President Trump now says Ukraine can win back all territory lost to Russia.
That's a dramatic shift from earlier this year when he said Keeve would have to make concessions to end the war.
Trump made the comments on social media after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierish kicked off the General Assembly by calling for international cooperation on human rights.
Around the world, we see countries acting as if the rules don't apply to them.
We see humans treated as less than human, and we must call it out.
Impunity is the mother of chaos, and it has spawned some of the most atrocious conflicts of our times.
Israel's war against Hamas and Gaza is expected to take center stage during the meeting.
Global support is growing for a Palestinian state.
Trump has said that would reward, that would be a reward for Hamas.
Mas. Although Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show was recently reinstated by its broadcaster, ABC, it will
not air on stations owned by either Sinclair Broadcast Group or now NextStar Media Group. As NPR's
NETA Ulaby reports, that's more than 20% of ABC affiliates nationwide.
NextStar and Sinclair both operate local TV stations around the country, including dozens of ABC
affiliates. Both companies pulled the show Jimmy Kimmel live from their local stations last week,
under pressure from FCC Chair Brendan Carr.
Next, our needs FCC approval right now
to finalize a merger that would make it
the largest owner of local stations in the country.
In a statement, the company said
it needed assurance that Jimmy Kimmel Live
will foster what it called
Respectful Constructive Dialogue.
It said in the meantime, fans can watch the show
on many Disney-owned streaming services.

Physician groups are pushing back
against President Trump's assertion
that taking acetaminopin during pregnancy could increase the risk of autism.
NPR's Nell Greenfield-Boyce reports.
The Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine says the studies that have been done to date are simply inconclusive.
That was echoed by a statement put out by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
It says that the position taken by the administration is not backed by the full body of scientific evidence.
And noted that one of the largest and best-controlled studies found,
no link between acetaminopin and autism risk.
The groups also pointed out that untreated fever in pregnancy can be harmful
and can increase the risk of miscarriage, birth defects, and premature birth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 88 points today to the 46,292.
The NASDAQ closed down 21523.

Infection rates from drug-resistant bacteria are on the rise dramatically.
Scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say infections from the bacteria rose almost 70% between 2019 and 2023.
It's likely many people are unrecognized carriers of the drug-resistant bacteria.
Researchers say that could lead to community spread.
Doctors worry that infections long-considered routine and easy to,
to treat like urinary tract infections could become chronic problems.
Major League Baseball will soon allow players to challenge called balls and strikes.
The challenge system has been in testing in the minor leagues for several years now
and will make its regular season Major League debut next spring.
NPR's Becky Sullivan has more.
Each team will receive two challenges to start the game.
If you challenge a call and you're right, you can keep the challenge to use again later.
A team's pitcher, catcher, or batter must be the one to challenge the call and they'll do so
by tapping the top of their head.
Then an automated review system powered by a dozen cameras placed around each ballpark
will show on the big screen whether the pitch passed through the strike zone or not.
The system has been in testing in the minor leagues for years now,
and will be tried it out in spring training and the All-Star game this year.
In spring training, there were about four challenges per game.
In all, just over half, were successful.
Catchers were the best at challenging, pitchers were the worst.

Shares of the toy retailer Build a Bear are up more than 60 percent since the
start of the year. Most of the toy industry has been soft in recent years, but profits have
soared for the company, which specializes in plush animals that consumers make in brick-and-mortar
stores. From NPR News, I'm Rylan Barton in Washington.
