Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. The Associated Press is reporting that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has arrived
at Mar-a-Lago tonight to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.
The visit comes a few days after Trump announced sweeping tariffs against Canada and Mexico.
Trump warned the duties will remain in place until the countries do more to stop the influx
of migrants and illegal drugs across their borders.
Lake effect snow warnings have been issued
for parts of western New York state.
Forecasters say those areas could receive
up to two feet of snow.
Parts of northwestern Pennsylvania are also expected
to see severe weather.
Erie County Executive Mark Polensker says the storm
is likely to create hazardous travel conditions making some roads impassable.
Extreme means it will be exceptionally dangerous travel. There will be blizzard
like conditions. The National Weather Service says lake effect snow warnings
will be in place until 7 a.m. Monday morning. Several of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks received
bomb threats to their homes this week and PR's Julianna Kim reports the FBI
says an investigation is underway. Among those targeted by bomb threats were Elise
Stefanik who President-elect Donald Trump picked to be the next ambassador to the
United Nations as well as Lee Zeldin, Trump's to be the next ambassador to the United Nations,
as well as Lee Zeldin, Trump's pick for the next head of the Environmental Protection Agency.
According to the FBI, some of Trump's nominees were also the target of swatting attacks,
which is when someone makes a hoax call about a crime occurring with the intention of drawing
a massive law enforcement presence to a certain location. It's a fear tactic that originated in the gaming community around 15 years ago.
Democratic members of Congress from Connecticut also reported receiving bomb threats against
their homes on Thanksgiving.

The newly installed president of the European Council is stressing the need for frank dialogue
with the U.S. under President-elect Donald
Trump.
Alison Roberts reports Portugal's former prime minister is urging Europeans to listen to
what the new president has to say.
In an interview with Portugal's Publical Newspaper, Antonio Costa argued that security and trade
are inseparable in U.S.-Europe ties.
While not saying whether he expects Trump to impose tariffs on Europe,
he warned that at a time of actual war, opening a trade war would pour fuel on the fire.
It is in the US's interests not to weaken Europe's economy, he argued, saying trade talks with the US will be tough but must succeed.
Kosta was tapped to replace Belgium's Charles Michel as council president. He's known as a bridge builder who has had productive relationships with European
leaders on the left and the right. For NPR News, I'm Alison Roberts in Lisbon.
This is NPR. Disney Princess Moana is setting box office records with a couple
of Wicked Witches close behind. NPR's Bob Mandelo reports.
Moana 2 and Wicked Part 1 were originally scheduled to open head-to-head the day before Thanksgiving.
But since they'd be competing for much the same audience, mostly women and girls, Wicked moved up one weekend to have that crowd to itself.
Now Moana's joined the fray, and it looks as if she will easily sail past the previous
record holder, Frozen 2, for the five-day weekend.
Partly that's because Moana is playing to such a diverse crowd, more than a third Hispanic
and another third Black and Asian, that its audience overlaps less with Wicked's than
expected.
Industry estimates have Moana earning $175 seventy five million dollars this weekend while wicked which had already collected a hundred and
thirteen million last weekend is expected to add another hundred and five
million by Sunday

Korean demilitarized zone the cafe is located on an observation tower at the border with
