Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Tsar is blaming Hamas for the nearly three-hour delay in the
long-awaited ceasefire in Gaza.
Hamas was obliged to provide the names of the first female hostages to be released at
4 p.m. yesterday. They didn't do so. They
began violating the agreement before it even went into effect.
Amah said the delay in handing over the names of the three hostages that planned to release
today was due to technical field reasons. The group has since released the names of three women.
Hirut Numrudy is still waiting to hear about her son, Tamir,
a soldier who was captured during the October 7th attack.
Here I am with no clue what happened to my son,
if he's being bullied or he gets food or sunlight or if he's even still alive. I have no idea.
Harut Nomroudi speaking there in an interview with the BBC. Fighting has now halted in Gaza,
but during the delay Israel continued to attack targets in Gaza. Palestinian officials say at least 19 people were killed this morning.
The popular video sharing app TikTok no longer available in the U.S. as NPR's Bobby Allen
reports.
Users started reporting it around 10.30 p.m. Eastern time.
When people tried to open their TikTok apps, they received a pop-up that said, sorry, TikTok
isn't available right now.
The message stated the company took the app offline following a law banning the viral
video app.
The blackout follows the Supreme Court last week upholding the law.
Justice has found that TikTok's China ties posed a national security threat
that does not supersede the free speech of millions of Americans who use the app.
It's unclear how long TikTok will be unavailable to its 170 million U.S. users.
But President-elect Donald Trump has promised to rescue the app.
It's unknown how he might accomplish that.

Supporters of the impeached South Korean President Yoon Sung-yol attacked a courthouse which
had issued an arrest warrant for him today. NPR's Anthony Kuhn reports that nine police
officers were injured and dozens of protesters were arrested.
The Western Seoul District Court issued the warrant around 3 a.m., after which protesters
stormed the courthouse, assaulting police, smashing windows, and destroying office equipment and furniture.
It took some 1,400 riot police several hours to regain control of the scene.
Acting President Choe Sang-mok expressed strong regret at the violence, which he called unimaginable
in a democratic society.
Choe ordered tighter security for government facilities and a police investigation into the attack.
Yun himself called for supporters to express themselves peacefully and for police to be tolerant.
Yun faces charges of insurrection for his brief imposition of martial law last month.

President-elect Donald Trump will take his oath of office in doors tomorrow.
His inauguration has been moved to the US Capitol Rotunda
because of frigid weather moving in from the West.

The defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City City Chiefs advanced to the AFC Championship game after a 23 to 14 win
last night over the Houston, Texas. Greg Eklund has more from Kansas City. The
Chiefs pulled away in the fourth quarter when quarterback Patrick Mahomes
completed an 11-yard touchdown pass while falling forward to tight end
Travis Kelsey. Mahomes says Kelsey rises to the occasion.
Yeah, this is a playoff, Travis. I mean, he just, he's a leader, man. And this is what he lives for,
is playing in these moments, having the chance to make big time plays. And he goes out there and does that.
And it seems like he does it every single playoff game.
In the AOC Championship next Sunday, the Chiefs will play the winner of the other conference divisional game
between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.
For NPR News, I'm Greg Eklund in Kansas City.
The Washington commanders will play for the NFC title for the first time in more than
30 years.
Washington beat the Super Bowl favorite Detroit Lions and will next play either the Los Angeles
Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles for a shot at the Super Bowl.

Donald Trump promised to change Washington, D.C.,
a place where there's an old saying,
that personnel is policy.
That's why we have created a new podcast
called Trump's Terms, where you can follow NPR's coverage
of the incoming Trump administration,
from his cabinet secretaries to political advisors
and top military leaders, to understand who they are,
what they believe, and how they'll govern.
