Herbst. President Trump and Elon Musk's public spat is growing. Musk continues to call on
lawmakers to kill Trump's huge spending and tax cut package that's currently in the Senate,
saying it will cause a recession this year. Trump says Musk knew all about the bill, which
Musk denies, and he says he may cancel the federal contracts for Musk's companies.
And here's Danielle Kurtzleben has more. Danielle Kurtzleben There have been business
consequences. Shares of Tesla plummeted this afternoon. Another point is that there are very
tight margins to pass that big, beautiful bill on Capitol Hill. So if Musk has some pull with even
a few Republicans, that could very much hurt that bill's chances of passing. But there's one more really important point here. Amid
all of this today, Musk posted, quote, without me, Trump would have lost the election. Now
that's a reminder. He's saying that he dumped more than a quarter of a billion dollars into
the 2024 election.
And here's Danielle Kurtzleben reporting.

Boulder County DA Michael Doherty was asked about the suspect's deportation status.
I am absolutely committed to making sure the defendant is fully prosecuted. So obviously
making sure he remains in the country is a top priority so that he can be fully prosecuted
and held fully responsible.
Suleiman will be back in court for a preliminary hearing in July. For NPR News, I'm Haley May
in Boulder.

A unanimous Supreme Court ruled that Catholic charities can opt out of participating in
a state unemployment compensation program in Wisconsin, reversing a state Supreme Court
decision.
That could lead to a major exodus from Wisconsin's system and from similar systems in 46 other
states, and that could destabilize the joint federal state unemployment compensation program that's existed for decades.
A woman who was dating Shawn Combs up until his arrest last year testified in the hip
hop moguls trial.
Imperial Isabella Gomez Sarmiento has more.
Speaking under the pseudonym Jane, Combs ex-girlfriend told the court she began dating him in 2021.

She said she felt obligated to keep having these encounters because Combs financially

Jane's testimony will continue into next week.
