Starting point is 00:01:02 It's all about himself. When I walk in on January 20th, I'll walk in with my to-do list on behalf of the American people. Harris will monitor the results at an election watch party tonight at her alma mater, Howard University. She voted early. Former President Donald Trump voted today. Donning a red MAGA cap, former President Trump
Starting point is 00:01:25 was greeted by supporters at his West Palm Beach campaign headquarters. Earlier, he suggested that electronic voting is a hindrance. This election should be over. They spend all this money on machines. And frankly, if they'd use paper ballots, it would be over by 10 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:01:40 In North Las Vegas, Nevada, the annual Taco Fest is a priority stop for campaigns working to get voters, especially Latinos, to the polls in the final hours. Isabella Rodriguez is a college student who backs Harris. I want an actual where I can look forward to new possibilities for young women to be encouraged by a first female president. That would be amazing. Well, Yama says he's for Trump. A lot of people don't like what he says and that's only a human thing right but the
Starting point is 00:02:09 principles are there and I believe that the principles are correct. Election officials continue to have confidence that there are no security issues affecting voting on a national level but as NPR's Jenna McLaughlin reports some polling places have reported fake bomb threats and technical glitches. Two polling places in Fulton County, Georgia were temporarily evacuated after receiving what authorities described as non-credible bomb threats. Both are located outside Atlanta in areas that are 90% black.
Starting point is 00:02:39 The FBI said it was aware of bomb threats that appeared to originate from Russian email domains. Election officials with the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency continue to say they have not seen any national-level threats to voting. Jenna McLaughlin, NPR News. Whomever is elected president will need Congress to advance their agenda. All 435 seats in the U.S. House and 34 in the U.S. Senate are up for election. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 427 points or more than 1% to end the day at 42,221. The S&P and NASDAQ also closed up more than 1%. It's NPR. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

An Israeli official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations tells NPR that Netanyahu chose today for the announcement because the Biden administration would be otherwise distracted with U.S. elections. Kat Lansdorf, NR News Tel Aviv. Susan B. Anthony's grave site in Rochester, New York has become a tourist destination on Election Day. Scott Fibush reports visitors are lining up to place their I Voted stickers on Anthony's grave.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Megan Brown came from Colorado with her mother Kathy. I'm honestly a little more emotional than I thought I would be. This is just very, it's chilling and humbling. Wearing sashes with Anthony's Votes for Women slogan, the Browns joined locals like Sue Bianchi. She was here in 2016, hoping to celebrate the election of the first woman as president then. She's nervous, but hopeful again this year.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Being a Bills fan, you want to see them win one before you go. So I think that's what it means to me. It means a lot for my daughter. I want to have her see that." The stickers on the plastic cover protecting Anthony's grave are now artifacts in their own right. After the election, they too go on display at the cemetery.
