A new development in the disappearance of today's show host Savannah Guthrie's mother.
Authorities in Arizona say they have detained a person for questioning.
The Pima County Sheriff's Office issued a statement after investigators revealed new images
showing a masked armed person at her front door.
Ellen Boyd with Arizona Public Media has more.
Video and still images show an unknown person approaching Nancy Guthrie's doorstep
and tampering with the front door camera the morning of her.
disappearance. The person appears to have a handgun in a front holster, a front zip hoodie, and a backpack.
They appear to hold a handful of leafy branches in front of the lens after ripping a handful from
Guthrie's yard. FBI and Pima County officials said the agencies have been working to recover any
images or video from Guthrie's home that may have been lost or corrupted. Sheriff Chris Nanos previously
said the footage was not available. Officials said the video was recovered from residual data located in
back-end systems. For NPR news, I'm L.M. Boyd in Tucson. A court document unsealed Tuesday shows the FBI
relied on debunk claims of fraud to obtain a search warrant to seize ballots from an election
office in Fulton County, Georgia, and that the investigation was initiated by a lawyer who tried
to help President Trump overturn his election loss in 2020. The affidavit is the first public
justification for last month's FBI search. Food and Drug Administration has dealt a setback to
biotech company that created one of the COVID-19 MRNA vaccines in PR-Sidney-Lupkin reports.
Vaccine maker Moderna says the FDA is refusing to consider approving the company's first flu vaccine,
which also uses MRNA technology.
The FDA told the company the agency isn't satisfied with a company's study comparing
Moderna's mRNA flu vaccine to a standard dose flu vaccine already on the market.
The study showed the Moderna flu vaccine was more effective.
The decision by the FDA, which Moderna said is inconsistent with the agency's previous feedback,
is the latest blow the Trump administration has delivered to efforts to use MRNA technology to develop new vaccines.

British Columbia Premier David Abbey says Tuesday's mass shooting in the small town of Tumblr Ridge is an unimaginable tragedy.
I'd like to take this opportunity to ask British Columbians, to ask all Canadians to wrap the people of Tumblr,
Ridge wrap these families with love.
Not just tonight, but tomorrow and into the future.
This is something that will be rebate for years to come.
Authorities say 10 people were killed, including the suspected shooter,
dozens more injured.
Most of the dead were found at a school.
The two believed to be connected to the shooting were found at a second location at a
Holman Tumblr Ridge.
The office of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a statement saying he's
suspending a planned trip overseas. This is NPR News. On Capitol Hill Tuesday, Congress held the first
hearing over the Trump administration's immigration crackdown since two U.S. citizens were killed in
Minnesota. Democrats pressed three top Trump administration officials days before funding for the
Homeland Security Department is set to expire. Democrats are threatening to block that funding unless
changes are made. Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walls says the federal immigration crackdown
in his state could end soon. Bull said Tuesday he spoke with Tom Holman, President Trump's
border czar, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Wall said he is taking a trust but
verify approach to the situation. In a much anticipated match at the Winter Olympics in Milan,
the United States women's hockey team, easily beat Canada. Steve,
Sutterman reports.
The Americans dominated the game from start to finish,
easily beating their Canadian rivals 5 to nothing.
The U.S. scored twice in the first period,
two more times than the second, once in the third.
Hannah Bilka scored two goals to lead the U.S.
It was the worst defeat ever for the Canadian women in the Olympics.
Still, this is only the preliminary round.
Both the U.S. and Canada are expected to make it into the next round
and because they are the two most dominant teams in women's hockey,
many expect there to be a rematch in the gold medal game.
The U.S. and Canada have won every gold medal in women's hockey
since it became an Olympic sport in 1998.
