give us cancer you got to just like pick your poison I know for sure if that's like the one you like
Like I'm not smoking cracks I feel like oatmeal I agree I mean didn't handle
to say it on girls. Did she? She did. She told her parents. She was like, she was like
oatmeal? No. She was like, I'm not a drug addict. Oh, yeah. I like, sure. Then everything's
fine in the world, you know? Yeah, I mean, I don't know if like every, like I for sure make,
I just, I feel like we're all going to make some bad decisions. So like, oh, maybe oat milk's mine and
I'm okay with that. Okay, good. If you love it, what kind? I'm an oatly, full fat. I know,
look, I know people, or...
I thought you were doing like a healthy old milk.
I didn't know you were doing Oatley.
No, no.
I'm not in it for like the health game.
I'm in it because for the alternative, not milk.
Okay.
Well, first of all, I'm allergic to almonds.
Okay.
Can't do almond milk.
Okay.
If I could drink dairy, I would be in half and half person.
I want it thick and creamy.
Okay, so that's what the Oli is doing for you.
Oli, but full fat.
Okay.
Or Chobani, extra creamy.
Okay.
Jemani's really good.
Those are my two.
So that's why you're a milk, because we were talking about before, you're a milk, a snob, because, right, you don't know what old milk they're using it.
Like, at Starbucks, they use, like, something weird.
The weird, anything.
Watery, you don't like it.
No.
So you can bring your own.
I've seen people do it, the same.
That's a next level move.
Okay.
Well, how many coffees do you all the day?
I'm not above it.
I'll consider it.
I wouldn't do it in front of my husband because I would never live it down.
He would just.
No.
not be into it he would just think it was which he would not be incorrect like the most ridiculous
thing i mean i've probably done my husband thinks it's ridiculous when i'm like can you get me a coffee
and ask them to put water he's like this is too much and i'm like this is nothing do you know what
girls ask for like i'm literally just asking them not to put a lot of milk he's like i'm overwhelmed
send me by text i'm like are you okay girls have the wildest orders this is nothing
very wild i know i am i am an altar though
Like, no, I'm not, I don't get crazy, but I am the person who's like, oh, if it's like this salad, like, you know, the options are like, you can have this salad with chicken or this salad with salmon. I'm like, ooh, except this salad, but with the salmon, but with the salmon and also maybe the avocado and the whatever. And he wants to die. And he's just like, I'm not with her. And I'm like, I know there's. But then. But like, shouldn't this be okay? Then he doesn't like his mashed potatoes. Who is he asking to do the switch?
He's not asking the waitress.
He's going, like, can you tell her I don't like it?
Oh, no.
Or he'll eat it and die.
No, no, no.
He won't eat it and die.
Although, you know, it was funny when I was working in Italy on the show a couple years ago,
I worked with, like, predominantly Brits.
And it was hilarious to say there were two Americans.
And we were the first ones on set.
Just to be like, yeah, sorry, this is a little, like, the coffee's actually cold.
But you was like, not trying to be, like, difficult.
But, like, if we ended up, like, they did a coffee order and then the take
ended up taking an hour, we're like, oh, can you throw it in the microwave? And the Brits
were like, and this one British actress I worked, she was like, literally, if you served me
shit on a plate, like actual feces on a plate, I would be like, thank you so much. And I would
eat the whole thing because I didn't want to offend you. And I was like, this is, I feel like we
need to unpack this. Yeah. This feels unhealthy. Don't, don't eat that. You send the feces back.
I know. And that's, I think, like, men sometimes. Like, they just get so.
shy. It'll be like, there's a hair in my food. Like, do not floss with that hair, you know?
Don't floss with it. Don't floss with the hair. Yeah. Okay, so I want to hear about when you got
girls. Yeah. Like, you started working. First of all, that's crazy because I see, what's that
studio called? It's so exciting to see, like, the one studio they have here. So never you're on the 59th Street
Bridge. I know. And you were in it. I wish I could take a tour one day. You probably can.
Like, there are a gazillion different, like, sets and rooms. Yeah, there's some, like, great history.
It's pretty, I mean, I don't know if they've redone it.
It's like, parts of it are pretty rundown, but that's part of the charm.
We, our second season, we moved to Steiner Studios in the Navy Yard.
I think there was this feeling of like the show kind of blew up and everyone was like,
and they just built Steiner and it was like new and sparkly.
And we moved there and everyone immediately was like, oh, no, no, no, no.
And we just like went back.
And we just went back to Silver Cup.
Where is the Steiner one?
I think it's in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Oh, okay.
It's also so fucking massive that.
you literally, everybody had these, like, little electric scooters.
Oh, oh, wow.
And or probably maps because, like, if you wanted to get to the canteen for lunch,
it was like a 20-minute walk to get across the studio.
That's crazy.
So, yeah, we went back to.
So where did you live when you were living in New York?
I lived all over.
I lived.
My first apartment was in No Lita.
It was on Elizabeth in between Prince and Houston.
Do you know the Aesop store?
Yes.
It's like right next door.
That's cute.
I went and visited.
I actually had to go get something at ASOP the other day for a friend.
That's a great gift to get, by the way.
I love ASAP.
I saw you're like a notorious gift giver too.
It's my favorite thing to do.
We were just discussing it on the elevator up.
Why?
We were brainstorming gifts for very special someone.
For Christmas.
Okay.
Someone was stumped for a gift for someone else.
And so we were just like, yeah.
Oh, so you can help with gifts even if you don't know the person.
Oh, no, I know this person.
Okay.
But sure.
So what's the biggest gift you ever got someone?
Biggest, like largest?
Like most impressive.
Ooh.
Or you got your husband, for instance.
That's a toughie.
I've been trying to get him.
I was trying to get him this one gift.
It was like two years in the making.
And I didn't end up coming through.
And now he knows someone that's like going to hook him up.
I was trying to send him to, um, I'm going to fuck.
what's it called? He's a huge golfer. What's the huge in Augusta, Georgia? The Masters,
thank you, Anthony. I was trying to send him to the Masters. That's a game. It's like the, it's
playoffs of golf. They're like, I don't know. It's like the golf thing. Thing. And there's a green
jacket involved. You get one for the person who wins, I think. Oh, okay. But it's like,
it's like the golf to end all golf. Does it pain you that you didn't, you weren't the one to get them to go?
It kind of bums me out because it really would have been like the crowning achievement.
He's, he claims that he is not hard to buy for.
He is the hardest person to buy for because, A, he doesn't need anything.
And B, when he does need or want something, he just gets it for himself.
DIY, like albums and stuff like that.
No, because he's not like, he's also not really a stuff person.
So I'm just like, I don't fucking.
Would he appreciate like a watch?
I've tried.
I've gotten him watches in the past.
Yeah.
He's obsessed with his Apple Watch.
I did.
Oh, you're an Apple Watch girl.
It's because you work out, huh?
I just, and, you know, honestly, the biggest thing is when I'm on my horse, I don't normally have my phone with me.
So you can just talk?
But I can just, like, see how long it's been and, you know.
My husband knows if he really needs to get hold of me when I'm on horseback.
He can.
Do you have your own horse?
I do.
Him, her?
Her.
What's her name?
Herbie.
That's so cute.
Love of my life.
Wait, so where is she?
Is she in a barn?
She's in a barn.
Is she, is it your barn?
No, it's my trainer, my horse trainer has a barn.
There's about 30 horses in the barn.
And she lives there with like other horses and you go and how far is it from your house?
Like 30 minutes.
How often do you go?
Like five days a week.
Stop.
When I'm not working.
Yeah.
And you ride.
It's not like a workout though, right?
Oh yeah.
It is?
Oh, yeah.
Like where?
Like the, like all over.
Full body?
Full body.
Huh.
Oh, yeah. Especially as you start to jump higher.
Like, if you watch, like, watching the Olympics, those riders are like, those people are fit as well.
What, like burning calories and shit?
All of it.
Really?
Oh, yeah.
Huh.
How did you get into it?
I started riding when I was like three.
Wow.
What?
Yeah.
I started when I was very young.
My older sister.
How do you start riding by yourself?
My, I learned to ride at the stable in Vermont, this amazing woman named Judy Whipple, who was just like,
badass, like salty horsewoman.
And you have memories of this, of like being three?
Yes.
Damn.
Like these are core memories.
Sickness runs deep.
Wow.
So my parents had gotten my older sister into riding.
And she was kind of like, nah.
And they'd gotten her pony.
And she didn't really care about it.
And I was like immediately obsessed.
But she took lessons for a while.
and I would go along with her.
And, yeah, some of my earliest memories,
my legs were, like, too short to get past the saddle.
Right.
The horse, like, couldn't feel that I was up there.
So, Judy.
Oh, my God, they would start running off with you if they can't feel like you're...
No, they just, like, didn't.
Like, I couldn't even get them to, like, move forward.
Oh, okay.
Because they were, like, there's...
I mean, I was three.
Like, what a three-year-old's way?
15 pounds, something like that, 20 pounds.
So Judy would, like, stand next to me,
and she would hook her arm around me,
and she would hike her foot up into the stirrup and, like, hop along to teach me like,
oh.
We'll be right back after the break.
Let's talk about real food for a hot minute.
We all know, even if we like to deviate a little bit, we all know deep down we should
be eating real whole foods that are good.
You got to read labels and try to avoid sketchy ingredients.
But sometimes there are brands that just guarantee that they're going to do that for.
for you so you don't need to read the labels anymore. That's why we love primal kitchen condiments.
First of all, I'm a condiments girl. My mom used to make dinner and like my sisters and I would
load our arms full of condiments, whatever it was. So I'm obsessed with Primal Kitchen because
they nailed the perfect combo of high quality ingredients and delicious flavor. I love their
original buffalo sauce. It's not too hot. It's super flavorful. You could drizzle and scrambled
eggs in the morning and it's so good. I also love their no dairy ranch dressing. So if you're all
about real food but need a little help making an exciting, you need primal kitchen condiments
and sauces made with real ingredients we love. They're a secret weapon for making easy dinners

There is so much to think about
when you have a baby.
So you want to make sure that
the nutrients that you're getting
are safe for you
to be taking if you're pregnant
or even if you're after that and you're breastfeeding.
And that's why I was such a relief
when I found ritual.

function, omega-3 DHA to help support fatty acid content of your breast milk and biotin

And we're back.
So you've been riding since you were three.
Yeah.
When did you buy Herbie?
Herbie, actually, Kaylee and I swapped horses.
Relatable.
I'm just kidding.
Totally.
She's just like us, guys.
I know, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever said.
Okay.
It's her horse and your horse's barn?
So, okay.
I took a break from riding in my 20s when I started shooting girls.
I just like didn't have a ton of time because I was working so much.
And my horse who I'd had since I was 12, I brought her back to the barn in Vermont thinking that like, hopefully she would be sort of closer to me.
And she ended up getting really sick and we had to put her down.
And I'd had her since I was 12 and she was four.
And it was like fucking heartbreak of the century.
And it happened really fast.
And I was shooting at the time.
And when the vet called me, they were like the most humane thing to do.
Like, she's in pain.
We need to do this now.
And so I didn't get to say goodbye.
You weren't there.
And it was fucking brutal.
And you were shooting.
I was shooting.
And they basically were like, we need to do this today.
And I couldn't get there.
Did you see her after?
I mean, I went.
went to see like where she was buried. She's buried on the property, which is nice. I know that like,
you know, that farm obviously means a lot to me. And Judy's an amazing woman. And so I knew she was
like in good hands when she passed, but it really, really rocked me. So that plus work, I took a big
break and I met my husband when I was on this break. So he didn't know me as a horse girl.
Uh-huh. You were her horse girl before there were horse girls. I was a horse girl before
being a horse girl was was a thing was hip yeah sure okay I'm not going to say I started the trend
not saying it not saying it I didn't say it but then I once girls was kind of wrapping up I was like
I you know horse girls sort of describe it as like it's like a key element to your personhood and when
you're not engaged in it it feels like part of you is missing yeah or like dormant so I was like
you know what I'm really feeling this ache
and I really want to get back into it.
So I started riding again, and my husband was kind of like,
he like, he did not know about this world.
And he was like, okay.
And then I was like, I think I might,
I think I want to get another horse.
And he was kind of like, okay, let's like see if you still stick with it.
Because he didn't, he didn't get it.
He didn't understand.
Yeah.
And then I went with my trainer at the time to help her try and find a horse for another
client.
And we went to this like backwood sail barn where they literally,
it's like they get a horse in in the morning and it's gone by the afternoon.
And I had no intention of purchasing a horse.
But I saw this horse and it was literally like, it was like a rom-com where like they see each other from across the room and like the spot like comes up and like hearts come out of your eyes.
And I fell in love with her.
This is not Herbie.
This is not Herbie.
Because you traded this horse.
And I ended up.
Well, you fell in love with this horse and you end up trading it.
But trust me.
Okay.
Everyone ended up where they're supposed to be.
So I fall in love with her.
I end up trying her.
Basically, like, there were people waiting, and they were like, what's up with that?
I was like, she's taken.
Yeah.
I call my husband to be like,
bought a horse.
Hey, he was like blowing leaves in the backyard.
I sent him a photo of this horse.
I'm like, did you get the photo?
He's like, yeah, cool horse.
And I was like, so funny story, we definitely didn't fight about it at all that night
when I got home.
I ended up buying this horse.
they don't tell you the horses come in and they like it's a fully shady business they like don't want you to be able to Google these horses they don't really they want you to like take them away and never come back so she didn't have a name but she was in a numbered stall so she was in stall 10 so we named her 10 oh cute and this horse was so fucking cool like but I'm a jumper and she did it for me but like you could tell that if she
never had to work another day in her life.
She was a lazy horse.
She wasn't lazy.
She was just like, she had like hot rich girl vibes.
Like she just kind of wanted to be like, be like pretty.
She just wanted to be like pretty and like have her hair braided and eat fancy snacks and like get massages.
Yeah.
So I brought her out to L.A. for season two of flight attendant.
I had this horrible experience at that barn and some shit went down and like poor 10 was put in like some precarious.
curious situations. And I was on the phone with Kaylee being like, I don't know what I'm going
to do because I have to come out there for like seven months. And she was like, just bring her.
So I did not know this. But when you ship a horse on an airplane, they go via FedEx.
I can't picture a horse on there. Can anyone picture a horse on an airplane right now?
Apparently, a lot of times they're actually like in the cargo hole.
Where the two cases are?
No, it's like a whole different thing. But she went on a full on FedEx airplane.
Oh, my God. So I literally have a. Do they sit? Do they sit? Do they
stand? They can't picture it. They're in like a little, it was her and this little pony and like there's a
woman who like goes on the plane with them just in case anything happens. And it's just the
animals. It's just them. So she went on that. So you shipped her from where to where? From New York to
L.A. Okay. And yeah, she came to Kaylee's ranch, which is like amazing and lovely. And oh,
she was like you can keep her here. She has a ranch. She has a ranch. She was there the whole time we
were shooting. And then while I was there, Kaylee had this horse on her property. And she was.
property who had been given her as a mare to breed, but like COVID had happened.
They didn't end up doing it.
And she kind of like needed a person.
They were like, do you mind riding her while you're here?
I started riding her.
And I cheated a little bit.
Oh, yeah.
And it was like a real, it was a real match.
It was a real, we fell hard and fast.
And Kaylee's mom is also a rider.
and she has like, her knees aren't great.
Like, she needs something really safe.
And 10 is fucking bomb-proof.
You could, like, throw a knife at her head,
and she would be like, that's weird.
Why'd you do that?
And it was Kaylee's trainer, actually,
who made the suggestion.
She was like, look, what you want to do
with your riding career,
10 does not want to do.
She is, like, perfect for Lane.
Yeah.
And Herbie is perfect for you.
Like, Herbie wants to go.
go, like, see the world and jump over big shit.
And, like, I think that...
So you traded...
So we trade in.
So much to think about as an adult and a horse girl.
It's crazy.
Together.
It's a lot.
But...
Do you have a horse tattoo?
I do have a tiny horse tattoo that Jemima did give me.
Oh, was that the...
Oh, that was the one she gave you.
That was one of the stick-in-hokes.
Wait, you let Jemima give you a tattoo, like, sober.
Yeah.
Did she have a tattooing license?
She did, like, like, prison tattoo.
Like, with the...
Damn, you are.
are hardcore. Did she, did you ask for it? Did she suggest it? I honestly don't remember.
Knowing Jemima, she could have like incepted my brain and made me think that it was my idea.
She's so cool, huh? She's very cool. Were you close on set with all the girls?
Yeah, I mean, we spent so much time together. Yeah. It was a lot. Yeah. It was such a good show.
Thanks. You guys, I mean, there is, by the way, do you know that there's like now on TikTok? I mean, everyone's like rewatching it. Gen Z is discovering it. But there's a whole
thing which is like they're saying like growing up or like maturing getting older and realizing
that Shoshana was the best character. There's this like resurgence of Shoshana that's like
literally like where were we that we didn't like growing up and realizing she's the most mature
one. She's the smartest one. She's the one that actually is going places like that kind of
thing. There's this whole thing on TikTok now. Yes. Which we love. I love that like people seem to be
watching it and still either rewatching it and like as an older generation still connecting
with it or like a younger generation connecting with it in this like with the same potency
makes me feel like makes me just feel like have you rewatched it like I haven't rewatched it
but I'm trying to get Lena to write a show spin off I've been like slowly working on her
and I will see she seems herself stop I just honestly she's the only
character that I, not to say that I haven't enjoyed playing all these other characters, but
like, she's the only one that I like, miss.
She's in your heart.
I like miss her, which is so weird.
Did you see yourself in her?
No.
No?
No.
And maybe that's it.
It's like she, I'm like, I'm not like a method actor.
I don't write back stories for my character.
No shade to anyone who does.
It's just not like how I roll.
Yeah.
But she to me has always been like, do you?
animals. A dog, yeah. Do you ever get a feeling when you're on your way home where you want to
text your dog and tell them you're going to be home soon? Yeah. I feel that way about her.
Like you want to know what she's up to? Yeah, I'll be like, oh my God, I wonder what she's doing today.
Like, I'll want to like text her. And then I'm like, what I can't. So what did you think about her,
like ending it with Ray? Oh my God. It broke my heart. Really? I mean, I know. I don't think
it was wrong necessarily. I do sometimes hold out hope, though, that maybe they like found each other
again. I also just, I love Alex Carpowski with such a, like a deep, deep love as a human and an actor. And, like,
working with him was so joyous. And so, yeah, it made me, made me really sad. I love that show she's in
your heart. Was it, so was there anything, though, about her that you did? Because you're so different,
you're saying. Yeah. But was there anything about her that is you? I think my husband always says
that I shoot from the hip, that I'm a very, like. Your husband, is it? Is it?
husband sounds like a dad, you know? Shoot from the hip. It's such a, like, a dad thing to say. Like, a real,
like, dad from the 1950s. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah. Just that I'm very, like, I kind of react,
like, spur of the moment to things. And I often go off of, like, my first gut instinct. Yeah.
And then sometimes after the fact, like, we'll be having a conversation and he'll be like,
oh, maybe we should write an email to that person and check in about, like, and he'll be like,
what are you doing? And I'll be like, I sent the email. Oh, my God, in the same way.
And he, like, he will read an email 20 times before.
Oh, my God, same.
He said, but yeah, I'm just like, we do it.
You do it.
And sometimes it's bad.
Sometimes it's good.
But you did it.
Who cares?
It's just, it's who we are.
It's out in the world.
And I feel like she, but I'm also a huge, like, overthinker because I have anxiety.
So I'm, I don't know.
I, I contain multitudes.
And I think she was similar in those two ways.
Like, she was very kind of like, she vogue.
vomited herself up into the world, but also would spin about shit.
And she said such, like, she had, like, important messages, and she did say what she felt,
like, when she felt like the friend group was kind of, like, ignoring her.
Yeah.
She was like, I'm invisible to you guys.
And, like, she said to Marnie, like, she said what she was thinking, like, your husband's saying.
She said what she was like, I'm the awkward friend to Bella.
What did she think she was?
She was like, you're Bella from Twilight.
Oh, that scene.
They just, someone just, I saw that.
Someone posted it where she's on the bed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And she's like, I'm the awkward friend of, what's your name, Bella Swan?
I never read.
I never read or saw Twilight.
Oh, really?
Well, you said it.
I did say it.
And Sex and the City.
Your character was upset.
Are you?
Did you love Sex and the City?
Yeah.
I watched and rewatched and rewatched that show.
I was like far too young.
Wait, so how do you feel about just like that and just like that?
Full disclosure, I have not watched it.
First of all, now I'm more shocked because we talked about Yellowstone.
you came in and as a horse girl.
Well, okay.
So what I didn't get to finish saying about Yellowstone, my husband and I started Yellowstone
and were obsessed.
And I think it had, it hadn't, there were a couple of seasons and we got, it was that
type of situation where you're like, when are you going to be home?
I'm going to be home at because like how many episodes can we get in tonight?
Yeah.
And we went so hard on it.
And then I think we got a little honestly overwhelmed by the drama.
Okay.
Which one?
Not in a bad way.
Like,
what,
which part?
We were, like,
we were feeling.
Well, also,
the horses must be a lot for you,
like when sometimes they shoot them and stuff.
Oh, that's,
I have a hard time with that.
Yeah.
But, like,
my imaginary TMG,
TMG, TMJ.
The made up, yeah.
TMZ that we talked about at the beginning,
got worse because I was so stressed out about the family and, like,
are they going to sell the ranch and what's going to happen?
Yeah.
It became too much.
The drama of Beth and Rip, like, I just, so we took a break.
Yeah.
And then we both ended up leaving to go do various jobs and we haven't.
So we need to pick it back out.
You have to make it a priority, even though I can't say that like the new half of the season because of the drama with Kevin Costner.
Like, I can't, I don't know if I can recommend part two of season five.
Understood.
But at least catch up to where you're left off.
For sure.
Your new show Laid.
Yeah.
Is on Peacock.
It is.
When this comes out, it's a little going to be out.
Okay.
So pretend.
It's on Peacock.
It's on PCA. It's not a cool concept of a show. Thank you. So you worked with Stephanie.
I said thank you like I wrote it. I did not. Thank you. Thank you so much. Because it's kind of murder mystery. Yeah. So Stephanie Schu plays the she, all of her exes die. Yeah. And she, you're her bestie. You go to find out why kind of thing. Yeah. All of her exes are dying in the order that she slept with them in. Okay. But not in a like run of the mill STD way in.
like very odd, often gruesome, bizarre ways.
Yeah.
And so we're trying to, yeah, we got to go suss, like, what that's all about.
It's so, do you, are you a murder mystery person?
I love a murder mystery.
Yeah.
Love.
Love.
Like, real life, like podcasts and stuff like that.
I am, I am into it, but I'm also a huge wuss.
Mm-hmm.
So sometimes true crime, like, I can't do, like, when I'm on my own traveling in a hotel room
by myself.
Yes.
But, like, we were on a long drive a while ago and downloaded All Be Gone in the
dark on tape and listen to, like, six straight hours of it.
And all of a sudden we turned to each other, we were like, should we like take a break from
this?
Just like deep into the golden, what was it?
Golden State Rapist?
No.
East Area Rapist.
Anyways, but like fictional murder mystery all day long.
That's like my main source of reading material.
Oh, really?
When I'm working and I'm working and I'm.
I'm trying to memorize lines.
I can't read anything that takes...
That makes sense.
So I just like, I will, oh, my God.
Oh, so this is right up your alley.
Ruth Ware, like, all day long.
Give me all of that.
What did I just read?
Oh, my God, I just read one from the guy
who wrote The Silent Patient, which was,
my God, talk about Twist.
I don't...
Alex McAllenides, I think his last name is.
He just wrote a new one that was...
So you can do that, read a script,
and it won't throw you off.
Like, you need the murder mystery vibes.
I just need something that, like, pulls me in.
So did this, like, really draw you in this show because it has, like, a little murder mystery vibes?
I mean, I dug that for sure.
But I think, like, more than anything, it was just the premise as a whole was something that I had never read or heard or seen.
Yeah.
Which is so rare in this time of, like, remake obsession.
And it's female-led, which is so fun.
Female-led, female-created, female-run, female-female.
And you have some cute.
Camios. I saw Phineas is one of the dudes. We have some Billy Elish's bro. Crazy cameos.
Yeah? We have some crazy cameos on this show. Like secret ones that we don't, that are not out.
We have a, we have a, yeah. And Michael, I love that guy. Michael. And Guarana. He's the best. He's the best in the whole world.
So, married to my Erskine, who is also the two of them, I mean, power together. So, they're so sweet. So it was a fun cast to work with and everything.
Everyone, Andre Highland, amazing. Tommy Martinez. So wait, so is it going to come out? Like, is it bingeable? Is it one episode a week? All at once. All at once. All at
It was a big debate, but I was really on the drop it once.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
That's always a debate for me, too, because I do kind of like, because something about the, when it's
bingeable is always like, yes, that's what you want.
But sometimes when they make you wait, does it like...
It's like a kid.
You're like, I want to eat the whole cake, but will it make me sick?
Exactly.
So everybody, go watch it.
It's going to be such a fun show laid.
It's on Peacock.
All at once, people.
All at once.
And so fun to see you on screen.
And it's funny that you and Kaylee.
you're bestie.
Yeah.
You're both in like
murder mystery vibe shows.
I know.
We just did some press in L.A.
Together.
Because it's both peacock.
I love it.
So we got to like cross promote a little bit.
And the boop tattoo we need to talk about.
Oh yeah.
Tattoo is a lot of the theme because I love boop.
I love the word boop.
It's great word.
But I think we're saying it different.
I think we have different.
Your boop is the literal boop.
Well.
Where to come from?
Tell me where are you and Kayla.
Yeah.
What do you think?
What does Boop mean to you?
Boop to me is more like.
Boop, like, blah, blah, blah.
Like, meaning like, okay, so let's say I post a picture of myself.
Yeah.
And I'm like, like, my room is so messy, but I also have like a diamond, like a giant diamond ring.
So I basically posted it for everybody to see my diamond ring.
So it'd be like, boop, huge diamond ring.
Kind of like surprise, like.
Boop's like, is it like a little winky?
It's a little cheeky.
It's a little like boop like Jennifer Aniston.
commentant at my post. No big deal. You know what I mean? So it's like, it's like the bubbly version of
NBD. Huh. Maybe. But like kind of like, right. Okay. But like kind of the one that like, like,
like you're saying without saying or like you don't want to like, you know what I mean? Like boop.
Kim Kardashian was on my pod. So it's like a humble brag. Okay. Yes. So boop is your version. Boop is
humble. Like I literally made merch saying boop and I don't know how to explain my boob. I.
You have merch that says boo?
I do.
I'll send you.
What?
I know.
I got really into the boop.
I would say it all the time.
That's why everyone, when you guys got the tattoo, everybody sent it to me.
Like, everybody.
That's so interesting.
Yeah.
But then I saw you guys doing the nose thing.
So that's how it started was Kaylee in our chemistry read, improvved, doing that to me and went,
boop.
And then we just started calling each other boop.
And then Boop sort of became a catch-all phrase for, like,
our nicknames for each other and also sort of like it's like a term of endearment like you call
each other boo we call each other boop okay so it's not really the nose thing i mean it is it is
it's an you can't explain either it's an emotional nose thing which also just means like i love
you okay but like but yeah it's also our nickname for each other so boop is so multi boob poop can be
whatever the fuck you want apparently you know how like love is love love is boop is boop is boop that's
why we can't even explain it.
Because it is, because it is.
It's just so good.
Boop.
You could just use it anything.
You could use it for anything.
Whatever you want.
Let's do some quick, quick girls' cues before you go.
Oh, my God.
Okay.
What's your favorite utensil?
Probably spin.
Okay.
Is your favorite holiday Halloween?
No.
What is it?
Christmas.
Oh.
Wait, you're not, are you, you're half.
But you're half Jewish half Buddhist, I thought.
No, no.
Okay.
Bye Wikipedia.
That's made up?
Well, I mean, my mom is a practicing Buddhist, but she became a Buddhist when I was like 15.
So when did Christmas?
Well, I grew up first with my mom predominantly until a little bit later in life.
And she went hand.
My grandmother mostly went like hard on Christmas.
Wait, do you do Jewish stuff too?
Like when I was living with my dad, I would, but like I wasn't.
Like Shosh is way more Jewish than you.
Shosh is way more Jewish.
Okay.
So Christmas is favorite.
I would say, like, I didn't really have, like, a practicing religion growing up.
Mm-hmm.
Like, my mom didn't really introduce me to a religion growing up
and then didn't really have an introduction to Judaism until I moved in with my dad when I was older.
But, yeah.
So not really.
Not really a religion.
Not really a religious.
Yeah.
But love Christmas.
But love Christmas.
Okay, I asked you about a show breaking up with Ray.
Like, are you pro, like, it was hard for you, but you think it was the right thing?
I think it was the right thing at the time.
At the time.
You're like, but maybe in the spin-off.
But maybe in the spinoff.
Who doesn't love a rekindled love?
Oh, my God.
First of all, if there's a petition, please send it to get to Lena.
Fantastic.
Would you, did you ever think of doing like a rewatch pod?
I saw that there were like, there was like a girl.
I did the girls' rewatch pod.
You did it.
You were a guest on the one or you did it?
Oh, like would I create my own?
A podcast is a lot of work.
It's a lot of work.
It's a lot of work.
There is a, you went on the.
the girls rewatch pot, you're saying, oh, cute. I love that. It was fun. Another iconic
Shosh line is when you find out the Jemima, I mean, Jessa. Because Jessa is Jemima, though.
Like, maybe you're not Josh, but Jessa is Jemima. Yeah. She was on the pot. We know.
You say to her, are you on Facebook? And then you're like, you're so fucking classy that you're
not on Facebook. Like, that's another line that stayed with me forever because it's so true.
Like, back now it's like Facebook is weird, but when Facebook was cool and you weren't on Facebook,
You know?
How cool was someone not on Facebook?
I was just having this conversation the other day about like, are we heading towards a time where social media will become like...
Uncool?
Like, yeah.
If someone doesn't have an Instagram, like, of course they're cool.
Well, yeah.
Or a psycho.
We need to know.
One and the same.
One and the same.
We said Sex and the City Girl.
Is there like a fave character?
I mean, growing up watching it, obviously I was obsessed with Carrie and just like wanted to be her.
By the way, TikTok is loving on Choche and turning on.
Carrie. I don't know if you guys know. That's a thing. I do not have TikTok, so I'm not aware of this. Yeah. So they are turning on Carrie. They're saying like, how did people ever like her? And actually the clips that these fuckers are choosing, like, they do paint Carrie in a bad light. Like if she'll like show up to Big Sur and be like, Merry Christmas. I mean, you know, she is. She has her cringy moment. Here's the thing too, though. She's not dislike the person we were talking about earlier who like, like, do we think Carrie has anxiety? I think that. I think that. I think that.
But people who don't have anxiety and who have self-confidence are a rare breed.
Yeah.
So you think Carrie didn't.
I mean, I think that she, like, is feeling herself.
Yeah.
Maybe that's what people don't like because they're like, well, fuck her.
Yeah.
I don't feel that way about myself.
Right.
She is a lot.
I don't know.
I feel like we're watching that.
I'd be afraid to turn.
So Carrie then, but maybe somebody else now?
Honestly, are we talking about my favor or who I think I'm most like?
Fave.
I don't know. I also think that that show is very much, it's like an alchemy of all of them.
Yeah. You know what I mean? But I feel like Charlotte for you a little bit.
That's funny. I was going to say that. I know. I felt it. I felt it from you. I felt it. So I was telling you so many shows lines that I loved. Is there one that stayed with you like after all these years that you love or that you quote?
Oh my God. I mean, I don't know. There are a lot. There are a lot. Do people say to you on the street? Do people come up to you and say lines to me? Like lines or lines or.
They call you shows.
They scream showsh at me a lot.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
How do you feel about that?
I mean, anytime I'm recognized, I get uncomfortable.
Yeah?
Yeah, because I just like don't.
I think that there's a protective function.
I don't know if other actors have this, but like when I'm making shit, I forget that people can see it.
Like, I forget that it's going to be like a public commodity in the world to consume.
I totally get it.
Like I say stuff in the pot and I'm like, no one's going to hear it.
Yeah, I just think that it's like, oh yeah, we're just all here.
surrounded by, like, this huge set and all of these people.
I get it. I get it.
And it's just for funzies.
So, yeah, but I don't know.
I love that I love that people love her because I love her.
I know.
And I'm so happy to hear, like, this is the best news that you're, you're on this train to get a
fucking show spin-off.
You know, a girl can dream.
I mean, I think it could happen.
Well, thank you for coming on, Zasha.
Thank you for having me.
