Here's the morning headlines from Michael Hill.
Starting today, C-Train riders can expect changes to midday service.
WNIC's Tiffany Hanson has more.
Back in May, Governor Kathy Hokel and the MTA announced a four-phase plan for subway service in his
The first phase was implemented last month on the J, G, and M lines.
The second phase begins today with upgrades to C-line service.
Trains are expected to arrive on the C-line every 8 minutes instead of every 10 minutes.
Weekday services are also increasing on the N&R lines.
Weekend increases are happening on the 1-6 lines.
As many as 800,000 riders stand to benefit due in large part to midday ridership numbers recovering after a pandemic.

New York State budget. Friends of New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, who passed away last
week, are remembering her legacy as the highest ranking black official in state history.
Here's Terry Tucker, Oliver's chief of staff and friend, recalling her.

it in the box and then she would talk about it.
Oliver was the first black woman to serve as Speaker of the New Jersey State Assembly
before becoming Lieutenant Governor in 2018.
She died at the age of 71.

A public three-day celebration of Oliver's life will begin on Thursday.
Tough time for the New York Mets.

The Baltimore Orioles swept the Mets this weekend.
The plummeting Mets have fallen to a season worst 11 games below 500.
They begin a series tonight against the Cubs at City Field.
