Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Giles Snyder. President Trump is calling an expanded ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia a historic deal. The agreement builds on a truce that Trump helped broker three months ago that ended a deadly border dispute. 18 Cambodian prisoners of war will be released and under this agreement observers from ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, will be deployed to make sure that the peace. prevails and endures. I have no doubt that it will. Trump presided over the signing ceremony at the start of the regional summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Kuala Lumpur. However, longstanding differences over the border remain. Dozens of Malaysian civil societies and local NGOs gathered in Kuala Lumpur today

to protest against President Trump's attendance at the ASEAN summit. Nine Arrau reports. Outside the city's convention center, demonstrators against President Donald Trump gathered to protest his arrival in Malaysia's capital. Wong Ku Kui is a human rights activist.
