Former President Donald Trump held a rally in Virginia,
where polls show Vice President Kamala Harris
with a comfortable lead there.
Jod Khalil from Virginia Public Media reports.
Virginia is considered a blue state,
but thousands of people packed into a civic center
in the state's conservative Southwest.
This is a lot of people.
What's going on with Virginia? Trump claimed he could win Virginia, which he lost in 2020 by 10 percentage points.
And he said without citing evidence, ballot irregularities kept him from winning even
bluer states like California. Trump lost in California to Biden by 30 percentage points, or 5 million votes.
Trump also repeatedly said the current administration, quote, broke the economy and only he can fix

For NPR News, I'm Jad Kolial in Salem, Virginia.
Republican vice presidential nominee Senator J.D. Vance campaigned in Arizona and Nevada.
Vice President Harris' running mate, Tim Walz also visited the Southwest,

But Trump has repeatedly distanced himself from Project 2025 and claimed not to know
the creators of that project.

Council for Voluntary Agencies, describes the situation in northern Gaza as apocalyptic.
The officials say hundreds of Palestinians in the area
under siege have been killed and thousands more displaced.
Earlier this week, just north of Jabalia,
dozens of Palestinians, including women and children,
were killed by an Israeli strike.
That's according to Gaza health officials.
Israeli officials say they're looking into the incident
and that their intensified campaign in the north is aimed at rooting out Hamas fighters who have regrouped there.
One of the last remaining hospitals in the area was also hit. Israel says Hamas fighters...
