Starting point is 00:03:58 The study says counties with cattle and hog feeds tend to have higher levels of PM2.5, an air pollutant. Researcher Shannas Kamanara says these pollutants can be linked to health problems. There is no safe level of PM2.5, and PM2.5 actually is linked to, like, asthma, cancer, like leukemia, cardiovascular diseases. The study did point out that correlation does not imply causation. Data also found that communities with animal feeding operations are more likely to have lower levels of health insurance and education. Researchers hope the comprehensive data set can help identify vulnerable communities and inform policy.
