15% of the revenue that chipmaker NVIDIA gets from sales of its age 20 microchip in China. That's
according to President Trump, who call the chip obsolete. More from NPR's John Ruich.
The U.S. government, first under Trump during his first term and then under President Biden,
imposed restrictions on the export of high-end microchips to China on national security grounds.
But now, speaking at the White House, Trump says,
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has asked for an exception so that NVIDIA could sell H-20s into the Chinese market.
And I said, if I'm going to do that, I want you to pay us as a country something.
Trump said he asked for a 20% cut and Huang haggled him down to 15%.
The H-20 was designed to be less powerful than the company's top-of-the-line microchips to comply with export controls.
Trump called it obsolete and that it's a chip China already has.
The company says in a statement it follows rules the U.S. government sets for its participation in global markets.

At the end of this week, this current 30-day special session will be gabbled out, and the nanosecond after that happens, I'm going to be calling another special session, and we're going to be making sure that any Democrat who surfaces in the state of Texas in that intervening time is going to be apprehended by the Texas Department of Public Safety and taken to the Texas Capitol and held there to make sure that we are able to meet Quorum.
The GOP stands to gain five congressional seats in Texas under a redrawn map ahead of next year's midterm elections.

New research shows women who experience physical threats of violence, specifically stalking,
have higher rates of cardiovascular disease.
That is according to a study out today from Harvard.
NPR's Katie Riddle has details.
Researchers already know about certain risk factors like smoking and high blood pressure
that can lead to cardiovascular disease.
But this study shows that the extreme psychological stress that comes from being stalked can also lead to heart
disease or heart attacks. Rebecca Lawn worked on the study. It's been emerging in some of our
other work and work by other groups that women's experiences of violence is linked to their
cardiovascular health. And stalking is one that is particularly understudied. The data comes
from a large study of more than 66,000 nurses over 20 years. Katie O'R. News. The Dow Jones
