                                         Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Jack Spear.
                                         
                                         The Israeli military has carried out multiple strikes directed at a key port in Yemen.
                                         
                                         As NPR's Greg Beire reports, the Israeli attack comes a day after Yemen's Houthi fighters
                                         
                                         fired a missile into central Israel.
                                         
                                         The Israeli military posted a statement saying its jet fighters targeted the seaport of Hodeida
                                         
                                         on Yemen's western coast as well as a nearby concrete factory. The Israelis say both
                                         
                                         facilities are central to Houthi military operations. A day earlier a
                                         
                                         long-range missile from Yemen crashed close to Israel's main airport outside
                                         
    
                                         Tel Aviv causing several injuries. This marked an extremely rare instance of a
                                         
                                         Houthi missile penetrating
                                         
                                         Israeli air defenses and hitting near a sensitive site. The U.S., meanwhile, has been bombing
                                         
                                         Yemen almost daily for seven weeks. The U.S. is demanding a halt to Houthi attacks on ships
                                         
                                         in the Red Sea. Greg Myre, NPR News.
                                         
                                         The Trump administration is out with a proposal that would call for $1,000 payments to immigrants
                                         
                                         in the U.S. illegally who agreed to return voluntarily to their home countries.
                                         
                                         The Department of Homeland Security saying it's already agreed to pay for a plane ticket
                                         
    
                                         for one migrant who returned to Honduras from Chicago.
                                         
                                         Trump has made immigration enforcement a centerpiece of his campaign, though it's been a costly
                                         
                                         resource intensive operation.
                                         
                                         Immigrants rights groups have warned anyone to be very cautious about accepting any such
                                         
                                         offers.
                                         
                                         The 2027 NFL draft will be held on the National Mall.
                                         
                                         As in Buerstranke Ordonez reports, President Trump says the event would bring tourism revenue
                                         
                                         to DC.
                                         
    
                                         Marc Thiessen Trump spoke from the Oval Office where he was flanked by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser,
                                         
                                         NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and Josh Harris, the owner of the Washington
                                         
                                         Commander's football team.
                                         
                                         Trump said the event would showcase American football to the world.
                                         
                                         Every year, hundreds of young football players have their dreams come true as
                                         
                                         the NFL teams across the land.

                                         The Trump administration estimates hundreds of thousands of fans will descend on the city
                                         
                                         to take part of the related events. The announcement comes a week after the commanders and DC officials
                                         
                                         announced a plan to bring the football team back to the city with a new stadium near the

                                         A global group of broadcasters and publishers say they want artificial intelligence developers
                                         
                                         to ensure their technology serves the public by helping to counter misinformation and protect
                                         
                                         the value of fact-based news.
                                         
                                         European Broadcasting Union, the World Association of News Publishers and other partners say
                                         
                                         they want to cooperate with tech companies behind AI, known as News Integrity in the
                                         
    
                                         Age of AI.
                                         
                                         The initiative was unveiled today at the World News Media Congress in Krakow, Poland.
                                         
                                         Rare diverse spring flowers are blooming at Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
                                         
                                         It's home to more than 1,500 flowering plants.

                                         The spring ephemerals in lower elevations of the park usually go dormant in the summer months.
                                         
                                         Some flowers, like the yellow trillium, can only be found in southern Appalachia.
                                         
                                         Visitors are encouraged to download the app iNaturalist to document the spring flowers and other wildlife.
                                         
    
                                         The nonprofit Discover Life in America uses data from that app to keep track of plants and animals in the park.
                                         
                                         Todd Wichert is the executive director. We have a project through iNaturalist called Smokey's Most Wanted and so we try to encourage
                                         
                                         people to look for some very specific things we're wanting to know more about or where
                                         
                                         it is in the park.
                                         
                                         Visitors are advised to avoid picking the flowers.

                                         The White House says it has not yet made any final decisions on President Trump's call
                                         
                                         for tariffs targeting films made outside the U.S. Trump over the weekend said he's authorized the Commerce
                                         
    
                                         Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to slap a 100 percent tariff
                                         
                                         on any and all movies coming into the U.S. that are produced overseas.
