Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Koriva Coleman.
Election day has actually dawned and polls have just opened in some eastern states.

The election is now in the hands of the people who voted for the president. From NPR News in Washington, I'm Korva Coleman. Election Day has actually dawned. And polls have just opened in some eastern states.
The presidential candidates have campaigned until the very last moment.
Vice President Harris crisscrossed the key swing state of Pennsylvania yesterday.
She ended last night on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, made famous by the movie Rocky.
There, Harris told supporters her campaign is about bringing Americans together. I have lived the promise of America and today I see the promise of
America in everyone who is here. In all of you. We are the promise of America.
Former President Donald Trump took the stage after midnight at his last rally in Grand
Rapids, Michigan.
And B.R.'s Franco OrdoƱez reports this is the third time Trump has capped off his presidential
campaign in that city.
The former president was clearly moved by the exuberant crowd, thanking them repeatedly
and at one point seeming to get emotional.
Your support means more than anything you can even understand.
It's amazing.
I love you all.
You're very special.
This is my last rally.
Can you believe it?
The rally is...
After 10 rallies in three days, Trump looked worn down.
He spoke more slowly and his voice sounded hoarse.
He spoke for almost two hours, though, continuing his false claims of election fraud and repeatedly
attacking political enemies, calling Vice President Kamala Harris a radical left lunatic,
and referring to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as the, quote, B-word.

Voters in 10 states are deciding questions about abortion access.
Some measures seek to enshrine reproductive rights in state constitutions, even in states
such as Colorado and New York, where abortion is already protected.
In states such as Florida and Missouri, which outlaw most abortions, voters could choose
to dramatically expand abortion access.
Striking machinists at Boeing have voted to accept a contract offer from the aircraft
maker.
NPR's Joel Rose reports the vote ends the union's strike after 53 days.
The agreement was approved by 59 percent of union members who voted.
It includes a 38 percent raise over four years, more than the company's initial offer of 25%,
though still short of the 40% the union wanted. The union district president John Holden hailed
the agreement as a victory. Still, some members expressed disappointment. Many are still angry
about losing their traditional pension plans in the last round of bargaining 10 years ago.
Boeing refused to budge, though it did agree to pay more into workers 401k plans. Machinists could be back on the job at Boeing's factories as
soon as Wednesday. Joel Rose, NPR News.

A man who successfully challenged a federal ban on bump stocks is getting back his gun
enhancement devices. Michael Cargill spent more than five years challenging the Trump successfully challenged a federal ban on bump stocks is getting back his gun enhancement
devices. Michael Cargill spent more than five years challenging the Trump-era ban and finally
prevailed in the Supreme Court last June. And Piers Niedetotenberg reports it took until
this week for a federal court to carry out the high court's mandate.
President Trump ordered the ban on bump stocks in 2017 after a single gunman at a Las Vegas
concert used multiple guns modified by bump stock devices to kill 60 people and injure
400, all in the space of 11 minutes.
President Trump then ordered the ATF to reexamine whether bump stocks violated the 1934 banning
machine guns, and the federal agency concluded that the devices illegally
converted semi-automatic weapons into illegal machine guns.
But the Supreme Court's conservative supermajority disagreed, saying the ATF had exceeded its
authority.
Now, a federal judge has ordered the agency that seized the devices to return them to
Mr. Cargill.

The State Department says Israel is still not doing enough
to improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
The U.S. has said it's a key requirement,
or Israel could face a reduction in certain U.S. aid.
The U.S. had set a 30-day deadline
for Israel to improve the aid efforts,
and the agency says there's a little more than a week left for Israel to comply.
