President Trump is calling an expanded ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, a historic deal.
The agreement builds on a truce that Trump helped broker three months ago that ended a deadly border dispute.
18 Cambodian prisoners of war will be released and under this agreement, observers from ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, will be deployed to make sure that.
the peace prevails and endures. I have no doubt that it will.
Trump presided over the signing ceremony at the start of the Regional Summit of the Association
of Southeast Asian Nations in Kuala Lumpur. However, longstanding differences over the border
remain. President Trump says he will place an additional 10% tariff on Canadian products.
His announcement follows an anti-tariff ad campaign run by the province of Ontario on major
U.S. television networks, as Dan Carpanchuk reports.
The anti-tariff ad campaign featured clips of an address by former president Ronald Reagan saying tariffs do not work.
And infuriated Trump terminated all trade talks with Canada calling the ads of fraud.
The government of Ontario, which paid $75 million Canadian for the ads, planned to pull them on Monday,
still leaving them to be seen by millions of Americans watching the World Series.
Now, Trump says, they should have been taken off the air immediately,
and he announced to further 10% tariff on Canadian goods as punishment.
A Canadian government official says Prime Minister Mark Carney was not given any warning about the added tariff.
Carney is in Malaysia for the ASEAN summit and is not spoken to Trump.

Two batters later, another home run made it 3 to 1.
L.A. scored two more times in the 8th,

for Dodger starter Yoshiyamamoto,
who pitched the first World Series complete game since 2015.

that's not love.
That line got her a standing ovation, criticizing Democrats for policies allowing transgender
kids to use bathrooms and locker rooms aligned with their gender identity and not their
birth sex has been a key closing message for Earl Sears. The Democrat in the race, Abigail Spanberger,
says local communities should decide on how to handle these issues, not the state. She is focused
instead on affordability in the closing days of the race. For NPR News, I'm Margaret Barthel in
